I finally read Boyfriends… and that’s IT?? Thats what made so many people hound the creator with all sorts “-ising” verbiage? It’s just like a cute, romcom strip comic of four guys in love. Like, the author still got shit on even now over the comic and that made me wonder, like, ‘why do people hate it so much?’

Despite already being on his side (because, you know, harassment is bad), I only binge read it recently and I like it quite a lot.

Even the whole “choccy milk” thing, which caused a lot of noise bc ofc that’s the perfect thing to zero in on when you want to label a webcomic as ‘fetishising’, made sense in the context of the story.

I read it expecting, idk, a wecuwwing chawactew speakinh wike this fow the whowe stowy. Which would be a choice that I would understand would turn many readers away, although that still doesn’t make the harassment okay.

But NO. It’s just the perfectionist student archetype being overwhelmed one day and cuddling with his boyfriend, acting cute and spoiled.

Im kinda questioning if anyone told solar or moon about nexus being locked up

Heck i dont even know if lunar or earth knew about it.

The only one who know about this are Sun, Monty and Jack.

I believe Jack thinks that solar already knows and if not then idk.

Here is what im talking about (Recap)

Nexus was planning to kill either bloodmoon or ruin to change their dimensionl energy with solars so solar has a "spot" to fill

Nexus chose bloodmoon for that "sacrefice" and everyone was against it. Saying that solar wouldnt want him to kill someone for him,that it is a bad idea and all. After a while they saw nexus as a "threat" (ig) so they had to take action. Puppet let Sun do something cause nexus is his brother and sun has the right here to "choose" what to do with him. Sun proceded to lock nexus up in a cell commanding the computer to shock nexus whenever he tried to escape. Later on monty came by to check out if moon was retrievable and if he wanted to come back, nexus told monty he wasnt allowed inside his head , that didnt bother monty tho. He commanded the computer to shock nexus until he was uncouncious wich it did. Monty talked to moon inside nexus's head and both agreed on getting moon out was the best option here.

K so that happened.

Here is what i got to observe

Moon comes back, apolegized to sun. Sun tells moon about everything that happend. Just kinda in short.

I mean sure maybe sun left some stuff out, probably some stuff that made nexus seem like a victim here. Obviously moon isnt gonna question that, he trusts his brother and believes his word over others. I mean all moon knows is that nexus had so many thoughts at once and then suddendly it was silence. So i think he tried to put two and two together with what he heard and his conclusion, "yup, that guy went insane".

Thats practically mooms forst impression of nexus.

Minus him being able to personally talk to nexus inside their head, he briefly got to see how nexus WAS like.

Solar on the other hand CLEARLY wouldnt just take anything for an answer.

Seeing his reaction solar obviosuly wanted to know EVERYTHING that happened. Here is why i think sun didnt tell him about nexus being locked up. Solar would NEVER just brush that off as if its a normal thing. Solar once mentioned that he dosent like rooms (ep. When he first came to that dimension asking nexus if he could move in) and that was told in a way of like idk kinda giving off that he was probably locked inside a room or put inside a room to be "abused" by his moon (since some people theorize that and it sounds like something that could have happened im gonna be assuming it actually happened). So as someone who was locked away himself he wouldnt just see that as something you can do to everyone. I mean sure sun probably told him that nexus had a breakdown for solar, nexus went insane for solar, nexus wanted to kill for solar but never have i EVER seen sun mentioning nexus was treated like shit. And yes people could say "but maybe he said it off screen" MF SOLAR WOULD STILL NOT SEE THAT AS A GOOD THING. HELLO?

As messed up as it sounds and idc if people hunt me down for this. I feel like sun only mentioned the parts that makes HIM sound like a victim here, and nexus as the bad evil guy.

Yes maybe i am getting to far with this but ot really just seems like the only logical thing for me.

People say that when moon put sun in that magical box was a bad thing. But when sun does it to nexus its suddendly a good thing? Sun also almost went through slme sort of search for one person to KILL and we justify that but when nexus does it it suddendly people are like "yeh you cant do that, killibg is bad bohoo"

And trust me i am seeing it from both sides, Sun KNOWS how bad that feels like and STILL did it to nexus. Thinking its a good thing, are you fucking kidding me?

I also need to say this for anyone who may read this who is an Reboot Soap fan but is into captain Soap as of late --- READ. THE JOURNAL. WITH CAPTAIN MACTAVISH IN YOUR HEAD. It just CLICKS so much more and makes the captain even more fascinating.

