FWIW, many states have state run liquor stores- Alabama, Idaho, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia, and Washington besides NH. NH's attract out of state consumers because NH lacks sales tax.

I am forever intrigued, amused and baffled at how many books with central incestuous themes and relationships Sara has publicly talked about loving and being impacted by considering your average person would probably say none. I can only guess it’s a way to feel ‘seen’ or seek understanding in regards to certain thoughts and experiences. How Tegan ties in with the New Hampshire book fixation and the bear symbolism I have no idea, did she read it, did Sara simply talk to her about it and somehow the bear came to represent something between them? It is an interesting picture, it’s so striking in Sara, but it’s such a strange thing to pick to hang in your house or tattoo on yourself given the implications.

Sara’s interest in books with incest themes really strikes me as my own interest in gay books, shows, movies etc. before I came out as gay. I imagine she feels a similar sense of recognition

I’m pretty sure Tegan has read THNH too, although I’m not sure where I would’ve heard that. I wonder if they’ve ever talked about the book, but I kinda feel like they haven’t? Like it’s just something they’re both aware of but struggle to put in words how they feel about it

I just saw your tags under the post about rosy maple moths and where do you live that you saw them regularly growing up? I have never seen one in person in my life

Central New Hampshire!

My family was a little under an hour south/southwest of the White Mountains, solidly in the foothills and right on a lake. We have bug lights at all the outside doors and when you go to turn them off in the morning there’ll be like ten rosy maple moths (as well as some Luna moths, tiger moths, mayflies, and other moths I don’t know well enough to ID at a glance) all clustered around the light just chilling. They’re pretty easy to pick up either by scooping them off whatever wall they're clinging to or, if they’re flitting about, by just kinda sticking your finger near enough for them to catch you. They’re so relaxed and chill (and also really fuzzy)!

These little guys are native to North America (per iNaturalist, pretty much everywhere east of Texas/Kansas/The Dakotas) but I haven’t seen them as frequently in the southeast. Admittedly I’m (nowadays) in that region early-fall-to-late-spring in a small city and I’m up in New Hampshire in the middle of a forest over the summer, so that definitely affects when/where I’m seeing them.

Rosy Maple Moths live in deciduous forests and the caterpillars live and feed on all kinds of maple trees and the occasional oak tree, so you probably won't find them in bigger cities, grasslands, or west of the Rockies (lots of fauna only exist on one side of the Rockies because those mountains are a pain in the ass to cross). Despite pink and yellow being a rather distinct color combo to human eyes, the moths blend in really well with the seed pods of maple trees.

I genuinely love these little guys and I always appreciate having a reason to remember just how unique they are! A friend once said something to me to the effect of "If fairies are real, they're Rosy Maple Moths" which is like the best description of these little guys I've ever heard.

ohhh chinooks!! yes he definitely has a chinook!! also he sorta feels like the type of guy to have 2-4 dogs at any given time. usually mostly chinooks, i think he’s very proud of them, but he loves a golden retriever or a lab every now and then

I'm just going to assume you're referring to the Boston radio station WWDJ, which held the call letters WTTT between 2003 and 2008. Radio has such a fascinating history, so I'm happy to see others interested in it these days.

And before anyone goes and tries to correct me, I want to acknowledge that you could also be referring to the now defunct Stratford, New Hampshire station that held those call letters, the Hackensack, New Jersey station that held the call letters briefly in 2008, or the current holder of WTTT, a station in Springfield, Illinois. If any of these three cases are true, Tumblr may be confused showing this blog to you.

Freelunchers!! my little group of freelancer OCs that sit at the same lunch table. they're like 2nd/3rd string in terms of leaderboard stuff and not super competitive??

Anyway :) i like to think about them so I will share.

Agent Rhode Island! Rhodey, Riri, known to his family as Ari. He's got a big role in my Yellow Church au as an undercover sim trooper, Private Duncan Argus, klutz extraordinare (this is on purpose) I think I've changed his specialty from stealth to more speed but i guess both can work

Agent Oregon, anime nerd and team mom. goes by Ori or J. 💚 he's often placed as lead on teams when they're sent out for missions. very good at keeping his head when missions get hairy but tends to nag about safety issues.

Agent Delaware, i think we talked about him earlier lol. used to be on explosives disposal squad before freelancer. he's fun :) and yes he requested to be Delaware because his name was already Del

endgame is Oregon/Rhodey/Del :3c they each have 2 hands

Hammy my girl!!! she's got extra storyline stuff too bc she goes awol when (season 10 spoilers) and eventually ends up working as a mercenary called Sabre. Friends call her 'Bee'. Her and Mint (↓) are banned from teaming up in video game tournaments bc they destroy everyone

Agent Arkansas, my other minty self insert guy.... he ends up captured on a mission where things go south and Oregon loses a leg, winds up with actual anti-unsc Insurrectionists and gets a good look at Freelancer program from the outside. ends up doing mercenary work too, code name Haze. he ends up looking like North when i draw him if I'm not careful 💀💀💀

Agent Indiana, Indy, "Annie" (not her real name) because she's a deadeye with a rifle, used to ruffle feathers at shooting competitions. she's the newest oc and i don't have a whole lot on her but there's an except from the counselor's notes:

if id played my cards right (verbalized my extreme discomfort) when i was, like, 7 or 8, i couldve started puberty blockers bc i Did start rlly early . and maybe my life would have been so beautiful and lovely for a couple more years (my life was not beautiful or lvoely by any stretch at the time but i am daydreaming right now). but also i was in second grade and learning my times tables, so. not really my fault.
