Undereage Superheroes On The Rise: A Morally and Ethically Cause of Concern?
It's supposed to be another clickbait news but it comes at the time when the existence of ghost was recently proved factual at a small town in Illinois along witha its dead teenage superhero, when the heroes of Paris and by large France accidentally revealed they weren't adults at all, not even close, when Spiderman was unmasked to be 16-year-old Peter Parker, when the Young Justice was wounded in a large scale attack.
Most of the people involved and not involved are not having fun.
(This is inspired by the Miraculous fanfic The Growing Pains of Child Soldiers by BloodWolf13, a fic which I recommend you read since it is very, very good. Hits all my whump and angst points)

New at Life | Chapter 1
Steven Grant/Marc Spector x latina!teen!reader

Summary:
Moving to a new country for university, a Hispanic 18-year-old girl by the name of Y/N L/N sets off to start her adult life in London.
Adapting is difficult, but when you befriend a man in his 30s who works at a museum gift shop, has DID, and is on a mission to save the world from a crocodile goddess, things become easier than you expected.
Note: This takes place month before the show. Meaning Steven still doesn’t know about Marc.
———————————————————
Y/N stared at her open suitcase, even though everything was neatly folded and packed, it seemed like she was battling her luggage. She continued to use all her might to keep the suitcase shut as she tried to zip it closed but the clothes withing threatened to erupt.
Even though it was barely 11 of the morning, it was still too early for her to be using all the energy on packing her things. With an annoyed mutter beneath her breath, she leaned her body weight onto the top of the case, “Why won’t you fucking close?”
With enough pressure, she finally used her free hand to zip the suit case shut. She stood up and took a deep breath and fixed her hair, “See, was that so hard?”
After her grunting, she took a second to listen to the movement of the house. There was none. The only thing she could hear was the quiet chatter of her parents waiting in the living room.
Walking out of her room one last time, she looked back to make sure she had everything before walking into the living room. Immediately she was met with the aroma of the pozole her family ate last night. Now thinking of it, there won’t be much of that to where she’s going. Her mother's delicious home-cooked meals, the comforting routine of her own house, and the familiarity of everything around her - all of it would be left behind as she headed off.
Once in the living room, she saw her father sitting on the couch with his arms crossed as her mother stood beside him. Once they noticed her, they all turned to face her.
Her father, as always, showed no expression but her mother showed a bit of worry.
“Ya empacastes todo?” her mother asked, glancing down at the grey suitcase that her daughter held.
*you packed everything?
“Si,” Y/N nodded.
Her mother only nodded. Y/N understood why she was acting like this, afterall, she was the youngest of her two siblings. When she said that she wanted Y/N to go to college, she didn’t mean one that thousands of miles away.
She tried giving Y/N the silent treatment for the last few days, believing it would make her feel guilty and stay. It didn’t obviously.
Y/N could have gone to a university or even a community college near by, but it was already heard of in her family. Why not go bigger?
Growing up in a Hispanic household, it was ingrained in you that an education was needed just to survive. Which is why most of her cousins from both sides of her family were seen going to college.
However, her parents were the only ones from both sides who’s children didn’t pursue for that height, yet. With her older older siblings not going down the path of success as their cousins, Y/N’s parents had very high expectations for her, as she was their last child.
With her mother praising her intelligence, her aunts and uncles expected her to use it wisely. She was now in the center stage of the entire family, watching her closely.
Which is why a university in London sounded like a great idea to give your parents something to show off to their siblings and nephews.
Still, it seemed like the bare minimum in todays world, you know with the upbringing of young heroes and all.
Rumors of Spider-Man being the same age as her plus an apprentice for Stephen Strange, and a sidekick for Hawkeye made her family’s belief in her much more challenging to climb.
But how would she be able to live to that expectation, especially coming from a small city in the corner of Califoria, where people being successful was unheard of, less becoming a superhero.
“Ya estas lista?’ her father spoke, breaking her out of her narration.
*are you ready?
She blinked, “Huh?”
“Uy pues, si ya estas lista? Estas sorda o que?” his tone was harsh, but it always was.
*if you are ready? Are you deaf or what?
Annoyance, was probably the only emotion he ever showed. Y/N doesn’t remember a time where he never scowled or insulted her. Maybe he was born with no feelings besides anger.
“Oh, si. Ya estoy lista,” she says quickly.
*Oh yeah. I'm ready
He grunts and begins walking to the truck. Quickly, she grabs her belongings and loads them into the backseat. As they drive away, she gives one final look at her childhood home before it disappears from view.
——
As Y/N arrived at the airport, she was greeted by her two older siblings along with her nephews. The oldest, approaches her with a smile, mixed with joy and sadness. She wishes her luck and tells her how much she will miss her. Of course, Y/N can’t just leave without teasing her about how the “real” reason she is leaving is to escape her kids. This earns her a small push before her brother approaches her.
He tells her to not come back with a british accent while nudging her playfully.
“Man stop. I’m not, don’t want you getting a brain tumor” she replied, shoving him back lightly.
After saying her goodbyes to her family, Y/N made her way to her plane. She felt a mix of emotions - excitement, nervousness, and a tinge of sadness. She takes a deep breath and closes her eyes once she sat on her seat. She feels the plane start to move, slowly at first and then picking up speed as it made its way down the runway.
——
“Ladies and gentlemen, Cosmos Air welcomes you to London. The local time is 8 of the morning. For your safety and the safety of those around you, please remain seated with your seat belt fastened and keep the aisle clear until we are parked at the gate." a feminine British voice came through the airplane speakers.
If the turbulence hadn't jolted Y/N awake, the announcement certainly did. She stood up and stretched her arms, feeling the stiffness in her muscles from the long flight. She gathered her belongings and made her way down the aisle, following the stream of passengers towards the main area of the airport.
As she stepped out of the airport, she stood still, taking in the surroundings of the country. Y/N already had a good idea of how London would look but it was still different seeing it face to face. The architecture, the people, the sounds, and the smells were all so different from what she was used to back home.
"Alright, let’s see where my apartment is at," she said quietly. She pulled out her phone to look for the address and without any delay, she called a cab and headed off to her place.
——
Pushing through the throngs of vendors and people milling about the street, Y/N eventually arrived at a large brick building that looked like it had seen better days. It was a tall, multi-story structure holding several floors. In the front side of the building had two-pane windows, each with the curtain of whatever resident lived there.
Looking at the whole picture, it didn’t look the best but then again she was only a recent highschool graduate. So affording a modern suite in a better part of London wasn’t very possible for her.
She walked up the front steps of the building, standing before a long intercom that was plastered beside the doors. Y/N looked for the button to call the owner. She hesitated for a moment, taking a deep breath before she buzzed herself in and waited for a response.
The sound of crackling filled her ears, and a voice asked for her name and apartment number. Y/N responded, her heart was racing, she was rather excited but highly nervous still. With a click of the door, she tugged on the handle and was let in.
An old man who sat behind a wooden wall where one could still talk to him through a small opening peered at Y/N over his glasses, his eyes sharp and inquisitive. "Was it you who called from the states?" he inquired.
Y/N nodded, "Uhm, yeah, can I start heading in? Or how does that go?” she was already nervous so she couldn’t help how her voice trembled.
He gave a small laugh, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Yes, the room is ready. You can move in already," he said, gesturing towards the door. "I take it you never moved out on your own?" he asked, his tone gentle and understanding.
"Nope, I traveled by myself too," she added, hoping to redeem herself in his eyes.
The man smiled kindly at her, his demeanor reassuring. "I see, well if you need anything just let me know," he said, before handing her a key and giving her detailed directions to her new apartment.
--
--
As Y/N waited for the elevator to get to the fifth floor, she couldn't help but notice the dingy and worn-out state of the surroundings. The elevator was surrounded by mirrors, which had seen better days, with tags and scratches marring the reflective surface.
"Not so different from California then," she muttered to herself, trying to make light of the situation.
After what felt like an eternity, the elevator arrived with a beeping sound, and the doors slid open with a creak. Y/N stepped out of the elevator and into a narrow hallway with green carpet and beige walls. The hallway was dimly lit, with flickering fluorescent lights casting a pallid glow on everything around her. As she looked down the hallway, she noticed that each apartment door was painted a dark teal color, with a golden number stenciled onto it.
She made her way down the hallway, examining each door until she finally arrived at her own. Excitement coursed through her veins as she fumbled with the key, trying to get it into the doorknob. Once she stuck it in and turned, it didn’t budge. The door remained stubbornly shut.
She tried many times again and again, maybe it was how she was holding it? No. Her grip? No. The thought of having to go back to the old man on the first floor filled her with dread. She was the one out of the her three siblings who didn’t like dealing with conflict or confrontations. Hell, one time she couldn’t even tell a waitress that she got the wrong order because she didn’t want to anger her.
Aside from her social anxiety, she didn’t want to humilate herself just because she can’t open a damn door.
Her last thought was to just slump down to the floor and hope that the door magically opened on its own. Just as she was about give up, she heard the door behind her open, causing her to jump slightly in surprise.
“Ah, are you having trouble with the door?” A man's voice broke through her thoughts, and she turned to face him, grateful for the distraction.
Y/N's eyes fell on the man standing in front of her, who appeared to be in his late 30s. He had tanned skin that looked like it had seen the sun more than a few times, and his dark wavy hair was slightly disheveled.
He was dressed in a grey jacket that looked expensive, and a satchel was slung over his shoulder. She couldn't help but feel a little envious of how put-together he looked compared to her own disheveled appearance.
Her cheeks flushed with a tinge of embarrassment, “I wasn’t being too loud was I?”
“...What if I said you were, just slightly?” He winced, almost pinching his thumb and pointer finger together to emphasize the amount.
He appeared timid, his shoulders slouched, but you could tell he was tense. He did, however, have a soft, kind expression on his face and a friendly smile.
“May I?” He motioned to the key, trying to bury the topic of who was loud.
Y/N was immediately removed from her thoughts, "Oh! Yeah! Uhm yes please..".
She stepped aside, allowing the man to approach the door. He took the key from her and inserted it into the doorknob, giving it a few twists and turns. She watched as he worked his magic, observing the way his hands behaved.. Suddenly, there was a satisfying click, and the door swung open with a few jiggles.
"Thank you so much, I would have had to sleep on the hallway floor haha…" She chuckled and nervously rubbed the back of her neck.
"Oh, no need to worry, love! When I first moved into this flat, both my dear mum and I had our fair share of troubles. I still haven’t a scooby why they haven’t tried fixing it," he furrowed his brows as he stared at the doorknob.
She paused and cocked her head to the side, wondering if she heard correctly. Was the word ‘scooby’ a slang word in Britain? Realizing now, she might be hearing more with her time being in London.
When he saw her confused expression, he immediately explained himself. “Oh! Your accent tells me you're not from around here, specifically England, right?"
“Yeah, aside from the accent, it was obvious huh?” she scratched the back of her head, feeling somewhat vulnerable at being outed.
He nodded but still kept a smile, “It was, I won’t lie. Well if it was the word ‘scooby’ that made you miffed, then it is just a word many here use for ‘clue’, not sure why though,"
She nodded for a long period until she spoke up again, “What does ‘miffed’ mean?”
Steven blinked before giving a small chuckle, “It means confused,”
Y/N made an ‘oh’ sound and nodded to the new found knowledge of british slang. He then asked if there was any american slang words he should know about. She took a minute to think of any, trying to filter through her vocabulary.
“Well, I know ‘heavy’ is a word to say if something is emotionally serious” She continued to think but she couldn’t think of anything else, “Yeah no, I can’t think of anything else,”
This time it was his turn being confused, he stood still trying to analyze the last phrase, “So yes you can think of something, or…”
She furrowed her brows at him but then it clicked, “Oh right! Well the phrase ‘yeah no’ just means ‘no’ and vice versa.”
“Oh, so that’s what it means. I don’t understand why you just wouldn’t say a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’,” he placed held his chin.
She shrugged, “I mean same with you Brit’s, why not just say ‘clue’ instead of saying the name of a dog who solves mysteries,”
“You have a point, guess we both learned something new,” he said before his eyes widened, “Oh right! Uhm my name is Steven. Steven Grant,”
He stuck his hand out at her, which she returned the gesture. His hand felt calloused, which was odd since he didn’t seem like the type to do hard labor, “I’m Y/N. Y/N L/N” she smiled.
“Well, I shall be seeing you more around here Y/N. I am glad to be the first to welcome– oh my god!” He notices the time on his watch and suddenly jolts up. Y/N jumps at the reaction, thinking maybe she had offended him in a way.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I have to get going to work, it was nice meeting you!" He yells before rushing towards the the elevator, pressing the button, and entering. As the doors close, Y/N gives him a wave which he does in return.
She smiles, grabbing all of her belongings that she left on the floor and brings them inside the apartment. She still thought of the encounter with Mr.Grant, how he was probably one of the kindest people she has met in her lifetime. Part of her hoped that she would see him again, hoping he would be the rock she needed as she adjusts to London.
The moment she walks in, she is immediately in the living room. The wooden floors creak beneath her as she puts her things down and shuts the door. Taking in the size, it wasn’t the biggest but it also wasn’t the smallest. Straight ahead is a large window that overlooks the city, allowing sunlight to flood the entire apartment.
Turning to her left was a kitchen. The design was odd, the kitchen was almost a room of its own, except the front wall was non existent except for a wide bottom-half of a beam. Infront of it was a wooden table and two wooden chairs. Aside from looking weird, she didn’t complain since it had everything from a fridge to a stove and sink.
Across from the kitchen area was a white wooden door. Turning the doorknob, she was met with a very simple bathroom with big white tiles on the floor. A white ceramic sink is located on the left wall, and the pipes are visible at the bottom. A dusty square mirror can be found near the top. The toilet is across from the sink, and the shower is next to it at the far end of the room. It has a tub that is attached to the floor and a silver showerhead on the left which seems it has rusted. The shower curtain is white but has a yellow stain.
She steps out, making a mental note to buy a new one. She walks towards the corner of the apartment, trying to find a bedroom door but there is none. "Nowhere to sleep?" She asks herself, until she remembers she is renting a studio room.
Meaning she would have to plan the placement of her bed in the living room at a later time. At the very least, they provided her with a couch, so she won't have to sleep on the floor for night or until she gets a mattress.
Once she explored all the hidden kinks of the flat, she began unpacking and putting things together. She covered the couch with a bed sheet, since she didn’t know who or what might have sat on it. Adding her pillow and blanket, she moved on to putting up the calendar.
She takes a step back and marks when her classes begin, “I have a month then?”.
A month to gather money for her apartment and wellbeing. She’ll probably leave job hunting for tomorrow. Y/N returns to the couch and lies down, her mind setting up schedules and such to have a successful four year life in London.
However it was cut off when she heard and felt her stomach growl, giving her an unpleasant feeling. "Right, I haven’t eaten since the plane,", she takes out her phone from the pocket of her jacket.
With only a small amount of money, she looked through Google for cheap place to grab something to eat. Since she didn’t want to go to a fancy restaurant where she had to dress better than what she was wearing, she chose to go to a McDonald’s nearby. Thank god for western influence in Europe.
She stood up from the couch and grabbed her tote bag from the floor. Once she put on her shoes, she beelined to the elevator.
The elevator was going to be something to get used to when trying to leave. Usually she would only step out of the front gate of her house and go into whoever’s car that was going to give her a ride.
As she waited for the elevator to make it to the first floor, the noticed the lights flickering. It was only for a moment before they stopped and continued to buzz.
With the way the doors fail to unlock and the price for a studio apartment, its no wonder they couldn’t afford to fix the electricity.
The elevator chimed and she expected to be at the end of ride until she noticed the small analog screen showing she was only down a level. The doors opened and an elder woman walked in.
Y/N gulped, it was one small fear she had when riding elevators. Sharing them with a complete stranger and having to be in complete silence. With the way the elevator slowly descended to each floor, she can already sense herself trying to force the woman into a conversation.
“So, how is England?” she slowly turned her head to the woman, holding a smile.
“Uh, I believe it is fine, as long as the queen is,” the woman said quickly, looking away from Y/N.
Y/N nodded but continued her nervous rambling, “Right, I forgot about the queen. Question from a foreigner though, what happens if she dies which I hope she doesn’t anytime soon. Do we not work for a week? Or is that something only for british students? Actually now that I think about it, do you guys have the faces of all the kings and queens in each classroom? Do you guys celebrate a king or queen day? Or are they separate?”
The old woman only widened her eyes but stayed quiet. In Y/N’s peripheral vision, she could see the woman clutch her purse closely. Understanding her discomfort, Y/N immediately stopped talking, straightening her position and looking anywhere but the woman from the awkwardness she had just created.
As if the the old woman’s prayers have been answered, the elevator chimed and opened to a different floor. Quickly, she rushed out without looking back.
Once Y/N was left alone and the doors closed, she cursed herself, “You are so fucking stupid. You could have just stayed quiet”
-
Since the fast food chain was only a 30 minute walk, she decided to use that time to look around. As she did, she quickly noticed the differences from her hometown and London.
Aside from the fact that it was colder, even though it was July, the buildings appeared older. It was the type of area that she always dreamed of living in since she was in middle school. Maybe that was the reason why she chose to attend a university there. It was still nice though, it was a nice change of pace instead of hearing sirens and such every once in a while. For now.
The walk was rather relaxing, especially after putting in her earbuds.
Once she arrived, she ordered her food and quickly ate beside a window. The sun was still up and it didn’t seem like it would be setting soon. Checking her phone for the time she saw that she had enough time to continue to explore the city. Mainly to see where the nearest groceries were and what other stores the area offered.
——
The elevator doors opened with its signature chime revealing Y/N holding a bag full of groceries. After spending all day, her feet were swore from her adventure and all she wanted to do was lay down.
Once she reached her door, she grabbed her key and positioned it to the keyhole. However, she paused, trying to remember how Mr.Grant pulled it off again. She inserted it and jiggled it, hoping for that same clicking sound.
“That’s not it,” she muttered under her breath.
Once more, but this time she turned the key from left to right, then left again. Maybe it was a pattern she had to follow.
She groaned, “Not it.”
Without realizing, a few of the tenants on the floor passed by her, some smirking at her failure. “Of course, I mean how can anyone not know how to open a door? They must be utterly ridiculous,” she mocked a british accent.
After a few more tries, she gave up and leaned her head against the door, letting her arms fall limp. It as a pathetic sight. She rethought of what her parents told her, and they were right. She won’t be able to anything on her own.
She heard the elevator chime and its doors open once again. Expecting another tenant to come and ridicule her, she sighed.
She decided to continue mocking the british accent because why not? If they can make fun of her, then so can she. “Continue to walk away and laugh as I try to unlock my damn door instead of helping me because that makes you so much better than me, you god damn buffoon,” she mocked once again.
“Is that really what we sound like to you?” Steven’s voice spoke up.
Y/N raised her head immediately, earning her a short jetlag. She looked over to Steven who wore a smile that practically said, ‘Here comes your knight in shining armor’.
“What if I said yes?” she flipped herself, leaning her back towards the door.
He only gave a small laugh, “Then I would say you need more practice with your accent if you really are trying to fit in. Need help with the door?”. He gestured to the door.
“Yup,” she nodded and handed him the key. She moved away from the door but stayed close to see how he did it.
With a simple click, the door opened and he held his arms out, gesturing to his accomplishment, “Ta-da!”.
Y/N could only stand there, surprised, “Okay you have to be fucking with me, is there a pattern or something that everyone was told except me?”
"Not exactly," he said quietly, "all you have to do is nudge the key a few times to the left after you turn it and– pop!”
"So there is a pattern," she nods. "Anything else I should know about?"
He looks up, trying to remember any valuable information, "Not really, just remember to lock your door, since there have been break-ins, but that is only in the second floor,"
She nods and walks inside with her bag of groceries, but then stops, "Thanks by the way, for helping me with the door, and sorry about the horrible accent," she rubs the back of her neck.
"Oh no worries, love; if you need anything else, I'm just a knock away." He smiles and waves as he walks to his own apartment, which is right across from hers.
Y/N closes the door to her apartment and locks it, listening to what Mr.Grant said. She makes her way to one of her suitcases and pulls out her sleepwear for the night. Once she changes clothing, she walks to the window, the creaking of the wood floor following behind her. She looks at the overview of the city, lights begin to illuminate as the sky darkens.
She brings out her phone, putting the camera at an angle to get the best view of the buildings. Once snaps a shot, she uploads it to her social media with the location tagged to it.

