Prompt: Humans and demons are different, no duh. There are some things that we do naturally that shocked and freak out the brothers. Here are some random few (each linked to a specific brother, like 1 means Lucifer, etc).

1. Cracking bones.

You spent a long day dealing with your studies. Your fingers cramped. So you cracked them. Lucifer was appalled. He thought you just broke yourself. Lucifer goes straight to you and asks if you just broke your finger or something along those lines. After calming him down and just explaining that you were popping the air bubbles in your joints because they ached, he was more appalled.

Humans can get air bubbles in between their bones?! That's so weird. Demons can't crack their joints. If they make any cracking noise, they probably cracked their bones.

At least you're not hurt. That is all that matters to him.

2. Adrenaline.

Demons have instincts like humans, but they don't have adrenaline. They have the same amount of strength and power, no matter the situation. No amount of tension will give them a random boost in a fight. Humans do. It's called adrenaline (SHOCKING). Boosting our stamina, pain tolerance, reaction time, and strength. It's like a superpower! A superpower that Mamon was unaware of at the time.

You both were running from trouble, as normal. Even though your body was in its flight or fight, no amount of adrenaline will make you run as fast as the fastest demon in hell! So how was he supposed to know! It was until there was a dead end. The door was locked. Mammon was about to use some magic to open it because the angry demons were very close behind you guys. before he could, BAM! You ram right into it and smash it open

What. The. Hell??? Are you on steroids or something?!

Once you escape, Mammon has so many questions. He now thinks adrenaline is so cool.

3. Being social animals.

Demons aren't necessarily social creatures. Some will go millennias without talking to anything, and they don't go insane. It's just a lot of demons like socialising. Levi is not one of those demons, though. Levi will go some months without speaking to anyone, even some days without speaking to his brothers. He thought humans were the same. He didn't know that it could cause mental issues like insanity or depression.

Levi only found out because he was watching a horror anime, where a human character was isolated for months and went insane. He thought it was fiction, but then he asked you. As soon as yes leaves your mouth, he is in utter disbelief.

Now he feels bad whenever he has you holed up in his room. Don't you want to socialise? He wouldn't mind if you went to party with Asmo and Mammon... At least he'd try not to mind. Are you sure you're okay with just him? Yeah? ... He thinks he is okay with just you, too.

4. Humans on the moon?

When you came to devildom, even though Satan wasn't that close to you, he did research about humans out of curiosity. Satan learnt about human history, myths & legends, science (a.k.a human magic), medicine, and even decided to research human technology.

The only thing he didn't know was that humans went to the moon. When he was doing human history, he was doing ancient human history. Being a demon who was immortal, Satan classed anything from the last 100 years as morden to him. He was alive during it. He should know when it happens. But somehow, no one talked about the humans landing on the moon.

You wanted to know if demons had also gone to space, and he answered with, "No. Some of angels have... What do you mean also?" Humans, flightless and magicless fleshbags, have gone to the stars?!

5. Baby teeth falling out.

Asmodeus wanted to see childhood pictures of you! He was going on about how cute you were until he saw that in one of your photos that you were missing a tooth?! Asmo didn't know you were missing a tooth! He immediately tried to look in your mouth for that missing tooth, but there was a tooth there?! What?! Did you get some sort of tooth surgery?

Demons and angels don't have baby teeth. They are made not to naturally lose any of their teeth, and if they lose a tooth, they have to get a surjery to get it back. So, this concept is crazy to them.

Asmo was thankful it was natural. You made him panic!

6. Stretch marks.

Demons have rapid regeneration, so they don't get stretch marks. The scars just heal immediately as it isn't a deep wound to them.

Beelzebub had no idea humans could get them. He thought some demon attacked or tried to put a hex on you, but once you explained it to him, it blew his mind. Losing or gaining weight causes these marks? Humans are stretchy??? That's cute.

Beelzebub likes running his hand over the marks. It's fascinating to him.

7. Modern medicine.

Belphegor knew a lot about humans due to his human phase when he was an angel. There isn't anything that you do that surprises him. Belphie even knows humans went to the moon because he is an astrology girlie. But he is clueless about morden medicine.

Belphie lost interest in humans when he fell, obviously. He didn't want to interact with humans after his hatred for them developed. So he has no idea about morden human medicine.

Humans don't use frog eggs anymore? They were unsafe? Really? Belphie thought they worked. He did not know humans were just as unknowledgable as he was back then. Belphie learnt after you accidentally got a paper cut, and Belphie said he'd go get the plasters and leeches.

You had to tell him that the leaches were outdated by a few decades.

the first time levi kisses you all he can think about is whether or not he’s doing it right. sure, he’s had his fair share of kisses but he’s never overthought it to this extent

you would have thought someone like levi would be hard and rough with the way they kiss but instead he swoops in awkwardly – your noses bump against each other and he softly presses his lips against yours

but what you don’t know is the reason why he’s kissed you, levi knows he’s bad at expressing himself, he knows no matter how hard he tries he’s bound to be misinterpreted at some point. he just wants to make you feel loved. his usual way of doing it is by taking care of you or scolding you when you make mistakes during training

he’s been told time and time again that it doesn’t even look like the two of you are dating. it’s probably because dating levi isn’t much different from any other relationship with him, for the most part it doesn’t seem like much has changed to everyone else

so he really does want you to know that you are in fact different and special to him. he’s secretly very insecure about you leaving him. he thinks maybe if he doesn’t show how much you mean to him you’ll leave and he doesn’t want you to leave

that’s how the two of you have got here, levi’s been wondering when to do it all day and something kicks in when he sees you walk out of the stables. you still seem so upbeat despite the current climate of the world around you

no matter how dark everything’s become you’re an ever present light in levi’s life, your shine never dulls

and so he takes his opportunity not caring if your hair is disheveled or if sweat layers your forehead. he’s happy to do it no matter the circumstances.

midway through the kiss he cradles your face in his hands and you both just kinda stare at each other, it isn’t awkward the both of you are just in awe that levi’s the one to initiate the first kiss

usually when you hold hands you’re the one to place your palm into his, if you hug you’re the one who’s placed your arms around his frame. the only time levi’s ever initiated physical contact is when he’s adjusting the straps of your gear

so really for him to initiate something as huge as your first kiss together really is heartwarming

he pulls you back into the kiss by intertwining your fingers together and leaning in so he can continue again. for some reason he just gets emotional by it all. maybe it has something to do with the way the world stops when he kisses you. he’s resilient and doesn’t let any tears fall but he shakes trying to hold himself together

of course you sense the trembling when your hand begins to vibrate against his. you immediately stop not wanting to overwhelm him.

levi looks hurt by that, he thinks you might have not enjoyed it but then you wrap your arms around his neck to steady yourself and press a soft kiss against his forehead

“are you doing this to show me that you love me?” the question you murmur against his chest has him scowling but you can see the hint of a blush creep up his cheeks

“why would i do that? you should know i like you.” he nearly smacks himself across the face when he says like instead of love. he doesn’t mean it, he does love you he’s just too embarrassed to say it

he half expects you to be angry about that but you smile and he’s never felt more grateful to have you around

“i’m glad you like me, that means you care for me.” you tell him

he doesn’t know what to do, he completely malfunctions because you’re just so right for him. you’re so firm in your belief that he loves you that you don’t even need his reassurance to understand that.

