Abby heard your door close, knowing it was time for you to leave for your flight. She froze as if you didn’t know she was in her living room listening to every move you made on the other side of the wall. Your footsteps traveled to be placed silently in front of her door and halted just as you knocked. “Abigail?”
She concentrated on the purr of your voice vibrating against the wooden door.
“Abby, I’m leaving, um, you probably are sleeping or — I don’t know, anyways, I left you some stuff so you could feel less alone while I’m gone. Um, it’s stuff I think you'd like. I know it’s not going to solve anything but let’s talk soon. Please.”
You wait for the knob to turn, for the door to open and reveal the stubborn woman, anything, but it never happens. On the other side, Abby was standing with her hand on the door frame, absorbing your voice into her consciousness, missing you more than ever. She so badly wanted to open it and hold you, and assure you she was just being stupid, but she wasn’t ready for it.
She waited a few minutes before opening the door to reveal a small tote bag heavy with glass. Abby wrapped her hand around the handle and peered out the door as if she would find you in the hallway, waiting for her. The bag was filled with an assortment of miss-match containers, housing different food items with post-its describing each one. Turkey, Mac and Cheese, Stuffing, Brussels sprouts, and Cranberry Sauce. She traced the delicate intricacies of your handwriting that she had seen many times before, but especially now seemed special. She removed the sticky paper and placed it on her dining table, placing the corresponding container above it.
In the following days Abby received every text message you sent her, she simply didn’t care to read them beyond the notification on her screen. Her anger boiled more and more, irritated at your persistence while simultaneously needing it as reassurance that you still care.
abby, i’m sorry. let’s talk, call me please.
hey, getting on the plane now so i can’t talk for the next two hours.
just landed, i can call soon if that’s what you want.
all ready for bed.
Attached was a photo she felt tempted to look at but didn’t. Her phone rang multiple times throughout the day with your name on the caller ID. She didn’t feel compelled to decline it, she let it ring until the ringtone stopped. She did exactly what she said she was going to do — study. She knew it was the one thing she could wholeheartedly commit to now.
In the middle of studying her phone rang over five times and one notification for a voicemail appeared on the screen. She looked at your name on her phone, held a deep breath in her chest, and listened to a voice softened by tears.
“Abby, hi. Just thinking about you and I know I’m the last person you want to hear from,” You paused. “I want us to talk. I just… I miss you.”
Abby stopped the message and set her study materials aside, quickly pressing play again. “I miss you. I wish we were together right now. I’m going to make this right, I promise. Please, just give me some time.”
Abby brought her fist up to her dripping nose and tightened her mouth into a thin line. The feelings that she had for you were inescapable. Her heart collapsed in her ribcage, smashing against the paper bones that felt like they were cracking as she dabbed the tears floating in her eyes. She went to all the unread messages and saw the photo of you lying in your childhood bedroom with an all-white long john set and a modest smile on your face. Your eyes were puffy, or was she imagining it? She wanted you to break apart like she was. Abby observed your grin, that revealed a more narrow sadness that she could place on her own mouth.
We can talk when you return.
You shuffle down the familiar hallway, bags in hand, trembling with uncertainty you quickly identified as a fear of losing Abby. Your flight left you disheveled and bubbled with anxiety, making you stop in the bathroom before calling an uber, and polishing yourself up. But no time in the bathroom could remove the dark circles under your eyes or take away the sadness you harbored.  You were fearful that if you waited a moment longer she’d forget about you — so you held your duffle and carry on, hastily knocking at a door that was once always unlocked for you.
Abby pulled on the handle revealing her pristine appearance. Blonde hair tied into a braid, attached to the middle of her head, cascading down her spine. Her lips were moisturized, plush, pink, and waiting to be kissed. She clasped her hands in one another, arms bulging out of her black tank top clinging to her even skin. As a formality, she gestured for you to sit down as she took your bags effortlessly. After setting them down on the table she joined you on the couch, legs crossed in thick grey sweats.
“I missed you.” You admit, inching closer to her.
“I did too. I missed you too.” She said shyly, slightly shrugging.
You walk your fingers to her knee and rest them there, embarrassed.
“So, I’m sorry Abby—”
“No, all of this is my fault. I was tipsy and out of line, I misconstrued your feelings for me. I shouldn’t have pressured you to just get rid of Ellie. Instead, I should have explained to you how much I really like you. And maybe my inexperience just made me want you even more… Like, I can’t do casual, or I mean I never had the opportunity to. I just… I wanted more with you — I want more with you. I don't wanna share you.” She ropes her pinky into yours.
“My sweet Abby,” You sigh, cupping her jaw. “I should have paid more attention.”
“I think I could have been more clear on what I wanted out of you, y’know out of us.”
“I like you Abby and a part of me likes Ellie too. She’s fun and that was my appeal to her, knowing I didn’t have to get roped into something complex or serious. But I like you…so much, you’re all I could think about when I was away. I’m not used to anyone wanting me this way.”
“I want you. I only want you.” She smiled.
“You do?”
“So much, I want you to be my girlfriend, seriously. Do you want that?”
You freeze at the question, making Abby recede into herself briefly, face dropping into a premature frown.
“I don’t know how good of a girlfriend I could be to you. I don’t want to make you feel how I did that past week.” She leans closer and kisses the backside of your hand.
“That’s inevitable, we will have times where things go the opposite of what we want, that’s okay but we need to be on the same page. Do you want this?”
You feel a rock drop to the bottom of your stomach.
“Abby I don’t know if I can fully say that I want that in this moment. Can I think about it?”
“Of course you can.”
She leaned in, using your thighs for leverage, resting her lips against yours. You melt into her sweet, strawberry-glazed lips, relishing her taste. Being away from her made a week feel like a year and you savored this kiss intending to remember it for later. Your hands come up to her neck and pull her in, pushing your tongue past her teeth and into her mouth, eliciting a moan. It was deep and from her core, exposing how much she missed you. She presses her hand on the back of the couch, the other one behind you on the arm, unfolding her legs and laying on top of you. She lifted her far leg so that it was hanging off the edge of the couch, crotch pressed against the top of your thigh, her body weight crushing you sweetly.
Abby’s hand comes up the side of your ribs making you shutter. Her rough fingertips leave pale imprints on your warm skin. You lift your hips into her core and she moans into your left ear. A sweet blow of air and arousal fills your space causing the parting of your lips to replicate the pleasure. “I missed this.” Her raspy voice rang.
You reach in the band of her sweats and brush her abdomen towards her clit. No panties. Her thighs were damp with sweat, her lips wet with slick and you wasted no time parting them. Abby wrapped a fistful of your hair into her hand and tugged, leaving your mouth agape from the sudden aggression.
“Fuck me.” She demanded.
You feel your pussy clench. Abby's change in demeanor put a bit of fear in you, knowing the woman was strong enough to have her way with you at any moment.
“Come on. Fuck me.”
Her hand unravels from your hair to your jaw to open your mouth. Her lips purse to expel a string of spit which you accept happily. Her lips were sloppy, smacking into yours as she stroked her clit against your fingers, hunching for more contact. You lifted her shirt up to reveal a light pink lace bralette, exposing her erect nipples. You bring your lips to the fabric, and she trembles. She removes the lace top and forces the stiff bud between your teeth, making her wince as you lean back, biting and stretching it. Her pussy left tacky, wet splotches in her pants.
“Let me get my strap.” She said, moving away quickly. You watch her firm ass switch from side to side while she marches to her bedroom. You sit up, mouth wet with desire, not hesitating to remove your bottoms.
The black harness houses a clear dildo that curved upwards, just how Abby liked it, reaching for her g-spot. She handed it over to you to strap on and laid back on the couch. Her eyes became hungry as she saw your perfect body displaying the new appendage. You walk towards her dripping with irrefutable sexual appeal before ripping off her bottoms and beginning to finger her pussy.
“Don’t tease me. I’m already wet.”
You climb on the couch, slipping the curved cock inside, splaying your body weight on top of her. Her skin blushed as she cupped the back of your ass, reaching to bring you closer. Her cunt filled the room with obscene sounds that made yours shake with anticipation.
“Please.” She repeated.
“Please what?” You asked, catching her off guard amid moans.
“Make me cum.”
Abby’s groomed fingernails dragged along the outer rim of your back. She started raising her hips and fucking against you, her grip became deadly, indicating she was close to cumming. Abby loved the sounds of your grunts in her ear, knowing the strap was bruising your clit, making you needy too. Abby’s eyes retreated into her skull but returned quickly to your sightline as you extract the cock from her cunt. The clear plastic became covered with opaque gloss, leaving Abby twitching and kneeling over.
“Fuck you.” She laughed, short-winded.
The strong woman laid on her stomach and began arching her back. Her smooth, florescent skin wrapped around each muscle beautifully. You rub her ass, starting from the midpoint of her back to the underside of her bottom. Abby whimpered at your gentleness only to be startled by an impulsive slap, instantly turning her pink. Your finger hovers over her lips, spreading them open like petals of a soft rose, examining how perfect her pussy is while it’s dripping.
“You really missed me huh?”
“I did. I missed you sooo much.” She whined, completely transforming unsuspectingly submissive. You reach under her and thump her clit with your palm to which she yelps. She stretches like a kitten and curves her back even more. Another slap and she throws her head over the arm of the couch where she begins to reside at.
Without warning you plunge your index and ring finger inside of her making your name spill out of her mouth. You curve your fingers to hook behind her pelvic bone, petting the sweet sponge inside of her. All you could think about was how she embarrassed you, ignored you until the last minute, and left your mind wondering. This motivated you to fuck her even harder, and you started to believe this is what Abby wanted all along.
“I can—can’t take it, ple—” She struggled to form a coherent sentence.
She reached her hand back to stop you from going any deeper. You snatched her thick wrist into your hand and pinned it onto her lower back. You positioned your leg on the cushion and slipped the dildo into her. Abby never felt so overwhelmed with pleasure. The constraints you put on her made her mentally weak, leaving her immobilized. The pain made her numb and left her humming uncontrollably. You weren’t even stroking her pussy but pounding it until the skin impacted by the strap transformed from peach to lilac. Abby’s mouth was wide open, gasping for air as a knot tied itself in her stomach.
“Let—le— l—me, cum, I—”
The blabbering woman stiffened as an orgasm came over her body. But that didn’t stop you from milking her cunt into overdrive. She hoisted herself up on the arm, but you refused to let her run away. Your hands came to her hips and brought her to her breaking point, again. Your name filled her cozy apartment like sweet music. You pull out, leaving her gaping and dripping, leaving a delicious view. Exhausted, you fall back on the other end of the couch. Abby rolls over, legs agape, head thrown back, chest rising and falling quickly. Her cunt was bright red and abused, just like she deserved.
“Satisfied?” You spit.
She lifts her head, hair disheveled, and smiles at you with a sinister grin.
“I didn’t know I could cum that many times,” She admits.
Her eyes darted to the cock still strapped on your hips, covered in her cum. She bent over and placed her head on your thigh, parallel to the dildo. You brush her messy hair out of her face just before she wraps her lips around it and sucks it clean. You didn’t know how attractive it could be to see her in this way, with her eyes locking into yours, moaning at her own actions, making your cunt wetter.
“Let’s have a shower.” She offered.
The water ran warm onto your neck and lower body as Abby’s tongue traced circles into your neck. Her wide hands wrapped around your wet waist, desperate for more of you.
“I missed you even though…” She began to whisper.
“Even though?”
“You pissed me off, and made me emotional.”
She pulls away from your ear and brushes the tip of her nose against your cheek with her tongue following shortly behind, melting into a kiss.
“I know, you’re my needy, emotional girl.”
You slick her drenched hair back and thumb her forehead. Her body comes forward to smash you against the cold tile with a thud. She slides her hand over your belly to your throbbing clit. “For a minute, I actually hated you. I wanted to rip you apart.” She groaned.
“Here’s your opportunity, Abigail.”
Abby wraps your leg around her waist to get a better angle. She hovers her lips over your mouth, teasing you as you close your eyes to lean in for a kiss. She giggles at how ridiculous you look. Then, she presses her teeth into your skin, followed by soothing kisses down to your breast. She puckers her lips around your areola, with her eyes gazing up at you, filled with fury. Just as she’s about to stick her tongue out, her fingers replace her mouth and tug on the puffy buds. You press your back deeper into the tiles as if you could sink into them.
“Can I ask you something?”
“Anything.” You wince while her fingers hold onto your pebbled nipples.
“After you sent that photo, you touched yourself didn’t you?” She jerks your nipples.
“Ah—ah, I— I did before I took it.”
“What did you think of?” She asked.
“You, I thought of you,” you replied.
Her tongue slithered out of her mouth to flick your nipple. “Keep going.”
“You… you were kissing me, all… over…”
“Hmmm.” Her lips puckered and suctioned.
“I just. I, Abby,” you moaned.
“If you stop, I stop.”
“You were kissing me w—with my hands tied… tied up,”
She moved to your other breast and sucked, causing your hole to clench around nothingness.
“Abby, I imagined you fucking me until my legs went limp.”
She smiled and brought herself back to your lips, kissing and biting them with no care.
“Even at odds, I’m still on your mind.”
She inserts her fingers into you slowly, stretching you out. You grip onto her shoulders for stability as she begins to pump in and out of you. She spreads her legs to ground herself and thrusts her fingers deeper inside of you, pounding the fat of your pussy, creating a slapping noise in rhythm with the beating shower.
Abby bared her teeth as she increased her speed. She was grunting like she was in the gym doing a challenging set, mumbling words you were too sexually drunk to decipher. The water fizzled into a heavy steam, crashing into your wrinkled skin and creating a thick haze above your head. The humidity left you faint as Abby worked harder to make you cum with no comfort — all in her timing. Suddenly, she let go of the leg she had been hoisting up and wrapped her hand around your throat. Your moans became light and airy as you gasped for relief.
“You’re mine. You know that right?” She declared.
You nodded as you came up on the wave of sexual bliss. Your knees fell together, weakening as the woman continued to cockily spit at you, a side of her you never knew before.
“I’m the only one who can fuck you like this. I don’t give a fuck, no one else will ever make you cum like this.”
And that’s what you did, cum, with a deep primal groan accompanying it. She continued to stroke your pussy, until you caught your breath, just before she fell to her knees in the tub to lick up the mess she created. The curve in the bridge of her nose made a unique friction against your sensitive clit while her tongue slid up and down your folds. You turned the water off, and the both of you ran to the bedroom before the cool air caught up to you.
Abby dried her body and hair with a nearby towel and passed one to you. She flopped onto her mattress, with her head wet onto her jersey pillowcase awaiting your body.
“Are you still mad at me?” You ask.
“Nothing a little cuddling could fix. Come ‘ere.” She said.
You straddled her waist to lay down on her soft, hot body and tucked your mouth into the crook of her neck. Abby placed her hand on the back of your neck and smoothed out your baby hairs there. She adjusted her body underneath you, unintentionally pressing her mound into yours, extracting a slight gasp from your throat.
“You okay?” She asks.
“Yes.” You mutter. She lifts upwards again, spreading your legs apart and exposing your clit. You look at her sly grin, she mimics you and spreads her legs open as well. You lay down onto her shoulder, breath hitting her neck, and buck your hips into her, your clit being tickled by the blonde’s low-trimmed pussy. You two perform a dance, following an unspoken choreography, pressing your cunts into each other.
“I need you.” Abby moans.
You guide Abby’s knees to her chest and turn so your ass is in her view, straddling her leg, spreading your slits open with your fingers, and placing your cunt onto hers — hot and needy. The wave of your ass brushing against her pussy made her mouth fall open in disbelief. Abby tucks her hands behind her head as she watches you use her pussy like a pillow and hump it freely just as she likes it.
“Fuck, Abby.”
Abby blushed at your words, watching your hips move like water, eyes closed and getting lost in the pleasure.

no, don’t ask! | satoru gojo
the clock ticked like a timed bomb waiting to go off, satoru was in his chair bouncing his leg biting his nails.
he was ready, he was ready to devour you, give you up to the gods and strip you, smell your scent, spread your legs, finger-
“i’m home.”
“babeeee.” satoru says hopping up from his chair and running to the front door, there you were all snuggled up in your coat carrying your bags.
he slid a bag from off your arms beaming at you, your scent entering his nose and waking up his junior downstairs.
you cock your eyebrow at his demeanor but brush it off as satoru being satoru, you put your bag on the floor and close the door.
“i think it’s going to snow, it’s freezing out.” you muffle out, taking off your scarf and shoes.
satoru smirks at you leaning against the wall, his arms folded against his chest.
“i believe so, i’m hoping a certain someone could warm me up.” he says wiggling his eyebrows up and down.
you make an exaggerated gagging sound and strip off your jacket, satoru’s eyes bulging out his head when he sees your figure.
he’s been waiting for this, waiting for you.
you’ve been so busy with work, leaving the house all the time, going on business trips, you haven’t made time for him, but all that’s going to change.
you remove the hat from your head putting it on the coat rack and taking a big stretch.
satoru clears his throat walking closer to you, bringing his hand up and cupping your cheek, you’re warm.
he’s looking at you, his eyes tracing every area of your face, then landing on his favorite part, your lips.
“i’ve been waiting for you. i’ve craved you for weeks.” he whispers out, only loud enough for you to hear it.
you smile at him bringing your hand to his face and gently rubbing your thumb across his cheek, he’s cold.
“no, don’t ask.” you say, walking down the hall into the kitchen, he’s flabbergasted, appalled, shocked.
“you don’t turn me down!” he yells out, stomping after you like a child.
you scoff walking into the kitchen flinging the refrigerator open, your eyes tracing over everything in there.
“and who the hell are you.” you mutter out grabbing the turkey meat pack and stuffing some in your mouth.
“uh your husband, soulmate, companion, need i say more?” he’s pouting and rolling his eyes, his foot tapping the floor repeatedly.
“there’s a reason we haven’t had sex. you’re too rough and don’t know when to stop.” you muffle out in between chews.
his jaw drops and he flails his arms around whining, you weren’t wrong. every-time in bed he would get carried away, not his fault you felt too good.
“but… but you should’ve told you me!” he cries out, walking towards you shaking you back and forth.
“i have you fucking lunatic.” you stuff another piece of meat in your mouth as he continues to shake you.
sex was a given in a relationship but not with you, you easily revoked it, that’s the only way you could get his behavior in order.
“okay okay i’m sorry. i’ll be gentle, i promise.” he whines out putting his hand back on your cheek and caressing it.
you look at him with a deadpan expression chewing the remaining bit of food you had in your mouth.
a promise is a promise, so why not.
you nod your head and close up the meat putting it back in the fridge.
with no warning satoru lifts you up putting you over your shoulder and giving your ass a slap and licks his lips.
“great, cause i’ve been waiting for you all day.” a chuckle erupting from his lips.
you roll your eyes and just lay there, you already know he’s going to forget his promise in a few seconds.

