•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Matt and I’s relationship has been very very private, we've been trying to keep it that way till we both collectively agreed to go public. Matt was down in the garage filming for a Friday video and I was endlessly scrolling on TikTok, I came across this edit of Matt, I didn't think much of it till i saw the comments.
Mattscupsupremacy: THE HICKEY?! WHO IS SHE?? MATTS A FREAKY GAL
Chrissypoohmylover: UHM MATTHEW?? what a freaky man.. she’s one lucky girl to be getting that fire dick
Nickismyqueen: WHY IS NO ONE POINTING OUT THE FACT HES NOT EVEN TRYING TO COVER IT UP??
Yamother6629: we lost another one girls… Funeral at my place at 6 pm tmr 😔💔
Thefourthtriplet5239: MATT SEEMED SO VANILLA.. who would ever guess that man is kinky?
“No no no” I say panicking out loud and immediately jumping out of bed and running through the house and busting the door open to the garage where Nick, Matt, and Chris are barging into the garage which sends the boys into an immediate panic
“Okay so you can edit this out of the video but it's an emergency,” I say out of breath.
“Girl go the fuck on, you said it’s an emergency, spill let’s go” Nick says snapping his fingers.
“Okay, patience, so I was scrolling through TikTok like normally waiting for you guys to finish filming and I scroll across this Matt edit,” I say trying to find the edit on my phone.
“Y/N how many times do I have to tell you to stop watching edits of me, I'm right here no need to fangirl over me,” Matt says with a sense of cockyness in his voice.
“No no hold on it gets better, so I scroll through the comments cause you know it's funny watching as the 12-year-olds talk about you being their ‘baby’-” start before Chris cut me off
“GET TO THE FUCKING POINT YAPPER,” Chris says throwing his hands in the air
“Says the one who goes on about putting a literal tit milk-drinking infant in the backseat of a car with no car seat. So let's not talk about her yapping” nick defends.
“ANYWAYS, Matt you forgot to cover your hickeys from the other night and everyone knows about it now, cause when you moved out of frame your hoodie must have come down, and there are edits and people calling you ‘vanilla’ whatever the hell that means, and like everyone is wondering who the girl is and I'm like panicking now,” I say with panic in my voice “I know you weren't ready to go public but everyone is like freaking the fuck out” I continue.
“Fuck, I thought the hoodie was a good cover” matt sighs “look its fine well figure it out after I'm done filming just go back inside and calm the hell down” he gives me a quick peck on my forehead and shutting the door of the car.
A couple of minutes later I got a text from matt, normally he does send me the occasional ‘i love you, almost done filming’ message but this one was a little different.
Matty B Rapz 💍
you’re in big trouble for getting us caught
i hope you ain’t tired cause you’re in for a long night
This wasn't out of the normal for Matt to be rough with me but over text? This is new, but I love it. I could feel myself getting soaked at all the possible ways Matt could fuck me, all the positions, thinking of all the ways in which he could make me cum.
After an hour and a half of endless scrolling through TikTok, I can hear the footsteps of Matt through the hallway.
“Hi baby, how was filming?” I say as he walks in the door immediately shutting it and locking it.
“Don't ‘baby’ me, strip,” he says harshly as his eyes darken with lust.
A smirk appeared on my lips, and moved off the bed walking towards him as I placed my phone down on the bedside table and slowly and teasingly removed my pants and shirt leaving me in my light pink lingerie set that I knew drove him insane, the way it hugged my curves, pushed my Brests up with a small delicate flower in the middle, and my underwear that sat and hung onto my hips with another small flower in the middle of it.
“So fucking sexy,” Matt says under his breath causing a light shade of pink to appear on my cheeks.
Matt wraps his arms around my torso and unclips my bra letting my breasts fall and the straps of my bra fall off my arms. He lightly pushes me back so I'm sitting on our shared bed as he places a deep and passionate kiss on my lips.
I yearn for more of his lips but he pulls away from me and starts trailing light kisses down my jaw and to my neck and sucking harshly on my neck so we have matching marks on my neck and soft moans escaping my lips.
“Since you had to go and get us caught,” he starts before sucking harsher in my neck in a pattern this time. “Everyone's gonna know who you belong to now” he pulls away walking back a couple of steps to admire the marks he left on my neck.
‘M’
His initial was spelled out on my neck.
“And you're not gonna cover that up. Got it?” he spits walking towards me and wrapping his hand around my neck.
“Yes, Matt” I whisper out
“Good fucking girl” he removes his hand from my neck and pushes me down so my back is now on the bed flat.
He lowers his body down, basically on his knees, and he leaves kisses down my stomach before kissing over my clothed pussy and a soft whimper comes out of my lips.
Using his teeth he guides my underwear off my legs and throws them on the floor with a smirk plastered on his face.
His face between my legs was always a sight for sore eyes, never failed to turn me on the way his blue eyes always stared at me through his eyelashes. He places small kisses around my thighs eventually making his way down to my dripping pussy and placing kisses everywhere around it but where I need him the most.
“Matt, please” I plead.
“What are you begging for? Use that filthy mouth of yours and tell me what you want” he says harshly.
“I need your mouth, please” i whine.
He smirks and uses his tongue to move up and down my folds collecting my juices he lets out a groan as the taste of my pussy touches his tongue. His lips attach to my clit sucking harshly on it.
“FUCK MATT” My back arches and my eyes roll back basically seeing my brain.
His tongue explores every inch of me as he keeps a steady gaze on me and how my body reacts to his mouth. His fingers trail into my begging hole that's clenched around the air begging to be fulfilled curling his slim fingers upward reaching a spot I could never reach by myself.
“MATT” I scream out as My thighs close his head in.
“Legs stay open” he mutters through my pussy.
His fingers now moving at a pace that's driving me absolutely insane, his muted moans against my pussy is only turning me on more.
“close” i breathe out trying not to strain my voice.
“hold it,” he says muttering against me as his nose flicks my clit digging his face deeper into my pussy. He was almost moaning as much as I was, typically he didn't even care if he cums, he gets off at watching me come unglued from his mouth or fingers.
“Please” I repeat pleading with matt.
“No, you're gonna hold it and you're gonna show me how much of a good girl you can be” he lifts his head continuing his pace with his fingers.
His gaze never left me, the way my back arched off the bed and my eyes rolled back just at his fingers was always so amusing to him.
“You always look so beautiful wrapped around my fingers,” he says smirking down at me and taking his lower lip between his teeth as he continues to arch his fingers inside me.
“PL-PLEA- CUM” i mutter unable to form a coherent sentence.
“Go ahead baby, let it all out” he coos in my ear in a low raspy voice.
The knot in my stomach snaps, and my orgasm hits me like a bus, my legs shake as my cum drips down into his fingers. he removes his fingers licking off my cum from them.
“Face down ass up, I ain't done with you” he says sternly.
I slowly nod turning around and holding myself up by my elbows taunting my ass around in the air. Matt smirks to himself removes his hoodie, and quickly removes his boxers and pants throwing all his clothes somewhere in the room.
I feel the bed dip down from the weight of his knees behind me. He reaches his arm around to my mouth places his hand below my mouth.
“Spit” he says harshly.
I obey spitting in his hand as he uses my spit to rub around the tip of his cock moving his hand up and down to coat his cock.
Matt aligns himself with my entrance and immediately bottoms out letting a loud groan escape his lips as my hips jerk backward and a loud whine leaks from my lips.
“You think you're so fucking innocent huh? Leaving those fucking hickeys on my neck” he spits thrusting harshly into me gripping onto my hair and pushing my head far into the mattress.
“I-im SO-SORRY” I scream into the mattress.
“Oh, you're sorry? If you were sorry you wouldn't be creaming all over my fucking. dick.” he says thirsting harder to annunciate his last two words as his head hangs low to look down at the white rim that's formed around the base of his cock.
“FUCKK” I whine out with tears starting to form in my eyes from the overstimulation. “CANT- CANT-TAKE” I muffle out as his hand pushes my head farther in the bed.
“You wanted this” he grunts “You take it” his hand travels down my body and starts to toy with my sensitive clit.
“OH BABY-” i scream out as my cervix begins to twitch around his cock signaling how close I was.
“Oh you think you're gonna cum soon?” he taunts rubbing faster on my clit as his thrusts begin getting sloppier.
“Pl-pl-please” I whisper yell to him.
“You're so fucking pathetic” he groans out using both hands and pressing my waist down the bed and rolling his hips into me getting deeper and kissing my cervix with his cock.
My legs began to shake and tremble “CLOSE” i choke out. his grip on my waist loosens up as he leans down and kisses my back.
“let it go, baby, let it all out” With that, the knot in my stomach breaks and I squirt all over the bed leaving a wet mess beneath me. “God damn baby you're so fucking sexy” he leaves small kisses on my neck as his thrusts got even sloppier.
“Oh fuck” he buries his head in my neck and groans as his cum begins to shoot out of him filling my hole of his cum.
He softly pulls out of me rolling me over now laying on my back and gives me a soft peck on the lips.
“Let me clean you up, yeah?” he smiles down at me and I shoot him a small smile back.
He throws on the same pair of sweatpants from earlier and walks softly and carefully to the bathroom wetting a small rag and bringing it back into the room.
“You did amazing, Y/N” he smiles up at me as he carefully runs the warm wash rag down my legs and anywhere else that was covered in cum.
“I am sorry about getting us caught, I know that we didn't want to go public just yet” I softly whisper as he makes his way next to me bringing me into his arms and placing a kiss down on my head.
“Hey, don't worry about it. We'll figure it out in the morning. But for now, just get some sleep," he says, running his fingers through my hair and occasionally kissing my head. We eventually drifted asleep, intertwined with each other.

He couldn't breathe.
Logan had been underwater before, felt the press of the ocean against his chest and struggled for oxygen. Battling for breath, no matter how small. He understood what it felt like to drown—sink to the bottom and never get up. His adamantium skeleton had been the cause of him drowning far too many times in his life; until he'd grown accustomed to the sensation of fighting for air.
This felt magnified. As if he'd been at the bottom of the Atlantic—straight down the Mariana Trench—for centuries.
Was this how it felt to be buried alive? To find yourself in a grave six feet deep with no way of clawing to the surface.
He never thought he'd understand the sensation that kept him up at night; the prospect of death was too little a threat for him to actually worry about. Unimportant to a man who had spent two centuries of his life barely finding any meaning to it. After all, what was the fucking point when he wound up right back here. In the shallow end of his grave, waiting to lay down and exhale his final breath.
Time fell back into place the moment you left. Fortuna. Someone he never thought would find him here; now brought him to his knees with one simple act.
There was misery in love. He knew this the moment he fell in his own universe. He understood the cost of what might come from you using your powers without restrictions; what Charles told you. Yet he fell anyway. He allowed his heart to open up and give you leeway into the broken pieces of his mind—a part of himself he chose to ignore.
He should have fucking known better than to repeat history here.
He should have ignored the strings that bound his heart to yours and left you alone.
He should have, he should have, he should have...
But he didn't.
Now he bore the brunt of consequences he knew would one day show up.
Your apartment door slammed open, nearly getting torn off the hinges as a familiar echo of heavy boots thumped across the hardwood floor. He felt his spine tense where he still knelt—hands clutching the pieces of your shattered mug. Fortuna wouldn't be returning. He knew her tricks, knew her endgame, and coming back to the scene of disaster was never her forte.
The scent of vanilla and Ambrose filled his senses, stinging his nose, as a familiar dark browned girl rushed to his aid. A backpack hit the ground, sunglasses discarded on the counter, as his variant's daughter clutched his hands in hers. He couldn't bring himself to look at her. Not when he broke right there in a place that held such happiness.
She seemed to understand. Peeling the porcelain out of his palms and placing it back on the table; finding what other shards she could to put them all together. The silence felt safe. Familiar.
Logan found himself suddenly thankful for the variant that once existed in her world. She could see the cues before they even washed across his face; the bitter grief that her father once went through. He knew from when he met her in the Void, he couldn't be that person for her. But when she looked at him like that—a daughter willing to fight alongside her father—he hoped that maybe...he could.
"Althea called me," she said softly, hands wrapped around his wrists. "Whoever she is attacked Wade's place first."
His head rose, anger trickling in his chest as Laura's brown eyes mirrored his own. "She's..."
"I know," she muttered, pulling him to his feet. "Wade filled me in."
"Is he-"
"Takes a lot more than that to kill a Deadpool." She grimly kicked shattered glass to the side, shoving it to a corner as he staggered to his full height. He wore a neutral expression—somber even. But Laura could see the pain in his eyes; an exact replica of the older man she once clung to as a child—begging him to live for her sake. "He sounded pissed. Althea hung up before he could fill me in on the gory details."
"Fortuna," he sighed, eyes fixed on the demolished window. He'd have to help you fix it after all was said and done—after he apologized for dragging you into a mess that was never meant to touch you. "She found me."
Laura's nose scrunched, brows furrowed. "You're ex? I thought she could control time, not...multiverses."
"Charles's theory was that she wasn't exactly controlling time. More like what made up the universe as a whole."
She nodded. "Time included."
"Time included," he repeated. "I didn't think she'd...get this bad."
"You left her behind," she stated, rummaging in your fridge for something to drink. "I guess a part of me can understand her anger."
He knew she wasn't talking about him, but rather the man she once looked up to. Nonetheless the words still stung the same.
In a different world Logan could picture her here on nights not spent at the mansion studying and training. He could see you bonding with Laura—teaching her the history of the X-Men. Showing her the love of a mother she never had.
The image punched him in the chest until his breath became nonexistent and suddenly...he was drowning again. A choked noise echoed in the back of his throat. Laura's head snapped in his direction with concern etched across her face. Any other day he'd loathe that look, but tonight he couldn't dig his way out fast enough to care.
The soda can she tossed his way nearly smacked him in the head; effectively snapping him out of whatever fucking stupor his own mind was intent on trapping him in. He caught it, breath rushing back to his lungs, and gulped down the shitty sugary crap his own kid loved.
"That's fuckin' disgusting," he bit out, watching her smile into her own can.
"I like it."
He winced as the taste hit the back of his throat. "You're a kid. You'll grow out of it."
"You've said that before Dad. And I'm not a kid-" She tensed as the word left her mouth. The title that was never meant to fall upon his shoulders; never supposed to tie him to another person.
Something hesitant flashed in her eyes, mouth now a thin line as she waited for his inevitable reaction to her slip up. The words he uttered beside the fire no doubt on the tip of his tongue: Whoever you think I am...you got the wrong guy. But standing there, watching his kid hold hope in her eyes that he might say something different this time, made him finally understand what the fucking point was.
He didn't want to be the wrong guy.
He just wanted to be what she needed. What you needed.
"No," he sighed, lips curling into a smile that said enough. You can call me Dad. You can give me that responsibility and know I'll fight like hell to make sure I live up to his legacy. "I guess you're not."
They allowed the silence to sit in their chest for a brief moment. A moment of understanding passed in their grim smiles that held so much more. He'd tell it all to her one day. How he once longed for a life exactly like this, for a kid of his own. How he never believed himself worthy of the title Dad. How he'd lay down his entire being if she asked it of him.
Today though, they shed the titles of father and daughter and donned one they knew all too well. Wolverine. Ironic that the one thing he loathed would one day be given to a girl who wielded it with pride.
"What are you gonna do?" she asked, pushing off the counter and reaching for her bag.
"Find her."
"And when you do?"
His heart paused as the realization of what was to come began to reenter his mind. Fortuna had you captive, dangling you on a string in the hopes he would latch on to rescue the person who held his heart. Logan felt the urge to leap. Save you from the clutches of someone willing to kill you just to bring him unimaginable pain.
To get even for what he couldn't do that night.
But he also knew...Fortuna didn't deserve what happened. The humans destroyed what the X-Men built. They were the cause of everything that occurred since he left. He couldn't let their trauma bring down the woman he once loved. Even if she was so adamant on watching him give over his life for a version of her not yet broken by unimaginable pain.
"I don't fuckin' know," he admitted.
She took another sip, crushed the can in her palm and tossed it to the bin in the corner of your kitchen. "Wade's gonna want to speak to you. Find out what happened here."
He nodded. "You got everythin'?"
"I'm set."
"You know you don't have to do this kid. It's not your fight."
Her eyes narrowed, the firm set of her mouth so much like his own. She was a fucking mirror he never thought he'd have; showing him pieces of himself he once thought too ugly to be seen. Yet they were the reason she shined so bright. He could see the stubbornness ingrained into her very own DNA. A testament to his own unwillingness to let things go; to take on the battle for someone else as long as they didn't get hurt.
So much like him. So identical.
He felt a streak of fear run down his spine at that thought alone. She'd have to suffer for it. Just as he did. But goddammit if he wasn't going to do everything in his power to save her from the pain of bearing the title Wolverine.
"You love her," she stated plainly, as if nothing else mattered in this world but those three words. "Which means she's my family. We protect our own."
She didn't give him a chance to respond, scooping up her sunglasses and propping them on her nose with a huff. Maybe she didn't notice how he stood there, eyes wide as something pricked his heart. Maybe she ignored it for his sake—so uncomfortable with being vulnerable like him. But either way he couldn't deny the fact that stared right at him in big shiny letters.
She was his daughter. Through and through.
Tumblr media
"She took my arms!" Wade's voice echoed down the hallway, giving Logan pause as Laura took the lead. "Do you know how petty that is? When I find that Scarlet Witch carbon copy I'm gonna shove my katana down her throat as I dance to dub-step-"
"Hi Wade," Laura said, cutting him off from what was about to be an impressive rant.
He spun, baby arms swinging limply at his side. "Oh good. The clone of the man I actually need. Tell me, did you find your father cause mommy has to speak to him."
Logan took that chance to follow her through the open door. His eyes took in the destruction of a once nice living room. Burn marks stretched from floor to ceiling in multiple places where Fortuna's whip had made contact. He spotted two limbs in a pile by the couch, blood pooling on the carpet as Wade steamed with enough fury to sharpen his senses.
She’d come here first looking for him. Which means she somehow knew exactly where to find him.
"Peanut!" he shouted, eyes narrowed and baby fists clenched. "Did you have a nice morning? Get some good head? Because I was attacked by the long lost daughter of Princess Diana."
Laura's head cocked to the side, brows furrowed. "Diana Prince."
"Whatever!"
"Wade." His greeting could have been better. Though he was never one for handing out sympathy to the nearest victim.
Wade ceremoniously collapsed to the floor on his back, thumping his head against the carpet as Logan stepped further into the room. The window was ripped clean out of the wall, glass scattered everywhere which showed how Fortuna found out about her variant self. Logan could practically see the fight happen in the present time.
It made his stomach sour—his heart a rapid beat against his chest.
"How long will it take for those to finish?" He gestured to the arms that currently pointed two middle fingers in his direction.
"Couple hours. Why do you ask? Want a handy?"
"Ew," Laura sighed. "I'm gonna find some food. Want anything?" When Logan shook his head, she quickly dipped back out into the hallway, leaving him to deal with the wallowing lump on the floor.
He sighed, stepped over Wade and grabbed him. "Alright c'mon."
"I'm half the man I used to be. Literally. She took the only good thing I had until Ness got back." The limp wave of small hands in his face had Logan cringing back.
"So she came here first then."
Wade barked out a laugh. "Oh you mean your ex? Sabrina the teenage BITCH!"
Logan huffed, dragged him to the couch that had long chunks ripped out of the fabric. "She's a lot older than you think mouth."
"Sorry my bad. We didn't exchange your preferred blowjob tips and trade secrets about you when she was cutting off my arms!" The roll of his eyes was involuntary, barely there, but Wade latched onto it like a dog with a bone. "Did you just-"
He turned his head, exasperation bleeding into the air. "Did he just roll his eyes at me?"
The room went still as the gears in Logan's head began to turn. The fear was now palpable enough for Wade to figure out exactly what was happening. He sat up straight, gaze latched onto the apartment across the street. The wall gaped like a wound, leaving a trail of ghastliness in its wake. Wade was surprised to see minimal bloodshed, merely the path of destruction left by a being with too much power, but the inkling of you in pain made his stomach churn.
The amount of information he extracted out of Fortuna was slim to none, but it didn't take a genius to figure out what she went after once she was done wreaking havoc in his home.
"Logan," he started, anger trickling into his heart. "Where is sweet angel?"
He sagged into the couch—grief cutting into his chest as images of your smiling face plagued his mind. No answer would have been good enough to explain what happened. His face stricken with despair—the way he clutched his hands into fists on his knees—told Wade everything he needed to know.