Hiiii I love your adventure swap au! Currently obsessing over Hyrule with Time's adventures. I have so many questions! Does he resent the sword too? How does he cope with all the ✨️Trauma✨️? Thank you for reading this!
Hyrule doesn’t necessarily resent the Master Sword, but it feels heavy. It was a burden that was placed on him far too young, and he can’t help but view the sword as a representation of the things he was chosen to endure. When he learns about Fi from Wild and Sky, he feels a bit guilty for how he views the sword, but tries to assure himself that it’s not that he dislikes Fi, it’s that he dislikes the thing her blade represents. (Maybe he wishes that Fi had been awake during his journey. Maybe if she had, he wouldn’t have felt so alone.)
Adding a cut here because it gets more into Hyrule’s trauma and how he copes. Nothing too serious or graphic, but it is a little heavy
Hyrule is at a particularly tough time in his life. He’s 17, right at the age he woke up at. He’d been sent back to live his childhood, yes, but he still remembers what it was like to be 10 years old in a 17 year old’s body. He distinctly remembers how wrong and unnatural it felt to simply exist in a nearly adult body, and even though he’s now grown into it naturally, he still clearly remembers a time when it had felt wrong, and those feelings linger like phantom sensations.
He doesn’t really know how to deal with it. He does what he can, doing his best to assure himself that this too shall pass (even if a part of his mind whispers doubts. He’d lived through a time where it wouldn’t pass, after all. Can he truly be sure it won’t happen again?). He doesn’t know how to combat the feeling of wrongness, so he just tries to do other things to help soothe it. He wears his favorite clothes frequently so that the comforting texture and shape won’t make him feel any worse, he does his best to keep his hands busy with his instruments even when he’s not playing, and if he gets too overwhelmed with it he shifts into his fairy form for a break. It’s always felt more natural than his Hylian form, after all.
When he was younger and got dragged into the war of eras, he expressed a lot of the complicated feelings he was going through by causing trouble. The Fierce Deity mask had seared marks onto his face and stolen the color from his eyes. Others found him creepy, and he leaned into it heavily. Getting a reaction out of adults was incredibly fun, but it also made it easier to handle the sort of rejection he was often facing. If he intentionally acted weird and creepy and found amusement in it, then it wouldn’t hurt so much when other people found him weird and creepy.
Meeting Time, Sky, and Wind’s Grandma during the war across eras was a huge help. Wind’s Grandma acted as both a comforting and an authority figure, Sky quickly got used to his antics and became a sort of older brother figure, and Time was the first kid his age that he didn’t feel completely disconnected with. Saying goodbye to them was difficult, but they all left lasting impacts on him and helped him start finding ways to cope with his struggles on his own.
Now that he’s reunited with some of them and met other heroes like him, he tries to figure out how they cope. He’s basically taking notes on how all of them cope, especially Time. Hyrule really starts looking up to time, especially after seeing him grow into someone who healed. If Time can do it, then so can he. It gives him hope that this rough time really will get better.
He struggles to sleep without playing a particular magic song to soothe himself (but even then it doesn’t work on the full moon). He struggles to find a balance between comforting solitude and being lonely, even among a group of people he considers brothers. He struggles with emotions he can’t put a name to and feelings he doesn’t know what to do with.
Despite these struggles, he’s not alone. He’s doing alright, and even if he often feels lost, uncertain, or just plain wrong, he’s working hard to help himself and heal.

“Link…?”
He was quiet. Eerily quiet. He was just across the table from her, his eyes fixed on a point above her head, but he wasn’t seeing. Not really. It had been three years since the defeat of the Calamity; three years since she’d been freed from that malice prison and reunited with the boy that had given his life for her. He wasn’t a boy anymore, though–and she wasn’t a girl. They’d grown up quickly in their days prior to the Calamity because they had to, but even without the weight of the world on their shoulders, there was no getting back what they had lost.
Three years of relearning each other. Three years of new companionship and new lives; three years into a fresh start for both of them. She’d learned what looks like that meant: far away gaze, stunned silence. It scared her at first, because when Hyrule’s Hero froze like he’d been possessed, well, it would unsettle anyone. He was remembering something, or so she was hoping, because the alternative was…worse. Much worse.
A little self-consciously, Zelda raised a hand to press against her stomach.
“Link?” she tried again, reaching across the table with her free hand to take and squeeze his. He moved, then, drawing his blue eyes back to her.
“I’ve heard those words before,” he said, and though she figured it wasn’t at all in the way she was thinking, it still felt like a slap in the face. “My… my mother– I was young. Eight, maybe? She sat me down, just like this, and she…” His brows furrowed, the corner of his mouth twitching. “She told me I was going to be a brother. That I was going to have a sister.”
It wasn’t often that Link spoke of his family. A fractured memory meant it was a touchy subject; he didn’t remember as much of them as he should, and Zelda knew that thought tore him apart on a daily basis. He felt guilty over it, like he felt over plenty that he couldn’t control. She’d never met his family. She knew his father was some skilled knight in her father’s guard, but she’d never known his mother or his sister. She didn’t even know he had a sister.
“Oh,” she breathed in response, offering his hand another squeeze. He was holding onto hers like it was a lifeline, and he was trembling. She could feel the sweat pooling against her palm–sweat that wasn’t hers.
“I… I miss them,” he said, dropping his gaze to the wooden top of the table between them.
“Tell me about them,” Zelda offered and leaned a bit forwards in her seat. How odd it felt to change the topic of conversation so abruptly, especially from something so serious, but he needed her right now.
Link’s brows twitched, like he was searching that beautiful brain of his for any other memory he could dig up. She could not imagine how hard it must’ve been.
“My father… He would always…bring home gifts for my mother, and he always made sure to play with us. We were happy, I think.” Happy. Happy before Link pulled the sword and disrupted their little family with the idea that he had to leave and become a knight; leave and prepare to face the one threat that wanted to rip the kingdom apart. He raked a hand through his hair and she wished she could offer more comfort to him than just a squeeze of the hand. She swallowed thickly, trying to suppress her own fears for the sake of his.
“They sound lovely,” she told him, giving a small, strained smile.
“Watching them…my parents, how they always seemed so…” He paused, searching. “...in love. I used to want that too. I remember…”
His eyes met hers at last. She didn’t know how to read them.
“Yes..?” she prompted, though part of her feared she didn’t want to hear the answer at all.
“I wanted to be happy,” he told her, like it was nothing more than a simple matter-of-fact. It was something everyone wanted, but to hear it come from him–it hurt, because he hadn’t gotten that chance. Zelda swallowed again, and her voice was much smaller when she asked,
“Are you?”
It sounded easy enough. Yes or no. But Link’s mouth twitched again in a way that told her he knew the depth of what she was asking. Was he happy in Hateno with her? Was he happy to spend his days with her? Was he happy with the news that their relationship had gone past that point where they couldn’t return? Happy to know that…this time, he wasn’t going to be a brother–he was going to be a father?
It was her own fear that had her pulling her hand to herself and standing from the table when his silence bled into something that felt too long. Suffocating. She couldn’t breathe. She was going to cry. She needed to move, to get away–but he was always three steps behind her, wasn’t he? And his hand grabbed her wrist before she could open the door and slip out.
“Zelda,” he said, his voice a whisper. She inhaled, her eyes fixed firmly on the door just before her. Logically, she knew Link wasn’t the type of man to abandon her. He’d faced the Calamity twice, when he could have very well woken from the Shrine and chosen a different path. Goddess forbid a baby be some sort of worser fate–but the thought that he would choose to stay for her when there was the possibility that he wasn’t happy…
“Link,” she begged.
“I wanted to be happy,” he repeated, and for a brief moment, it felt almost like salt being rubbed into a gruesome, open wound, “and– and I wanted a family.”
The words made her freeze. She turned her head slowly, and the eyes of the man she loved were scared. Scared she was going to walk away and not come back? Scared because of the news she had given him? There were tears glistening just in the corners of his eyes, and that was what made her turn around.
“I never thought I would live long enough to have that,” he told her, his voice strained. He was trying not to cry. The realization struck her like an arrow. Zelda pulled her hand free and slipped her arms around him instead, drawing him close to her chest. Once upon a time, it wasn’t in the stars for him to have that. He’d been moments from death, and the feel of his shallow breathing against her arms was always going to haunt her. What might as well have been his dead weight…
“But you have,” she whispered, pressing her lips to the shell of his ear. “You have. It- it’s yours, if you want it.” A laugh, watery and a little pathetic but one nonetheless, bubbled from his lips. She felt him clutch her a little tighter.
“Of course I want it. It- It’s all I’ve ever wanted, before I- I gave up wanting it.” He never thought he would get it. He expected to die by the hands of the Calamity, and he’d faced it anyway. Oh, the sword had chosen well.
“I love you,” Zelda told him, sinking one of her hands into his hair. It was as long as ever, but he’d stopped tying it back so much. “And I’m happy with you.”
“Zel,” and he didn’t say anything else. He only drew back just enough to kiss her instead, cupping her face in a fit of desperation like he was still scared she was going to throw the door open and run.
“You scared me,” she admitted when he broke the kiss, and maybe he knew that. Maybe he was trying to make up for it now with how he peppered kisses over her face, taking care of the tears she didn’t even know were there. “I- I thought maybe you weren’t happy, or-”
“I’m ecstatic,” he replied. She could hear it in his voice, the thickness mixed with that happy that he said he wanted. “I- Are you really…?”
“Purah made certain of it,” Zelda told him, as if she would ever lie about such a thing. Link made a face, something that said he didn’t want to know what she meant by that, and it was so human, so boyish that she couldn’t help but laugh.
“I don’t even know how to be a dad,” he breathed, and when his hand pressed to her stomach, she felt like sobbing all over again. “I…I’m scared. Should I be scared?”
“Oh, Link,” Zelda said, laughing again. “You’ll be a wonderful dad.”
And so long as they kept breaking tradition, she was certain they would keep their happiness, too. A knight who no longer served, a princess who never became queen–and now, she was going to break another tradition: a name for their child. A name that wasn’t going to be Zelda.
She would have to pry him for his sister’s name when they were finished crying.

How does Leon and Hop's dad's death affect the others? Could it help playing out both routes?
If their dad died before Soul, Hop has barely if any memories about him. Which would reflect Naomi's memory issues. But that would contradict that Hop actually has much better recall than her, even to memories he shouldn't have.
On the other hand, it'd be a gutpunch if those memories were out of Hop's reach.
Or if their dad died later, and Hop has clear memories. Maybe the too acute clarity of those is what pains him?
Oh! Have you an idea for the name of the boy's dad?
These questions are another reason why I'm really taking a step back to look at key events and how I want them to play out. But to answer your questions:
If Hop and Leon's dad died before Soul, it would have been from sometime after 2005, when Hop and Nomi were born, but before 2010, when Soul passed away. So Hop would have been 2-4 years old when his dad died. I'm thinking 3, since it's in the middle, so that would mean their father would have died in 2008.....which is the year that Soul got Cursed. Damn. 2008 is just not their year. Now, going onto Hop and his memories, you are right in how it contradicts his abilities as a Chosen- him getting better recall. My main reasoning here is that 1) he was 3, so I don't expect him to remember everything from that time, except vague feelings- both from him and others 2) maybe he wasn't Chosen then? Naomi was Chosen-Cursed by a proxy of Soul( not sure if this was immediately when he was Chosen-Cursed or after he died but you get my point), but Hop hasn't gotten any of that yet.
A little tangent about the wolves for a quick sec: the way they interact with their Chosen is interesting. Zacian, after her accidentally making Soul Chosen-Cursed ( his curse made him much more ill....terminally ill), she kept her distance from Naomi, keeping an eye on her from afar, if she has the energy to. Meanwhile, Zamazenta is much more open. I wouldn't be surprised if a young Hop, either after the death of his father or Soul, had encountered Zamazenta once before. But out of respect and carefor his sister ( who feels terribly guilty), Zamazenta doesn't immediately Choose Hop( Hop being the ancestors of his former Chosen), not interact with him much after. At least that's how I see it for now.
Okay Wolf tangent aside- if Hop and Leon's father died after, then oof. Hop would have remembered that clearly, Chosen or not. He would remember how his mom shut down, how his grandparents cried, how Lee wasn't smiling anymore. He remembers how Naomi wouldn't leave her room, thinking she was some curse to both families ( another big oof). He doesn't want to remember the pain that he left- he felt so alone. Just one bad thing after another. And MAN can you imagine the media coverage of this during Leon's gym challenge? Using both Soul and his father's death to present him as the " hero with a tragic backstory". It's one of the first times that Leon really questioned if he truly wanted to run for champion. To be champion.
On the flip side with their father dying before Soul, Soul dying opened old wounds for everyone. honestly, and I just had this thought, that maybe Soul died after Leon became champion. Which, again, ouch, cause that's just gonna mess up everyone even more. It makes every celebration of Leon's year of being champion bittersweet.
Also, no, I haven't thought of a name for Hop and Lee's dad. I really need to, so I'm open to any suggestions!
I hope this was explained well. I'm thinking a lot about how these events play out, specifically Naomi's and Hop's relation to them. Maybe Hop wasn't Chosen as young as Naomi was, but would that make sense for all we know about past Chosens? I don't know, so I need to think about it more. But I still hope this answer was satisfying!

okay so now that I’ve had sleep I’m able to collect some of my thoughts for the c!primeboys hero and sidekick au. not a lot sorry i still have just woke up.
- c!tommy’s been living on the streets in the bad part of town for as long as he could remember. he makes a living off of petty theft, but he feels guilty about it (most of his targets barely have more than he does) so when he’s old enough he puts on a mask and starts protecting the people in the slums as a vigilante.
- now, superpowers have been a thing for about twenty years, being basically created by experiments in a government lab. most superheroes and villains are at least decently well off enough that their parents were able to pay for their kids to get them (only inducing them in very young kids has worked so far, without severe side effects), though there’s some who were used as unsafe test subjects that aren’t (since those were taken from the sort of people no one would miss).
- therefore, c!tommy’s completely powerless, and most people he deals with are petty criminals. those that aren’t usually don’t have the clean pretty and powerful effects of most supers- their powers tend to be weaker and uncontrollable, their forms in some way blatantly shifted, usually unwell both physically and mentally. he feels a lot of pity for them, but a jobs a job (and most of them don’t really wanna hurt a kid- c!tommy is sixteen, but he’s baby faced and small from years of malnutrition, so he looks a lot younger which he hates.)
- c!dream, however, is one of the biggest superheroes, famous and loved and revered. with the power to create illusions that can fool all five of the senses, he’s one of the most powerful supers, and is well known for benevolence, helping without expectation of pay. this is genuine, but more because he sees defeating the bad guys as an interesting intellectual challenge than anything else.
- c!dream does prefer his secret identity, honestly (he likes dressing up in his cape and mask and being able to do what he likes), but that’s not to say he dislikes his normal life. son of two incredibly wealthy individuals, who could afford for their child to get the best powers possible, he’s known for investing a large amount of money into scientific research. he has a passion for discovering more about superpowers, as he loves his own so much.
- after hearing about some interesting crimes in the bad sort of town, c!dream goes to investigate and bumps into c!tommy. the vigilante is young (young enough to potentially survive through the new, advanced procedures of inducing powers without too much damage. physically, that is). there’s no one looking out for him. he’s determined and brash and has the same sort of devotion to defeating villains as he does (for very different reasons, of course). and he’s in awe of him. yes, he’ll do perfect.
- he helps out the awestruck teen a little, before offering to treat him to something to eat- after all, he looks like he’s barely had anything all day! starving and utterly trusting, c!tommy agrees, and the two of them go somewhere that feels like heaven to a starving teenager like him, even if there’s a weird bitter tinge to all the food, and he just feels so, so tired all of a sudden, and…
- of course, when the kid falls unconscious after stumbling out of the local mcdonalds, c!dream feigns concern, and onlookers believe him when he says he’s going to take him to the hospital.
- where c!tommy wakes up is definitely not a hospital. instead, he’s in a small room with see through plastic walls, hooked up to an IV pumping something that feels like it’s burning away his insides like acid into him, and feeling a million times sicker than when he had pneumonia. dizzily, he vaugely registers he’s being watched, and he opens his mouth to scream but only manages to start gagging up some strange, ugly fluid.
- the process of getting powers is not quick and easy. it’s easier for infants, but it’s still miserable. any older, and there’s a real possibility of serious, permanent injury, if not death. it’s months of mental and physical agony as your body shifts to adapt. severe trauma is all but inevitable. c!tommy is not only going through all of this, but he doesn’t even have a clue what is happening to him or why for a pretty large amount of it. he’s too delirious to be talked to, and spends most of the time curled up in bed babbling to himself. (amused by this habit, and not knowing any proper name to call him, c!dream starts calling him songbird, since he never stops “singing”.)
- the mental effects die down somewhat about halfway through (while the physical effects only worsen more and more), and being a clever kid c!tommy does manage to piece together pretty quickly that he must have been drugged and kidnapped (though he refuses to believe c!dream is at fault.) he’s in too much pain to really do anything, though. he’s too weak to get out of bed and in too tired to even open his eyes.
- the rest isn’t as detailed as this sorry but i am trying to get it into words. the superpower c!tommy ends up with is the ability to use a weaker copy of any other power of anyone within about a ten meter radius of him. while physically he looks fine, he’s got really bad chronic pain from the whole thing along with ptsd. c!dream is very, very possessive over c!tommy as he’s the first subject who both survived and remained useful to him and he doesn’t want to have to go through so many failures again. c!ranboo is one of these failures- he lived but was changed so much physically that there was no way he could keep a secret identity. c!dream also genuinely doesn’t get why c!tommy wouldn’t see this as a wonderful opportunity and instantly see him as a cool big brother mentor figure and is very angry when c!tommy responds to the whole “oh yeah i kidnapped you and put you through agonising pain so you could be a tool to assist me anyway now you can’t leave and you have to follow all my orders” with “well fuck you I thought you were cool but i hate you now.”