The One Where He Puts His Foot in His Mouth | Rooster x Reader
Summary: Bradley takes his stress out on you, and you let him know that's unacceptable.
Warnings: Angst and Smut
Length: 3100 words
Pairing: Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x Female Reader
This was written to accompany my series Is It Working For You?
Check my masterlist.
Tumblr media
Bradley was feeling stressed out. He had moved everything from the barracks into his new house, and there were boxes all over the place. The new furniture he ordered was scattered in every room, waiting until he had time to assemble it. The clutter was killing him, setting his nerves on edge. He usually liked to keep a very tidy living space.
And on top of that, you had agreed to move in with him in December, just a few weeks from now. He wanted you here, he really did, but you'd already moved some of your random stuff in, just adding to the mess.
So he collapsed on the couch to collect his thoughts while you cooked dinner in the kitchen.
"I have a great idea, Roo! How about we have some people over for a Friendsgiving dinner the day after Thanksgiving? We can cook our turkey that day instead! It'll be so fun!"
He grunted from the couch. It really didn't sound like all that much fun to him, but he definitely wasn't going to tell you that. "Maybe just Phoenix and Bob?" he suggested, tossing an arm over his eyes.
"Yeah, I guess I'll see who is available," you told him happily. "This will be great. We have a week to plan everything."
------------------------------------------
Thanksgiving was the best holiday Bradley could remember experiencing in his life. He spent it with you. Only you. He had fun helping you make a lasagna since you were saving the turkey for when Phoenix and Bob came over for dinner tomorrow. Then you snuggled with him on the couch, let him watch football for a few hours, and gave him a blowjob. By the time dinner was ready, you had opened two beers, set the table and called him over to eat.
"I love this domestic shit, Baby Girl. Living with you is going to be awesome," he told you as he pulled you onto his lap at the dining room table.
You laughed and gave him a kiss before pulling your plate closer and taking a bite. "I can't wait to be fully moved in with you in just a few more weeks."
Bradley took a bite as well and groaned, because everything you cooked was always delicious. "Gonna be perfect. Just like this, every day. You and me. No fights. Just sex and happiness."
"Sounds good, Roo."
-----------------------------------------
The following day, Bradley had to report to base for the morning, but you were off for the whole day. You had slept over and got right to work in the kitchen first thing, making Friendsgiving dinner. He popped in to get some coffee as he was leaving.
"This looks like a lot of food, Baby Girl," he commented as he filled his travel mug.
"Does it? I was thinking it might not be enough."
Bradley looked around at the ten pound bags of potatoes, boxes of stuffing mix, bundles of carrots, and piles of baking supplies. He could barely see his kitchen counters.
"I mean, I guess you're the expert," he told you with a kiss to your temple. "I'll be back after lunch."
But when he returned from work, he was even more baffled. The house smelled incredible, but there was so much damn food. You had five pies lined up on the table, timers were going off, disposable bakeware filled the island, and you looked very frazzled.
"Need any help, Sweetheart?" he asked cautiously.
"No, I'm good. Everyone will be here in about an hour."
Bradley scratched his head. "What do you mean by everyone? It's just Phoenix and Bob, right?"
You turned slowly to look directly at him. "No.... it's a few more people than that, Roo. Weren't you listening the other night when I told you that?"
"Listening when? The night I was putting together all of the furniture I bought?"
"Maybe?"
"Well no, Y/N, I probably wasn't paying too much attention to this Friendsgiving thing. Because I thought it was just Phoenix and Bob."
You looked a little panicked, and Bradley immediately felt bad. He ran his hand through his hair. "I just wanted to get the house in order before we had a bunch of people over, but I'm sure it's fine. Don't worry about it. I'm going to get a shower and get dressed before they arrive," Bradley mumbled as he stalked into the bedroom which was still a mess of stuff.
He took a nice long shower, shaved around his mustache, and got dressed, finally able to calm himself down. It would be no problem to open his house up to a few more people. They were all friends anyway, so no harm done. And it wasn't your fault you had been trying to talk to him when he didn't let you know he was concentrating on the furniture.
You and he would get better at communicating over time, he was sure of it.
But when he walked out into his kitchen, it was literally filled with people. And there were more people coming through the front door. He saw Fanboy, Coyote, Phoenix, Hangman, Bob, Payback, and Maria. Plus a few of your other coworkers from your new lab. There were at least fifteen people in his house.
"What the fuck..." he muttered to himself as the doorbell rang. He watched you prance over and open the door, revealing Mav, Penny and Amelia.
So this is why you thought there wasn't going to be enough food. "Holy shit," Bradley sighed, making his way to the refrigerator and grabbing himself a beer.
"This is so nice, thanks for having everyone over," Phoenix told him, giving him a quick hug.
Bradley just grumbled. "I thought it was just you and Bob coming. I don't know why she invited everyone we know. The house is still a mess!"
Phoenix's eyes went wide. "Oh, well, don't look now, but um.... yeah...."
Bradley followed her gaze toward the front door where you were letting Cam and that fucking douchebag Kyle into the house. Into Bradley's house. He watched Kyle bend down a little and give you a hug, running his hand across your back. It looked innocent enough, but Bradley really hated that guy on sight. He glared daggers at you. "Y/N."
You jumped away from Kyle's grip around your waist and your eyes met Bradley's.
"Welcome everyone!" you announced with a nervous smile as you looked at Bradley. "The food is all ready, so please help yourselves! Paper plates are on the counter!"
"Y/N, can we talk for a minute?"
"Sure..." you said cautiously, and Bradley followed you into the bedroom as everyone else started to pile food onto plates. "What's wrong?"
"What's wrong? There are a hundred people in my house, including Kyle, and I didn't know any of them were going to be here! Who the hell else did you invite?"
"That's it! Nobody else is coming!" you promised, running your hands up and down his arms to calm him down. "Can you just come back out and try your best to be pleasant? Please? And we can talk later?"
"Fine," Bradley managed through gritted teeth. He would just glue himself to Phoenix for the remainder of the evening, and he would make it.
So he got a plate of food and listened to everyone compliment your cooking. He couldn't disagree with them, but he liked it better when it was just the two of you. And what was Kyle doing here anyway? Why had you invited him? At least he was avoiding Bradley like the plague.
Maverick tried to make conversation, but Bradley was in a sour mood by this point. Basically everyone was avoiding him now except for Bob, who was either too kind to leave anyone out or too clueless to catch onto Bradley's mood.
And now Kyle had you alone, near the back door. How much longer was Bradley going to have to play nice? He decided he wasn't going to.
"Hey, Sweetheart," he said as he walked over to you. Then he pulled you against him and kissed you hard, pressing his fingers into your hips. He teased your mouth until you sighed.
"What was that for?" you whispered after he released you.
"Just wanted to kiss my girlfriend, that's all." He winked at Kyle as he ran his hand along your lower back and ass. Kyle swallowed and then wandered off into the kitchen.
"Oh my goodness, I thought you came over here to kiss me because you wanted to, but you were just trying to make Kyle jealous!" you hissed at him, pulling out of his grasp. "Come on, Bradley!"
"What am I supposed to do, when he so clearly wants to fuck you! It's so transparent!" Bradley replied, waving his arms in the air.
"God, can you please not do this right now? Look, everyone is eating the pies. Can this wait until dessert is over and everyone leaves?"
"Sure," Bradley agreed with a growl. He picked up a plate and filled it with pie slices. He figured the more he had to eat, the less that would be available for everyone else. And slowly but surely, everyone started to filter out of his house. Kyle was unsurprisingly the first to go. Good riddance. Penny and Mav offered to stay and help clean up, but Bradley assured them it would be just fine if they went ahead and left for the night.
You were actively avoiding him at this point, going so far as to try to get Phoenix to stay longer.
"Nope, it's time for Nat to leave. Bye Nat, and please take them with you," he said, gesturing to all of the guys.
Phoenix pulled Bradley aside on her way to the door. "Can you stop acting like a dick? Your girlfriend was sweet to invite everyone over. And I'm going to say this as nicely as I can; if you want to have a girlfriend at all, then I suggest you act a little better in the future."
Bradley stood silently in the middle of the living room, and watched you give everyone hugs as they left. When you closed the door behind them, Bradley was about to apologize to you.
"Oh my God, Bradley!" you shouted before he could get a word out. "What the fuck is your problem? I was trying to have a nice time!"
His blood was instantly boiling again. "Then why did you invite Kyle? I can't fucking stand the way he looks at you!" he shouted.
"I didn't! I think he overheard me inviting Cam and Maria and just decided to tag along!"
"Really?" Bradley asked, taking a few steps closer to you. "Are you sure you didn't invite him here to get me all riled up like this?"
"Yes, I'm sure! Oh my God, it doesn't even matter, Bradley!"
"It sure as hell matters to me. I don't want him in my house!"
You took a step away from him. "In your house?"
"Yeah! My house!"
Your eyes narrowed to slits and you planted your hands on your hips. Bradley had the fleeting thought that perhaps he'd made a mistake.
"So when I move in with you in a few weeks, what does that make me?" you asked, deadly calm. "Your girlfriend, or your fucking personal chef? Do I need to run everything past you first so I don't do something you don't like in your precious house? I guess this is a good example of why I wanted to pay you rent!"
"Sweetheart, that's not what I meant," he said, taking a cautious step toward you.
"You told me you wanted this to be our house, but if you've changed your mind, then maybe I can move in with Cam instead. I'm sure he won't try to dictate to me what I'm allowed to do where I live!" You eyes were flashing with anger. Bradley was fucked. He'd never seen you this mad before.
"Baby Girl, I didn't mean-"
"I already gave up my lease with Maria! So if you're going to start acting like a fucking clown all of a sudden, I'd rather you tell me now instead of after I move my stuff in here! That way you'd be saving me time finding a new place to live and a new boyfriend!"
"Don't say that," Bradley hissed, backing you up to the wall. His hands were on your hips, pinning you in place. "Do not say that to me." His breathing was ragged as he watched your eyes grow wide.
He watched you lick your lips as your eyes dropped to his mouth. "Don't tell me what to do," you whispered, and Bradley couldn't take much more.
"Stop it," he said quietly, shaking his head. "You belong with me. Stop saying you don't."
You glared up at him. Your hands found their way to his chest, but instead of pushing him away like he was afraid you were going to do, you pulled him closer. "Make me."
Bradley pinned you in place, one hand on your hip and one around the side of your neck. He kissed you hard on the lips before pulling away again. He looked down at your beautiful face, an expression of pride and stubbornness filling your features. He gently stroked your neck with his thumb.
"I want you here. With me."
"To be your personal chef?"
"No, to be my girlfriend who I get to dote on."
You licked your lips and sniffed, but you didn't try to move. "You had a funny way of showing that today. You can't tell me what to do. And I don't care if you think Kyle wants to fuck me. I don't want to fuck Kyle, so that's just going to have to be a good enough answer for you. Or I'll find somewhere else to live."
"Don't," Bradley growled.
"Then show me you want me here," you whispered, and he had you hoisted up in his arms immediately.
"I want you here," he said roughly, enunciating every word. "I want you fucking everywhere with me, Baby Girl." He kissed your mouth as you wrapped your legs around his waist. "I'm sorry I was a jerk."
"Show me," you insisted again, grinding against his abs. He kissed you, palm at the back of your head, keeping you in place while he sucked your lower lip between his teeth and nibbled. You moaned into his mouth, and he felt so possessive of you. He needed you to know you made his life better.
Bradley laid you down on the couch and climbed on top of you. He kissed your neck as he worked at the zipper of your jeans. "I want you here, because I love you." He slipped his hand inside your underwear and you moaned.
"I don't care if you never cook for me again," he added. "I'll make us cereal for dinner every night, and I'll never complain."
You smiled slightly up at him, clearly trying to keep your expression angry. He wasn't going to have you living anywhere else. No matter what.
He kissed your chin gently as he circled your clit with his fingertips. "God you're wet, Baby Girl. You like arguing with me? Makes me hot too." Although he didn't find this too surprising, he wasn't planning on fighting with you to get this reaction in the future. You needed to know you could trust him.
You just moaned and tipped your head back as Bradley slipped a finger inside you.
"I want you here, Sweetheart. I'll apologize to everyone if you want me to. Even Kyle. And you can have them all over again, too. You can do anything you want."
"Bradley," you whined. He slid your jeans down your legs, followed by your underwear. Then he unzipped his jeans and pushed them down a bit until his hard length was free.
"Baby Girl, you gotta stay here with me. I need you," he whispered as he pushed his cock into your wetness and bottomed out. "Oh, fuck." He let himself go; if you wanted him to show you he wanted you here, then he would do just that. He fucked you hard, gently peppering your face with kisses.
Soon you were a whining, needy mess under him, squeezing his entire length as he started fucking you slowly. You felt so good, you always felt like this. He couldn't believe he'd yelled at you. "Sweetheart, I love you. Tell me what you need."
You chewed on your lip glancing down to where his body connected with yours. "You better make me come," you told him, grabbing his shoulders and guiding his mouth back down to yours.
He would do that. He absolutely would. He kissed you sweetly, pulling one leg up over his hip. Then he fucked you into the couch cushions, bracing one foot on the floor. He fucked you hard and fast until you were close, then he brushed his fingers gently across your clit. He slowed his pace down and kissed your neck. He could feel your pussy squeeze him tighter as your orgasm started and your moans got louder.
"I'll make you come all the time in our house. Just say you'll stay with me," he whispered next to your ear. You whined as you came, grabbing at his shirt and his neck.
"I'll stay," you gasped, and Bradley let himself tumble over the edge with you.
A few minutes later, you started stirring beneath him, his cock still inside you. He lifted his head from the crook of your pretty neck and looked at your flushed face and puffy lips. "I'm sorry I was such a jerk today. I honestly thought you knew how stressed out I've been feeling about moving in here and getting everything ready. I should have made it clear that I only wanted a few people to come over."
"I'll be more explicit next time, Roo. I promise. Now do you believe me that I didn't invite Kyle?"
"Yes, I believe you."
"You can understand why I didn't want to turn someone away?"
"Yes, of course. I'm an idiot."
"Will you stop acting like a baby?"
"Yes, I will."
"And did you get this all out of your system? I don't want to see you like this again."
"I hear you, Baby Girl. No more."
You pushed his weight off of you and he stood, quickly pulling you to your feet as well. "Come eat some pie with me," you murmured as you pulled him into the dining room.
Bradley watched his cum drip down your legs and swore to himself he wasn't going to fuck this up. He loved you too much.