Fortuna wasn't here to only kill Logan. Why dismantle one life when she could bring an end to the memory of Logan Howlett in this universe too? She'd take all of them down with her if it meant enacting her revenge.
Starting with you.
"No," he breathed.
"I don't know where they would have-" He bit down on the inside of his cheek until copper burst on his tongue. "Where they'd be."
The longer he sat there, the more he felt himself sink into the despondent pit in his mind. Yet no matter how he struggled to claw at the ground, it continued to drag him in earnest. The sharp peal of laughter—of taunting words that set his teeth on edge—mimicked the sound of Fortuna.
He wanted to scream, but who would be there to listen? Who would be there to drag him from the darkness now that you were gone?
A bag was tossed to the couch, barely breaking through the murkiness in his own mind. Laura dragged the only working chair in the kitchen closer to the couch. The snap and hiss of a Coke being opened filled the dire silence. Giving Logan something to latch onto. He might tell her one day how being near her settled the raging storm in his head; the calm he could never quite acquire somehow flowing through her with ease.
He had people to help him find you; people who cared for your well being.
People who would die to bring you home.
There would be no end for them where you weren't safe. Where they didn't offer themselves up on your behalf. You were the best of them. It certainly wasn’t your fault you fell in love with a man too twisted and mangled by pain to offer you even the illusion of peace.
"I know someone who might be able to help," she said, chewing thoughtfully on a granola bar. "You may not like it."
Wade's sigh was deafening, his body flopping back onto the couch with a groan. "We are not dragging McAvoy into this. Not when Stewart is better drama wise."
She took another bite, distant gaze stuck to a busted picture frame of Wade and Vanessa on an anniversary of some sorts. Wade wore red, Vanessa wore black. They resembled a couple others might look up to. Logan used to stare at it often in his fitful nights of sleep. More so when you wandered into his life; thoughts of a future tantalizingly close to the tips of his fingers.
He wanted that with you. A life worth more than every battle he fought, every scar that didn't stick. All the fucked up things he did evaporated like steam floating off water the second he met your eyes.
You and your honey-like smile; your hand a soft yet sturdy grip in his.
"Is your universe similar to this one?" Laura inquired, back in the moment as her mind reeled with possibilities.
"Somewhat."
"In what way?"
"Places and people still exist. It's pieces of time that are different. History isn't the same here." He could recall you begging him to explain his past. What wars he fought in, what happened for him to get to this point. Yet whatever you recorded wouldn't match the history books housed in your library.
Laura nodded, downing the last of her soda. "So places. Anywhere special she might have gone that might mean something to you?"
His mind fell to the one place even he couldn’t approach. The space that housed so many memories—so much agony. But going back there would mean facing the other X-Men and Fortuna wasn't stupid enough to risk falling into that trap.
"The mansion is too risky."
He thought back to your shared room. The walls that once flickered blue with Fortuna's power as he held her through the nightmares. He thought of a small two story farmhouse that sat on the outskirts of the property line. A home Charles offered. One he intended to rebuild with the promise of holding onto a love so permanent.
His heart dropped, laying in the base of his stomach like a stone he never intended to swallow. "I know where they are."
Wade perked up, arms an inch longer than before. "Mind sharing with the class peanut?"
Logan couldn't hear him over the noise in his head; the knowledge that Fortuna would pull such a heinous act of revenge. Taking you to the place he promised her. It made for the perfect ending to her already tragic story. Logan wasn't sure if he wanted to rip his claws into the couch below, or charge out the door with no plan.
He settled for heading to the hall closet, yanking the door open with more force than intended. It slammed against the wall as he tugged free a black unlabeled duffle bag from the top shelf. After the battle to save Wade's universe, he didn't think he would need this old yellow suit anymore. At the time he was tempted to throw it out and forget it existed.
He eventually came to his senses.
Salvaging what he could and rebuilding small pieces in case the time came formed an amalgamation of what once resembled an X-Men suit. His fingers traced the silver X attached to the belt. The symbol that once held so much hope. Fortuna wore the same. A tie that kept them forever bound; forever each other's equal even in a different universe.
"You're going after her," Laura said.
"Of course he is." Wade stumbled to his feet. "We're finally getting that family road trip."
"Would now be the wrong time to say Avenger's Assemble? Or should we wait for the third act battle sequence?"
Logan felt the gaping maw of his heart grow the longer you were apart from him. An itch formed beneath his skin. The source was indeterminable but he knew what caused it to start. His entire being called out to you, begged you to survive until he managed to carry you to safety. Yet the biting horror of reality began to settle like a frozen chill in his veins.
What if he finally destroyed the only good thing about his life?
What if he was too late?
What if...you didn't survive?

You couldn't differentiate night from day anymore. After the first two hours, you were left with a stabbing pain in the side of your head—turning your vision blurry. After what felt like five or six (or perhaps eight) you gave up on trying to keep count. The veins were prominent against your hands as blood steadily dripped to the floor.
A pool of crimson agony that you could practically see yourself in.
If you opened your eyes, would you see the broken parts of a soul she seemed intent on dragging out? Would they match hers? The sound of her gravel lilted voice murmured in the corner of the room where she waited. A stoic figure of patience. Seeking penance for the harm caused to someone so innocent.
You both knew this was a fight meant for Logan. You knew only one of them walked away from whatever age old hatred still burned bright enough to burn the skin off your body.
That didn't stop you from wishing you could shoulder the burden for him. The words collateral damage didn't mean anything to you before. Merely things spouted to harm your already vulnerable and emotional state. But the longer you gave them time to sink in, the more you accepted her veracity. You would cease to exist one way or another come tomorrow morning.
This was the ugly undeniable truth.
The one thing Logan could not save you from.
"I know you're awake."
Fear curled around your heart like a fist as your eyes cracked open sluggishly—triggering a dull pain in your skull. The ability to speak was stripped from you after an hour of screaming. The hoarse echo of your voice sent a throbbing knife down your throat you chose to ignore.
So you stared at her; watched while she paced the floor in front of you—blue rolling off of her like waves from the ocean.
"He's gonna come for you," she muttered more to herself. "He'll show up."
You groaned and watched her stiffen—milky eyes flashing cerulean. The burn of the rope on your skin counteracted the searing ache in your torso. Her whip hung around her waist—coated in a dried layer of your blood. The sight sent bile up your throat even though your stomach remained empty. She stared at you as if you were someone else entirely; someone from a past life you'd never know about.
The need to inquire—to know more—began to build under your skin. But your body would no longer respond to what you wanted. The depletion of your energy affected more than your ability to speak; it tore at what little movement you had, ripping everything to shreds on the inside. You knew you looked half dead—felt like it too—but she could see the slight twitch of your mouth almost ready to open.
"Charles would have liked you," she revealed as if it were a small secret meant to be kept between the two of you. "He always had an affinity for those interested in mutant powers."
Sucking in a breath, you managed to force your voice to work. "I-I know the history."
"I bet you would." She glanced at the window where dusk crept into the late afternoon sky; brilliant hues of orange and red mimicking the pain in your body. "I didn't think I'd exist in this universe."
"You don't," you croaked. "I'm not a mutant."
Her lips curled, a small laugh exhaling from her mouth. "Yeah. I guess you're not. Maybe that's what he likes about you."
Logan's face seeped into the back of your mind; the tender smile he wore when you woke up together. The hope in his eyes that this might remain a consistent part of his life. That he may have lucked out on the prospect of getting to have you for as long as you chose to keep him.
Suddenly that part of your life felt a million miles away. Just barely out of reach, growing further in distance the harder you tried to capture it.
"I-I'm you," you mumbled, head tipping to the side. "That's why."
"No. You're not me." She regarded you with a look of pity, lips down turned in a mock pout. Ire burned in your chest with the embers of a flame lit by Logan. "You're weak."
You huffed, digging your nails into your palms to divert your attention from the pain. "I survived you."
The slap that whipped across your face was unexpected. You cried out—head falling back against the chair—as she stood over you. Power emanating from her stance. This wasn't someone to toy with. You could see how she craved to rip your tongue from your mouth; the need to silence her variant crawling beneath her skin.
But something held her back from approaching that final line.
Something scared her.
"You won't die if you do it," you wheezed, struggling to breath through a nose so clotted with dried blood. "That's not how this works."
She sneered. "And you're smart enough to know how all of this works."
"So it seems."
Her fingers gripped your wrist, nails boring into your already sliced open skin, as she leaned over you. "The Logan in this universe is dead." You stuttered out a halfhearted breath; body ringing with a plea to stop. To put an end to this fucking torture. "How did he die?"
You winced, leveling her glare with one of your own. "He sacrificed himself."
"You're fucking with me," she laughed, the sound shrill and hoarse.
Neither of you heard the creak behind her. You could barely register anything other than the rush of blood that pounded against your eardrums. She seemed to be enjoying how your body slowly deteriorated beneath the strain of the pain. Far too distracted to notice the person creeping into the house—sunglasses on her face—claws extended in a stance of defense.
"Who garnered enough fucking attention from Logan Howlett for him to sacrifice himself?" she jeered.
"His daughter."
Fortuna spun whip in hand, as a young woman stood mere feet away. Her head was cocked in interest as if she'd never quite seen two identical people in the same room. You knew her name the second your eyes locked on her form. The same dark hair, same grim tight lipped frown. The same silver claws and stubborn streak.
The sight of Laura Kinney took your breath away.
She stood before you every bit the girl that Logan made her out to be as he spoke about her in shared conversations at your kitchen table. You could see the mirror image of her father in each expression, each small twitch of her body that prepared to fight. And something flared to life in your chest.
You were angry that Fortuna was about to hurt her. Logan's daughter was ready to put her life on the line to rescue someone she'd never met before.
A missing detail which didn't appear to matter to her. Logan loved you. That was certainly enough for her.
Fortuna gaped at her—astounded by the familiar details and hints that Laura was indeed telling the truth. Not only had Logan Howlett died in this world, but he left behind a legacy that would live on for him. He saved the only important thing in his life so she could one day do the same for the version of her father who would stay.
"He's here isn't he?" she asked calmer than you expected. The whip snapped to the ground. You flinched at the sound. A fact that Laura clocked within seconds—her head tilted in your direction.
Though you couldn't see her eyes behind the pink sunglasses, you knew that fury burned in them as they would her father's.
"He sends his regards." Laura's fingers curled into fists.
"A child," she spit. "He sent a child to do his bidding?"
She shrugged, lips curling into a false grin. "Don't worry. I'm more than capable of killing you."
You felt pride flicker in your heart as Logan's cocksureness bled through her words. Where Laura went, Logan wasn't too far behind. You pulled at the restraints, the burn of ropes dragging along open wounds, but you refused to let Laura do this on her own. It seemed that the both of you had turned to the same page—her head nodding in your direction subtly.
"Well." Fortuna stepped forward, sapphire pouring off her body. "I suppose Logan's legacy won't last long in this universe."
Laura charged forward with a scream, claws slicing at Fortuna's middle only for the whip to wrap itself around her arm. With a shout, Fortuna flung her to the side—watching with an unhinged smile as Laura hit the wall hard enough to make you wince. You tugged at the rope—a hoarse cry ripping from your throat when a boot slammed into the legs of the chair.
"Don't tell me you're ready to leave," she shouted. "We were bonding."
"Fuck you," you snapped.
"Ouch." Her hand gripped your chin, lifting you to meet her expressionless eyes. "Is that the best you can do, human?"
"No," you gasped, hand scrambling for the knife at her thigh. "This is."
It embedded in her arm, slicing open skin as she shouted in rage, stumbling back into Laura's vicinity. Claws ripped through the back of her leg, cutting open her calf, as a familiar dark head of hair slid past her, crouching in front of your chair with a roar.
"You bitch!" Fortuna tossed the blade to the side, her hand forming around the open wound.
It clattered against the floor seconds before the door burst open—a man in red bursting through and flinging yet another baby knife towards Fortuna's healing body. She ducked, whip coiling like a snake in the air, slamming down with a crack. Wade shrieked, flipping to the side and ducking behind the broken couch as the familiar click of a bullet falling into the chamber resonated in the air.
"I'd say I'll put my hands up but you'd probably tie them together huh. You kinky minx!"
You winced through the grin, Laura's eyes tracked Fortuna's movements like a predator waiting when to strike. Whatever the plan was, Logan was sure to make sure someone was on you at all times. If only to get you out of the house and into the forest safely. From there it was quick to disappear.
Wade seemed to be the distraction in this case. Fitting.
His head peeked over the couch—the whip slicing over him with a sound that pierced through you. "You die tonight Deadpool."
"You don't want me. You want my buddy right outside this house." He stood, finger pulling the trigger quicker than you expected. Only for a silver and blue whip to slice through it—the fragmented pieces of a smoking bullet hitting the floor and rolling away.
"Surrender you walking condom."
"Pump the hate brakes Wanda Maximoff." Another bullet slid into place. "Peanut junior? Would you like to take it away?"
Launching herself into the air, Laura toppled Fortuna to the side with a scream, her claws slashing to get her pound of flesh. Wade laughed, striding towards you—boot effortlessly kicking his knife up and into his hand. You’d never wanted to hug the man more.
He winced at the sight of your puffy face; your right eye was nearly swollen shut from where Fortuna decided to land her hits. A pastime she seemed to enjoy, simply to hear you scream.
You wondered if you took off the mask, would you see Wade's face bleeding with rage. Or did he too wear an expression of pity.
"Logan's gonna kill her," he muttered, crouching in front of you and sliding the knife through the ropes with ease. "I've got ya sweet angel."
"W-Where is he?" You staggered to your feet, Wade's arm wrapped tightly around your waist to keep you upright. "He can't be here. She'll kill him Wade."
He clicked his tongue, leading you to the front steps, past where Laura was busy twisting Fortuna's whip around her own neck. "He knows what's at risk, angel. Believe me. I offered to be the noble sacrifice but I played that card when it came to saving this universe and there's no take backs."
"He's gonna die," you rasped, your knees buckling as he got you over the last step. "H-He can't die."
Wade gripped your arms, settling you to the ground with a grunt. "You forget who you're fucking sweet angel. He's the Wolverine."
"But she's-"
"A toxic ex who can't seem to take no for an answer. We've all got one of those."
You huffed. "She's more than an ex."
"I know." Pulling the gun free from his thigh, he made sure you were safe before stepping back to the front stoop. "But that doesn't mean this isn't a daytime soap opera." He turned to the treeline with a sigh. "You coming, your majesty or should I roll out the red carpet?"
A glimpse of the man in question stopped your heart, the breath catching in your throat, as Logan finally stepped forth. His suit was sewn with pieces of black leather (no doubt from Wade's leftover stash), a yellow X stretched across his chest now became the sole focus. Yet that isn’t what filled your body with warmth.
This time he wore the suit with pride. A glint of determination was in his eyes that once never used to exist. He stepped forward the X-Man this world needed; ready and willing to take on the legacy of a man he once loathed. You felt your heart twist violently at the sight—love pouring into your chest faster than you could stop it.
"Honey," he breathed, rushing over—hesitation and a storm of outrage clashing together in his hazel eyes.
"I'm okay."
He huffed through his nose, hands gathering you gently in his arms. "Don't bullshit me honey."
Wade's cough was exaggerated, his hands gesturing to the doorway. Laura's shouts and the crashing of furniture being demolished spilled through the broken windows—her rage matching her father's right down to the familiar lilt of her roar. She was a fighter. Just like the man who held you as if you were glass. Your pain, now a reflection in his eyes as he took in what Fortuna did to you.
"You can't kill her. She’s too powerful," you stated.
“You’re safe.” He didn’t seem to comprehend your words. Opting to press you close enough to feel his body heat sink into your frigid form. “That’s all that matters.”
Wade ducked down, pressing his face close to Logan's. "Yeah. I don't mean to interrupt your romantic hero kiss the girl moment. But what the fuck are we gonna do?"
"She can't keep going like this," Logan replied. "Eventually she's gonna have to tap out."
"Of course! Makes perfect sense. Mind elaborating for the audience honey badger?"
Logan sighed, his hand cupping your face with a pained noise in the back of his throat. "Her energy will run out. Same as Charles and...Jean. They couldn't keep up the fight forever."
"Okay but the whole freezing time business." He glanced to the side, shoulders lifting in a perfunctory shrug. "I know right, we really could have explained this earlier."
"Mutants are aware." Logan rose to his feet, leaving you to sit on the ground, your hand outstretched to keep him here. "We have to struggle but we can break free if she's weak enough."
"Wow." Wade sagged, a muffled groan coming through the mask. "That's just lazy writing."
You gripped Logan's hand, forcing him to step closer. "You're not going in there."
"Honey-"
"No." Gripping the stair railing, you struggled to your feet—eyes blazing with a headstrong fighting spirit Logan loved you for. "She'll kill you Logan. I can't lose you. I-I won’t."
His breath was heavy, hand curling around the back of your neck to press his forehead to yours. "You're not gonna lose me alright? Not today."
"Logan-"
Wade gripped your arm, drawing your gaze to him. "Don't worry sweet angel. He's got a bodyguard." You leveled him with a glare that would have sent him six feet under if his mutant power wasn't regeneration. "Have I ever mentioned that your eyes are the perfect shade of rage and violence. It's like a beautiful fucked lava lamp from the eighties."
You weren't sure if he was paying you a compliment or trying to lighten the mood. Logan sighed against your cheek, disappointment practically bleeding through his words.
"Seventies Wade."
"He would know. He's from 753 B.D." He turned. "Before Deadpool."
"A.D.," you spit, fighting the hint of a grin that threatened to bloom across your face.
"Not in this universe."
A shout tore through the small sliver of peace as Laura was thrown from the house, landing in a bloodied heap on the grass. Mere seconds passed before she was flipping to her feet again, claws extended and glasses forgotten about in the dirt. You wondered if the surge of warmth in your chest was pride or something else entirely.
Perhaps one day you'd get the chance to figure it out.
"Time to go do what heroes do," Wade said, nudging Logan as Fortuna floated through the open doorway, landing mere feet away from where you stood.
"Wolverine," she crooned, her boots a steady thump against the wooden porch. "Come to rescue the human I see."
Logan gripped your waist, moving you away from the house with quick steps. You clawed at his back to get him to stop. To keep him from leaving you behind. But Laura's hands on your shoulders forced you to remain calm—to remain on the edge of the property and watch as the man your heart screamed for walked away.
"Logan!" you shouted, fighting against the girl's hold, but the wasted energy was all for naught. There was no breaking away from a determined Wolverine.
He rejoined Wade with a darkened grimace. His claws ripping through the flesh of his knuckles as Wade pulled free the katanas strapped to his back. Your voice shouting his name set his entire body on edge; the urge to go to you, comfort the panic that filled your veins, nearly breaking his spirit.
But this was not your war and Logan would go down fighting before he let another person he loved fall into the hands of death.
"Alright," Wade grunted, cracking his neck. "Maximum effort."
Fortuna's whip snapped in the air, slicing a gaping hole in time as Logan and Wade charged. She leapt forward, boot pushing off the railing and toppling into them with a shout—a stolen knife carving into Logan's shoulder. He shoved her off, claws swiping for her neck, teeth bared in a snarl.
She ducked, foot slamming into Wade's stomach, rupturing the surrounding area with a blast that sent Logan sliding back into the dirt. He grunted, claws burying into the soil as Wade reached for his guns. A single katana forgotten on the ground.
"Pathetic," she sneered.
"Look who's talking McFly." Wade fired off three rounds, watching her roll to avoid the bullets, her hands crushing the dead grass beneath her.
She pointed to Wade. "You're first."
He laughed. "Bring it on you witch bitch."
Fortuna scoffed, glancing at Logan. "Does he ever shut the fuck up."
"Ha! Good luck with that. I can go on forever."
The whip unraveled from her wrist, rapidly slicing towards Wade—wrapping around his arm in a dramatic rendition of what already happened. This time he was prepared. Sprinting towards Logan, he rolled to the side as claws dragged down your arm. Opening a wound in her arm; blood pouring down her skin, dripping onto the grass.
“Fuck!” she snapped, knife lodging into Wade’s back as she leapt towards Logan.
His knee met her stomach, slamming her a few feet back until she landed on the ground. A groan reverberating in her chest.
Time flickered, punching them in the chest as they fought to move. Air rushed to his lungs as she stumbled to her feet—time falling back into place. Wade grabbed the second gun strapped to his thigh with a huff. The shot went off, the bullet finding its mark in Fortuna's wounded arm.
She screamed, falling to one knee—waves of blue pouring into the ground, forming a bubble of safety. She plucked at the fabrics of the universe, pulling them towards her as Wade pulled the trigger until the mag was empty. A pile of bullets by her body now trapped in light.
