Welcome to
Artemis reads:

(JONATHAN IS BACK!!!!!)
"Then write now, my young friend," he said, laying a heavy hand on my shoulder: "write to our friend and to any other; and say, if it will please you, that you shall stay with me until a month from now."
"Do you wish me to stay so long?" I asked, for my heart grew cold at the thought.
I want to personally stake him through the heart actually
and besides, while Count Dracula was speaking, there was that in his eyes and in his bearing which made me remember that I was a prisoner, and that if I wished it I could have no choice. The Count saw his victory in my bow, and his mastery in the trouble of my face, for he began at once to use them, but in his own smooth, resistless way:—
While reading, externally, I was calmly sitting in a café, reading on my phone.
Internally, I was (and still am) turning the Count into a pincushion.
One of the letters was directed to Samuel F. Billington, No. 7, The Crescent, Whitby, another to Herr Leutner, Varna; the third was to Coutts & Co., London, and the fourth to Herren Klopstock & Billreuth, bankers, Buda-Pesth.
Oh, I wonder what sort of importance these people might have in the future. Which ones might be there just to fill names and which ones might actually appear.
"Let me advise you, my dear young friend—nay, let me warn you with all seriousness, that should you leave these rooms you will not by any chance go to sleep in any other part of the castle. It is old, and has many memories, and there are bad dreams for those who sleep unwisely. Be warned! Should sleep now or ever overcome you, or be like to do, then haste to your own chamber or to these rooms, for your rest will then be safe.
Oh, gee, I wonder what could be so dangerous about going to sleep around the castle. Surely Jonathan isn't going to fall asleep on a couch partly just to spite Dracula.
I quite understood; my only doubt was as to whether any dream could be more terrible than the unnatural, horrible net of gloom and mystery which seemed closing around me.
I love this man far too much for my own good, how am I gonna withstand the later entries when just this sentence makes me feel so bad for him.
Jonathan Harker why are you so lovable aghhhhhhh
I am beginning to feel this nocturnal existence tell on me. It is destroying my nerve. I start at my own shadow, and am full of all sorts of horrible imaginings. God knows that there is ground for my terrible fear in this accursed place!
I knew this was gonna start affecting his psyche sooner or later
I looked out over the beautiful expanse, bathed in soft yellow moonlight till it was almost as light as day. In the soft light the distant hills became melted, and the shadows in the valleys and gorges of velvety blackness. The mere beauty seemed to cheer me; there was peace and comfort in every breath I drew.
Yes, yes, grab whatever shred of happiness and joy you can find, and hold onto it, kicking and screaming if you have to, because you're going to need it, my friend.
As I leaned from the window my eye was caught by something moving a storey below me, and somewhat to my left, where I imagined, from the order of the rooms, that the windows of the Count's own room would look out.
Is this. Is this what I think it is. Oh my god I completely forgot today was Lizard Fashion Day
What I saw was the Count's head coming out from the window. I did not see the face, but I knew the man by the neck and the movement of his back and arms. [...]
But my very feelings changed to repulsion and terror when I saw the whole man slowly emerge from the window and begin to crawl down the castle wall over that dreadful abyss, face down with his cloak spreading out around him like great wings. [...]
I saw the fingers and toes grasp the corners of the stones, worn clear of the mortar by the stress of years, and by thus using every projection and inequality move downwards with considerable speed, just as a lizard moves along a wall.
LIZARD FASHION DAY.
I was at first interested and somewhat amused, for it is wonderful how small a matter will interest and amuse a man when he is a prisoner.
Also this line 😭 Jonathan please stop making me sad The HorrorsTM haven't even properly started yet
What manner of man is this, or what manner of creature is it in the semblance of man? I feel the dread of this horrible place overpowering me; I am in fear—in awful fear—and there is no escape for me; I am encompassed about with terrors that I dare not think of…
screams into the abyss
Not to worry, my newest blorbo going through SituationsTM is causing me no stress whatsoever.
Anyway on a completely different note, I need you all to know that if Dracula has haters, I am one of them. If Dracula has one(1) hater, I am them. If Dracula has no haters, I am dead. That is all. Thank you.

Note
1) His hair adds 3 inches” keeps popping into my head at random and I cannot stop laughing about it
2) Artemis feels like a large dog who could make you find out if you messed around but honestly? Has better things to do. Meanwhile Apollo feels like one of those little terriers who wants to take your face off but can’t reach and settles for stealing kneecaps instead and is always really keyed up for no discernible reason.