Hi, I have a story from this Thanksgiving that I thought this community would like, and I don't have a kink blog to post it to so I'm gonna share it here cause I know your box is always open. Lol
I'm relatively thin, severely underweight for a good chunk of my childhood, have always been poor so I've never gotten to indulge too much in feasting, not in this economy. But long backstory short, I had the house to myself for pretty much 4 days straight for Thanksgiving break, along with all the leftover food from the entire family thanksgiving.. I was asked to toss most of it because we didn't have room in the fridge and it would go bad, but I didn't want any of it to go to waste.. you can probably tell where his is going..
I have a pretty sensitive stomach since I get full pretty quick, and I'm also lactose intolerant and most meat makes me gassy (and sweaty for some reason?), but for some reason none of that mattered to me, I put a YouTube series I've been itching to watch on my phone and munched on everything that was in front of me which included:
-almost half of a turkey that had been sitting out on the table for a day
-a platter of cheese and cube/slice things and pepperoni/some other meat I forgot
-I wanna say maybe 20 small sugar cookies (the puffy Walmart ones with frosting)
-about 2 litres total of a miz of lemonade, sprite, ginger ale, and coca cola
- 5 bread rolls with melted cheese and butter
-uncounted handfuls old candy I still had from Halloween....
I didn't even realize I'd been eating so much, but I guess since it was all over the course of about a day (9 hours-ish?) It was gradual enough that I didn't realize I'd gone overboard until the end. I remember reaching for the next thing getting ready and thinking "wow i wonder how much ive eaten" and seeing that the answer was all of it. I was wearing an elastic tank top, and I looked down and holy shit I looked pregnant. The tank top is kind of long but there was maybe an inch of belly sticking out from underneath naturally, and the tank top itself was like vacuum sealed tight to my skin!
This is where stuff gets crazy. I put my hand on my stomach to rub it and I could feel it churning under my hand, from the inside ofc and through my belly. I'd been burping throughout the whole stuffing absent-mindedly, but now that it was all setting in, I felt like I was going to puke. I couldn't even feel nauseous at first, it was just PAIN in my middle and I could barely get up. I'm so glad I was alone because I was moaning and rubbing my belly with both hands, holding it as I tried to get up. I could feel myself bringing up burps with every exhale, they were like.. soft and quiet but also really deep and sick, coming out with every breath, like "... urrrrrrp.. hic-hurrrrrp... uurppp. ur-urrp... hic-hUuuurrrrrrrrrp..." and with groans after each one lmao. I made my way to the bathroom eventually and sat by the toilet, sure I was gonna be sick, but I wasn't. I almost wanted to be, but I think I was just too scared to puke. So I sat back against the tub, facing the toilet, my whole body was covered in a cold sweat atp and i was rubbing my belly, and I could feel every single rumble as it ripped through my stomach and rose up as a belch. I couldn't stop burping like I was just about crying on the bathroom floor, bloated as a tick, belching helplessly. After a few minutes the burps started slowing down, but they were much more wet when they did come up. I think the meat and lactose was probably digesting now because I actually started to feel queasy. I started holding in my burps in fear that the food might come up, but then the air started xoming out the back. Starting with small short toots, leading to nauseous farts that, much like the burps, WOULDNT STOP. I was uncontrollably farting, small short bursts every few seconds and idk how to describe it but the farts felt pukey somehow. My stomach was churning like crazy and I could hear it from the outside (still felt intense as I rubbed it too). All the while the original belches never really stopped, so I was just on the floor, gas from both ends pouring out. My stomach was so hard and tight it felt like a bowling ball attached to me and my shirt was so tight it was so hot in hindsight but I felt like I was dying in the moment. Anyways I eventually fell asleep on the floor, woke up feeling sick, burped and farted next to the toilet again and tried doing the doggy-style yoga pose (best that I could, anyways, with my bloated upset tummy still filled with rotting undigested Thanksgiving leftovers) and kept farting until out of nowhere I almost shat myself, I think the position I was in moved the air along but the air took some stuff with it, so now I had to abandon that and sit on the toilet with a trash bin next to me because I couldn't fit it between my legs (my tummy took up the room lol) and it was mostly just me being sick from both ends, along with super uncontrollable rumbly burps and farts that just would not ever fucking stop.
Once it was all out things went back to normal, other than me being really gassy for a few more days.
I will let my uh *cough* community have this 😳🥵

It's hard to be nostalgic about Tumblr without remembering my friend Tru.
Truett McGowan.
What a fantastic name.
We met each other because we were both tech geeks following Leo Laporte. He was the very first live streamer. Originally he hosted a TechTV cable show called The Screen Savers. But once G4 took over and focused more on video games, Leo's show was cancelled and he was looking for a new way to broadcast content.
So he built a studio near his home and created his own infrastructure in order to live stream video on the internet. He called his new show "This Week in Tech" or TWiT for short.
Tumblr media
Along with his new streaming venture he created a TWiT community using an open source microblogging platform called Laconica. It was a form of Twitter that you could create specifically for a single community. Basically a custom niche Twitter feed. I was trying to be a web designer back then, so I created custom themes for Lacnonica.
Tumblr media
This was my own personal theme for a website that I ended up never launching.
Tumblr media
Leo called his custom Twitter, "The TWiT Army." And I was his graphic designer and webmaster. I made all of the cute little graphics for the website.
Tumblr media
I also did fun holiday themes...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the Thanksgiving theme, if you hovered over the Turkey it would change to being cooked.
I also took it upon myself to photoshop a little army helmet on the avatar of every single user of the site.
Tumblr media
This was the zombie avatar I made for myself during Halloween.
Tumblr media
The TWiT Army was also where I started posting my first attempts at Photoshop comedy. Many of them related to The TWiT Army.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And The TWiT Army is where I met Tru. He used a space invader avatar. I made him a couple of different versions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You may have seen his avatar on the sidebar of my main Tumblr.
Tumblr media
We became fast friends. We finished each other's jokes. We talked pretty much all day, every day. He loved Apple back then. I was strictly PC at the time. So we debated about that quite a bit. He would probably be astonished I have a MacBook and that I really love it too.
Our friendship lived in a little text box. We never talked outside of instant messages. But it was one of the most profound friendships of my life. I loved Tru just as much as any friend I've ever known in real life.
Tru started blogging on this brand new site called Tumblr. He reviewed apps for the iPod Touch. Not the iPhone, as that wasn't yet a thing.
I made the banner for his Tumblr.
Tumblr media
He kept trying to get me to join Tumblr, but I was busy trying to create my own custom comedy website. But my site kept getting more and more complicated and I could never quite finish it. I was trying to arrange guest authors and create 3 months of content and I was always futzing with the theme and never happy with it.
I was getting frustrated that I could never launch my perfect comedy website and Tru suggested just making a Tumblr and posting funny stuff so I could be creative and have an outlet until my big site was ready to launch.
Little did I know Tumblr would end up being my big comedy website. Eventually I abandoned months of work and just stayed on Tumblr. All of my success here is pretty much because that little space invader pestered me to join when I was being stubborn.
Unfortunately, as some may have figured out already, the story gets sad from there. Tru mentioned briefly that he had a heart defect, but he never said it was serious. He acted like it was no big deal so I never thought too much about it.
We always talked through instant message and email, so we never exchanged phone numbers or addresses or anything like that. Tru was a very private person so he never even published an image of his face online. I only knew him as a space invader.
One day I woke up and sent him a message and got no reply. He usually woke up before me and answered as soon as I said hello. This had been our routine for nearly a year.
An hour went by. Two hours. Three hours.
It was odd for him not to respond for that long. I was really worried but all of my TWiT friends told me I was being paranoid. But there was a huge knot in my stomach telling me otherwise.
But then those hours turned into days. Days into weeks. Weeks into months. My worry grew exponentially as more time passed. I didn't know what to do. I tried finding his family. I even looked into hiring a private investigator. I don't know if I have ever felt a combination of depression & anxiety that intense.
In my heart, I knew what had happened. I knew that heart defect took his life. He was only 26 and it just didn't seem fair. But the not knowing for certain ravaged my mental health. Before all of this I had lost nearly 90 pounds and I gained it all back.
I think maybe a year or so later I found a friend of his who knew him in real life. They were finally able to confirm my suspicions. He passed away from his heart condition. That was my first real experience with grief. But I was so thankful for that bit of closure. I was finally able to let go of my anxiety and mourn him properly.
But Tru gave me such a wonderful gift. He pushed me to just start making things. To stop stalling and just create things to make people smile.
And you all probably know the rest from there.

Waking Lions 2

Remember last chapter I warned you reader is bisexual? Yeah. Also due to her work, reader has multiple nicknames, and we see another nickname in this chapter.
This chapter may feel a little slower but we’re building up to good stuff, I promise!
Once again, speaking in italics is speaking in another language.
Warnings: Swearing, mentioned sexual activity, mentioned events from CoD:MW, spy shit.
Word count: 1.8k
Tumblr media
After your business in Turkey was concluded, you hopped on a series of planes to Mexico to go visit another old friend. This one very rarely gave you any kind of intel, but she was fun. So it was worth the trip.
Besides, you were craving good Mexican food.
She even sent a few of her men to pick you up. One took your bags, another held the door open for you into the SUV.
The royal treatment.
The drive was long and quiet. You weren’t overly interested in talking to the underlings, and she had likely warned them to silence anyway. That was one of the reasons you so enjoyed her company. She was smart.
The car stopped, and you waited while one of the men hopped out and got your door for you. “This way,” he murmured in English. Your lips twitched but you followed him sedately.
This time, she’d brought you to a very nice home. Not modest. Three stories, with a good-sized car garage.
This one was new, and idly you wondered when she’d acquired this.
“It took you long enough,” she called in Spanish, walking down the stairs as you entered the house.
“You didn’t invite me for too long,” you shot back, smiling. As always, she was a vision, even dressed simply in a dark top and pants. “Valeria.”
“Marigold.” Valeria stepped down onto the entryway floor, walking up to you. “You changed your hair.”
You smiled. “Every so often,” you agreed. “Can’t let people get too used to one style.”
She chuckled, lifting one hand to trace one finger over the apple of your cheek. “When are you going to come work for me, hm? We both know I can make it worth your while.”
“Not today, Valeria.” This was an old game between the two of you, as old as her rise to power. You may have helped her along some. For the right price. Information helped win wars, after all.
She caught your chin between her thumb and forefinger, holding you steady, searching your gaze. Then she nodded once. “Come. Lunch is ready for us.”
You followed her, unashamedly looking around. “This is a nice place,” you hummed.
“I’m glad you like it, since you’ll be staying here.” She looked over her shoulder at you, amused. “For however long you want.”
“You are a temptress.”
She led you to a table outside, already set for the two of you. This part was easy - you both enjoyed eating and flirting, with nothing of real consequence being said. She always tried to pry just a little more out of you, and you always diverted and redirected. This had been the game for as long as you’d known her.
“I do have work for you, if you’re interested.” Her gaze was heavy-lidded, sweeping over you slowly, warm and familiar.
“Mm?” You leaned back in your chair, folding your hands loosely over your tummy.
“I need to know what the Americans are up to.”
You scoffed a derisive laugh. “The Americans don’t know what the Americans are up to,” you grumbled, waving one hand. “I’ll need something more specific to get you any good intel.”
She leaned forward, hands on the table, chin tipped to hold your gaze. “I need to know how distracted they are.”
You mulled that request over slowly, carefully. You knew her business. She’d known you long enough to give you free reign. Much like Laswell, Valeria knew you gave her solid intel. “Is there a specific department?” you asked cautiously. “Or a specific distraction?”
“I don’t want them to have so much time they begin sniffing around my operations.”
And that, well, that made sense. Didn’t necessarily make things easy, but it made sense. “I’ll need a few days.”
“Standard rules?”
“Of course.”
Valeria smiled. “Well then. Since you’ll be here for a few days…” She stood and took your hand, tugging gently until you stood as well. “I should show you to your room.” Her voice dipped, low and sultry.
“You should,” you agreed, lips curving in an inviting smile.
Valeria tugged your hand, leading you away from the table.
This was one reason why you kept coming back. She just knew how to treat you right.
The fact that she could deliver mind-numbing orgasms was a definite plus, too.
Later, after Valeria left to do some business, you set up your computer. You’d promised to get her some information, after all, and that didn’t just drop into your lap.
Not without some prompting, anyway.
Sources appropriately prompted, you turned instead to the news. It was always good to keep up to date on what was happening - kept you from accidentally wandering into too much trouble. It also gave you time to decide where you wanted to go next, after you got Valeria her information.
The whole world was open to you, after all.
Your research paused for dinner, and then you went right back to it. It had been a while since you’d been to Greenland, and you wouldn’t mind a quieter couple weeks. Then again, Africa had many choices and potential for quiet as well… Decisions, decisions.
You blinked at your phone when it started ringing. Not that many people had your number.
“Yes?”
“Ace.” Laswell sounded stressed. Oh this could not be good. “I need a favor.”
“I don’t do favors,” was your immediate response. Because you didn’t. Mostly.
But Laswell pulled out the big guns. She pulled out your birth name, the one you’d left behind years ago, the one she’d scrubbed from every system.
You went rigid, swallowing hard. “Katie Kate.”
“I need a favor,” she repeated, softer, gentler.
You closed your eyes. Fuck. Fuck! “What do you need?”
“I need you to find someone for me. Cartel.”
“You know I don’t do names.”
“I don’t need a name, I need a location.” She paused and then pulled out her final trump card. “He’s working with Gray.”
You stopped. For a few moments, the world faded to nothing but a pair of gray eyes. Then you swallowed hard. “Should have led with that,” you muttered, hunching your shoulders. “Who am I finding?”
“Carlos Torres.”
“Fine. Am I calling you back with this?”
“No. I’ll have someone meet you.”
“No, not here. I’m not planning to be anywhere helpful to you for at least a week.”
Laswell sighed, short and sharp. “Fine. I’ll provide you with a number for a burner phone, but you won’t get me, so behave yourself.”
“One of these days, you’re going to rack up debt, and I’m going to call it in.”
“Not today.” Laswell hung up.
You let your phone drop to the bed, heart pounding. Twisting, you looked out the window, suddenly feeling exposed and uncertain. Valeria ran a tight ship. She wouldn’t allow unauthorized people here. Not here. It was just your paranoia, you just needed to work it out of your system.
A nice hot shower made you feel more settled in your skin. And screaming into your pillows helped.
Some.
By morning, you were back under control, skipping down the steps to join Valeria for breakfast. You had no idea when she’d gotten back, but she was as immaculately put together as ever, and even greeted you with a kiss to the cheek.
“Sleep well?” Her gaze lingered on your face.
“Oh yes, the bed is quite comfortable.” You smiled, helping yourself to food at her wave. “You really are trying to tempt me into a singular living.” Your grin showed teeth, but it was all in good fun.
“You already know that.” Her smile was a dangerous, glittering thing, a velvet-wrapped dagger. “How long will you be staying?” She switched to Spanish, pouring a drink for you.
You shrugged. “Likely a few more days, at least until I hear back,” you answered in kind.
She nodded once, looking thoughtful. “Do you need to be by your computer all day?”
You blinked, surprised. “No, I’m not expecting anything urgent today. Why?”
“I want to take you riding, see more of the area.”
You waggled your eyebrows playfully. “Riding, huh?” You switched back to English to load more suggestiveness into your tone.
She swatted your arm, light, playful. A teasing reprimand, but still a reprimand. “Well, if you’d prefer to be a brat about it…”
You held your hands up. “I apologize, you know I like to tease. I would love to go with you.”
Her smile had the distinct flavor of a woman who was used to getting her way, and was not surprised when she got it yet again. “After breakfast, then.”
Valeria kept you out all day, showing you around. Showing you off, subtly but definitively. Though she rarely introduced you, no fewer than a dozen of her men saw you with her.
You were a little irked by her gall. A little turned on, too, if you were honest with yourself.
But you still had mixed feelings when you saw that your people had gotten back to you with the information on the Americans. Laswell’s information hadn’t come through yet - if you didn’t hear back in the morning, you’d have to start leaning on people.
Valeria thanked you for the information with a wire transfer and another orgasm. She also somehow got you to promise to stick around for another two days.
You still weren’t sure how she’d gotten you to agree to that.
It took another day before you got a location on Carlos Torres. You waited until Valeria was out of the house again attending to business before you called the number Laswell had sent you.
“You have the information?”
You smiled slowly. “Well, hello again, Captain,” you purred. “What a pleasant surprise!”
He sighed, short and sharp, on the other end. “Do you have the information or not?”
“I do.” You pouted, just a little. “You sure know how to ruin a girl’s fun, Captain.”
The silence on the other end was pointed. Very pointed.
So you gave him the intel, including last known coordinates.
Captain grunted once. Apparently that counted as acknowledgement.
“And, Captain? You should hurry. He won’t stay there long.” You hung up without giving him a chance to reply. Sighing, you rubbed a hand over your face.
Sometimes you wondered if you were getting too comfortable. And sometimes you just wondered about your sanity.