"Fuck!" Wade tossed his gun to the side.
Logan turned to see Laura holding you back, your face stricken in fear as you watched them battle it out. It was a struggle to have you here. To keep himself sane. He longed for you to be you close. What he wouldn’t give to take you away from all of this carnage. But you weren't safe as long as Fortuna was around.
She would always be a step behind, ready to chase him to the ends of this universe simply to watch him burn. He knew what he had to do. But the cost of making that choice weighed heavy on his chest—choking the very breath from his lungs. Wade could see it clear as day even as Fortuna began to build enough strength to keep herself going—to pull one final move.
With a shout, she swung her arms out, forcing enough energy their way to fling them into the air. Logan watched as spots began to form on his skin—time ripping away the very makeup of his DNA as she swung her whip in the air. It latched to his waist, dragging him forward until he was on his knees—body struggling to heal from something so unknown.
"Is she worth it?" she sneered, fingers curling into his hair to maneuver his head to keep his eyes on you. The struggle you put up to free yourself from Laura's grasp. "I'm going to kill her next Logan."
"No." He pushed against the vice of your whip, eyes latching onto the white streak hidden in your hair. A sign of what Fortuna had already started.
"I'll age her day by day, year by year, until she's dust."
"NO!"
She laughed, her lips brushing his cheek. "And you? You will have to live without her."
Tears stung his eyes when you finally managed to slip through Laura's hold, legs trembling as you forced your body to sprint his way. The sight of Logan's hair graying, wrinkles carving across his skin, brought you to the edge of your sanity. It ripped at your chest until blood poured from your heart. Staining the ground beneath you.
You couldn't lose him; you didn't know how to breathe without him. And you refused to watch him die from the sins of his past; actions he did not commit.
"Wait!" Laura shouted, running after you as Wade staggered to his feet.
"Angel!"
There was no thought process to your actions, no sense why you did what you did. All you could think about—all that filled your heart with dread—was the knowledge that Logan wouldn't survive this. He wouldn't be there to love you, give you the future you desperately ached for. He would never know you loved him.
That alone drove you forward with a pained cry.
Flinging yourself onto Fortuna, you sent the both of you flying a few feet away as Wade and Laura ran to rip her off you. But time stopped. Every sound stilled, and they were forced to stand and watch as Fortuna straddled your waist—her hands reaching for your throat.
"What do you have huh?" she snarled. "What the fuck do you have that I don't?"
"Please!" You punched her wherever you could reach, desperate to get her off of you. "He-"
"He what?"
"He wouldn't want you to do this Fortuna."
She laughed, manic enough to chill your heart with fear. "Who Logan? You think I fucking care? I would kill him in a-"
"CHARLES!" She froze, eyes flashing sapphire as her grip loosened. Giving you a chance to suck in air. "H-He loved you. Logan told me."
"Charles," she mumbled—a glimpse of your shared original color of her eyes coming through the expanse of white. "He's..."
"Dead." You gasped, turning to see three people you'd die for struggling against time—their bodies battling the power of someone far too corrupt. Someone who forgot where they came from; who their home was. "Your family...my family...they wouldn't want you to become this. P-Please. Charles, Jean, Storm. They didn’t want this for you."
She turned, gaze softening. "You would die for them."
Hot tears burned your frigid skin—falling down your temples and into your hair. "I would."
Stuttering out a breath, she fixed you with a gaze of someone you might have recognized in the mirror. A woman so broken by what time did to her. What the humans caused all because of her DNA. You wanted to promise that life might have turned out different if Logan stayed; that she would be safe. But even you knew it would be a lie.
There would be no saving her from the one thing that created her.
Time.
Leaning down, she pressed her forehead to yours—defeat curving around her shoulders, weighing heavy against her heart.
"Tell him I'm sorry," she murmured.
Pain detonated under your skin before you could open your mouth to respond, forcing your body to convulse in her tight grip. Scarred hands pressed tightly to your face, pinning you to the ground as her whip latched around your chest. Logan's roar became a distant buzzing sound that surrounded you as blue washed over your twisted bodies.
Her brows furrowed, eyes bleeding white as her iris began to form once more—the long lost color that matched your own gaze.
A mirror you wanted to shatter. Damn the bad luck that might befall you; this remained too agonizing to endure.
Her lips pressed to your ear, the pain ebbing from your veins with each pulsing wave. You clawed at her wrists, nails slicing through calloused skin as a scream erupted from the depths of your chest. Piercing the air and slamming directly into three chests.
People who were ripping at the ground to get to you—pulling their bodies across dirt as the curse of time began to lift from the air.
"Do better than me," she whispered, the hot drip of her tears mixing with your own.
Someone yanked her off of you, hurling her to the side with a familiar rumbled growl. You gasped for air, dragging your half limp body away from where Logan stood over her—claws a silver shine emanating with a promise.
"No!" Laura and Wade's hands clamped on your shoulders—keeping you at a safe enough distance. This time refusing to give you any leniency in your movements.
Logan lowered himself to one knee, chest heaving with stunted breaths as Fortuna lay before him—eyes wide with fear. He knew you were behind him. He could feel the burn of your gaze. But all the pain Fortuna caused began to splinter at what little mercy he might have held onto. Yet still the familiar fist of grief wrapped around his heart, reminding him of who Fortuna was.
The woman he once loved.
The woman he couldn't save.
"P-Please," she sighed, hand gripping onto his wrist, tugging his claws against her chest. "Before I hurt you Logan. Before I hurt her."
"I-" He squeezed his eyes shut to the sight of a you so broken—so defeated. "I'm sorry."
She grinned, eyes clear for the first time—weightless after such suffering. "It’s okay. I-I’ll get to see them again. Charles. Jean. Storm."
A sob wracked his body as he dragged her into his lap, hand cupping her face with the tenderness she deserved. "Tell them I'm sorry. Tell them..."
"I will," she murmured, allowing him the freedom to break the final vow of their love. "Till death huh baby?"
Your shouts of his name echoed in the background—Wade's voice mixing with Laura's—and suddenly Logan understood why he found himself here. Why he would stay.
They weren't just his family. They were pieces of his heart sliced open and bared to the ravages of the world. And he would be their protector. The one to meet what danger threatened them head on; willing to fight till his last breath.
He'd be the person he could never be for her.
"Of course," he sighed, tears streaking down his cheeks. "Till death."
"Love her," she breathed, cupping his cheek and forcing his claws to pierce her chest. He sliced through her with a choked shout, the warmth of her blood spilling over his hands. Tainting him further; breaking his already tormented heart. "Love her how you couldn't love me Logan."
"I will honey." Her eyes dragged to how you lay on the ground, Wade's body practically covering yours to keep you from getting any closer. "I promise."
Light flickered in her vision—white and blue and perfect—as Logan clutched her close. Sobbing over a woman he would forever hold the memory of. The last of his family that he couldn't save. Her lips curled into a smile—serenity glistening in her eyes—as a familiar voice echoed in her mind. Tugging her close into welcoming arms.
"Hello Fortuna."
She stuttered out what little breath remained in her chest, a tear slipping down her cheek. "Charles."
Tumblr media
"I like it," a voice mumbled, breaking through the darkness that shrouded your body. "And not just cause Ness has one."
A girl hummed. "It's cool."
"Very superhero."
You groaned, body battling any slight movement as your eyes fluttered open with a wince. Light streamed through a grand window, the bed too soft to be yours, yet you knew who sat beside you. Even through the blurred haze of vision, Wade's face was unmistakable. Shifting, you felt everything in you lock up—a hoarse cry falling past your lips.
Hands pushed you back down, steadying you gently as you were finally able to see the other person sitting on a table, munching on some fries. She had a shake beside her—feet propped up on the back of Wade's chair. The sunglasses she lost in the dirt were back atop her head, keeping her hair back.
"Whoa there angel face." He fluffed the pillow violently, jolting you slightly. "You've got two broken ribs and a wound across your torso that would give me being ripped in half by Juggernaut a run for my money."
"W-Where's-"
"Shhh." He raised a crystal glass of water to your lips. "Nurse Wade is here to take care of you. Sorry I don't have the outfit. I couldn't get to a Spirit Halloween in time."
Laura snorted into her food. "It's July."
"That doesn't matter. Those stores are like herpes. You can't ever get rid of that fucker."
"Where's Logan," you said through a broken whisper.
The silence isn't what scared you. No, you'd been through too much to be scared by the threat of nothing but melancholy looks in favor of telling you the truth. You could handle the quiet. What sent terror into your heart was the fact that you knew before you even opened your eyes where he was. His warmth was nowhere to be found in this bedroom; it barely lingered on your own body.
The man who held your heart, who promised to always protect you, was gone.
"No," you breathed, tears welling up and once again blurring your vision.
"He didn't want to go," Laura interjected.
You blinked furiously to keep them at bay. "What do you mean?"
"Fortuna." She pointed to the window that overlooked an expanse of green.
With a pained gasp, you turned to see what she was directing you towards—eyes fixing on a clearly buried grave covered in fresh dirt. A shovel stood straight, plunged a foot into the ground—the handle covered in a stain of deep brown.
Laura exhaled heavily. "She's dead. Logan buried her after he...killed her."
The breath rushed from your lungs, anguish slicing through your heart. "He..."
Wade nodded, somber and horrifyingly quiet. "He wanted to stay sweet angel. We forced him to go."
"Why?" you exclaimed, your body trembling under the stress of waking up too soon. "If he wanted to stay-"
"He was broken. I thought when I found him it was bad. This was worse angel face." Wade gathered your hands in his, drawing you close with a sigh. "He needs to grieve her."
"But I love him," you whimpered, unashamed by how fast the tears were falling. Laura watched you with the eyes of her father—striking your heart in a way that split you in two. "I-I didn't get to tell him."
"He knew," she murmured softly. "Trust me."
Wade pressed a swift kiss to your hands. "He'll come home. I made him fucking promise to return to you. But right now he's gotta figure some shit out."
Laura slipped off the table, curled onto the end of the bed and handed you something folded and crumpled—streaked in stains of blood and ink that bled through the thin notebook paper. You took it with a shaky breath, cold hands closing around hers with a grim smile. Something to let her know that you were thankful for everything she did.
She wasn't your daughter. This you knew. But you wouldn't mind if she bestowed that title on you one day.
In fact...you hoped she would.
"He told me to give that to you," she said, eyes brighter than before.
You sucked in a painful breath, unfolding the letter with trembling hands. Seeing his handwriting was like a punch to your chest. The smudged words and crossed out lines as he attempted to explain himself in words for the first time. This wasn't his forte—you understood that—but the fact that he tried filled your chest with warmth.
Honey,
Don't hate Wade or even my kid for me not being there. Believe me I fuckin' wanted to. Almost ripped him to pieces when he told me I had to go for your sake. But they were right. You Fortuna was the only family I had left. I have to remember what loving her felt like. I need to let her go.
Wade and Laura are there to protect you, care for you like I can't right now. But I made a promise to you and her. So you can expect me back one day.
I care about you
I love you.
So much.
I'll love you till the end honey. Don't forget that.
-Logan
You clutched the paper to your chest, salt coating your taste buds as you sobbed for the man that you failed to protect. You would have died for him. He knew this. Perhaps that's why he left; to give you a chance to heal without him. To return as the Logan you met, not the one mangled by grief.
Laura moved closer, her hand shifting to clutch yours as tears glistened in her eyes. A solemn smile on her face. This is what Logan offered you. People who loved you; people who would die for you. Logan made sure that even in his absence you'd be safe—protected.
He gave you the one thing he couldn't keep for himself. The one aspect of his life he had to learn to accept.
Logan left you a family.
note: my brain is mush but i love you guys. it will get better i promise!

God, breaking my addiction to junk food has been so hard for me to do~
For the past little while, I've been "trying" to lose weight before I start HRT ♡. But I literally can't go a day without having some kind of fast food, or snack...
Like, for the past 3 days, I've been having leftover pizza for dinner/lunch. Last night, I had an entire bag of popcorn to myself, and today, I picked up a French vanilla & donut from Tim Horton's.
I should be eating healthy, but I can't get my silly little brain to say no~♡
I'm honestly so close to fully relapsing, and just giving in at this point~!
I mean- I'm probably just gonna gain it all(and more) back anyways, so why not just go all in?
There's honestly no coming back from this~ Just one little push, and my brain would be completely ruined~
At this point, I'm just destined to be a fat hog, so why not just start accepting my purpose ♡♡♡

Tumblr media
Piles of paperwork laid before him. His eyes scrutinized every paper, dreading the sight of the amount of work he'd have to do. What was he doing here anyway? Right. He was called in for some extra work because the amount of stuff that the employees under him had to do was overwhelming.
Piles and piles of paperwork. "Over what?" his colleague would ask him and he would roll his eyes.
"Some dumbass woman who can't stop falling in love and getting heartbroken over every goddamn man," he would complain.
For Minho, being the God of Love wasn't all arrows and rainbows. Oh look, a girl crushing on a guy. Let's shoot an arrow to his chest so he could fall in love with her too! No. He wasn't highschool cupid. It wasn't as easy as that, unlike what most people would actually think. If he was going to be honest, there wasn't much field work to begin with. The only field work he'd do is to sit on his chair, observing people as they fall in love with each other, only to deal with multiple paperwork as soon as couples start falling out and breaking up with each other. He hated how people treated love as if it was something so dispensable. Like a one-time thing. Well, mostly because it gave him so much work to deal with.
And you, on the other hand, was one of those types that he hated the most: a hopeless romantic. He never really believed in hoping for love despite being the God of Love himself. Stop falling in love multiple times in a year. He always wanted to drill that into your brain each time he'd come down from HQ to observe you and your stupid attempts at pursuing whoever you were onto at the moment. He would lie if he said he never cringed everytime you'd blush at the smallest things. He was annoyed at how you always fell so hard over the bare minimum.
He types away angrily at his keyboard, cursing under his breath. "12th time this fucking year. I swear, if that shithead falls in love with the wrong guy again, I'm gonna shoot myself."
His fingers stop typing, eyes staring into the screen as his eyebrows rest on a permanent scowl on his face. He stared at your image through the documents, analyzing every feature on your face. He wouldn't deny the fact that you were attractive in a way, which made him wonder for a moment why you'd always fail at your attempts on finding love.
Minho sighs, his fingers pinching the bridge of his nose before he stands up from his seat. "Better pay her a short visit. I need some amusement after all that headache she's been giving me," he mutters to himself.
...
Minho sat there, eyebrows raised. You weren't the type to wear revealing dresses and yet here you were, a scissor away from being practically naked. Okay, maybe he was exaggerating since you only opted to expose your shoulders but you never really showed much skin before. Each time Minho would drop by secretly to observe you during your dates to see if they'd finally succeed, you were either wearing cute floral dresses, or anything that was wholesome. But then again, he had to remind himself where he had to go just to check on you.
A nightclub.
In all honesty, some shoulderless blouse was just the tip of the iceberg compared to how the others dressed. Some were practically naked but Minho didn't pay much attention to them. His eyes were focused on eyeing you at the other side of the room, through grinding bodies.
Though, his gaze on your faltered as soon as a woman sat beside him, brushing her arm on his that was rested on top of the counter. "Hey there, pretty boy," the woman winked at him.
Minho wanted to puke then and there and his expression said it all. He eyed the woman from head to toe, immediately disgusted at her mere presence. He brought his eyes back to you but as soon as he did so, he saw you swaying by the dancefloor with some guy.
Now, Minho wasn't the type to be fazed by such a sight, but the way the man roamed his hands around your torso and attempted to grind his hips towards yours slightly annoyed Minho. Especially with how your face would contort and twitch in discomfort. You were trying your best to hide it and make light of the situation but Minho knew better than to not notice.
He stood up from his seat, tossing all reasoning aside and decided to pull you out of whatever shit you had gotten yourself into just so you could get yourself a lover. "To hell with that," he thought. You were looking for love at the wrong place. The worst place, in fact.
As soon as he arrived at your spot, he grabbed your wrist, earning a surprised yelp from you. He didn't look at you but at the man who was already 5 seconds away from zipping off his pants. Minho was glaring. "Keep your hands and your dick to yourself, yeah?" he tells off the man, earning himself a drunk response but all noise had been shut out and the fucks he could give was thrown out the window the moment he turned to you. "What were you trying to get yourself into, you idiot?"
Minho forgot that he was the only one who knew you like the back of his hand at this point. He was basically a stranger to you. But as he looked into your eyes, you lost yourself in them. His voice came out as muffled due to the trance you were in from the alcohol you just had earlier. And Minho noticed this so he snapped into your face but to no avail.
He dragged you out of the club and you could swear the door that was supposed to lead outside the streets led to somewhere else when Minho opened it but you decided that it was your mind and the alcohol playing its tricks on you. Minho brought you to his office through the club's door—an ability that always proved to be handy. He made you sit on his couch, giving you a glass of water.
"Drink that. It'll help with the hangover," he says. He never had hangover before since human liquor never really had much of an effect for him and the other Gods but he saw how bad humans had it each time they'd have hangovers. "How many glasses did you have anyway," he mumbles under his breath, not particularly expecting you to hear or respond.
His hand bring itself up to your face as he holds a towel, wiping off your sweat. "You suck at taking care of yourself. You always put those idiots first before yourself, that's why you're always getting rejected," he mumbles again, an annoyed expression now on his face. However, his expression turns into confusion as soon as he sees you squint your eyes at him.
"You... look familiar," you say, a hiccup following your sentence as you try your best to dig your memories through your drunken stupor.
Minho shakes his head. "Don't be ridiculous. No one looks like me," he says but you suck air between your teeth.
"No, I swear I've seen you somewhere," you dazingly tapped on your temple before your eyes widen in realization and you point at him. "Oh, I remember now! I see you a lot of times whenever I..." you trail off your sentence. You gasp. "You're always around whenever I meet guys for dates! Are you perhaps, my stalker?"
This earned you a light slap on the forehead from Minho.
"You didn't have to hit my head!" you pouted at him.
"Stop pouting, you look ugly," he says as he removes your shoes. "I wasn't stalking you."
You squint your eyes again at him. Both at his answer and as to why he was removing your shoes. "Then what were you doing? And what are you doing?"
Minho glances up at you with a look of disbelief. "Removing your shoes, if that's not obvious enough," he turns back to removing your other shoe. "I thought you were dumb only with love. You're dumb with telling actions too."
You frown, "Why are you even removing my shoes?! Put them back on??"
"For the record, you are not Cinderella. And you'd rather I let you get blisters? Why did you even wear heels? You never wore heels," he whispers the last part. You blink.
"You are my stalker," you gasp, earning another glare from Minho.
As he finished removing your shoes, he plops himself back down beside you. "I was observing you," he says, answering your question.
"Yeah, you were stalking me," you butt in.
"Stalking is different from observing. Get your facts right," he argues back.
'This man,' you thought to yourself as you look at him in disbelief. Though despite his sarcastic remarks, you could feel as if you knew him for a long time already. Or maybe because you'd see him a lot everywhere. You always thought it was coincidence.
"Why were you observing me?" you ask him.
Minho sighs, rubbing his face with a hand as he looks at you, probably being annoyed at how much you were asking him. "Entertainment. Your idiocy amuses me," he sarcastically replies.
You were speechless.
First, this man ruins your date. Your chances of getting laid tonight. You didn't mind if it was drunk sex, as long as it was sex, that was how hopeless you were. Second, he denies being your stalker. Third, he was mocking your poor taste in men and bad luck in love. And lastly, he was telling you that you were basically a no go because you were an idiot.
"I can't believe this," you scoff under your breath. "You ruined my chances for... this."
Minho raises an eyebrow at you. "Chances at what."
You roll your eyes at him. "Getting laid."
Minho stares at you for a while before sighing. You were such a piece of work. On second thought, he'd rather deal with paperwork than your attitude. He shakes his head in hopelessness, eyes still at you.
"You were going to settle with drunk sex?" he asked with a tone of as-a-matter-of-fact. When you nodded, he chuckled in disbelief.
"Well, what do you want me to do then?" you snapped your head at him. "I always fail at romance. I try to establish wholesome relationships but they... They just fail. And this..." you pause. "It may not be the best option, but it's my only chance of actually getting a guy."
Minho was amused at how emotional you were getting. He could see the tears forming in your eyes as you explain. Sure, Minho was getting frustrated over this ordeal, but you were too and he just realized that. If he was getting annoyed over paperwork, then it meant people were hurting too. You were hurting too.
For some reason, Minho disliked that idea. For the longest time, he'd see the brightest smiles on your face each time you fell in love or experienced something akin to love. He thought it was only for work that he'd come down to observe you each time you go on dates. But in truth, he liked seeing you smile. He didn't know how or when it started. He just... liked to see your face brighten up.