Soo… this was a post Fable 3 fic, centering around two OCs and Reaver. But- the characterization… the explanations… it’s sooooo amateur, but it was definitely an interesting read.
First off, one of the main OCs is a homeless girl who shacked up in the shed of Reaver’s home in Millfields.
Reaver gets a message from Theresa about how he’s going to be needed, and brushes it off, but eventually is convinced.
When he meets this girl first, she’s asleep and cold in the shed, he only went out there cus his maid had gone to the shed to fetch something and heard something, running back scared.
And what does he do?? He picks the girl up, bringing her inside, even commenting on how he doesn’t know why he’s doing this. This fic makes it very clear that Reaver was very close to Sparrow, and actually loved her.
It would make sense for him to know that Sparrow was homeless, and to see her in the girl, leading to bringing her inside, but nothing of the sort is ever indicated. It would’ve been a great way to show how much she changed him, that even a few generations after Sparrow, he still is more empathetic.
Anyway, he gets attached quickly, telling the girl stories and stuff. He has a daughter and grandson, both of whom are fully grown adults. His daughter married his old servant, Barry, who is now dead and buried. Her name is Rye, and she has light powers that are said to be able to keep Reaver young, several times throughout the fic.
His grandson starts saying things, which leads to Reaver telling his maid who he really is, or was. She knows the story of Oakvale, and is shocked. She avoids him after that. He gets visited by Theresa who tells him that he’s put her and the girl in danger by telling his maid who he is, because the Shadow Court are aware of his attachment.
He sends them away to Oakfield, for the girl to grow strong in a healthy, stable environment. This girl is a Hero, btw, and through one or two lines near the beginning of the fic it’s set up that she’s the next Hero of Skill.
Timeskip, everyone’s favorite device! It’s been around ten years, and Reaver sacrifices a woman to the Shadow Court yet again. This time, they tell him that it’s insufficient. He readily responds, asking what they need. They tell him that the girl (he knows who they’re talking about) would be a worthy sacrifice.
And- and he just- GOES WITH IT. Immediately sets sail for Oakfield. And gets there, and just-
HE SHOULD BE FEELING SOMETHING. He should be having memories flash back as he sees his maid (that he actually loves) for the first time in years, he should be feeling guilty or sorrowful as he finds the girl and captures her. This is Reaver, yes, but this fic has made it CLEAR that Sparrow affected him enough for his heart to be able to open to other people. It’s made it clear that he genuinely, deeply cared about his maid and the girl. It doesn’t make sense.
Then things happen, and he abandons, gets a visit from Sparrow’s spirit, which motivates him to return and fight alongside the others, and the girl.
Fic ends with him proposing (essentially, anyway, in his roundabout way (foolishly, might I add)) to his old maid, who rejects him, though her wording makes it clear that she returns the feelings, but that what he’s done, he needs to make up for or something like that.
This fic was a rollercoaster. It went from point A to point C, then skipping to point G, and so on. It connected plot lines horribly, and gave no explanation or further looks into things that would make the characters more believable.
He should have no reason, no ambition to return to the Shadow Court since his daughter NOW LIVES WITH HIM, AND SHE CAN KEEP HIM YOUNG. HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THAT. Granted, the fic does address this issue through use of Sparrow’s spirit, who comments on it while (kinda) berating Reaver.
Also, Reaver’s birth name is William. Don’t know how I feel about that. Feels too fancy for a simple boy from a small farming village. Let him be pre-incident Reaver without giving him a… fancy or presumptuous name, please?
To me, when he has a simpler name, it somehow makes the impact and the tragedy greater. It emphasizes how he was just a young man, who was afraid of something that everyone’s afraid of at some point in their life. Who made a deal with dark forces, unknowing of the consequence. Who lost everyone and everything he’d ever known and loved in a single night, all because of his own actions.
Anyway, that’s all I have to say on this fic, hope y’all enjoyed. I’m not trying to harp on it, but this is my critique as both a frequent reader of fiction, especially fanfiction, and as a writer myself.
This was a rollercoaster of a read. Thank you for reading! ^-^

Bucky knelt beside you as your ass throbbed in pain and your head thrummed. He touched your arm gently with his metal hand, his other on your cheek as he cradled your face. You met his blue eyes but he quickly lifted his head and glared across the room.
“Don’t fucking move or I’ll hit you again. Harder.” His snarl was so harsh and deep, it made you shiver. He turned his attention back to you as he helped you roll over and sit up, “Are you okay? Careful…” he backed off the bed slowly as he guided you to the end of the mattress.
You clung to him and glanced over at Steve as he spat blood onto the floor. His eyes darkened and his nostrils flared as he looked back but he made no move towards you, his head lolling just slightly as he sat straight.
You let Bucky usher you to the door as he turned back and searched around the floor. He huffed and took off his jacket instead, draping it over your shoulders.
He pointed you through the door and followed, snatched the throw from the back of the couch and offered it as he urged you on. You found your purse where you dropped it and stopped to grab it, groaning at how your body ached. You continued to the door as he opened it and followed you out.
You were silent as you descended, cloaked in his jacket and the thin blanket. You came around the building and neared your car. He kept away from you but hovered as if you might keel over.
“I can’t drive,” you let your purse dangle weakly from your hand.
“I’ll take you back,” he said softly, “and then you don’t have to see me ever again.”
You nodded and rounded his car. You opened the door and slumped into the seat, your purse on your lap as you hung your head. It was over. You knew it was. You thought there would be a way to hold onto Steve, to find the man he had been, but he assured you that that Steve was gone. Everything you had was lost.
The engine turned and you barely noticed the blur of the city as it passed outside the windows. You fought against the wave of grief that swept over you and leaned your head back.
“You said I’ll never see you again,” you croaked, “but you saved me.”
“So? I did all those other things too,” he gripped the wheel and sniffed, “I’ll keep my distance. I started all this. I never should’ve-- I’m fucked. I try to act like I’m not but I am.”
“Bucky…” you said weakly.
“Don’t. I know it’s the truth and I know everything that happened to you is because of me. Steve’s an asshole. I don’t know what changed in him, but I’m worse,” he sighed, “I’m gonna resign. I’m gonna… look into rehab or therapy, whatever they got for me. I can’t stay near you or Steve. I can’t do any of it.”
You nodded and rubbed your hands together. Your body hurt but your soul hurt worse.
“No, I’m going,” you said, “I’m leaving. I’m not a hero like you or Steve. I don’t matter. And I can’t stay with him. I can’t even stay close because I know he won’t stay away. Right now, he’s getting up off that floor and you can’t tell me he’s not coming after us right now.”
Your voice cracked and you muffled it with a corner of the blanket. You hunched over as suddenly you felt nauseous and you held in a retch. Your body shook but you kept the sickness in and murmured.
“Please, just get me back,” you begged.
“I will,” he vowed, “I’ll make sure you get out and I’ll make sure he doesn’t stop you,” you heard him gulp between his words, “and after, if you ever need me to knock him on his ass again, I’ll be there. No strings, no expectations, we don’t even need to talk.”
You crossed your arms and leaned against the door, watching the pedestrians and other cars. You could only think of everything that needed to be done; grab what you can, email Tony, go back and get your car and drive without stopping.
“Shit,” you sat up as you neared the compound, “I forgot my phone.”
“Good,” Bucky said, “he’s tracking it. Get a new one.”
👥
Bucky closed the yellow taxi door and watched the cab pull out into the swell of New York traffic. She’d packed the remnants of her former life in a single backpack but he could see, she didn’t even need that. He backed away from the curb and tucked his hands into his pockets. His chest was tight and heavy. He was guilty but he didn’t feel sorry for himself. He felt sorry for her.
He was almost thrown off his feet as a hand gripped his arm and swung him around. Steve was white with anger as a vein popped out in his forehead. His lip was split and his nose bruised from Bucky’s fist. The men faced each other in mutual detest. He never expected to look at his oldest friend that way and feel it so succinctly.
“Where is she?” Steve growled.
Bucky shrugged and shouldered past him, “gone. Far from us.”
Steve followed him and stopped him before he could pass through the door. He shoved him back against the façade of the building but Bucky hardly felt it. He just stood, staring at the man he didn’t know any more, and lifted a brow.
“You gonna beat it out of me?” he asked, “then you’ll have to kill me.”
Steve’s eyes searched Bucky’s and he growled under his breath, “all you had to do was follow the fucking rules.”
“I never liked those rules. I only wanted to be close to her. It was selfish. It was abuse.”
“She liked it,” Steve snapped.
“No, you told her she liked it and she loved you so much, she believed you,” Bucky’s voice turned raw, “she loved you and you threw it all away.”
“You ruined it,” Steve accused.
“Fuck you,” Bucky snarled, “you deserve to be alone.”
“I’ll find her,” Steve curled his fingers into a fist and puffed his chest, “I know exactly where she’s going. She won’t get to her car before I do.”
“No, she will,” Bucky pushed away from the wall and grabbed the front of Steve’s shirt and pinned him, “you won’t make it past me.”
Steve narrowed his eyes and his lips thinned. He gripped Bucky’s shirt in kind and the pair rolled against the wall until they stopped in a bitter stalemate. They stared each other down as their soles scuffed on the pavement and grunted almost in unison at their opponent.
“You won’t keep me from her forever,” Steve said calmly.
“She’s not the only one leaving, Steve,” Bucky hissed, “and I won’t feel bad at all when you wake up one day and realise how lonely you are.”
👥
Your new apartment was mostly empty but it was yours, unlike that seventh floor box Steve had made your cage. It was far from him, far from Bucky, far from everyone you ever knew. You knew you couldn’t hide with your parents or your sister or even those distant university friends who you knew would have your back. You had to be alone. It was your fear of that which got you into all that mess.
You didn’t see Bucky again but he did get a message to you. He left a gift for you at a safe house on your way out of the state. New identification, an unopened cell, and a wad of cash. It wasn’t atonement but it was what he could give you. You kept driving and exchanged your car at the stateline. You kept on until you felt as if you were in an entirely different country.
You took a job at the grocery store as a cashier. You remembered when you were a child and your mother had the same position. She went back to school and made you promise you’d never end up in the same boat. If she could see you now…
If you could see her.
You dropped your bag on the side table as you entered and turned the lock on the handle and the latch above, the deadbolt over that, and hooked the chain last. You clutched the pepper spray you kept up your sleeve and searched the single bedroom, the living room, the kitchen, and the bathroom. Your paranoia was your only companion.
You kept the curtains drawn day and night, even those stolid nights when you couldn’t sleep for the thick sweat that coated your body. Those nights came more often and even during the day, you found yourself suffocated in fits of unbearable heat. And at night, you were trapped by the dreams of the past.
You sat and opened up the novel you kept on the coffee table. When you’d been with Steve, you never had much time to read between his need for attention and your work. Your relocation was freeing in more ways than one.
You laid back and wiggled, still in your stiff grocery store uniform and lost yourself in the fantasy adventure of a young warrior. It was a fight you could control; that you could win.
👥
Bucky held the position and breathed out slowly. His muscles vibrated as he strained and slowly lifted his leg, the toes of his other foot firmly planted on the mat. He turned and outstretched his arm and leg to the ceiling and inhaled. He let out another breath as he reached the next position then returned to downward-facing dog.
He pushed himself back to sit on his knees as the noise of the lapping lake reached his ears and sent a cool breeze over the dock. He pulled his legs out from under him and bent his legs as he leaned his sweaty arms over his knees. He looked out at the glistening water and listened to the noise of birds and critters.
Peace. He couldn’t call it that. Exile, more like. He didn’t trust himself to be near people. His therapist visited once a week and he attended daily video sessions with him. One of his tasks was to find hobbies and to face himself. Yoga was both of those. It cleared his hand and ate up his time.
But then he found himself wishing she was there. He knew she wasn’t in some serene lake house, she didn’t have all the support offered by SHIELD and Stark, she didn’t have anyone. He did what he could, what she would accept from him, but there was nothing he could give her in that life that would ever be enough.
Then he felt awful about those thoughts. She was never his to have.
He stood and walked up the dock and the dirt path to the house. He climbed up onto the large deck and through sliding doors. He poured himself a glass of water and added a slice of lemon. He took it with him as he went to the bedroom where he slept alone, where the shadows of trees loomed over him in the night and swayed like the wraiths of his remorse.
The white cat hopped up on the bed and twirled in expectation, in demand of his attention. He scratched Alpine’s head as he neared and got a nip when he pet him a little too long. The moody feline retreated to the corner of the bed and watched him with his pale blue eyes. The creature was his only friend now.
He took a deep gulp and sat on the edge of the bed and set the glass down. He slid open the drawer of the hand-crafted night table and dipped his fingers inside. He pulled out the pink fabric and held them in his metal hand and stroked the dainty elastic. He should get rid of them, like he had the rest, but he just couldn’t. He knew it was wrong, but he couldn’t. He would never forget about her.
👥
You pushed the boxes and cans over the scanner and onto the next belt so that they were carried down to the end of the counter. You smiled as you asked the usual questions and waited for the customer to punch in their pin. You waved on the next in line as the former bagged their goods and you kept the distant tune playing from the low speakers in your head.
The routine was your only comfort. It was easy. Even when you got those fussy customers, the ones with the expired coupons or the wrong flyers, it was simple work. You rang them through and saw them off without concern. Their tantrums were not the worst you’d faced in your time.
When it was your time to clock out, you stopped by the café in the same plaza as the grocery store and ordered a tall iced tea. You came out with your purse on the arm that hid the pepper spray and made your way to the end of the pavement and around the corner to the street.
At the first corner, you turned off onto a small side street then cut through to the park and passed the memorials and statues set along the winding path. It was a longer walk than your normal route but you took it once a week. You liked to watch the ducks but you had to avoid the geese.
You sipped from your straw and smiled at a dog as he passed with his owner and looked over at the kids laughing on the monkey bars. Your uniform tented in the heat of the summer sun but you pressed on, refreshed by the fruity tea.
When you emerged from the park, the grit of the small town returned. The chipped bricks of your building rose above you and you unlocked the front door after a struggle with the ancient keyhole. The door closed heavily behind you and you headed up the dingy stairs.
As you got to your apartment, you went through the usual to-do; lock, search, and settle in. Two months, maybe three, it felt so long ago and yet it felt like only yesterday. You couldn’t help but feel watched, followed, and you knew that sensation would follow you for the rest of your life. But if it was only ever a thought, you could be okay.
👥
Steve didn’t know what to do with himself at first. First, his girl left and then his best friend.
In the early days of his solace, he told himself it wasn’t true. They’d be back. They couldn’t live without him. They would apologize because they betrayed him. They would realise that he wasn’t the villain. He wasn’t wrong. He busied himself with his missions and waited.
But after two weeks, he saw no signs, heard no tell, nothing. He tried to follow her trail but there wasn’t anything past the state line. He asked where Bucky went but Stark wouldn’t tell and SHIELD kept that information classified from all, even him.
Then, he felt bad and he lingered on those questions that tugged at his mind. Was he wrong? Was he the bad one? Had he really hurt them? Did he deserve it all? He felt awful and fell through on a mission and no one asked any questions. No one knew the reasons for the sudden departures and the downcast captain.
Then he was mad. He was breaking things. He was growling and shouting in frustration. He ripped a door off its hinges and punched a hole through a wall. He paid for the repairs but was told in no short terms to leave the compound. He was all too happy too. He still had that apartment and it wasn’t too bad being in his own space.
But it made him think of her. And as he thought of her, he missed another mission, this time without telling anyone. Phone calls, emails, knocks on his door, they all muddled together in the haze of his thoughts.
He remembered those days, decades ago when Bucky had been his only friend. When he was a boy, when he still felt young, when he still felt like him. He remembered everything that came after and how he fought to save the only man he ever admired. Then everything he’d made him do. He didn’t make him do that, he gave him exactly what he wanted.
Then she made his chest squeeze. He thought of the first time they met. He didn’t think much of her but she somehow won him over with her kindness. He recalled the realisation of how much he liked her, he wasn’t even reluctant enough not to think it was love in that instant. When she saw the loose stitch in his glove and pulled it away like it was nothing. She remarked on the little fix as ‘perfect’ and he couldn’t help his doofy grin and the line he spouted after, ‘not as perfect as you.’
And as he thought of her, he conjured all those hopes he had for them. The life he made for them in his mind. He was going to give it all to her but he just wanted a little fun first. That wasn’t so bad. He could still give it to her and that was all she wanted after all. She wanted the Steve she knew. She wanted the nuclear family and white picket fence. He wanted that too.
When the papers came to announce his dismissal from SHIELD, it felt like freedom. He didn’t care about saving the world anymore. He got out of bed these days and worked out, went for a run, and came back as he went about his own work. As he searched through the servers they tried to block him from and overrode the new restrictions. They always thought he was some clueless idiot from the past.
He could still have that life. All he had to do was find her. He smiled at the screen as he went over everything he had so far. The whiff of her blew out at the stateline but now he could go wherever he wanted without a leash. He could find her if he only tried a little harder.
👥
Steve gave notice on the lease and traded in his car for something with better mileage and more space. He sold everything that was his life before and headed out on the road with a new lease on life. He wasn’t the Captain anymore, he wasn’t the saviour, he only wanted to be one thing; a husband, a father, hers.
When he reached the state line, he stopped for a while at a motel and asked around. He had her picture and everyone was all too eager to talk to Steve Rogers. He found her car at a used dealership and got the plates and make of the one he’d switched her for. That was a start.
Then he moved on, stopping along the way for a day here and there to relax. He had time. He had confidence again. He did this everyday, this was her first time, she couldn’t outrun him forever. He had the skills and the savings to get him a lot further than she ever could.
He drove through several more states before he hit another block. A second car traded but the dealer was not as talkative. That meant he had to break in after dark and that was time he didn’t feel like spending on some stubborn bitch. But he got it done and moved on.
Then there was a week of doubt and desperation. What if he was wrong? What if this was all a part of her plan? Maybe she was smart enough to lead him in the wrong direction. Maybe Bucky was helping her. Maybe they were together. That thought made him livid.
He took off in the opposite direction but ended up with nothing but desert heat and rural nothingness. He turned around and assured himself that neither of them were smarter than him. He returned to the same point and slowly pieced together the clues until he was sure enough to keep on.
He was getting close. He could sense it. He pulled out his phone and opened those videos he’d taken from Bucky and the pictures of that day they’d made a mess of her. His hand was nothing compared to her and even if he came, he found himself dissatisfied. He ended up cursing only to start again a minute later.
That night he started in the bed then ended up in the shower and before he could get out of the bathroom, he was gripping his dick as he leaned on the counter and muttered her name over and over. He was impatient. He needed her soon or he was going to go mad.
He hardly slept as he tossed and turned in the hotel room. He checked out early but pulled over on the country road to get off again. It made him angry. She should be the one fucking him, he shouldn’t be using his own hand. He shouldn’t be alone. She should be there with his dick down her throat as he drove them to their suburban paradise.
He passed another city sign and spent a day running circles without a catch. He pressed on through the night, not wanting another motel bed, and pulled in at a station just outside a small town. He gassed up and chewed on jerky as he set out once more.
On a whim, he stopped in the small town and stopped for a meal at the local fish and chip place. It was unusual for the area but the fries were crispy and not overly salted and the fish breaded perfectly. He kept his hat on and his face down. He didn’t need to be recognized although his poor disguise seemed to draw attention.
“Louise,” the voice chimed with the bell, “gosh, I’m so sorry, I almost forgot.”
Steve looked up as his heart fluttered. He saw the green uniform shirt and black pants and at first, he was ready to deflate. But the way she walked, and her face, the way she glowed and smiled at the woman behind the till, he knew it was her. He’d found her.
“I am so stupid! I keep forgetting everything,” she counted out the money from her wallet, “I’ve been craving this all week and I’m halfway home and I’m like oh my god,” she chattered on, that way she did when they’d first met.
“Not at all, darlin’,” Louise handed her the parcel of fish and chips, “you go on enjoy.”
“Thank you!” she sang sweetly and scurried back through the door.
Steve stood slowly and left his tab on the table with a thoughtlessly generous tip. He adjusted his cap and headed out the door slowly. She wasn’t moving as fast as she made her way down the street. She swung the tied parcel from her hand and he noticed how her hips swayed. There was something different about her, something he liked.
He kept the same pace, sure to hang back so that she didn’t notice him. She led him through a park and she stopped to smile at a party of ducks in the small pond. She carried on over the small bridge and he sat on a bench when she looked back. She didn’t seem to notice as an older couple passed him and he hid behind them.
He got back up just as she was at the exit. He trailed her back to the streets and to an old brick building with an iron sign above the front door. She let herself in and he stood outside with a smirk.
“Perfect,” he said to himself as he backed away and strode down the sidewalk, “always so perfect for me.”