The garden was finally bare, the soil tilled over and weeded of its dead occupants. Precious loved herbs and other plants dug up and brought inside to last the winter. Seeds sorted and stored for next year. Harvest time was over and the dirt can lay in rest for another winter. October had come and passed, the early days of November bringing a new chill to the air.
Joel helps you prep the garden soil for next year and he almost wishes he hadn’t offered. You had buckets of compost stored and ready to enrich the soil, nasty smelling stuff. Vegetable scraps, egg shells, bones— garbage really. He was helping you spread garbage around your dead garden. He’s done stranger things, he supposes.
“Please tell me this is the last one,” He sighs, dumping out the final nasty, juicy contents from the last 5-gallon barrel you rolled out.
“It’s the last one,” you scoff, raking the dumped contents evenly over the soil’s surface. “You can start putting the leaf piles on top then we’re done.”
“Thank god,” he retreats to the edge of the garden where you’d had a massive leaf pile waiting. He grabs an armful and spreads them on top of the compost, “Why are we doing this again?”
“Keeps the soil healthy.” You dust your hands off and grab a fistful of leaves for yourself, “You gotta put back what you take out. The parts you don’t use decompose and make the soil healthier. Circle of life and all that.”
“And the leaves?”
“Extra barrier and extra compost.” You step closer to him and he does his best to ignore how that makes his heart speed up ever so slightly. “Use what’s around, ya know?”
“Yeah, I suppose,” He grabs another armful of leaves, “But it was good this year? The garden?”
“Better than other years. Only got good at it the last two years or so.”
Joel wasn’t much of a farmer. Hell, he killed nearly all of his houseplants. The idea of constantly managing something so delicate was intimidating. Game hunting was easy in comparison. Straight forward— almost literally. Point and shoot. Set a trap and leave it. Hunting didn’t take skill, it just took luck. But growing food… That was a whole different story.
Your storages were plentiful from what he saw. You didn’t really seem to keep track of resources used because of it. Much more lax than Bill. If he had to guess you probably easily had enough for 6-8 months at the moment— But he can’t help but wonder how much you’d used on him. How much did he take from you? The question that’s been constantly on his mind lately.
He’d brought back some meager kills. That turkey and a good handful of rabbits. Was it enough?
“Thinking you got enough to make it through the winter this year?” He asks before he can stop himself.
You pause, he’s not sure if it’s from his sudden forwardness or because you’re actually thinking about it, sorting through everything in your head. He sees your expression drop a little bit— his unspoken words evidently being heard loud and clear.
Will you be fine without me?
He hadn’t brought it up in weeks, him heading back to the QZ. You hadn’t either. Christ he’d been healed for just as long and he still wandered around here like a lost puppy. What was he waiting for? You to chase him out with a broom in hand? Or maybe for you to tell him please don’t go.
He had to. He had to leave and him lingering around you like a ghost was making it all the more difficult.
“It was a good harvest this year,” You finally answer, kicking out more leaves in your path. “Winter can be unpredictable, though. For extra assurance, we should probably think about getting bigger kills if we—”
You pause again, your back to him. He can’t see your face but he can guess what’s painted across it. Panic. Blushing embarrassment. You said it twice, the forbidden word.
We.
You’d both been dancing around referring to each other as a pair since he got here, now you were the first to let it slip. He knew what we meant. We meant I’m thinking of you. We meant I’m planning a future where you’re there. We meant don’t leave.
He doesn’t say anything, the pleasant afternoon soured by him asking silent questions. Joel didn’t like being so timid. It’s not who he was. He was a blunt, straightforward man— often to a fault. He wishes he could still be that emotionless with you. It’d make everything so much easier. Instead, he lives in fear of hurting you. Of bringing the curtain down on this small little paradise you’d given him. He didn’t deserve it. He didn’t deserve you. It’s time he gets back to what he was actually good at.
All things must come to an end, even the good things. He had to come back to reality. Joel just had to pull the trigger… but when?
He tosses a final fistful of leaves onto the barren garden and stomps off to the edge of the property.
“I’m gonna set up a few more traps.”
__________
A bloated awkwardness had settled between you both since this afternoon, and you have your stupid mouth to thank for it. The damn thing always got you into so much trouble.
You said we. You desperately wanted to try and recover and blurt that you were referring to you, Gus, and Lily, obviously, but that would have made the whole situation ten times worse. You just blurting whatever came to mind had gotten you into this mess.
How had Joel become such an integral part of your life in such a short time? He’d crawled into your heart and made a home there without even trying. From day one you knew he wouldn’t stay, and yet that never seemed to matter.
You’d told him six weeks for his estimated recovery time. It only took a glance at the calendar to see that specific date had come and gone. He’d been recovered. Walking strong with newly healed over scars. He was a picture of health… and he was still here. That meant something.
He hadn’t mentioned the QZ once. Not even people inside it. He’d been vague, at best, about what he’d done there. The only family you knew about was his brother, who was likely now hundreds of miles away. What did he have to go back to, you wonder. You’d never asked, but then again he probably wouldn’t tell you if you did.
Maybe you’re waiting for him to ask. Ask if he can stay here… but you probably made your feelings about that rather clear… right? Maybe you have to ask, then. Ask him to stay. Tell him how you feel.
The fear of rejection is a powerful one. People underestimate it all the time.
So, instead of facing the fear, you dance around in this awkward limbo you’d made for yourself, because of your big dumb mouth.
You’re curled up on the couch while he passively plays guitar in the corner of the living room, Gus and Lily curled up at his feet like he always belonged there.
The playing stops and you dare to glance in his direction. His gaze is on the curled-up fur children at his feet, sadness pulling at his features. You can only hope what he’s thinking about.
“Hey,” he looks at you, “So… I was thinking bout somethin’.”
“That’s dangerous.” You hope, just for a moment. Hope that he’ll ask to stay the winter. Stay longer. Stay forever. Just… stay.
“Yeah,” he gives the weakest smile you’d ever seen in your life. Oh no. “I was… thinkin’ about when I should leave.”
You’d never had your hope dashed so quickly.
“Yeah?” You say, trying your best to hide the fact that your heart is shattering.
“I should… do it soon. Before the snow falls.”
You look away from him, clutching your book to your chest, “That’s… a good idea.”
He lets the silence brew in the room. God, if you thought the air between you two was uncomfortable before…
You hold back a tear, putting on a brave face. “When were you thinking?”
He’s set the guitar aside, leaning heavily over his knees. He wrings his hands together nervously.
“Tomorrow.”
The single word is like an arrow to the heart. Tomorrow? That soon? You can’t believe you’d scared him off so easily. If there was a time to tell him to stay, it was now. Beg him not to go. Tell him how you feel. Show him he’d always have a home here.
Say something. Anything.
“That’s… soon.”
Idiot.
“It is.” He nods dismissively. You don’t know why, but you really want to punch him right now. He sighs, coming over to take a seat next to you. Good. Closer to punch. “I’ve taken enough from you, darlin’. It’s time I be on my way.”
“Good, you’ve been a nuisance anyway.” You think hiding behind some sarcasm will distract from the stinging behind your eyes. It doesn’t. Still, you manage to will the tears to stay inside, “It was a pleasure you have you, Joel.”
He rests a hand on your thigh and you swear it burns. “I… don’t know how to repay you.”
Don’t leave. You want to say it so badly. That’s how he could repay you if that’s what he felt he needed to do. Is it selfish of you to want him all to yourself? Like a treasure you found. Yes, of course it is. He had a right to leave. He had a right to his own damned free will.
“Just live, that’s all you have to do,” You place your hand on top of his, “And come back to visit?”
“Of course.”
Those sorrowful deep brown eyes say all his mouth never could. Does he even really want to leave? God, you hate this. What do you do now? Do you eagerly start packing his supplies? Leave him alone? Cry? Beg? Say it. Just say it!
“Joel…” You squeeze his hand just a little tighter. His expression lightens, just a little. “I…” I don’t want you to leave. “I’ll miss you.”
Coward.
He breathes out a small smile, squeezing your hand back. Can he feel it? Your heart breaking.
His other hand comes up to rest on your cheek. “I’ll miss you too, darlin’.”
“Joel…”
This was too much. He was too much. You can’t just sit idly by while this happens. You can’t just watch him leave without fighting just a little. Without speaking your peace. If you don’t, you know you’ll regret it forever. You have to do something. Do anything.
You come crashing into him, your lips finding his immediately. He moans into you, his other hand coming up behind your head to pull you in closer. He wanted this too. Good. You crawl on top of him… or he guides you down to the couch, you’re not really sure. It doesn’t matter. You had him, here, right now. When your words fail you, this is how you can tell him. Tell him to stay.
His hands trail down from your face and squeeze your waist, pulling you closer to him. You rake your hands through his hair in a frenzy, just needing more. All of him. Oh god, he felt so good already. His tongue comes out to explore your mouth, you open with a desperate sigh. He was eager. He was willing.
He was yours. Right now he was yours.
Your hands drop to his belt. You feel him flinch under your touch.
“Darlin’... I…” he breathes between your lips. Whatever he was going to say dies on his tongue. His hips raise up in encouragement.
“Joel,” you moan as you undo the buckle, “Joel, I—”
A mighty gust of wind shakes the cabin, testing its very foundation. You both jolt upright, the moment completely ruined by shock. The windows rattle with newfound intensity. The bones of your little home creak in protest.
A storm was coming.
“Shit…shit,” you grumble, climbing off Joel, much to your disdain. You walk over to your little weather station by the front door, three little mounted dials that Art always swore by. A thermometer, a barometer, and a hydrometer. The temperature had dropped significantly since this afternoon, dwindling down past freezing. The air pressure was dropping rapidly, you swear you see the needle moving before your very eyes. Yep, the telltale signs of a storm. When you glance out the window your heart drops.
The snow had only just started to fall, small white specks starting to blanket the ground, and it was picking up speed. The sky was barely visible, the undoubtedly massive clouds whited out by an oncoming freeze. It was going to be a blizzard—a big one.
“What is it?” Joel comes up behind you.
You groan, wishing so badly you could ignore it and take him back to the couch and continue where you left off— but you know you can’t. You’d said earlier that winter was unpredictable, and that was true. Early snow meant more work that had to be done now before it got worse. Preparations done to assure your safety. More wood inside, more water in the tank, relocating the chickens, bringing up more food from the cellar— You could both do it before the storm got worse. If you hurried it’d be done in an hour. Then you could get back to… everything.
You were likely going to be snowed in for a few days. Maybe it’s a sign, you think. A final gift from the almighty to get Joel Miller to stay just a little longer. You’ll take what you can get.
“Winter came early.”

Bucky kisses the back of your hand, then stands from the couch, checking his watch. “Dinner’s about ready. I’ll go finish it off.”
As he leaves the living room, Steve scoots a little closer. He pulls you into a short kiss, then rests his forehead against yours, eyes closed, and you breathe in the moment.
“I know it’s so predictable to ask you about your day,” he says, “but I’ve been waiting for weeks to just have these everyday conversations with you.”
You smile, though you know he can’t see it. You’re sure he can feel it because you can feel it coming from him, too.
“When we went to dinner that night, I thought that was going to be the beginning of so many days like that, seeing you, texting with you, just sharing everything with you.
Your heart stutters and leaps, “I wanted that, too. I’m sorry it wasn’t–”
He stops you with another gentle press of his lips to yours and cups your cheek. “No, I didn’t mean to bring it up to make you feel guilty. Tony would say if you want to make an omelet, you have to break some eggs. I think we’re coming through for the better.”
In the time that you’ve spent with Steve, you’ve become aware of how influential and powerful his mood is in any situation, and right now he’s feeling a contentment that really does envelop you.
So you sit back a little in the armchair, but take his hand, and start talking. He holds your hand in both of his, idle stroking of the back of your hand with his thumb as he listens. You talk about the bookshop. Bucky has become a regular, but Steve hasn’t been in yet. You’re eager to share that with him soon, too. You tell him about an upcoming book launch event you solidified today with a local author – it’s their debut novel, but they’ve been a frequent friend of your shop for a few years. “Oh,” you suddenly remember to ask, “you mentioned before that you were getting a lot of chatter about some things happening in Turkey. Is that where you and Bucky went?”
“Yeah.” He grins, probably pleased that you remembered. “Turkey was… interesting.”
“I’ve wanted to go to Turkey! Mission stuff aside because I know that’s probably classified, did you get to experience anything?”
“Not too much, but we did get to see a little of Istanbul. It was beautiful.” He tilts his head a little. “I… would like to go back and see more.”
You plant your elbow on the armrest of your chair and prop your chin on the hand Steve’s not holding. “Steve, have you even been on a vacation?”
He shakes his head. “Only day trips or weekends once or twice upstate when I was a kid. We kept on the move and covered a lot of territory when we didn’t agree to the Sokovia Accords, but that was survival and trying to be of use while keeping a low profile, not traveling. And during The Blip, it never even crossed my mind.”
You squeeze his hand.
“We should go.”
“I’ve never done as much traveling as I wanted either. Couldn’t afford it when I was starting out, then… yeah, The Blip, and since the Second Snap, it’s been busy, but now…”
“Now maybe we have even more reason to make it something to prioritize.”
Butterflies flare in your stomach when he smiles at you like that. Your chest gets that happy tightness. This was why you said yes to them.
“So, Turkey,” you say, a little breathlessly.
“I’ll put it on the list.”
You’re melting.
“Dinner is almost ready!” Bucky’s voice calls from the kitchen. “Steve, come set the table!”
“France should probably go near the top of the list.”
Steve nods in agreement and pulls you up as he stands. He keeps your hand in his as he walks both of you into the kitchen.
“Bucky won’t let us eat in the kitchen, not even at the stools at the counter,”
“Damn right I won’t!” he says, already catching your conversation. “The French wouldn’t hear of it, and I worked hard enough for us to eat at the altar of a proper table.”
“Everything smells incredible,” you gush when you enter their beautiful kitchen. Every part of the brownstone you’ve seen so far is beautiful.
Bucky turns and flashes a devastating grin before turning back to his prep. “Glad you think so.”
Steve brings you to a stop right next to Bucky, who is fully occupied whisking egg yolks one at a time into a custard on the stove, a separate pan with melted chocolate set off to the side. You lean your hip against the counter so you can watch.
Standing behind him, Steve puts a hand on Bucky’s shoulder on the other side and leans over the stove to stick his finger in the chocolate, getting his taste before Bucky can stop him.
“Rogers!” Bucky growls.
You laugh, and Steve grins wickedly.
“It’s good.”
“Get to setting the table. Food’s already set, just going to finish this off and put it in the oven.”
“And pour the wine?”
“We’ve got a Syrah, right? Or any Bordeaux blend.”
“I’ll look and see.”
“Can I help?” you ask.
They both immediately frown at you. “You’re not lifting a finger the first dinner you’re eating here with us,” Bucky says adamantly.
You hold your hands up quickly in surrender. “Understood,” you laugh.
“Good girl,” Steve says, his smile immediately returning. “I’ll go sort out the wine.”
He squeezes Bucky’s shoulder before he leaves the kitchen.
It hits you out of nowhere. There’s a short constriction in your chest at seeing how easy that casual intimate gesture was between them. They’ve known each other for years and years longer than they’ve known you. You’re nowhere near close to that ease and familiarity with them yet. Will this work?
“Come here,” Bucky invites you in closer, and as you step forward, he tucks an arm around you and pulls you securely into his side while he continues whisking with his other hand. Did your insecurity show on your face? Did he merely suspect it? Or maybe he just wanted to hold you for no other reason than wanting to. Whatever the reason, it does soothe away that doubt that had tried to creep in. He presses a kiss to your temple. “I missed you. I don’t know if I would’ve been patient enough to wait much longer. Steve was adamant we had to wait for you to set the timing though.”
Your chest blooms with warmth. You’re glad they did wait – you had needed the time to think and sort out your heart so you could feel secure jumping all in – but it also made you feel good to know he’d been eager. You circle your arms around his waist and look up at him. “Thank you.” You could say more, but you think he knows. His eyes and a squeeze of his arm around you say that he does.  “Kiss me?”
“Always,” and he does. It’s a swift kiss because he is in the middle of the complexities of whatever he’s cooking, but he makes sure even the short kiss takes your breath away.
You only just manage not to whimper when he draws his lips away. Instead, you content yourself with resting your head against his chest. “Now what is it you’re making?”
“The boeuf bourguignon was easy to finish off, and I had decided something decadent for dessert was in order. Chocolate soufflé.”
“Damn, Barnes, you know how to impress a girl.”
He laughs. “Honey, get ready for a lot more of this.”
Your stomach flips, but he doesn't leave you flustered for long, diving into normal conversation while he continued working, Steve coming in and out of the kitchen to set the table. Bucky allows you to assist him as sous chef for only a moment, letting you to open the oven door when he was ready to carefully put the chocolate delicacy in to bake.
Then the three of you sit down to dinner, and it wasn’t an oversell to say it is one of the best meals of your life. The food is incredible, and simply being there with the two of them with the conversation, the laughter, the way they look at you, the way they look at each other, all of it is bliss. That bliss bleeds into Bucky taking the chocolate soufflé out of the oven and the three of you devouring the rich masterpiece. Then you settle in to watch a movie together, you tucked between them.
When you wake up, you are no longer tucked between your super soldiers, but instead tucked beneath a set of soft sheets and blanket that are unfamiliar to you, your head rests on a comfortable but foreign pillow, and your body feels the awkwardness of having slept in your jeans and button-down blouse. The latter wasn’t awful, but never ideal. Why were you asleep in your day clothes? You shift and yawn and sink a little more into the pillows and mattress, appreciating how cozy they are but wondering where exactly you were. You rewind your memory and start to recall a few of the last details in your mind – leaning up against Bucky’s side, Steve pulling your legs up across his lap and giving you a foot massage while the opening scenes of a movie played out.
They had let you choose the movie, and you’d gone with The Count of Monte Cristo, one of your favorites, but now you weren’t certain you’d even made it to the Chateau D’If with poor Edmond Dantes before falling asleep. Actually, you were pretty sure it was that soothing foot massage that had you lost to the land of the waking. You do have a vague half recollection of being scooped up from the couch into someone’s arms, but that was it.
It's clearly what landed you here.
You roll onto your back and smile. The ceiling is littered with carefully mapped out constellations, a glow in the dark replication of the galaxy. Adorable nerd, you think, and with a look around the room, the shelf full of books that covers an entire wall of the room and a neatly stacked pile of three books on the bedside table let you know you must be in Bucky’s bed. There is a low level of moonlight casting a glow across the room from the windows, and you remember the distinct thought you’d had about wanting to see how this man kept his books and what else was in his collection, but that would need to wait for daylight. You never would have dreamed this was how things would have played out all those weeks ago.
A little more alert, your throat feels a little dry, and knowing once the thought has crossed your mind you wouldn’t be able to fall back asleep without a drink of water, and it was clearly too late to go home (or late enough to absolutely justify staying in this very cozy place for the rest of the night and seeing your boys in the morning), you pull back the covers and shift out of bed. Sitting at the foot of the mattress you see a pair of gym shorts and a t-shirt that are clearly meant for you, and a huge sleepy smile splits across your face. You discard your clothes, feeling immediately comfortable in the alternative – which smell like Steve.
Bucky’s bed but Steve’s clothes.
Your head spins happily as you pad quietly into the hallway and make your way to the kitchen.
Once properly watered, you make your way back to the bedrooms, carefully bringing the partially-refilled glass with you just in case you get thirsty again. It is so quiet in their home, but comfortably so. You will get to see more in the daylight, but you love how it feels already. You pause at the doorway to Bucky’s room, bite your lip, and turn to look across the hallway at another bedroom door.
You don't want to sleep alone in Bucky’s room when they are together in Steve’s.
Heart pounding just a little, you step across the hallway and slowly turn the doorknob, trying to open the door as quietly as you can. You step inside, but then stop and look around. This was an unoccupied bedroom – it had a bed, but that bed was empty, and this room didn’t seem to have much to it. It was a guest bedroom. A little bloom shoots through your heart at the thought that while they had wanted to give you every bit of privacy – leaving you clothed, giving you a bed to yourself – it felt intimate in its own way to know that they’d tucked you in in Bucky’s room, not the guest bedroom.
Not at all nervous now, you step back into the hallway, close that door, and make your way further down the hall, eager to find where these two impossibly wonderful men were slumbering and join them. The next door on the left was a bathroom, but the door on the right is Steve’s. Bucky is asleep, but Steve is sitting up against the headboard and had been engrossed in scrolling in something on his phone, earbuds in, but looks up when your movement pulls his attention. He grins and pulls the buds out, “Hi, Sweetheart.”
“Hi,” you breath, padding toward his side of the bed.
He nudges Bucky as you make your way over. Bucky groans.
“Told you our girl would make her way to us before sunrise,” Steve says to him, and that seems to bring Bucky around slightly.
Steve sets his phone on his bedside table, takes the glass from your hand to set it there as well, and pulls back the covers so you can hop up and crawl in and join them. Bucky immediately pulls you in to his chest, kissing the top of your head. You sigh as Steve closes in behind you, and between your two super soldiers, you quickly drift back to sleep, held safely in their arms.

