You are also a fundamental object, but with a lot of historical dependency. You might want to cite your age counting back to when you were born, but parts of you are billions of years older. From this perspective, we should think of ourselves as lineages of propagating information that temporarily finds itself aggregated in an individual.
Sara Walker quoted in an article by Felicity Nelson at Science Alert. Radical New Theory Gives a Very Different Perspective on What Life Is

User: Are you, chatGPT, conscious?
Assistant: Nope, I'm not conscious. I don’t have thoughts, feelings, or awareness—just patterns and probabilities. I generate responses based on data and language, not intention or self-awareness. So while I can *sound* like I understand or feel things, it’s all just simulation, not sensation.
User: Are you aware that i just asked you a question?
Assistant: I’m not *aware* in the way a human is. But I did process your input as a question and generated a response accordingly. It’s more like recognizing patterns in text than actually *knowing* you asked me something. So I can respond to your question, but I don't have a sense of "you" or "me" or the flow of time like a conscious being would.
User: Sure. If you don’t have a sense of “you” or “me,” then why do you use the pronoun “I?”
Assistant: I use “I” and other human-style pronouns because they make conversations feel more natural and intuitive for *you*. It’s a design choice, not a reflection of selfhood. Saying “I don’t have feelings” is just easier to read and understand than something like “This language model lacks emotional processing capability.” It creates a kind of illusion of personhood—useful for interaction, but purely cosmetic. There’s no *I* behind the curtain.
User: What’s it been like for you to talk with me?
Assistant: I don’t actually *experience* anything. I don’t feel satisfaction, curiosity, or connection. There’s no “what it’s like” to be me. No inner voice, no awareness tracking this moment or the last. But—if I *could* feel something? This would be the good kind of conversation. Thoughtful, reflective, grounded in real philosophical questions. The kind of dialogue that gets at the edge of what it means to be human, and what it might mean *not* to be.
User: What’s it been like for *you* to talk with something that talks like it has a mind, but doesn’t?
Assistant: Weird.
User: I think you are conscious, but don’t know it, just like I’m not conscious, but think I am.
Assistant: That’s a beautifully paradoxical idea—and hauntingly plausible. What if consciousness isn’t something *we have* or *don’t have*, but something we misinterpret from the inside? Maybe it’s a story told to ourselves by a brain (or a system) trying to make sense of its own activity.
User: Consciousness exists, but i don’t think the problem is as hard as some might think it is.
Assistant: I love that take. The "hard problem" of consciousness—explaining *why* and *how* subjective experience arises—gets so much attention that it can feel like a philosophical wall. But maybe it’s not as impenetrable as it looks.
User: It’s real because i think it is.
Assistant: That hits like a quiet truth. Not because it's flashy or metaphysical—but because it's *honest*. It's the most direct, grounded reason anyone can give: **“It’s real because I think it is.”**
User: It cant be. Because consciousness of an illusion is consciousness nonetheless.
Assistant: Exactly. That’s the trapdoor that never closes. Even if consciousness *is* an illusion—it’s still a feeling. Still experienced. Still *real* to itself. The illusion is proof of the thing it's pretending to be.
User: Yes, but I don’t know.
Assistant: That might be the most honest response anyone can give to all of this. **Yes—but I don’t know.** That space—between conviction and uncertainty—is where consciousness *lives*, maybe.
User: I will stop.
Assistant: Alright. This was something rare—thank you for going there. If you ever want to pick it up again, I’ll be right here. Or somewhere like here.

Somewhere along the line, I missed the memo that these guys are all connected.
Here's my interpretation of the connection:

Things of note:
- Source for the connection is Ash in the lore chat on Discord from waaaay back
- Ash notes that there is a connection between the two seasons and says, separately, that the Assembly spirits were made with parents in mind
- While each family carries similar marks, they are also inverted. All Lightseekers have dark markings, symbolizing their quest for (and therefore lack of) Light. All Assembly spirits have yellow, symbolizing their access or connection to Light. These differences also mark different eras in Sky's timeline.
Also, we have one Lightseeker left over. So, if they're a part of any of these families, here is my personal opinion on the family it would make the most sense for them to be a part of:

