Notes:

1.) This list is subject to change, so if you see it off a reblog, please check the link to this post here. At some point this will probably stop updating, as we tend to forget to. Before we kick off the showdown there will be another post. Characters are under the cut, the list is currently unorganized, but might get organized later.

2.) If you see a character on here and you want to submit propaganda for them please feel free to, there is no submission limit or character per fandom limit. Here is the link to the submission form. Characters from the prior round of this showdown are fair game except Toph, Toothless and Hiccup. Additionally, most characters from @gay-disabled-characters-showdown are also fair game.

3.) The amount of submissions will not affect how likely a character is to get into the showdown. If you submitted a character and they are not here, we probably just haven’t gotten to verifying your character yet. If it’s been more than 3-4 days since you submitted the character you can shoot us an ask as to why they are not on the list, it might be an error on our part.

4.) When will submissions close? We have no fucking clue. At the earliest sometime October, as we are still working on setting up over @gay-disabled-characters-showdown which is still accepting submissions here. Additionally, as we need to write image descriptions it takes us a ridiculous amount of time to get set up.

5.) If you think a character doesn’t qualify you can send us an ask or leave a comment, and we can show you the explanation we have for the character as to how they count.

Disney Worlds in KH are always funny because sometimes you’ll get this really interesting storyline that runs parallel to the arcs in the movie but in a way that fits the themes of the game like Halloweentown in KHI or the Stitch world in BBS, or follows up on it in an interesting way like Big Hero 6’s and Monsters Inc.’s KHIII worlds, and sometimes you get “The Disney Movie, But X is There.”

And I mean, sometimes they work! Agrabah is an “And Sora Is There” world but he has good chemistry with Aladdin and the Disney cast. The Princesses’ worlds in BBS are “And the Wayfinders Are There” worlds but having three people visiting in different orders leads to some very interesting dynamics (particularly with regards to Terra and his getting tricked into playing villain at first, and what Aqua does with that information.) But sometimes, you get a photorealistic CGI Jeff Bridges awkwardly expositing the plot of Tron Legacy to Riku in a cyber outfit, or “Let It Go” with Sora, Donald and Goofy just randomly there.

… Then again, those are VERY funny.

(In fairness to Arendelle, it’s such a complete mess that I have to believe either Disney was VERY strict about what Sora could do interacting with Elsa and Anna, and that resulted in a time-wasting ice labyrinth that doesn’t appear in the movie, or its development started before the movie came out and was working off a non-final script, the ice labyrinth made sense there, Disney then got a mega-hit and told them to make it more like the movie, and they had to get this game out eventually so we’re keeping the ice labyrinth. It’s still an incoherent, meandering mess of a world, but given Tangled’s was a fine “And Sora Is There” world I have to assume SOMETHING went wrong to make it as awkward as “dropping Sora straight from the end of the first movie to the climax of the third so Sora could leave with no loose ends” with The Caribbean.)

Changes I'd make to Kingdom Hearts

Kingdom Hearts 1

Allow Sora chances to unlock flashbacks in the game that show BBS and KHUX. Not everything, but enough to know a bit about the keyblade war, the Wayfinder Trio's failure, and his ties to Vanitas (secretly his shadow).

Put more weight on the Princesses of Heart, and explain that there are several pure hearts of light, but that the PoH were the first ones found.

Replace Alice with Ariel as a princess of heart. Just makes more sense to me.

Allow Kairi's keyblade to manifest when Sora becomes a heartless.

Touch more on SoRiKai's childhood together; the island they live on is never visited or seen much.

Have Ansem manipulate Riku more than Maleficent; if the series still moves on from Disney in favor of original stories and characters, it makes more sense.

