To be honest I think Dmitri Dmitrievich Shostakovich is one of the best Russian composers in the music industry. Not even one of the most, he's the most. He's so talented that international fans are not ready to accept him because he's simply just so good?! Aigoo, even his looks it's not often you find Russian composers with both visuals and piano skills. And guess what?! His versatility is just one of a kind, he tends to be very unpredictable with his choice of dynamics, leaving the listeners in a spectacle of musical variety. It's not easy to predict his moves, or how he will carry out in the future. He's just the most unique, beautiful, diverse, and literate composer in the industry and don't get me started I'm not even overexaggerating it.

It's not and it will never be an exaggeration, Dmitri is one of a kind. He's everything that you need, he's everything that you should have, and he's everything that you should love. A loveable and kind pure soul, most of the musicians he worked with would always describe him as neurotic yet caring. He has a high value for music over himself, he's very balanced and meticulous. His utmost love for nature and humanity could be seen everywhere, he treats everyone with passion that could sometimes be exploitable. Even his passion compliments his intelligence.

Dmitri is very intelligent, literate, and individualistic. Let me start off with one thing, he's a walking encyclopedia of literacy. Who wouldn't love a man who has a deep respect and passion for arts and literature? And even his knowledge in Chekhov’s texts is very admirable, it's just a curiosity that he's a composer and not a professor. Aishh, when he speaks with his usual high and resonant tone everything around him feels like a concert hall. The more you will realize it, the more you will come to be curious about him.

On top of everything else that's happened in the last month or so

(girlfriend breaking up with me / me running off in the night w the friend I was supposed to be maid of honor with bc her (now ex) fiance came home drunk and scared us, while ofc we also both were in swimsuits and had like NO money or even shoes due to incredibly poor timing / Getting stuck in Dallas for TWO MONTHS longer than I meant to be due to bullshit work transfer systems (and admitedly my own inability to remember that deadlines exist) / that same friend going BACK to her shit boyfriend alone to a city 4 hours away from anyone she may call for help if things go wrong / me now no longer having a place in dallas to stay for these next 2 months bc I was SUPPOSED to stay with that friend but her bastard boyfriend doesn't want me in his house anymore bc he knows I'd tell his girlfriend to dump his ass)

I have now lost my fucking house keys.

Anyways I may or may not be way less active for a bit so this is the formal apology and explanation for that. Sorry guys, we are NOT going back to ur normally scheduled rapid fire ninja content as promised for like. A minute. Possibly. We'll see. Sometimes my own motivation wave surprises me.

Bryony's whole "you're just as bad as me" supervillain schtick is really interesting because at face value, she and Warren do have some very similar behavior patterns. Both of them have a history of making horrifying and disastrous choices, and then choosing to run from them instead of facing the consequences.

mean, Bryony will commit all kinds of crimes and claim she has nothing to hide, but at the end of the day when things look like they aren't going to go her way she always runs for the hills. First with Teddy Bears Picnic, then when she's fired from working at Red Valley. Woman knows how to make a hasty exit.

She torments Warren for his his supposed inability to take responsibility for the things he's done, but she's behaved exactly the same, probably more times than we even get to see in the show.

The thing is that their reasons for this behavior couldn't be more different. Every time Bryony hurts someone, it is a deliberate, active choice. Everything she does is premeditated. When Bryony runs away, it's because that was always the backup plan if things went south.

Meanwhile almost *nothing* Warren does is premeditated. He lashes out when he's backed into a corner, when his PTSD is triggered. When he runs it's more out of shame/blind panic than anything else. This show talks a lot about identity, and how much of who you are is within your control. When Warren actually makes conscious, deliberate choices (not just instinctual reactions) they are almost always to try and help other people. Usually Gordon, but more recently the residents at Red Valley as well. Warren *wants* to help people.

Warren hurts people when he's at his worst.

Bryony hurts people when she's at her best.

Warren's lowest moment is just Bryony's typical Tuesday. But when your mental health is in the shitter (like Warrens is most of the show) both of those look remarkably similar.

Occasional Visits

Once upon a time, there was a man who had a pit of Lazarus and was the Head of the League of Assassins. Perhaps the Lazarus is rancid ecto, and the death emanating from all of the members around to it is really starting to pull some attention.

And perhaps, one High Queen of the Infinite Realms early on had decided that, "Man, I gotta check this out." Time, of course, decides that "That would be a good precaution. Just be careful." And gives a few time portal visits.

Now, imagine those visits keep going. For the Head of the League, it is a first meeting of suspicion followed by rivalry, before the years churn along into an amicable acquaintance. For the High Queen, it is a FrootLoop who needs to be kept under watch, before years grind down the drive to continue messing with his plans and go back to managing the Realms and allowing for others to take action.

Contemplate the idea that only five years with visits for the High Queen is decades with occasional visits for the Head of the League. Maybe it is an occasion that is now greeted with a bit of celebration, for someone who he can talk too and know from the past who isn't now against him or dead.

And maybe, just maybe, he's about to get another visit. Right in the middle of something important. Who could say?

wow... what a season. it feels weird to say that this little 6-episode side quest, in all of the 19 seasons of d20, is one of my favorites they've ever done but it just is. it had all the stakes and humor and drama that you could possibly want, all balanced with an incredible cast of players. the table chemistry was excellent, the characters were so perfectly themselves, the TROPES were OFF THE CHARTS!

i can't quite remember the last time i finished something and ached so sharply for there to be more. i just know I'm gonna be thinking about this one for a long time