Tumblr media Tumblr media
When he was a child, before he even cared about quirks or rankings or strength, Bakugou Katsuki loved holding hands.
No one knew exactly why, but that was just something he liked. He would hold Izuku’s hand while they talked and ran around the neighborhood, he would take his teacher's hand in his ever so softly whenever he walked over to their desk to ask a question. Katsuki would latch onto his dad with the most loving, tiny grip he could muster, and he would even interlace pinkies with his mom when she was having a good day and didn’t deem his manners “too soft”,  “too weak”, “too foolish”. Those were nice days in the Bakugou household.
Bakugou Katsuki was five years old when he had his heart broken for the first time. It was a few weeks after his quirk manifested and he was just so excited to play hero (with a quirk, this time!) alongside his friends after school that he didn’t even hesitate before grabbing Izuku’s hand exactly like he always did, jumping up and down with energy and happiness, rambling about how he was gonna be the number one hero one day — until Izuku screamed, pulling his hand away with a painful expression. Katsuki furrowed his eyebrows, confused at his best friend’s antics, and then he saw it: the raw, burned flesh of his palm.
Katsuki had hurt his best friend.
It’s very easy to fix objects, his dad used to tell him while stitching up one of his ripped shirts, you just get a bit of glue or yarn and you put it back together, a smile graced his lips at the feeling of his son taking his hand immediately after he let go of the sewing needle, but people are a lot harder to patch up, Katsu. People can’t be fixed, sometimes.
He wasn’t exactly sure of when he started shoving his hands inside his pockets, when he started opening doors with his feet and touching people with his shoulders to get their attention. It took him a while to understand that that first occasion wasn’t an accident, and that controlling his quirk when he got too excited or just overly happy was too hard and the security he got from all those tender touches he so eagerly searched from everyone in his life wasn’t worth the risk. The best thing Katsuki could do, for himself and for others, was to keep his hands to himself, even if they felt cold and empty and his big red eyes filled with tears at the loss of such a comforting habit.
He told himself it didn’t matter. You’d have to overgrow that over time, anyway, his mom reminded him at some point. Such childish, silly bullshit. Only softies hold hands, Katsuki, and we both know you’re not a softie.
It was easy to pretend he didn’t miss it. After a few years, the lack of touch was simply another part of his life he consciously chose to ignore, another longing he conditioned himself not to think about. It wasn’t like many people noted his abrupt change in behavior either — there were other things about him that were much more worthy of attention than that, like his killer quirk and quick brain, like his determination and ambition. Who cared about the fact that little Bakugou Katsuki didn’t want to hold hands anymore? Who cared about the fact that little touchy and clingy Bakugou Katsuki now barely touched others?
Such childish, silly bullshit. Only softies hold hands, Katsuki, and we both know you’re not a softie.
He met her during his second year at UA. Y/N was mostly quiet, but still friendly and hardworking, fighting hard for her place as the number one student in Class 2-B. A project involving the two classes put them as partners, and project meetings soon became sparring sessions that turned into study group that led to study dates and then real dates and, by the beginning of his senior year, Katsuki had gotten himself a girlfriend.
He wasn’t certain if she noticed the way he purposely kept his hands out of reach when they walked side by side, or if she ever saw how he always made sure his palms were pointing away from her skin whenever they hugged or cuddled. He didn’t think anyone would ever pay enough attention to him to the point of perceiving his hesitancy. It didn’t matter that Bakugou had gained complete control of his quirk, it didn’t matter that he still felt his skin and his hands tingling with the urge, the craving for touch — the satisfaction wasn’t worth the risk, not the stupid satisfaction he didn’t even need. Such childish, silly bullshit. Bakugou Katsuki was doing very well with letting go of old customs, no doubt.
But Y/N noticed. God, of course she did — she noticed all the longing gazes, all the small flinches. She noticed how he never let his hands touch hers and at first it made her worried. Didn’t he want to touch her? Had she done something wrong? Her boyfriend wasn’t the best at communicating his feelings, even though he had been putting in the effort to talk to her whenever he felt a bit under the weather or bothered.
However, this seemed like a bigger problem, like something he would never speak of unless she brought it up. It seemed deeper.
“Katsu?”
He lifted his scarlet eyes from the book in his hands and turned them to her sitting figure. They were both on his bed, despite curfew starting in less than an hour and the knowledge they shouldn’t be alone in his dorm. To be honest, Aizawa was quite used to watching the Class B girl sneak out of his student’s room every other night, wearing one of his many hoodies and those shorts that she always left in his closet. As long as they weren’t causing him any trouble, Eraserhead didn’t cause them any trouble, either.
“Yeah?” his voice was clearly tired after a day full of training and studying, a hint of sleepiness dripping from his tone.
“How come you never let me hold your hand?”
Katsuki froze on the spot, feeling his heart pick up its pace until it was beating so loud he could hear it by his ear, throbbing. He gulped harshly, sweat immediately gathering up on his hands from his own anxiety. She had noticed?
“What do you mean?” he tried to laugh calmly, but his chuckle sounded forced and nervous. He put the book away.
“You never let me hold your hand,” Y/N’s cheeks were tinted red with shyness. She had been pondering on how to talk to him about this for days now, yet seeing him so flustered made her surprisingly tense. “You avoid touching me with your hands in general, actually,” her chuckle sounded as forced and nervous as his, “is… Is there something wrong? Would you feel better if I stopped touching you so much? Does it make you uncomfortable? Because I really don’t want to make you uncomfortable, Katsu. You can talk to me about things like that, you know it.”
He couldn’t get himself to answer, unable to move or truly process her words. He really thought he had been slick, huh? He really thought she’d never notice, he really thought she’d never care. How would she feel if he told her he was afraid to hurt her, that he was afraid he would lose control of his quirk and burn her somehow, like he had done with Izuku all those years ago? Would she think he was childish and silly, too? Such childish, silly bullshit, Bakugou Katsuki scared of holding hands with his girlfriend, scared of touching her and holding her like she deserved to because what if it went wrong? What if he fucked it up? The best thing Katsuki could do, for himself and for others, was to keep his hands to himself, even if they felt cold and empty and his big red eyes filled with tears at the loss of such a comforting habit.
People are a lot harder to patch up, his father told him. He didn’t want to be guilty of screwing this up, didn’t want to destroy the relationship he cherished so, so much. Would she think he was weak for being this reluctant? Would she laugh at his stupid antics and tell him to grow up and stop being such a softie? Would she get mad? Should he even tell her?
“Katsu?” her soft voice relaxed his muscles like it habitually did, and he sighed deeply before meeting her worried eyes. “Talk to me?”
Y/N had always had this amazing talent of making him feel at ease. Ever since they met, so many months ago, she had this blinding quality that urged him to be quieter, calmer, less defensive. She didn’t even have to try tearing down his walls — they simply melted away when she smiled at him for the first time. He had never really talked about this issue with anyone else before, and he didn’t know how to even start, but Y/N made him want to try. Still, the words felt heavy on his tongue.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he muttered so quietly that she leaned in to hear him, furrowing her eyebrows in disagreement.
“Come on, Katsu. Please?”
He inhaled deeply. She stared patiently, waiting for him to organize his own thoughts enough to explain the thousands of things running through his mind. When his eyes met hers again, he felt warm all over. Katsuki loved the way she looked at him — there was no fear, no ulterior interest, no nonsensical admiration. She looked at him and she saw… Katsuki. Just that. And, strangely, that seemed enough.
The boy averted his eyes from hers. “I don’t want to hurt you with my quirk.”
Oh. Oh? That, well, that was definitely unexpected. The crease in Y/N’s eyebrows deepened.
“Why would you ever hurt me, Katsuki?”
The future hero lifted his head to look at her instantly, confusion swimming in his red gaze as he answered, “I mean by accident, Y/N. I—,” he almost stopped himself right there, yet her expression caused him to continue, “I really liked holding hands when I was younger, you know? With my friends, teachers, family, and all that,” his ears were bright pink with embarrassment that subsided when she smiled softly at the new information, “it made me feel safe or whatever. Then I—then I got my quirk and, sometimes, when I held hands with people it just—,” he exhaled heavily before letting out a sad, defeated laugh, “I have burned a nasty amount of people. I don’t want to do that with you, too. I’d never want to hurt you.”
Katsuki was hardly a vulnerable person. He tried to be, yes, because he wanted this to work and for it to work he had to meet her halfway somehow during certain moments, but it was so, so difficult. It was so difficult for him to open up and talk about one of his biggest insecurities of all time, about one of the things he most craved for. He didn’t want to scare her away.
“Katsuki.” Her tone was serious and she stared at him with such intensity that he lost the ability to breathe for a second. “I understand where you’re coming from, but that’s bullshit.”
Bakugou blinked. “What?”
“You’d never hurt me, okay? I know you wouldn’t. I trust you, Katsu, so much. I’m sorry I didn’t ask you about this before,” she bit her lip thoughtfully while he could only stand there, dumbfounded with her reaction.
Out of all his imagined worst-case scenarios, this was a surprise.
“Katsu,” the girl called to him again, smiling lovingly in that way that made his world spin in its axis when they first met, “do you trust me too?”
“Of course I do,” there was no hesitation this time. Of course he did.
“Can I touch your hands?”
Once again, he froze on the spot. She looked at him expectantly.
People are a lot harder to patch up. She was trying, though. She was really trying to fix the ripped pieces of himself he tried to bury under anger and seclusion, pretending there was nothing wrong and that this was just how things were supposed to be.
Bakugou looked down at his own hands, studying them carefully. With a last shaky exhale, he nodded.
She took his hands in hers, letting her fingers interlace with his cautiously so as to not startle him. Her thumb caressed his palm ever so softly and he fought the instinctive flinch that threatened to push her away. After years without it, this type of touch felt too intimate, too close, too new.
He liked it.
He smiled.
“See? Nothing to worry about.” Y/N smiled back, grinning when he took it upon himself to squeeze her hand in appreciation. “You’re fine, Katsuki. I like holding your hand.”
His smile grew wider and he leaned in to kiss her, living for the feeling of her fingers squeezing his while their lips moved slowly. They had kissed a million times before, yet this felt different. If given the chance, Katsuki probably wouldn’t mind being stuck in that moment forever, with her lips on his and his hands on hers — Y/N had melted away all his walls and defenses from the start, and he was incredibly glad. He was incredibly glad for her.
His heart was beating fast inside his chest, especially when she pulled one of his hands up slightly to let it cup her face. A shiver went down his spine as he felt the curve of her jaw under his fingertips, the softness of her skin touching his. When there was not any air left in their lungs, they parted from each other. She turned her face to kiss his palm affectionately and his entire face seemed to burst with love and gratitude.
“I like holding your hand, too.”
She giggled, and, for the first time, Bakugou felt like it’d be alright if he decided not to keep his hands to himself. Such childish, silly bullshit, waiting around when he could’ve been holding hands this whole time.

Cloud 29
a/n: inspired by my new two favorite videos: this and this one
Lingering just outside the Chelsea locker room, I wait until I see the last person leave. Well, second to last. Christian passes me by with a toothy grin, telling me to “take good care” of my boyfriend tonight because he earned it. Laughing nervously, I just give him a polite wave, acting like he didn’t just give me that advice, and sneak inside the locker room. There’s only one person who hasn’t burst through the doors and come out to join the festivities. The superstar––the hero––of today’s match. Kai Havertz.
I know Kai; he’s got to be swirling with composed excitement, taking his time to revel in this momentous occasion without the chaos of overexcited screams and cheers. I can just imagine his humble smile, those crinkles rippling across his cheeks, that endearing overbite he’s always been so insecure about. The mere thought of him puts a smile on my face.
I only need to take a few steps when I see him. Considering he’s the only person left in the locker room, he wasn’t that hard to find. I pause in my tracks, absorbing the sight of him: sweaty, shirtless, head down with his back against the metal locker. I make no noise, but he must sense a presence because his head snaps up. Our eyes meet, and his face lights up as he bounds over to me, tackling me in a hug. He towers over me, but that doesn’t stop him from practically leaping into my arms. Yeah, as if I have the upper body strength to carry him. Sometimes I think he forgets I’m not as physically fit as his teammates.
I open my mouth, about to congratulate him, but the dullness in his blue eyes stops me. Something’s off. He’s happy to see me, that’s clear, but, otherwise, he’s not as ecstatic as I thought he would be. Why isn’t he? Not only did his team win the Champions League, but he scored the winning goal. His first goal of the Champions League, no less––he went out with a bang. He should be over the moon.
“You look festive,” Kai comments, playfully tugging on one of my pigtails. I wanted to try something new, so I had tied my long hair into pigtails with two royal blue ribbons. Aside from that, I’m just in my typical outfit I wear whenever he plays a game: one of his old jerseys that he gave me when we first started dating and black leggings. I had considered spicing things up by painting Kai’s initials on my cheeks with blue face paint, but when I brought the idea up to him over dinner last week, he just said he knew a better method to brand me as his. I left it at that without inquiring further, even though I was curious by what, exactly, he had in mind.
“You look… hot,” I gulp, my eyes traveling down his long, toned torso. No matter how many times I’ve seen him shirtless after a practice or a game, or in only a towel after a shower, I’ll never get tired of seeing him half-naked. Or fully naked, at that.
“You look hot, too,” he murmurs into my hair, still embracing me tightly. “I just didn’t want to say that because I was trying to be gentlemanly.” Cupping my face with his large hands, he proceeds to kiss me, feverish and rough. He nips at my bottom lip and doesn’t even wait for me to open my mouth before invading it, battling my tongue with his. His ferocity gets my blood pumping and the pit of my stomach tingling, but it’s all wrong. I’m necessarily complaining, but this isn’t how he usually greets me. He typically welcomes me with a soft, delicate kiss before anything else. Is this because I haven’t congratulated him on his win yet?
“I’m so proud of you, Kai. You and the guys really deserve this,” I say sincerely, but he pretends like he doesn’t hear me, going in for another attack on my mouth. To that, I shrink a little and he catches on, sighing as he takes a step back, his thick eyebrows furrowed together. I notice that the ribbons in my hair are loose, so I quickly readjust them as I try to read Kai’s expression. He still looks… dissatisfied. Maybe some ego boosting would do the trick?
“Everyone’s raving about how you’re a tactical genius. How your skill and precision are unparalleled. How you’re on top and you haven’t even reached your peak yet,” I ramble, trying to recall every headline I’ve ever read in the news this past week. Oh, and also, you’ve got the cutest bum out of any football player in the history of football.
“Not everyone,” he growls in a dark voice, messing up his curly brown locks by snatching them with his hand. His face twists with irritation. “Right after the game, a reporter came up to me and asked me if I thought I finally paid back my hefty price tag.”
“And how did you respond?” I ask, curious. Usually he doesn’t get so riled up over post-game interviews, but perhaps his transfer fee is a touchy subject for him and he just never told me. In an attempt to calm him down a bit, I take his hand into mine and lead him to a section of the bench lined along the lockers. We sit so that we’re facing each other, and I weave my legs around his torso, nearly straddling him. But not quite.
“I think I said… ‘I don’t give a fuck of that. We just won the fucking Champions League’,” he says slowly, his nose scrunched up in concentration as he recalls his response.
I stifle a laugh. His cussing is not a regular occurrence, it’s not entirely uncommon either, but whenever he does curse, it catches me off guard. Maybe it has something to do with that pretty face of his, as if foul language shouldn’t be coming from it. “You’re right; you did just win the Champions League, so you shouldn’t be hard on yourself,” I say, lightly poking him in the bicep. He doesn’t seem to appreciate my stab at lighthearted reassurance, so I go for a different approach. Tough love. “Okay, fine. Chelsea may have paid a lot of money for you, but that’s because you’re worth it, Kai. You don’t have to prove your abilities to anyone––even though you already proved them tonight plus your whole career thus far. People are always going to have something negative to say, but you put in the work and it shows in every game. Don’t let anyone get to you, especially not a reporter; they’re just trying to get some dirt.” I’m not used to giving pep talks, so I’m not sure if I did it right.
I must’ve done something right because his frown is replaced with a slight smile. “Thank you, baby,” he says, pecking me on the cheek. One Kai’s best qualities is that not much gets to him; and if it does, it doesn’t take him long to get over it. Annoying interview question long forgotten, he traces patterns on my thigh and tells me, “The boys are going to a nightclub tonight to celebrate our win. Come with me.” To aid in his plea, he grabs both of my hands, squeezing them, his pale blue eyes gleaming with hope.
“A nightclub?” I repeat, making a sour face. “You know better than anyone that I don’t belong at a nightclub.” I want to suggest just a cozy night in, watching his favorite film of the Harry Potter series, Goblet of Fire, and cuddling, but I don’t want to take this celebratory night with his friends away from him.
“You belong with me, and it just so happens that tonight I’m being dragged to a nightclub,” he says. I don’t say anything, and his face falls, presumably because he recognizes his bid to get me to go is a lost cause.
“You go,” I encourage, trying to sound upbeat as I pat his thigh. “Have your fun.”
“Really?” he asks. “Are you sure?” He gives me a dubious look, one eyebrow severely cocked.
I squint at him quizzically. “Yes. Why wouldn’t I be?”
He looks me dead in the eyes. “Babe. Let’s not forget what happened the last time I went out for drinks with the team for Timo’s birthday. I came back home with a ripped shirt because a bunch of girls pounced on us, and you wouldn’t talk to me for a whole week. You didn’t believe me.”
“That’s because it’s an unbelievable story,” I mumble.
“You accused me of hooking up with another girl,” he reminds me, his mesmerizing eyes narrowing at me, causing my cheeks to heat up and my skin to crawl with guilt. Now that he’s mentioned it, I do remember that incident. Vividly. It happened around the beginning of our relationship, when I still didn’t know how serious Kai was about me, about us. Regardless, I should’ve known that Kai would never be unfaithful to me. That’s simply not who he is. He has never once given me an inkling of a doubt of his loyalty. I blame my foolish allegation on my insecurity over our blossoming relationship, but I’m long past that…
“You’re too friendly, Kai,” I sigh, ruffling his hair to make it seem more like a concern and less like an accusation. “It makes girls think they can have a chance with you.”
“Girls?” Kai scoffs, shaking his head in pure denial. How can someone so intelligent be such a dumb boy sometimes? “What girls? That happened one time, and it wasn’t only me who got jumped. The whole team did.” Like that makes the situation any better, Kai.
“I’m not dating the whole team! I’m dating you, and you’re only going to get bigger and I… I just want you all to myself,” I admit. My head falls, weighted by a vicious mix of embarrassment and shame.
“Well, I know something that’s big that you can have all to yourself,” he says coyly, with a self-righteous smirk.
“I’m serious, Kai,” I say, frowning at him in return. “You’re young, talented, attractive. Girls are going to be lining up for you, and soon I’ll just be chopped liver.”
“Chopped liver?” he hoots, obviously unfamiliar with the expression.
My frown deepens as I huff, “You’re going to forget all about me.”
“I think if anyone’s guilty of forgetting anything, it’s you. You’re already forgetting that I’m in love with you,” he coos, sliding closer to me, dusting my neck and collarbones with soft-lipped kisses.
“Get away from me. You’re all sweaty,” I complain––mostly so as to not give into his seduction techniques too easily––but it’s half-hearted.
“You’re about to be, too,” he growls, lifting me and dropping me on his lap. I can feel him harden underneath me, and I respond by rocking my body against his, inciting staggered, tense moans from the both of us at the same time. The sounds that come out of his mouth are music to my ears. With a hunger to hear more, I reach in between us, stroking his length through his thin shorts, loving how fully aroused he gets at my slight touch. His breathing quickens, but when I don’t hear anything from him, I look at him, witnessing his bottom lip in between his teeth, suppressing those sweet moans I so desperately want to hear him make.
Suddenly, he’s tugging at my leggings; he’s so aggressive that I’m afraid he’s going to rip them. After he shimmies them off, I kick them to the side, and Kai’s eyes ravage the bottom half of my body. I’m thankful I had the good foresight to wear lace panties instead of my go-to granny panties, but at this point they’re drenched. They have been ever since I walked in and saw Kai; just one look at him does unspeakable things to me. His ability to reduce me to a mere puddle with just his eyes is unnerving.
He removes my shirt and purses his lips when he sees that I’m not wearing a bra. My chest is ample-sized, but I can comfortably go without a bra––often doing just that––and it drives him mad. He says I shouldn’t go prancing around braless because I’ll be practically naked when ogling guys undress me with their eyes. I say that doesn’t make sense.
He yanks his shorts and boxers down in one swoop, and the heat between my legs intensifies. If his massive hands and long fingers were any indication of what he has to offer, the blanks fill themselves out––he’s glorious. I can’t help but gawk and admire him; Kai is perfect in every singular way. If I had no self-control, I’d lick every inch of his pale skin. I lower myself onto him and gasp with pleasure when just the tip enters me. Slowly, I bounce up and down on him, each time driving him deeper inside me until he fills me completely. My head rolls back as I continue the rhythmic movement, and I moan when he licks a stripe in the valley between my breasts. My fingers tangle themselves in his curly locks as he takes one of my nipples into his mouth, sucking on it while tinkering with the other between his fingertips.
“Oh, Kai,” I whine, feeling the intolerable pressure building up in my stomach.
“That’s it, baby,” Kai purrs against my chest as I tighten around him. “Say my name. Just like that.”
“K-Kai––” I cry, quivering against his body; my vision is blurry and I’ve lost function in my legs. Kai’s taken over, his fingers digging into my hips, thrusting into me, hitting my most sensitive spot time after time. I’m on the verge of seeing stars when it all stops. Before my brain can process what’s happening, I’m balancing on all fours on the bench as Kai positions himself behind me, his erection rubbing against me. With one thrust, he buries himself inside me, reaching around to rub my clit in a slow circular motion. I was not prepared for that. The combination of sensations is enough to drive me over the edge, but what drives me even crazier is the heat as he presses his firm chest up against my back.
“Who do you belong to?” he demands in my ear, humming. I tune him out, focusing on getting my fix and nothing more. I can barely get his name out, what makes him think I can have a coherent conversation? “I don’t like being ignored,” he warns sharply.
My arms and legs are shaky, and the only thing keeping me from crumbling to the floor are his hands, holding me steady as he rolls his hips. “You,” I finally breathe.
“Dunno who that is,” he drawls, and I could swear he’s purposely applying more pressure to his accent just to mock me.
“You. Kai,” I hiss and close my eyes to try to block him out, but that only heightens my senses to everything he’s doing to me.
“Kai who? There are many Kais,” he says matter-of-factly. His fingers slow down around my sensitive area, and I’m afraid he’s going to withhold euphoria from me.
“Kai––fucking––Havertz,” I half moan, half gasp as his fingers pick up their pace and he slams into me, the final push that sends me soaring into bliss. I never cuss unless I have a really good reason for it and lashing my frustration out on the infuriating tease that is Kai Havertz is a good enough reason for me. However, he makes up for his devilish nature by understanding every nook and cranny of my body. On cloud nine, I ride out the high to the fullest extent before my body goes fully limp. I suck in a breath when he pulls out, only to feel the warm liquid on my back coming in spurts.
“Fuck,” he moans, and I just wish I could watch him as he comes undone. I think it’s hot when he releases his load on me––I like it best when he does it on my chest. So I can marvel at him with his sweat-matted hair, throbbing Adam’s apple, and fluttering eyelids. He wipes my back with his/my jersey and pulls me into his lap.
“The way you moan my name, I’ll never be able to forget you,” he sighs, nibbling on my neck.
“How romantic,” I tease. But really, I’d be content calling out only his name for the rest of my life. Kai fucking Havertz.
“C’mon, baby, let’s get you cleaned up,” he says, rising to his feet cheerfully. His fingers lace in mine as he starts for the shower stalls. My heart thumps wildly in my chest as my feet pad excitedly across the tile floor alongside him. Another great quality about Kai: his stamina is unmatched, on and off the football field.