Erase CoM and Days

Kingdom Hearts 2 1. Allow time for Roxas to gain some memories of "Days," showing a more sympathetic side to the Organization. 2. Let Sora retain his memories at Castle Oblivion, except for Namine. It's mentioned that he was searching for Riku and defeated Organization members, but doesn't recall much else. 3. Have Kairi fight off O13 members, scouring the Place that Never Was instead of being a prisoner. We'd also get hints at Xion when Kairi and Namine meet. 4. Give more credit to Namine's "witch" powers of memory. She'd be able to inform Roxas of his lost memories, as well as inform the Destiny Islands Trio of the organization's origins. 5. Alter the "Riku looks like Ansem" subplot. Maybe make it so Ansem, now tied to Riku, shares a body with him, their hearts intertwined, and Riku fears the loss of control. It's better than "I avoided everyone because using darkness makes me look like our enemy" since it doesn't really move the story along. 6. Have Kairi battle with Sora and Riku against Xemnas. 7. Before Xemnas' defeat, he reveals the destruction of his own body has made them one step closer to Xehanort being revived. Xemnas lies and says that to prevent Xehanort's revival, Sora would have to defeat Ansem--and kill Riku in the process. Riku forces Sora to fight him, but Kairi realizes at the last minute that the defeat will only help Xehanort reunify. Using her powers of light, Kairi manages to separate their hearts so Ansem is defeated without killing Riku.

Kingdom Hearts: 3D 1. Essentially the same, but Kairi joins the exams. Riku is still the only one who passes, though. 2. Mention that the new 7 hearts have passed along their powers, except for Kairi. 3. Remove young Xehanort, Xemnas, and Ansem as the members of the new O13, replacing them with corrupted Aqua, Demyx, and Vexen--though the latter two defect. Plus corrupted Aqua reveals Ventus' location, allowing Vanitas access to his body, but finds out his heart is missing.

Kingdom Hearts 3 1. Give more KHUX flashbacks for Larxene and Marluxia, as well as giving us moments to look into O13's psyche as a whole. 2. Give us more worlds and the other hearts of light. I'm thinking Tiana, Pocahontas, and Moana are PoH, joining Anna, Elsa, Rapunzel, and Kairi. And their purpose isn't to fill in for the fighters, but to form the x-blade passively, similar to the original PoH being kidnapped in KH1 to form Kingdom Hearts. 3. Have the villains defeated at different points of the game. Riku would beat Xigbar, Dark Riku, Terra-Xehanort, and Aqua. Sora would defeat Venitas (who is created when Sora gives Ventus his heart back), Larxene, Marluxia, and Xehanort. Kairi would beat Xion and Luxord, and Lea would beat Isa. Aqua and Venitas' defeat would allow them to become guardians of light. 4. Have the villains make minimal appearances to the heroes outside of boss fights. The game kind of gave me "racing to the end" vibes and less appearances by the villains would make the war kind of a surprise attack without it feeling rushed. We as the audience would still get to see the organization members interact with each other, though.

The peace, however, didn't last for long and there were signs of the Heartless throughout all the kingdoms. With Tensions rising and Sora who is in his late 20s, Micky decides to have a meeting between the rulers of every kingdom to come up with a new solution. Thus the Guardians were born.

Follow the story of a young boy and his friends as they journey through the land of Disney as they take on the Heartless, New & Old Villains, meeting old heroes, and restoring peace as the first generation of Guardians.

Oh and this takes place after the Kingdom Hearts Series. This is also the first fanfic I started so far.

Much Ado About Love

With a small sigh of exertion, Sora paused a moment to plop down on his behind and sit back against the brick wall of one of the many buildings lining the circular fountain courtyard where Arendelle’s princesses and citizens were now celebrating the return of the country’s usual warm climate. Compared to the bitter, biting freeze of the winter that had been borne of Elsa’s tumultuous emotional experience, the summery warm air only stifled by the occasional light breeze wrapped around Sora like a welcoming embrace, and he enjoyed it so much more. The bricks were already soaking up the sunlight to pulse with a light heat that spread across the surface of his back, and he closed his eyes in contentment to simply enjoy the fuzzy feeling it spread through his tired muscles. Sora was by no means out of shape (as a Hero of Light, he simply could not be) but climbing a mountain not once but three times then kicking the crap out of a big, giant Heartless was liable to give anyone leg cramps. With a small sigh, he rubbed at his calves in the hopes that it would dissipate the cull ache in his lower leg muscles. He looked up when a shadow fell over him, expecting it to be one of his companions insisting he get a move on to the next world, only to find Anna’s charming smile and glittering blue eyes greeting him instead of Donald’s impatient scowl or Goofy’s nonchalant grin.

“Taking a breather?”

