London hasnt seen a case this high profile since the case of Harold Shipman, who killed up to 250 victims. Many feared this may be another case of Jack The Ripper, as they double checked their doors at night, hoping the serial killer wasn’t going to show up at their door. The relief that washed over the town when the police had finally caught the man whom they think is responsible for the latest killings of 20 men and women. The scenes were too graphic to show on tv.

Y/N ended up with the case. The crime scene photos were unnerving to her and interviewing the victims families made it even worse. Bile creeping up throat as she read the horrific things that happened to each victim. She wanted to know this case by the back of her hand, because of course she was up against one of the top defense attorneys in the country. He rather lost and found plot holes in every single case, having a 97% success rate with getting his clients off the hook and their record clear. She thought noone would pick up the mans case, there was so much evidence that pointed towards the man.

Harry was attractive, tall, dark hair and those piercing greenish hazel eyes. Y/N was nervous and she hated being that way. Harry often came by the law firm, having connections with anyone and everyone. His career was unmatched, he was handsome, wealthy, the whole package. Yet he was single and that blew Y/N’s mind.

Harry was just as shocked as Y/N to learn they’d facing each other in court. He was certain his client did it, but, he had to defend him anyways. He was called by the court to do it pro bono, as noone else wanted to take the case. If he lost, his numbers would certainly be impacted. If he won, people may look at him differently in a moral sense. Surely though there was a plot hole and the prosecution would slip up. He couldnt believe it was Y/N who got the case. Soft, shy, gorgeous Y/N. He already developed this small crush on her and now he had to take her on in court? Surely this wasnt a good thing. It had to be God punishing him for helping criminals and making a good living while doing so. Harry always viewed her as the more submissive type and his dirty thoughts were hard to keep at bay. Maybe that was the reason God was punishing him.

While Harry laid awake, staring at the ceiling, Y/N was doing the same. Y/N had never seen Harry in action, but, she’s heard how he’s always been strict and concise in the court room. His dominant side coming out, and that scared Y/N. Especially because she imagined him being dominant somewhere else, mainly at night when she lay in bed alone with her thoughts and hands.

You weren’t sure about this. You knew it would look kind of crazy but he wanted to see you again too, right? There you were, standing at Isaac’s front door. It’s not too crazy, right? You used to live here. Of course, you’d know the address. 

Nonetheless, you knocked on the door. You wanted to see him again. That day both of you caught up was… it was a lot but you didn’t have time to stay and were already emotional. It was a whole mess. 

“Hello? — Oh! Pickle?”

“Ah, I’m sorry. I know this is unexpected and I know you get anxious answering the door but I thought I’d see you again because I missed you and I hope you missed me…”

His shock was evident through the stare he gave you. He planned to see you again first, but here you were.

“Oh my,” You started to panic from his silence, “I’m sorry, I should’ve known better. I should’ve reached out before this–”

“It’s okay, Pickle. Come in.”

You walked through the door, hearing it close behind you. It felt weird to be back in this house. Though, it felt like home. 

“So,” He guided you to the couch as if you didn’t know where it was, “What brings you here?”

“You.”

“Like wanting to be with you…”

“Like … okay it sounds a bit crazy–”

“Don’t worry. I missed you too, Pickle. The house has been empty without your… clumsiness and prying.” He teased. 

If you didn’t feel embarrassed before, you do now. Not that that was Isaac’s intention. Never. You should’ve known that coming to his house and stumbling over your words would result in him winding you up. 

“So… that’s it. I’ll take my leave now–”

“You can stay.”

Isaac’s eager tone stopped you from getting up. As much as you wanted to get out of there and leave because of how awkward this felt, you couldn’t. Not when he sounded like that. 

You knew that he knew what he was doing. Like you had your little tricks, so did he. Using just the tone of his voice to make you stay—the sound of slight fear in his voice paired with excitement. He knew it would work on you, as it has before. And anyway, you couldn’t complain when you’d pull the exact stunts on him before.

“You can stay with me. Don’t you want to? That’s why you came here, right, Pickle?”

“Ugh,” You pouted, “You know me too well. Is that okay though? Me staying?”

“It would be a pleasure. Want me to make you some tea?” Isaac stood up and smiled. 

He was clearly excited about you staying (and his stupid mind game working on you).

“Well since you seem so eager, yes. Just because I don’t want to bring your mood down..”

He laughed from the kitchen,

“I missed you, Pickle! Don’t act like you don’t know that.”

“I missed you too.” 

But that one was kept to yourself. You knew he couldn’t hear that, you just wished the message got to him either way.

Nathan Explosion

Despite his fame, Nathan keeps his personal life a secret from the media — or well, as best as he can as one of the most famous men in the world. So in that sense, he kind of admires the anonymity you maintain. Or at least used to maintain, anyways.