“don’t you think i treat you like everyone else?” he asks, he’s been meaning to bring it up for a while now, he has no idea how to act around you

“no i love you. you bring me tea every day. you don’t do that for anyone else. i think i’m pretty special just for that!!! :-)”

at that levi kisses you again not because he wants to show you he loves you and so you don’t leave. he kisses you this time because he knows you won’t leave him and he knows you’re aware of his love for you

it’s even more soft and gentle than the first kiss you shared together just seconds earlier. you can practically feel the beating of your heart it thumps erratically and at this rate it may as well jump right out of your chest

levi’s holding up much better after hearing your soothing words. he has no doubt you love him. usually touching his hair is a no go for most people but he allows you to play around with it, you’re understandably fidgety and nervous and don’t know where to put your hands

by the time the both of you pull away panting he acts like it hasn’t happened for a few minutes. he sits there thinking woah so i finally did that ????

then he starts worrying what if you didn’t like it ??? what if you were pretending to enjoy it ??? what if he was a bad kisser ??? what if—

“you look worried.” you say looking right into his eyes, you’ve always been able to see right through him.

“am i a bad kisser?” the question leaves his mouth so quietly it’s inaudible and you have to ask him to repeat himself again

being physically intimate has always caused worries for him and he can’t help but overthink. he refuses to repeat what he’s said but you won’t let it go

I can't blame you if you choose to kick him where the sun doesn't shine because although I know how much it hurts he kind of was asking for it-

He’s their mate, right? He doesn’t know how to manage these feelings and will either get drunk and cry, or follow his alpha everywhere and drape himself over them constantly to ward off other omegas. If it continues, he will take this flirting as a sign that he loves his alpha more than his alpha loves him. Yoosung is very in love with the idea of a fairy tale romance, and this definitely wasn’t part of the plan!

5. Bakugou – He gets angry to hide his conflicting feelings. On one hand, of course his alpha would be stupid to leave him, he’s the best! On the other hand, he’s a very non-traditional omega and while he loves who he is in many ways, that doesn’t mean that everyone else does, quite the contrary in fact. He confronts his alpha every time, shouting at them to just leave if they’re planning on cheating on him. Flirting with certain people (cough Midoryia cough) will make him very, very angry/upset. It’s best for his blood pressure if his alpha learns new ways of social interaction that don’t include flirting.

6. Kusuo – Kusuo is quite possessive, even if he won’t admit that to himself. He craves affection and attention from his alpha in a way he’s never felt before. He likes to spend time with his alpha alone, just the two of them, and that’s when he’s the happiest, so when other people appear to be getting in the way of that? Huh, the other person just remembered that they left the oven on and have to go home. What a coincidence. Whenever his alpha goes anywhere, Kusuo invites himself along, and this goes double if his alpha is flirty. They won’t be flirting with anyone, not of Kusuo’s watch.

7. Light – He’s too arrogant and possessive to deal with a flirty alpha. He’s the only one that should be receiving compliments and romantic attention from his alpha. They’re his, and only his. Light very much understands playing a perfect charismatic character in public, but his alpha always seems a little too genuine, a little too willing to flirt even when there’s nothing for them to gain from it. It makes him suspicious. It’s all or nothing. His alpha either commits fully to him, or he gets rid of them.

8. Jumin – That sort of behaviour is far too close to that of his father for him to be comfortable. But Lucifer erupts, suddenly in demon form

He stands over you, roaring his hand back as if he were going to slap you

Beel stands up and intercepts Lucifer’s hand, grabbing his wrist with all his strength and saving you

You wince, falling back a bit into Asmo’s arms, and he hugs you close

“MC!!!” he yells, rage obvious in his voice

“Asmo…what did I do…” you whisper, voice quivering in fear as the love of your life just snapped and almost hit you

“I think he wanted that to stay private, he doesn’t like us to know that he relaxes…” he whispers, “Don’t feel guilty, he shouldn’t be reacting like this”

“Lucifer…” you say, standing a bit straighter and looking into his dark red eyes, “I’m sorry. I didn’t know”

“You should have!” his voice booms, anger not subsiding at all

You look at him, eyes full of confusion and regret. You plead for him to calm down, to talk to you rationally and listen to your apologies

He growls, “The rest of you, out!” he yells, and they obey instantly. Asmo squeezing his shoulders around you quickly and Beel giving you a small smile before leaving

You ramble on for as long as he lets you about how you’re sorry and you didn’t mean to upset him

After a few minutes he cuts you off, “You didn’t upset me, you betrayed me”

His voice was cold, and without hesitation he turns and leaves the room

You didn’t think Mammon, the avatar of Greed, would get mad about anything. You’d never heard stories about him turning into demon form, so you assumed it basically never happened

“I’m the avatar of greed, damnit! What do you expect?! You knew that before you started dating me, you can’t act like this now just because we’re dating”

“Mammon, I just want what’s best for you. There are better ways to get money than backstabbing your family!”

You’re definitely a bit afraid, but you’re not going to let him walk all over you

You bicker back and forth, arguing in circles before he storms off to his room, slamming and locking the door behind him

“Levi, no. I can reschedule if this is going to be a problem tonight, but he’s my partner. We have an assignment to do”

“No, go. I’ll watch the new season on my own. You probably don’t even like anime, you liar!”

“Levi!! Please, love, you know that isn’t true”

“I can’t trust you, not after this. Just go, have fun with your real boyfriend” he sneers, turning his back to you

“I don’t care!! There’s the chance now that that’s how it’s going to end, you know how my head works, now that’s all I’ll be able to think about while I’m reading!! Damn it!!”

He’s pacing back and forth, heat radiating off his body as he tries to control his anger

“I can’t forgive you for this” he states, voice cold

“Satan…” you whisper, stepping towards him a (tiny) bit

“Get away from me…” he scoffs

“Satan, please…I’m so sorry” you plead with him, desperate for him to forgive you, “I know how badly I messed up, I know. I would do anything to undo it, or to make you feel better. Please just forgive me”

“Anything, huh?” he retorts, smirking at you

“Yes, anything, please” you say, resisting the urge to step towards him again

“Then leave. Get out, I don’t want to look at you right now”

You feel your heart break and sink in your chest. Tears well in your eyes, but Satan stays silent, eyes unwavering at your emotions

You leave, walking slowly to your room, tears rolling down your cheeks

You’re out one night at a club, dancing together and drinking (just to loosen up, not to get wasted)

You go to the bar to refill your drinks, and let a stranger hit on you, flirting back a bit until he offers to buy you a drink

You let him, because hey, a free drink is a free drink, and it’s not like Asmo hadn’t done the same thing before

Suddenly you feel a tight hand on your shoulder and you’re ripped away from the demon

Asmo drags you outside the bar, to an isolated spot beside the building

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?? Are you cheating on me??” he explodes, putting his hand against the building behind you, trapping you beneath him

“Asmo, I was just getting him to buy me a drink, I don’t even know who he is” you explain, “Why are you in demon form? It’s not like you haven’t done the same thing, you have no place to be mad”

“Excuse me?! I’m the avatar of lust, I can’t help myself from flirting with everyone, you have no excuse!” he yells, gritting his teeth

You go back and forth, him angry at you for flirting with someone else, him enraged at you for thinking he can control his urges

“Asmo, I’m always understanding of when you flirt with others, because I know it’s hard for you to control yourself. It hurts me to watch you do that, but I let you do it. I bite my tongue. I do that for you every time we go out, you should be able to let me do what you do every time at least once”

Beelzebub

You’re snacking in the kitchen on some of his leftovers, scrolling through your D.D.D.

He walks in, “MC…”

You look up, instantly freezing when you see the anger in his eyes

“Beel…”

He erupts, “You’re eating my food!! How could you!!”

You drop it, “Beel, I’m so sorry, I thought it was okay…”

“Why, because we’re dating? That means nothing when it comes to food!”

His words hit deep in your heart, and you feel tears start to well in your eyes

All you can do is quietly apologize

“Damnit!” he yells, slamming his fist on the table hard, but not hard enough to break it

“I’ve made it so clear not to eat my food! Ever! Under any circumstances! And no one ever does!! What makes you think you’re special?”