“Yeah. Heroes get tired too, believe it or not,” he chuckled up at her. Anna giggled lightly, holding a hand to her prim little mouth. Sora smiled slightly as he absently thought that she looked very cute when she laughed, the way her eyes scrunched up at the corners and her cheeks took on a rosy tint. Continuing to smile at him, she leaned up against the wall beside him and then slipped down to where she was primly sitting with her legs crossed at the ankles in front of her and her hands resting on her lap.

“So do princesses!” she laughed. Sora grinned and began laughing with her, and they chuckled for a good minute over it before their giggles died down. Sora looked at her watching her sister revel with all the townsfolk. It was amazing to watch, considering the picture that had been painted for him earlier implied that the townspeople were ready to chase Elsa down with pitchforks. It was amazing what truth, and forgiveness, could really do. As he thought about the dramatic showdown with Hans on the frozen bay, he suddenly recalled something he had been meaning to tell the princess sitting beside him.

“Oh, Anna… I’m sorry that things turned out the way they did with Hans. I know you really liked him.” Just thinking about it burned him up inside. How dare he pretend to be a good guy and lead Anna along just to attempt to steal Elsa’s throne? Not to mention that he was perfectly willing to leave Anna to die in a painful and agonizing way and kill Elsa in cold blood. Evil people were enough, but evil people who were conniving and put up a false, innocent persona? Those bothered Sora more than anything, because people like Anna always got their hearts broken in betrayal that way. He curled his gloved hands into fists as rage pumped adrenaline into his veins. “Man, if I ever got my hands on that guy…” he grumbled under his breath.

“Thanks, Sora. You’re sweet.” Her caring voice instantly dissolved any sort of ill will in his body and he looked at her with wide eyes. She sighed slightly and looked out at the fountain, where sparkling water was streaming up to catch the sunlight spilling down from the clear blue sky. “I thought I was in love with Hans. I realize now that Elsa was right… I think I was just lonely and desperately looking for someone who would notice me and give me attention,” she admitted with an uncomfortable look. “Love is a much, much stronger emotion than just simple attraction.” The smile returned to her face as her eyes drifted from the arcing water to her sister, who was merrily dancing with Olaf while an amused Donald and Goofy watched. Kristoff was too busy trying to prevent Sven from stealing a vegetable cart vendor’s carrots. “I know that now.”

“Yeah, that sounds about right. To be honest, I don’t know much about the ‘love’ thing,” Sora frowned while scratching at the side of his face with his index finger. Sure, he knew plenty about platonic love- he cared a whole lot about his friends, that was for sure, and he cared about all the people he had met on his great journey through so many worlds, and he even cared about those he had never met but where connected to his heart all the same. Still, even seeing the many displays of romantic love throughout his quest to quell the darkness and save the people who had been lost because of Xehanort- well, he really hadn’t the faintest clue about it.

“Really?” Anna mused. The look she gave him just them unsettled him in a frightful yet oddly stimulating way; she looked almost daring with the way her eyes were shining, and something on the border of triumph danced in her curling smirk. “I would’ve thought a hero like you would have someone in mind.” Sora’s mind instantly flew to Kairi. Sure, he loved her, but he wasn’t sure it was in that sense. He loved Riku just as much. He never really thought about holding her hand or just being alone without Riku there or, holy crap, kissing her. Nope, it weirded him out just thinking about it. Kairi was just… Kairi to him, plain and simple.

“Yeah, nope. Nothing of the kind,” he frowned and plucked at his spiky strands of chestnut hair. Suddenly he couldn’t bear to look at her; even though he wasn’t, he could feel her eyes searching his face, those wintery blue eyes like clear ice boring into him as if it were stripping him down to his very essence… “Wh-what about you?” he stammered suddenly, trying to derail the conversation. “You and Kristoff seem… chummy.”

“Me and Kristoff?” Anna snickered and a hand flew to her chest. Sora’s eyes followed the motion and he noticed that her nails were nicely manicured. Probably par for the course for a princess. “Kristoff will forever have a special place in my heart for helping me the way he did. Next to Elsa, he’s definitely my best friend- but that’s where it ends.”