Your celestial twins are bringing me feral joy, I want you to know! And I love your Jonathan and Mina too. (Tbh. I’ve yet to not enjoy anyone you grace us with, but I feel like I must get annoying saying it all the time 😅)
Tumblr media
artemis is some sort of celestial deer/wolf/doberman and apollo is a mix between a terrier, a chihuahua, and a dust bunny
i love jonathan and mina, anyone who makes jonathan a jerk so that dracula becomes the hero is not welcome in my house
and not at all, i love reading all your inbox mail! i’d respond to everyone if i could, but then my blog would just be 99 percent appreciation posts for u guys

This is my brain right now...
Tumblr media
...and I've been writing in four different fics for three different fandoms. Today's snip is from The Passage of Distant Stars...
Cait braced herself before turning, knowing what she'd see. It still wasn't enough; Sam in one of his relaxed leans against the wall, looking devastatingly handsome in t-shirt and jeans damn near stopped the breath in her throat. "Comfortable?"
"Mmm-hmm. Like they were made for me." He eyed her up and down; she'd expected something of the sort, and managed not to outwardly react. "So tell me, you invite every Starborn that comes in here for dinner and a drink, or am I special?"
"Oh, you're special," Cait admitted, and took some small amusement in his well-hidden surprise. Well-hidden from anyone but her, that is. "And yes, I keep those in there for someone like you." She could smell the paprika now, mingled with the other scents, sharp and just this side of acrid. She grabbed the bowl of chicken and started adding it to the pan. "But I don't invite every person, Starborn or not, in for dinner. Most of them just want to go straight through. Others," she glanced at him as he came over to lean against the fridge, "I want to go straight through. There's usually a few, though. People I've known, one way or another. People who need a little reassurance before making the jump." The tomatoes followed the chicken and she gave the whole thing a vigorous stir, then set a timer.
"I'm in that first group, I suppose," he said, a little whimsically. "Damn, that smells good! What is it?"
"Paprika Hendl," she replied. "Cora ever make you read her Dracula?"
A fond expression crossed Sam's face. "Sure did. In more than one 'verse." He chuckled. "Her and those books."
Cait couldn't hold back a chuckle of her own. "In my universe, I gave it to her." She laughed a little more softly, caught by the memory. "Gave her every book I could find, just to see the smile on her face. It was like to drive her father crazy some days." She caught a shift in his emotions, like a cloud pulling its veil across the sun. She cast him a quick glance, and his smile had turned melancholy. "I'm—"
"Nah," he interrupted. "No need to apologize. That was my—Lila—in a nutshell." Wryly, "I've gotten used to looking at another me from the outside. In a weird sort of way, it's good to know I'm loved, even if it's at a remove." He looked like he was going to elaborate on that, but instead took a deep breath and nodded at the pan. "So what's that have to do with Dracula?"
She accepted his silent request to change the subject. "Ah, yeah. It's the meal Jonathan Harker has before he gets to Castle Dracula. Traditional Central European dish. Supposed to be served with slivovitz—that's a plum brandy—but I'm not much for hard alcohol, so we'll have to make do with wine."
"Works for me," he drawled. "So how come I've never heard of this—Paprika Hendl?"
"Now that's something interesting," Cait said, gesturing him to join her at the kitchen island. (Multiple jumps and she still could not understand why Sam always blocked the fridge when she was cooking.) "Before we jumped, Cora and I had a theory that we wouldn't see a lot of big changes in the universes we went through, at least not the first few times. The idea was that as we started out from our own universe, we'd go through some 'close' universes, where the differences that made them were pretty minimal."
"Right. The—uh—butterfly effect, I think Cora called it." Sam leaned on the island across from her, eyes bright with interest and a sharp-edged curiosity shivering around him.
"Right," she nodded. "We figured it would be hard to change the big events, the ones that had lots of decisions going into them and lots of consequences coming out of them. But small things, things that don't matter much in the long run, or only to a very few people—those we expected to see a wide variety in." She cracked an egg with a flourish. "Turns out, recipes are one of those small things. Someone remembers their grandmother's recipe book, another leaves theirs behind…" A second egg. "Once I figured that out, I started looking. Found this one three, maybe four jumps back." A third egg joined the others in the dimpled flour; she gave it enough of a stir to break up the yolks, then carefully poured in some water and stirred that in, as well. "I thought maybe I could share them across timelines. Restore a little of Terra's lost heritage where I went."