First time i read the journal i had reboot soap in my head and rereading it and connecting it to the captain's actual experience and thoughts is just chefs kiss. Sounds obvious, but have a feeling certain peeps may do the same thing as me.

In the journal you get so many insights of soaps care and devotion to Price and it just adds so much... depth. and its very endearing to read.

I love the reboot characters but the OGs are just so... endearing overall. they really stick to you. and personally theyve stuck to me way more than the reboot ones, even though i love the reboot, dont get me wrong.

Lastly -- Roach. This guy..... u just hear him grunt, and yet somehow still manages to get you. For me its also reading soaps journal, the way he refers to him, looks after him, describes his achievements and struggles, you see Roach fleshing out in that way too. And hes just interesting, and i think its so great they integrated this character alongside Price and Soap who youre already so familiar with and care for - cause when in turn THEY care for Roach, it makes Roach really stand out.

Guess i should say something about OG Ghost too -- dont got too much, but i thought i'd find him bland when compared to the reboot, but for what he is in the og games, i find him likeable. i like his voice and the personality that comes through them. because we know his past, but we also know the reboot ghost's personality, og ghost kinda stands in the middle and makes you wonder when you see this more / slightly more emotional side thats not as reserved and cold as reboot ghost. dont even know if im making sense, but bottom line is, i like og ghost as well.

i think the series is taking inspiration from different art movements and genres. season one - surrealism?, season two - modernism?, season three - baroque? im not well versed on this stuff but i definitely noticed they use different forms of art to make the seasons feel different from one another

piggybacking off the earlier bulletin; i think thats also why this season feels like all flash and no substance. whatever movement or era they decided to do with season three is very ou la la oui oui i zam an artist bonjour /nm its very different from the movements they went with in the past seasons. this one feels serious and fancy smancy

i still think they’re going to go through with sydcarmy and this season just solidifies it. syd and carmy are severly mentally ill with issues they need to work out. they dont handle stress and expectations well if at all.

i think some of the things being said by the characters are being taken at face value specifically carmy calling claire peace. i dont think the writers are writing claire to be a source of peace for carmy; hes just so in denial and confused about his emotions he knows he supposed to feel peace from claire but cant figure out why he doesnt

i missed marcus sweeps and tina in this season so much. and syd! i was excited for sweeps to go to wine school only for it to be a one off thing. the tina episode was good but thats the only thing i can think of from the top of my head that she stood out in. marcus’ mom died? but it feels like she didnt die at all? like the weight of his moms death isnt being felt in his character and that made me really sad. i wanted a little more with syd and marcus with their moms :/

im not angry at carmy somehow? i just feel this deep sadness because he is so unlike himself. my initial frustrations with the season made it hard for me to look at his character. now that ive calmed down, he just makes me sad. like thinking about him makes me feel like a wet sausage dude he needs serious help and im scared he’s gonna do something very bad in this next season/part

Guyss I'm back from my trip did you miss me.

Err yup I was going camping at this lake place and I was soso worried bcuz HELLO. LAKE. I cannot swim, just. The whole idea makes me cry. So yes I was very worried, I had a panic attack before we left, but lowkey I was just nudged off the floor and told to stop, like oh, whoops I'm sorry. the whole thing is very stressing, we were going with my whole family plus some relatives, camping for three days.

It actually ended up not being too awful!!! Guys I'm so happy about that.

FRROOHG. Frog, frog I found a frog!! HE WAS BIGG. Big frog. I was so excited.

fossils!! Wow, isnt that neat! They felt really cool.

The water was pretty! Quite murky, a lot of algae. But really nice in some areas. I went wading and skipped some stones. They had very very good skipping stones, so many nice flat ones. Oh, and there was alot of driftwood! I messed around with that for a while. Some other kids had made a sort of makeshift tepee with the driftwood!, impressive.

Heres the rotting fish I got a picture of!!! There were so many, like 6 of them. But whenever I found em, I didn't have my phone, so when I did have it most of the fish corpse had already been eaten or whatever. I saw one thats head had been picked empty!! I also found the spine of one of them. My grandfather said the fish are sheepshead fish, idk if hes wrong or not.

That's all the pictures I can share. I did find some dead mice and a baby preying mantis, a red cardinal (Male and female!), a cuckoo, alot of swallow, and alot of cool dog breeds. (Alot of bunnies and cool bugs too.)

Anyway. I got sunburnt really badly <\3 and alot of bug bites. But it was pretty great, I think.

I also flirted with a guy. Lol? I didn't like him or anything, but I dunno I was feeling stupid and my sister encouraged it. He was too awkward to really say much back lolll.