Turtle Tricks
Tumblr media
Summary: The gang is out and ready to get the whole Halloween experience. Sadly your girl group ditched you. Luckily you have your boyfriend with you!
P.S: Hello! Halloween season is officially over. Christmas is comin up! But before that, here is part 2 to Turtle Treaters. I hope you guys enjoy it!
The streets of New York are almost always full of pedestrians walking about and going with their day. But this hallows eve, and on every holiday really, that number of people always doubled. The Halloween fair had stalls lined up on every block. Some sold candies like chocolate and candy corn, while others sold desserts like pumpkin bars and pies. Others even held games where you could win prizes. The scents that came from the sugary goodness wafted in the air giving the stale New York wind a Halloweeny sweetness. Each one of you could feel your mouth salivate from the sights and smells. It was almost a sensory overload. And of course, being a gang of eight, everyone wanted to go in different directions and eat as much candy as they can stuff in their faces. Cassandra wanted to go for the, according to Donnie, strangely anatomically correct skull cookies. April and Sunita went straight for the stall selling gummies shaped like everything Halloween. That left the boys, your boyfriend, and you to figure out how to split up.
Raph
"Raphie, you smell that?" How you were able to smell anything through the material of your hippo suit is a mystery in itself, but yes Raph did smell that.
"Is that, chocolate?"
"Yeah! Come on!"
Letting you pull him through the crowd of New Yorkers, Raph follows you to a small stall with a fairly large crowd selling hot chocolate. Apparently, this was hot choco with a "twist" which made it extra special. Some of the customers walked away with horrified faces, while others with giggling with joy. If the smell wasn't enough to buy you in, curiosity definitely did.
"Ooh~ We have to get some!"
"I don't know. The line is pretty long. Might take us a while."
"Pretty please~? It's cold."
That was an absolute lie. Sure the November wind may have been cold but inside your hippo suit, you felt like thanksgiving turkey on slow cook wearing it. Was that gonna stop you from Halloween hot choco? Definitely not. Raph didn't know how, but he could feel your puppy eyes from underneath the suit. And with or without seeing it, he would always be weak to it. Always.
"Alright fine, let's get in line."
Happily, you skipped in line with Raph standing beside you. And, luckily enough, the fairly long line moved surprisingly fast. The wait only lasted five minutes tops before it was both your turn. Soon enough, you were both sitting on a side bench with your hot chocos in hand. With a pop, you remove the head of your suit with a sigh of relief. Raph never looked like he was baking inside wearing this, maybe it was a mutant turtle-ninja...thing.
"I thought you said it was cold?"
"It is now."
Taking a sip, you were surprised by the spicy kick you felt in your mouth. Not cinnamon spicy, more like cayenne pepper spicy. It was yummy. You were about to take another sip when Raph shrieked beside you. You turned to look and find your boyfriend looking at his cup, horrified.
"Why, what's wrong?"
"There's…something…very wrong with mine."
Glancing at his cup, you spot three eyeballs floating in his hot choco. All looking upwards, glassily at him. And you since you were looking down at his cup of hot choco.
"Ooh~ those are good."
Raph gave you a look before you had to explain that they were marshmallows filled, usually, with strawberry jam. You suggested he pop one in his mouth and, although reluctantly, he did. It tasted good, but he still felt icky about it though. You only laughed at his squirmish expression, which made him huff, before taking another sip.
"Hey, you have something on your face."
You couldn't even react before he kissed you on the cheek. Out of nowhere.
"You had some whipped cream there."
Leo
Seeing as your girl group ditched you with your boyfriend and his brothers, you decided to have a look around. See if anything caught your fancy. And sure enough, something did. A horror house. Filled with the screams of horrified teens who thought they were brave enough to traverse the maze-like corridors of the nightmarish attraction. You tugged at Leo's Lou Jitsu sleeve to get his attention. Once you got it, you gestured to the attraction. Raising your eyebrows in a challenge.
"Babe, the first one who screams loses. The winner gets pizza rights."
Leo, being the champion turtle that he was, grinned mischievously and pulled you to the ticket booth.
"One for me and my fine partner here, if you please."
"Please follow Frankenstein to the house entrance."
The ticketer said, gesturing to the staff dressed as Frankenstein who stood just to the right of the booth. Quickly, you two followed after them and entered the horror house with determination. After all, extra pizza slices were in the line. Thirty minutes in, and no one has made a single noise. Outside the subtle jumps, sweaty palms held tightly in each other’s sweaty grip, and the hardly unnoticeable inching closer together, not even a silent gasp left your mouths. Immediately after a turn, written on the wall in wet and drippy red paint were the words 'Keep running! You're almost there!' Naturally, this prompted you both to speed walk towards the almost-there exit. And, like a light at the end of the tunnel, the way out was in sight. That was until... something sprung out from the shadows. It was big. It was slimy. It was...
"EEEEEEEEK"
'flash'
"That's going in the album!"
"...piebald?"
"Hey there, honey! It's been a while!"
"What are you doing here?"
At this point, Leo, who somehow got behind you peeked out all fidgety still.
"Well, I figured that this would be the ideal part-time job. Tryin' to earn some money for my new tank. The place is nice, but needs some feminine touches."
"Ooh~ that's great! Say, you wouldn't mind sending me that pic, would you?"
You walked out of the horror house with a smug smirk directed at your defeated boyfriend. And he, he didn't like that. Not only did he look super lame, but he also lost! He LOsT! So he did the next most logical thing. Grabbing your slick, black blazer he gently yet quickly tugged you upwards. To his beak. Kissing you. Your first kiss. On the lips.
"Wipe the smug smile off your face."
"Hmm, I dunno I'm gonna have to think about it. Give me another and I just might."
Donnie
"Am I hallucinating? Or is that stall just west of us, selling automatons to unsupervised children on Halloween?"
Looking toward the direction you indicated, there was indeed, a stall filled to the brim with mechanical trinkets and gizmos. On the center stage of the stall was an intricately made wooden robotic cat. And being the pair of science nerds you and Donnie were, you both immediately squeezed through the crowd of people and toward the stall. Upon closer inspection, the stall was filled specifically with animal and insect-themed robots such as spiders and bats. All were intricately made with various materials ranging from wood to silver to copper.
"The machinations within also seemed to be incorporated properly as well. Tell me, good fellow, did you make these all by yourself."
The vendor enthusiastically replied yes. Stating that each piece was handmade and, literally, took them days to accomplish. Understandable, considering the meticulousness that came from both building and designing such creations.
"May we take a look at this one, please?" You said. Pointing at the cat that had drawn you to this stall in the first place.
The vendor nodded and gently removed the mechanism from its case and onto the table in front of you.
"So tell us, how does this exactly work?"
The vendor gave the both of you a long look before smiling and said, "Well for a start, you'll need a knife."
You and Donnie nodded in unison.
"And then you cut it."
...
"eXCusE uS?!"
"Will you be buying this one? I would like to demonstrate if so."
Let's just say that you and Donnie had to dish up all your Halloween candy money to buy it. Was it a worthwhile spend? Short answer, yes. After having paid for it, the vendor proceeded to unsheathe their knife and cut into the robot. First came the crunching from the exterior. Then came the strong smell of...chocolate? There was no wheezing of cut-in-half gears or the static of also cut-in-half wires. Just very, very, gooey chocolate cake. They then proceeded to push the slice toward you and Donnie. Unsurely, he took a piece of the cake and into his mouth. Don't get him wrong, the cake was heavenly, almost divine. But his brain just could not comprehend what just happened.
"d!...D!...Donnie!"
Donnie turned towards you. Eyebrows raised in confusion. How were you not phased by this?! Apparently, his expression was very readable since you said, "Hyper-realistic cake. I've never seen it in person but they have been going viral. Also, you have some chocolate on your face. Mind if I?"
Donnie only nodded. Still completely out of it when you gently wiped a napkin across his bottom lip. Swiping at the gooey chocolate. You giggled when, despite being so obviously rattled to the shell, he still reacted shyly to your touch as a soft blush started to dust his cheeks. It took a while before the two of you could arrive at the meeting point i.e the same place where everyone split up, only to find the rest of the turtles still arguing about which direction to go. Raph, having been facing your general direction, saw you and Donnie and the expensive cake placed in a transparent plastic box in your hands.
"Please don't tell me you used all your Halloween money on that."
"It was a worth it buy."
Mikey
"Mikey! Look!"
You excitedly poke Mikey's paper mache pumpkin as you point toward the line of stalls selling jack-o-lanterns and carved candles.
"It's our people!"
As fast as you both could in your jack-o-lantern costumes, you waddled toward the stalls hand in hand. You both first went to the candle stalls, becoming immediately drawn to the details and colors of each one. Some had solid colors. Others had layers of black, white, and orange. All of them were carved in elegant petal-like designs that curved sometimes inward, sometimes outward, till they reached the bottom of the candle. They even had cats and witches carved into them. There was one in particular that caught your eye. It was a scented cinnamon candle with a green outer layer with the inside being an arrangement of oranges and yellow. It would look perfect in Mikey's room aesthetic.
"See something you like babe?"
"Oh, nothing much. They're all so beautiful."
You were definitely buying that behind his back. Of course, you couldn't forget about your fellow jack-o-lanterns on display. There were small ones, ones as big as your head, some smooth and others rough. There were even some that you could use like a mask and some that sold them as candy buckets filled with Halloweeny goodness. You both definitely bought a matching pair of buckets. There were some pies in your buckets that Mikey just had to get the recipe too.
"I'll be right back. I gotta know the secret to this pie."
"Alright, I'll be waiting here.
Of course, you weren't. While Mikey waddled back to the bucket stall determined to get that recipe, you waddled back to the candle stall. And, to your luck, it was still there! You excitedly beckoned to the vendor for it. They gladly wrapped it up for you. Like they really wrapped it up. Bubble wrap and all.
"It's very fragile. So be very careful with it." The vendor advised as they handed you the bubble-wrapped candle in exchange for your money.
"I will! Thank you!"
Very, very carefully, you placed the candle in the deepest pocket of your soft crocheted jack-o-lantern costume. Were you glad you decided to crochet those in. Quickly, well as fast as you could, you waddled back to where Mikey left you just in time to see him waddling back to you.
"Someone is making pumpkin pie tonight! Come on, we better get back."
You giggled at his excitement. The candle you gave to him at the layer. He never did use it. "Art too precious to tarnish" he would say. He definitely asked Donnie for the meaning of tarnish.