“Oh.” He was beginning to grow confused, because for some reason he was glad about that. Surely he couldn’t be harboring some kind of fledgling feelings for the princess, right? Sure, she was beautiful, as were many of the princesses he had met, with a warm, welcoming smile and brilliant eyes like crystalline ice formations and luscious auburn-brown hair that kind of called to him to reach out and run his fingers through… And the idea of her being with anyone else, Kristoff or otherwise, kind of made him sad. He had already made up his mind that he would definitely be back to visit Arendelle after settling the business with Xehanort so he could explore the kingdom with her while it wasn’t buried under a blanket of snow and ice… Walking around alone, their bodies close so that their arms just barely brushed together… He would sneakily reach out and touch her fingers and then she would grab his hand, bashfully smiling at him… Wait a minute. His face grew hotter as the blush spread back to the tops of his ears. That was certainly a fantasy he had never had before. He had never experienced love before, but he wasn’t completely stupid; that was pretty dang close, he had to reckon.

Every muscle in his body stiffened as Anna scooted a little closer to him; like he had envisioned, her shoulder brushed against the muscle of his upper arm, and even though there was the barrier of sleeves, his nerves still sung in a high-pitched squeal, sending shockwaves down to the tips of his fingers and up his neck.

“You’re blushing, Sora.” The teasing in her voice just made him flush even further.

“N-no I’m not! It’s just hot! I got so used to it being cold that now I’m hot!” he cried in a futile attempt to dissuade her from the frankly obvious. Pursing his lips in a pout, he turned his head opposite her, chin upturned in a dully childish display of being caught red-handed. Really, he had just met her, and now he had a schoolboy crush. Wasn’t that the exact opposite of what they had been talking about? As if drawn by a magnet, his eyes rolled in his sockets to peer at her out of the corners; she had her head tilted at a downward angle as those crystal-blue eyes stared knowingly at him from beneath the shade of her thick black lashes, and that same sweet yet challenging smile was gracing her lips. Sora’s nose twitched as his heart clenched in his chest. She really was positively adorable and pretty…

Yep. Crush confirmed.

“Anna,” he started, but then stopped, because he really wasn’t sure what he wanted to say. Guess he also wasn’t the smoothest person in the worlds when it came to love.

“Hey. You’ll come back and see me, right?” she interrupted when it was clear his words where going nowhere. Shocked, his head snapped around to look at her fully. The smile had fallen from her face as it took on a solemn, serious expression. “I know that you have important things you have to do that’ll take you far from here… But whenever that’s done, I would really like it if I can show you Arendelle properly.” Sora gulped and tugged at the neck of his shirt as his body temperature amped up a couple notches. “Heroes have free time, too, right?” she said as that smile appeared on her face once more. It was infectious, because it wormed its way onto his features, too.

“Of course. It’s a promise,” he assured her with an emphatic nod. Anna grinned brightly and straightened up, clearly pleased. He fully expected her to jump up and rejoin the festivities (and let his crush stay buried, hopefully) but she instead did something he never would’ve been expecting in a thousand years- she leaned forward to peck a little kiss onto his cheek. Sora instantly blazed the crimson red of Lea’s hair and heated up to the point Little Chef could’ve fried an egg on his head, no problem. Leaving him to short-circuit like a toaster in a bathtub, Anna then hopped up with a giggled see you soon! to join the others, who were none the wiser of the very blatantly flirtatious thing that had just occurred. Head following her skipping run as she left, he raised a hand to the cheek where the ghost of her lips still danced. A wan smirk appeared on his mouth.

Heh… Maybe I know a little about love after all. Surely he must; that’s what the sing-song beating of his heart and the fluttering butterflies in his stomach were telling him, anyway.

Sora was already looking forward to the return visit…

Frozen’s part in SoRiku ...

When I think about the role that Elsa could have played in Kingdom Hearts 3 it always draws up a lot of emotions. It makes me almost HATE Disney for not allowing Nomura to do anything creative with her. And the narrative that Nomura was trying to drive WAS an IMPORTANT ONE. Sora and Riku could BREAK BOUNDARIES if the damn RESTRICTIONS would just be removed. Sora talking to Anna and noticing the similarities between ELSA AND RIKU was adorable and we all knew what it was getting at. you could FEEL the CONCERN and LOVE in Sora’s face. I’m really surprised the word LOVE wasn’t edited from this conversation all together to be completely honest.