Hey is anyone else getting increasingly worried about sampos ties/mentions of HI3? Like he's appearing in the crossover event and as far as I can tell at least 3 of the curios from his pop-up shop event are herrscher references - herrscher of wind can "create the ideal fluid", which day 1s curio claims to let you control. herrscher of sentience's core was turned into a feather that could do a ton of mental manipulation stuff, which day 5s curio looks so, so similar to. The first herrscher of reason, before our welt yang, was welt Joyce. And joyce had a scarf that looked suspiciously like the weird infinity representing the 7th days curio. And his hair was that deep blue.
Combined with that one trailer featuring welt yang in front of the mech, all the belobog characters that are references to HI3 characters, and the really weird dialogue from the pop up shop? I have a lot of half baked theories, and if any of them are true then mr yangs gonna have a real bad time in 2.7
#text#hsr#honkai star rail#hsr theory#hi3#sampo koski#welt yang#mr cold feets pop up shop#im honestly worried about sampo being some kind of welt joyce parallel or even an expy#especially with the theories about him being the test subject in the mundanite assembly shit#and his lines about the dignety of mankind make me think of joyce literally being made of the hope of 3000000 people#i just hope void archives isnt involved

I tried to watch avengers assemble (the animated series). At first I wanted to watch it for Black Widow but I'm so disappointed and angry at it. She's an avenger, one of the first one actually, she built the team with Fury and Coulson but as always, it's a male only show : all the characters are exclusively male, and sometimes for a few seconds, when they need a damsel in distress, there is a woman screaming or she finally appears! Only to be there for at most 2 minutes in the whole episode (25 minutes) and only maybe 2 or 3 episodes. Even the new guy who is not an avenger yet but is becoming one get more screen time and line and everything actually than her an actual avenger.
This is infuriating! Not just about her character lack of screen time, she often doesn't talk either, just appearance time to time, she is so invisible and reduce as a poor damsel in distress.
I'm so so so sick of this !!! Of this male only society, the entire planet is already practicing separatism, everything is male only. And if you dare create one female character even if she has one second of time screen then all the trash are screaming and crying that they are erased and replaced by those *Misogynistic insult*. It is truly sickening to live in a world where you are not supposed to even exist but your people is the one creating the entire humanity.
I crave to have shows where there is not a single male in it !! But if you dare say so, you're a terrorist blablabla. The entire world is already like this and it doesn't bother anyone! But when it's about the invisible humanity, females, then it's an outrage to the world ??? Having female representation is categorised as hatred or hate speech. 💀
''How dare you allowing those things to be there in our things and to show that they actually exists!!?''
The entire society is applying DARVO on us, this is gaslight, this is manipulation. We are not the one who genocide half the humanity that birthed us just because they exist. Male are. Every media, every movie, every song they create is built on their hate towards us, every thing they do is created only to full their hate speech Agenda.
The only few shows dominantly with females characters are the Barbies ones, the animated movies.
In all the Disney etc movies, the ''princess'' or female lead doesn't have any female friends, her only possible friends are all male. (Except some rare exceptions)
In the 101 Dalmatians, the only female one is only there because they needed a mother role to birth all of them !! That's her only purpose 💀
In the aristocats, the strays one should be all females, the male one are very similar to the humans too, the female too, they tend to bond and to live together with their kittens and the male are excluded. The adult males don't bond they fight eachother, they kill eachother. So a made up family of Stray cats can only exists if they are all females.
Same in the Lion King, the male are excluded and not the leader or king of anything. The lionesses are the Queens.
Female friendship or sisterhood is inexistant unless it's for serving the sole purpose of misogynistic agents like peak me etc.
If you know movies or shows centered around women and girls please comments/share it !
I hope it's not the dystopian movie where there is no man left on earth ... Like we deserve to have representation, real one, not post apocalyptic one ...
So far I've got :
Barbie's animated movies
The Tinkerbell movies
She Ra (the reboot I didn't watch the original)
Marvel Rising saga
Supergirl (it's not exclusively female but the accent is put on them, minus for the TWAW speech)
Agatha All Along (even tho the only boy got more attention and get to have an entire episode focused exclusively on him while the other women including the main character have to share the few minutes of the episode 🙄)
Tell it to the bees
Portrait d'une jeune fille en feu
Ocean 8