“Beel…” your voice is quiet, “I mean…yes. I love you, Beel, I thought it would be okay…I’m sorry”

“It isn’t okay!! I’ve been looking forward to this all day and you ruined it…” he ranted, “Whatever, I’m leaving”

“Beel, no, please. Let me make it up to you” you say, getting up and chasing him out of the kitchen

But he doesn’t stop, he storms off and locks you out of his room

He’d never snapped at you before, much less turned to demon form because of something you’d done. There had been plenty of stories about Lucifer and Satan turning to demon form, and some of the other demons, but never any of Beel

You didn’t know what to do

Belphegor

He’d been sleeping more than usual, and you missed him

You knock on his door, eventually letting yourself in when he didn’t answer

“Belphie…Belphie…wake up” you whisper

He slowly wakes up, “MC…what…is everything okay?”

You reassure him that everything is okay, and that you just wanted to spend some time with him

He rubs his eyes and shakes his head a bit

Suddenly, he’s in demon form, and you have no idea what is happening

“You woke me up for that?? Because you want to spend time with me?? Ugh!!!” he yells

“Belphie…” you whisper, stepping back towards the door

“You know how much I need sleep, why would you wake me up for something as unimportant as you wanting to spend time with me!”

He’s steaming, “And don’t call me Belphie!”

You start shaking a bit, “B-Bel…Belphegor…” you whisper, feeling hurt and betrayed

“Leave!! I don’t want to spend time with the person that disturbed me!” he yells, walking towards you quickly

You flinched as he approached, not sure what he was going to do, but he just opened his door and shoved you out

He locks the door behind you, the click of the lock causing your heart to sink a bit

You place the palm of your hand against his door, “I’m sorry…” you whisper, sinking to your knees

When Levi finds out he gets angry and jealous and tries to convince the reader not to go to the party but being Levi he is unable to express himself in the best way and ends up offending the reader. Levi decides to follow the reader and her friend to the party. Having noticed that Levi was following them, the friend of the reader suggests to the reader to go and clarify things with Levi and the reader decides to follow her friend's advice. Levi and you have been dating for a while now, one of the things that bonded you together in the first place was you two hating military police to your guts. But because of your posts, you two cannot really show it that often but initially you two spent a lot of time bitching about them. You still do that lol.

But since you two have been promoted, both of you have very little time to spend with one another, and the fact that you two feel so distant sometimes scared you. Lately, you have been noticing things a lot because of your overthinking self taking over you.

Even though you knew how busy he was, still your brain was convinced that he wasn't putting in many efforts into this relationship like you were. Which sometimes pissed you off but you being you, you never communicated it with him because you didn't want to "bother" him. To him, everything wasn't the best either but at least you two weren't on bad terms and understood each other's position.

When you ask him to go with you to the ball so that you two can finally have a relaxing night with each other, he refused. With a straight face and tried to convince you to not go there either. But this only pissed you off even more and you decided you were going anyways. With or without him.

You asked your friend to accompany you and she was hesitant first knowing that you were planning on going with Levi but why were you suddenly asking her? As you explained, Levi heard everything. He didn't say anything then since you were with her but he asked you once you both reached his home.

"Are you going to that stupid thing even after I told you not to?" with annoyance lingering on his face. You just said yes with a straight face and heading to the bedroom. Which pissed him off, even more, to come after you and he shouted, "You know this could be a trap right? And you're walking right into it!" To which you replied," Oh come on Levi! Why can't you just take a very simple thing as it is?! Why are you making a big deal out of it?! You are not going there anyway so why do you care?"

"Why do I-" he stopped mid-sentence observing you and said, "Fine, looks like you've made up your mind then, go by yourself! If you get in trouble don't expect me to come to your rescue like I always do!" He shouted the last sentence. It hurt more because it sounded as if he didn't consider you strong and capable of taking care of yourself anymore.

"Fine! And for your information, I have rescued YOU and hid your reckless deads a lot more than you have ever helped me! Don't EVER IN YOUR FUCKING LIFE THINK THAT I'M WITH YOU BECAUSE I NEED YOUR FUCKING PROTECTION!" You yelled the last part and left his house and headed to yours. You have never raised your voice on anyone. You even threaten people with a very silent tone. He stood there watching you leave because he knew what you said was right and how he said his part was most definitely not the nicest thing.

He knew something was going on inside your head that you are not explaining. He asked your friend about what time you guys will be leaving and hung up before she can ask any further questions. He was not letting you go like this. He loved you way too much to even think about letting you go so he decided to go to the ball too.

You got ready, obviously after a whole heavy crying session only because you shouted at him. You hated when anyone else foul-mouthed about him but this time it was you who screamed in his face. But still, the thought of him not putting in any efforts didn't leave your mind so you decided to go anyways.

As you were passing the hallways to the ball, you crossed Levi's room and just from a side-eye saw what he was doing and his face was buried in the papers. A piece of your heart literally broke knowing that he had gone back to his schedule without even bothering to talk to you.

As you moved forward to the ball you noticed him on first, second, and at many other turns following you. Your friend noticed him too and nudged you to go talk to him. As if you just needed a small push you turned and started walking towards him. He was about to say something but you hugged him. Tight.

He did the same to you too! You both knew that you two regretted what you two said. As you broke the hug he didn't let you go fully, still having one hand on the small of your back and not letting your torso leave. He noticed your red eyes and said, "I'm so sorry baby. I know something is bothering you for the past few weeks. Rather than talking about it, I lashed out on you." While placing his palms on your cheek to which you leaned your head on.

You just smiled at seeing his face again. For a second you thought it was over. "Also I cannot let that new brat put his hands on you, considering how beautiful my baby looks in this dress. Wait... is this-" before he could finish the sentence you nodded yes. He bought you a dress a while ago, that he saw in a shop while buying groceries, all because he thought that "it was made for you". His words, not mine!

You two went to the ball together had a lot of fun mocking the military officials among yourselves and once you were back home and in bed, he asked what exactly was bothering you. You wanted to give the, "Oh no it's fine" but you thought now is the perfect time to let it out. He heard you with full attention and wiped your tear as you cried a few times while explaining everything.

When you two finally lay down to sleep he whispered, "I know you're not weak." and hugged you tighter.