Maybe he wasn't annoyed at you because you always fell in love and get broken and give him more paperwork. Maybe he was annoyed at the fact that people kept on hurting you. He was annoyed at the fact that guys always took advantage of your love. He was annoyed at the fact that you always gave it your all to guys who didn't deserve any of your love. He was annoyed at himself for seeing it otherwise.
Minho chuckles, more at himself than at you. "That's such a sad excuse to find love, it's pathetic."
You turned your head towards him, about to retort but you shut yourself up as soon as he brought his face close to yours. Your eyes widened. "What—"
"You're pathetic," he mumbles. "I can't believe you're going to settle with just that." Then, he closes the gap between you two. His lips touched yours momentarily, brushing like a feather before diving deep. For a second, it was as if your world stopped. You may have had failed attempts at love but that doesn't mean you never had kisses. Though, most of them were empty. In fact, you've had too many kisses to the point that you had to think to yourself if you'll only get kisses for the rest of your life.
But this. This was... You couldn't put the right words. No, that was the perfect word for it. Right. It felt so... right.
The kiss felt too short as soon as he pulled away, eyes staring into yours. You could swear you could see the whole universe in them. You barely talked to this man for more than an hour and yet you feel like you've known him forever.
Minho's eyes trail from your eyes to your lips. He has always seen you. How you look. How you dressed. How you spoke. But he has never seen you this close. And now that he has, it was as if he was looking at Zeus' finest piece of art. Your beauty held more charm than Aphrodite herself. Hell, you'd start more wars than Helen of Troy ever did with that pretty little face of yours.
He parts his lips, his warm breath adding fuel to the warmth that had now spread on your blushing face. "In all of my decades, observing your kind and mine," he pauses. "I have never met anyone as beautiful as you."
"I wonder which God sculpted you," he mutters under his breath, eyes bearing themselves into yours. "Those eyes. They're like Narcissus. I could get lost just by staring at them."
He placed another kiss on your lips, this time much softer than the last.
"Those men are fools," he says. "They could never see true beauty. Beauty that has so willingly presented itself before them."
It was as if he had fallen right then and there. The irony of being the God of Love was that he barely fell in love himself. But when he does, he falls deep. Turns into such poet. Just as how he was letting himself become vulnerable before you.
He takes your hand in his, lacing your fingers together, intertwining them like perfect pieces of a puzzle. You were entranced. You didn't know how or why. But the way his hand would graze on your skin felt like electricity. The good kind where the hair on your back would stand each time you'd feel warm air breeze through while you are cold. Like goosebumps.
You wondered if there was something in that water that he had given you earlier. Aphrodisiac? No. There was nothing in there. And yet you felt so entranced. So pulled in. So dazed. You had never felt this feeling before from your past lovers. Then again, were those even love? Or just infatuation? Was it the true definition of love, or was this the true definition of love? Maybe it was just the effect of having the God of Love himself being so close to you. But you were none the wiser of his identity as a God. And yet he pulled you in like gravity.
His lips placed a chaste kiss on your lips once more, gradually travelling towards your cheek, your jawline, and your neck. They were slow yet passionate. His hands ran up your arms, holding your shoulder as he carefully lays you on the couch so you'd feel comfortable.
Minho looks at you once more. "Will you let me show you what love is?" he asks with a quiet tone. You stare at him for a short while, with him still placing soft kisses on your neck as he waits for your response. Eventually, you nod.
He hums quietly in satisfaction. "Just follow my lead," he says.
You don't know what happened after that. You only remember his occasional glances. His chaste kisses on your skin. His hands caressing everywhere they could land on, memorizing your every curve. You only remember laying there, naked.
His gaze on you never faltered. His eyes memorized every feature, taking in every imperfection that you had. As a God, he was but used to seeing only the perfect complexions. But with your body, the imperfections were what made you more beautiful in his eyes.
Minho leans down towards you, brushing the back of his fingers on your cheek softly. He held you as if you were porcelain. No rough movements. No raspy caresses. "Stop looking for love," he muses. "Because love himself is presenting itself to you." He takes your hand, placing a kiss on your knuckles. "Love itself is yours to take."
You part your lips with a soft gasp. No one, not even one man has ever told you such words. No one, not even one man has ever seen you this naked. No one, not even one man has ever held you as much as this man did. And he was worshipping you with both his words, his kisses, and his touches.
His hand pulled you closer for another kiss before caressing down your body, eventually resting itself on your thigh. His thumb brushes on your skin before travelling towards your inner thigh. His finger lingers too close to your core. Not touching, but you could feel it. Minho smiles at your reaction, chuckling as he finally runs a digit through your folds.
You lightly gasp, biting your lower lip to immediately stop yourself from letting out a sound. He looks up at you, amused by your sensitivity. You couldn't blame him. After all, you were a virgin. Both by touch and by intercourse. He could immediately tell as he continued running his finger through your heat, dragging through every slick as a string of your love juice connects your nub and the tip of his finger with every slow stroke. He traces small circles around your clit, earning a shivery hum from you as you cover your mouth with the back of your hand.
You hated how slow he was teasing you. Minho, however, was loving every second of it. How red your cheeks were right now. How half-lidded your eyes were. How wet you already were with just a few kisses and a few strokes.
He leans towards your chest, taking out his tongue to gently brush on one of your nipples, making you twitch. "You're quite easy to please," he mutters as he flicks his tongue and sucks lightly on your nipple. "But then again... You are a virgin."
This made your eyes widen. You tilted your head to the side, covering your face with embarrassment. You hear Minho chuckle before he takes your wrists, removing your hands from your face. "Shhh, it's okay." he whispers in your ear. He places a quiet kiss on your ear lobe. He faces you again. "At least you didn't get to experience how horrible and selfish those men are when it comes to making love."
His smile falters. "No. They don't call it making love, do they?" his eyes trail down to your stomach, bringing himself down so he could place kisses and kitten licks on your skin. "I believe most of them like calling it casual sex."
"Bastards," he curses under his breath before lowering himself again, this time being face-to-face with your heat. You embarrassingly closed your legs, momentarily making him react as your thighs envelope his head. He looks up at you with an amused smirk. "Guess you're into that, huh?" he mumbles with a husky tone before finally leaning in.
You could swear you momentarily saw stars as soon as his warm, wet tongue ran through your folds. His breath would always exhale each time he would swirl his tongue around your clit, slurping occasionally from his makeshift chalice.
You were sweeter than ambrosia and nectar, and he couldn't have enough. You were a walking cardinal sin, ready to prey on a God, to tempt him to indulge in such temptation. And that God was him. Except that you weren't tempting him, but it was him who willingly walked into your trap without any provocation.
The God of Love, enchanted by a human being. By you.
As his sucks and licks increased their pace, so did your stiffled moans. "Don't keep your moans to yourself," he says. "I'd love some good music." He stuck his tongue inside of you, exploring every crevice of your walls as much as he could while his teeth would occasionally scrape lightly through your clit. When you finally moan out loud unintentionally, he smiles. "That's it. Let me hear your pretty voice."
Every second that he spent worshipping you with his tongue brought you closer to something. You were already way past from what you used to consider as climax from your self-ministrations but this was something else. Something higher. Something more pleasurable.
You subconsciously grabbed his head, pulling his head closer. Minho's eyes widen a bit, surprised at your action but complies anyway. He smirks, tongue lapping you up faster as his mouth starts making the most sinful sounds as he sucks you in his mouth. He holds both your legs, determined to make you see a taste of heaven just as much as how he was tasting his own version of heaven through you.
As he gives you a long, dragging suck with the swirling of his tongue on your clit, it finally brings you to the edge. Your eyes shut tight, mouth hung open, and back arched as you cry out in pleasure. Your legs shake as they attempt to wiggle out from his grasps but his hold was strong, keeping you in place as he continues to suck on you, giving you overstimulation as you ride your first high.
He eventually lets you recover as you pant, now hovering above you as he licks away the remaining juices off his lips as if it was syrup. His eyes observe you, loving how helpless you looked as you tried to catch your breath from just a single climax, and just with a simple oral too. Minho brushes off a stray hair off your face, tucking it behind your ear as he places a kiss on your forehead.
"Well?" he asks. "It's good, isn't it?" You were too out of it to even answer. No one could blame you, the first orgasm—whether it was oral or not—was always the most mind-blowing. Too mind-blowing it turned you speechless in a matter of minutes. "That guy you were dancing with wouldn't even give a single fuck whether you'd cum or not," he says. "He'd only want to put his sad excuse of a dick inside that pretty little mouth and call it a day."
Minho places a soft kiss on your lips. "Human men won't care for you as much as Love himself would," he pauses. "Because they do not know love. They only know Lust."
He gently opens your legs, zipping down his own pants in the process. "Let me make love to you," Minho says, caressing your thighs as he raises them. He places kisses on your legs. When you finally recover from your trance, you glance at him. He was now as naked as you were but you could swear you were laying your eyes upon a God. And you really were.
He was perfect regardless wherever you would lay your eyes upon. Especially his arms. God, his arms were like nothing you have ever seen and yet they held you with such care. He could flail you around like a ragdoll, just like what most men would do in those porn videos you'd watch each time you felt a little lonely. But no, he held you as if you were a priceless vase. He'd trace your body as if it was some rare artwork to revel on at a museum. He'd draw you in his head like you were one of his French girls. Except that he didn't have any of those. You were the only girl that made a significance within his eyes.
You finally gave in, tossing all reason aside. If this was going to be your final chance at love, you prayed. Then you might as well let it happen.
Your tongues danced within a kiss, intertwining with each other both emotionally and physically. He clung unto you and you clung unto him, bodies pressing into each other as your sweat would momentarily stick each time Minho would close the proximity between you two. His thrusts started as slow yet passionate strokes, your velvety walls hugging around him as you moan in between gaps of your sloppy kisses. His hand caresses your waist, resting by your hips as he grips them only to pull you back towards him so you'd meet his thrusts.
He wasn't ruthless. He wasn't in a rush. He wasn't destroying you. And just like he said, he wasn't just giving you sex. He was making love with you. His slow thrust eventually increase its pace, the tip of his cock now kissing your cervix at each thrust. The sinful sound of skins slapping fill the walls of his office, mixed in by both your moans. He would always place wet, open-mouthed kisses on your neck and latch his lips on your nipple, never having enough of you as he drives deeper and deeper into you.
If he could, he would bury himself into you. Get lost in pleasure with you. Stay inside you. If it meant showing you what love really was, he would do it. Every stroke sent waves of pleasure through your body and his as your moans encouraged him to go even deeper. He couldn't get enough of the way you looked at him. How your lips would mouth incoherent words as he continues to savor the feeling of being inside you.
Soon enough, the room was filled with nothing but heavy breathing and ragged gasps. You wrap your arms around Minho's neck, pulling him closer as you yourself get closer to your own climax once more. He could feel you slowly tightening around him, a smirk finding its way on his lips.
"Cumming again?" he whispers, quiet groans lacing his question in between as he starts to thrust into you at a faster pace. You nod absentmindedly, eyes shut tight as you arch your back once more. He raises your legs, gaining more access to thrust deeper. "Deeper," he mumbles. "A little more."
With each thrust, his cock reached deeper depths that you didn't know were reachable. It sent you on edge. With his one final thrust, he finally hits that button needed for you to snap, making you moan out loud. The way you suddenly clenched around him as he was buried deep inside you made him reach his own climax as well, painting your walls with his own release. "Cumming cumming cumming!" you mutter, hands gripping on his arms as his groans muffle themselves in your neck.
You both laid there, gasping for air in each other's arms, savoring each other's warmth before Minho finally raises his head from your neck and looks at you. His face held the most loving and softest expression. He was smiling at your dazed state.
He places a kiss on your forehead. On your nose. And on your lips before looking into your half-lidded eyes. "I'll be back soon," he says. He said something else after that but you were too exhausted to even remember as your eyes finally closed, sending you into a state of rest.
...
You awoke with a jolt as you shot up from your bed, eyes open wide as you pant. You glanced around, immediately recognizing your surroundings as your bedroom. You frown to yourself, glancing down beneath the blanket.
What the hell happened? you asked yourself. You weren't exactly sure. You remembered being in a bar to meet up with that tinder date you have been crushing on since last week but after that, you passed out—probably from alcohol and now here you were, confused.
You wondered how you got home in the first place.
And that dream, you sighed to yourself, feeling your core wet from whatever dream you had. You shook your head, a palm running through your face as you groan in frustration.
"I can't believe I was so desperate to the point I'd dream of making love with someone," you roll your eyes at yourself as you throw yourself back on the bed again. This time, hugging your pillow and your curiosity piqued at your dream. "Whoever that guy was in my dream was really attractive though," you mutter to yourself.
Unbeknownst to you, Minho observed you through the window of your room from far a way, chuckling. He observes your pretty features first before finally turning around.
He'll remain in your dreams for now. After all, that was how Greek Gods would visit their human love affairs—through dreams. Though this time, he'd visit your dreams frequently.
Maybe because he wants less paperwork from you. Maybe because he wants you to pine for him more than the men you'd meet.
Eitherway, he can't wait until he visits you the next time you close your eyes again.

azul ashengrotto x gn!reader [tags] – fluff, slight angst, miscommunication [wc} – 4,442 prompt 18: “Is this normal here?” “Only for the emotionally unavailable folk.” “Ah, so it is.” note - ending is a bit weak cause it got a bit long. anyways i love my octomer still firmly believe azul deserves to get bitches and eat good food a floral inconvenience
Lavender: while best known for its herbal properties, lavender can also symbolize devotion to a person. You should give lavender to a person you see as pure and virtuous.
You stared at the array of purple colored drinks, sweets, and other treats laid out on the table in front of you.
To your left, several plates of candied lavender, a slice of honey lavender cake, and a grape lavender sorbet begged for your attention. On your right, an iced lavender vanilla latte, lavender lemonade, and a lavender spritzer looked ideal to quench your thirst. In the middle, directly in front of you, was the latest dish you were asked to taste test.
A beautiful Swiss chard, candied beet and goat cheese salad tossed in a honey-lavender dressing made your mouth water as the Mostro Lounge manager himself sat at his desk, watching you on the two-seater couch.
“Well? Go on. I made them all myself.” Azul gestured to the salad with a smug smirk, clearly pleased at your excitement. “Time is of the essence, the spring menu is due to release next week.”
 “Oh! Yeah, right.”
You picked up a fork and pierced a beet and chard, generously covered in the dressing and goat cheese. Bringing the food up to your mouth, Azul raised his brows tentatively, watching as you opened wide, and just before you took a bite—
“Are you sure Jade didn’t put anything in this—”
“I promise, I made this all myself.”
“Okay.” You opened your mouth and raised your fork again…before bringing it down again.
“You sure—”
“Positive! Just. Eat. It.” Azul sighed exasperatedly. “I beg—and I don’t beg.”
“Okay! Okay, okay, okay.” You giggled, finally taking a bite of the salad.
A burst of sweet, woodsy and fresh flavor covered your tongue. Pleasant, succulent, and slightly sticky, you hummed in delight at the taste of the salad and dressing. You smiled at Azul, who rested his chin on his clasped hands. You couldn’t see his mouth from behind his hands, but you think he was smiling back at you.
“Azul! This tastes wonderful! Even better than the candies and tarts, oh my gosh!” You gushed as you took another bite of the salad, oblivious to the soft, periwinkle blush on the octomer’s cheeks.
“Try it with the lemonade, it pairs well.”
Nodding your head, you reached over to take a sip of the drink, a sprig of lavender embellishing the top. Humming again from the pleasant tang of the lemon and sweetness of the flower, you beamed at Azul.
“You’re so right! And with all the lavender as garnishes, it’s definitely screaming springtime!”
Whipping out your phone, you started to text, talking as you did. “It’s definitely gonna be a hit on Magicam, I bet I can get Cater to come and—”
“No! Uh,” Azul raised his voice, startling you, before clearing his throat and continuing, “you need to try the rest first!”
“Oh, for sure, but Cater can probably give you free advertising or something—”
In a small panic, seeing the chattery ginger’s profile and your thumb hovering over the DM button, Azul quickly rushed to you. He reached over to swipe the phone out of your hands while simultaneously shoving a spoonful of the grape lavender sorbet.
“Nonsense! I can handle my own advertising!” Azul chuckled nervously, “Now tell me, how does that one taste? Refreshing, yes?”
You choked on cold sweetness, a brief knock at the door drawing both of your attention as the door opened before you could respond.
Jade entered the Azul’s office, pausing at the scene before him. Azul hovering, practically on top, of you with a silver spoon shoved into your mouth. Jade blinked once before giving you both a small smile, tilting his head.
“I apologize, I didn’t mean to intrude on such a scene, I’ll come back later—”
“Don’t imply anything, Jade!” Azul briskly added some distance between you two, smoothing his ruffled suit.
You on the other hand, spoon now hanging freely from your mouth, gave Jade a wave and gave him a muffled, “Hi Jade, the sorbets good.”
Jade chuckled, covering his mouth with his hand.
“Is it? How wonderful, Azul’s been working particularly hard to make sure everything was to your liking—”
Azul cleared his throat, giving Jade a less than amused glare.
“What is it, Jade?” He sighed, adjusting his glasses. “You know I was to not be interrupted for the next hour.”
Jade bowed his head, still smiling as he apologized.
“Pardon my interruption, but it has actually been an hour and a half, and your next appointment is here.”
“What?” Azul looked at the wall clock with a confused expression, groaning as he saw the minute mark was indeed showing it was half past 3.
“Let my appointment know that I will be with them shortly, my dear?” Azul gave you an apologetic smile, bringing out a handkerchief from his vest and offering it to you.
“Here, I’m sorry to cut our time so abruptly. You still owe me your commentary on the free dishes, so make sure to leave your Saturday afternoon open.”
Rolling your eyes, you wiped your lips as you snarkily replied, “I owe you? Didn’t you ask me for my input on the dishes?”
“The free dishes, yes. Does 5 pm sound good?”
You hummed in affirmation, handing back the lilac fabric which Azul accepted. A sound of surprise left you as Azul dabbed the corner of your mouth, where a bit of the sorbet still remained.
The octomer wasn’t known for casual touches, rather he seemed adverse to them. It surprised you how easily those brush of hands and bodies leaning closer to each other came despite this. You suppose it just came naturally after months of study ‘dates’, shared lounge shifts, and late night talks.
Avoiding eye contact, Azul tenderly grabbed your hand and placed the handkerchief back in your hand. His hands clasped around your own, making your fingers grasp the fabric before pushing it to your chest.
“Keep it for now, it’s dirty anyways.” Azul muttered, snatching his hands back as if you’d burned him. “You can return it cleaned this weekend.”
Nodding your head, you chose to ignore the sudden shift in mood, though it hurt your chest. Instead, you gave Azul a warm smile as he turned his back to you as he cleaned.
“Mkay…I’ll see you later, Azul. Byeee~” You wagged your fingers to the still turned Azul, though you could see the tips of his ears turn light purple. Your eyes stayed on his form until Jade closed the door, in which you followed the teal-haired man out of the VIP halls to the rest of the lounge.
Following Jade through the corridors, you mused out loud, “I wonder if he knows…”
“Knows what, Prefect?”
You jumped slightly, startled as you remembered that you weren’t alone.’
“Fuck! I forgot you were here, you’re so quiet Jade, what the hell?”
Jade chuckled, looking down at you as he slowed his pace to walk side by side. “I apologize, but I was simply asking for clarification, who knows what?”
It took you a moment to process that you’d been speaking out loud, exclaiming, “Oh! Sorry I was just wondering if Azul knew that lavender’s my favorite flower. Yaknow, cause of all the lavender flavored stuff…”
You shrugged, aware of the mischievous glimmer in the golden eye studying your form.
“Probably not though, it’s a popular spring flavor. Not gonna complain about a coincidence though!”
Jade hummed, “Yes, a very pleasant coincidence.”
The rest of the walk was pleasant and relatively quiet as you filled the silence by humming a tune Azul had taught you for musicology. You arrived shortly to the lounge, waving at Floyd through the kitchen door window. Floyd waved enthusiastically back, ladle in hand.
Before you could walk off to the exit, Jade grabbed your shoulder, leaning down to ask, “Prefect, would you like to meet me in the library? My shift will end soon, and I’ll be studying for a botany exam. I’d enjoy the company.”
You shrugged and nodded. “Sure, Cater’s gonna meet me and drop off Grim there in a bit anyways.”
“Wonderful, I’ll see you shortly!” Jade waved you off, turning back to the host stand as you left the lounge to the Octavinelle entrance.