He stared at her in disbelief as she took a heavy spoon and started beating the egg-flour mixture. "Hell, you have got to be the least Starborn Starborn I've ever run into. Most Starborn I've run into don't have the time of day for history. Or the people around them."
"That's the problem," Cait said absently, feeling for that moment when the dumpling batter came together. "In their search for power, they've forgotten everything that makes them human. Unity asks for part of your humanity when you go through, to give to the universe you leave behind. If you don't restore what's left of yourself, what happens when you run out?"
Sam stared at her, mouth all but agape, for several long moments. "Jesus, you're dangerous," he finally said, sounding half-awed. "No wonder they all want you dead."
She lifted the spoon and watched a clump of batter fall back into the bowl. Just about ready. "They want me dead because I don't play their game." She gave him a sardonic look. "Don't tell me I should knuckle under to a psychopath and his enabler."
"Of course not!" he countered. "But the Hunter's bad enough news that I'd pick my fights with him real careful. I ain't going out there punching a—a—terrormorph in the nose, either!"
Cait couldn't suppress a smirk. "Oh, I don't know, some terrormorphs are downright friendly compared to the Hunter and his followers." She moved back to the stove and started dropping batter into boiling water.
"Okay," he said, voice reflecting his bemusement, "You are officially weird."

Audio Drama Sunday - 30th July ✨
Another great week of audio drama has kept my brain busy while my data collection is less busy. Happy Audio Drama Sunday, please allow me to share my favourites!
SPOILERS!!
🌲 @hellofromthehallowoods (127) Oh NO Mrs Wicker get your children away from that Church!!!! I love to hear the J-sibs starting to push back against her, long may it continue! I'm also still obsessed with the Raven-Writing Desk dynamic and it's only going to get juicier when Mr Writing Desk actually wants to follow Penny’s demands… And Danielle!! I love that she still gets to be an active help in the mission to the North in a way that doesn’t feel like deus ex machina because it’s just her.
🎞 Tiny Terrors (022) this episode had me yelling ‘what’s the catch?!?!?’ internally and I’ve just seen that the wait is over to listen to the other side of the tape!! Angela, what are you??
🌍 @lastechoespod (7) As some of you may know. . . I am a huge fan of Drs in Space. This episode had me gripped, those poor people 😭 What a cruel scare tactic from the Collected for that to be played to the people trying to decide whether to join. I’m so tense to hear what the final archival selection is going to be!
🧛‍♂️ @re-dracula Things are TENSE aboard the Demeter. Even in <60s of audio, the creeping dread is so palpable. And Mina, sweet Mina! So thrilled to have her back! Listening rather than reading has makes it so much easier to parse the long, chunky sections describing Whitby!! I have high hopes that I'm going to stick with it to the very end this time.
💫 Wolf 359 (24-32) Oh fuck. I am so glad I have all the episodes to listen to at once. I could NOT have dealt with the wait between seasons. Ep 30, Mayday, is possibly one of the coolest things I’ve ever heard. I love that feeling of rooting for a character so hard that you forget that they don’t really exist and that you know they make it because there are another 30 eps of the show left. And the new characters - Kepler, Jacobi, Maxwell - wow, I LOVE to hate them. They’re fantastic in the worst way.
🎩 @ethicstownpod (5) Things got a little creepy on the emergency broadcast this week. Memory is created as it is recalled?? What?? My mind is boggled. I’m very excited to hear how this, and what seems to be a growing discomfort between January and Artemis, plays out in the next episodes!
🥾@doyoucopypod (3) Now. Hear me out. I know that being stuck up in a radio tower all day has got to be boring but I do think there might be a better time to flirt with your colleague than when 3 people are missing in a place called the ‘Dead Zone’ where strange ecological events are occurring . . . Just me?? Have I got the braincell here??? I’m so excited for these shenanigans to get even spookier.
🏴‍☠️ Yeah. I listened to @levianpod again. What are you going to do? Support their crowdfunder? Good. Do it.
🎧 Such an interesting episode of The First Episode Of with @wirelandranch! The wireland vibes have always been immaculate and it’s so interesting to learn about where it came from and why it’s an amalgamation rather than a straight-up audio drama.
🐬 Described as a weird mystery, @patterspod is exactly that. It’s batshit in the best possible way. Perhaps I hang out with strange people, but the main character is so normal in his weirdness, I feel like most people know a guy like Ryan even though Ryan is a liar ghostwriter trying to hunt down his thieving EX-boss with ?paranormal connections. It’s great stuff.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend! My goal is to have season two of the show written by the start of August . . . So I should stop writing this and get to writing that . . . Right? Okay.