Ya know, it gets me how in chapter 110, Levi really tries to talk to Zeke and understand where the hell he was coming from when he attacked and essentially killed all those people in Ragako village, and Zeke repays that attempt at understanding by continuing to act glib and lie straight to Levi’s face.  Honestly, Levi’s attempts to understand Zeke are more than he deserves, but Levi holds out that branch anyway.  But with the way Zeke responds, continuing to lie, and feigning confusion at Levi’s persistence in asking him, it only justifies Levi’s suspicion further.  Levi KNOWS he’s lying.  As it’s established again and again throughout the manga, Levi’s probably better at reading people than anyone.  He’s got a better grasp on human nature, and on seeing what makes people tick than any other character in the story.  He knows how people work, and has probably been exposed to more kinds of people than anyone else.  So he knows Zeke is full of shit when he tells him that he “wishes I hadn’t had to do it, but I did.”.  Levi is willing to admit to Zeke that he doesn’t know if he really wants to save Eldia or not, he can’t know Zeke’s true motivations, and he willingly says so to Zeke, but he can tell Zeke is lying about his remorse.  Levi keeps asking him why he did what he did to Ragako, because he’s trying to glean if he’s somehow misread Zeke on this point.  He’s trying to see if Zeke really DOES feel bad about what he did, if he feels any kind of genuine remorse.  He’s trying to see if there’s anything at all human in Zeke.  The fact Levi is even looking for that in him, after all Zeke’s already done to him and his friends, is frankly remarkable.  That he’s willing to extend him that courtesy, to extend him that benefit of the doubt.  But then Zeke continues to be dishonest with him, and to act snide and dismissive of Levi’s anger, and Levi flat out calls him on it.  Zeke thinks he’s super smart, that he’s just fucking with Levi and having a laugh at his expense, but he’s unaware that Levi is studying him here, paying attention to the language he uses, to his body language, the way he says things, the tone he uses, etc...  Levi’s reading him, and looking for clues as to Zeke’s true feelings.  He isn’t assuming at all, the way Zeke accuses him.  He’s trying to see if Zeke means what he’s saying, to understand if there’s more to Zeke than he’s letting on, to understand if Zeke maybe isn’t as heartless as he acted in Shinganshina that day, and he concludes from Zeke’s behavior and carriage that, no, he doesn’t mean what he’s saying at all about feeling bad, and he isn’t any different from the demented murderer who took real pleasure in killing a bunch of defenseless soldiers.  He’s telling Zeke that yeah, maybe you really did it all to save Eldia (which turns out to be a lie anyway.), but you don’t feel anything at all at having killed a bunch of innocent people who had nothing to do with anything, and who never did anything to Zeke himself.  And then Zeke’s response to this is to continue to mock Levi and make light of the whole thing.  And people wonder why Levi hates the bitch so much.  Zeke is the very definition of a conman, a pathological liar who’s willing to use any trick in the book and hurt anyone, so long as it gets him what he wants.  When you look at Zeke’s actual, driving motivation too, it’s the definition of petty.  He literally wants to wipe out an entire race of people so he can stick it to daddy, all while deluding himself into believing it’s for the greater good, that he’s doing it to “save the children”.  Bitch, please.  This guy knows deep down it’s not that, that he’s just upset ‘cause daddy didn’t love him enough, and he’s going to take out his anger and pain over that on an entire race of human beings.  The same way we saw Zeke take out his anger at his father on the Survey Corps in Shinganshina, the way he lost control of his temper and started screaming at them all, calling them pathetic and disgusting, etc...  That’s who Zeke really is.  Someone willing to murder innumerable people to satiate his own pain at having been neglected for a couple years as a child.  And running up against Levi’s blunt honesty and noble pursuit of wanting to help as many people as possible, running up against a character as selfless and non-judgmental as Levi, you really couldn’t have two more opposed characters.

What pisses me off about Zeke too is his smugness.  He accuses Levi of making assumptions about him, but it’s actually Zeke who’s the one assuming.  He assumes Levi is just a dumb soldier who’s easy to manipulate because of his compassion, and Zeke’s entire plan hinges on that assumption.  That he’ll be able to deal with Levi because he thinks he’s just some kind hearted idiot who won’t be able to kill his own soldiers once they’ve been turned into titans.  But like I said, Zeke’s the one here who’s being read.  He’s exposing himself to Levi without even realizing it, thinking he’s the one in control of the situation, pulling the wool over Levi’s eyes, and amusing himself with it.  But Levi never once falls for Zeke’s bullshit.  He knows the guy’s a lying sack of shit, knows he’s up to something underhanded, knows the words he’s spouting aren’t anything but a twisted manipulation.

Honestly, I don’t get people who complain that Zeke made a fool out of Levi, or that Levi was acting out of character by letting Zeke rile him up.  Levi isn’t riled up here.  Not at all.  He never loses his temper in these exchanges, he never gets overly angry or upset.  He’s observing Zeke, and telling Zeke exactly what he thinks of him.  Again, it’s Levi’s honesty against Zeke’s deceitfulness.  Zeke’s the one that looks like the asshole here, because, well, he is.

Lucifer

“Humans are weak,” he thought.  “MC needs my help to survive,” he thought.  Haha bitch no they don’t.

The first time Lucifer sees MC lift something they really don’t look like they should have been able to carry, he’s about to rush over to take it from them.  But, seeing them not struggle at all, he’s so shocked that he ends up cemented in place.  He was gaping a little bit, but good luck getting him to admit that part.

He’s never going to truly get used to it, but he does appreciate the extra pair of hands around the house.  However, MC has to be really careful about what they take up.  Helping Lucifer move some heavy boxes because there’s a lot of them and it’ll save time?  Sure thing.  Helping Lucifer move a heavy box because it looked heavy?  His pride won’t let them get away with that.

On the bright side, Mammon’s suddenly pulling his weight around the house.  Lucifer can’t complain about that.

Mammon

Ok so what you do is set up an arm-wrestling stand and make mad bank and then

Mammon is in quite the pickle, because he keeps trying to show off to seem cool in front of his favorite human, but every time he offers to carry something they say they can do it and then actually can do it????  How is he supposed to look cool when they’re cooler?!

Maybe he’s being self-conscious, maybe it’s just an easy out, but he starts blaming MC’s strength for things that don’t make any sense.  “If it weren’t for MC and their dumb muscles, I wouldn’t have forgotten to buy eggs!”  Mammon, what are you talking about?

It’s not a problem, because literally everyone calls him out on how that’s bullshit and doesn’t make sense.

His quest to look cool in front of them never truly ends, so he’ll fight heavy lifting out of their arms and take care of it instead, under the guise of “you’ll hurt yourself” and “I’ve gotta protect my human.”

Leviathan

MC is lucky that Levi is technically still stronger than them, because that envious streak isn’t one that they’d want to have to deal with.

And since Levi is technically still stronger than them, we instead get the whiny, petty “why can they do that and I can’t?”  Maybe it’s because you haven’t exercised in 500 years, Leviathan.

He’ll beg them to share their secrets with him.  They’re human, right?!  It has to be easier than whatever it is that Beel does!  He wants to be stronger too, like the hero in I Want to Ask My Childhood Friend Out, but She Said She Would Only Date Me if I Won a Triathlon and I’ve Never Run a Day in My Life Because I Have Wings.

It’s definitely not because he wants to spend more time with them and hog their time and maybe see them in their element.  Nope.  No way.

Kind of wants to be carried by them, just once.

Satan

Little known fact about Satan: jars have a vendetta against him.  Or, at least that’s what he says.  In truth only about one in every ten jars he tries to open give him trouble, but when everything pisses you off that adds up to every single jar personally being out to get him.

And let me tell you, it doesn’t really make him feel better when sweet, unassuming MC is able to force it open when he wasn’t.

Oh but he’s not angry at them!  He’s just VERY angry at the jars.  Ok, well.  He’s a little angry at MC for one-upping him, but he controls himself because strong or not, MC is still human and he could snap them like a twig if he isn’t careful.

Moving forward, he appreciates that he can ask MC for help with lifting and the like instead of Mammon or Levi or, ex-father-but-not-really forbid, Lucifer.  But he’s not going to be direct about it.  He kind of just pointedly complains about it until MC gets the hint.

Low-key he also wants to see MC beat someone up (preferably not him).

Asmodeus

To say that Asmodeus finds that attractive would be an understatement.  Ooh, there’s just something about someone who could bench press you that’s so thrilling.

And to say that Asmo will walk anywhere ever again is a foolish assumption.  Have fun carrying him, MC.  He’s not very heavy, luckily, but he’s basically dead weight in their arms with how he drapes himself.  And knowing that MC can support his weight, he will jump into their arms without warning.  Or on their back.  Anywhere, really.

He’s also never lifting a finger again, so have fun with that as well, MC.

If anyone threatens him or gives him attitude, he’ll threaten them in return, saying that he has a really strong human.  And then he’ll actually call MC to try to get them to put Asmo’s money where his mouth is.  Please don’t humor him here, MC.