A pass through the mirror and a short walk, you soon found yourself at the entrance to the library. There you saw the familiar head of ginger cradling a sleeping Grim in his arms!
“Cater!” you whisper shouted, grinning and waving your hand excitedly.
“Hey babes!” Cater greeted you, giving you a soft smile and wink. “How’d the date go? Gimme all the deets!”
You scoffed, scratching between Grim’s ears as the little familiar sleepily mumbled, “Wasn’t a date, I was taste testing for Azul.”
“Uh-huh, just a private taste-testing between you and the Octavinelle housewarden?” Cater cooed, handing you Grim. “Then why’d you have me take Grimmy and get him all stuffed and tuckered out at the unbirthday party, hmm?”
“He said he made it specifically for me to taste! Grim would’ve eaten it all otherwise…” you pouted, squinting at Cater as he shrugged and gave you a cheeky grin.
“Whatever you say babe, but like, Azul is super infamously known to never give out gifts without expecting something in return.”
“He is getting something!” You huffed as the two of you entered into the library, following your upperclassman as he plucked books for your alchemy class and he for potion making.
“He’s getting my valuable input before announcing his spring menu!”
Cater gave you another wink before drawling, “Sureeeee, whatevs you say babe! Just don't be surprised by the wedding bells in the near future, I better be the man of honor!”
You two bickered for a bit longer, you more so than Cater, who was content teasing you. Once you both had grabbed the materials needed for class, you searched for a table to get settled before Grim eventually woke back up and begged to get dinner.
A familiar shade of teal caught your eye as you remembered Jade’s invitation to study.
“Ah! I forgot I was gonna meet Jade and study with him!” You waved at Cater, who followed suite, walking over to the eelmer. “Text me later, I’ll try and see if I can’t convince Azul to let you get exclusive pics of the spring menu!”
“Kayyyy, I’m sure you’ll convince your little boyfriend easily enough with a few smooches.” Adding insult to injury, Cater blew you a kiss. “Just pucker them up and boys will melt like putty, trust me I know!”
Rolling your eyes, you ignored your friend’s giggles in favor of greeting Jade with a quiet hello.
“Hey Jade, how’s the studying going?”
Yellow and olive eyes met your own as Jade smiled back, nodding his head politely. “Well. I finished my own work a while ago, so I’ve been browsing some journals on magical flora and diseases.”
Jade gestured to the array of books on the table. Sure enough, the books were labeled as magical pharmaceuticals and botany. You settled Grim on one of the spare chairs and placed your own books on a spare spot on the table. As Jade read a page on the medical benefits of a tentacle looking mushroom, you peered curiously at the other books.
You read the page of one of the books Jade had out, labeled ‘hanahaki’.
“What’s this?”
“Hmm? Oh.” Jade gave you a soft smile, though his eyes glimmered with mischief.
“That. I was simply researching it as a favor for a friend.”
“A favor? From you? Riiight.”
Jade pouted, giving you a sad look. “Why do you doubt my kind-hearted nature?” He continued giving you faux sniffles and wiping the corner of his eyes. When you first started hanging around him and his brother, it took you a while to figure out that Jade liked to tease your soft-hearted nature. He said it was to toughen you up for life in the cold, merciless waters under the sea that you’d eventually call home.
Whatever that means.
“Am I not allowed to simply do something out of the kindness of my heart?”
You stuck your tongue out before replying, “Are you doing this out of the ‘kindness’ of your heart, or cause you want something out of it?”
“Hmm, both?”
Jade winked as you stifled a giggle.
“Sure, both are good…who’s it for anyways?”
Jade held a finger up to his mouth. A secret that he was not privy to share. Despite you leaning in with an expectant look, Jade remained silent, giving you a closed eye smile. Shrugging you looked at the page the book was open to.
“Flower sickness?”
“Yes, a gift from the Flower Bride, it causes the afflicted’s romantic feelings to physically manifest into their beloved’s favorite flora. Typically through flu-like symptoms.”
You winced as you reached up to rub your throat. “Like, coughing up roses? Sounds like a pain.”
“It can be, most find it inconvenient, as it tends to trouble those that repress their feelings. Especially those that would rather deny or remain oblivious to them.”
“Is it normal here?”
Jade pursed his lips, looking as if he was in deep thought before responding, “Only for the emotionally unavailable sort.”
Snapping a finger at him you cheekily replied, “So it is then?”
The two of you shared a laugh before resuming your browsing, Jade now leaning over to read the article with you, thumbing the pages as you read out loud.
“Most recognized symptoms include coughing petals, flowers, and even bouquets in the occurrence of strong feelings. However, sneezing the previously mentioned symptoms is also common.”
“Ah, here.” Jade slid his finger along the paragraph below. “More severe cases can include the patient sprouting flora from their pores, ears, and hair follicles. How interesting.”
You clicked your tongue. “Sounds annoying, ooh wait! ‘Common Flora’!”
Listing off the flowers from the second page, you were blissfully unaware of the entertained expression on the twin’s face.
“Let’s see, roses, makes sense. Orchids, gardenias, oh! Even lavenderrrrrrr…“
I was just wondering if Azul knew that lavender’s my favorite flower.
Azul is super infamously known to never give out gifts without expecting something in return.
I made them all myself.
You drew out the last syllable, eyes hyper focused on the word printed before you as you processed your thoughts like a factory conveyor belt. Slowly turning your head to stare at the teal-haired man next to you, Jade simply kept his small, polite smile as he stared right back.
“...Jade?” You tilted your head.
“Prefect?” Jade did the same.
“Where’s Azul been getting all the lavender?”
“Oh, well,” Jade paused, sifting through the book in favor of letting you stew in suspense. “A few weeks ago he started keeping large bouquets of them all over his room and office, though the latter were used for the dishes he made you.”
“You mean the ones for the new menu?” Maybe you were misinterpreting the whole thing. Yeah, no Azul wouldn’t waste a bunch of lounge supplies on you. Lavender is a popular spring flavor, and your a good friend that’s willing to give him the time of day to test his dishes out. Of course, you’re just being silly—
“New menu? You must be mistaken, we aren’t releasing a new menu anytime soon.” Jade rested his head on his palm, now giving you a rare grin.
“He was quite stressed making the dishes to your liking, seeing as it’s quite a common octomer courting tact—oh!”
Jade covered his mouth in shock, feigning embarrassment as he continued, “I’m afraid I’ve said too much, you’ll keep that last bit between us, won’t you?”
“…You’re an ass, you know that?”
“I’m aware, what are you going to do about it? I just ask that you’re gentle with me.”
Everyone within a 1-mile radius could hear your exhausted sigh of annoyance.

The soft glow of the aquarium walls under the bookshelves brought about an ethereal glow to the VIP Room. A soft, soothing blue glow that did very little to actually sooth your nerves. It paired well with the lavender colored walls.
Speaking of lavender, a warm teapot of lavender Earl Grey was settled on the coffee table, along with containers of sugar and milk. To the right was a plate of iced lavender cookies, small purple buds garnishing the tops of the cookies.
“Cookies, huh? I thought you were more of a cooker than baker, Azul?”
Azul, who was writing down your feedback from the baked brie with lavender honey that you’d just had, hummed in response.
“Yes my dear, I had Trey working for me after the last Camp Vargas, though he was kind enough to leave me a few handwritten recipes in exchange for ending his week-long employment with me early.” Azul explained, looking rather satisfied with himself.
“I experimented with one of the recipes and was able to come up with the cookies before you.” His eyes met yours as he smirked and smugly asked, “They’re to your liking, yes? I made them with your sweet tooth in mind.”
There it was, Azul made these for you. Azul Ashengrotto, who didn’t give so easily without a cost, made them specifically for you in mind, though it seemed that that same train of thought didn’t process in his head. Based on his self-satisfied smirk, and the notes he was taking, Azul was happy that the apparent courting ritual was going well.
“Yeah! I like them a lot, they go well with the tea. Um—” You paused, taking a deep breath to calm your nerves before continuing with the plan you and Cater came up.
“Did you make the tea blend for me too? It tastes wonderful, I’d expect nothing less!”
Azul brightened, delighted at your attention and praise, and began to “subtly” brag, “Yes! Normally Jade makes the tea blends for the Lounge, but I personally selected this specific variety to pair well with the lavender.”
A fondness grew in your heart as you listened, not really processing though, to Azul describe the subtle differences between his tea blend and traditional ones.
“This specific blend would be most reminiscent of Early Grey Crème, which isn’t as widely known, but I thought would be better for you as it’s smoother.”
“Really?” You gasped, feigning innocence as you asked, “And you made it all yourself? You’re amazing, Azul!”
With a closed-eye smirk, Azul adjusted his glasses and nodded. “Yes, well with all my family’s experience in the food industry, it’s to be expected. But do continue to sing praises my dear, it’s much appreciated.”
You giggled, tilting your head as Azul resumed his note taking, it was no doubt he was recording your reactions and storing them for future use. The real question was whether to figure out the best way to bribe you with the promise of your favorite foods, or to ensure that his future beloved would have their own beloved treats when with him.
“It’s appreciate that you made this all for me in mind…which makes me think…Azul?”
“Yes?’
Azul was now focused on writing rather than on you. Taking another deep breath, you continued.
“Your cooking for me reminds me of a common saying back home…that a way to one’s heart is through their stomach.”
Azul froze, the soft scratching of his fishbone pen suddenly silenced, from the corner of your eye, you could see Azul’s eyes widen and face go blank.
“Is that something said here too?”
“It’s not a completely foreign phrase to me, so I’d say so.”
You hummed, plucking one of the iced cookies from the tray, sauntering over to the silver-haired man. Azul looked up at you, leaned back into his plush chair, lacing his fingers together as he waited for you to continue.
“I bet, with your mother owning a restaurant and everything…though it has me thinking…”
Azul raised a brow as you nibbled on the cookie, while you allowed him to stew in suspense for a few seconds.
“You’ve never actually cooked at the lounge, have you? Sure you’ve tested out some recipes, making sure they come out to your satisfaction…but it’s always someone else doing the cooking for the customers.”
Taking a seat on the edge of the desk, glowing baby blue eyes met your own, making you wonder if his name was a deliberate choice or a coincidence.
“Yes…” Azul answered slowly, hesitantly really, as he tried to figure out your angle. “I’m a very busy person, and I haven’t got all day-”
“And yet, you cooked for me.”
Azul shut his mouth at that, normally plush lips thinning as his fair cheeks softly turned periwinkle.
“Not only that, but you cooked for me using my favorite flower…tell me, my dear,” He audibly choked at the nickname, clenching and unclenching his hands into fists. “Just how did you know I love lavender?”
You leaned down, Azul’s eyes widening as the distance between you two becoming smaller. Sudden close contact grew a burning embarrassment in Azul, who leaned further into his chair until he no longer could. There was a visible panic in his eyes, which made you feel a bit bad for putting him in such a situation.
Azul cleared his throat, composing himself and saving face as he looked at you with a stony expression. “I…have my sources.”
That wasn’t good, you didn’t need the octomer shutting you out to avoid even the slightest humiliation at the hands of a crush.
“Sources? Like what? Sam? The botanical gardens?” You looked off to the side, noticing a vase with a few stems of lavender. “Like hanahaki?”
A screech accompanied Azul as he abruptly stood, pushing back the chair and stared at you with a frigid glare, lips thin and soft eyes now hardened.
“I don’t appreciate this joke of yours. If you want to our time together making fun of me, I suggest we end it here.”
Panic turned your blood ice cold as you tripped over your feet, now chasing Azul as he went for the door.
“W-what? No, that’s not what—”
“I think it’s best you leave now,” Azul dodged your attempts to grab him, refusing to make eye contact. “I’ll show you out.”
“Please, Azul, I wasn’t making fun!” A ball was forming in your throat, making your voice tremble and breath stutter.
As he turned the doorknob, door just cracking open, Azul turned to look at you only to falter as his face fell at the sight of the tears falling from your face.
“A-are you crying?!” He shut the door close as he rushed over, hovering his hands over your frame. “Why are you crying—”
“Cause I thought you liked me! Jade said—well he didn’t actually say, he heavily implied—that you had hanahakiiii…” You drawled out the last bit of your sentence as Azul’s face turned purple, looking horrified as you finished your sentence.
Azul stuttered out, “H-he implied w-what!? Damn that eel—ACK!” before heaving and gasping for breath. As he suddenly collapsed on his knees, you following suit in worry, Azul began making a choking sound.
Though you couldn’t see his face, you could see the clumps of wet buds fall out of his mouth, covered in inky spit, eventually an entire bunch of lavender heaving out of him as well.
“Auughhh…that—” Azul coughed again, looking up at you with a combination of ink and spit dripping from his mouth. “—was unbecoming of me, I’m sorry…wasn’t supposed to go like this.”
Reaching for your pocket, you took Azul’s handkerchief and gently grabbed his chin to look at you. Azul visibly relaxed as your wiped the mess from his lips, fingers moving to comb through his hair. Sighing as he slowly looped an arm around your waist, Azul ,.....
“I should’ve made Jade sign another NDA when I saw him snooping through my bedroom, should’ve known.”
You let out a breathless chuckle, leaning into his grasp. “Yeah, probably. If it helps I shouldn’t have listened to Cater’s dating advice.”
“You what?!” Azul exclaimed, looking at you dubiously, “You asked Cater for advice?”
“He seemed like he knew what he was talking about!” You defended yourself, pouting. “He noticed that you were cooking for me, when you never do for anyone else.”
He sighed, rolling his head back to look up at the ceiling instead of your face.
“As you said—which I’m assuming was one of the things Jade told you—preparing and providing food to our mates is a courting ritual for Cecaelians. I follow the same routine as my mother: create and test recipes, then pass along the instructions to my subordinates and ensure it’s top quality.”
Azul continued, holding your hand as he stood, guiding you up with him. “We octofolk were shunned out of merfolk society for a longtime, even with the legends of the Sea Witch’s benevolence.”
Reaching for one of the cookies still on the table, Azul brought it up to your mouth, tapping it to your lips.
“It shows that no matter our status, we can provide for the one we’ve devoted ourselves to.”
Bringing a thumb to your mouth, Azul softly pulled your lips apart to feed you. A fond, but embarrassed warmth flushed over you, a matching red blush on your cheeks to Azul’s periwinkle one.
“That’s…sweet.” You smiled, taking the cookie from Azul’s hand, much to his surprise. “And really corny, especially for you.”
Azul clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes as you took a bite of the cookie.
“I’m attempting to be genuine, and you’re calling me corny? How insulting!” Azul huffed, though he gave you a faint smile. “I hope you’re going to apologize.”
“Aww, poor Azul. Of course I can give you an apology, if you’ll accept it.”
He gave you a raised brow, confused but still smiling. “Of course, why wouldn’t I—”
A yelp escaped Azul’s lips as you pressed your own lips against his, smiling as you did. Azul sighed into your mouth, tasting the lavender and vanilla on your tongue while you smiled against his lips. His hands cradled your own, keeping you in place as Azul returned the affection with chaste kisses pressed all over your face, neck, and hands
“Wait—ah! Hehe~” You laughed as Azul’s kisses tickled you, weakly pushing him away as he moved to kiss the tops of your hands. “That tickles, stop!”
“Heh, come on now my dear.” Azul cooed, pulling you back in to wrap an arm around your waist, grabbing the cookie from your hands to feed it to you, which you accepted.
“Let me keep all your affection to me, and mine to you. I am quite a greedy lover, you know?”

“Have you guys ever been sued by Coffee-Mate?”
Yoongi looks up when he hears your voice at the counter. He nearly spills the matcha latte in his hand, not expecting to see you, ready to order. Usually, Yoongi sees you come in. He’s always ready for it, looking up as you enter the room like clockwork. The times that you catch him off guard are few and far between, his senses always alerting him to your presence before you do.
Today, though, he’s a little bit busy. With Hoseok out on vacation, it’s just Yoongi and Jungkook manning the shop and Jungkook is better behind the scenes baking than up front taking orders. It’s left to Yoongi to make all the coffees this morning, and of course, everyone in the world seems to be at Coffee Mates on an early Saturday.
“Uh,” he tries to put together a sentence, thoughts pulling together sluggishly at the sight of your pretty smile and vanilla perfume. He swears when he goes home to fall asleep at night, he smells vanilla. “Not that I’m aware of. I’d have to ask Jin.”
“Hmm, seems like a conflict of interest.”
Yoongi’s mouth quirks a bit as he fastens the top to the matcha in his hand and slides it on the serving counter to Namjoon. The gentry fae nods in thanks at Yoongi and shoots you a raised brow before looking back to Yoongi, a silent question. Yoongi gives the tiniest shake no before turning back to you as Namjoon sighs and retreats.
Namjoon has been trying to get Yoongi to ask you out on a date for the better half of a few months. Every day you come to Coffee Mates at the same time, with the same order. You always sit in the same booth, which Yoongi might have put a glamor on to keep it open for you, and you always pop open your book to read for hours, coffee in hand.
Yoongi supposes he could ask you out. You’re friendly enough and you seem to enjoy what few interactions you have. He’s caught you looking at him at least once or twice, though he worries it’s because his glamor has dropped in your presence or you’re seeing a waver in the magic that hides the nature of most of the shop.
Because unlike most patrons at Coffee Mates, you are blissfully unaware of all the magic that surrounds you.
At first, Yoongi thought it was a joke. Humans don’t just come to this coffee shop without knowing what it is. A bridge between worlds, a little haven for faerie suitors to offer their human counterparts an invitation to Faerie. Or for fae like Namjoon and Jimin, a place to hangout among other creatures of their kind.
Coffee Mates welcomes all fae creatures and their human counterparts, which is why you’re unusual. You have no faerie partner, no knowledge of magic. You don’t notice the floating lights in the shop or the pointed ears hidden behind Yoongi’s dark hair. A steaming cup of hot chocolate levitates just a few feet away from where you stand now as Taehyung draws on a napkin, and you’re none the wiser.
It makes little sense. But it doesn’t have to. The patrons and the workers of the cafe have accepted you all in some unspoken agreement. Watching you curiously, making eyes at Yoongi whenever you laugh particularly hard at something he says.
“Almond latte?” Yoongi asks, already typing in your order on the screen. You hum and nod, handing over cash. Yoongi goes through the motions of putting it in the register, but unknown to you, the money always appears in your wallet once more. He’s been pretending to accept it for weeks now, unable to bring himself to charge you. “Give me ten.”
“Hmm, I think I’ll only give you nine.”
He smiles. “Challenge accepted.”
You leave the counter and sit in your booth. Yoongi watches you from the corner of his eye as he makes your drink, hands memorizing every ingredient and heating it just the way you like it. Normally when Yoongi makes the drinks, he uses magic to help him. He gets much more done that way, but with yours, he always does it by hand. Takes his time to froth the cream for the design on top, always careful when he pours in the cream to make a leaf, or a heart, or something else cute on the top of your coffee.
Yoongi likes to personally bring it to your table. Every time that he does, you chide him and insist that you can come to the counter. He doesn’t mind, though. It gives him a moment to stretch his legs and escape the heavy hum of machinery and the buzzing energy of magic.
Today, you’re leaned against the window, an open book in your hands when he approaches. You sense him and look up, smiling and shaking your head as you snap the book shut. “Eight minutes exactly.”
He smirks. “When have I ever let you down?”
“You couldn’t possibly, Yoongi. You are singularly gifted in making my day.”
Yoongi gestures to your book to hide the fact that he’s blushing from the tip of his ears to his cheeks.  “What are you reading today?”
“It’s a romance book about soulmates.” That throws him for a loop. If you notice the way he blinks in surprise, you don’t show it. “It’s a really fun read. Do you believe in soulmates?”
He swears half the cafe turns to look at the two of you. Namjoon leans a little out of his booth, tilting his head to eavesdrop. Taehyung has dropped his pen and placed his chin in his hand, watching with a goofy grin on his face.
Of course the entire cafe full of sharp-hearing creatures is listening now, interested in your mention of soulmates. Yoongi clears his throat awkwardly, pulling on his apron. “I guess?”
“You guess?”
“I don’t see why not?”
“Hmm.” You look him up and down and for a second, he swears you see right through his glamor. See down into the core of him, heartbeat thumping a two-syllable rhythm: soulmate soulmate soulmate. “I hope to find mine one day.”
“I think you will.”
“Yeah?”
Yoongi feels his cheeks warm. Chews on his lower lip a little as he nods. “I definitely think you will.”
“Thanks, Yoongi.”