@technicallya1manband so, I just remembered that while I was camping I wrote another thing for the Gerudo Twilight AU. Specifically, I have a lot of fun with ‘The Unreliable Narrator That Is History’ (putting this like that, because I basically use it as a trope at this point), and I got bored one afternoon while hiding from the sun because it is HOT out, especially where I was. And then I thought I should probably have Twilight appear, so it kinda ended up ‘Expectation vs Reality’ by the end. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this, I’m off to bed now
-------------
“You look upset,”
Zelda startled, twisting to see Urbosa standing in the doorway behind her. The Champions had only just been dubbed as such, and Zelda had wanted to get away from the celebrations.
“I’m not,” she lied, turning back to face the sky.
Urbosa sighed, and after a moment she settled down next to Zelda.
“Little bird, you do not have to lie to me,”
“I know,” she sighed, not bothering to defend herself. “I just, I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do. My power won’t awaken, no matter what I do, and I just, I can’t live up to the expectations everyone has set for me. My mother unlocked her power so easily, and my grandmother did too. Why is it just me that can’t do this?”
“Zelda,” Urbosa wound an arm around her shoulders and pulled the younger girl to her side. “You need to stop comparing yourself to them. You aren’t them, and your power will awaken for you when you are ready,”
“But I’ve been ready!” Zelda threw out her hands. “And it’s not that easy to just, not compare! I know you wouldn’t understand that, but I just,” she put her head in her hands. “I don’t know what to do,”
“Wouldn’t understand, eh?”
Zelda peeked up through her fingers as Urbosa leaned back on her hands.
“Would you let me tell you a story, little bird?”
“A, story?”
“It has a moral,” Urbosa promised. “And I think you’ll like it,”
“Okay,” Zelda folded her hands in her lap. “Tell me a story,”
“This is an old story, very, very old. Almost, but not quite, as old as the gerudo ourselves. Back when Ganon took the form of a gerudo voe,”
“Seriously?” Zelda twisted to face Urbosa, eyes wide. “That is old,”
“Indeed,” Urbosa smiled. “The man that would become the monster Ganon had been king for only a few years when the Hero of that era defeated him. I won’t go into the details, as they get confusing, and this story is not about them. After he was defeated, Ganon was sentenced to death. He was not successfully killed, but that is also a tale for another time. What I wish to speak of is the aftermath,”
“Why start with Ganon when you’re talking about something after him?” Zelda huffed.
“Because, little bird, Ganon’s defeat left the gerudo without a king. I know it may not seem this way now, with how long it’s been since the gerudo had a king last, but this was the first time we were without so much as a prince. Not to mention the hatred we faced for our King’s actions,” Urbosa frowned, looking off into the distance. “The hylian crown was not kind to my people in the aftermath of Ganon’s defeat. We were chased even further out into the desert, and we struggled there for a long, long time. For almost a hundred years, we were without a king, and so we elected the first chief, to rule until a new king was born,”
“I’m so sorry,” Zelda frowned, suddenly feeling guilty.
“Do not apologize, little bird. It happened so long ago, and things have changed so much,” Urbosa pulled her in again. “Besides, the hylians also gave us our next king,”
“What?”
Both women turned to see the other Champions hovering in the doorway, though thankfully it seemed Zelda’s new knight was not among them.
“Sorry about that, highnesses,” Daruk mumbled, giving Revali a sharp look. “The King asked us to come find you, but we were kinda invested in the story,”
“I don’t mind telling you as well,” Urbosa turned to Zelda. “How about it? Can they join us?”
“Hm? Oh, yes, of course!” Zelda floundered, waving them out. “Please, take a seat,”
They filed in and sat around the two, and everyone turned back to Urbosa.
“Right, where was I?”
“A hylian king,” Revali said, looked a bit affronted on the gerudo’s behalf.
“He wasn’t hylian,” she corrected. “Well, I suppose that isn’t totally true. He definitely looked hylian, but he was gerudo. One of the girls who was alive when Ganon ruled had seen the writing on the wall and hid her daughter with the girl’s hylian father. This girl later married a hylian man herself and her daughter, it is said, moved very far away. Out into the middle of nowhere. She had a daughter herself, and this daughter had a son,”
“The King,” Zelda guessed.
“Yes, the King,” Urbosa smiled. “He didn’t know that though. His mother died when he was very young, and he did not return to the desert until he was already mostly grown. But, he did eventually return to us. I’m not sure how we knew he was our king, but there was no doubt at all by the time he was crowned. Of course, he was not in an easy spot. We were still suffering from the aftermath of Ganon’s rule, and he had very little time to prepare for his new role,” she paused to smile. “Which makes his achievements all that much more impressive,”
“You put an incompetent king on a throne vacated by the monster we’re getting ready to fight, and you expect us to believe he did well?” Revali huffed.
“No,” Urbosa said. “I expect you to believe we have never had a better ruler, either king or chief, after him,”
“What did he do?” Zelda asked while the others convinced Revali to stop squawking.
“Firstly, he repaired relations with the rest of Hyrule. Hylian - gerudo relations have only ever been better when your own mother was queen. Apparently he already knew the Queen at the time, and the two spent several days coming to an agreement that ended with all of the desert, and the highlands, being gerudo territory, so long as we remained a vassal state under Hyrule. After that, he is noted as having brought our people back to prosperity,”
“One king did all that?” Mipha asked.
“Yes,” Urbosa smiled. “At the time of Ganon’s rule, the gerudo were thieves. It was his gentle pushing that caused the change into a people of merchants. It is said that the first gerudo jeweller began her trade at the encouragement of the King. She was not the only one to have been encouraged by the King, of course. You know, the reason all gerudo chiefs have our own sand seals is because of him,”
“Really?” Zelda asked, thinking of Urbosa's own sand seal back in Gerudo Town.
“Oh yes, he loved animals,” she laughed. “It is said his pride and joy was a horse he’d raised from a foal that he never travelled outside of the desert without, and he even brought a goat with him into the desert,”
“A goat?” Zelda blanched.
“A goat,” Urbosa nodded. “One of the vai had an idea, to use the sand seals native to the desert as transportation. She decided to prove the worth of this idea, as it was still relatively unheard of for gerudo to be anything but warriors, by catching and taming one first. Once she had, she brought the animal to the King and offered it as a gift,” Urbosa smiled, shaking her head. “The King adored this idea, and loved his newest pet. He was very personally involved in the beginnings of the project, and encouraged the vai who had the idea when she suggested renting them out for people to use to cross the desert. The stories say that if the King was in gerudo town and couldn’t be found in the palace, then he’d be found with the seals,”
Zelda couldn’t help but giggle at that.
“My sword and shield are based on his, you know,”
“What?”
“Gerudo kings, before him, all fought with a pair of twin swords. However, when he arrived he already had a decent grasp of swordplay. Only he fought with a single sword and a shield. He was gifted a set at his coronation, and ever since then the leader of the gerudo fought with a sword and shield. I had mine made to look like the pictures we have of his,”
“That’s actually kind of sweet, in a way,” Zelda mused.
“What do you call him?”
“Hm?” Urbosa turned at Revali’s question.
“Don’t you gerudo give your kings fancy titles?” Revali elaborated. “What do you call this king?”
“Probably the Seal King,” Daruk suggested.
“Please!” Revali rolled his eyes.
“What do you think he’s called then?” Zelda asked.
“Well, I would have called him the Hero King,”
“What about the Merchant King?” Mipha suggested.
“Little bird?” Urbosa prompted. “Do you have a guess?”
“Um,” Zelda thought on that. “Perhaps, the Healing King? Since, he’s the one who got you back to a good point,”
“All very good guesses,” Urbosa smiled. “All wrong. We call him the Wolf King,”
“Wolf King?” More than a few of them echoed back.
“Yes,” Urbosa nodded. “Fierce and feral like a beast to enemies, but to allies, there is none more loyal or dedicated,” she sighed, looking wistfully at the now setting sun. “If given the chance to meet any individual from Hyrule’s history, I would want to meet him. To ask for his advice on matters, to let him see what he’s done for our people. I just hope that I will be able to be even half the leader he was,”
“You already are,” Zelda said softly.
Urbosa turned to her, and smiled. “Little bird, that means more to me than you know,”
(---)
“Princess?”
Zelda turned to see Chief Riju approach her where she stood on the balcony overlooking Gerudo Town.
“Oh, Chief Riju, my apologies,” Zelda dipped her head, an embarrassed pink making its way up her neck and onto her cheeks. “I didn’t, if I’m in the way,”
“You aren’t,” Chief Riju shook her head. “And please, just Riju,”
Zelda nodded, still a bit embarrassed, and the two looked out over the town together in silence for a moment.
“Rupee for your thoughts?” Riju asked.
“Just, thinking about Urbosa’s legacy,” Zelda admitted.
“Oh?”
“She told me a story once, about an old gerudo king. The Wolf King. She said she had wanted to be even half as good as he was,”
“She succeeded,” Riju told her. “At least, in my opinion,”
“No, you’re right,” Zelda shook her head, smiling. “I just hope she knows that, is all. Knows that she was able to leave a big enough positive impact that she succeeded in her goal,”
Riju set a hand on Zelda’s arm. “I do too,”
Neither girl said another word.
(---)
Zelda felt a bit like screaming, if she was completely honest.
Link, Wild, whatever he was calling himself, had gotten sucked away on some magic time travelling quest with other Heroes, and now he was introducing her to his mentor, the Hero of Twilight.
A Hero, who it turns out was also the Wolf King.
He was shorter than Zelda had pictured him, and you would never know he was the gerudo king by his appearance. He definitely looked the part of a wolf, though.
But here he was, holding out the original sword and shield that Urbosa’s were based on. There were differences, obviously, but the smith who made the Scimitar of the Seven and Daybreaker had done a very good job replicating them.
“Are we done now, Cub?” The King, Twilight, sighed.
He didn’t seem to be very invested in his role as king, which contrasted Urbosa’s description of him as ‘dedicated’. In fact, it seemed like he wanted to stop talking about it as quickly as possible.
“Almost,” Link nodded. He turned to Zelda and waved his hands at Twilight. “See? I told you I got to meet him!”
“What?” Twilight asked.
“Oh, uh, pardon us, Your Highness,” Zelda gave him a half bow, and noted the way his face scrunched up. “It’s just, my good friend Urbosa had told me about you a long time ago. She looked up to you and your legacy, and so I’ve also, sort of, admired you. I, I never thought I’d actually get to meet you,”
Oh, Urbosa should be here, Zelda thought. She had wanted to meet him,
“Right,” he said slowly, tucking the sword and shield back in his bag. “Uh, thanks?”
“You, don’t seem very invested in your kingship,” Zelda noted.
“May I be completely honest with you, Your Highness?”
“Of course,” she firmly tamped down the excitement in her chest.
“I have no idea what I’m doing,”
“What?”
That definitely didn’t sound like the king Urbosa told her about.
“I grew up on a ranch,” he explained. “I herd goats. I barely knew what I was doing when I became the Hero. And now I find out I’m supposed to be a king? My village had a mayor, and he taught me how to wrestle gorons. Because he used to wrestle gorons. I don’t know how many kings can wrestle gorons,”
“At least one,” Link offered.
“Not helping,” Twilight shot him a halfhearted glare. He turned back to her and sighed. “Look, I’m sure there’s some reason you and Urbosa admired me, but I have no idea what that could possibly be. I’m impressed I haven’t screwed anything up too badly yet. So, it’s not that I’m not invested, I’m stuck in the position so I may as well actually try and do well, it’s just, I’m sort of riding blind here. I don’t know what I’m doing, and I’d really rather not talk about it,”
“Oh,” Zelda blinked. “I, suppose that makes sense. My apologies, I’ll try to refrain from bringing it up. I hadn’t intended to make you uncomfortable,”
“You didn’t,” he sighed, and Zelda felt a bit relieved. “And, thanks. It’s just, a whole headache for me,”
“I believe I understand the feeling, Your Majesty,”
“No, stop,”
“Stop?”
“No ‘Your Majesty’. No ‘King Link’, no royal titles at all. I am Link Ordon, the goat herd,” he frowned deeply. “I will accept ‘Hero’ if you must, but I,” he sighed in what seemed like defeat. “Please, just call me Twilight,”
“Of course, Twilight,”
“Thank you,”
Zelda wasn’t sure if the fact that Urbosa’s idol had no clue what he was doing would have made her friend feel any better, but it did boost Zelda’s confidence about the monumental task in front of her.
It was just a pity she wouldn’t be able to get any tips from him.
Although, apparently Hyrule’s first king was also among Links’s travelling companions. Maybe she could ask him for advice...

Please don’t let me go.
Part 2 to this! Thank you all so much for 2K followers!
Katsuki Bakugo
Tumblr media
Katsuki did not lose. Not in battles, not in competitions, friendly or not, and he would not lose you.  He refused to. He would not let you go. He loved you too much. He was too selfish to let you go. He fucked up, he’d own that. He fucked up badly, though he wasn’t certain he knew how to fix it. He could hear your sobs throughout your den, making him whine.
You hadn’t done anything but cry since those blasted words left his mouth and he was beginning (Pshh beginning, he always worried about you) to get scared.  Groaning, he shut off his phone, thanking any and every being out there an old friend of his was willing to take his shift (He had to send her a gift basket for her and Deku). His duffel landed on the ground with a thud before he was running to your guys room, opening the door with zero hesitation. You looked up to him with such heartbreak in your eyes. Fuck, his chest hurt.
Katsuki was never good with words, you and him both knew this, but he still had to make it right. He had too. Fuck his eyes were stinging as he approached you, making him collapse onto his knees in front of your nest. You watched him, not saying anything.
“Please, fuck I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to say that. Any of what I said. You don’t deserve it-deserve it. You deserve so much better than me- But I don’t want to let you go-” He was crying now, making you cry as well. You understood he was stressed, and you probably weren’t making it any better. Both of you were stressed and anxious and- fuck.
This wasn’t healthy communication. You and him both knew it. You needed to fix this. With time you would. Right now though, right now you were focused on the arms wrapping around you, and thats all you would focus on for now.
---
“Are you sure there isn’t anything you want to talk about with this upcoming pregnancy? This is a safe space.”
Katsuki smirked at the therapist. playing with the ring on your finger as he held your hand.
“What is there to say? I’m pumped. The Bakugou genes live on and I’ve got my pretty omega by my side.”
While marriage counselling sounded terrible on paper, it wasn’t. It gave you both an outlet and coping mechanisms when hurdles appeared in your relationship, and made you both overall a lot happier.
You purred as you leaned on your alpha, making the therapist smile.
“As far as I’m concerned, I’m no longer needed here. You both seem to have impressive communication now, and I can’t see this changing when your pup arrives. Though, keep in mind when that time comes, you both will need to be top of your game.”
You watched Katsuki nod, completely entranced by the therapists words. If you would’ve told yourself about this Katsuki a year ago, when your huge fight broke out, you would’ve laughed in your own face. But now, watching Katsuki work hard to prove he was the alpha you deserve?
Your heart fluttered and the butterflies in your tummy grew restless. While a pup would be a big challenge, you and Katsuki were ready for it.
And he would be with you every step of the way.
Shouto Todoroki
Tumblr media
His choice was made before his subconscious even had the chance to boot up. His throat closed up and his phone was crushed in his palm when it tried dragging his attention from the fact at hand. It was dropped with little remorse as Shouto quickly ran in the same direction you did, stopping you from entering your guys room. You chirped in surprise when he turned you around, pressing a searing kiss to your lips.
You wanted to fight him but Shouto didn’t let you. He didn’t let you go when you squirmed, he only tightened his grip (Not hurting you). He didn’t know when it happened, but tears were starting to drip down his cheeks.
Shouto didn’t get angry. But he got upset. He felt so guilty. Just seeing your heartbroken face replay on his mind was torture. Just knowing he had just did the same thing his father did to his mother. He was dismissing your worries and genuine concern because of his job.
“I-I don’t see how messed up this is. But I want you to tell me- show me. I want to be a better alpha for you. Bonding you wasn’t and won’t ever be a mistake to me. I don’t know what I’m doing, but I want to. I want to know why it’s such a big deal.”
You broke down as Shouto held you, not finding the words to explain anything just yet. You would need time to do so, and he would give you that time.
He just wanted to tell you he made his choice.
In fact, there wasn’t much of a choice at all, and he hoped-- prayed-- you could feel that.
---
“Shouto, we need you to start up the scenting again. You’re rep is dropping and-” His P.R. manager was halted with a finger, the half-and-half hero quickly dialing your number on a new-- not crushed-- phone.
“Sho? Aren’t you at work? Why are you calling? Did something-”
“Scenting things that aren’t for you, thats a breech of privacy and demeans our relationship, right?” Shouto cut you off, sending a silent apology to you.
You paused on the other end. “Yeah? We had this conversation a couple weeks ago. Are you okay?”
He smiled. “Fine. Just reminding myself.”
You both said your quick goodbyes before Shouto turned to his P.R. manager. “My omega said no.”
“Who cares what your omega thinks?! Your-”
“I’m nothing without my omega. I care what my omega thinks and what my omega says go. If her word isn’t enough then mine will be. I said no.”
Silently, Shouto patted himself on the back as he turned, trying to leave for patrol. You would be proud of his newly shined spine.
“Your-”
“Oh, before I forget. ” Shouto turned, facing the manager who was red with rage. It made him smirk. “You’re fired.”
Keigo Takami
Tumblr media
Patrol was rough. Brutal. He couldn’t focus.
He had told you he was more important. He wasn’t.
He was a broken shell of a man. Hawks was this fucking persona he put up, and in that moment those words came from him. Not the Keigo that you dug so hard for. Not the Keigo that you ached for late at night, just wanting to hold him in your arms.
He was blurring the lines between Keigo and Hawks, with Hawks breaking through as the dominant. He didn’t want that. Not at all. He wanted Keigo to still be there. Be there for you.
Fuck this.
He was going to be there for you. Fuck the hero rankings. Fuck the commission. Fuck anything that kept him from you.
Turning around, he ignored any calls of his name, soaring faster than he had all evening to get to you. He could see you through the windows of the balcony (You both lived on the top floor, enough enough ceiling to floor windows looked nice). You were looking ahead of you blankly, wrapped in one of his sweaters. Fuck you looked like you had gone through the ring. Hair messy and eyes blotchy.
You didn’t even look over when he tumbled through the door, literally crawling to you.
Keigo would admit he had never cried since he was six. He was twenty-three now. That was seventeen years.
He would also admit he cried at your feet. Angry, painful sobs that rocked his body and made him hurt. He didn’t care though. He’d do it all for you.
He tried pleading that he was nothing without you. Hollow and empty.
To be fair though, he wasn’t even certain he was doing anything other than incoherent babbles.   When your arms wrapped around him and allowed his wings to cocoon around you both, he figured he made some sense.
For you, he’d go through all the pain seventeen years of hiding would bring him.
---
“Baby bird!”
Keigo didn’t normally call out to you like he found himself doing, but recently, he’s found himself doing a lot of stuff he never imagined himself doing.
Domestic life with you was such a nice feeling.
Having you in his arms every morning, working with you as he got ready for work, watching you yourself get ready for your day. Just you.
You were perfect in everyway and it made his chest tighten with love every time he saw you.
You turned the corner with a smile, waving to him before gesturing for him to follow. He did so with a quirked brow, following you to one of the ex-guest rooms. You were giddy, bouncing slightly in your place with your scent so happy and boisterous it made Keigo purr.
When you decided he wasn’t moving fast enough, you ran back, pulling him forward and into the nursery. His son was laying there, fast asleep in a makeshift mini-nest, bright red wings wrapped around himself as a blanket.
You cooed and held onto Keigo, watching as your alpha picked up your son, holding him to his chest. The young boy merely ruffled his feathers, quickly recognizing the scent and nuzzling into his dad’s chest.
While he went through seventeen years of pain in the span of two, he had you by his side. And now, he had his son. His son which you had gifted him.
He didn’t know what he was thinking back then, but truly no one was more important than you.
And he would take that with him until the day he dies.