He’s gotten sucked into the metal vs. not metal debate, and before seeing you perform, he absolutely lies on the latter half of the debate. But holy shit, talk about stage presence. He’s very proud of where Dethklok stands in a concert sense — seeing Dethklok is truly, a completely unforgettable experience — but Ghost is just… Brutal.

Performance-wise, he likes Year Zero the most — the first time he saw flames erupting over the stage, bathing you in hues of orange and white absolutely took his breath away. Any song where you get to shine is a favorite of his as well.

His favorite song overall is a toss up between Year Zero and Elizabeth, though. He likes the lyrical imagery of both, and really, what metal performer doesn’t have a soft spot for an song about Elizabeth Bathory?

He gets a bit jealous if you’re a little flirty on stage, especially because he can’t just swoop in to make his place clear, but he works through it.

He’s a little obsessed with the Era V outfits — don’t be too surprised if he gets a bit handsy when the mask comes off. Or before.

He fucking hates Plushia with a passion — he is convinced that its cursed, and will not allow him in the house.

Pickles the Drummer

Pickles LOVES Ghost once you introduce him, and not just because you’re in it. The very fun, in-your-face sexuality that comes with rituals is right up his alley, and the musical niche they fall into with regards to genre is just… Listen, he loves the heavy shit, but rock will always have a place in his heart.

Impera enjoyer till the end of his days. His favorite live song is Watcher in the Sky, both for the vibes and for how crazy you’re allowed to be on stage; however, he’s also rather partial to Mary on a Cross, for obvious reasons. It’s not his favorite musically, but he does think that the bit Papa does live is funny as fuck.

Assuming you’re a ghoul with a bit of movement, he likes to hang out with security so he can hit his vape and shotgun you from below. There are MANY videos of this circulating online, and you’ve gotta admit — it’s pretty hot. Sometimes he’ll indulge the rest of the ghouls if they try to jump on the train — he’s not greedy. Also, its funny.

He likes to suggest silly little bits to incorporate into future shows — whether or not they actually get through review is another thing, but he’s got some good ideas. He doesn’t mind if you get a bit flirty on stage either — hell, he thinks it’s hot as fuck, truth be told.

He always steals mummy bucks out of the cannons before they go off. Puts it in a money clip and everything, the bastard.

He thinks the military outfit is hot as hell, but also. You do look like a bug. And he won’t hesitate to rib you about it every now and then.

Misses Cowbell Ghoul every day of his life.

Skwisgaar Skwigelf

He loves how camp Ghost is — all of the bits really make the show fun, and he loves that humor is incorporated so well. After catching enough of your Rituals, he starts bugging Nathan to incorporate some sort of spin off the “go fuck yourself” bit, and let me tell you, he’s CLOSE to getting his way.

He absolutely made fun of you when the Era V outfits got revealed… and never stopped. He loves the Era III and IV outfits so much more all around, and will never let them go. (I’m so sure that he’d like it more if he could see past the mask, but he just can’t. Quit staring at him with them big ole eyes!!!)

He still insists on tightening the bolo for you before you go on stage, though. And he secretly saves all of the gifs and videos of you on stage to watch when he misses you. So… maybe the mask does grow on him a little bit, loathe as he is to admit it.

I don’t know how to tell you this, but he 100% develops this weird, pretty one-sided rivalry with Dew. Is it because of the man beneath the mask? Is it some weird lead guitarist thing? Is it because he gets to work with you on stage, and Skwisgaar doesn’t? He’ll never tell you, but either way, he shoots some vile glares his way whenever you two interact on-stage.

There’s one particular video of Dew flashing the “you suck” sticker at him, and Skwis just glaring up a storm in response.

His favorite songs to hear live are either Mummy Dust or Cirice, and he always tries to coax you over to flirt with him a bit… and he’s usually successful He might be in the crowd at barrier, but he’s managed to cement himself as a staple of every ritual. Go figure.

(People online always complain about the giant at barrier though, please convince him to hang with security under the guise of sneaking kisses or something. People are So Sick of his tall ass, even if he does add to the show.)

Toki Wartooth

Ghost ticks so many boxes for Toki, so needless to say, he is ecstatic that you get to work with such a cool act!

His favorite album is a hard tie between Opus Eponymous and Prequelle, funnily enough. The former reminds him of his early days in metal, but he loves the overall vibes of Prequelle — very hard to choose between the two, for him.

After you introduced him to Ghost through your work, he actually delved a bit deeper, and got obsessed with Repugnant. He 100% prods you into prodding Mr. Toblerone Frog into doing more death metal stuff.