Everyone watches him return to the counter. He hides from their gazes by busying himself with wiping down one of the machines even though he could flick his fingers and be done with it. He needs the distraction to steady his hands and breathing.
Yoongi certainly believes in soulmates. The fact that you believe in soulmates sets him on fire. Ignites something in him that is nervous and excited. Something like hope, softley burning. For faeries, soulmates are quite common. It’s why Jin made the cafe in the first place, a haven for faeries to help bridge the world between the fae and their sometimes human mates.
When Yoongi looks up at you, rain splattering on the window, crowning your head, he thinks maybe he will take Namjoon’s advice, finally. Maybe he will ask you out on that date he’s been dreaming about. Because if you believe in soulmates, maybe you can believe in magic.
And maybe you can believe that the reason you’ve found this little invisible coffee shop is because your soulmate makes you almond lattes every morning.

Logan and I stood at Vanessa's door, a quiet tension between us as we waited. I could feel the anticipation buzzing in the air, both of us unsure of what the evening might bring. Logan, with his usual calm demeanor, glanced at me, his eyes giving nothing away, while I fiddled with the strap of my purse, trying to keep my own thoughts in check.
After a moment, the door swung open, revealing Vanessa with a bright, welcoming smile. "Hey, you two! Come on in," she greeted, stepping aside to let us in.
"Thanks," I replied, returning her smile as I stepped inside, followed closely by Logan. The warm, cozy atmosphere of Vanessa's apartment instantly made me feel at ease, the familiar scent of vanilla and the soft glow of the lamps creating a relaxing ambiance.
Vanessa closed the door behind us and turned to face us, her eyes twinkling with excitement. "I've got everything set up in the living room. Snacks, drinks, and of course, the games. Wade's already here, probably getting into trouble in the kitchen."
I exchanged a glance with Logan, who merely nodded, his expression unreadable as usual. But there was a hint of something in his eyes, something that made me think he wasn't as uninterested in tonight as he let on.
"Sounds perfect," I said, following Vanessa as she led us into the living room, where the night was about to unfold.
The game night was in full swing. The coffee table was covered with a variety of snacks—bowls of chips, popcorn, and candy—and a few bottles of beer and soda were chilling in a bucket of ice. In the center of the table sat a stack of board games, with classics like "Monopoly" and "Scrabble" mixed in with a few party games that promised more laughter than competition.
Wade was already there, lounging on the couch with a beer in hand. He grinned as soon as he saw us. "Well, look who finally decided to join the party! Took you long enough," he teased, taking a swig from his bottle.
"Had to make sure Logan didn't bail," I shot back with a smirk, nudging Logan playfully as we walked further into the room.
Logan rolled his eyes, but there was a slight curve to his lips that hinted at amusement. He was clearly trying to downplay his presence, but I could tell he was making an effort to be a part of the group, even if it was just for tonight.
Vanessa gestured to the couch. "Make yourselves comfortable. We'll start with something easy—maybe a little 'Pictionary' to get us warmed up?"
Wade perked up at the suggestion. "Pictionary? Oh, this is going to be good. I've got a talent for drawing inappropriate things," he said with a mischievous grin.
Logan sighed, shaking his head as he settled into one of the armchairs. "Just keep it PG, Wade," he muttered, though there was a hint of amusement in his tone.
Vanessa and I exchanged a knowing look before bursting into laughter. "We'll try to keep him in check," I promised Logan, though I knew full well that Wade was going to be his usual unpredictable self.
Vanessa handed out the game supplies—pads of paper, markers, and a timer—before sitting down beside Wade. I took a seat on the couch opposite Logan, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. As the game began, the room quickly filled with laughter and playful banter.
Wade was, as expected, in his element. His drawings were ridiculous, exaggerated, and often strayed into the realm of the absurd, but that only made the game more entertaining. Vanessa was competitive, as always, her guesses rapid-fire as she tried to beat the clock. Logan, on the other hand, was more reserved, but I noticed that he was surprisingly good at drawing—his sketches were simple yet effective, and he rarely needed more than a few lines to get his point across.
As the game went on, I found myself getting more comfortable, letting go of the lingering tension from the day. The playful atmosphere was infectious, and even Logan seemed to be relaxing a little, though he still kept a watchful eye on Wade, who was clearly enjoying himself a bit too much.
At one point, Wade drew something so outrageous that Vanessa and I dissolved into fits of laughter, struggling to catch our breath as we tried to make sense of the chaotic lines on the page. Logan, meanwhile, just shook his head, though I caught a rare smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
"Alright, alright," Vanessa finally gasped, wiping tears of laughter from her eyes. "Let's take a break before Wade completely derails the game."
We all agreed, and I got up to grab more drinks from the kitchen. As I did, I couldn't help but notice the way Logan's gaze followed me, just for a moment, before he turned his attention back to the conversation.
Is he into her? Vanessa wondered, her eyes flicking between the two of us as we laughed over one of Wade's outrageous sketches. Logan's usually so closed off, but around Vi... there's something different about him. Something softer, almost protective.
She watched as Logan reached over to grab a snack, his arm brushing against mine in the process. It was a small thing, barely noticeable, but Vanessa caught the way Logan quickly glanced at me afterward, as if checking to see if I was okay with the brief contact. I didn't seem to mind; in fact, I didn't seem to notice at all, but Logan's reaction wasn't lost on Vanessa.
He's definitely got a soft spot for her, Vanessa mused, trying to suppress a smile. But does Vi see it? Does she even realize how much he cares?
Determined to find out more, Vanessa decided to keep a close eye on the pair for the rest of the night. If there was something there, she was going to uncover it.
The rest of the night passed in a blur of laughter, teasing, and the kind of lighthearted fun that I hadn't realized I needed so much. By the time the last game was put away, and the snacks had been devoured, I felt a sense of contentment that had been missing for a while.
As the night wound down, Wade stretched and yawned dramatically. "Well, folks, this has been a blast, but I think it's time for me to hit the sack. Gotta rest up for tomorrow's mission."
Vanessa smiled, giving him a playful shove. "You mean you're just tired of losing."
Wade feigned offense. "Losing? Me? Never! But I'll let you think that if it helps you sleep at night."
We all shared a laugh as Wade got up, giving us all a mock salute. Vanessa walked him to the bedroom, clearly planning on keeping him for the night.
Logan and I stayed behind in the living room, enjoying the comfortable silence that had settled over us. Logan, nursing the last of his beer, looked at me with a slightly more relaxed expression.
"So, what did you think? Not as bad as you thought, right?" I asked, breaking the silence.
Logan met my gaze, his expression softening. "Not bad," he admitted. "Actually... it was nice. Different."
I smiled, feeling a warmth in my chest at his words. "I'm glad you joined us. It wouldn't have been the same without you."
He didn't say anything, but the look he gave me spoke volumes. There was something in his eyes, something that made my heart skip a beat, but before I could dwell on it, Vanessa returned, clapping her hands together.
"Alright, time to wrap it up. Thanks for coming, guys. This was fun. We should do it again."
Logan and I stood up, and after saying our goodbyes, we headed back to our apartment. The walk was quiet, but it wasn't awkward. It felt... comfortable.
As we reached our door, I turned to Logan, feeling a little hesitant. "So, tomorrow... you still up for that mission with Wade?"
He gave a short nod. "Yeah. I'll be ready."
"Good," I said, trying to hide the smile that threatened to break out. "Get some rest, then. We've got a busy day ahead."
With that, we both went to our rooms, and as I closed my door behind me, I couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for what the next day would bring. But for now, I was content, knowing that tonight had been a small step toward something more—something I wasn't quite ready to name but was eager to explore.
Tumblr media
I woke up around 7 a.m., the early morning light filtering through the curtains. Last night, Wade mentioned that we had a mission to take down some drug dealers who were using kids to traffic drugs across state lines. Sick fucks, I thought to myself, feeling a surge of anger just thinking about it.
I got out of bed, stretching my muscles and trying to shake off the lingering drowsiness. Today was going to be intense, and I needed to be ready.
I did my usual morning routine, brushing my teeth and splashing cold water on my face to fully wake myself up. I then went to my closet, pulling out my suit. As I zipped it up, I heard the familiar sounds of Logan already awake, making noise in the bathroom. The clatter of the shower turning off and the shuffle of him moving around told me he was getting ready too.
I walked to the kitchen and started making breakfast for both of us, cracking eggs into a pan and setting some bread in the toaster. I’ve mostly taken on the cooking duties since Logan moved in, not that I minded. But it did make me wonder—does Logan even know how to cook? Or has he been living off whatever he can find?
As I was flipping the eggs, I heard the bathroom door open and turned to see Logan stepping out, fully dressed this time. He was wearing his blue and yellow gear, the suit clinging to his muscular frame, highlighting every line of strength and power. It was a far cry from the towel-clad figure I’d gotten used to seeing in the mornings, but it was a welcome change. He looked ready for anything, his expression set in that usual stoic determination.
"Morning," I said, offering him a small smile as I plated up the breakfast.
Logan nodded in acknowledgment, his eyes flicking to the food. "Morning," he replied, his tone gruff but not unfriendly.
I set the plates on the table and gestured for him to sit down. "Made us some breakfast. Figured we’d need the energy for today."
He looked at the food, then back at me, a hint of appreciation in his eyes. "Thanks," he said, sitting down and picking up his fork. "You didn’t have to, but... it’s appreciated."
I shrugged, sitting down across from him. "No problem. Just curious, though—do you know how to cook?"
Logan paused for a moment, then let out a low chuckle. "I can manage the basics. But I guess I’ve gotten used to other people handling that stuff."
I grinned, feeling a bit of pride at being able to contribute something, even if it was just breakfast. "Well, anytime you want to take a turn, feel free. But until then, I’ve got it covered."
He gave a short nod, digging into his food. The two of us ate in comfortable silence, the anticipation of the day ahead hanging in the air but not weighing us down.
Tumblr media
Logan and I stood outside Vanessa's apartment, waiting as Wade said his goodbyes. I could hear their voices through the door, a mix of teasing and affection that made me smile. Wade was always over the top, but with Vanessa, there was a sensitivity to him, a side that only she seemed to bring out. Logan leaned against the wall, arms crossed, his expression as unreadable as ever. But I could tell he was eager to get going, the weight of the mission already settling on his shoulders. I shifted slightly, glancing at the door as it finally opened.
Wade stepped out, a grin plastered on his face as he waved back at Vanessa, who stood in the doorway, giving us all a small wave in return. "Alright, lovebirds, time to go kick ass and take names... and maybe even squeeze in some after-hours fun, if you catch my drift," Wade said with a wicked smirk, his eyes glinting with mischief.
Vanessa rolled her eyes but couldn’t help the smile that tugged at her lips. "Just make sure the only thing you’re squeezing is the trigger, Wade," she shot back, her tone playful but with a hint of seriousness.
"And be careful out there," she called after us, her voice laced with concern despite the lightness of the moment.
"Always, sweetheart," Wade replied, blowing her a kiss before turning to us.
"You two ready?" Logan pushed off the wall, giving a curt nod. "Let’s get this over with," he muttered, already mentally gearing up for what was ahead.
I glanced at Vanessa one last time, giving her a reassuring smile before we turned and headed down the hallway. The mission was on, and there was no turning back now.
The famous yellow taxi was parked outside, idling at the curb like it had been waiting for us all along. As I climbed in, I couldn’t help but wonder—after all this time, is Wade even paying Dopinder to take us to our missions? Or is this just another one of Wade’s never-ending favors? The thought made me chuckle to myself as I slid into the backseat, Logan settling in beside me, looking as serious as ever.
Wade jumped into the front seat with a grin, slapping Dopinder on the shoulder. "Alright, my trusty chariot, let’s get this threesome on the road! And if you get us there fast enough, I might just let you watch the fireworks—if you know what I mean," he quipped with a wink, clearly enjoying himself.
Dopinder shot Wade a nervous smile, glancing back at us through the rearview mirror. "Of course, Mr. Pool. Anything for you and your friends," he replied, a bit of that familiar apprehension in his voice.
I couldn’t help but shake my head with a small smile as we pulled away from the curb, the city blurring past us as we headed toward whatever chaos awaited us. Wade might be impossible, but he was our impossible, and we were ready for whatever came next.
Tumblr media
We arrived at the warehouse, the heavy, looming structure casting long shadows in the early morning light. The tension in the air was palpable as we prepared to take down this operation once and for all. Wade, surprisingly focused for once, quickly laid out the plan.
"Alright, here’s the deal," Wade said, his tone serious but still tinged with his usual irreverence. "Vi, you’re on distraction duty. Flash those powers of yours around, make a scene, and draw the assholes out. Logan, you’re the muscle—cut through anyone who gets in our way. I’ll handle the rest. And by 'rest,' I mean the fun part where I get to blow things up."
He grinned, clearly eager to get started. "Remember, kids—keep it clean, keep it mean, and don’t let those bastards get away. We’re here to send a message."
We all nodded in agreement, the gravity of the mission settling over us. With one last look at each other, we moved toward the warehouse entrance, ready to take down the operation. The doors creaked open as we stepped inside, the dim lighting revealing a maze of crates and machinery. The sound of distant voices echoed through the space, and we knew we were getting close.
It was time to do what we did best. No turning back now.
The moment we stepped inside, the warehouse was a flurry of motion. Shadows moved in the dim light, and the echo of distant voices quickly turned into shouts of alarm as they realized they were under attack.
Wade, always the first to dive into chaos, leaped forward with a manic grin on his face. "Showtime!" he yelled, pulling out his katanas and slicing through the nearest thug with a quick, practiced motion. Blood splattered across the concrete floor as he twirled, dispatching another goon with a swift kick to the chest.
Logan wasted no time either, his claws extending with a metallic *SNIKT* as he charged into the fray. He was a force of nature, tearing through the men with brutal efficiency. One tried to get the drop on him from behind, but Logan whirled around, slashing his claws across the man’s chest, sending him crumpling to the ground.
I focused my energy, feeling the familiar surge of power course through me. With a flick of my wrist, I sent a telekinetic wave crashing into a group of men who had tried to circle around us. They flew backward, slamming into crates and walls, their weapons scattering across the floor.
"Is that all you’ve got?" I taunted, my voice echoing through the warehouse. I raised my hands, using my powers to lift a pile of crates and hurl them at another group of thugs who were trying to regroup. The crates smashed into them, knocking them to the ground with bone-crunching force.
One of the men, a burly guy with a scar running down his face, lunged at Logan with a crowbar. Logan barely flinched as he caught the man’s arm mid-swing, twisting it until the crowbar clattered to the floor. With a low growl, Logan drove his claws into the man’s abdomen, pulling them out in one smooth motion as the man collapsed at his feet.
Wade, meanwhile, was having the time of his life. He was surrounded by a half-dozen goons, but that didn’t seem to bother him in the slightest. He ducked and weaved between them, slashing with his swords and firing off shots from his pistols in between. "Come on, boys! Who’s next? I’ve got plenty of love to go around!" he cackled, slicing through another thug’s knee, sending him screaming to the ground.
In the midst of the chaos, I spotted the leader of the operation—a tall, lean man with a cold, calculating look in his eyes. He was barking orders, trying to rally his men, but it was clear he knew the fight was already lost. I locked eyes with him and started toward him, using my powers to send anyone in my path flying out of the way.
The leader tried to pull a gun on me, but I was faster. I used my telekinesis to wrench the weapon from his hand, then sent a blast of energy that knocked him off his feet. He hit the ground hard, and before he could even think about getting up, Logan was there, claws at the ready.
"End of the line," Logan growled, his eyes locked on the man’s.
The leader paled, his bravado evaporating as he realized there was no escape.
"Please… I’ll talk, I’ll tell you everything!" he stammered, his eyes darting between Logan and me.
"Too late for that," Logan snarled, but I stepped forward, placing a hand on his arm.
"Let’s hear what he has to say," I said, my voice cold and commanding. Logan hesitated for a moment, then nodded, retracting his claws.
The leader scrambled to his knees, fear written all over his face.
"It was just a job… we were supposed to move the shipment tonight… that’s all I know, I swear!" he babbled, his voice trembling.
Wade sauntered over, wiping blood off one of his katanas with a rag he’d found.
"Well, that’s not very helpful," he said, his tone mocking. "I was hoping for something a bit more… explosive."
I narrowed my eyes at the leader. "Who hired you?"
"I-I don’t know his name… just that he’s high up in the cartel. We get our orders through a middleman. Please, I’m telling you the truth!"
Before we could press him further, a loud crack echoed through the warehouse. The leader’s eyes went wide, and he slumped forward, a bullet hole in the back of his head. I spun around, searching for the source of the shot, but whoever had pulled the trigger was long gone.
"Shit," Logan muttered, glaring at the leader’s lifeless body. "Someone didn’t want him talking."
"Yeah, no kidding," Wade said, sheathing his katanas. "Guess we’ll have to find our answers elsewhere."
I let out a frustrated sigh, but there was no time to dwell on it. We had taken down the operation, but the bigger threat was still out there.
"Let’s clean up here and get out," I said, my mind already racing with the possibilities. This was far from over.
After securing the warehouse and making sure there were no loose ends, we gathered outside, waiting for Dopinder to pick us up. The adrenaline was still pumping, but the weight of what had just happened settled in. The mission had been successful, but there were still too many unanswered questions.
Logan leaned against the wall, his usual stoic expression back in place, while Wade fidgeted impatiently, clearly eager to get back and brag about our exploits. I stood quietly, my thoughts still lingering on the leader’s last moments and the bullet that had ended him.
Finally, the familiar yellow taxi pulled up, and Dopinder waved at us from the driver’s seat, his usual nervous smile in place. We piled into the car, the exhaustion of the day starting to take its toll as we settled into the seats.
The ride back was quiet, a stark contrast to the chaos of the warehouse. Even Wade seemed content to sit in silence, his earlier energy fading as the reality of what we’d done sunk in. Logan stared out the window, lost in his own thoughts, while I tried to process everything that had happened.
When we finally arrived home, the sun was just beginning to rise, casting a pale light over the city. We climbed out of the taxi, and Wade slapped Dopinder on the back with a tired grin. "Another mission accomplished, my friend. Take the rest of the day off—you’ve earned it."
Dopinder nodded, giving us a small wave before driving off, leaving us standing outside our building. Wade lingered for a moment, giving us both a sly grin.
"Well, kiddos, it's been fun. Don't do anything I wouldn't do—or maybe do everything I would do. You know, whatever keeps things interesting."
With that, Wade turned on his heel and headed toward Vanessa’s apartment, already pulling out his phone, no doubt ready to relay the night’s events with his usual flair. Logan and I exchanged a brief glance, both too exhausted to say much. Without a word, we turned and made our way to our apartment. The adrenaline had worn off, leaving only the heavy weight of fatigue.
The silence between us was comfortable, a shared understanding that, for now, there wasn’t much left to say. We’d faced down another mission, come out the other side, and now, all that was left was to find some rest before whatever came next.
Tumblr media
A few days had passed since the mission at the warehouse, and life had settled into a surprisingly comfortable rhythm with Logan. We’d fallen into a routine—quiet mornings where we’d make breakfast together, evenings spent watching old movies, and the occasional mission with Wade that kept things interesting.
Logan had turned out to be a more considerate roommate than I’d expected. He wasn’t exactly talkative, but there was something reassuring about his presence, the way he filled the silence without making it awkward. We’d watch films together, mostly old classics or the occasional action flick, and though he rarely commented, I could tell he enjoyed the downtime.
What Logan didn’t know was that I’d been helping him sleep better. His nightmares were still a problem, but I’d been using my powers to calm his mind at night, easing him into a deeper, more restful sleep. He hadn’t noticed, or at least he hadn’t mentioned it, but I could see the difference in how he carried himself during the day—less tension, fewer dark circles under his eyes.
And then there were the missions with Wade, which provided a welcome distraction from the quiet routine. Wade was always the same—chaotic, unpredictable, but oddly dependable when it counted. He’d drag us into all sorts of crazy situations, but we always managed to get through it together. Each mission was a reminder of the strange but unbreakable bond we’d formed over time.
Life with Logan was different from anything I’d experienced before. There was no drama, no unnecessary complications—just a simple, steady companionship that made the days feel a little less lonely. And though I’d never admit it, I found myself looking forward to the moments we spent together, even the quiet ones. as the days passed I spent less and less time thinking about Adam.
For now, things were fine—better than fine, actually. But a small part of me couldn’t help but wonder how long it would last, and what might happen when the peace was inevitably disrupted. Until then, I was content to enjoy the calm before the next storm.

I just made myself a cup of a new tea, one from a set that a friend sent me. I was super curious to try it with and without milk in it, so after I take a sip without, I'm going to add milk to my tea.