Firehouse Harrington - Chapter 6
fireman!Steve x f!reader/f!oc
series masterlist
It's Thanksgiving and Steve is trying to be better for his girl (what's new?) but he's going to be tested when someone from his past comes to visit.
warnings | 18+ SMUT, actually pretty sweet sex but also some nasty stuff too bc... it's steve, angst, EMOTIONS everywhere, my lord
a/n | um, this one is long, babes. but it's also very sweet, at least for steve. enjoy :)
It’s Thanksgiving day, and Steve’s at the station, and in the doghouse. He was supposed to be spending today with his girl, but when he got back to work on Monday and the chief was asking who could pick up Thanksgiving, Steve had volunteered himself like he always did, not even thinking about how this year he actually had someone he could spend the day with. When he called her that night and admitted what he had done, the disappointment in the sigh she let out went right down his spine. Since last week, Steve had been trying to be on his best behavior. It had scared him, watching her get ready to walk out the door and never come back, mostly because he hadn’t realized just how much it’d destroy him if she actually did it. He knew it was inevitable, she’d find something better, if not someone better, and she would leave. But Steve wanted to hang onto her as long as he could, keep chasing that ray of sun until he was left back in the shade. However, it was seeming that no matter how hard he tried, he just kept fucking up.
“Well, okay, Steve. I guess we could do it on Saturday instead? Why don’t we invite Robin to join us too? She told me she’d be back in town after Friday.” Steve had tried not to groan at that. He really didn’t like that she and Robin seemed to have become fast friends. His jaw had all but dropped on the floor when she had jokingly called him “king Steve” one day, telling him with a laugh that Robin had shared a few memories with her. But, he was trying to be better, and being better meant agreeing to having Robin over for their makeshift Thanksgiving.
The actual holiday was always a bit of a clusterfuck for the station. Idiots trying to deep fry their birds seven different ways, grandmas setting off smoke alarms with cigars from the “old country,” and for some reason, hoosiers had a particular affinity for setting off fireworks after they were good and stuffed with butter and carbs. They had several calls throughout the day, but by the time seven o’clock rolled around, the city of Indianapolis seemed to be good and sedated by turkey, and Steve and the other men working that day were finally pulling back into the station for hopefully the last time that night. What he wasn’t expecting, however, was to see someone sitting on the stoop outside the door to the station. As they’re stepping down from the truck, the person rounds the corner of the garage and Steve’s heart kicks in his chest when he sees that it’s his girl, all bundled up in the frigid night and carrying two large bags that Steve recognizes from the burger joint down the block. He’s left speechless as she toes her way into the garage, a small smile on her face as she tilts her head at him, lifting up the bags.
“It’s not exactly turkey, but I figure it’ll do under the circumstances.” The other two men Steve’s working with tonight are young rookies, all the older men having family to be at home with, and they're watching her like she’s a damn angel descending from heaven. Steve finally cracks into action, a grin splitting his face as he takes one of the bags from her and wraps an arm around her waist.
“Miller, Thompson, this is my girl.”
Luckily, because they are rookies, the two other men have yet to get steeped in the misogyny that runs rampant in the station, and are nothing but polite to her as they welcome her in and help her lay out food on the kitchen counter. Steve would normally hate the idea of her coming around here, but with the rest of the crew gone, and after another stupidly tedious holiday shift, all he can do is smile like a dope as she feeds him a french fry. His two coworkers thank her profusely, loading their arms up with food and heading to their bunks to give the couple “some alone time.” Steve barely nods at their words, too focused on her leaning back against the counter and sipping a milkshake. Once the two men are gone, Steve finally clears his throat.
“Um– I wasn’t– you” She just laughs, stepping forward and wrapping her arms around his waist.
“Just eat your burger, Harrington. You can thank me later.”
They sit on the grubby sofa in the station, eating and talking quietly. Steve tells her about the man who had tried to build his own deep fryer and ended up setting off a small explosion in his backyard that sent his turkey flying through an upstairs window of the house next door. Her laugh is contagious and they both end up gasping for breath at the ridiculousness of the story. Steve can’t remember the last time he laughed so hard.
Food wrappers abandoned, they both slump back into the couch, heads tilted lazily to look at each other. He brings his palm down to stroke up and down her thigh, letting out a sigh.
“Thank you. For this. You didn’t have–” She cuts him off, scooting closer and resting her hand on his chest.
“Steve, I wanted to. And you’re very welcome.” For once, he drops it, simply smiling and dipping forward to drop a quick kiss to her lips before pulling back.
“Did you, uh, talk to your folks today?” She nods. She had explained to him that her family lived across the country on the west coast and while she was still on talking terms with them, she avoided going home as much as possible. Steve could certainly understand that.
“Yeah, I did. I told them about you.” His heart jolts up into his throat at her words, eyebrows raising. He squeezes her thigh.
“You did?” She smiles, nodding again.
“Mmhmm. My sister thinks it’s hot that you’re a fireman.” He sputters out a laugh, shaking his head, but she seems to have something else in mind, carding her fingers through his hair to get him to look at her.
“I’m inclined to agree with her.” With that, she’s shifting on the couch to swing her leg over his hip, straddling his thighs and wrapping her arms around his neck. Steve’s hands instinctively go to the plush of her thighs, fingers flexing. She’s already nosing along his neck, making Steve shiver, but he collects himself enough to speak, making her still in his lap.
“Hey, hey. We can’t, baby. Not here with those guys just a wall away.” She whines into his neck.
“Steve–”
“No. I’m serious, doll, you better watch it.” She huffs, and when she finally pulls back from his neck, she gives him an actual pout that he can’t help but surge forward to kiss away. But when he pulls back, there’s a new glint in her eyes. She leans forward, grazing her lips along his ear before whispering.
“What if we took this somewhere else, Stevie?” He both hates and loves it when she calls him that and it makes him groan.
“You know I can’t leave the station, baby.” She grins.
“Who said anything about leaving the station?”
That’s how Steve finds himself in the jumpseat of one of the firetrucks with her in his lap, gasping between sloppy kisses as he squeezes her ass to grind her down against him. He pulls back with a lewd pop, looking into her wild eyes.
“You know, doll, I didn’t get any dessert.” She doesn’t seem to follow where he’s going with this, scoffing and rolling her eyes.
“Are you serious right now? Steve, you had a milkshake, was that not sweet enough for–” She’s cut off when he lands a harsh smack to her ass, making her gasp and lurch forward into his chest.
“Watch that tone, pretty. And what I want a taste of is a lot sweeter than any milkshake.” His other hand digs into the front of her jeans, cupping her wet heat and she seems to get it now, whimpering out a soft “oh” at his harsh touch. He strokes through her folds, dipping his fingers into her entrance and dragging the wetness pooling there up to her clit as she grinds down into his palm. He presses a kiss to her temple before dragging his lips along her cheek to speak into her ear.
“Stand up, baby. We’re gonna switch spots and then daddy’s gonna have his dessert.” He helps her up, not missing how shaky she seems to be on her legs, before helping her peel off her jeans and panties as she sits back in the car seat. Steve kneels between her legs, pressing a kiss to the inside of each of her knees before drawing them over his shoulders and dragging her ass to the edge of the seat. It’s cramped, there’s no two ways about it, her feet pressing into the wall of the cab behind him and her hands trying to find purchase on the roof of the truck as he starts to work her over. She’s a writhing mess as he licks long, lazy strokes through her folds, sighing and huffing above him. He leans back just to spit on her cunt, watching the way it drips down to mix with her own wetness. She whimpers under his hard gaze.
“Daddy, please don’t tease me– need it bad.” He chuckles before landing a slap to the inside of her thigh, causing her to yelp.
“Don’t be pushy, doll. Daddy’s gonna take all the time he wants. Because this pretty little pussy is all mine, yeah?” She nods, letting out a breathy “mmhmm” when he kisses her clit.
“And I can do whatever I want with it, right, baby?” She nods again, but he wants more from her and lays a quick smack against her clit that makes her hips buck in his hold. It’s a whine when she speaks.
“Yes, daddy. S’all yours– you can do whatever you want– just, please–” He shushes her.
“S’okay, pretty. I’ve got you. So fucking sweet. Daddy’s gonna take care of you.” His last words come out a murmur as he dips back into her cunt, licking into her before sweeping up to her clit and sucking hard around the little bud. The moan she lets out makes his brain go hazy with her as she drags her fingers through his hair, pulling lightly at the roots as he continues to lick at her clit. She starts to grind her hips against his mouth and Steve groans.
“That’s it, doll. Take what you want. Fuck, you taste so good.” She preens at his words, arching out of the car seat as he slips two fingers into her.
“Feels so good, daddy– p-please don’t stop.” He can feel her already tightening up on his fingers as he pumps them into her.
“You close, baby? You gonna come on daddy’s fingers?” She nods frantically, her eyes scrunched shut as she lets out a high-pitched “mmhmm.”
“I want your eyes on me when you come. Open those pretty eyes for me, doll.” When she doesn’t listen, he slips his other hand up her front to harshly grip her jaw, making her eyes shoot open as she gasps at the pain.
“That’s it, pretty. Eyes on me.” He dips back down, sucking and nipping at her clit while he fucks her with his fingers. She comes with a broken sigh, hips jerking in his hold as she spasms around his fingers. Steve thinks he could die happy in this position, between the softness of her thighs with the pretty sounds of her breathy whimpers ringing in his ears. He finally pulls away, leaving a sloppy kiss to each of her thighs. As he wipes her slick from his chin with the back of his hand, he takes in the sight of her, flushed and slumped down in the seat. She quirks an eyebrow at him.
“Your sweet tooth satisfied now?” He grins palming his aching hardness as he looks her over.
“Way better than pumpkin pie.”
“Steve? Can you go pick up the pumpkin pie this morning? The bakery opens at ten but I need to get to work on all this cooking.” He cranes his neck from where he’s sitting on the couch, his heart squeezing at the sight of her in his kitchen. She’s the sweetest image in one of his sweatshirts, an apron tied around her hips hiding the fact that she’s also only wearing a pair of his boxers. But his attention is quickly pulled to the seeming bomb of ingredients that’s gone off across his countertops. He gets up, shuffling into the kitchen and watching her poring over a cookbook.
“Yeah, I’ll go, um– are you sure we need to make this much food? S’just you, me, and Robin.” She stills where she had been flipping through the book.
“Babe? It is just you, me, and Robin, right?” She finally looks at him, offering a very nervous little smile. Steve feels like he’s going to blow a gasket already but she’s quick to slide over to him in her socked feet, pressing her palms into his chest and rubbing lightly.
“Look, don’t freak out, ok? But Robin told me one of your other friends was in town this weekend and I may have told her to invite him.” Steve blinks hard a few times.
“You what?” She huffs.
“Steve, don’t get weird. He’s a friend of yours after all.”
“He? Who– who is he?” She furrows her brow.
“Crap, I can’t actually remember his name. Um, something Munyan– wait, no– uh, Munroe?” Steve’s jaw goes slack.
“Are you telling me Eddie Munson is coming to dinner?” Her face splits into a grin and she slaps his chest lightly.
“That’s it! Robin told me it’s been a while since he’s been back in Indiana so it’ll be nice for you all to catch up.” She’s smiling so brightly at him it’s hard to stay mad at her. Steve’s taken to counting to ten to keep himself from saying things he knows he shouldn’t. It works, sometimes. He finally huffs, scrunching his eyes shut before looking at her again and nodding.
“Alright, alright. I’ll um– I guess I’ll go get that pie.” She lands a quick kiss to his lips, grinning up at him again.
“Good. Be quick, yeah? You’re on turkey duty.”
The later in the day it gets, the tighter the knot in Steve’s stomach winds. He hasn’t seen Eddie in years, not since Steve went overseas. All he knew was that Eddie had moved down south, seeking the money that was to be made working the oil rigs in the gulf of Mexico. He never wrote, never called, and he figured that Eddie liked it that way, putting everything behind him and Steve couldn’t blame him for that.
The only thing keeping Steve sane is her, dancing around him in the kitchen, a swirl of chopping vegetables and filling up casserole dishes. He’s never cooked a turkey before, never any reason to, but he takes to the task diligently because he wants to impress her. The sun is just starting to set as he leans back against the counter, bird in the oven and dish towel over his shoulder. He swats her hands away as she goes to peek into the oven and she scoffs at him.
“S’almost done, baby, go get changed.” She smiles, looking down at her now smudged-up apron over her pantsless legs.
“Get changed? What’s wrong with this?” He slides over to her, grabbing her hips and squeezing as she laughs in his grip. He plants a few mushy kisses to her lips, murmuring about how she’s “such a menace” in between them until she finally pulls away to saunter into his bedroom with a huff. A sting runs through his chest as, for a moment, he can imagine them doing this for the rest of their lives, his mind wandering to the image of a baby on her hip as they shuffle around their kitchen. He has to scrub a harsh hand through his hair to clear the thought from his mind.
His brain is further scattered when the doorbell rings. Steve freezes, but luckily she’s just then coming back out of his bedroom wearing that dress he loves, fixing an earring as she marches over to the door.
Steve hears him before he sees him. First there’s the sound of her and Robin greeting each other. But Steve would recognize that raspy voice anywhere.
“Well, hello. You must be the catch Robs has been telling me about. Blink twice if Harrington’s holding you against your will.” Yep, that’s Munson alright.
Eddie comes flouncing into the kitchen, her and Robin following behind. Steve thinks that he looks about the same. His hair is a little shorter, but otherwise, he’s still got that shit-eating grin that Steve remembers. Eddie’s eyes crinkle when he sees Steve, already opening his arms up for a hug that Steve was not expecting.
“Long time no see, big boy, bring it in.”
They get all the food laid out on the dining table, everyone humming at how good everything looks and Steve feels a warm bloom of pride in his chest that he did this, with his girl, together. She squeezes his hand as they all sit down, offering him a smile and Steve thinks for a minute that it’ll be alright after all. And then Eddie opens his mouth.
“So Robin told me you’re, like, super smart. Is that why you’re with Steve? Are you running experiments on him?” Steve would like to drag him across the table and knock his lights out right then, but she takes it in stride, laughing politely.
“Oh, god, no. It’s, um, actually kinda funny how we met. Steve was on duty when there was a fire in my dorm and, uh, the rest is history I guess.” It’s a total lie, and Steve loves her for it as she glances at him out of the corner of her eye, a small reassurance.
The rest of the dinner goes off as smooth as it can. Eddie tells them about his time down in the gulf (“back-breaking stuff, man. I still get the heebies anytime I fill up my car”) and explains that he’s planning on coming back to Indiana for good, using the money he saved up to go back to school to become a teacher. Steve can’t help but snort at that and Eddie tilts his head at him.
“Something funny, Stevie?” Steve shrugs.
“Can’t imagine you being a teacher, Munson. I don’t remember you caring much for school.” Eddie chuckles, shaking his head.
“People change, Steve, you know that better than most. Besides, I’ll be teaching music, not boring bullshit.” Her eyes are darting between the men, Robin looking on a bit nervously as well. It’s meaningless jabs, but Eddie’s “you know better than most” has a weight to it that everyone seems to pick up on. She eventually clears her throat, squeezing Steve’s hand as she smiles at Eddie.
“Well, I think that’s great, Eddie. You know, there’s really interesting MRI research coming out about how good music is for our brains. They’re starting to use it as palliative treatment for people with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.” It’s a successful maneuver away from whatever the elephant in the room is. Eddie rests his chin in his palm as he looks at her.
“I’ll be damned, is that right? Tell me more, sweetheart, that sounds wild.”
It’s over dessert that Eddie excuses himself for a smoke break. She and Robin are chatting easily over cups of coffee and slices of pie. Steve squeezes her shoulder, murmuring that he’s going to go keep Eddie company.
Steve gets outside just as Eddie’s lighting up, leaning up against the wall of his apartment building. He grins around his cigarette.
“You wanna bum one, Harrington? Or did you quit?” Steve waves him off, leaning on the wall next to him.
“Been trying to at least. She’ll kill me if she smells it on me.” Eddie laughs, whistling lowly.
“So you’re whipped, huh?” Steve scoffs, going to protest  but Eddie continues.
“It’s a good look on you, man. You seem– I don’t know– lighter.” Steve raises an eyebrow at him, but Eddie just shrugs.
“I’m just saying. You better hold onto that one. She’s the real deal.” Steve sighs.
“Yeah, I know, Ed.” There’s a beat of silence before Eddie speaks again.
“Robs told me you had another close call.” Steve huffs at that, crossing his arms over his chest.
“You’re getting older, Harrington. Don’t you think it’s time you–” Steve turns on him, his eyes flashing and Eddie puts up his hands in surrender.
“Did she put you up to this?” Eddie’s face scrunches in confusion.
“What? No, man. But I can’t blame her if she’s saying the same thing. Listen, Steve, I get it, really. Why do you think I went running down south to work my ass off on a fucking rig? It wasn’t exactly for the scenery.” Eddie sighs, blowing out a puff of smoke before going on.
“But, it’s just stupid. Trying to keep running, to keep fighting. You– we deserve to get on with life.  At least that’s what I figure.” Steve sighs, plucking the cigarette right from Eddie’s mouth and taking a long drag before handing it back to him. Eddie glances at him.
“What did you wanna do? Before?” Steve laughs, shaking his head.
“I didn’t have a fucking clue what I wanted to do. I was working shit jobs that went nowhere, even before.” Eddie offers him the cigarette again and Steve takes it with a muttered “don’t fucking tell her” that makes Eddie laugh.
“Well, listen, as your friend? I’m telling you that you deserve to figure out what the fuck you actually want to do, not what numbs your brain out enough to forget the past.” Steve just nods, stamping out the butt before glancing back at Eddie.
“So, you’re really back for good?” Eddie grins, nodding.
“Certified, man. I’m starting at IU after the holidays.” Steve chuckles.
“Eddie Munson, a college man. Who would’ve thought.”
“Hey, if I can do it, so can you, Harrington. Think about it.” They both sigh and Steve kicks off the wall.
“I will, really. C’mon, we should head back up. I fear what those two could accomplish left alone together.” Eddie chuckles, clapping Steve on the back.
“It’s good to be back, Steve. And it’s good to see you found someone. She’s a keeper, man.”
“I know, Ed. I know.”
She sends Robin and Eddie off with tin-foil wrapped plates stacked high with leftovers and Steve tries not to blow a fuse when Eddie lays a wet, smacking smooch to her cheek, grinning like the devil he is before slinking out the door. Robin huffs, smiling apologetically at her.
“Apologies for the large man-child, he means well. Thank you guys for Thanksgiving part two though, it was great!” Steve draws his friend into a brisk side hug before she’s out the door as well. His girl shuts the door, turning and looking at him with a broad smile.
“Well?” He raises his eyebrows at her as she pads over to him, drawing her palms up his chest to wrap behind his neck. She presses a soft kiss to his lips.
“Was it a good thanksgiving?” Steve huffs, wrapping his arms around her waist to pull her closer against him.
“Munson aside? First good one I ever had, doll.” That earns him a grin and she leans in for another kiss that he tries to deepen, chasing after her lips but to no avail.
“We make a good team, baby.” Steve hums at that, once again trying to steal another kiss but she slides her palms down to press into his chest again.
“Gotta clean up, team.” He groans, but reluctantly follows her back into the kitchen to tackle the mess of dishes that’s been left in the aftermath of dinner. It’s quiet and it’s easy as they work. She washes and he dries, and again Steve feels that sting in his chest imagining them doing this after putting their imaginary kids to bed. He knows it’s ridiculous to even think this way. She’s never even mentioned wanting or not wanting kids, and why would she? Still, part of him can’t help but hope that there’s even a small chance she’d want her future to have him in it. He’s brought out of his head by the sound of her humming as she scrubs another pan. He sets down his dishtowel, sliding behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist as he digs his nose into her neck, breathing her in. She huffs under his attention.
“We’re not done, Steve.” He groans, his voice coming out as a mumble into her skin.
“There’s only, like, two pans left, babe. I say we’re done for tonight.” She gives in, setting the pan she had been working on down in the sink and drying her hands off on a rag before letting her palms rest over his forearms circling her waist. Steve starts to press kisses up the sweep of her neck, his teeth grazing the hinge of her jaw as she shudders in his arms.
“Look so pretty, tonight, honey. Wearing my favorite dress.” She sighs, letting him sway them a little side to side as he continues to nip at her skin.
“Wore it for you. Was trying to distract you from being so pissed off at Eddie.” Steve huffs into her neck, drawing his hands down to palm the swell of her thighs.
“It worked. Think I would’ve throttled him if I didn’t have you next to me.” She sighs as his hands continue to run up and down the outside of her thighs, ghosting over her hips before dipping back down to thumb at the hem of her dress. She twists in his hold, threading her fingers through the back of his hair and looking up at him in a way that makes his hands shake. Her voice is just a whisper when she speaks.
“I love you, Steve.” He feels his face melt into a smile, pulling her closer by her waist.
“You do?” She grins, nodding, and they kiss around their shared dopey smiles. Steve pulls away, pressing his forehead against hers.
“Fuck, baby– I love you so much.” And with that he’s diving in for a deeper kiss that makes her gasp into his mouth as he licks into her. Without knowing it, he’s walking her back until she’s pressed into the counter, hoisting her up onto it and settling between her legs. Her fingers start to fumble with the buttons of his shirt and Steve’s quick to help her, pulling it up over his head and tossing it aside. Her palms smooth up his chest, and she hooks her legs behind his thighs to draw him in closer. He breaks away to lay kisses along her shoulder, reaching back to tug the zipper of her dress down until it’s loose enough for her to shrug out of the sleeves. Taking in the sight of her, Steve lets out a low groan.
“Baby, no bra?” She grins and shrugs.
“Doesn’t work with the dress, Stevie.” He huffs, not really answering as he’s already dipping down to lay harsh bites across the tops of her breasts. She gasps as he takes one of her nipples into his mouth, teeth grazing the bud until she’s tugging lightly at his hair to pull him back up for a kiss that’s all pressing tongues and harsh gasps. Her hands wander again, this time down to his belt but Steve’s quick to grab hold of both her wrists in one palm.
“Hey, hey. Lemme take care of you first, doll.” She sighs, her brow furrowing.
“Just want you, daddy. Wanna feel you.” Steve feels like his head is going to explode at her words and the way she’s looking up at him from under her eyelashes. He tries to steady himself, guiding her palms to rest on his bare chest.
“Just Steve tonight, alright, pretty? Want you to say my name while I fuck you.” She smiles at that, dragging her hands up to clasp behind his neck and pull him into another kiss, pulling away just so their lips are barely brushing and whispering “ok, Steve.” Something in him snaps at her sweet words and he grips the plush of her ass, murmuring for her to wrap her legs around him, and he hoists her up off the counter as they continue to smear sloppy kisses into each other’s skin.
He starts to pad out of the kitchen, but his foot gets caught on the rug in front of the sink and they both wind up on the floor. She’s dissolving into laughter underneath him as he presses up onto his hands to check that she’s not hurt. She’s not, but Steve’s ego might be. She catches the furrowed look on his face and sighs.
“Don’t pout, baby. You were just being efficient. Now we don’t have to go all the way to the bedroom.” He can’t help but laugh at that, shaking his head at her words.
“Always such a smart mouth.” She doesn’t get a reply in as he dips down to steal another sloppy kiss. Steve thinks fleetingly that they probably look like a mess. They’re sprawled out on his kitchen floor, her dress all rucked around her hips, his belt buckle hanging open. But he doesn’t care, not when she’s drawing his hips down into hers by hooking her leg around his ass. Steve smacks one more kiss to her lips before leaning back to drag her dress the rest of the way down her hips, his hands skating back up her legs to slide her panties off too. He sits back on his haunches, fumbling with his belt, taking in her splayed figure as she tilts her head and grins at him. His hands still.
“What’re you looking at, doll?”
“You, Steve. So lovely like this.” He huffs at her words, knowing that if he thinks too hard about them he’ll dissolve right on the spot. He quickly shrugs his pants and boxers down enough to slide his aching cock out, leaning back over her and running the tip through her folds. They both sigh at the contact, and she rucks one knee up to his hip, wrapping her arms around his shoulders as he dips into her. He stills for a moment, searching her face.
“Are you sure you don’t want me to work you open first, pretty?” She scrunches her face, tilting her hips to try to coax him deeper but he brings one palm down to the softness of her belly, pressing her into stillness.
“Hey. Need your words, doll. Be good for me, huh?” She frowns, brushing some of his hair out of his face.
“I just wanna feel you, Steve. Want you inside me.” He presses a kiss to her pouted lips, letting his hips roll forward with a deep groan. She arches up into him when his hips finally press against hers, offering up the arc of her throat for him to nose along as she sighs.
“Always so perfect for me, doll– fuck– tell me when I can move.” She tells him on a breathy exhale that she’s ready and he lets his lips smear over hers as he pulls out, slowly rolling into a rhythm that pushes and pulls both their bodies. It feels different, and not just because they’re splayed on his kitchen floor. Something heady is pulling at the hilt of his spine, pressing his thrusts deeper as she cants her hips to meet him. He’s devouring her, swallowing her gasps and whimpers as he licks into her mouth. It’s embarrassing how quickly the pleasure is closing in around him.
“Feels so good, Steve– so full– fuck, don’t stop.” She dissolves into a cracked chant of his name and Steve’s head is swimming in it.
He brings his hand up to her jaw, skating his thumb along her bottom lip. She’s quick to wrap her mouth around the digit, laving her tongue over the pad of his thumb and it makes Steve’s eyes roll back in his head. He takes his thumb from her mouth with a lewd pop, bringing his hand town to swipe over her clit. Her hips jerk in his hold and he feels her clench down hard around him.
“Fuck, baby– need you to come for me– need to feel it so bad.” She whimpers his name, eyes scrunching closed as her nails dig into his shoulder blades.
“Eyes on me, pretty. Wanna see you when you come– c’mon, baby.” Her eyes blow wide as she lets out a broken cry and the way she pulses around him as she comes undone sends Steve over the edge with her, pressing his hips deep into hers as he spills inside of her. They’re both panting, a slick sheen of sweat keeping them stuck together in their embrace. Steve dips his face into her neck, leaving light kisses as he trails up to her jaw, and then to her lips. When he pulls away she’s grinning beneath him.
“I love you, Steve. I really mean it.” For a moment, Steve stills, taking in the sight of his girl. His girl. He almost can’t believe it’s all real, but when she pulls him back down for another kiss, for once all the thoughts muddying his mind go quiet. He smiles against her lips.
“I love you too. Fuck, you’re incredible.” She hums, carding her fingers through his hair. As they stay there, sprawled on his kitchen floor, probably for longer than they should, Steve feels something spreading in his chest. A notion, a hope really, that for her, he might be able to be better. He really wants to be better.