i didnt reblog any book/reading meme but i did wanna ramble about books i read this year, and by that i mean NEW books. what are new books i read this year?
I DEVOURED the murderbot diaries. I had seen mutuals blogging about them but wasnt super motivated until i went to a school game night and someone recommended them to SOMEONE ELSE and sold them as "short! the audiobooks are only 4hrs!" and i was like ok i can dedicate that much brainpower! and DAMN if there is an audio equivalent of "couldnt put a book down" that was me with murderbot. The vague capitalist hellscape setting (literally an area of space called the Corporation Rim... like. shudders...), the dry humor! the space adventures!!!
i re-discovered The Memoirs of Lady Trent. an earth-like world in the equivalent of the Victorian/Edwardian era but with dragons and written as journals of a dragon naturalist who has Main Character Syndrome (makes all the big discoveries, sometimes on accident), but also deserves it because she has the gumption to put herself into the positions to earn shit. anyways its grand.
obviously i read Dracula. and like many folks on tumblr discovered that its a classic for a reason, it really is a quality little horror story.
I... think i read The Last Human (in a crowded galaxy) last year but im putting it on the list bc ITS REALLY GOOD, again the humor, the unique perspectives of the non-human characters and the worldbuilding (or should i say... galaxy building!!!!) top notch. Its not as cute as the webcomic but its more mature and just as full of humor (though the humor is a little more dark at times). I actually enjoyed it more than the webcomic (the webcomic is a prequel to the book btw), but i LOVE both so that says how much i LOVE the book!
also re-read the temeraire books and artemis fowl series a few times LOL. both series get better with every read-through (or... listen... since again i was listening to books not reading).

Welcome to
Artemis reads:
Tumblr media
If there were any one to talk to I could bear it, but there is no one. I have only the Count to speak with, and he!—I fear I am myself the only living soul within the place.
Don't worry Jonathan, you can say that the Count is real fucking weird, nobody's gonna judge you
I had hung my shaving glass by the window, and was just beginning to shave. Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder, and heard the Count's voice saying to me, "Good-morning." I started, for it amazed me that I had not seen him, since the reflection of the glass covered the whole room behind me.
Okay but like, this always makes me wonder. Why do vampire clothes not appear in the reflection? Sure, the vampire doesn't have a reflection, but why is that the same with his clothes? I know that outside of the book it is to make scenes like this possible, but all I can imagine is Dracula just. Being naked. Which is not a mental image I want
The whole room behind me was displayed; but there was no sign of a man in it, except myself. This was startling, and, coming on the top of so many strange things, was beginning to increase that vague feeling of uneasiness which I always have when the Count is near;
STAB HIM! STAB HIM WITH THE RAZOR! STAB THE INCREASINGLY WEIRDER OLD MAN THAT HAS NO REFLECTION
I drew away, and his hand touched the string of beads which held the crucifix. It made an instant change in him, for the fury passed so quickly that I could hardly believe that it was ever there.
Thank you thank you thank you, a million thank yous to the innkeeper lady that gave the crucifix to him
"Take care," he said, "take care how you cut yourself. It is more dangerous than you think in this country."
Yeah, it's just the country, sure. Not the guy with fangs and no reflection.
Then seizing the shaving glass, he went on: "And this is the wretched thing that has done the mischief. It is a foul bauble of man's vanity. Away with it!" and opening the heavy window with one wrench of his terrible hand, he flung out the glass, which was shattered into a thousand pieces on the stones of the courtyard far below. Then he withdrew without a word.
-Enter your guest's bedroom
-Have no reflection
-Startle him as he shaves, causing him to cut himself
-Blame the mirror, calling it a foul bauble of man's vanity
-Defenestrate it
-Don't elaborate
-Leave
It is very annoying, for I do not see how I am to shave, unless in my watch-case or the bottom of the shaving-pot, which is fortunately of metal.
Please, Jonathan I love you but there are more important things than how you're gonna shave
It is strange that as yet I have not seen the Count eat or drink. He must be a very peculiar man!
"He must be a very peculiar ma-" JONATHAN HE HAS NO REFLECTION
But I am not in heart to describe beauty, for when I had seen the view I explored further; doors, doors, doors everywhere, and all locked and bolted. In no place save from the windows in the castle walls is there an available exit.
The castle is a veritable prison, and I am a prisoner!