That may seem like such an inane little story to post on a blog, unless you have an eating disorder. I'm sure many of you know what a big deal milk in tea can be, and what an important act of self-love it is.
It was poured into many of our ears, approaching teenhood in the mid-2000's, not to "drink our calories." For those of us whose restriction was weight-based, many of us practiced filling ourselves with water, with our coffee black and unsweetened whether that was how we liked it or not, and with tea that never contained milk.
Like many people who've struggled with binge eating and with restriction, I struggle with creating anxiety-inducing rules about when is okay to eat, especially if I'm between meals and worrying if I should allow myself a snack, or if it's okay to quench my thirst with anything other than water. This is especially true between meals. For some reason my brain has accepted the "extra" caloric intake as part of a meal, but still balks at the idea of introducing these things independently into non-meal parts of the day. I would like to note that my chronic illness and my body's reaction to food has also influenced this weird relationship between me and my favorite treats, such as a piece of candy, or a beverage that might happen to contain a greater-than-zero calorie count.
But tonight, before bed, I want to try this tea. And it sounds like one that'd be super tasty with milk, as it has cocoa powder and vanilla in the blend. So I let my tea cool in the room with me as I type this, telling myself that I can get up and go back for milk after I taste it.
Now I have gone to the kitchen.
Now I have poured in a splash of milk and tasted. It's soy milk, as regular milk sometimes hurts my stomach and I don't want my sleep to be disrupted. Due to my chronic illness, this is still something I have to think about, and I'll be honest, I hate it. Things like this make it so hard to tell myself I can let go of my food fears, because my brain knows that some of my food fears will turn out to have validity, and so what if they all do?
Now I have poured in another splash. Tasted.
Now I have poured in a third, much larger splash. Tasted.
Oh, this is it. This tea tastes like a warm dessert. But now it's too cool, so I need to microwave it back to its best heat. I used to not want to microwave my food. As a teen I heard a hippie say that microwaves destroy the nutrients in your food because the radiation breaks down their molecular structure. This is absolutely false. In fact, it's been disproven that microwaves break down nutrients any more than other methods of heating food, but for a long time I believed it. And even after I learned the truth, I still found it hard to convince myself it was okay to use microwaves for a very long time.
I have just finished my tea in my room. I took the time to identify that I wanted it. I took the time to truly taste it in several different ways, consider how I felt I wanted it and bring it to those specifications. It wasn't planned for any specific time or day, but I agreed to give myself this the way I wanted it anyway. I've been drinking my coffee with milk every morning, too. I actually like black coffee, but I like it better with milk. And I give myself things throughout the day that I enjoy, to enhance my experience of my existence. Life is hard, and it's okay to allow yourself, to the fullest extent you can, the small joys that bring you through the day.
I wanted to share this with you. I hope you don't feel the crushing weight of morality when staring at a bottle of regular soda and the sugar-free, when you wake up with your morning coffee, when your self-care regimen includes a cup of tea. I hope you practice actively giving yourself the love you need this week. And I hope you give it to yourself exactly the way you need it.

consume your unrest (geto x reader x gojo) pt.5
previous masterlist next
warnings: feeding (the good kind), i totally planned for this chapter to be done so quick, i have 10 other drafts i should be focusing on
It’s awkward. Suffocatingly awkward.
You shift nervously in your seat, your hands trembling slightly as you held the burger.
You don’t think you have the stomach to face them right now. The burger looks… Appetizingly gross. Your stomach growls.
Did you eat anything at all till now?
Suguru notices your hesitance as Satoru stops digging into his ice cream midway, still, the spoon that hangs out of his mouth suggests that he’s still appreciating the flavour.
“Are you okay? Did you not want to eat this?”Suguru tilted his head as he watched you, noticing the slight tremor in your fingers as you try hard to avoid his gaze. He’s worried. Should he order you something else? You hope he doesn’t notice the cold sweat.
Think. Think of an excuse. Think of something to lessen the weight of their gaze. You spot a flash of dark green.
“I- I don’t like… Cucumbers.”
“Oh, the pickles?” Suguru smiles, reaching for your food. “I’ll eat them for you then.” He gingerly removes the half-wrapped burger from your hands, separating the bun and its components to extract your ‘hated’ food.
“Meanwhile, you can share my ice cream!” A spoon is held out in front of you, a generous scoop of frozen, chocolatey vanilla goodness atop.
“Say aaah!”
You relent, remaining quiet but opening your mouth as the spoon gets pushed in.
It’s good. And it shows on your face as your eyes begin to sparkle, your mouth quirking up slightly at the sweetness.
Satoru has smirk so wide, you want to hide. “Want the rest?”
It’s too good to say no to. You hesitantly nod.
“Hmm, looks like there’s only a few bites left.” He hums, tilting his head downwards and looking into the sundae cup. “Looks like there’s no point in giving you the cup.”
Your shoulders visibly droop. “T-then it’s fine.” He always liked sweets better than you, anyway. “Y-you can have the rest, Sator-“
“I’ll just have to feed you the rest myself!” Another scoop is held out in front of you once again. You want to drool at how appetizing it still looked.
You obey, letting the spoon into your mouth as a dollap of cream accidentally smears the corner of your lip, your tongue peeking out slightly to get at it as Satoru watches you with such a pretty smile on his face.
(You’re blushing.)
Your burger soon comes into view before you, pickles visibly gone. Suguru is holding it.
You reach out, before it suddenly pulls away from your hand.
“..?” You’re confused, taken aback. Why won’t he give it to you?
You try again, grabbing for it, only for it to avoid you with lightning quick reflexes, before it hovers before your lips.
Ah. You get it. Suguru wants to feed you too. Your blush grows heavy along with your towering embarrassment.
(Are they making fun of you?)
“Open up for me, yeah?” Suguru’s voice is heard as you begin to hesitantly part your lips, the burger soon being pressed gently inbetween them for you to bite down on as you spot Satoru giving you a playful wink out of the corner of your eye as he steals Suguru’s barely eaten burger.
They are definitely messing with you again.
You chew on the savory burger, the juice from the meat coupled with the tanginess of the sauce, the meatiness of the cheese, the slight crunch of the lettuce and the fresh taste of the tomatoes… It was really good.
(You’re smiling before you even knew it.)
(Food has never tasted so good. Were you that hungry?)
The duo continue their quiet chatter as Suguru pats your head, handing you the burger as he chides Satoru for stealing his.
“You literally have 12 other burgers, and you pick mine…”
“Hey, a winner’s a winner!” He takes a comically large bite, stuffing his cheeks. “Sore lhosers gwet nhooo shay!”
He swallows as quickly as he chewed. “(name)~, feed me a bite of your yours too~”
Suguru chops Satoru’s incoming head towards you.
“Eat your own!”
——
The basketball bounces in his hand as he dribbled, Gojo laughing as he steals the ball from Geto with ease.
“Too slow, babe!” His movements are swift, almost teasing as he dunks the ball.
Suguru huffs, his hand running through his wind tussled hair, bun coming undone slightly as he grits his teeth.
“Show-off.”
“And that’s one more point for the great Gojo Satoru!” The white-haired shaman exclaimed, hands on his hips, chest puffed out in victory.
You’re completely distracted. The way Suguru had pulled his sleeves up over his arms had you nearly drooling.
You always liked the way Suguru’s arms looked. They were big, comfy-looking and you definitely wouldn’t mind them squeezing you in a tight hug.
Too distracted to even notice that the winner was waving his hand in front of you, the loser chuckling as he crosses his arms, enthused by the way you were shamelessly staring.
“You should go easy on him, Satoru…” Was your automatic reply, your words drawling themselves out as you continued to stare.
Gojo pouted, seating himself next to you, knee to knee, shoulder to shoulder as he pressed his sweaty head against your shoulder, grabbing your wrist, unscrewing the cap of the bottle and downing the cold water you held in your hand, with you technically feeding him as he drank.
You let him.
“I won, you know?”
You hum, still distracted.
“I deserve a reward, right?”
You hum again, unknowingly agreeing.
Satoru places his chin on your shoulder, arms wrapping around your waist as he hugs you from the side. Suguru sits down beside you as you immediately hand him a the other cold bottle you were holding.
“Say, (name).” Satoru begins as Suguru wipes his sweat with a handkerchief. “What kind of guys are you into?”
You suddenly come back to your senses.

Notes:
You have grown accustomed to sweets since Satoru had always (force) fed you his treats. Whether you like or had a distaste for them initially, you have grown to like them due to Gojo.
Satoru loves eating Suguru’s food. This was how Suguru had trained him to eat more vegetables willingly.
“It just tastes better cause it’s yours!”
Suguru has noticed your obsession with his arms. He’s really proud of it. He tells Satoru about it whilst his boyfriend flexes and compares with him, pouting.
“We have the same workout routine! Why does she like yours more?!”
“I’m just better.”
Ieiri had actually gone back to the dorms after her little smoke break. Texting you something about you, “Needing some alone time with them.”

Eddie was glad he was able to crash at Steve’s, rather than living in Wayne’s trailer. Don’t get him wrong, he loved his dear uncle but sometimes Eddie wanted his own space. Even if he doesn’t necessarily have his own space with Steve, at least it’s someone his age.
But what he was not expecting was when your little figure walked right out of Steve’s room, in only a t-shirt. You yawned rubbing your eyes before you took notice of Eddie’s presence, which was him sitting at the kitchen island eating cereal.
You stopped in your tracks, staring at him with wide eyes, before you ran off back to Steve’s room. Eddie stared at the closed door for a minute, before he got up to get the phone.
‘Hello, this is-“
‘Why didn’t you tell me about the girl.’ Eddie demanded, cutting Steve off.
‘Oh. um y/n you mean?’ he asked, Eddie let out a frustrated sigh.
‘Well fucking hell Steve, i didn’t even get to know her name she walked out here, mind you in only a t-shirt and once she noticed me she scurried on back to your room.’ Eddie said, Steve almost laughed but kept his composure.
‘She’s just a shy girl, i told her that i was having someone live in the apartment for a while. As for you i’m sorry i didn’t tell you, no one else really knows about her’ Steve says, Eddie furrows his brows.
‘Is she your girlfriend?’ Eddie asks confusion deep in his voice. Steve sighs, leaning against the counter.
‘yeah, but she’s shy so- she didn’t really want anyone to know’ Steve explains, Eddie hums.
‘Well she looked terrified of me.’
‘Everyone is terrified of you Ed’s look in the mirror man’ Steve laughed, Eddie grumbled saying his goodbyes before hanging up.
Eddie took his seat back on the stool, finishing his now soggy cereal.
-
You hadn’t come out at all that day, that is until you heard the jingles of Steve’s keys and then the front door opening. You sit up, getting out of the bed. You open the door peeking out of it, seeing Steve close the door behind him and putting his keys on the kitchen counter.
He spots you and you smile sweetly, he walks over to you walking into the room. Eddie had been watching the whole thing from the couch.
-
‘Have you even eaten today sweet girl?’ he asked, a little frustrated that you let your social anxiety take over.
‘Um… no. I got scared!’ you whine, he lets out a sigh shaking his head.
‘Eddie is no one you should be scared of’ he explains getting out of his work clothes, changing into a pair of sweats and a t-shirt.
‘You sure’ you whisper, he nods walking over to you and giving you a kiss to the forehead.
‘Come on, you gotta at least be civil to him and say hi.’ Steve says giving you a pair of his boxers, you pout but put them on anyways.
You walk behind Steve as he opens the door, staying behind him. You can sense the presence of another human, and you don’t like it.
‘Say hi’ Steve says, to which you then make yourself visible to the other one whispering a small hi as you look down at your feet.
‘Hi there, would have introduced myself this morning if you hadn’t run off.’ Eddie jokes making you relax a little at his soft laugh.
‘Sorry, i’m y/n’ you whisper, taking a chance at looking at the other man.
‘No worries, i’m Eddie’ he said smiling, his heart absolutely melted at your soft aura.
‘Nice to meet you’ you say avoiding eye contact. Eddie grins looking over at Steve mouthing ‘real shy huh?’ Steve just grins back nodding.
‘Nice to meet you too’ Eddie laughs slightly, you burn up taking note that there is another person staring at you other than Steve.
You make thin line with your lips humming a small ‘mhm’, walking back into Steve’s room. Eddie watched as you shut the door, and he just laughed.
‘Well god dammit Steven, you didn’t tell me she was that shy.’ Eddie said in amusement, Steve rolled his eyes at the name.
‘i told you, she’s just very antisocial she’ll warm up to you’ Steve explained walking to the kitchen to make you something to eat.
-
The next morning wasn’t so bad, you had not been scared to walk out of Steve’s room to make something to eat. But you still avoided eye contact with Eddie.
He talked to you and you would talk back, and you surprisingly found the company comforting. Steve had work what felt like all the time, so you’d be at his apartment alone. Having someone to talk to gave you a sort of comfort.
‘When did you two start dating?’ Eddie asked as you placed your food on a plate.
‘um… about 5months ago’ you whispered, Eddie hums.
‘Yeah, no one knows. I don’t like people that much’ you mumble, Eddie chuckles making you almost loose your breath. It’s a sound that Steve makes sometimes, and it makes your stomach flutter.
Eddie had tried to engage in you, per Steve’s request.
‘just try and talk to her please, she just needs an extra push’
‘you’d make good friends with El, she’s a quiet little thing like you’ Eddie says and for some reason you blushed.
‘Yeah that’s what Stevie tells me’ You hadn’t even realized you let the name you call him slip, if Eddie had noticed he had no point in showing it.
You place your plate down next to Eddie and happily eat.
-
As the days went on you began to be more comfortable around Eddie.
Eddie had explained he was leaving to go visit his uncle, and Steve took that chance. He knew you were dying on the inside, because he had told you that you had to hold off on the sex for a while. You guys already didn’t have much sex, so you were going on about 3 weeks without sex.
So when he got you on the couch, kissing down your pretty neck you relished in it.
You were sex deprived?
So when Steve was taking things slow you practically cried. Pouting at him, saying how you’ve been good and waited.
‘Yes, and i’m so proud of you baby’ he replied.
Steve was the soft type, surprisingly.
-
You were so close, pleading him. So far down into your own mind that you hadn’t heard the front door. Quite frankly neither did Steve, and when Eddie walked in he got a glimpse of just what he wanted.
‘Steve!’ it was a cry out from you that had Eddie freezing in his spot. He stared for a good minute, watching the way Steve’s face contorted with pleasure.
He grew hard in his pants, before either of you could see him he walked back out. Rushing to his van.
He slammed the door, sitting in his seat. Running his hands through his hair. It was running through his mind.
You laying there, all needy and submissive to Steve as he helped you- god.
‘FUCK!’ Eddie hit his wheel, he’s fucked. He leaned down to the wheel thinking for a moment.
He started his van driving off.
-
‘And i just stood there Robin.’ Eddie said, Robin sighed as she listened to him.
‘Who were you attracted to?’ she asked suddenly, Eddie paused looking at her.
‘I- her obviously i mean-‘ he stopped himself when Robin gave him a look.
‘Why are you looking at me like that.’ he stated, she sat down next to him.
‘because i don’t believe you.’ she said, Eddie raised an eyebrow.
‘Wha-‘
‘You walked in on Steve having sex with some one, and you watched. What if it was Jonathan? Do you think he would stand there and watch Steve fuck someone?’ She asked, Eddie froze.
‘Who were you attracted to Eddie.’ she asked again, Eddie swallowed thickly leaning back into the couch.
‘Both of them.’ he said.
-
Later that night you were nearly asleep when you heard the sound of keys, and the door opening. You felt Steve pull out of the bed and opening the bedroom door. Then there was faint talking, your bedroom door making it muffled.
‘Where were you?’ Steve asked, Eddie just gave a raised eyebrow.
‘my uncles. i told you-‘
‘yeah you told me you’d be back by 10’ Steve cut him off, Eddie gave a confused look.
‘I’m sorry? i didn’t know i was on a curfew’ Steve rolled his eyes.
‘I’m just saying you could have called to say you were staying later or something.’ Steve said, Eddie has been through too much and now Steve is showing that stupid motherly friend side of him and it’s not helping.
‘Ok sorry’ he mumbled walking to the kitchen to get water, he went over it with Robin. How to tell Steve, but he just couldn’t bring himself to do it.
‘You scared y/n you know’ Steve mumbled, Eddie froze at this. He shut the door, water bottle in hand.
‘Well- i- sorry i didn’t mean to’ he said walking off to the couch.
You were sitting at the door listening to them.
‘Why are you acting like that?’ Steve says, Eddie stops and looks back at him.
‘like what?’ Eddie asks, Steve just stares at him a moment longer.
‘i don’t know- weird’ Steve asks, Eddie lets out a bitter laugh that makes your stomach drop.
‘i thought i was already weird’ Eddie says, Steve just rolls his eyes.
‘Okay whatever, i’m not gonna try talking to you if you’re acting like that’ Steve says, Eddie ignores him.
You hear Steve’s footsteps and you jump up from the floor backing away. He walks in and notices you frantic look.
‘Were you listening?’ he asks, you nod shyly.
‘Sorry, i don’t know what’s up with him’ Steve mumbles, he just kinda stands there.
‘Maybe he just- needs to sleep, we all need sleep sometimes’ you mumble, Steve gives you a small smile kissing you on the forehead.
‘yeah’ he whispered.
-
It got harder and harder for Eddie to keep his composure around you. To you he was more sweet but to Steve… he just plain out ignored him.
It irritated Steve enormously. He hadn’t figured out why Eddie had been so different around him, it’s almost like he was scared of Steve.
One day you had been asleep in Steve’s room when Eddie walked in. Steve writing something down about rent. When he saw Eddie he got up, moving towards him.
‘Ok ed’s, what is your deal?’ Steve asked in a hushed tone, trying not to wake you up.
‘What do you mean?’ Eddie asked confused.
‘You know what i fucking mean. You’ve been avoiding me like the plague!’ Steve says.
It tipped Steve off, Eddie was his- friend. Eddie was his friend who wasn’t paying attention to him.
‘I- i’ve just been busy’ Eddie says, Steve doesn’t buy it, not one fucking bit.
‘Yeah fucking right! Y/n said you’ve been perfectly normal to her?!’ Eddie freezes at that.
‘Listen it’s just- complicated…’ Eddie tried to reason but Steve is not pleased.
‘GEEZ EDS LET ME HELP YOU OR SOMETHING?! YOU’RE AVOIDING ME AND ITS DRIVING ME UP THE WALL!’ Steve hadn’t meant to shout, but it was hard not to when he felt like what he did.
‘Where’s y/n?’ Eddie asked looking around, Steve just stared at him.
‘She’s sleeping.’ he said blankly.
‘Do you like my girlfriend?’ he accused, Eddie looked stunned.
Steve had thought about it a few times, scared it was true.
‘What? where- where is this coming from.’ Eddie protested.
‘DO YOU LIKE MY GIRLFRIEND?’ Steve shouted again, Eddie was pulled back.
‘I- Steve listen…’
Steve hated this feeling. He was infuriated. But it wasn’t because Eddie liked his girlfriend, it was because Eddie he didn’t like him. His eyes burned and he hadn’t realized tears had grown.
Steve’s head went into a spiral, had he liked Eddie? No. He liked his girlfriend, god he loved her.
‘I walked in on you guys the other day when i said i was going to Wayne’s- i came back a little early i didn’t think- i hadn’t thought and i walked in on you two on the couch-‘ Eddie slowly explained, Steve just stood there in shock.
‘I just… um my mind went a little crazy and i just froze. I ran off to Robins and i told her about it, she kept on asking me who i was attracted to- and i- i just couldn’t set my mind um,’ Eddie didn’t know how to say it.
‘You like both of us.’ Steve said, breathing uneven. Eddie’s head snapped up in alarm.
They both stayed silent, scared to be the first one to talk. Eddie swallowed thickly, Trying to gather his thoughts.
‘Yeah’ he mumbled, his hands went wet.
There was nothing else to say, they both felt frozen.
Eddie knew deep down that he never really cared who he ended up with. But Steve had grown up with entitled parents who thought they were better than everyone else.
He remembers a night where his mother complained about her cousin, who had ran off and dated a boy.
‘He’s disgusting’
He remembered the dis-taste in her voice, the venom. When he met Robin he immediately felt a pang in his heart, Robin was just being herself, she wasn’t disgusting.
Steve always tried his best to please his mom, his father never really gave him the time of day. So if he were able to please his mom then he felt like he had it all. The feeling of pleasing his mom was like winning the Nobel Prize.