Revelations
Donquixote Rosinante x gn!Reader
December 13th 2023 Words: 888 CW: SFW, Fluff, modern AU, established relationship, food, Rosinante’s nickname is Cora or Corazon
It was Christmas Day and that meant your brother-in-law was coming to dinner. You were worried because he had high expectations and your partner... well, he's a bit clumsy. Let's see if Corazon's wish for a perfect Christmas dinner comes true.
Tumblr media
"We'll have smoked salmon with beetroot and vodka crème fraîche as an appetizer, roast turkey with lemon, parsley and garlic as the main course, with scalloped potatoes and cacio e pepe Brussels sprouts as a side dish. And for dessert, we'll have vanilla-infused panna cotta with a pomegranate glaze. How does that sound?" Cora smiled as he read the Christmas menu to you.
"Sounds wonderful, how can I help?" you asked as you tied on your apron.
"You can start with the potatoes while I stuff the turkey."
"All right."  You smiled and began to peel the potatoes. You had a certain routine in the kitchen, so it was no big deal to clean and thinly slice the potatoes. Occasionally you watched Cora struggle with the turkey. You could see that he was very focused on what he was doing because his tongue stuck out a little, and that brought a warm smile to your face.
The two of you worked in sync and finished the preparation in no time. You had already prepared the plates for the starters and dessert, so nothing could go wrong with those dishes. Meanwhile, Cora was already putting the turkey in the oven, since it would take the most time to cook.
"All done, thank you." Cora came over and gave you a kiss on the cheek.
"Anytime." You smiled as you set the table.
The afternoon passed in eerie harmony. Cora didn't set anything on fire or trip over his own feet. It was suspicious. An hour before Doflamingo arrived for dinner, you showered and dried your hair. You were about to put on your favorite Christmas sweater when you heard a loud bang coming from the kitchen. You threw your sweater on the bed, ran downstairs, and found Cora on the floor with the still-raw turkey in his lap and shards all around him. The glass of the oven door was shattered, and he looked like a beaten puppy.
"Oh dear ... What happened?" You helped him up and wiped the broken pieces off him. He placed the turkey on the counter.
"I ... I checked on the turkey and ... noticed that the oven wasn't on at all and somehow ... the door ... broke and I got scared and ... the turkey ... somehow ... flew right into my lap." Corazon stood there stunned, looking at the broken oven door.
You looked at the clock. "It's not your fault, Cora. We'll find a solution," you said, reassuring the big man with a gentle hug. "Go get ready so you're ready when your brother arrives, and I'll find a solution.
"Why is everything closed on Christmas Day?" You complained as you drove around town trying to find a place to get something to eat. After cleaning up the mess while Cora got ready, the two of you decided to get takeout for the main course. The turkey, potatoes, and Brussels sprouts were still raw, and there simply wasn't enough time to get everything ready before Doffy arrived. So, you drove aimlessly and frantically around town while Cora waited for his brother.
After hours of searching for food, you pulled into your driveway and hurried into the house with the food. You were relieved to find Cora and Doffy in the living room, chatting amiably and drinking wine as you sneaked the containers into the kitchen before going to greet your guest.
"I'm back. Hey, Doffy." You hugged your brother-in-law and winked at Cora. "Shall we eat?"
"Ah, finally. I almost had the feeling that Corazon was hiding something from me, but there you are. Fufufufu." Doffy laughed, and I saw Cora start to sweat.
"Oh, are you worried, Doffy?" You teased.
"Of course, I am. I just want what's best for my family." He grinned wickedly.
After serving the prepared starters, you sat down at the table and began to eat. The salmon was delicious, and you complimented Cora on the vodka crème fraîche he had prepared. Even his brother didn't make any snide comments about the food, he even seemed to like it. But you could never be sure because he never took off his sunglasses. You grabbed the empty plates and went into the kitchen to prepare the main course. You were so nervous as you arranged the food neatly on the plates, even adding fresh parsley to make it look home-cooked. You straightened your back and went back into the dining room to serve the plates.
Everyone dug into the warm and delicious smelling food, but you found it hard to eat because you were so nervous. You watched Doffy's every move, and after he took a few bites of his chicken and sides, you were finally able to relax and eat your share without tension.
That was until he spoke.
"Why does this food taste like KFC?"
Silence. You felt like you'd been caught out. Who were you kidding? He was Doflamingo and you thought you could fool him with cheap fried chicken from KFC? Pathetic…
"Because..." You were about to spill everything to him and explain it when Cora interrupted you with a questioning look on his face.
"Wait, how does your gourmet palate know what KFC tastes like?"
The look on Doffy's face was the best Christmas present you could have asked for.

Taking Stiles Stilinski to the Ren Faire
Tumblr media
Fandom: Teen Wolf
What has my coworker made me into taking me to a ren faire.
Reminder, there are male corsets, and they are sexy as fuck. This is not an afab only treat.
Okay, he has never been to a ren faire but has secretly wanted to go so bad.
Like the first time he went to a princess/knights/dragon themed party as a kid, that was it.
His mom mentioned someday they should take him to a ren faire and when she told him what it was there were stars in his eyes.
He never got to though.
One one hand he was hyperventilating overhearing you like and go to them.
On the other you know how he tries to 'act cool' because he's and idiot and tries saying that's lame, with a strain to his voice because he wants to go so bad.
Scott's the one who spills his secret, confused little head tilt and
"Didn't you always want to go to one of those when we were kids?"
Tries shushing Scott and pulling him away from you and threatening wolfsbane.
Read the room McCall.
But because you know this idiot you eventually end up inviting him to go along with you, and there's no way he would turn down an actual invitation.
So freaking excited, wants to put out a warning message to all things supernatural not to DARE fuck this up the day of the ren faire (going first day for best vendors, duh.)
He wants your help and opinions for an outfit, he will not go naked. has a huge pinterest board on a hidden account for inspo.
Ends up with a simple costume and cape because you remind him there will be so much stuff he'll want to get for his garb there.
At your house and hour early and practically vibrating when you were already planning to leave to arrive when it starts.
He sees you still getting ready and jaw drops. You decided to get dressed at home this time and he sees you adjusting yourself in your corset.
audibly squeaks when you suck in, pull the strings and cinch your corset. His mouth is open and his eyes are so wide.
Oh god. Oh god. he's dying right now.
From excited rambles about getting there on time to barely a peep as you finish up and usher him out the door.
So excited as soon as he's out of the jeep, bouncing on his feet looking out at all the stalls and tents.
Definitely makes sure you get dragon legs (smoked turkey legs) to eat and disappointed when you inform him that mutton is actually lamb.
Kid in a candy store running around, loves listening to the minstrels and buys cds.
For trying to deny interest, he is acting like the biggest nerd there. Dragging you around the check out every stall and being a little miffed when there's some 'too modern' things for sale.
You HAVE to go watch the sword fighting.
"Psh, I've fought werewolves. I could take that guy." You tell him to challenge the big guy with a wooden sword fighting little kids and he's on his ass in no time. Made the guy's day though/
His allowance and entire budget usually saved for buying Lydia gifts goes to good items and merch.
He wants to get you something matching and will really scrutinize things at random??
Loves getting pamphlets for future ren faires, always asking when you're going next. You smirk at him send Scott pictures throughout the day.
If there's stuff like jousting he is at the front of the crowd whether you're there or not.
Is so glad there's multiple changing tents so he can put on his new things immediately.
Absolutely wipeD and falls asleep on the couch still in his cape and amazon-discount leather boots. His Dad just gives you a tired questioning look and goes on his way. Makes sure the cape has him covered for the night.
The next day your friends ask if he had a good time, knowing full well with all the pictures and little videos they got.
He tries to play it off and just say how it "wasn't too bad, the drag-turkey legs were pretty good." You just roll your eyes and Malia punches his shoulder.