He absolutely makes bracelets to trade with fans — getting a bracelet made by Toki quickly becomes as legendary as getting a ghoul pick. Although there’s always exactly one bracelet per show that he makes with one of your spare picks that he hands out to one special person.

He has your ringtone set to If You Have Ghosts :’) He also very much loves the Ghesties bit, and there’s a nonzero chance that he’s changed your contact to be a gh- prefix of some sweet little petname he has for you.

His favorite song is easily Dance Macabre — both live and off the stage! This only doubles after the events of LA.

He saves mummy dust and confetti from every show that you do, and keeps it in his scrapbook.

He thinks the Era V outfit is really cute. You DO look like a bug… but you’re his bug :)

He has been begging for ghoul plushies since he started dating you; although, he is very happy to own a little Plushia. He thinks he’s cute.

William Murderface

Like Nathan, he has also gotten into online debates about whether or not Ghost is metal — except he takes the opposite position of Nathan. Ghost is metal as fuck to him. Listen, you don’t go on stage in front of that many people, make fun of God and everyone who worships him, and come out not being metal. Like the Satanism bit is whatever, but having the balls to go and make fun of that many people on stage? Metal.

He thought the old outfits were really boring, but he is nothing short of obsessed with Era V — for both you and Papa alike. He desperately wants a replica of Papa’s military jacket.

His favorite album overall is probably Infestissumam, but he’s also partial to Opus Eponymous. He’s been begging you to get talk Trickery Feet into getting Idolatrine on the setlist since you got him into Ghost — hell, if he ever gets the motivation to actually record Planet Piss, he’d love to do a cover of it.

Although his favorite songs to see live are probably either Mummy Dust or — after the LA show — Twenties. Twenties slides in very quick as his number one after the LA show.

AAAAAA ask away about her anyways!!! i saw a cool metalocalypse fankid made by @goblin-a-gogo !! goblin's oc, Lasagna, is a really REALLY COOL fankid and i got a bunch of inspiration from Lasagna to make Poppy!!

i like making fankids for characters i like because it gives me a better way to understand a character, specifically typical fail men characters. idk WHY it is something i like but i adore creating fankid and ocs! to me its funny and interesting to place a character in a situation where like "hey pal guess what you're a dad now also you gotta face your trauma from your own childhood and see it happen similarly to your own child!" and lately poppy's been the oc i've liked the most!!

when the metalocalypse movie army of the doomstar released, i got a huge BOOM of motivation for making stuff about poppy and revamping a lot of her character!! (i guess it doesn't help my adhd hit me with the hyperfixation stick and ive been super into slavic languages and culture and such*) a great impact in my art and character making comes from a series of songs called "Parties are for Losers" by Ferry!! something about their art, their music, the way it captures that specific underground concrete street Vibe i love!! cuz of that, ive dug deep into her character and change poppy to being belarusian instead of being canadian and taken a different route for her character.

(*i hope that doesn't come across as fetishization bc i understand that i am an american midwesterner and i do not live in that part of the world nor is it something to exactly gush over and the fact russia is a terror state and ik belarus isnt better either and i do make sure to do my research!! and if it is i am really sorry!! also support ukraine or else)

poppy was made bc i love metalocalypse and i really like pickles the drummer a lot and i love making characters parallels and foils to each other to bring out the best and the worst in each other. although poppy's backstory is a bit harsher than what i originally wrote lol which i do plan on writing in full at some point!!

hello, open air! how are u doing?

i am in a bit of a pickle here in and i am hoping that venting to tumblr will make me feel better. so i have been seeing this guy, and just for my own record and anyone who might be listening let me explain how we got here.

i wanna spare u the personals so let's make this quick. i'm 20, as of writing this, and my ex (who i just broke up with a week ago) is 33. before u say "raon wtf that is not healthy" i know. that relationship was a form of self harm bc i am addicted to my own chaos. most ppl need some form of chaos, they find it in trashy guilty pleasure reality shows, or maybe they have a friend who is annoying sometimes and they indulge in that. i need personal chaos. i like when my life is off of the rails, however, it is detrimental to my mental health. and before u say "raon u said ur gonna be quick", i did! but,,, this ties into something later.

anyways, the day after we broke up i met this guy. lets call him sam. he comes up to me on the bus and hits on me. he was smooth and it was nice. i give him my insta and my number. we start talking and he's great! like everything i've wanted in past relationships. he's affectionate, an amazing communicator, and very relatable. and literally my type.

he is all i'm looking for. and it feels weird. maybe i am seeing him for him and actually learning him instead of lusting, which would be so fucking pathetic LMAO. or even though he's a great guy he's not a great guy for me. or or or back to my earlier point!!! he's perfect for me and i am addicted to toxic, chaotic relationships bc i cannot enjoy myself in a little bit of peace. i want something to go wrong esp when it comes to another person. that's all ive known and seen. my mom has had hard relationships and i've been in some bad ones myself. but now that someone treats me like a human, i'm baffled. and the 33 year old, he was terrible. lived in a shitty motel and smoked a pack a day. told me how to spend my money when he smoked away his. i was blessed enough to afford a trip to texas and he told me i was young and stupid. you see how it's proof of how much i'm addicted to romantic chaos even though it kills me. that's what i mean, i think for once i am the god damn problem.