But he realized that not everyone wins the Nobel Prize. And not everyone can achieve that, and that’s okay. Because in the end of the day we are all just humans trying to live, so why does it matter that he likes Eddie?
Why does his mom think he’s anything less than herself, why does she think Robin doesn’t deserve to be loved. That’s how he knew that he never really needed to please his mom, he shouldn’t have even tried. Because she was the one that was less than a human, she was the one going against someone who was just trying to love.
‘Idotoo’ Steve hadn’t realized it slipped until Eddie looked up at him in shock.
His feet looked quite interesting in the moment, but they had been blurred by the stupid water in his eyes.
‘What?’ Eddie asked, unsure he heard correctly.
‘I do too, um… you and y/n’ he mumbled looking back up at Eddie, tear streaked cheeks. Eddie just stared in shock, why was he crying?
‘Is that- is that even allowed’ Steve says letting out a nervous huff.
‘Robin said it was’ Eddie shrugged, and Steve actually felt like he could smile. He felt okay, he supposed in the moment.
‘Yeah Robin thinks it’s okay to put ketchup on eggs.’ Steve states softly, rubbing his nose and sniffing.
‘Yeah so we should trust her eh?’ Eddie says, Steve rolls his eyes.
‘You too?’ he asks in disbelief, Eddie shrugs.
‘Sorry man’
Steve hadn’t realized Eddie got any closer until he felt arms wrap around him. He stood frozen for a little until he finally let himself be himself, wrapping his arms around Eddie letting out small sobs.
He just felt okay, like he could destroy the world and bring all back together. He felt like he could actually breath.
He laid out everything to Eddie, about his mother, his father and how for so long he felt like a disappointment. But now he really didn’t care, because people like his parents can never truly be pleased.
And they thought that now they feel content in their feelings, why not make it fun?
Mess with you
-
It was the next morning Steve was already off to work, you began to walk out to the kitchen when you stopped in your tracks, Eddie was on the couch. With only boxers on.
You just stared, why? why was he so confidently spread out in the open in ONLY his boxers?!?
You just ignored it walking into the kitchen beginning to make your breakfast.
-
Eddie had been more touchy, not to the point where it made you uncomfortable but just to the point where is made you blush and want to cower.
But something that really made you blush was when he called you sweet girl, it was something you’ve only ever been called by Steve.
But it felt wrong, blushing around him. It felt so wrong, but you couldn’t help it.
-
Steve came home, dropping his keys on the counter before coming to his room.
You looked up from reading your book, he waved the movie he had in hand grinning like the cat who’s got the milk.
You sit straight up, movie nights were your favorite. And since Steve worked at family video it happened quite often, he always got discounts on new movies they got in stock.
‘What movie is it!?’ you sprint from the bed, book long forgotten. He brings down the case to show you.
‘Raising Arizona?’ you question grabbing it and looking at it. Steve shrugged, getting out of his work clothes and into new ones.
He urges you out the door, you yelp turn towards him.
‘Idontgotanypantson’ you mumble, Steve looks down at you with a questioned look.
‘Sorry baby, what?’ he leaned down to hear you, he genuinely seemed like he didn’t hear you but you never knew with Steve.
‘i don’t have any pants on Steve.’ you state, trying to make it to where Eddie couldn’t hear. Steve just grins, perfect.
‘That’s alright,’ he says
‘wait what-‘
‘Hey Eddie!’ Steve calls out to Eddie who’s laying on the couch, to which Eddie looks up from the paper he was drawing on.
You go wide eyed squealing as you tried to turn around, only to be met with Steve solid figure. He turns you back around.
‘You don’t mind if sweet girl is only in her undies do ya?’ Steve asks, this makes you flush from head to toe.
‘Nope not at all’ Eddie says laughing, why were they joking!?
‘Good because poor baby girl here is just so comfortable in only her undies’ Steve said, you close you’re eyes in embarrassment.
this is not happening right now.
this is not happening right now.
this is not happening right now.
this is not happening right now.
You reluctantly let Steve lead you to the couch, when you made it to the couch your blush had appeared much more to Eddie.
‘I don’t think she liked you ratting her out Steven’ Eddie said grinning, and the name surprised you because it seemed so foreign.
‘She’ll get over it, right’ Steve says leaning down to look at you, you glare at him but just nod.
Steve urges you to sit, a little close to Eddie but it’s okay, you’re okay. He puts in the VHS, and presses play.
When he sits back on the couch, he pulls you closer to him until you’re on his lap. You felt watched, you didn’t like it.
But once the movie went on, you all sat comfortably. Three blankets spread across. Maybe an hour or so into the movie, you were already passed out.
‘She never makes it through movies’ Steve says grinning as he picked you up. You shift slightly in his hold before relaxing.
He brought you to the room, making sure you were comfortable and tucked in before he felt.
‘Do you think she’ll ever end up liking both of us?’ Eddie asked as soon as Steve closed the door.
‘She already does, she just thinks she’s cheating on me if she does anything with you’ Steve says, Eddie gets up from the couch walking to the kitchen.
‘So how are we supposed to make her think it’s not’ Eddie says, Steve walks over to the island sitting down.
‘I could talk to her, maybe if i say she’s aloud to i’m not sure’ Steve says.
-
‘PRINCESS!’ you were in the kitchen when Steve called you to his room, you turn around from your food and walk to the room.
‘Yeah’ you ask, he waved you over and you raise your eyebrow. You shut the door behind you walking over to him.
‘I gotta talk to you’ he says softly, you were becoming scared. He grabbed your waist pulling you down onto his lap.
‘Should i be scared’ you mumble, he grinned and just shook his head.
‘no of course not, unless you got something to tell me’ he laughs, you just shake you head no.
‘Ok so,’ he slaps his hand down on your thigh as he begins his talk.
‘I’ve noticed, that you get lonely when i’m at work. Locking yourself in my room, and don’t even lie i get told’ Steve says, you blush at that.
‘Well yeah i don’t really have anything to do while you’re gone’ you whisper looking down drawing circles on his jean covered thigh.
‘Which is why i’m making you a deal’ You look up at him in question.
‘a deal?’
‘Yes. I talked to Ed’s, and we both were talking about how devastating it must be, i mean i’m gone lots. So what i’m allowing you to do is when you miss me or need something you can go to Ed’s’ He explains slowly, you just stare at him in shock.
‘Wait… like anything?’ you ask, Steve nods.
‘Wouldn’t that be cheating?’ you mumble, Steve shakes his head no.
‘not if i’ve told you i’m okay with it, and i know it’s happening’ he says, you just sit there confused.
‘Why would you let me do things with Eddie? i’m doing quite fine being lonely’ you say, scared it was a test.
‘Sweet girl, i’m just saying you can you don’t have to’ he explains.
‘i know… i’m just confused’ you say softly, Steve just smiles.
‘Just know if you get… i don’t know needy? then you can go to Ed’s for help’ he said, you just stared at him.
‘really?’ Steve could hear the hint of excitement under what was a voice that you used to try and hide your real feelings.
‘Yeah, i feel bad that you don’t have someone to keep you busy’ he said, you just stare at him in thought.
‘I mean, i keep myself quite busy’ you say looking around realizing you had things left out from throughout the days.
‘I know you do. But like i said, you can you don’t have to’ he said, you just couldn’t wrap your head around it.
You knew he was giving you permission, you understand that. But what you didn’t understand was why he was giving it to you. Why would he want a different boy touching his girlfriend, having sex with his girlfriend. It didn’t make sense, but he said you could and you would.
Even though it felt so wrong, you just couldn’t help but like both the boys. Of course you leaned more to Steve, but if he started letting you do things with Eddie you knew you wouldn’t be able to stop.
-
Steve had left to work, and you felt scared to leave the room. You didn’t know if it would be the same between you and Eddie. Now that his friend told him it was okay to have sex with his girlfriend.
You finally exit the room to get some water, Eddie was at the island eating cereal.
‘Hey’ you whispered softly, Eddie looks up from his cereal bowl and smiles.
‘Hello’ he says, you grab out things to make your food.
The first two days were just awkward to say the least, but one night it broke.
‘Look sweet girl, i’m sorry i don’t want me to go either. But if i don’t my mother will make sure to make my life a living hell, i’ll only be gone two nights. You have ed’s’ He says, you sigh.
You knew you were clingy, especially with Steve. But it’s not your fault when he treated you so well and spoiled you. He gave into your clinginess.
-
Steve had moved outside of Hawkins after what had happened, he hated that town. It made his skin crawl. So when his mom asked him to come back and spend some time with family that was coming down it made his stomach drop.
He honestly just wished to cut off all cords with his mom, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it. It was harder than what it sounded like.
-
You laid in his bed, not able to go to sleep. You were spoiled, you slept each night in Steve’s arms ever since you got together.
You shuffled a bit in the bed before letting out a small whine. You huffed sitting up, walking to the bathroom. When you came back out you grabbed the small blanket that was on top of the big one, wrapping it around you and walking out the door.
Eddie was laid on the couch, peacefully asleep. You knew neither of them cared but it still made you feel guilty sleeping with another guy. Steve had told you over the past few days, he consisted on it actually. So you tried to calm yourself down, but before you could your feet were already bringing you to the couch.
You just wanted a good nights sleep, that’s all. You stood next to the couch for a moment, taking a deep breath. Looking back at the bedroom door, you almost just left back to the room until you heard Eddie move.
You looked back and he was half awake rubbing his eyes, looking up at you with squinted eyes. You just kinda stand there till you get embarrassed and mumble out words.
‘What?’ he asks sitting up on the couch, you play with the ends of the blanket nervously.
‘I can’t go to sleep’ you say keeping your eyes on the blanket. Eddie just eyes you, still half awake. Before it all registers in his brain, remembering Steve was gone and you were all alone in the bed.
He clears his throat scooting back on the couch, lifting up the blanket that was laid on him. Your heart stutters and you quickly join him before your mind second guess’ it.
And you actually felt comfortable, even though you hated Steve’s couch. Eddie brought the blanket back down onto both of you, pulling you closer so you weren’t hanging off the edge.
And your eyes start to drift off, the smell of Eddie surrounding you in the best way.
But you froze when Eddie began to do something Steve always did to help you sleep. He began to slowly rub his thumb back and forth over your hip.
It was some what like a turning page in your head, showing that Eddie and Steve weren’t that different. They both made you feel safe, they both gave you butterflies. And most of all they both made you feel loved.
You never knew you could feel loved by two people at the same time. It felt freeing, and it felt so good.
‘Steve told me, your guys’ deal’ you whispered, Eddie froze a bit.
‘Yeah?’ Eddie asked voice rough, you slightly nod.
‘I’ve never felt this way before’ you mumble, Eddie pulls his eyebrows together.
‘What do you mean sweet girl’ Eddie asked cautiously.
‘Loved, Steve made me feel loved just by himself but now you both make me feel loved.’ You say, Eddie stays silent for a moment.
‘That’s because we do love you y/n.’ he whispered, and it sounded surreal. It didn’t sound right in your ears.
To be wanted by Steve was a huge thing, but to be wanted by two people was hard to grasp.
‘You love me?’ you ask, Eddie hums.
‘Steve knows?’ you ask, Eddie sighs nodding.
‘Do you love us?’ Eddie asks before telling you, you think for a moment.
‘Yeah… yeah i guess i do, but i didn’t know i was allowed to’ you say, Eddie turns you to him.
‘Here’s the thing sweetheart, me and Steve also love each other. So, we all love each other.’ He explains, and it just makes sense. It was right, you loved both of them and they both loved you and each other.
‘I like that’ you say smiling, Eddie gives back a soft smile.
‘Me too’ he whispered, you stare at him hunger shown in your eyes.
‘am i allowed to kiss you’ you ask, Eddie chuckles at you.
And he answers by leaning down and giving you a kiss, you melt into him. He begins to get on top of you, pulling back to let you catch your breath before going back.
It felt so right, his hands on your hips while his soft lips guided yours. When he began to kiss down to your jawline, then your neck. You grabbed handfuls of his hair, whining.
Eddie grinned, pushing your head back so he could get access to that one spot Steve had told him about.
‘If you just get that one spot, she won’t be able to make coherent words’
When he sucked on it you gasped, your hips bucking.
Steve and you didn’t have sex very often, and when you did it was soft.
So when Eddie begin to bite and roughly hold your hips down, you gave a pout.
‘Why you pouting, hm?’ he asks, you grunt trying to move your hips.
‘You are being very impatient right now, Steve didn’t teach you how to behave?’ Eddie asks, you paw at his chest with a frustrated whine.
‘What?’ you ask breathlessly, the feeling of his mouth still lingering on your neck.
‘You get everything you want from Steve? He fuck you when you ask, and he lets you tell him what to do?’ Eddie says, you nod with a confused face.
‘So what i’m hearing is you are a spoiled thing’ he says grinning, you shake your head.
‘i’m not spoiled’ you protest, Eddie just laughs at you.
‘no? then why don’t you be a good girl and be patient, yeah?’ he says, and your insides twist at the tone of his voice. You nod your head.
His hands slid under your shirt making you shiver. You moan when his hands come over your bare breasts.
Eddie noticed how reactive you were to everything he was doing. It led him to think you didn’t get this as much as you should have. You’re eyes were blown wide, just wanting to please him.
‘Stevie doesn’t fuck you enough does he?’ He cooed, you whine shaking your head.
‘You poor thing’ he says with sarcastic sympathy, you pout.
He helps you take off your shirt, throwing it to the side. His fingers hook into the waist band of your pajama shorts, he leaves them there for a second to give you time to change your mind. You just lift your hips up in answer, he chuckles at you pulling down your shorts.
‘fuck, your soaking your little panties’ Eddie grinned when you blushed. You turn your head in embarrassment, he turns your head to meet his eyes. You hated making eye contact it killed you inside.
‘Got you embarrassed hm?’ he says, you roll your eyes trying to hide the fact that you were very much indeed embarrassed.
‘Oh? so you’ve got attitude’ he says, turning your chin roughly. Your eyes were so blown wide it made you even more harder to resist.
You shake your head, he just narrows his eyes.
‘You’d think you would be grateful, i’m being so nice to you sweet girl. I can be mean.’ He says making your eyes go wide.
mean?
‘Steve doesn’t get rough with you? does he baby you?’ Eddie says, slowly discarding your underwear.
You didn’t answer too distracted by his fingers being everywhere but where you wanted them.
‘You know, i wouldn’t buy you for the vanilla type,’ Eddie says, finger pressing into your entrance making you moan.
When his finger is fully seated in you, you grab hands full of his hair.
‘You don’t love the idea of me fucking you so hard to the point where you can’t even say your own name, you don’t want me to be mean to you while i give you pleasure?’ he says, you shake your head no but your insides tell you yes when you clench around his finger.
When his finger begins a pace you mewl, pushing your hips down. He then adds a second finger making you gasp.
Sure you’ve gotten way bigger, but just the way he was being rough had your mind spiraling.
‘Oh but you do like it rough, don’t ya princess?’ he asks, you don’t answer trying to stand your ground. You hated it when you weren’t right, especially about your own self.
He just laughs at you, because he knew he was right. He felt your pussy clench down on his fingers, he knew you liked it.
Soon his two fingers were pounding into you, and it felt so foreign. Steve was the one to take your virginity, and ever since all you’ve known is soft sex. So for Eddie to show you such roughness made you question why Steve has never done it, because quite frankly it felt so good.
The continuous hits of his fingers into you were making you go crazy. Your hips bucked up as you whine throwing your hands down to claw your hands into the couch.
‘i- i eddieeee’ you whine loosing your breath when he hits a particular spot.
‘ohmygod’ you try to keep your composure but you couldn’t, he was relentless.
‘Ah! just what i was looking for’ he grins, leaning down to kiss on your neck.
‘This is mean!’ you protest, he just laughs hot air fanning your neck.
‘You can tell me to stop, do you want me to stop?’ he says, you groan shaking your head.
‘Than shut up and be a good girl for me yeah?’ he says, and when your body shivers it gives him all the answers he needs.
You hadn’t even realized the tear that rolled down your cheek till he kissed it away. But you weren’t sad… just overwhelmed. The pleasure drew you so far you felt like you were floating.
And when he landed his thumb on your clit, you exploded. Eyes rolling back as you saw stars, thighs shaking. And small sobs erupting from you as you bask in the feelings you just went through.
When your brain was finally brought back to life you looked down and your eyes go wide.
did you pee?!?
You look up at Eddie in fear, he just pulls you up carrying you. You wince when he sits you on the bathroom counter.
‘Sorry baby’ it was so distant but it made you fuzzy on the inside nonetheless.
You meet his eyes your dazed stare making him smile. You gasp when you felt a warm rag drag up your folds. You were picked back up, and taken into Steve’s room. When you got in Eddie placed you down on the bed, walking off.
‘Where are you going!’ him walking you off snaps you out of your daze.
‘I’m just going to get you some clothes sweet girl’ he says, you sigh laying back down.
When he comes back he helps you put on one of Steve’s shirts and a pair of panties. You sigh when you get under the cold sheets, you grab his hand pulling him down with you. He laughs a little getting under the sheets with you.
Instead of it being awkward, this time you snuggle into him liking the warmth and comfort he radiated. He smiles to himself bringing you close, his arm wrapped tightly around you.
When his hand trails up under your shirt and starts to rub your back, his short nails grazing against your skin you melt into him.
‘Good night’ you whisper, he mumbles it back kissing your cheek.
And somehow, you end up falling asleep just as good as you would if it was Steve.
-
You woke up to the jingles of keys and the opening of the front door, but you were too lost in sleep to care.
But when you felt the dip of the bed and someone slid into it, the soft smell of cologne and lavender your senses were alarmed. You smile when kisses were laid on your cheek. You softly laugh when he begins to attack you with kisses.
‘What are doing home early, i thought you were staying for two nights’ you say, he rolls his eyes.
‘Yeah but you know me, i could never stay that long with my family and how they are’ he said annoyance filled in his voice. It wasn’t until then did you notice there wasn’t another body in the bed.
You turn to see the bed empty, you turn back to Steve and he laughs at you.
‘He’s in the kitchen, he told me all about last night eh?’ he grinned pulling you to lay on his lap. You blush looking away.
‘And he also told me,’ Steve begin sitting up with his back to the headboard, pulling you up with him.
‘That sweet girl, likes it rough’ Steve said it like he was a little kid saying a bad word. You giggle, and you make a mental note to cringe at yourself later. But you can’t help it, the two boys made you feel so giddy.
‘You are a dirty dirty girl’ Steve says edging on your embarrassment. You can’t stand looking in his eyes, nuzzling your face into his neck. He laughs rubbing up and down your back.
‘How come you didn’t tell me?’ he says, you groan more sounding like a whine.
‘because i didn’t even know!’ you say, looking up from his neck.
The door opened and you make a grunt when Eddie piled on top of both you and Steve. He laughs at the both of you, kissing your cheek as a sorry and tapping Steve’s head since his lips couldn’t get to him.
‘My little vanilla babies, have no idea how to have fun’ Eddie says grinning.
‘It’s all Steve’s fault!’ you say laughing when he gasps.
‘How is it my fault?!’ Steve says in defense.
‘I was a virgin when i got with you! you’re the only person i’ve ever been with, so you made me vanilla’ you say, using the word Eddie used even though you had no fucking idea what it meant.
‘ohhh yup, i think princess has point Harrington’ Eddie says, his dimples out.
‘The only reason i went Vanilla on you was because i was scared i was gonna hurt you, and you seemed to like it so i kept doing it’ Steve protests, Eddie rolls his eyes.
‘Boooo, lame excuse. If you just do it right, you can never hurt her. She’s a very strong little lady’ Eddie says, you smile looking back at Steve who was over you two.
‘You two have only been together for one night and you’re already ganging up on me?! what is this! i declare justice’ Steve says, you just laugh laying back down on his chest.
‘It’s okay Stevie, Eddie will just have to teach you right ed’s?’ And for the first time the nickname Steve has always called him slips out your mouth. It makes Eddie so giddy he nearly explodes.
‘Yeah, i sure can.’ he said proudly.
‘How about we start right now yeah? wanna be our prop sweet girl’ Eddie says getting up, you go wide eyed. You’ve never gotten two orgasms within 2 days, let alone within the span of 7 hours.
‘Oh my Ed’s what have you done to my princess, she has a look of terror’ Steve says, Eddie shakes his head.
‘No no no, that is not a look of terror. That is a look of pure joy and excitement, Stevie’ Eddie says, Steve looks back at you and your smirking.
‘What have you done to my precious baby’ Steve says, Eddie shoves his shoulder back into the bed.
‘Our precious baby’ Eddie corrects, and it makes your stomach churn.
Oh boy were you excited.