Anna: “When we were little my sister and I were really close... I have to bring her home. (This makes Sora think of someone who he loved and lost that was his close childhood friend. Someone he had to “Bring home” for those of you who cant guess its Riku) You also CANT say this is Kairi when you compare this person he is thinking of to who Anna is talking about and the qualities that she has....Nomura was going to set up a situation in which Sora would again have to face those emotions he felt when Riku left the island.

Sora: Im sure she knows how much you love her (This is his response in which he can confidently tell Anna that it will be ok because he has been through this and he knows the person that is turning away from her still knows how much she loves her.) He must have have had a talk with Riku about this (off camera maybe) Does Riku know that Sora loves him? Ok sure you can say “they are friends and he is talking about that love” but what is Sora trying to say here? He speaks as if he confidently knows that Riku knew the whole time that Sora loved and cared for him when in fact that is not the case at all. There were several times that Riku doubted that anyone loved him. Or that he (Riku) was alone in the whole thing. So why is he telling Anna this? I think this is because he still has REGRET. Regret that he didnt have an active role in stopping Riku from leaving in the first place. And along with this regret maybe there is DENIAL. He is in denial that he let it happen and lastly but most importantly HE IS NOW IN LOVE WITH RIKU and that makes the regret and denial worse. He says this almost as if to reassure HIMSELF too.

so yeah there is a lot to take from this tiny piece of dialogue.

I'm eating well with Xehanort being a Blueblood LMAO. Called it, love it. The sheer irony of him being a child of destiny and us knowing how his story ends up - delicious.

So many parallels you can draw between Xehanort - Eraqus and Sora - Riku here. In the end Sora is the one who Xehanort should have become and just, goddamn. I'm still on the path of thinking MoM is the reason why this didn't happen, pushing him further into the darkness (talking about love and its false light. man.), then Eraqus leaving him alone and as such, the balance between them destroyed (just as Baldr and his sister),

Xehanort having Hoder in his heart got me a lot, just. man. man. There is this small interaction after they are fighting Vidar and Baldr shows up, Xehanort clutches his chest - because Hoder is reacting to Baldr....... its so similar to Sora with Anna and Elsa in KH3 ...... wahhhhhh..... delicious.... just,,, Xehanort and its connections to other people. MAN..

This whole thing with the true Lights is so INTERESTING. Like, they are objects ???? before the Princesses of Heart were a thing... thats so good.

Still wrapping my head around with that summoning of Kingdom Hearts. And ... killing 13 lights for that. god Baldr was so close and it was so so cruel my god. SEEING THEM ALL DIE WAS SO. NAH MAN. NAH. like YEAH WE KNEW THEY WERE ABOUT TO DIE BUT FUCK.

so. the "secret ending". Im fucking yelling at the fact Blue Robe is KHML Player with UX Player reincarnated. just. THIS IS THE PLOT I HAD PREPARED FOR MY PLAYER HELP THIS IS FUCKING FANTASTIC FJDKDBDKFJG also no Player - Xehanort anymore which im, ah well, but Still they have a close connection which is enough for me now i guess -

Baby Xehanort calling Lauriam a skinny boy with pink hair had me laughing so much. like TRUE but dont come for my boy like this ahsjshdodjdkf. I'm kinda :worry: about Skuld's involvement for Xehanort's Mom as i dont really want her .... to have stayed behind ..... but for me to truly accept that I have to see it in ML myself. Still holding onto Subject X, but man,,,,,, Nomura why.

Xehanort saying he wants to have 14 lifetimes has me so c: I really wish for Young Xehanort to return. He should live a life that belongs to him .... i hope he gets to see that. I really want him to hang out with the Guardians of Light...

The whole Underworld thing is going to be so interesting in KH4, because they essentially did the same thing here like Donald and Goofy are trying?? At least we know now that the Underworld is like, universal, for KH worlds. I hope we get to see the upper classmen in some form again. 

This game is an emotional rollercoaster that definitely would have worked better if they released these episodes... episodic. This whole ending was Such an Experience.

Just holy crap I am excited for Missing Link.

My mind is mush. I'm dead tired. What a phenomenal experience.

Missing Link, you have so much explaining to do. And goddamn im in for this ride.
