re: prev post about change ringing. in my penultimate year of highschool my beloved greek/latin teacher fell down a flight of stairs on the way to a cricket match and broke his neck. he was ok eventually!!! but obviously could not teach for a while so the school convinced this extremely old ex-headmaster from another school to teach our tiny greek class (he was the guy who got me into translation theory but he also invented new and psychologically tormenting ways to test unseen euripides. so.). but every so often this guy would just not show up to teach with no warning and our class was like. well this guy is very old and last time the greek teacher didn’t show up it was because he almost died. what if the new teacher has simply passed away. and every time he would show up the next day like oh no i’m fine i was just doing change ringing for [various occasions]. and this is why i joined the change ringing society during my masters. i had to see what was so seductive about it!!!

Been thinking about what Ashton's FCG-inspired vest might look like, so here is a sketch based on that! I'm not 100% happy with it and I feel like it should maybe have a quote from FCG on it or something, but I'm posting it anyway because not everything has to be perfect.

I did make a long sleeve variant because they need warm clothes for the journey to Aeor, but I don't think it looks as nice.

something that is like the baseline of amys entire character to me is that shes lonely. shes clingy and physically affectionate in a way none of her friends really are, shes always getting pushed aside and left behind. yeah, she helps out people she doesnt know because shes a nice person, but also, she sees part of herself in them. she wont leave someone else behind because she knows the feeling —and more importantly, hates the feeling. if she doesnt have somebody to stand by her and be there for her, then shes going to be that person for everybody else. something something her obsession with sonic is really just like a manifestation of that desire for closeness with someone, and she thinks that romance is the only way to get that. idk... this hedgehog can have so many abandonment issues.