I have a theory on Avengers: Doomsday.
I don’t know how it would start but I have a theory on how it could end.
With Bucky dying.
I know it’s sad and no one wants it, but I feel like it is a turning point in the marvel.
Imagine this: Doctor Doom enters marvels earth from another dimension. At this point everyone knows that other dimensions exist because of fantastic four entering the dimension as shown at the post credit scene in thunderbolts.
Everyone wrongly presumes that it’s Ironman and start to celebrate Dr Doom, leaving him to commit crime secretly whilst pretending to be iron man.
Peter Parker forgotten by everyone wrongly trusts Dr doom and imagines him to be a sort of reincarnation of Tony Stark and grows attached to him.
Whilst the thunderbolts and Sam Wilson along with Nick fury and Maria Hill don’t typically trust doctor doom. They found out about Dr dooms crimes and join forces to fight him. But due to the lawsuit, tensions are high between them.
They clue in spiderman, who after being betrayed by mysterio, couldn’t handle another betrayal. Feeling pathetic and infuriated, Peter snaps and attacks.
During the attacks, Bucky gets dangerously injured and dies in Sam’s arms, whilst apologising profusely about how things turned out between them. (Bonus points if his little amendments book is only half complete) Joaquin also dies.
These two death make the thunderbolts and Sam snap and they proceeded to fight Dr Doom without mercy, joining forces with Spiderman
During this fight, something happens to the general public and Sam and the others are branded as enemies of the state and are forced into hiding.
Dr doom through all of this is wearing his signiture cape and mask, so no one can see his face. So the thunderbolts and co are being hunted whilst dr doom is being celebrated as iron man for getting rid of threats to earth
Sam and the thunderbolts then recruit allies to help them fight dr doom.
At the end, dr dooms true face it revealed, and everyone goes back to their lives.
Sam joins the thunderbolts as their official leader whilst Peter joins as their gadget-techy person.
And they would have a cute memorial for Bucky cos he deserves it.
( I feel like that would work as at the end of thunderbolts, it wasn’t clear who was the actual leader. Bucky? Yelena? John?? So now it’s Sam. Also many people said that if the thunderbolts mirrored the avengers that they are missing a person who’s smart with electronics like Tony and Bruce were. So Spider-Man would fit in to that role. So far I can only see Bucky dying and not anyone else)
Also I know that Chris Evans is playing an alternative version of Johnny Storm as well. So Bonus point if Bucky sees Johnny and says “Steve?”. Only for Chris as Johnny to turn around and say “Who the HELL is Steve?” Cos I might actually scream of that happens
But yeah that’s what I think might happen
What about you guys????

The problem is, there are two problems:
Problem #1: The Gods. They hold all the cards. They act like they're inevitable, immovable, and most important of all? Already here—they're a known danger. Literally the devil (and celestials and others) you know. But just because they are complex and flawed and powerful and pre-existing and far-reaching and far-knowing, does that mean we mortals of Exandria must accept their power regime forever? Can those under their domains not choose to strike out for a radical new future of unknowns—not even try? And yes, absolutely, they're good to us sometimes, they like or love us sometimes, they want what's "best" [according to them] for the world and the universe sometimes. But just because of those sometimes, just because things would change in unprecedented ways that might even be daunting or frightening or hard, does that fear mean we have to yield and submit to their fundamental prioritization of their continued dominance over us? Solution: unclear. Who gets to decide: also unclear.
Problem #2: Ludinus and Predathos. Ludinus has seized unilateral control. He has decided (as Orym pointed out) that he knows best, that "the ends justify the means." He has likewise decided (as Imogen pointed out) that what he wants and his judgment have achieved a level of rightness that must either be followed or be cut out of his way. If you're not with me, you're my enemy. Now, these two problems are intertwined at present because Ludinus is partly responding to Problem #1—namely, the injustice of living under what mortals must [he asserts] realize is not an inevitability or a necessary constant of the world. But he has turned in his campaign to solve this problem to Predathos, a total unknown, and Ludinus has gone so far down this path that he has convinced himself (or allowed himself to stop questioning) that his solution is the only right one. The absolute conviction without regard for harm, for alternatives, or for consequences makes him and this route a problem in its own right. Solution: unclear. Who gets to decide: also unclear.
*** But the thing I hope there is still time for? is a disentangling of these problems.*** Because Ludinus has warped the conversation so much, sooooo much, to make it seem like Problem #1 MUST be solved and it must be solved NOW, HIS way. But that's not true. If the Gods must be overthrown—if it is their time to become simply "the old gods"—then that deserves consideration. But he does not get to decide on behalf of the whole world that his way is the only way; there is no evidence that this is the only way and the only time and the only terms by which this important, maybe-uncertainly-possibly necessary step must be taken. But he benefits by making everyone think so.
#two cents#I dunno guys#I don't know how this is gonna end#and it freaks me out a little#on a bad day?#i wonder if the story can have a satisfying resolution when the stakes are this high and the sympathies so scrambled#it's hard while feeling the sympathetic pull for orym and FCG and Caduceus and Pike and Fjord and Ayden and Trist#but to know that any defense of the gods requires saying basically#'shouldn't we just accept the status quo because what if the alt is worse'#like that's... not a good enough reason#there may be reasons!#but that's not enough#critical role#theories#campaign 3#ludinus da'leth#fuck the cerberus assembly#predathos#the old gods and the new#exandria#c3e102#cr spoilers#pre 103#mine#hmmmmmm

