It was supposed to be a simple task at your request.

Watch the cat for a couple hours while you are out doing your thing. How hard could that be?

Your cat decided that today would be the perfect time to put that to the test.

Jervis tidied up around the place.

Read a book.

Made himself a cup of tea.

Anything to make the minutes move by quicker honestly.

When it was getting close to the scheduled feeding time for your cat, Jervis called out its name.

Odd.

Nothing.

He checked the regular spots your cat liked to be in, his brows furrowing the longer it took to find it.

He can’t find the cat.

He can’t find your cat.

Your cat.

Not good. Not good in the slightest.

Confusion turns quickly to panic

“Twinkle, twinkle, little cat, oh how I wonder where you’re at!” He mutters to himself in panic.

In the middle of all this, he hears it.

A faint meow.

He freezes in his place and listens for it again.

Another faint meow.

He follows the sound. It gets louder the closer he gets to the back door.

He opens the door and looks around outside but there was nothing.

There it was again.

He looks up and the sight he sees almost makes him have a heart attack.

Your cat was on the roof, peeking its head out and staring right at him.

He’s immediately up the stairs and opening the nearest window to get to your cat before it decides to really test out its nine life.

He’s using everything in the book to grab your cat’s attention.

I’m talking, treats, random sounds, hand gestures.

Everything.

Eventually your cat gets interested and slowly struts over to him.

The minute it’s in arms reach, Jervis reaches out and snatches up the kitty.

Let’s just say he was able to get your cat down safely.

Not without getting some minor scratches as payback from your cat.

He basically chided your cat like you would a small child once there both back inside.

He fights with himself on telling you or not about what happened.

Worried that you’ll see him as an irresponsible person.

But also worried about lying to you.

Once you get back, he’s already at your feet weeping about what happened and how it was his fault and how he’s irresponsible and how he almost let your cat hurt itself and-

He shuts up when you-

laugh?

You’re laughing.

You just pat his shoulder and explain nonchalantly that it’s normal.

Hell your cats put you in the same situation multiple times.

Now he’s dumbfounded.

This was unexpected for him.

Cat sitting.

He never had a cat growing up so he wasn’t sure how it would go taking care of yours.

You quickly introduced him to your feline before giving him a hug and leaving out the door.

They kind of just stared at each other for a solid minute before your cat walked away.

Jon just shrugged and took a seat on your sofa, grabbing the nearest book.

After about an hour, he noticed he hasn’t seen your cat ever since you left.

He gets up and starts wandering around your place, looking in small spaces where he assumes your cat would be.

He starts getting uneasy the longer he searches.

He’s searching your bedroom when he hears a meow.

He glimpses around the room in confusion before looking up and low and behold, there’s your cat.

On top of your wardrobe closet.

“How in the..”

The breath that he had been holding in was finally released.

He goes over to the wardrobe and holds out his arms but your cat doesn’t move a muscle.

Just stares.

“Seriously?!”

He lets out a deep sigh, going to the kitchen and grabbing a small baggie of treats you had shown him earlier to give your cat if needed.

When he walked back into the room, your cat perked up at the sight.

Jon smirked at that, taking out a couple and holding them up high enough but not too close.

The second your cat reached out a paw, Jon grabbed your cat and hugged it close to him.

“Got ya!”

Your cat just scowls at him for the rest of the evening until you get back.

He doesn’t find it a serious concern to tell you considering your cat isn’t hurt but, he might let it slip out though a couple weeks later.

It’s me again. Hi.

So my favorite artist BoyWithUke (yes, he’s the guy who sang Toxic and went viral in 2022 on Tik Tok) has some songs that are very Percabeth coded, and I wanted your opinion on them. I’m only going to do five, but he has a lot more, and a lot more that apply to different characters.

The first one is Falling for You. There isn’t anything specific about it, it just reminds me of them.

The second one is called Bad Things, and it’s kind of what I hc things were like Post-Tartarus. He also said in an insta post he wrote it about his girlfriend when he was going through a time of severe anxiety/panic attacks, and it just felt very Percy. (I’m actually writing a fic about it)

The third one is called Camouflage, and it reminds me a lot of Annabeth in the first five books. Some of the lyrics are just so fitting.

The fourth one is Hazel Eyes, which applies a lot more to the show version, but also just had those same vibes as them.

The fifth one is Prairies. It goes back and forth between him and another singer (so boy and girl) and it’s so Percabeth it’s crazy.

Honorable mention goes to Tired of Wanting You. It’s kinda Percy in the og books, but if he was a little more aware that he liked her lol.

the 2nd one was SO good! the lyrics are amazing. the internal conflict is so percy

same thing with the 3rd one. it definitely gives annabeth vibes, and how she carried the burden of knowing the prophecy and meanwhile was faling for percy. the lyrics “you’re making it worse, but i want to see you again” is so similar to percy saying “I was glad to be with her, but it also kind of hurt, and it hurt when I wasn't with her, too.”

i really like the 5th one with the back and forth! this was probably my 2nd favorite!

honestly my favorite was the honorable mention lol, tired of wanting you. it actually gave me the most percabeth vibes. because in BotL and TLO they are both just so angry and frustrated all the dam time because they have such big feelings for each other but aren’t acting on them.

LIke japan could potentially get together with anybody under the right circumstances except prussia lol even if they were trapped in alkatraz together for 18 years he would never be prussia's prison boyfriend he just doesnt have the capacity to love him. and its really funny because prussia is literally the only mf who has the capacity to feel romantic love towards japan in a twist of horrible fate because japan pissed off cupid in his past life and will never ever fucking win at romance. The only conceivable way is if he asked out prussia but prussia is the only mf he would rather die a virgin with while stranded on an island for 3000 years with than fuck and try to repopulate the planet with yaoi babies. so yeah they compell me a lot in this sense because this is fucking hilarious and amazing and I'd like for them to act pitying to eachother about their crushes on italy bc they're like "mhm mhm yeah you have a chance (lying)" even though they both strapped in the same jigsaw trap lawl. but I dont think i ship them because of what i said above. thank you for sending this though this was some really good shit to think about and i think ill draw them interacting more because this is an incredible discovery.... best discovery since alfred wagner and the tectonic plates !

but megumi and infidelity… goes a bit too hand in hand i fear. especially megumi as your best friend… he couldn’t care if your current boyfriend lives or dies, so there is no moral weight on his shoulder knowing or acting on being in love with you. him being in love with you/dating in his head so true… you are not just single to him if you’re in a relationship with someone else, you are, inevitably, going to choose him and honestly, he’s getting tired of waiting for you to realize that he’s right for you; no matter how good of a match your boyfriend might be for you, the simple truth is megumi is a better match. you can realize that on your own, your boyfriend can realize that for himself, or megumi can step in and help you <3