(one last spur of the moment typing from roan getting upset and remembering things: "we shared locations and i realized he has a bunch of ppl in his find my (iphone's location app). i literally want to throw up. is he just talking to a bunch of girls and i am just another girl in the roster running the race for his heart. bc what in the brent fucking faiyaz???")

my top three favorite fallout oc's ive created

pickles (not the drummer):

bare with me, i made him way before i got obsessed with metalocalypse. anyway, he's pre-war (similar to sole survivor), but instead of cryo sleep...he was stuck in a vat of some weird preservative liquid that just so happened to have vinegar as base. so it messed up his eyes and now he smells like pickles (hints his name).

he was stuck in the vault with his grandpa (who, unfortunately, didn't make it). he was pretty young when he went in and technically still young when he got out (7 going in, 9 upon getting to dc from missouri).

(i plan around modding him into fo3/fo4) his story starts around fallout 3. by the time he gets out of the vault (age 9, with the help of a miss nanny bot who went against her programming and sacrificed herself to help him), he finds his way to little lamp light and works alongside eclair, where he became a sort of mixologist (cave water virgin mimosa's anyone?) by the time he's 16 (post fo3) he makes his way to underworld and becomes their new bartender. most of the ghouls adore him, he's a sweetheart with that southern charm, doesn't even matter he's not a ghoul.

about a year or two later, he decides he needs adventure, so he travels with quinn and ends up in Boston. if he does get modded in, you'll meet him by a cave which triggers a quest called "The Deathclaw, The Bartender, & The Cave" (The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe). longstory short, he befriended a deathclaw runt.

yea, so minx goes along with my starlight revamp (which turns starlight drive-in into a sort of red light district fit with an arena). minx, a ghoul, runs the show.

this is also where pickles (eventually) ends up (in the bar of the starlight arena, which he calls "The Melting Pot")

anyways, im not revealing too much (as i said, i want to mod them in, pickles' was more revealing only bc he'd be a companion)

spicy cucumber quick 'pickles'.

however many cucumbers. english or mini ones seem to work well for this, because of the slightly firmer texture.

1 part soy sauce

3 parts rice vinegar, white distilled is acceptable if you prefer. adjust mixture to your taste. powdered vinegar is extremely effective here but i personally dont use it.

sesame oil to taste.

chili oil or cayenne pepper to taste.

obscene amount of sesame seeds, toasted dark. the kind you can buy pre-toasted will work fine, but you should toast them more anyway.

worcestershire sauce for a subtle black pepper flavor. dont leave this out, but dont put too much. unless you want to. i added this on a whim one time and i feel it works far far better than oyster sauce in this context, due to being kind of tart which prevents diluting the vinegar flavor.

green onions can be added, if you like. i love green onions but not in this.

slice cucumbers to your preference, i like a variety of cuts for this. big or small pieces are okay, i find myself doing thin slices at an angle to give me long sheets. big chunks will retain more cucumber taste, naturally.

place cucumbers in a bowl or strainer and salt heavily. begin toasting sesame seeds, paying careful attention. you want to take these right up to burnt but stop before they actually burn. dont leave them in the pan, they'll totally finish burning.

rinse cucumbers after about 7-ish minutes in the salt. the longer you leave them the softer they will get. they continue to soften in the liquid, but slower. the primary purpose of the salting is to lessen the amount of water the cucumbers will release into your sauce. secondly they will retain the salt inside themselves meaning the soy sauce is primarily for color. you can sub dark soy sauce but personally i dont want this to look that dark.

make your sauce according to your preferences. this dish is best if it's just a bit too spicy for you, if you use cayenne pepper the water will dilute it so dont worry if you initially add too much. chili oil is a good way to do this dish because it doesnt mix in. but if you add too much you'll have to let the mixture separate and skim it off the top.

place in tupperware, lid on. shake. if you added enough sesame seeds you'll note that the oil seems to have disappeared. the sesame seeds like to make an unstable emulsification in the concentration that i add them in. if you use less you may not end up with this effect, ive had this either way and it's good both ways. but if your oil remains separate and you choose to use chili oil, it may be hard to actually get any chili oil in a bite.
