I went to a showing and it has a surprisingly anti-fascist message criticizing Mussolini during world war 2 Italy!

Not what I was expecting from a Pinocchio adaptation but it was interesting.

when you call your reps to ask them to pretty please stop taking away your rights, remember:

In deep red areas you're a republican who is thinking of voting for someone else if they don't vote what you want on this specific bill because it impacts your republican ideals so very much

In swing states you're an undecided voter who's gonna go blue if they don't vote how you like

remember to call because that way their phone is going off and their peers can hear it because their offices are close together (emails and letters don't work like that), so it can rattle them if they get high volumes. remember that you gotta make them feel like they're losing something.

At this point, talks about "mutilated bodies" tell me everything I need to know about people's politics. I truly don't believe you can combine the idea of mutilated or degenerate bodies with anything even slightly progressive in terms of autonomy. If you believe yourself to be progressive or anything left of an unapologetic fascist, you frankly cannot truly entertain the idea that some bodies and people are inherently mutilated or degenerate. It is an inherently fascist idea.

Am I the only one who is still frustrated by how long and drawn out this process is?

A “subpoena” is nothing. He’s not going to care and he’s not going to obey it. It’s been almost 2 YEARS since January 6th and they are just getting around to POLITELY asking him to submit paperwork???? Are you fucking stupid??

I’m afraid the media and the democrats want to set him up to make a 2024 comeback 😭. Notice how they purposely gave him a deadline AFTER the midterms 🙄. Keep in mind this is just a subpoena, they STILL need to get around to charging him, arresting him, taking him to court, and then he will only get a few months and a small fine like Steve Bannon got🙄.

These people need to hurry the fuck and sentence him to real jail time up or he WILL be in office again by 2024. This is what happens when you think you can only stop fascism by patiently awaiting legal proceedings 🙄.

so in a more practical application of the "larp a republican if you're gonna call them" post that got huge, North Carolina is about to have abortion access slashed if nothing's done about it.

SB20 got passed and went up to Gov. Cooper who vetoed it, but there's very very slight veto-proof supermajority in the legislature. Unless at least one Republican breaks ranks the veto will be overridden.