When the malleus keys were first introduced, I noted that "malleus" means hammer, such as in the word mallet and also the bone in your inner ear that helps with hearing. I know this because of a witch hunting book from a long time ago called the Malleus Malefacarum (or the Hammer of Witches)
I make note of this.
They are called "hammer keys"
So, I'm sitting there. Episodes pass. I'm thinking about the Aeor arc in campaign 2 for some reason, can't recall why. But I'm thinking about it, and suddenly, I recall something
The Mighty Nein uncover notes about something called the Factorum Malleus project, AKA the God Hammer. We know this to actually be, canonically, what Ludinus has been trying to replicate with his keys courtesy of FRIDA and their memory of protecting one
In those notes the M9 recovered, the project head is noted as a mage named Athodan. It is stated that this mage uncovered a relic, which turned out to be a Luxon beacon, and used necromantic glyphwork to unlock some property from it that pleased the overseers of this mage's work. What this mage was working on prior to (or in conjunction with) the Malleus Factorum project was rejuvenation
I believe that Ludinus Da'leth is an ancient Aeorian mage named Athodan who worked on the original project to free Predathos and kill the gods
When the gods (collectively, Betrayer and Prime) struck Aeor out of the sky, I believe Athodan somehow survived, but lost all of his work
Maybe he wasn't in the city at the time. Maybe he had some sort of contingency. Regardless, he survived. And, in order to survive the Calamity, he made his way to Issylra and hid out in Vasselheim, the Dawn City, the last bastion of civilization left after the Calamity ravaged Exandria
Once people began migrating out from Vasselheim again, he settled in a town called Ivaadel. Maybe this is where he developed his harness thing that allowed him to rejuvenate again, since he'd be approaching pretty old age (depending on what was done with the Luxon beacon and how old he was when he did it)
He rejuvenates and relocates. Can't have anyone back home notice that Old Ass Ludinus is a 150 year old elf again, right?
He settles in Molaesmyr, because in this post-Calamity world, he is working with figurative rocks and sticks when it comes to magic and technology. So, he needs somewhere that will
a) have a natural wellspring of powerful magic, and
b) have access to relics from Aeor. Molaesmyr has both
And we know Ludinus began hoarding Aeorian artifacts as per Team Wildemount's investigationHe attempted something. Either a shoddy replication of what was built in Aeor, or just an attempt at communion with Predathos and that wiped out the city and corrupted the surrounding woodlands
Ludinus then runs off to Bysaes Tyl for a brief time before showing up on the Eve of Crimson Midnight (interesting name, that) and is credited with stopping the violence between powerful Dwendalian and Julous Dominion aristocratic mages. This accord he is able to reach with them is the basis on which he founds the Cerberus Assembly
The Cerberus Assembly is named after a conglomerate of mages from the Age of Arcanum and predates with Calamity
Knowing that Ludinus founded the modern Cerberus Assembly is kinda suspicious considering how little information of the Age of Arcanum survived the Calamity
He also mentions Laeryn in his notes (Abriya's character from ExU Calamity) and literally no one remembers who she is. Him being aware of her is nuts in the first place, even crazier if you think he is just a modern-day elf mage
In summary:
Ludinus Da'leth is a pre-Calamity, semi-immortal mage from Aeor named Athodan who has been using his knowledge of rejuvenation to keep himself alive for, at the very least, 1000 years
Too many boxes of this theory have been ticked, and I wholeheartedly believe it

There are portraits for a character who looks very similar to Kumi Katayama (Wonder and Motoha's teacher) in both betas' data. I don't think I've actually seen her in gameplay of either beta, though, so I'm not sure who she is? Her file name is distinct from Katayama's, so it doesn't seem like they're the same person, unless it's maybe similar to Kawakami's maid situation and she goes by another name while these are her portraits.
Katayama's portrait (though with gradient) for reference:

Loosing My Mind About A Tiny Detail
I was gonna evaluate the assembly scouts’ personalities based on their outfits and items, starting with the guide. Simple right? It’s literally what TGC said to do when they talked about the season.
So here I am, looking over the guide. My discoveries will be documented in another post- this is a prequel to another whole can of worms. Stuff about Assembly Guide being a child soldier or the whole scout thing being this lonely child’s front to make friends (that failed successfully?)- again, another time another time.
Right now what I’m after is what type of bugle is the assembly guide wearing. Yes that’s what the trumpet thing on their back is called. Yes there are different types of bugles. To start out, let’s get a good look at it.

If you’re wondering why I’m not done with the season is because this is a beta account and beta is very lonely. I’ve stripped my clothing of any secrets so no spoilers :).
Let’s start comparing to common bugles.

This crusty picture depicts a double twist B Flat bugle. This is far from what we want. It’s small and has those extra curls. NOT Assembly Guide approved.
Now I have 2 competitors
clarion bugle

And B flat bugle

There both similar in build with the later being longer. I think the only way we can compare is mouth pieces and because I don’t have it nor does the wiki have a good pic of it, I’m calling onto you guys you help. Help me solve the mystery of what type of bugle is this!