It all seems rather selfish, but Asmo really adores MC and their strength, and he makes sure he drowns them in compliments whenever he’s being a spoiled princess.

Beelzebub

Beel is as strong as he is because of exercise and dedication.  He breaks the assumption that he’s by default the second weakest of his brothers, so the fact that MC is also stronger than they look doesn’t surprise him all that much compared to the others.

(I feel like that’s a common thing with Beel--I guess he’s just good at accepting whatever new nonsense life throws at him lolol)

More importantly, though: does MC have a workout routine?  Because if they’re doing something to hide all that muscle in that body, Beel wants in on that secret.  Also he wants a workout buddy.

Can and will drag MC to the grocery store because that’s more bags of food to carry.

He can lift MC easily, but he’s excitedly looking forward to the day that MC can lift him.

Belphegor

The best word that Belphie can think of for this is “convenient.”  Because he’s light for his size, and MC could probably carry him as well.  And that means that finally--FINALLY--he has one more person he’s comfortable letting carry him to a better napping spot.  When Beel isn’t home it’s really tough for him, y’know?  Under the table isn’t fun, but no way in hell was he gonna let Levi pick him up.

Like Lucifer he’s a little bit like “what?  I thought humans were all baby.”  And yet he kind of thinks it’s cute?  MC is so… human.  But they can give a good fight.  Like a small bear.

He will bribe and dare MC to get into trouble with him.  “Hey MC, don’t you think that whole marble statue would look better in the middle of Lucifer’s study?  Right on his desk.  Or even better, let’s block the door.  Yeah, the feng shui of the room is all messed up and I think a giant statue in the way would really help.”

They’re both going to get in so much trouble but seeing Lucifer’s face is enough of a reward.

* So, the main issue in any relationship would be how much work be takes on. He's always busy, or has something that needs to be done.

* This can go 2 ways.

* He can either be super hurt when MC tries to dump him, so he tries to change thing: a little, make more time for them, or talk to Diavolo. (He won't talk to Dia.)

* OR. MC can talk to Diavolo. Lucifer will pretend he doesn't know but, he does. His pride won't let him thank MC.

* He really likes having MC near him, just in the same room while he works. He's content.

* He gets angry when MC blows up, or comes at him on offense. If they come at him accusatory, his prideful self will shoot right back, and he probably will say some hurtful things.

* However if MC has a sit down, like "we need to talk," and then "I just feel like you've been so busy and we haven't had time together..." He is way more likely to feel guilty and want to fix things, and will take active steps to fix the issue so he doesn't see his love cry.

Mammon

* Mammon will be super hurt if MC ever insults him.

* "You can't do anything right" or any name calling.

* MC is the one person who has never called him names/insulted him, so if they ever do, he'll break down.

* When they say something, his first reaction is disbelief. Then he'll shout back, say something about how MC is like everyone else.

* Genuinely will need some time to recover, maybe a couple weeks, even after MC has apologized

* He needs lots of reassurance, love, and attention.

Leviathan

* The easiest way to hurt Levi is to joke about how dating him was a joke. Or to call him a name. Or talk about how you're leaving Devildom. It will really set him off.

* Immediately ignores MC, will not look them in the face.

* Completely stoic. "It's best if you leave now then."

* Immediately breaks down when MC leaves. He is terrified of being abandon and the fact that he has so many feelings for them and is so attached, terrified him. So for MC to go back home, why should they date when he can get more attached.

* Probably does something destructive during his breakdown, and then when MC comes back bc LOUD noice, he's sobbing, mid panic attack on the floor.

* Just hold him for a while and love on him, do some deep breathing with him.

* Once that's over, a long talk about what will happen when MC leaves, if they want to come back, if they, maybe, want to stay.

* Genuinely contemplating life in the human world. MC should probably stay in DD.

Asmodeus

* Probably starts when MC gets fed up with his self love.

* OR. MC is worried Asmo would cheat on them,,, and then Asmo is very upset.

* Initially believes that its about him, and his sin.

* Will avoid MC for a while, wallowing in self pity and self care. Cries while doing his nightly face mask.

* Needs a sit down and validation. Needs to know that MC is more so insecure, and that it isn't his fault.

* Feels bad but also has always done his best to make sure MC knows that they are his one and only, even if he is a bit flirtatious once in a while.

* Also tries to lessen his flirting, unless MC is okay with it.

Satan

* The most likely way he'll get hurt is when MC is scared of him.

* (Which, MC should be. He is a demon, of wrath. He needs to feel these negative emotions in order to work on them.)

* Thinks MC believes everything his brothers say, and how they have only dated him out of pity. Knows its not true but also is not really in his right mind.

* Has a whole downward spiral about how he will never be good, never be able to fix things and just won't be able to have a stable love life because of his anger.

* Firstly, he needs space. MC needs to leave him alone, let him stew and for his anger to run out of fuel. He would never hurt MC. Ever. But he will probably yell at them.

* After space, he needs love, reassurance. He needs to know that MC WANTS him. He needs to be wanted and known that he is him, not anyone else.

* Next, he's going to need a long talk. What should MC do when he's angry? What does MC need from him? He'll need a lot of explaining, because he isn't used to the actual conversation like this.

Beel

* Honestly is not super easy to upset.

* He can get a little sad, but he won't really get "angry" unless food is involved.

* It will probably someone else who insults him, or hurts his feelings.

* Honestly will just need some love and reassurance from MC, and maybe his brothers.

* He honestly gets over things quick, but will feel super guilty for a long long time if he hurts anyone elses feelings. He loves MC, and he is confident that they love him too.

Belphie

* Will definitely be hurt if MC calls him lazy, or gets angry at him for sleeping.

* Probably needs a sit-down talk instead of MC just "yelling" at him.

* Will be stoic, needs space to sleep. And recoop.

* He'll need MC to apologize before he is ready to have a sit-down talk. Realizes MC didn't mean it, and it was just out of anger but he's definitely still upset.

* Tries to be less "lazy" but doesn't do a great job of it. Will need love and affection to get over it, but will forget about it in a week or two

* Probably also needs time to wallow in self pity. Just let him be sad for a bit.

Lucifer

Finding out that you actually found someone else to love would… hurt, to say the least. He’s heartbroken, but doesn’t let anyone know, especially not you; he doesn’t know if his pride can take the sympathy you would give him, especially when he thinks back to the times he could have done something more. He’s possessive of the time that he actually does have with you now, knowing full well that you are, in fact, not his-- entertaining the idea that he could sweep you off your feet. He derives pleasure from knowing that his pact is still on your body where it can be known to your love that he claimed you at one point. Know that if he ever meets your lover, expect icy stares and non-starting conversations from Lucifer. If you tell him that it bothers you, he would eventually prevent his hostility from going too far. He would never stop you from being with your lover-- especially since they make you really happy. (Who is he to deny that for you anyways when he’s hurt you in the past?)

Mammon

The man is actually really hurt, especially since you found someone so unexpectedly. Mammon is frustrated that things ended up this way, but he’s more mad at himself than anything else. He wished he was more open with his feelings because maybe then something could have changed and he would have had a chance with you. Sudden as it is, it’s hard for him to put anybody else above you, but the heartbreak is actually hard for him to handle. He hides his feelings by being overly protective of you: checking up on your lover, checking up on you, and being overall a little clingy. Unless you tell him otherwise, he won’t stop, but if you express any discomfort, he’ll retreat into himself and deal with his feelings by himself. You’ll probably have to give him a lot of time to get over you because he was so in love with you and he regrets not being able to tell you.