Love and Monsters
Steve Harrington x Reader!Henderson
Oneshot
Tumblr media
Y/N Henderson's life was not like any other normal teenager's life, on a very young age her only friends was her brother, Dustin and his friends.. She was not popular in highschool, but she was not a nobody neither.. Y/N was just invisible, lost in the sea of students.. She was almost through highschool though, one day her life was turned upside down, literally and figuratively.. It's been months since the 'thing' happend, but she was still shaken up.
Y/N was laying in bed, My Generation blasting from her stereo.. She was home alone, her mother was out with some friends, her brother was hanging out with 'King Steve'.. Ever since Steve helped them about Dart, she grew closer to Steve but their short lived friendship ended when Dustin left for camp and Steve worked on their family business while she was stuck preparing herself for college.. Y/N misses Steve, his unfunny jokes and oh god--his laugh..
A loud knock startled her, she shot up from her bed, memories of what happend was flashing back to her.. Despite what she tells her friend, she was not okay.. She almost died twice and that opened up trauma's and issues within herself..
Another loud knock startled her, Y/N shakes her head and just ran to the door.. Reaching their front door, her icy hands made contact with the cold steel knob..
It revealed a disheveled Dustin and Steve, she could tell that there were excitement dripping all over them.. Steve was still wearing his sailor work uniform, he looked cute to Y/N but she once threw that thought in the back of her mind..
"What's up?" She questioned the two.
Dustin just smiled and pushed pass her, while Steve was reluctant to go in.. Steve avoided Y/N for almost the whole summer because of the daunting realization that he was catching feelings for her and that scared him.. Y/N was the kind of girl that likes to watch nerdy movies, spend hours playing games with a bunch of kids and save the world two times.. However, Steve was scared, he was still stuck in the unjustified rules of highschool and popularity. . He still wanted to be 'King Steve', but he also wanted to be Y/N's..
"Nice outfit, sailor boy.." Y/N winked and laughs at Steve, he just shakes his head and went inside their house..
Steve made his way to Dustin's room with Y/N right behind him, but before reaching Dustin's room, he passed Y/N's room.. He unconsciously stopped as he looks around, observing every corner of her room.
There were posters plastered all over her walls, books were all around her room in her bed, shelves and even floors.. In the other side she had a small collection of music that made Steve smile.. Because they had the exact same taste, she is the perfect girl.
"If you want to go in, you're free to wander around my room, anytime.."
Steve turned around to face Y/N, he misses her.. How Y/N sarcastic remarks leave her sweet lips or how she rolls her eyes whenever she see something stupid.
"I might just take you up on that.."
"Hm-mm.. You didn't even talk to me when Dustin left, you broke my heart, Steviee.." She jokes, but it sounded a little bitter.
Y/N did get hurt, Steve stopped talking to her when Dustin left, it seems like Steve didn't really like her as much as she thinks he did. Y/N was bored and got stuck just studying and sometimes hanging out with the party.. It was fun but she was looking forward to hanging out with Steve.
"I'm sorry about that, I didn't want to see my old friends hanging out with someone like yo---" Steve stopped his sentence, he didn't mean that.. His mind was a mess, he said those things because he didn't want Y/N finding out his stupid feelings
"Right..Yeah, I get it.."
"Y/N that's not what I me--"
"Cause King Steve shouldn't be hanging out with people like me?Gotcha.."
Steve didn't even had the time to reply, he was met with Y/N's slamming door.. He didn't mean that.. Steve loved hanging out with Y/N, he want to give her something special.. Steve wanted something more from Y/N.. He knew exactly what and he didn't need a reason why but Steve wanted to give Y/N something more..
Y/N was hurt, she didn't know why but Steve words brought devastation to her.. She felt disappointed and upset, Y/N was expecting something special.. She didn't know what or why but she was expecting something more from Steve.
Y/N was dropping off Dustin to the mall where Steve was working, her lips were in a unsual frown.. Y/N wasn't usally like this, she was having a bad week, Steve just hurt her feelings and she was taking it much harder, it was very unsual.. The two Henderson was making their way to the Scoops Ahoy shop, Dustin was rambling about a message he picked up while contacting his girlfriend.
"Are you listening?" Her brother asked as they reach the store.
"Yepp, you should go in now.."
"Y/N, this could be a good thing!"
"I know..If you need my help, you can find me in the food court.."
"Y/N.."
"Yeah, Dus?"
"Are you okay?"
Y/N's mind went blank, she hated lying to her brother but she didn't want to worry anyone.  She laughs and messed Dustin's hair.
"Of course.. Now go, you know where to find me.." With that she left..
Y/N was not okay, the last time she slept was a month ago.. Nightmares kept crawling back to her, she was growing more paranoid by the day.. She was not okay, but she couldn't tell anyone that.. Everyone else is okay, even Wil who had it more rough than her. And to top that up, she was broken hearted by Steve's rejection of their friendship.. Y/N just massaged the bridge of her nose, when will she be fine?
Dustin and Steve was in the corner of the mall with binoculars in their eyes, Steve saw Y/N.. Sitting alone in the corner, a walkman in her ears and a book in hand.. Y/N was mouthing the word as her eyes read every word on that book and Steve couldn't help but feel all giddy and guilty inside.
"You see anything?" Dustin snapped Steve back to their current task.
"Uh, I guess I don't totally know what I'm looking for.'' Steve answered honestly, Y/N distracted him again.
"Evil Russians."
"Yeah, exactly. I don't know what an evil Russian looks like."
"All blond, not smiling."
"Mm-hmm?" Steve's eyes didn't looked for any Russians, his eyes drifted to Y/N spot but she was gone.. Where did she go? He couldn't help but worry, was she talking to someone else?
"Also, look for earpieces, camo, duffel bags, that sort of thing." Dustin added.
"Right, okay, duffel bags." Steve darts his eyes away from Y/N seat but it only fell on a girl he asked out earlier.
"Oh, you've gotta be kidding me." Steve mutters.
"What?" Dustin questioned.
"Anna Jacobi's talking with that meathead Mark Lewinsky."
"If you're not gonna focus, just gimme the binoculars."
Dustin got annoyed by his distracted partner, he should have brought his sister along.. But he knew that Y/N was not okay, she seemed distant and lost in her own mind.. Always spacing out and Dustin can hear her cries from his room, it killed him to see her loving and hyper sister transform into a walking corpse.
"Aw, Jesus Christ, whatever happened to standards?"
"I mean, Lewinsky never even came off the bench." Steve rambled on, annoying Dustin.
"Dude, you are the worst spy in history, you know that?"
The two fought for the binoculars, but they just looked stupid.. Dustin initially gave up and gave the binoculars to Steve.
"I don't get why you're looking at girls. You have the perfect one in front of you."
"Seriously, if you say Robin again..." Steve closes his eyes waiting for Robin's name to come up but it never did.
"No, Y/N.. My sister.."
Steve's heart clenched at the mention of her name, he wants Y/N too.. What can he do? Y/N hates his ass now, he was a jerk and he didn't deserve Y/N.
"No, man, she's not my type." Steve answered while he diverts his eyes away from Dustin.
"I saw you staring at her closed door for about 5 minutes."
Steve eyes grew wide at the realization that Dustin was watching the whole time.. Dustin just shakes his head, if he was asked he'd say that her sister felt the same way..
"She's not even... in the ballpark of what my type is, all right?"
"What's your type again? Not awesome?"
"Thank you."
"Hm."
"For you information, your sister is too sarcastic, she's too nerdy for me.."
"Also, she's too...boyish.."
Beautiful, that's what he wanted to say..
"Dude, that's my sister you're talking about, and besides she's not like that.. She's nerdy but so what? Y/N's also not boyish, she's just secured with her masculinity.."
Dustin's word echoed throughout Steve's system, he already knew that.. But somehow hearing it from another person's perspective made him like you more.
"Y/N's just not my type.." He lied..
Y/N was everything he ever wanted in a girl.
"Thanks for the clarification, Harrington." A voice surprised the two.
Y/N was standing behind them, her arms crossed..  Steve's eyes widen in surprise, did she hear everything? He didn't mean that, what did he mean?
"I didn't mean t--"
"Dustin, if you told me you'll stalk people in malls, I should've brought you to a psychiatrist.." Y/N ignored Steve and just focused on her brother.. Y/N would be lying if she haven't felt more hurt by the words Steve dropped.. She had been listening since the talk about girls came up, Y/N spotted the two doing eccentric things and she decided to eavesdrop.
"No, it's called spying.." Dustin rolled his eyes at her sister remarks while Steve was still frozen..
"What's the difference?" Y/N asked, her eyes still focused on he brother..
"It's just different, okay? Were looking for the--" Dustin stopped and looks around to see if anybody was near..
"Russians?" Y/N continued in a loud tone.
"Shh!" Both Steve and her brother shushed her. Y/N was surpised, she glares at the two and moved closer to them.
"Fine, can I tag along? I'm bored and it'll be nice to be a national hero."
The two looked at each other, Steve was nervous.. Y/N obviously didn't want him around, but this could be a chance for him to apologize to Y/N.
"Sure, you can help us look for russians with dufflebags and camo." Dustin pulled her sister to his side.
"That's kinda racis--"
"No, it's not!" Dustin cuts her sister off making Y/N laugh..
"Whatever you say Dus.."
And that's how she ended up inside a theater with two kids and two drugged teenagere.. Y/N's breathing was heavy, they were captured by Russians just moments ago.. Adrenaline was pumping through her veins, she thought this town was finally normal again, but turns out she was wrong.. Very very wrong..
They needed to get out of this hellish mall, Y/N need to find out if there's still russians lurking out, looking for them.
"The two of you need to stay here and take care of them." Y/N instructs to her brother, she pointed at a floopy Steve and Robin.
"Wait--Where are you going?!" Dustin stopped her by pulling her arm.
"I'm going to see if those fuckers are still looking for us.."
"No, we'll come with you.."
"Dustin, you need to stay here and keep a low profile.."
"Y/N don't be a hero.."
"Hey, Dipshit!I'm not trying to be a hero, what I'm doing is protecting you guys because our two friends are drugged and beaten while we brought a little kid into our mess! And I will do everything to keep you all safe, even if that means I get hurt or killed!"
Dustin knew that there's no talking Y/N out of this, her sister was right.. Taking a deep breath, he just nods and hugs her sister..
"Just please, stay safe.." Dustin was in the verge of tears but Y/N held him tight in her arms.. Dustin pulled back, Y/N gave her brother a comforting smile, she rubbed his cheeks and pat his head.
"I'll be okay, I'm a Henderson for god's sake.."
Dustin laughs as tears stroll in his face, she kissed his forehead and walked away, trying not to attract attention.. Taking a deep breath she left the theater, she'll do whatever it takes to keep her brother and her friends.. Y/N's mind flew to Steve, she was pissed off but she was not sure anymore.. The way he saved them and got beat up for them, she couldn't find a reason to be mad at him, all she can think about is his childlish look and how hot he is in his sailor uniform. Y/N just shakes those thoughts away and tried to focus on her task..
Russians..
Steve and Robin were throwing up in a seperate cubicles, they were getting the drugs out of their system.. Retching and puking can be heard all through out the theater bathroom, Steve groans and flushes the toilet.
"The ceiling stopped spinning for me. Is it still spinning for you?" Robin's voice can be heard from the other cubicle.
"Holy shit. No. You think we puked it all up?" Steve rested his back to the mini wall inside the cubicle..
"Maybe. Ask me something.."
"Interrogate me." Robin said in a mocking russian accent.
"Okay. Interrogate you. Sure. Um... When was the last time you, uh, peed your pants?"
"Today."
"What?"
"When the Russian doctor took out the bone saw."
"Oh... All right, my turn."
"Okay. Hit me."
"Have you... ever been in love?"
"Yep. Nancy Wheeler. First semester, senior year." Steve imitates a gunshot.
"Are you still in love with Nancy?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"I found someone else, she's a little bit better for me.It's crazy. Ever since Dustin got home, he's been saying, 'You know, you gotta find your Suzie. You gotta find your Suzie.' "
"Wait, who's Suzie?"
"It's some girl from camp, I guess his girlfriend. To be honest with you, I'm not 100% sure she's even real."
" But that's not- that's not really the point. That doesn't matter. The point is, this girl, you know, the one that I like, it's somebody that I... didn't even talk to in school. And I don't even know why."
"Maybe 'cause Tommy H. would've made fun of me or... I wouldn't be... prom king. It's stupid. I mean, Dustin's right, it's all just a bunch of bullshit anyways. Because, when I think about it, I should've been hanging out with this girl the whole time."
"First of all, she hates me now because of a stupid thing I said but when we hanged out, we were bonding and shit.. She was perfect for me, she's nerdy, hangs out with kids too much.. She likes the same things I like, her brother is my bestfriend.. Sometimes I wonder if she's real, because she's too perfect."
"Wait--You like Y/N?"
"Yeah, ever since last year.. I like her so damn much, I can't even believe that I said to her that I shouldn't be hanging out with someone like her."
"YOU SAID THAT?" Robin's voice boomed out all over the bathroom, Steve just sighs and slids out of the cubicle..
"Unfortunately, yes.."
Steve slid in to Robins cubicle, she was glaring at him.
"If you ask me, Y/N doesn't deserve someone like me.. She--She's too nice to be caught up in my miserable life.. And besides she would never like me.."
"I think you're still high.."
"No, I'm not.."
"Do you remember what I said about Click's class? About me being jealous and, like, obsessed?"
"Yeah?"
"It isn't because I had a crush on you. It's because... she wouldn't stop staring at you.."
"Mrs. Click?" Robin chuckles and just shakes her head.
"Y/N Henderson, I wanted her to look at me. But... she couldn't pull her eyes away from you and your stupid hair. And I didn't understand, because you would get bagel crumbs all over the floor. And you asked dumb questions. And you were a douchebag. And- And you didn't even like her then and... I would go home... and just scream into my pillow."
"But Y/N's a girl.."
"Steve.."
"Oh.."
"Yeah, now listen..Don't give me the 'she doesn't deserve me' and 'she doesn't like me back' crap.. Y/N was inlove with you since highschool, now you will tell her all about your mushy mushy feelings and you'll two will get married, have kids and you'll have me to thank for. "
"But what about you?"
"Please, I moved on.."
"Really?"
"Hell yeah, with my pretty face?I could find someone in a jiffy!"
The two were laughing when Dustin and Ericka burst into the bathroom.. Annoyance and frustration written all over their face..
"Okay. What the hell?!" Dustin asked very annoyed.
"Dude, we're normal again.."
"That's not the problem now, we need to find Y/N and go with the rest of the party."
"Y/N's not with you?"
"Do you see her?" Erica asked with the normal sass in her voice. Robin rolls her eyes at Erica who just glares at her.
"Where did she go?" Steve ignored Erica's sarcastic question
"She said she'll check the perimeter, but she hasn't come back since." Dustin answered, she was worried for her sister.. In their situation, who wouldn't?
"Shit." Steve and Robin both utter at the same time.
Y/N was changed into a much more inauspicious clothes, it was just some pants and a shirt tucked into it.. She fixed her disheveled hair and wiped her sweat.. She needed to blend in, her eyes wander around the mall.. There were Russians walking around, bviously looking for someone and that someone was them.. All the exits are heavily guarded by guards, there's no way out..
Taking a deep breath she walked back to the theater, praying that her brother and friends was safely still there but before she could even reached the theater, a russian man spotted her..
"I got eyes on one of the target!" The russian said into his earpiece, making Y/N run to the higher level of the mall, her heart racing and she was starting to feel tired.
Y/N just ran until she lost the russian, her breathing was getting shorter by the second..  Y/N's leg was starting to hurt but she ignored it and looked down to see if she can spot her brother..
And there they are, getting chased by guards.. Worries pumped into her brain as they run.. She needed to help them, if not they could get killed.
"Hey stupid spies!I'm right up here, morons!" Y/N screamed at the top of her lungs as she waves her hands around..
Steve and Dustin was horrified as they hide into the counters, Y/N was risking her life for theirs..
The guards that was chasing them made eye contact and targeted Y/N but before they could do anything a car honk.. The russians looked at each other, confused and dazed.. Eleven can be seen controlling the car, she throws it at the bad men and all they could hear were groans..
Y/N felt a surge of relief, she made her way to her brother.. Dustin, Robin, Erica and Steve pop out from behind the counter, steam hissing.. Y/N saw her brother and they all rushed up to hug her..
A tight hug welcomed Y/N, but this hug wasn't just from Dustin.. It was also from Robin, Erica and Steve.. Suddenly they all look up to see the rest of the party.. The hug was cut off by Dustin running to hug Mike and Eleven.
"Lucas?" Erica saw her brother and it made Lucas confuse..
"What are you doing here?"
Y/N who was just taking in deep breaths smiled to herself.. They were safe, but she knew this was not over.. Steve stayed in Y/N side, Robin's word replayed in his mind.. This is his chance to say his undying love to Y/N.
"Y/N?"
"Hmm?" Y/N saw Steve besides her, she was growing tired but Y/N needed to keep thriving for everyone.. Y/N saw that Steve was hesitant, he was nervous and it made her felt nervous too.
"I--I uhh.." Steve mumbles, his tongue was backing out.. Y/N had such a powerful effect on him, to the way she says his name, and everytime Y/N calls him, his heart skips a beat.. It sounds corny, but it was true..
"What?Do you need a speak and spell?" Y/N joked, it didn't help a struggling Steve.. He started to grew more anxious, he needed to get this off his chest.. This could be the last time they all see each other alive, there's no telling what could happen to them.
Y/N was just staring at him
"I have something to confess---"
Steve was cut off by El who was in pain and grunting in the floor..  They all ran to her aid and helped her with the pain she was going through.. Steve slightly curses at himself, maybe this was not a great time for a love confession.. He needed to focus on surviving this hellish adventure.. Again
It finally ended.. Y/N was relieved, it was over.. They were safe, Y/N and Dustin were sitting in the back of an ambulance, a blanket around them as they hug each other..
"If this shit happens again, we're moving.." Y/N jokes.. Dustin chuckled, maybe they should.. However, the adventures were growing more fun and dangerous..
"Nah, we love being heroes.."
Y/N laughs as she held her brother tighter, she fixed his hair and wipe some dirt off his face.. Even if he's old now, he'll always be Y/N's baby brother.. She smiled at the memory of Suzie and Dustin singing in the middle of mayhem and chaos.
"Stooop, I'm all grown up now!" He stood up and made his way to his friends..
"Don't get too far, lover boy!" Y/N shouted causing Dustin's cheek to blush..
Y/N sighs at the sight of her brother walking away from her, this is the last time she'll save the world, she was tired of monsters.. Y/N was just enjoying the cold air of the night when someone cleared their throat.
"Hello to you Harrington.." Y/N smiled at Steve, he was just standing infront of her.. Y/N can't help but feel giddy when Steve's in his sailor outfit.. It saddens her that Steve was still stuck in his highschool mindset..
"I have something to tell you.." Steve mumbles incoherently, but Y/N understood it.. Steve was always nervous when Y/N's around, he remember the first time he saw Y/N..
Steve saw Dustin on the street asking for help, and he didn't believe at him first but he was soon convinced by how Dustin was nervous and scared.. They pulled up at the Henderson's residence, that's where he first saw--no that's not the right word..
That's where he first acknowledged Y/N..
She was sitting on the porch steps on her pajama's, there were dirt on her face and her hairs a mess.. Y/N's face lighten up when he saw Dustin getting out of the car..
"Hey Dus------What is he doing here?" Y/N's face dropped when he saw Steve also getting out of the car.
"He's our back up.." Her brother answered short and continue walking into the entrance of the basement.
"I'm back up..'' Steve said cocky at Y/N, she just scoffs and followed Dustin..
"For a guy with a black eye, you're awfully confident.."
"That's what seeing a pretty girl like you does to me.." Steve didn't know what he ate that time but he had this whole new confidence when he started talking to Y/N.. However, Y/N didn't seem impressed to his corny jokes and pick up lines, she was always scoffing and rolling her eyes..
"Yeah, you said that too when we were inside..That" Y/N's voice pulled him back to the present.. Y/N gestured at the burning mall infront of them.
"Yeah.." Steve cleared his throat, he opens his mouth, but the words won't come out he's chokin', how, everybody's jokin' now, the clocks run out, times up, over, blaow   .
"Are you gonna say something?" Y/N was starting to get nervous, did she do something to make Steve act strange? He was shaking, the sweat on his forehead is flowing like the Niagara Falls.. That's not attractive yet for some reason she found it hot..
"Oh--Yeah--Uhh.." He failed to say words again, why can't he just go straight to the point?
Robin who was with the rest of the party was staring at a stuttering and nervous Steve.. The rest started to notice even Jonathan and Nancy who was in each others arms..
"When is he gonna tell my sister that he likes her?" Dustin ponder as he stares at the two..
"I don't know, he's taking forever just uttering one sentence.." Lucas pitched in making the others laugh..
"I thought Steve was a suave and cool guy?" Mike jokes causing some of them to laugh, some was just quiet.. They were still having a hard time grasping all of this, especially Max..
"He's a nerd just like you guys.." Nancy answered, they all shake their heads as they watch Steve nervously fidgets..
"Alright, I finally had enough.." Robin whispers, the party turned to Robin, carefulky watching to what she had under her sleeves..
"HEY Y/N!" Robin shouts..
Y/N broke her gaze with Steve and brought it to a shouting Robin, not far from them.. Steve just froze to his place, panic started blaring out through his mind..
"WHAT STEVE'S TRYING TO SAY IS HE FREAKING LIKES YOU!" Robin shouted, and it all made them freeze.. Y/N blinked rapidly, did she hear that right? Steve l-likes her? What? When? How? Where?
Steve felt embarrased, he wanted the crawl in a hole and die.. Robin was dead to him, how could she do that? Now Y/N's gonna start to avoid him, she obviously doesn't like her back.
"I-Is that true?" Y/N finally asked the question she was dying to ask, she never really thought about Steve that way.. Fine, she's not gonna lie, there were some thoughts about Steve that kept her up at night..
"I can explain--If you don't feel the same it's totally fi----" Steve panicked and randomly said any excuses he can think off, not giving Y/N a chance to speak..
Y/N rolled her eyes at how Steve was rambling on, she smiled and stands up.. Pulling Steve sailor outfit, she kissed him..
Steve pressed his lips harder on Y/N, he wanted this kiss to happen since he first saw her.. And now it's happening, Y/N puts her arm around Steve's neck.. This was her first kiss and she was glad that it was to Steve.. They both kissed as the burning Star Court crumbles infront of them.  Y/N didn't knew that you can find love and monsters in this terrifying situation..
Dustin groaned at the sight of her sister and bestfriend kissing, he wanted to vomit and scoop his eyes out.. This was not a sight for sore eyes..
"Ugh!I don't want to watch my sister exchange salivas with Harrington!" Dustin sigh under his breath
"Get used to it, you'll be seeing a lot of him.." Robin teased making Dustin die inside.
"Dammit!"
Y/N was just thinking that some people lost someone special, Eleven lost Hopper.. Max lost Billy and the rest will wake up in the morning with terrible memories haunting them everyday, they can no longer feel the assurance that they're safe in the quiet town they grew up to. They knew everything that lies withing the depths of this ground, all the horrible things that Hawkin Labs brought.. Chief Hopper and Billy Hargrove died for them, they were heroes.. And the sad part is, no one will ever know.. Those who deserves to be recognized is no longer here, the heroine act they did save the world yet the world doesn't even know about them.. But Y/N and the rest knows that the sacrifices they made won't go to waste, they'll do everything in their power to keep whatever haunts this eerie town at bay.
I found this highly nice but cringey at the same time so bear with it, I also wanted to update my series about James Potter but I just can't seem to end it ughhhhh..Anyways, I hope you guys like this one..

