Here we are with another World Autism Day! If you're still new to the blog, I am an autistic creator & blogger who enjoys menswear and discussing topics surrounding mental health, faith and science. While I do post selfies here and there, my hope is to help bring awareness and acceptance of autistic people by revealing some of my interests and thoughts through art, writing and photography. Being an autistic person may not be easy, but it's who I am; it's who my God made me to be. Full disclosure: writing this, I realised how much I struggle with writing image IDs. They often require more spoons than I have available, which is why you’ll rarely see them on my account. Why? Standing out and being yourself is a benefit in itself. For one it’s less stressful trying to fit in. You will be happier, more confident and make better decisions thinking for yourself. Great evening at IPSUM's event tonight. Watched the talented Sue and Scott read their poetry before being caught slightly off guard when my services were offered as a 3rd poet so read a new one I had written about being a mum to a little girl with autism. (❤️). Listened to some music and appreciated some great art work. And sold 5 copies of my book. Very happy. That's 88 sales or downloads of both titles now if you include promotions. Nearly at my 100 which makes me very happy. I've had a bit of an idea to squeeze into my already busy week. After I'm done dropping my lunch we are taking Cave Dog to show off his smart new collar and try out my new camera and lens. Sensory calming session with lightshow, sound box and nice squidgy blue tack. Putting up a log later to explain stimming and this is all helping sensory regulation of an upset Monkey in the house.