He’s disappointed but… what can he say: he kind of expected it? Levi always has had the habit of being self-deprecating to the point that it comes naturally to him (sad boi :( ), so when things like attraction and love don’t fall in his favor, he can’t say he’s actually surprised. He probably doesn’t even realize that he represses these feelings for you and acts like normal as your best friend. As a result, however, he does have these sudden flares of jealousy when you talk about your lover or he sees a picture of the two of you together. He’s quick to distract himself with other things, be it anime, gaming, or doing something with you. He tells himself that he’s happy for you-- and he is, but it’s hard to let go of his romantic feelings for you so abruptly especially when he refuses to address it.

Satan

Satan doesn’t know how to react at first. He’s surprised at how sudden it is, and then it’s all regret from there. He wished he had talked to you more, made his intentions more obvious, or even just telling you out-straight so that at the very least, he would feel like he tried his best and got closure. But now that you’ve found someone else-- and are happy with them-- he cannot bring himself to bring to light his feelings because it wouldn’t be fair for you to deal with them. Out of all the brothers, he’s the one most used to keeping a happy front, used to hiding his feelings of anger, so choosing to hide that he’s actually pretty sad that he no longer had a chance with you is natural to him. But any time your lover ever dares to make you unhappy… consider them threatened. If you don’t look into it further, you’d never know that Satan ever harbored feelings beyond friendship and that your lover passes him a wary glance every time they see him.

Asmodeus

He doesn’t know what to say. It’s hard for him to process what he’s feeling when he’s swiping through pictures of you and your lover together or when you tell him and his brothers shyly that you found someone you’re happy with. What about him? Why couldn’t you love him? He probably acts pretty normally around you, but for a while, he tries to avoid you when he can. Every time he sees you, he’s just reminded that you didn’t choose him. Asmo goes out a lot more often and surrounds himself with people that-- he realizes later-- he doesn’t really care about. But it’s a lot easier to avoid how he’s feeling when he’s trying to have fun. Even if he doesn’t mean to, he is more distant with you, and unless you talk to him, he probably will not willingly acknowledge that what he’s feeling is, in fact, heartbreak, because that means for whatever reason, despite how beautiful or lovely he is, he just wasn’t for you.

Beelzebub

Beel is sad, and he wishes he could be less obvious about it, but thinking that he wouldn’t have a chance to be with you anymore makes him queasy. It alarmed you and his brothers the first time he stopped eating so early in dinner that he made a few excuses-- not very good ones-- at first, but it happens so often everyone thinks he’s sick. Which is true to an extent-- he’s not physically sick, but he definitely is lovesick. He doesn’t really like to confide with anyone about the fact that he was-- is still in love with you even though you already have someone else because he feels like he should have stopped the moment he found out you were unavailable. Eventually though, he quietly tells Belphie before they sleep, and that’s one of the first times he acknowledges his feelings and the pain that comes with pretending to be okay with it. He wished he was just okay and that he could be happy for you, but for the moment, it’s hard to be when he feels so heartbroken.

Out of his brothers, he readily accepts that you found a lover in a human most. He expected that you’d find someone you’d love, and it’s only fitting that the person that can make you happy is someone that could grow with you. He’s disappointed, of course, and it shows in his lethargy and half-hearted responses to things regarding your lover-- but you only need to give him time to get back to something close to normal. If you gush about your lover, however, he isn’t so patient or gracious as to respond without being a little annoyed. As much as he wants to be happy for you right off the bat, he’s still nursing a wounded heart, and seeing you so blatantly happy with someone that’s not him is making him a little angry because surely even you could tell that he had some feelings for you. As long as you don’t really speak about your lover in front of him, he can steadily make peace with his feelings

-Not to mention he loves how happy you look when you finish one of your projects

-I saw these knitted animals that people can make online and Satan would love those-

-Seriously, he would keep them in his room, fully visible for anyone to see

-You two would have these cosy little chats in library while he reads and you knit

-He likes the gifts you made for him as well but the man would be too flustered to show his gratitude besides a quiet ‘thank you’

Asmo:

-Girl, you can knit??

-He makes such a big deal about it even though it’s just something you like doing from time to time

-He brags about your hobby to people more than you do

-He’s always nearby when you do knit

-Asmo will be offended if you don’t ask him to wear your scarves and hats

-He’s usually the one suggesting what colours you should make them out of and will wear them accordingly

-I mean, you can knit and he’s into fashion, so there are times he asks if he can help you in any way

-Oh but don’t spend too much time on knitting OK? You still have to give him a lot of attention

-Not to mention it’s bad for your skin to obsess over a hobby!

-He likes doing your hair while you knit, brushing it and gossiping about anything that comes to mind with you

-Pleass teach him how to knit too! He’s interested enough even if he doesn’t get it the first time around!

-Half of his closet is made of your woolly jumpers and other pieces of clothing you made

-They also kinda remind him of you whenever you’re away

-They’re like a comfort objects for him because they smell like you and he’s lonely

Beel:

-You like knitting? Cool

-He doesn’t really react

-I mean, he’s supportive but he doesn’t want to seem annoying by asking you many questions

-He really loves how your face lights up whenever you start talking about your hobby

-It makes him equally happy

-Beel does want to know what you do in your spare time when you’re not eating with him

-So, he’ll watch you sometimes as you knit, asking questions every now and again

-He finds it endearing with how determined you get when you want to finish a project

-However, he gets worried about you

-He’s a bit anxious that you’re not getting enough rest or food with how much you spend on knitting

-So he often brings you snacks and encourages you take breaks

-He gets as excited as you do whenever you finish something

-He will feel absolutely honoured with a capital H if you were to make him anything

-But, he‘s kinda scared he’ll start munching on your hand made gifts if he’s too hungry

-Is surprised that you can make so many things out of wool?? And it’s not even edible wtf????

-He would love to learn how to knit as long as you’re willing to teach him!

-His hands may be a bit too big for him to do so but he’ll try!

-He’ll do anything if it means he gets to see your smile

Belphie:

-“Can you knit a pillow?”

-Literally the first thing he asked

-The moment you said yes, he’s wide awake

-At first, he wasn’t really interested in a human custom like ‘knitting’

-He was still going through his “I hate every human being except you my dearest MC.” phase

-But he liked the sound of you knitting as he slept

-And he found watching you knit was kind of relaxing too

-It lulls him to sleep in a way

-You made him a small cow printed pillow one day to match his actual pillow

-And he adored it

-He usually has it on him

-He loves anything you give him, especially if you made it yourself

-Like Asmo, he seeks comfort in your knitted creations whenever you’re away

-He likes anything cuddly and fluffy that you make whether it’d be pillows, or knitted plushies or even clothing

-He shares most stuff with Beel so in the end you made identical cardigans for the two of them which Belphie appreciates immensely

-It’s a bonus for him to see you so fired up and excited about something too

-He finds your bubbly attitude when it comes to knitting cute

-He doesn’t have the patience to even attempt knitting but again, he loves watching you do it

-He honestly doesn’t think he deserves any of this but he will embrace it

-But uh, hey, take a break will you? Go take a nap with him before finishing that

Thoughts on Grey’s Anatomy: 17X12

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

Well that was an intense episode. Wow. I have to say this episode left me shaken, but I think that was the point. To put it in your face and make you take notice. The other bad stuff going on in the world doesn’t just stop because there’s a pandemic going on as much as we all wish it would. In this episode the show covered a lot of ground. They showed the Black Lives Matter protests and talked about previous protest movements that have taken place. They tackled police brutality and anti-black racism and violence and how traumatizing and fatal a simple traffic stop can be if you’re black.