Jax Teller x Daughter Reader
“You gonna actually behave for your father this week?” You mum asked as you packed your bag.
“Maybe, depends if he pisses me off or not” you shrugged.
The thing was your mum and dad split about 4 years ago, a year after Abel was born. They had you at a young age, at 15 to be precise, you was now 18 and had seen their relationship completely fall apart, you saw how he treated your mum towards the end of the relationship and you hated it, you hated how he made your mum feel, how you saw the whole thing. However you were grateful Abel was still too young to understand what was going on.
“Y/N please, I know you don’t get along with him but he is your dad at the end of the day” mum sighed.
“Not gonna change my opinion on him” you laughed.
Even though your parents weren’t together anymore they never actually filed for a divorce.
“Just try” mum said placing her hand on your shoulder “for Abel at least, it’s hard enough on him as it is”
“And it’s not hard for me mum” you spat “try going through school where everyone is obsessed with the sons, constantly badgering me about them, about dad, asking if the fucking rumours are true”
You knew that your mum wasn’t completely innocent in the whole relationship break down. So you had an attitude with them both.
The drive to Teller-Morrow was silent, neither you or your mum spoke because you were your father’s daughter at the end of day, your mum always said it was like having a female Jax in the house, the way you held yourself, your attitude, your temper. So no words were spoken just for Abel’s sake, he didn’t need to see his sister and mum biting each other’s heads off.
Climbing out of the car, you grabbed your bag from the boot, before wandering off to find your uncles, at least you had a good relationship with them, it was just the relationship with your dad that was rocky.
You didn’t get it, he was such a good father to Abel, but with you it was a different story, one of his biggest regrets was you seeing the breakdown happen, all the arguments that happened when you were younger. Since then you saw the man that you once saw as your hero as the bad guy.
“Hey kiddo” Jax grinned, opening his arms to you.
“Whatever dad” you huffed walking by him, dumping your bag on the picnic bench before placing a cigarette in your mouth.
“She’s in a mood, sorry Jax” you heard mum say, making you roll your eyes. “Give her a couple of days and she should calm down”
“She’s so much like me it’s scary” he sighed as he watched you laugh with Tig and Happy.
“If you’re gonna talk about me can you at least go somewhere where I can’t bloody hear you” you snapped not looking at them.
Jax knew that with both his kids being here with him for the week, he was going to try his hardest to mend the bridges that had once been burnt. He wanted nothing more than getting his little girl back.
“I will speak with her” Jax nodded as he took Abel into his arms, who was grinning at the sight of his daddy.
At least one of his kids didn’t hate him.
However he had a plan, he knew you loved bikes, so he had one sat in the garage waiting to be restored and he was hoping it was something you could do together and then he could teach you to ride. He knew it wouldn’t magically fix the relationship but at least it would give you a memory that wasn’t bad.
Your mum had now left, which meant you were stuck with your dad for the next week, no doubt it would be a week of you looking after Abel, it always was when you were here, the club came before you. It always had and always would.
“Table in 5” Jax shouted as he walked into the club, he didn’t miss the eye roll that came from you, he knew what you thought, you had only been here 10 minutes and he was putting the club before you. But this time would be different.
“Okay so everyone knows my relationship with Y/N is very much on the rocks right now” Jax sighed running his hand over his face. “And I know it’s my fault and I want to fix that, so this week I only want to be involved in club business if the shit has hit the fan. Anything else speak to Chibs, I need to fix things with my little girl before it is too late”
Everyone nodded, they knew how much Jax loved you, you was his first born at the end of the day and it killed him knowing that you hated him.
“Anything we can do to help we are here” Happy nodded.
“Thanks Hap but this is something I need to do on my own, I created this mess so I need to fix it” Jax sighed “If it can be fixed”
It was now Wednesday and Jax still hadn’t made any progress, the bike lay untouched in the garage, and you hadn’t spoken more than a few words a day to him.
“Uncle Hap am I being a bitch?” You sighed looking up at him as you lit a smoke.
“Honestly kiddo, I know where you are coming from but he is the only dad you are gonna get” Happy said placing his hand on yours. “I know the reasons you have for hating Jax but he misses his little girl, I’m not saying forgive him straight away but stop shutting him out”
“I miss my dad” you sighed “but you didn’t hear me say that”
“My lips are sealed” Happy nodded “you know he took a step back from the club this week to spend time with you and Abel”
“I didn’t know” you sighed running your hand over your face.
“I think he wants to restore a bike or something with you” Hap smiled kissing your head “he’s in the garage”
Trudging into the garage with your head hung low, you felt guilty about how you went off at dad this morning.
“I’m sorry” you mumbled, not looking up.
You heard him sigh and his footsteps getting closer to you.
Talk about irony, the radio had started playing bad husband, scoffing as dad placed his hand on your shoulder.
You can be a liar and a good father A good dad, but a bad husband
“Guess the song is 90% right” you sighed “you are a good father to Abel at least”
“Hey look at me kiddo” Dad said lifting your chin. “My biggest regret in life was letting you see all the fights between me and your mum. I know that has done so much damage to our relationship but I never stopped loving your or your mum okay”
You stayed silent, you didn’t know what to say.
Forever be a hero in my eyes, But there’s always another side. To a good father. A great dad, but a bad husband
“Look me and your mum still love each other and we probably always will” he sighed “we just don’t work well together okay but that doesn’t mean I stopped loving you”
All I want is for us not to hurt. And it’s been an exhaustive search to find the words
The song was basically saying everything you couldn’t.
But I’m not so sure how to close this. I just don’t know how some people can be so good At one thing and so fucked at a whole ‘nother, shit, it’s no wonder
You both just stood there not saying a word as Jax pulled you into his arms holding you tight.
“I’m not saying we have to go back to being as close as we once were but I want a chance, a chance to mend the bridges I burnt, I want to be in your life and not as someone you hate” Jax whispered.
Nodding your head, you sniffed as a tear fell down your cheek, this was the most you had talked in a year. All you wanted to hear over the past year was that your dad still loved you.
“You don’t have to say anything yet sweetheart” dad whispered kissing your head “now what do you say to helping your old man fix this bike up and then I would like it if you let your old man teach you how to ride”
“I’d like that” you mumbled.
The next few days flew by and your mum had arrived to pick you and Abel up. Pushing yourself off the bench you walked over to her with a slight smile on your face.
“Come on, let’s get you home” mum said.
Glancing over to your dad you smiled softly before turning back to your mum.
“Actually mum, I think I’m gonna stick around here a bit longer” you nodded feeling Jax place his hand on your shoulder squeezing it softly. “I wanna stay with dad, we still have a bike to finish”
-
Your mum stood staring at you, confusion spread all over her face.
“You want to willingly stay?” She questioned
“Yup” you nodded.
“Who are you and what have you done with my daughter?” She laughed before turning to Jax “you okay with her staying?”
“Course I am” he beamed at the fact you wanted to stay with him longer.
As soon as you said bye to your mum, you headed back into the garage leaving Jax stood there in his own world.
“Come on dad the bike isn’t gonna fix its self” you laughed rolling your sleeves up.
The hours flew by and you was both covered in grease, Chibs walked outside hearing all the laughter coming from the garage, a smile formed on his face as he snapped a photo of the two of you before walking back into the club house.
“Okay a know normally a would bring this ta table but no one is to disturb Jackie Boy, a don’t care wha it is, if it’s club business, Ye arms fallen off or Ye are on fire, ye come ta me” Chibs smiled leaning against the bar. “Tha is until further notice, this is wha they both need”
Everyone nodded in agreement, it was nice to see you and Jax not at each other’s throats and they knew that the fact you wanted to stay here meant you really wanted to rebuild the relationship
Standing back from the bike something clicked.
“Why does this bike look so familiar?” You asked.
“Well princess it was your grandads” Jax grinned draping his arm around your shoulder.
“JT’s” you said looking up and he nodded. “Wait and you are just letting me have once we have fixed her up?”
“That’s the plan” Jax laughed “he would have wanted you to have it and it’s better than it sitting gathering dust”
You were in awe, you knew how much this bike meant to him. Wrapping your arms around him you gave him a tight hug.
Neither of you talked about much other than the bike, outside of the garage you were slowly building things back up, you both knew it would take longer than a week but it was a start.
“So your mum says you’ve been getting into trouble at college?” He asked as you were packing the tools up.
“Meh” you shrugged “someone said something, I didn’t like it so I fucking punched them and broke there nose. No biggie”
Jax couldn’t help but smirk, you were exactly like him, in so many ways.
“You can’t say anything dad you taught me talking was boring when you can fight it out” just as you said it an idea popped into your head. Spinning round on the balls of your feet you grinned at your dad.
“No, nope happening” He laughed when he realised what you was thinking “me and you aren’t going at it in the ring” he chuckled.
“Why do you think you will lose old man” you taunted.
“Nope it’s not that” he said looking up “I am not boxing with my daughter”
“You’re just scared because you know I’m gonna beat your ass” you giggled squaring up to him.
He knew you weren’t gonna back down. You was a Teller at the end of the day.
“Fine but if you get hurt you are telling your mum it was your idea” Jax sighed in defeat.
And with that you ran off into the clubhouse to tell everyone.
It was now 7pm and Tig was wrapping your fists.
“You sure about fighting your dad kiddo?” He asked.
“Uncle Tiggy I’m sure” you nodded “we need this, well I need this. If I’m gonna let go of the past I need to do this”
“Okay then” he smiled kissing your fist “beat the shit out of your old man”
You were now standing face to face with your dad in the ring. He knew what was happening, and he wasn’t going to fight back, he had overheard what you said to Tig. So if beating the shit out of him was what you needed to forgive him then that is what he was going to let you do.
Punch after punch, you felt the anger flow through your fists, you were fuelled by every bad memory, everything he did and he just let the punches keep coming.
Your emotions got the better of you as you scream, pounding your fists against his chest as you burst into tears. As soon as this happened Jax wrapped his arms around you, dropping to his knees holding you tight.
“That’s it princess let it all out, all the anger, all the pain” he whispered rubbing your back. “I’m never gonna leave you okay, no matter what happens with me and your mum, you will always have your old man in your corner. My biggest regret is you saw everything happen, I never wanted you to feel like I loved Abel more than you, you are my little girl, my princess and I love you”
Once you had calmed down, you felt a weight had been lifted off your shoulders, you no longer felt an immense hatred towards your dad.
It had been a couple of days after the ‘fight’ and you had actually started to open up. The bike was finished and you were just putting the tools away.
“I want to drop out of college” you said “it’s really not for me, I struggle with the exams and coursework”
“You know whatever you decide I will support you” Jax smiled softly at you, hee knew where you was coming from, he was exactly the same when it came to tests and the theory behind things. “If you did drop out what would you do?”
“Actually I wanna be a mechanic” you said looking up. “Maybe I could work here”
“Why don’t you sleep on the idea and if you really want to drop out then we will get it all sorted” he said kissing your head. “Now what do you say we take her for a spin?”
“You think I’m ready for the roads” you laughed.
“You are a natural” he grinned tossing you your helmet “it’s in your blood”
The rest of the day was spent riding round the streets charming, a smile on your face and your relationship with your dad well on the road to being what it once was. Never in a million years you would have thought that restoring JT’s bike would actually restore your relationship as well.