Running Eyeliner
Eddie Munson x F!Reader (from this previous fic) From these August Prompts:  “Running Eyeliner” A/N: We all need a bestie like Eddie. Word Count: 826 Mentions of drugs, fighting with parents, crying. Hurt and Comfort. Angsty. Stranger Things Taglist: @drabbles-mc @justreblogginfics
Tumblr media
Crying outside of the club in the middle of a snowstorm wasn’t exactly on your to-do list today but yet here you were, sitting alone on the back steps to the venue that Eddie had been waiting to play at all week. So on top of getting kicked out, your car getting towed, you could add missing your best friends gig to the list.
“Yo, Model T, where the hell were you? You missed the whole show!” You weren’t shocked to hear Eddie’s voice but the reminder of your car from the nickname he gave you along with the reminder of his gig sent you into another sob. “Woah, woah, woah, sorry, I’m just messin’ with you, I mean I missed you at the show but like no reason to cry about it.” He was now quickly making his way down the stairs you were sitting on.
As he plopped down next to you, his hand instinctively moved around your shoulder to bring you in closer to him, he let in a big inhale, smelling the stain of cigarettes on you and immediately putting two and two together.
“Somethin’ happen with your parents?” His shoulders slumped before he even asked, it was like he knew the answer. You didn’t smoke cigarettes. Joints, sure. Blunts, sure. But the smell of cigarettes was a trait by your junkie parents, inside the house, on the porch, in the yard, anywhere. Eddie was also the only one who knew what something happening with your parents meant. When you stayed home from college to take care of your sick parents, Eddie knew that sick was code word for withdrawal. Since then, they’ve relapsed and gone cold turkey twice. Today just happened to be a relapse day.
“My dad came home, found me and my mom screaming at each other. I found shit stashed in her makeup bag when I was getting ready to come here and I confronted her about it. My dad walked in, high, and made me pack my shit up and leave.” You shook your head as you let out another cry, your hands covering your face while you buried yourself into Eddie’s chest.
He didn’t say anything just yet, just let the hand that was resting on your back move up and cup the crown of your head to bring you closer to him.
“I have no where to go.” The sentence sat with you in a way that made your stomach twist and you felt the urge to throw up but you didn’t.
“Now you know that’s not true. You can always stay with me.” Eddie spoke up now, he would let you cry but he wouldn’t let you believe you had nowhere to go. “At least you got the chance to pack up all your stuff.” He was trying really hard to do the right amount of listening and consoling but that last line caused you to let out another deep sob.
“My stuff!” You sniffled your nose as your head popped up from his chest. “My stuff was in my car which was towed when I was ironically going to get change for the meter.”
“It’s snowing, Model T. Those signs that say ‘no parking when snow covered’ aren’t just for show, ya know.” He laughed a little, not finding this as heartbreaking as you were.
“I’m glad that you find my trauma funny.” Pushing him away you shook your head.
“Come here.” Eddie laughed and brought you closer to him.
“How was the show?” You gave into his grasp.
“Killed my solo, pretty full crowd actually, still noticed you weren’t there, though.”
You nodded, “I’m sad I missed it.”
“We got booked again next week and since you’ll be living with me, you’ll be forced to come and set up.” He teased you.
“Hmmmm, think I’ll just meet you at the show.” You rebutted knowing you did not want to lug all the band's equipment.
“With what car?” Eddie’s eyebrows raised in taunt and you let out a laugh at his statement, despite what he was joking about it was pretty funny.
“God, I must look awful, there’s probably eyeliner running all down my face.” You placed your hands on your face as they ran down your cheeks.
“I don’t know, looks pretty metal to me.” Eddie leaned back to get a good look at you, his hand reached to grab your cheek and smudge the running liner down even more. Eddie jumped up, the action almost making your heart jump out of your body.
“Where are you going?” You asked in shock.
Eddie turned around, crossing his left leg behind his right letting the slippery snow move him down as he bowed slightly.
“We are going to the Hawkins impound lot to break into your chariot, you in?”
Without a second thought you were standing up and running into Eddie, causing both of you to slide on the snow slush.
“I’m in.”

For many Jews, eating potato latkes on Hanukkah is non-negotiable, whether store-bought or made from scratch. But what should we be eating with them?
I’m not talking about the old applesauce vs. sour cream debate (I’m team neither), or about nibbling on a latke while holding a glass of bubbly at a chic Hanukkah soiree (I’m team exhausted mom in bed by 9). I’m talking about practical, everyday stuff: How can latkes be incorporated into a balanced, filling, seasonal meal that won’t leave you nauseous?
The answer was harder to find than I’d anticipated; most people I asked were similarly stumped.
After much contemplation, research and a deep-dive into The Nosher’s Hanukkah archives, here are 13 ways to turn latkes into a complete meal — from the centerpiece of a festive breakfast to a side dish alongside classic brisket.
Crockpot Sweet and Sour Brisket
Throw this together in the morning before work and let the promise of a hearty dinner get you through your day. Make sure to let the flavorful gravy soak into your latkes.
French Onion Brisket
Drawing inspiration from French onion soup, this modern twist on a classic braised brisket is even better when it’s made a day ahead. Serve with your favorite steamed veg.
Juicy Instant Pot Brisket
Tender, sweet-and-savory brisket that’s ready in two hours. The best use for your Instant Pot.
Perfect Roast Chicken
All the secrets, straight from a bubbe’s mouth.
Quick Skillet Roast Chicken
An easy one-skillet chicken for the soul, complete with veggies. Let the latkes soak up all the schmaltzy pan drippings.
Za’atar Fried Chicken with Spicy Thyme Honey
Why not go all in and match fried with fried? Hanukkah fare doesn’t get much better than this herby, succulent, shatteringly crisp fried chicken.
Roast Goose
Hear me out! Decadent, golden roast goose is a long-forgotten Hanukkah tradition from the Middle Ages, but the flavors more than hold up today.
Israeli-Style Turkey Pastrami
Salty, sweet, spiced and ready in a flash. Serve warm, sliced, with mustard and a salad. I recommend this mayo-free Russian health salad for optimal crunch.
Latke Deli Sandwiches
Sub the rye bread in your favorite deli sandwich for two latkes for the ultimate Hanukkah treat. Warning: not for the fainthearted.
Latke Hotdish
A twist on the beloved casserole from the Upper Midwest, this hotdish is topped with mini latkes instead of tater tots. Filled with brisket and a whole load of veg, this is a great way to feed a crowd.
Everything Bagel Latkes
Aka breakfast latkes. You can’t go wrong with topping your latkes with dill-y, lemony cream cheese, lox and everything bagel seasoning. Poached egg optional, but encouraged.
Latke Poutine
Inspired by New York’s Mile End Deli circa 2017, top your latkes with cheese curds and gravy a la classic Canadian poutine. The real miracle of Hanukkah.
Latke Board
A festive take on hot girl dinner (or post-school snack time), this board proves that it only takes a few store-bought additions to turn latkes into an entire meal.

Sinbound- Chapter 8
Summary: Y/n spends the day with Evan and Jee-Yun; Eddie confides in someone about his drunken mistake and makes a rash decision.
Series Masterlist
Tumblr media
Today, Chimney and Maddie were leaving Jee-Yun with Buck today and he asked me to tag along for a little help since I had experience. With the new baby on the way I thought a refresher with young kids would do me a little good. Buck was flying around the place looking for stuff and setting up everything while I stood to the side observing him. He looked like he was in his element and I couldn’t help but feel guilty for taking these kinds of moments away from him. Buck looked over at me and noticed my expression. “What’s the matter?” “Nothing, I think it’s just the hormones.” “But?” “But, I can’t stop thinking about how I took this away from you. I should have told you about Alex sooner.” “It’s definitely the hormones because we’ve been over this a million times. Life led us down this path and now we’re on it together. So relax.” I just smiled at Buck’s response and that’s when someone knocked on the door. “Sounds like they're here.” Buck rushed to answer the door. “Hey. Is that my favorite girl?” Buck scooped Jee-Yun. “Who's that? What's uncle's name?” Maddie asked. “Buck,” replied Jee-Yun. “Look who else it is, it’s aunt y/n/n.” “Hey honey.” I waved at Jee-Yun and she gave me a shy wave back. “She's had breakfast and been changed, so you should be good till lunch..” “Yes, we've got turkey sandwich squares or organic chicken nuggets. If she goes for the nuggets, no sharing. You are on your own.” Chimney joked. “You guys must be excited, huh? Finally going house hunting?” Buck asked. “I think so, I mean, our apartment has so many memories and firsts…” “We're ready for seconds, as in a second bedroom.” Chimney interrupted. “Oh, you're sick of having the world's most adorable roommate, huh?” Buck teased. “The world's most adorable roommate has been very active lately. The terrible twos are no joke.” “Well, try telling her that.” Maddie responded. “ Oh, we'd better get moving. We've got four drive-bys, three showings, two open houses and hopefully a pear tree to fit our partridge in.” Chimney pointed out. “Are you sure that you guys are okay with her all day?” Maddie questioned. “Are you kidding me? I get to spend the whole day with my niece. I'm living the dream.” Buck said with a chuckle. “And I get a refresher on all things having to do with toddlers. So yay.” I said, nervousness setting in. “Okay we’re leaving, have fun.” Maddie said as she walked out with Chimney in tow. “Alright, what are we doing first?” I asked. “I was thinking of some light coloring followed by baby shark singing and dancing.” I laughed at his terrible attempt at a joke. Buck went to go get the crayons and coloring pages. “Okay, here we go. What are you gonna use?” He said as he pointed to the row of crayons. Jee grabbed the red crayon.  “Oh.” “This is red.” Jee babbled. Buck and I laughed at the girl’s words. Jee threw the crayon across the table causing it to roll near the island. I was about to get up and grab the crayon when Buck stopped me. “I’ll get it.” I turned to watch Buck look for the crayon and was not paying attention to Jee-Yun. “I got it.” When we both turned around Jee was making her way up the stairs. “No, no, no. Stairs are not for babies. Okay?” Buck quickly picked her up and put her back on the chair. Buck went to the living room to grab pillows while Jee and I sat around the table. “You're gonna stay right there. Okay? Don't move. I am gonna make this nice and safe. Like a good, responsible uncle.” Shortly after that, that’s when the chaos started. Jee ran Buck and I rampant by rolling out all the toilet paper, coloring on the walls, climbing under tables, and so much more. It wasn’t until she finally agreed to take a nap, that Buck and I had a moment alone. “Was it this hard with Alex, because if so I apologize for not being there but I can’t say I would have loved it.” Buck jokes. I let out a small chuckle as to not wake up Jee. “Oh no Alex is what they call a trick baby.” “What’s that?” “A baby that’s so good you get tricked into having another.” Buck laughed. “No, I'm serious. She never cried, never was sick, always slept when I wanted her too. She was perfect. It was honestly scary, I thought I broke her.” “Oh don’t worry there’s still time for that.” “Oh trust me I know.” I replied. “Let’s just hope we don’t.” “Yeah.” Buck grabbed my hand and we locked eyes for a moment. Seconds later, there was a knock on the door. Maddie and Chim were back to pick up Jee. “So how’d it go guys?” they asked. “Uh, let's just say she's not the only one who needs a nap.” Buck said. “Yeah, I am tired. I’m gonna head home and work on a few baby show things. Are you guys still coming?” “Of course we wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Maddie replied. “Buck?” “Yeah. No, of course. Everyone’s going to be there so count me as everyone.” Buck awkwardly replied. “Uhh alright. Later guys.” I grabbed my bag and made my way home. “Honey, I’m home.” I said in my most cartoon voice. “Hello Lucy.” Eddie said in his best Ricky Ricardo impression. I let out a little laugh as Eddie kissed my forehead. “How was Buck’s?” “Let’s just say I’m happy we have over 2 years to prepare for that stage. Again.” “Yeah, me too.” He joked. “Need any help with the baby shower?” “Nope. I got pretty much everything handled but when the day comes I’m gonna need a big strong man to do the labor.” “Damn, do you know any?” I swatted at his chest. “I’m serious. Can’t you pay someone to do this for you?” “I can but why would I do that when I have the best boyfriend in the whole world to do it for me.” I looked over and saw a troubled look on Eddie’s face. “What’s wrong?” “Nothing. Just thinking.” “About?” “If I told you that I would have to kill you.” He replied. He tried to make it come out as a joke but I could tell there was something weighing on him. I decided not to push it. “So what do you think of this color for the backdrop because…”
Eddie’s POV
I tried to listen to y/n’s rambling but all I could think about was what she said. The best boyfriend in the world. I definitely wasn’t that. How could I be? I cheated on her with an ex while she was pregnant with my kid and lied about it. I’m still lying about it. It’s been eating at me and I needed someone to talk to. I decided Chimney was my safest bet. Bobby would tell Athena who would tell Y/n, Hen would tell Y/n right away, Carla would lecture my ear off and then tell Y/n, and Buck was just a straight up no. Maybe if I made him promise not to tell anyone it would be okay. When I got to work I pulled Chim aside. “Hey, can I talk to you about something?”
“Oh no. Am I in trouble dad?”
“This is kind of serious Howie. I need to tell you something but I need you to promise not to tell anyone.”
“Why can’t I tell anyone?”
“Because then Y/n will know and what I’m about to tell you I don’t want her to hear from anyone except me.”
“Oh okay then. Go ahead.” He said which surprised me.
“Okay, so one night Y/n and I got into a really bad fight so I went to the bar and got some drinks. Well I ran into Ana and next thing led to another I slept with her.”
Right as I finished my sentence Chimney started to yell. “What!” He covered his ears and quickly began to talk. “Why would you tell me that? Huh?! Out of everyone in the station!”
“Will you keep it down before someone hears you? And I told you because you’re the only one that won’t go running to tell Y/n.”
“How can you tell me something like that and expect me not to say anything?”
“Because you promised and because I need advice. You’re the one that said go ahead.”
“Because I thought you were about to tell me you were proposing to Y/n or something. I didn’t think you were going to tell me you’re an adulteress”.
“What? Why would I propose we’ve only been for a few months. I just need advice on what to do?”
“Well Eddie, do you love her?”
“What kind of question is that? Of course I love her.”
“Then tell her the truth. You got a baby on the way Eddie. If she finds out any other way besides you it’s going to be bad.”
“How would I do it though? She already gave me a chance and I lied to her face. I can’t just walk up to her and say “hey remember how you told me to tell you if anything else happened? Yeah well I lied to your face about it.” I’m so screwed Chim.”
“I’m not sure how to do it since I’ve never cheated but maybe just sit her down and talk about it. I really don’t know Eddie.”
“Alright, but Chim you have to promise me you won’t tell anyone in the 118 or Y/n. Okay?”
“Of course.”
“I’m serious, Chim. I can’t risk anyone else telling her besides me.”
“I get it Eddie.”
After Chimney and I’s discussion and a long shift I had finally made it home and Y/n and the kids were in their rooms already. After showering, I slipped in the bed beside Y/n which made her stir awake. “Hey honey.” I whispered.
“Hey. How was work?”
“Work was…work..” She let out a tired laugh. “I had an idea.” She hummed a reply. “Tomorrow, I call Carla and me and you will hit the town, just the two of us.”
“More like the three of us.” She teased. Even while dead tired she somehow found a way to crack jokes. “That’d be nice Eddie. I would love to.” I leaned over and gave her a kiss on the forehead. “Good night my love.”
“Good night honey.” I replied.
Y/n’s POV
The next day Eddie stuck to his word and invited Carla over so he and I could have a date night. I found the best dress I could that would fit my ever-growing stomach and Eddie and I left. He refused to tell me where we were going but it was obviously a fancy restaurant given that Eddie was dressed his best. He had a nice suit, watch, and the only cologne that didn’t mess with my nausea. When we arrived I realized it was that very nice (very expensive) restaurant that I was raving about to Eddie. “If I didn’t know any better I would think you were trying to knock me up all over again.” Eddie laughed at that, “Actually I'm just trying to take you out on a nice night. But, if whatever you want to do to me because of it I’m happy to accept.” He teased me. We walked inside and were seated at our table. Eddie and I talked throughout the night and after ordering and eating our meal, Eddie reached for my hand. I happily gave it to him and he began to talk. “I actually do have a bit of an ulterior motive for bringing you here. I know we haven't been together long, less than a year really but I can say I haven't felt this way about anyone since Shannon. After losing her, I felt like this part of my life was over, that I would never be happy with someone else, but then you walked into my life. From the moment I met you I knew you were someone special. Being with you has been a rollercoaster to put it lightly but if it means spending a lifetime with you I’d do it any day, any time, any where. I’m my best when I’m around you and the thought of not being with you kills me to even think about. What I’m trying to say is,” Eddie got up from the table walked in front of me. He got down on one knee and pulled out a ring box. “Will you do me the honor of being my wife?” By now I was a weeping mess, I don’t know if it was Eddie’s words, the pregnancy hormones, or both, but I was sobbing like a baby. “Yes. I will be your wife.” I replied. Eddie put the engagement ring on my finger and I pulled him in for a kiss. People who were watching the scene play out clapped and congratulated us on our engagement. I couldn’t wait to go home and tell Carla and the kids.