Okay, finally. I had almost lost all faith in you. You're still on thin ice though.
Of one thing only am I certain; that it is no use making my ideas known to the Count. He knows well that I am imprisoned; and as he has done it himself, and has doubtless his own motives for it, he would only deceive me if I trusted him fully with the facts. So far as I can see, my only plan will be to keep my knowledge and my fears to myself, and my eyes open.
Yes yes yes yes! He now knows something! Don't tell him shit Jonathan!!
I am, I know, either being deceived, like a baby, by my own fears, or else I am in desperate straits;
No no no perish the thought. You will not gaslight yourself into thinking you're paranoid
He did not come at once into the library, so I went cautiously to my own room and found him making the bed. This was odd, but only confirmed what I had all along thought—that there were no servants in the house.
Once, again, this is so funny to me please. (At least he's making Jonathan's bed, I guess?)
This gave me a fright, for if there is no one else in the castle, it must have been the Count himself who was the driver of the coach that brought me here.
Jonathan you're killing me c'mon you're smarter than this. How are you only now realising this
This is a terrible thought; for if so, what does it mean that he could control the wolves, as he did, by only holding up his hand in silence. How was it that all the people at Bistritz and on the coach had some terrible fear for me?
Okay yeah. Fair. But still
What meant the giving of the crucifix, of the garlic, of the wild rose, of the mountain ash? Bless that good, good woman who hung the crucifix round my neck! for it is a comfort and a strength to me whenever I touch it.
Yes bless her and bless all the people on the coach and everyone that trued their hardest to save this man they didn't know please I know none of their names but I love them all so so much
In the meantime I must find out all I can about Count Dracula, as it may help me to understand. To-night he may talk of himself, if I turn the conversation that way. I must be very careful, however, not to awake his suspicion.
Yes good, good know thy enemy. Also maybe don't stay up till dawn this time? Maybe catch some Zs while it's still dark? Please?
In his speaking of things and people, and especially of battles, he spoke as if he had been present at them all.
Wow. Such weird. What could that possibly mean? Nothing strange , I'm sure!
It was by this time close on morning, and we went to bed.
I'm going to strangle him

book list 2023 📚
i read 21 books this year! i also read 21 books in 2022 LOL
as usual, my reading slowed down in the second half of the year (15/21 were done in the first six months...), so i'm going to work to avoid that in 2024. i think that part of the slow down was because i was reading larger books, but that definitely didn't account for all of it.
i'm going to aim for 24 read books in 2024! it's a nice number match AND it'll be two a month, which i think is totally achievable. i'm looking forward to it!
below is the list of books i read in 2023 (in chronological order of starting them)! ratings and reviews can be given on request :) fiction is in red, nonfiction/self-help is in blue, and fantasy is in purple
legends and lattes (travis baldree)
renegades (marissa meyer)
project hail mary (andy weir)
billy summers (stephen king)
counting by 7s (holly goldberg sloan)
essentialism (greg mckeown)
she's gone (david bell)
archenemies (marissa meyer)
supernova (marissa meyer)
vicious (v.e. schwab)
vengeful (v.e. schwab)
so much pretty (cara hoffman)
lifespan (david a sinclair)
grace (maggie gee)
because you'll never meet me (leah thomas)
the ones we burn (rebecca mix)
the naming (alison croggon)
the riddle (alison croggon)
the crow (alison croggon)
the measure (nikki erlick)
AUDIO: i'm glad my mom died (jennette mccurdy)
..... can you tell i like books with magic? LOL
i also started two other audiobooks (dracula and down the drain), but didn't get past the first chapter in either yet
my favorite new reads of this year were probably the books of pellinor by alison croggon (so excited to read the last book!) - i'd had them sitting on my bookshelf for YEARS and finally cracked them open. i also really loved project hail mary; i so admire andy weir's writing, and need to get my hands on the book i haven't read by him (i think it's called artemis). the measure and so much pretty were also really interesting, and i absolutely loved the ones we burn - gosh, i can't choose!
my favorite rereads were because you'll never meet me (one of my favorite books EVER; i need to get my hands on the sequel) and the villainous duology!!
looking forward to a literature-filled 2024 - leave recommendations below if you'd like!
happy new year!!

Audio Drama Sunday - 23rd July ✨
This week has been such an amazing week of listening! I’ve found three new shows that I absolutely adore and I can’t wait to tell you all about them ✨
Spoilers ahead!
