He's also run over the joker multiple times.

I also imagine TJ being the resident vigilnate instead and that bruce loves to get lovey dovey with Harvey infront of his brother to piss TJ off.

- angron becomes a lot less emotionally distant after the Nails are out.

- He's still a bit weird about giving physical touch but he's a lot more receptive to accepting it.

- hold him. Let him be the little spoon for the first while.

- it means a lot to him if you hold him. He doesn't trust himself to hold you more than a loose hug or an arm around your waist just yet.

- be patient with him, please. It's gonna take a while for him to heal.

- occasionally makes jokes!! They're simple, a little bit of wordplay and a bit of a proud look, but they're there!

- so, SO fucking cuddly once he gets used to things. Always has some kind of physical contact with you. Poor baby is touch starved.

- likes hand holding a lot. It's simple but it's actually really comforting to him. He's learning how to be gentle.

blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most) it's gotta be murderbot itself! in fact if i had to pick a single blorbo as supreme blorbo across all fandoms, it would be murderbot probably at least 50% of the time.

scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped) i mean probably three is the closest but it feels infantalizing to say that? i'm struggling with this definition, i think. but three is definitely my cherished beloved and i have certainly clutched my hands to my bosom when overcome by the great affection i feel for it, so i feel like that should count.

scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave) VOLESCUUUUU!! smartest member of a team of smartypantses is the one who goes "hmmm. i think i will retire actually" after almost getting eaten by hostile fauna/murdered by hostile corporates. he got some trauma and at the earliest opportunity fucked back off to his group marriage about it. aspirational.

glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week) i don't know if i am quite that enthusiastic, but i do appreciate kaede, who's been in like two scenes and all i know about her is that she has no interest in dealing with ratthi and tarik's "sexual discussion". girl, same. i also like tural, who is an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire of indah and mensah and secunit's little glare-off in the trans lateral corridor just standing there like 🥺 please may i do my job now 🥺

poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave) this is hard! i don't know that anyone really falls into poor little meow meow territory in the classic sense. in my opinion thiago did nothing wrong so i don't think he really counts, but in the spirit of picking an unpopular/controversial character who i actually like a lot, i guess he's my answer.

horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason) i think it's kinda fun what a horrible day leonide is having in system collapse. like it is objectively a terrible time for her, she gets betrayed, she gets shot, but she's also experiencing such disorienting events as "weaponry says a swear" and "if it weren't bad enough that we're in a high-speed chase running from the people who betrayed me, someone in the backseat is watching a soap opera and they forgot their fucking headphones". i'm picturing a reality show where interspersed with stressful action scenes we keep cutting to the talking head she recorded about it after the fact and she's just staring into the camera dead-eyed not saying anything.

eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell) whichever clients on past contracts made murderbot fight other secunits for their entertainment. fuck that extremely.

i’ve recently become obsessed with the stock procreate Noise Brush. i’m using it for rendering a lot right now because i like how abstract it is and it pairs well with rough sketches.

the above sketch looks way more complete and 3D despite still being my first draft!

i also use the stock procreate Dry Ink brush because it blends nicely with the noise brush but lays down a much denser line, so it’s good for coloring in large spaces while still keeping that painted look.

these hands were inked with Ink Bleed because i love the crunchy texture of that brush. it has a very nice sketchy quality that can still produce some really precise lines.

as for rendering with the noise brush, i like to do each big block-in on a separate layer. i lay down a bulky shadow with noise and carve out wherever the light hits the surface using a dry ink eraser. that way, it looks nice and stenciled. when i like my new shadow, i usually combine it down to the main shadow layer for simplicity’s sake, and begin a new layer for the next shadow. this is so that i can easily erase and create the perfect gradients without affecting the pre-existing shadows.

i’m always happy to share my techniques and talk about them! i’m always learning new things and changing how i do things and i have no ten commandments lawl. i’m glad you say the noise is like a visual stim because it’s the same way for me, it’s so satisfying! i hope this is helpful :’D

ok ok ok so. Off the bat, for story stuff, you can find like a loose summary here, and a bit more of an in-depth one here. Generally, if you're looking for information about the world and the characters as opposed to just the random art, the #steelheart redux lore tag is a good place to start, though admittedly it's a little sparse.

There's no real like... compilation of all the information I've shared through art on here, but to be honest that's kind of by design? Because this is a story I want-- and intend!-- to tell, eventually, and thus there are some things I can't share. I'm just addicted to posting vaguely out of context spoilers for it haha

but if you don't feel like tag-hopping (valid), here's a brief rundown: 15-year-old boy (arthur steele) ends up neurologically connected to a sentient robo-dragon-vehicle (zarian) by accident (as you do) which leads to a Lot Of Problems For Both Of Them. in the aftermath of this, they end up getting involved with trying to end the ongoing war between the robo-dragons (mysteriously corrupted and violent) and the people living in the country, and things just get increasingly more chaotic and complicated from there. it's serious at times but there's a lot of silliness and fun times. i'm very fond of the guys.

bonus: character primer of the guys you'll see the most of if u tag-trawl:

arthur steele - 15 y/o boy from the city of Orello; pleasant, polite, and king of hoping his impulsive decisions just "work out"

zarian - the DRACO (robo-dragon) arthur ends up connected to. functionally also 15. kind of snarky, really just nervous all the time

lindsay jackson - 16 y/o girl from the city of Callia; cheerful, confident, and very very curious. loves space and science, wants to be a doctor like her mom

david manalo - lead engineer (or something similar) at Defenex, works on the PULSARs; a bit lonely, but generally pretty happy and relaxed. enjoys his routine and predictable life (lol). hes like 30

Rebecca, he mouthed in response to Sam’s arched brows, and then, out loud, “No, nobody’s fucking died, I just don’t think you need to keep waiting in traffic for another two hours.” A pause. “Well, Moe’s a fucking menace to society, and you shouldn’t listen to what he says anyway.” “Isaac is texting me,” announced Jan Maas. “He wants me to tell you to get your arse outside this instant or else there will be severe repercussions.” Sam was fairly certain Jan Maas was pulling his leg, but he also wasn’t in the mood to test Isaac’s capacity for enacting severe repercussions. He hiked Jamie higher in his arms, allowing the other man’s head to loll against the curve of his shoulder, and began the slow, careful walk to the edge of the stage. Jan Maas stuck by his elbow the entire time, and Roy trailed behind, still attempting to convince Rebecca that she and Nora should turn around and go home without voicing the reason for the party’s abrupt end.