Kirishima-Sero-Kaminari foursome
Type:  Smut
All characters are aged up to at least 21!
~
The microwave dings and I pull the scorching hot bag of popcorn out, carefully opening the bag and adding its contents to the big bowl. It took three bags to fill the large plastic bowl, but it would be plenty for the four heroes as they settled down in the living room.
Kaminari was dumping the last of the chocolate candy into a smaller version of the popcorn bowl, Sero coming from the back of his apartment with arms full of throw blankets and pillows while Kirishima fumbled with the remote.
Since I was on popcorn patrol I sat in the very middle of the single couch, legs crossed and a blanket placed in my lap before the warm bowl. Sero sat to my left and Kirishima to my right, Kaminari plopping down in the nest of pillows in front of the three. Along with a single couch was a chair in the living room, but the chair sat a ways away from the couch, so Kaminari made due.
Low rated movies were a guilty pleasure of Sero and Kaminari, who had watched them as young teenagers. As I grew closer with the pair I had been invited to join, and this will be a dozen times since I've joined in. This was the first time for Kirishima, so they had let the red-headed man pick the cheesy flick of the night.
The movie chosen was a monster film, and after turning out all the lights and locking the doors, the group settled down. The movie was at least 40 years old and had your standard family at the center of the film. As the foundation of the film plays out, everyone begins joking at the bad acting as they munched on the snacks.
The popcorn was already a third gone, and my back began to ache at the straight angle I had kept it thus far. Shifting my legs so they were sitting on Sero, I adjust my upper body until my shoulder brushes with Kirishima's. He doesn't say anything, only glances down before his eyes go back to the darkening scene on tv.
Sero shifted his body, moving my legs so they sat comfortably on him, something we've done many times before. The monster favored the darkness, and it was nearly pitch black in the room as the fictional family on tv suffered from a blown breaker.
The scene was intended to be intense, but the group snickered as the crudely made black mass of a 'monster' moved across the window in the back of the shot. "It looks like someone with black bedsheets over their head," Jokes Kaminari as he turns and attempts to toss a piece of chocolate candy into Kirishima's opened mouth.
The candy misses and lands on my arm, and as I pop it into my mouth the lights flash on, and the mother on tv shrieks. "My heart is pounding," Sero comment's with absolutely no emotion.
As the movie goes on my body eases its way down until I'm perched up against Kirishima, who glances down at me every so often. "You okay?" I ask him.
He tenses for a moment, "Y-yeah." He whispers back, shifting his arm so it was draped over the couch behind us. The family in the movie settles down for the night, and that's when the scene turns steamy. The older couple went from discussing the weird happenings of the neighborhood to the woman topless and the man licking all over her chest.
"Errr..." Kirishima mumbles awkwardly as the scene unfolds.
The pair on tv waste no time in the act of sex. loud breathy moans filling the room along with the chuckle of Kaminari, "These movies are always rated this high up cause of sex."
As the man finishes and the scene changes, Kirishima grumbles out an "I thought it was because of the scary stuff."
It took a while for Kirishima's blush to lessen, but by the time the man had finally relaxed, another woman was topless. There was a young and gorgeous woman who was going skinny dipping in the river behind the wooded neighborhood. It was twilight as the woman slowly crept into the water, her nipples grew hard and so did something else.
Sero had chosen to wear sweatpants, just like the other guys. I was wearing comfy shorts, and my bare skin could feel the bump as his cock jumped to life at the sight. The scene was changing between the naked woman, the older son of the family peeping on her, and the shadowy monster hiding in the treeline.
"Just a group of perv's" Kaminari comments as he reaches back to grab some popcorn.
"Like you wouldn't be out there looking too." I retort as I let my leg slide across the thickening dick beside me. My eyes flicker over to Sero, who's eyes are already on me. I grin at him deviously as I rub a bit firmer, shifting around as if I was getting comfy as I glide my foot down his length.
The others don't notice the teasing, and Kirishima and Kaminari both cringe at the death of the naked woman. As the son rushes home to tell his family, Kaminari snorts, "How do you explain why you were looking."
"Why was she even getting naked there in the first place?" I comment back, to which they all agree. There's a blanket over Sero's lap, but the slow rubbing of my foot on his cock was barely noticeable in the dark room.
The parents dismiss the upset son, sending him to bed as the four of us laugh, "A murder you say?" Kaminari says in a mocking voice.
"Nah you're eyes are playing tricks go to sleep!" Kirishima continues in a similar mocking voice. Sero hadn't joined in on the jokes, his mind elsewhere as I continue to tease him.
I adjust again, my head resting on Kirishima's stomach and the popcorn bowl on the floor beside Kaminari. The parents in the movie are in the kitchen now, and as they come together in a heated kiss, the monster moves outside the window.
"Oh god, here we go again." Kaminari jokes as the two once again start fooling around again. I hadn't realized Kirishima had caught on to what I was doing to Sero, who was too focused on pretending to be into the movie to notice Kirishima. I can see the dark grey sweatpants shift a little in front of me, and he awkwardly coughs as he attempts to pull the blanket higher up to cover his growing arousal.
I was already feeling a bit warm with all the teasing I had been doing to Sero, and I wondered just how Kirishima would react if I did the same. I pull my blanket up so it's covering my entire upper body, but I slip my hand from under mine and into Kirishima's.
his throat hitches but I don't stop as my hand reaches the barely hardened dick. At first, I don't move my hand, wondering if he'll do anything to stop me. When he doesn't I give the slightest squeeze, his cock twitching in return. I grow more brazen as I slowly rub my hand along his length, his cock quick to grow at the treatment given.
I've stopped moving my leg against Sero, but his cock stays hard as I work Kirishima up. The first person to speak out loud about it all was Kaminari, who had finally noticed all the rubbing going on behind him.
At first, the two guys are embarrassed as Kaminari's head whips from one to the other. Maybe it was the oversexualized movie, maybe it was because it was three strong and attractive hero's; either way, I let my body take over as I lean forward and kiss Kaminari.
As expected, Kaminari kisses back as he turns his body to face me more. Sero, his shame lessening due to Kaminari's response to my kiss, had begun to rub his hand up and down my leg from over the covers. Kirishima's dick had softened a bit at being caught, but all I had to do was place my hand back on it for him to harden fully again.
I pull my lips away, and at that moment Kirishima speaks, "S-so... are we doing this?"
I sit up and give him a kind but serious look, "Only if you want to Kiri."
The redness of his cheeks quickly travels to the rest of his face as he awkwardly rubs his neck and avoids eye contact, "I mean, yeah."
At that, I move to straddle him, Kaminari wasting no time in groping my ass as I kiss Kirishima. He seems to not know what to do with his hands, so I grab them and place them at my hips. Sero moves over to where I once sat, and I blindly move my hand until I find his cock to rub on.
Sero grabs the hem of my shirt, pulling it off and exposing my lack of bra. As I continue to kiss Kirishima, Sero and Kaminari work together to pull both my shorts and underwear off. With my core now exposed, Kaminari slides his finger up and down my wet slit. I moan into Kirishima's mouth, pushing my hips toward's Kaminari's fingers.
Blindly I tug at Sero's sweatpants, exposing his cock so that I can properly pump it with my hand. The hand on my pussy has me to the point I'm quivering, and I pull away from Kirishima and use my free hand to try and pull his sweats down.
With his help his cock springs free, and I want to drool at the size of it. He's not quite as big as Sero, but Sero was way above average(That man screams big dick energy to me). I adjust my hips and slowly drop-down, a shameless groan escaping my throat at the action.
Kaminari uses one hand to spread my asscheek, his fingers wet from my juices as he circles my tight hole, "What about here, Y/N?"
I pause, only having a few fingers there before. When I look over my shoulder, Kaminari is stroking his average cock and looking at me with near puppy dog eyes. "Do you have anything we can use for lube?"
He grins and nods, rushing off to his room. In the short moment, he's gone, I keep my eye for Kaminari but slowly slide up and down Kiri's thick cock.
He returns, his speed making his cock bounce around as he holds up a big bottle of lube. "Of course you've got something." Sero comments.
Kaminari only grins impishly as he opens the top and squirts some of the product on his fingers. At first, he rubs the cold and slimy gel around my hole, but once he glides the first finger in I begin to move on the patient Kirishima's dick.
Once he's able to slide a third finger in, he holds them there and squirts the lube on his cock, rubbing it to coat him properly. I still so that he can position himself properly, and I let out a loud gasp as the head pops in.
It's not painful thanks to proper lubrication, but I feel grateful when Sero distracts me by rubbing my chest and nipples for stimulation. Kirishima joins in, his hand slipping between us as he fumbles to find my clit, rubbing it the moment he finds it.
I put my head on Kirishima's shoulder closest to Sero, my right breast still exposed and giving just enough room for Sero to move and pluck the hardened bud into his mouth. I moan as his tongue swirls around, Kaminari slowly but steadily filling my ass with his rod. He lets out a groan when he bottoms out, and slowly pulls out until only the tip is still inside.
"Eijiro... please, fuck me." I moan, unable to do it myself with Kaminari anchoring me. His ears turn red at the brazen statement, but his hands move to my thighs as he begins to pump up into me.
I've never felt this full in my life, and the moment the two match their pace an orgasm hits me out of nowhere. My entire body shakes as I wail out, clinging onto Kirishima's shoulders.
When the orgasm passes I look to Sero, "Can you-" Kirishima hit's just the right spot, another moan coming out, "Can you sit up here?" I ask as I touch the top of the couch behind him. He does so and I shift my body awkwardly so that I can place his cock in my mouth as well.
There's no way to describe what it's like to have all three of your holes filled with cock, but the dirty pleasure was enough to rip another orgasm out of me within minutes of the first one. A mantra of "Fuck!" muffles out of my cock filled mouth, and Sero begins to stroke my hair as he watches me take him.
Kaminari becomes vocal behind me, a repeated: "Ah, ah, ah!" Coming from him before he suddenly stills, a warmth filling me as I swear I feel his cock twitch. Kirishima's eyes are focused on where our two bodies meet, his thrusting not slowing when Kaminari's did. about 20 strokes from Kirishima later, Kaminari begins to groan as he lets the movement from my body being thrust pleasure him.
I pull Sero's cock from my mouth and use his thighs to balance myself as I look over my shoulder, "Denk- aaahhh! A-are you still hard?" The blonde man only grins impishly as he jerks his cock, his cum oozing out from around his cock. I go back to sucking on Sero's dick, and the dirtiness of having cum drip out of my stretched asshole and down onto the back of my thighs eggs me on.
I try and take his cock deeper down my throat, my constant moaning vibrating onto his cock. When my body screams for air I pull away, taking a loud gulp of air before my moans of pleasure begin. I use one hand to pump him, spit and tears wetting my red face. Sero uses his hand to wipe the tears from my face before gently gripping my chin and guiding his dick back into my swollen and red lips.
Kirishima's breathe increases as his hips turn erratic, a few thrusts later and he barely pulls out before rope after rope of cum spurt onto his stomach. I could tell he was coming down from his orgasm high, so I coax Sero to sit properly on the couch. I slowly maneuvered myself to where I'm now straddling Sero, Kirishima getting up and making his way to the bathroom.
Sero sheathes himself inside me before the bathroom door closes, and he wastes no time in matching Kaminari's fast pace. Unable to do anything else, I drop my head onto his shoulder and moan like a whore. Kaminari has a firm grip on my hips as he piledrives into my beaten up asshole, Sero having one hand wrapped in my hair as he starts kissing and biting my neck. Another orgasm hits me, this time my moans turning into screams as I see spots.
Kaminari grunts and again stills, pumping a second load into my ass. 10 strokes later and Sero follows suit, filling my cunt up with his thick seed. Kaminari pulls out and slaps me on the ass before walking over to the bathroom, knocking on it to let Kirishima know he needs in.
My body goes limp and Sero takes to stroking my back gently with his fingertips as his cock, which is still deep inside me, slowly softens down.
Once the two come from the bathroom, there's a clear air of awkwardness that can only come from a situation like this. "I uh, I need to shower." I sheepishly admit, and I feel grateful as the kind Sero helps walk me into the bathroom.

Too Late: Marianne (commission for miner249er)
Chapter 9 of the commission for @miner249er
Previous Work
Last Chapter                                  Next Chapter
Summary: Marianne wanted to be back in Paris as a shoulder to cry on, as a friend, not a warning.
Marianne stepped out of doors of the train with a hesitation that felt like weights attached to her ankles. Those that saw her probably thought it was because of her age, she wished it was due to her age, but no. Her hesitation stemmed from the reason she was back in Paris at all and because of how much Paris had changed since what Fu was calling, ’the incident.’ What happened was no mere ‘incident’ and to call it that was a horrid understatement, but she supposed she understood why her love referred to it as such. Fu did what he did best, he felt guilty, and it was something she wished she could help shoulder but in the end he never let her. But this was not something he could just shoulder and deal with himself, this was bigger than them, bigger than Paris and she came to warn Fu. She just hoped he listened to her. Wang Fu was a kind man but he was a man haunted by his failures to the point that they are all he saw. He was blind to anything that wasn’t his redemption for the longest time, and it broke her heart.
Hopefully with age and everything that has happened, he was willing to have an open heart and ears. Marianne honestly didn’t know what she would do if he was drowning in his guilt and was too focused on his mistakes to listen to her warning, probably smack him upside the head like she used to do in their youth but still. She loved the man but he was stubborn when it came to self sabotaging himself, she was always the level headed (and best looking) one. As she walked the streets of Paris she couldn’t help but think of the young Ladybug she had become acquainted with the last time she had been in the City of Love. She had been a wonderful, brave, young girl. Yes she made a mistake but she owned up to it and she didn’t let the mistake weigh her down. Yes, Marinette Dupain-Cheng had been an astounding Ladybug, which made what she needed to tell Fu all the more worrisome.
Truthfully she was worried what his reaction would be the closer she came to the location they agreed to meet at. When she saw the stone steps that would lead her to the Jardin de la Vallée Suisse she almost hesitated following their path, but she simply took in a deep breath and walked. It was a beautiful park that was no doubt, but whatever joy she would have felt getting to bask in the park and the statue it housed was dampened by the pressure to share the danger she had come across and the prophecy it held. The thought made it easy to pick up speed until she saw Fu standing by the artificial pond that housed carp. The sight of him brought a smile to her face and a pang of worry to her heart.
“Hello dear.” She said softly as she moved to join him beside the pond. She noticed that they were thankfully alone in the park, though that wasn’t all that surprising given it was a bit difficult to find if you didn’t know where you were heading or were not a local.
“Marianne, hello, how was your travels?” Fu greeted with a small smile before giving her two brief kisses, one on each cheek, a gesture she returned happily.
“Well. How are you my dear Fu?”
The man beside her was silent for a while, like he couldn’t quite find the right words but eventually he did answer. “I am doing as well as I can be. It’s hard, I see her everywhere. Marinette...she truly was an extraordinary girl, I only hope she accepts my apologies when we find her.”
“It’s good you haven't lost hope.”
“It was not easy I will admit, but I see kids standing up, being heroes in her name, I see the way she touched everyone she ever met, there was no way I could give up or wallow in sadness. Not when I know I am not the only one hurting.” Fu watched the carp in the pond swim as he spoke. Marianne politely ignored the tears she saw in his eyes.
“She was a remarkable young woman.”
“Yes. I do not doubt she is still being remarkable...wherever she is. Now, what have you come here for my friend?” Fu asked as he looked at Marianne. She ignored the pang in her heart at the ‘friend’ even if she knew she held his heart and affections, she did her best to look unaffected as she looked over the swimming carp.
“Well, with Hawkmoth and Mayura dealt with I no longer have to hide, and as much as I would adore this to be a date and catch up moment, I fear I bring unsettling news to say the least.” She answered honestly, her cheeks a little warm at the admission of the date, no matter how old time told her she was, she was still that young headstrong, lovestruck girl she had been when she and Fu had met. She was sad and hesitant to break the ease of the air around them, but they would have time for pleasantries later she reasoned.
“I figured that was the case. Come, let’s sit my dear Annie.” Fu gestured over to a bench that was almost as hidden as the park itself. It was obscured by surrounding trees, just enough in the shade to be comfortable, but enough in the sun to not be chilled by the shadows. Having heard the old nickname, she happily followed and let him help her sit.
“I think it goes unsaid that even while I had to be hidden, I did not stay still.” She started after a while of them both just sitting there, letting themselves breathe in a moment of peace.
“You never could stay still. Even back then.” Back when he ran and left her behind.
“As my mother used to say, I am as stubborn as a bull, and as my old teachers would say, I can not sit still when there are things I want to be done.” Marianne chuckled fondly at old memories. “When I went into hiding, I must admit I did not want to stray far just in case you ever needed me. I did leave France, as I didn’t know the depth of Hawkmoth’s powers or if he had found ways to grow said powers. I decided to hide in London. It’s a good spot for an old bird like myself to go unnoticed.”
“You are many things Marianne, old is not one of them.”
“Flatterer.” Marianne chuckled even if she felt herself flush at the comment. “That is beside my point and you know it.”
“Perhaps.” Fu mused with a strained smile. “Perhaps I am trying to avoid the conversation we have to have, given your words and body language, it is not something that will bring joy in these trying times.”
Marianne took a moment just to look at the blue of the sky and breathe in the air before she looked at the man beside her. “It is not, but you can’t run from every bad storm that comes on the horizon. It’s better to be prepared and have shelter you know will help against the storm.” She took a hold of Fu’s closest hand in both of hers and gave it a squeeze. She could feel the tremble of his hand, no doubt mirrored by the other.
It took several moments before Fu no longer trembled, it took longer before either was ready to let go of the other’s hand, but there would be time for that later. Hopefully. “You are right.” Fu said once he found his voice.
“I always am.” Marianne quipped softly making Fu chuckle in response before his eyes found hers. She could tell he wasn’t happy, but he was as ready as he could be to hear what drove her out of hiding besides Hawkmoth’s defeat. What drove her back to him other than their romantic feelings. “I am also not one to beat around the bush. While in hiding I had to keep myself busy, as you know I am not one to dawdle. I asked the spirits around me if they needed help or if they knew of anything...sketchy, going on in London.”
“Marianne! That’s incredibly risky of you, especially when you were in hiding. I know you can’t help communicating with the spirits part, but to purposefully seek out trouble…” Fu fretted and admonished all at once. As much as it irritated her, it also impressed Marianne. Ever since she was a young girl she had been able to sense, see, and communicate with spirits, apparently this was something that all women in her family possessed so it was no surprise to her mother when a young Marianne was found to be speaking to what others only saw as air. It was around then that her mother taught her how to hone in her skills and how best to use them, of course her mother also warned her about her gift and what it could bring, but their family never ran from something and they never left someone who needed help. Even if that someone was a spirit. Especially if that someone was a spirit. It was kind of their unspoken job to help spirits out, whether to accomplish any unfinished business or simply help them pass along a message to a loved one. Some instances she even had to pass on messages not for loved ones...those ones were always the most interesting.
Sure, in her quest to help spirits she always did run into the more dangerous ones, but she never backed down. That was not how she was raised, and that was just not her. She saw a problem and she met in head on, and in that way her and Fu would always differ. “I have always been this way Wang Fu, and I always will.”
“I didn’t mean-”
“I know what you meant and my response remains the same. Now, to continue, the local spirits of course asked for help passing on messages, finding a missing item, but a couple spoke of something that intrigued me. Something that resulted in their deaths. A group. They never gave this group a name, but they all spoke similarly about it. It consists of a lot of not so nice people, people who do not have good intentions, people who purposefully seek the demise of others. It worried me that such a group was meeting and apparently it wasn’t even known by local authorities, or if it was then it was operating under the blindness of the people and the willfully negligent back of the authorities.” Marianne began as she looked out over the park, she hadn’t noticed them before but she could see wandering souls, spirits who stopped to listen to her, and she could see the spirits of the animals that once lived there going through the motions of their once-lives.
“I was worried, understandably, but the spirits merely wanted me to retrieve their belongings from this group so they could be sent to their families or wherever else they wanted. Of course I agreed,” Marianne paused for a second at Fu’s noise of indignation, “it was the least I could do for the poor souls. They showed me where this group liked to meet up, where they met them and their respective ends. It was an unassuming film studio, very professional looking, not at all the type of place you would expect a basically evil cult to meet. So I did what I did best, acted like an old woman who just found a favorite place to feed some birds. I staked the place out.”
“They...the group didn’t suspect anything?”
“Not to my knowledge.” Marianne answered honestly. “Their meeting place was in the basement, I will admit it was difficult finding a way down there without alerting anyone or being caught on camera. I say finding the hidden room was more difficult, that, that took several days. Thankfully the spirits were more than willing to lend a hand. Once in the room I took my time looking around, I had some of the more...sentient spirits on watch should anyone come down and try and enter the room. To be honest it looked like a fancy conference room more than anything my mind conjured up when I thought of some evil group lurking in the underground of a business.”
The mahogany round conference table and the red cushioned matching chairs that surrounded it while the LED lights shined off it was something imprinted in her mind. The whiteboards on the walls were more of a shock than the altar in the corner, it looked like it was made from the stump of a tree, cut tall for its purpose, the top of it was an oval shaped plate of prophecy stone. On the prophecy stone was a long tapestry that was falling off both of the wider sides, it had pulled Marianne in. The energy, sometimes it felt like it was still pulling at her, even here in Paris when she thought of it too hard. The tapestry was the whole reason she reached out and made the trip to Paris, more accurately what was on the tapestry and what it meant. Of course she took photos on her phone, and she did help the spirits get their personal items back but that was another story. Marianne took her phone out of her purse and pulled up the pictures from the hidden folder on her phone before passing the device to Fu.
At the sharp intake he made, she resumed. “Besides the spirits' belongings I found that tapestry on a pedestal of sorts that was made of prophecy stone. By the name I bet you can gather what exactly this tapestry is supposed to be.”
“A prophecy…” Fu breathed out.
Marianne nodded her head before looking forward, she knew Fu would look at the rest of the pictures as she spoke. “Not just any prophecy. One that speaks of darkness and chaos. Brought upon not only Europe, but the world by one named Jörmungandr. Fu...this group seeks the secrets of what I could translate and make out to be some sort of secret tribe of.”
“Vikings…” Fu cut in with wide eyes.
“We both know the Vikings had many tribes, many hidden and not known to us, many that knew magic, and from what I see on that tapestry there and the documents I managed to take pictures of as well, this specific tribe can summon and control daemons, demons.” Marianne clarified.
“The demons...on the tapestry, that is what the creatures are supposed to be?” Fu asked in a small voice. She could hear the dread.
“Yes.”
“They look an awful lot like...well like dragons…” Fu’s voice was tight, and honestly Marianne couldn’t blame him, when she saw the tapestry she nearly threw up from the shock and the panic. If this prophecy came true, if this secret tribe was found, the world was doomed.
“My thoughts exactly...I...I will be honest, I believe in many things, Wang Fu...but dragons had never been on the list. I have heard of people summoning daemons of many designs, but never dragons. This is...this is bigger than Paris. Bigger than France.”
It was quiet for a long time, how long? Marianne didn’t know, but it felt like an eternity. “This...this will need the help of the Miraculous.” Fu said gravely.
“I agree, which is why I brought it to you...and, well, there is more, the prophecy, this Jörmungandr...She is said to command an army of dragons, one so big it would blacken the sky as they flew. She is too bring the fire rain, the toxic smoke, the thunderous roars loud and shrill enough to crack the earth. Jörmungandr is to devour the very world.” Marianne shakily announced and Fu looked down at the pictures of the tapestry in dawning fear.
“...This will require Ladybug.” He grew paler and paler as the seconds passed. Marianne followed to do the same as she realized he didn’t truly see all that was being shown to him and her heart was squeezed painfully in an iron grip as it dawned on her she would have to point out the heartbreakingly bad news he did not see, or refused to see in his grief. But he did not recognize her guilty panic as he continued to ramble. “I will have to double down on my efforts to find Marinette! She is one of the strongest Ladybug’s in history, we will need her! I will have to study the Grimoire to see if there are any spells that can locate her and work harder with Tikki to do so. And we will create a team! Bigger and better than the past one, this will require every Miraculous I believe, and Marinette has always been such a good judge of character it probably won’t take long to form the team. I’ll have to speak with the Kwami about this as well, as well as Adrien and-”
“Fu.” Marianne didn’t shout but she said his name with such authority and urgency that he stopped his ramble and looked over at her, she wished he hadn’t because she could no longer hold in her guilt ridden tears.
“Marianne? What’s wrong? I...I understand this is a daunting thing to learn but we know now and can prepare. It will be okay, everything will be okay as soon as we find Marinette and get started on the preparations.” Fu said as though his words brought the most absolute soothing powers. It made Marianne swallow around the lump in her throat.
“My darling Fu, don’t you see? Jörmungandr is Marinette.” Marianne finally was able to announce. It didn’t make her feel any better, especially as she watched Fu look back down at her phone, up at her, back down, before he zoomed in to the figure on the tapestry and lost any color he had regained from before.
“No. No! No it can’t be her! It can’t! She is too pure to ever...to ever..”
“I think past circumstances show anything can happen, and anyone can break. But not all is lost! This is merely a prophecy! It is not written in stone, it is not written in the stars, this doesn’t have to happen...but I do agree with your earlier idea. We will need to double down, pull out every stop, every resource, and find Ms. Marinette...before what is prophesied comes true. We will need to prevent this from happening, no matter the consequences.”
“Come. I think we have much to plan...and...and I will need help telling Tikki all of this. I do not believe she will take it well if it is me who tells her of Marinette’s...possible fate.”
“I can do that. I’m here to stay, and I’m here to help. Let’s go.”
Marianne politely looked away as Fu wiped the tears off his face, they had been so silent she hadn’t even noticed them before. “Let’s.”