🌲@hellofromthehallowoods (126) FIRST OF ALL 🚗🚗🚗 BEEP BEEP GET IN LOSER, WE’RE GOING TO GET MOTH 🚗🚗🚗 So glad to hear from you again, Ray!! This line: “the devil’s a better man than I am” had my eyebrows disappearing into my hairline and that’s all I’m going to say at this time. It’s always a risk listening in public, because the scene on the beach made me want to cry a little. I hope in my heart that they’re all going to make it out of there but I have no idea how right now!
📻 @monstrousagonies (106) the first letter this week made me laugh so much! I was fully expecting the ‘moocher’ to be a brownie or someone like that, so it was a fun surprise to hear of a demonic midnight snacker! I may have to use that excuse when my baked goods don’t turn out so baked or good . . .
🎞  Tiny Terrors (021) What a welcome VA jumpscare from Mx Wellman!! I loved the story (I, too, would feed the mega-toad to make it happy) but the surrounding footage was really creepy... I sure hope the gang goes to investigate the Riverside Institute. What’s the worst that could happen?? 👀
🌍 OOH the most recent episode of @lastechoespod was genuinely empowering! The political pressure the Archivist is under seems to have ramped up this ep, and reading @skyfullofpods’s thoughts on it last week makes me want to listen to it all again with fresh ears!
🧛‍♂️ @re-dracula What a great week! Alasdair Stuart nails it as the Captain of the Demeter. His voice in the first ep is the calm surface of the sea, hiding the teeming mass of life and death below. The Renfield arc honestly unsettles me so much, but I, too, would love a kitten if there’s one going spare …
🧬 Regina Prime (ep 4) The revelations!! I loved the sound design of the getting ready montage in this ep but I loved the lore drop even more! 300 clones?! And cloning is something that’s happening commercially? Damn. The last line actually made me grin, Epsilon is quick-witted and brave (or stupid!) and I like her a lot. Every episode I get more enthralled by this show and everyone needs to be listening!
💫 Wolf 359 (20-22) Hot damn. The tension aboard the Hephaestus is something else… the paranoia is written so well, you’re listening with your most suspicious face trying to unpick it and getting nowhere. I love how I have no idea where this is going but I know the ride is going to be BUMPY.
🎩 I started @ethicstownpod this week and it deserves ALL the hype. The show uses a well-loved audio drama trope to bring us a very interesting new story. The writing and voice acting are spot on from the get-go, and the sound design choices feel fresh despite the radio format. Most podcasts make me feel, but this one makes me think as well! I really love it!! I’ve been following the development of the show on Tumblr for a while and I remember the creator being so excited about January’s VA and yeah, I totally get it. Amazing. Hard to believe the role wasn’t written for him.
SPOILERS: I love how the main ethical issues are presented while January currently seems oblivious to the ethical quandary of keeping important information from someone and who has the right to make that decision . . . ALSO Artemis and Grace are very close in age . . . imagine if they became friends . . . and then Artemis found out . . . . HOO BOY.
🥾@doyoucopypod The first two episodes are very promising! In the first ep, the pod-within-a-pod recording leads to some fun & cheesy dialogue which contrasts well with the jaded but wary interludes from [REDACTED]. I love a spooky woodland mystery and I’m really hoping for a Blair Witch style descent into terrifying found-footage chaos! The second episode really tugged on the old heart strings. I need a Does The Dog Die for this show bc I’ve had Wilson for 8 minutes but if anything happened to him I’d make that Dead Zone REALLY much more dead-er.
🏴‍☠️ @levianpod This show has dropped its anchor right into my heart!!! DAMN. I’ve listened twice this week. I can’t recall the last time I was so immediately ALL-IN for an audio drama. I mean, firstly, that cover art is GORGEOUS. I genuinely think this show has it all, there’s LORE, there’s spiciness, there are sea captains who are also sea monsters (a GIFT for the wlw, thank you 🙏), there’s a teenage romance gone WRONG. Then there’s the voice acting!! Incredible performances right out of the gate. It’s safe to say that I am OBSESSED. Why are you still here? Go fucking listen to Levian.
🎧 In the most recent ep of The First Episode Of, W Keith Tims talks to Packhowl - a creator I greatly admire. I love these interviews! It’s so fascinating to hear how other creators came to audio drama and it’s shed some of the brilliant The Madness of Chartrulean in new light for me. I miss grumpy space Jesus.
That's it from me! PLEASE go listen to Ethics Town, Do You Copy and Levian!!