They showed anti-Asian racism and the difficulties of treating someone who doesn’t think COVID-19 is real. They addressed issues about health care reform in the United States and how the most vulnerable people in society are the hardest hit right now. It was a hard watch. It boggles my mind that there are people out there that think COVID is a hoax or that health care professionals are getting kickbacks of some kind. People who believe that have a greatly over estimated view of how government and health care institutions operate. The idea that a government or a hospital would ever be in a position to do such a thing is absurd and the idea that people would perpetuate that on a mass scale is just ridiculous.

The patient that Bailey treated who was a COVID denier infuriated me! How can people be so stupid? So ignorant? So disrespectful? I get why Bailey freaked out and had to take a minute. I would too. I love that she still tried to help the man get better and tried to frame things in a way he could understand. But he still refused and while she was gone, he signed out AMA. Ultimately, he was killed by his own ignorance and I felt for Bailey when she was ranting to Teddy about how ridiculous it all is.

This was a small moment but when Bailey comes over to talk to the COVID denying patient he calls the surgical resident whose treating him, Dr. Mabel Tseng, a nurse. After Bailey corrects him, he doesn’t apologize he just calls them ‘her’. So not only does this guy think COVID is a hoax but he’s also racism and sexist. I like that they showed that just because there’s a pandemic going on and the focus of the episode is on anti-black racism and police violence that doesn’t mean that the racism and sexism that other people experience magically goes away.

I like the way they handled the protests and showing the different ways people choose to respond in times of crisis. Richard went to march, Jackson realized he felt like he wasn't doing enough, Catherine continued to try to work within the system, and Hayes had to make difficult choices about whether to let his boys go to protests and was injured when he had to step in front of someone who tried to attack his sons. I hate that this stuff isn’t fictional. I hate that there are real people out there getting hurt and killed every day for no reason.

As a white person I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for parents and guardians to have to make decisions about this kind of thing. How do you keep your child safe when the people you are supposed to call in an emergency want them dead? What do you do when the state itself considers you disposable? A non-human object? Do you march and protest and try to make your voice heard and make a difference? Or do you stay home and keep to yourself and try to help in other ways? What do you do knowing that just being at home does not keep you or your child safe?

One bright spot in this episode for me was seeing Hayes interact with his sons and getting to see more of their dynamic. Watching him grapple with figuring out what the right thing to do was with regards to letting his boys protest or making them stay home was heartbreaking. Also the fact that he was so blasé about getting hit on the head with a Billy Club to the point that he needed stitches to Jackson really got me. The fact that he had to step in front of his children to stop them from being attacked by a neo-Nazi is insane and I hate that real people in real life have to deal with this.

I loved getting to learn more about who Hayes is as a parent and his relationship with his boys and his sister-in-law. I loved the scene at the end there where he told them he realized he was wrong and that this was their country and if they want to protest, they should but only during the daytime and only with him for safety. I particularly liked that scene because they’ve established that Hayes is Irish and that he grew up and spent most of his adult life living in Ireland before moving to Switzerland and then the U.S. But his wife Abigail was an American which would make his boys Irish American and most likely dual citizens.

His boys are black and biracial, and they were born in another country and recently immigrated to the U.S. This episode takes place at the end of May in 2020. Trump was still in office and things were going from bad to worse. Which is a very scary time to be all of those things for Hayes’ boys, so I get why he struggled with this. But I also understand why he decided to let them protest. As Hayes says this is a moment. I wish that coming up on a year later we could say that things have radically improved. And while there have been some improvements not enough has changed. In the U.S., Canada, and so many other places.

The scenes with Winston being stopped by the police were scary and I hate that that is the reality for so many people. A lot of the issues they showed in this episode with regards to how black people are treated are just as much of a problem here in Canada. The rates are less in some cases because our population is lower than the U.S. and we have stricter gun control laws, but the issues are just as real and as heartbreaking. I felt like I was going to throw up watching those scenes.

It was so hard to watch, and I was so scared for Winston. What really got me is that I knew Winston wasn't going to die because they upped him to a regular cast member at the start of this season but for the real-life people who go through this that is not a guarantee. They don't know if they are going to make it out alive at a simple traffic stop. My heart broke for Winston and for Maggie. As a white person I cannot imagine the terror that black, brown, and Indigenous people in my own country and elsewhere must feel every time this happens. I got why Maggie was so distraught and unable to focus. I would panic too.

It would be extremely difficult for anyone to focus on their work when you know the police could be murdering your fiancé at that very moment. I'm glad that Richard was there to help and support her so that she could then help her patient. I definitely think Maggie and Winston are endgame. I got that vibe from the beginning and I still feel it now. I’m starting to feel like this season’s finale will feature Maggie and Winston’s wedding.

I also thought the scene where Jackson came to talk to Catherine about why she didn’t take him to protests as a kid and why they don’t go to protests was interesting. Jackson was upset because he suddenly realized that he felt like he wasn't doing enough or being involved enough. He wanted to know why his mother didn't take him to protests and why she taught him to work inside of a system that was never made to include people like them and still isn't. He's angry because that clearly isn't working. Catherine for her part felt like she had suffered enough and just wanted to keep her son safe and took what Jackson said as a personal offense.

This is one of the aspects of Catherine's character that I really don't like because she takes things really personally that aren't really about her at all. I liked seeing some more follow up to what Jackson and Mama Ortiz were talking about last week and Jackson's ongoing fight to really help people in Seattle in a more systemic and long-lasting way. I have no idea where Jackson is headed at the end of the episode and I'm really interested to find out. I also liked the scenes in the hyperbaric chamber where Levi heard Meredith's voice in his head telling him what to do and not to panic. He’s really coming into his own as a doctor. He’s no longer the bumbling idiot who dropped his glasses into a body cavity on his first day.

I thought the editing and the inclusion of Meredith’s voice was really well done. I’m disappointed that Jo is switching specialties and choosing to go into OBGYN because as I’ve said before I don’t feel that they’ve given us enough set up here. I thought we got some great set up in that one episode about her switching to Urology and being mentored by Catherine and I’m sorry they’re not going that route. She briefly talks to Hayes in this episode and they’ve worked a few cases together now and she still hasn’t brought up her desire to switch so I think it’s safe to say that Hayes won’t be mentoring her or training her. My guess is that Carina will be the one doing that. Although I can’t understand why Jo hasn’t approached her on screen or mentioned that by this point.

I think this storyline will only last so long if the show gets another season. There’s only so much content they can create out of ‘Jo delivers babies and sleeps with Jackson’. I think Jo will make the switch and then will get bored quickly and wind up re-specializing again in either pediatric, fetal, or neo-natal surgery. It was nice to see Teddy back at work and doing better and I really loved the sweater that Amelia wore in the brief scenes that she had. While watching this episode my best friend and I were talking about how those of us who lived through the pandemic and this time of social unrest will probably never want to re-watch certain episodes of this season and other shows or media from this time because it's just too hard.

It's too painful. It's too raw. I understand now why people who grew up during times of war and social unrest don't want to talk about it. Don't want to look at anything that reminds them of that time. We're still in it and I already feel that way. Onto next week’s promo! And it looks like I was right! Derek is coming back in what appears to be his last appearance. Him and Meredith are shown talking and embracing and I think Meredith is going to wake up and return to the land of the living once and for all. It’s also been revealed that April will be returning not next week but the week after. I’m excited to see what April returning will mean and how it affects Jackson and Jo’s storylines.

