Perhaps a hot take but I would actually prefer if Eddie’s story ended at S8 with him deciding to prioritize his son and stay in El Paso. It would be even better if Eddie wants to return to LA but decides, again, that Christopher is more important than his own wants and ultimately stays in Texas with him. And because I’m so ✨media literate✨ I think that would be a satisfying conclusion to Eddie’s character arc, which has always revolved around Christopher.

And if I’m being real, Eddie’s SLs have stagnated. The most interesting and satisfying one he has had recently has been when he was in El Paso reconnecting with Christopher. I would rather he go out on a SL like that rather than rehash the same SLs for another season.

And it would leave the door open for Ravi to finally be a main. If the show really does need a shot in the arm (as TM has implied it does after Bobby’s death), making Ravi a main would be a smart move. While Ravi is not a new character, we still don’t know a lot about him, and that creates so so many new story opportunities that are just not possible with the other mains who we’ve been watching for the past 8 seasons and are now more or less “stuck” in their arcs. And the audience already knows him so he wouldn’t be a completely new character that they would have to adjust to being on the team (and potentially not like). And he can take on the Single Guy Role that would be left open by Eddie leaving and Buck settling down.

+ I think there's something comforting about two artists creating together. For context he's a pianist and I, an artist. He plays the piano and I listen to the melody as a draw. It's heartwarming really, to know that just on the other side of my computer screen someone else is doing something they're passionate about, and that they're doing it alongside me. Both artists with different mediums but ultimately their goal is the same, to share this piece of their soul with each other.

Okay so you guys are just gonna have to trust me on this one. This came from an(other) anon source since the link on Way Back Machine is dead. This was published to Ves's YouTube channel on July 15, 2012. The description said something along the lines of this (basing it off memory, it's very loose):

I wrote this song about the idea that humans have evolved beyond our means. We suffer implications due to our sentience and awareness of our world, which leads us to questions we cannot answer. Animals are programmed to fear death but they probably aren't aware of its inevitability, where humans most certainly are, but are totally powerless to stop it.