Since no limit was placed, I’ll just do some general headcanons for the first 4 brothers for now. Know that I’m willing to write about any other characters in Obey Me aside from Luke for future requests :)

Lucifer

Sadistic - but that’s a given with the game information. To be more specific, he sets strict rules for his darling and is very much a control freak; he has so many things going on in his life that he has to manage out of necessity, but his darling is a special case he’ll gladly take on 

If his darling breaks a rule, he enjoys doling out punishments. What type of punishment depends on his mood, the type of incident his darling caused, and if their actions affected Diavolo. God help them if if they insult Diavolo

Possessive with a capital P. His darling is his. No one gets to see them fall to pieces under his hands but him. No one gets to bring them to the peak of pleasure but him. They will fear him the most above all others if that’s the way his darling must cope with his methods. Lucifer would prefer an amicable relationship, but he understands he’ll be met with resistance with the standards he has

Praise will come rarely, so any darling that craves it will have to earn it by being on their best behavior. If his darling does manage to get him to praise them, he’s in a very good mood and will be more open to requests (he won’t let them go, but some new books, hobby materials, or food options are fair game)

He’s a yandere that will lock his darling away for their safety as well as his own comfort and ease. Dangers are everywhere in Devildom, and he knows his darling will manage to find trouble if left to their own devices or with his brothers. He’s not going to risk it. Besides, he’ll have a better hold on his darling if he’s the only one they interact with daily

Going off the last point, Lucifer would also hide his darling away to avoid Diavolo’s attention. By my read on their relationship, Lucifer holds little power to oppose Diavolo thanks to their pact, and Diavolo wanting in on Lucy’s darling would frustrate him beyond words - can’t he have just one thing for himself? I’ll be writing more on a Diavolo/Lucifer/Darling situation after requests are filled, but BOY do I wanna write about this now

Mammon

He’s needy. Mammon craves affection from his darling in any amount they’re willing to give. He’ll be the first to deny it if his darling or someone else points it out, but everyone knows

He Does Not Like To Share His Darling! At all!!! He will pout and whine and get even more clingy if he thinks his darling so much as looks at someone else with interest (imagined or not) - especially his brothers

His punishments are usually to reassure himself that he’s in charge, that his darling did him wrong and they should be grateful he’s their protector, that he even bothered to notice them in the first place. Any other demon would have left them to fend for themselves; he is the best demon a puny human like his darling could ask for

That said, when he isn’t worked up he’s very much a sub in his relationship with his darling and aims to please them. Praise doesn’t come too often for him, and he loves when he can get any positive affirmation. He’ll get testy if his darling outright insults him

He wouldn’t think about locking his darling away until much later. After his darling grows accustomed to living in Devildom, after Mammon starts realizing and (unwillingly) accepting his feelings, he notices how close his darling is with his brothers and the others, how easily they could be stolen away from him… he doesn’t like it one bit

Mammon wouldn’t think much about his plan before he sets things in motion by making a deal with some witches to set up a private space for him and his darling that no one can reach without his say-so. This of course incurs a ton of debt that he’s confident he’ll pay off in a jiffy (he won’t) and he only leaves when he needs to handle paying off his debts or deal with some Devildom official business - he’s the second most powerful demon brother under Lucifer, so as obnoxious as Mammon could be about how “important” he is, he’s not entirely wrong

If he’s in a good mood, he’ll spoil his darling as best he can with any material good he can think they’ll like. Just name it and it’s theirs. Unless of course they upset him, then he’s just as quick to take any privileges he gives away and remind them who’s in charge. It makes him hurt to have to punish his darling, so he tries to avoid it unless he thinks they need a reminder of who has to make the rules around here

Leviathan

Levi doesn’t have much experience with darlings compared to his brothers - throughout the thousands of years he’s lived alongside his brothers, he prefers to shut himself away most of the time. He’s had the least amount of darlings in his lifetime, and when they pass on he secludes himself to fantasize about his perfect darling (who’s usually based on a combination of anime characters and past darlings he’s had)

He’s so insecure, constantly worrying how he isn’t good enough that he bullies his darling into having them convince him that he’s who they want. His darling better be convincing though; if he senses pity or fear or anything else that takes away from their sincerity, he won’t be kind when he’s punishing them

He’s almost as overbearing as Mammon - that’s a feat in itself. Levi won’t isolate his darling though; he’ll manipulate and guilt his darling into wanting to stay with him to avoid his ire. They’ll manage to step on his toes in one way or another, finding some unspoken overstep as an excuse to point out their flaws

Honestly the “transport yourself into a video game” trope opens up so many fun options for Levi to play with his darling. He has games (similar to the one we witness in canon) where he and his darling can spend virtual weeks together without anyone to disturb them. He has games he knows his darling hates - horror games that are gruesome for demons, let alone a human, where his darling can’t escape and can die as many times as it takes for Levi to be pleased before he transports them back out. He has naughty games for when he wants to import his darling to watch them endure whatever scenarios fit his fancy - anything from tentacle porn to gangbangs. By the end of it, his darling will be so grateful to be back in the real world they’ll be begging to stay with him, just as long as they don’t have to go back in a game. Levi uses the affection to his advantage

He forces role play on his darling - Levi as the Lord of Shadows and his darling as his precious Henry. His darling better learn their lines and how Levi likes them to respond if they want to stay on Levi’s good side

His darling’s wardrobe consists of mostly Ruri-chan and Henry cosplay Levi purchases for them. No you can’t change my mind

Of course, if his darling isn’t in a game or reading some top manga series, Levi’s talking about it to them or having them watch/read along with him. He just wants to share what he enjoys with the person he treasures, even if they’re just a simple normie human

Satan

Earlyon, his darling is warned by the other brothers that his smile is fake, that he’scynical and shouldn’t be trusted. But out of all the brothers, he comes acrossas one of the least intimidating, so it’s easy to gravitate towards him

Tbhhe’s likely not interested in his darling at first – humans are lessercreatures to demons, food for most and potentially nuisances when one makes apact with a powerful demon. Until he finds something noteworthy, like how quicklyMammon forms a pact with this human, he doesn’t see much potential

He’s pretty reasonable up until he’s angry; for a darling surrounded by dangers and demons,he appears to be the least likely to harm them, and they accidentally push one of hisbuttons at some point. Once his limit is reached, he is terrifying – wrath isin his name and he lets his darling know when he’s displeased

After the first time he loses his temper, he’ll givehis darling clear warnings before he punishes them. He uses his darling’s fearof his punishments to his advantage, encouraging “good” behavior with thethreat of “or else” in the background

He has some notable similarities with the eldest brother: a sadistic streak a mile long and a preference to dominate/need for control to ensure his darling is undoubtedly his. How Satan shows these traits is different in key ways, however

Satan is sadistic more often when he’s feeling neglected, miffed, or bored with his darling. He’s not as strict as Lucifer, actually allowing his darling the freedom to act on their own accord in most cases. It gives his darling the chance to show him how much devotion they are willing to give him without him commanding it. If he gives an order, however, he expects his darling to obey

Unlike Lucifer, Satan doesn’t have the risk of things going Bad if something doesn’t go his way; Lucifer needs to please Diavolo or risk failing on his end of the pact, and so control is key for him. Satan likes control, but to the extent of knowing he has the final say. Satan doesn’t want to control every aspect of his darling - at the end of the day he wants his darling to voluntarily choose him, even if only out of fear of his displeasure - but he will have them

Satan has his own possessive habits - he needs affirmations that his darling is his. Either he’s marking them in some primal way or he has his darling reassure him through their actions

He stalks his darling. Have you seen how aware he is of his brothers’ activities in-game? It’s almost unnerving in some situations - and that’s just canon material. Satan watches his darling out of curiosity at first before it grows into an obsession for him. After a while he knows every little detail, every mannerism, every preference. All those outings he asked his darling to join him on before he actually clarifies he wants to date them? They’re all used as opportunities for Satan to review later

Advice to any darling of his: Do NOT compare him to Lucifer if you know what’s good for you. Just. Don’t. He won’t kill you, but you will wish he did by the time he’s through with you

I say this as several of my points are comparing his similarities/differences with Lucifer hahaaaaaaaa sorry Satan
