actually do you think igglybuff and jigglypuff might enjoy being tossed around (gently)? they're balloon pokémon, and i know igglybuff at least likes bouncing like a ball

Gently, perhaps, but I would still advise against it. If not because of harm to the Pokemon, because, well... Have you ever tried to stop a bouncing Igglybuff?

Recordings of Jigglypuff's strange lullabies can be purchased from department stores. These CDs can be found near the bedding area. The songs they sing are totally different depending on the region they live in. Some even sound like they're shouting!

It sheds its fine fur when the seasons change. The fur is gathered and spun into a luxurious yarn. As it inhales, it expands...and expands...and expands. Wigglytuff compete to see which one can inflate itself the most.

Thanks to its bouncy body and fine fur, this Pokemon is sought after. Holding one in your arms while you sleep feels great. When it gets angry, it inhales with all its might, and its body gradually inflates. Sometimes they can grow 20 times larger!

Indigo League Episode 21

Ah, Bye Bye Butterfree, lots of kids first heartbreak. I never cried over it but I know a lot of people have. Interestingly enough excluding Meowth all the Pokemon seen in this episode have the same name between Japanese and English.

The amount of curve on the ground where they’re walking is amusing to me for some reason.

They’re so silly. Their reaction to seeing a high cliff is to look straight down and comment that they'd die if they fell off it.

Look at them copying Team Rocket, using a hot air balloon and all.

I like Brock showing his age and experience here, he’s usually just being the comedic relief.

And then he goes right back to his annoying romantic bit after seeing a girl in another balloon who is also releasing a Butterfree for mating season. And I’m pretty sure there’s an animation error on Brock’s face, that red glow seems like it was supposed to stay on his face but it’s spilling out on the right there.

Misty teasing Brock is everything to me. And she said exactly that I was thinking too.

Of course Team Rocket has a helicopter the one time the gang is in a balloon. And poor Butterfree, his little bug body slamming into the metal must hurt a lot. He does later switch to the window but that doesn't work either.

Look they're stealing Team Rocket's theme song! This is the first time they've done it. (I think.)

Jesse is cutting out the pokemon middle man and fighting the pokemon herself, she's such a girlboss.

It's fairly normal but for some reason the way Ash ran up and checked on butterfree was really sweet to me.

Butterfree's fighting ability won over the pretty girl he liked! So in a way, Team Rocket was really helpful today.

I love his little smirk. He's going to destroy them and they know it.

Ash too! (Random fact, this is the third time he's cried in the show so far and the first time it wasn't over Pikachu.)

And that's the episode! It's cute, kinda sad, but has a great vibe overall. One final thing to point out is that they have a memory flashback compilation for Butterfree, which I was amused to see considering they only use clips from like five episodes, but I guess that is about 25% of the number of episodes we've watched so far.

On Wednesday we start another multi episode arc!

Fun fact: If there's Jigglypuffs spawned in and the weather's stormy and/or windy, they'll just fly away at remarkable speeds. I'm pretty sure this is just a feature and not a glitch since they're the Balloon Pokemon.

I would assume it's a feature as well because if it was a glitch you'd expect it to effect other Pokemon and not solely Jigglypuffs. and it's delightful

This one has given me the most difficulty so far. I think I went through a dozen different thumbnails before settling on this look. I'd originally wanted to go for a more balloon look, since Jigglypuff is the balloon pokemon, but everything I did ended up looking like a clown. Eventually, I realized that sweet lolita fashion was the perfect style for fairy-type and ended on this look. Another design where I'm going to hate myself for all the ruffles I've included. Looking at it now, I might add Jigglypuff ears to the headband.

ok you see this volume cover yeah? (aside from me punching a wall over how everyone's in here together) it gives a good taste of how every dexholder uses fly on their 'mon - i won't go into detail about how each kid got their 'mon but the way they were picked up on is really unique from the others.

red has an aerodactyl (mf carries red like a baby)

blue has a charizard (the most practical way to fly a pokemon ig),

green has a jigglypuff (which! actually is just a balloon with helium iirc, and she doesn't like flying types - again, won't explain why but each kid has a good reason for their preference),

yellow (pokespe-exclusive dexholder! very sweet kid) has a butterfree (makes yellow look like a cute fairy which is so adorable),

silver has a murkrow (probably the most badass one, look at how silver poses)

crystal has a natu (looks a little funny how this round ass bird can carry her but I respect that)

and here's gold....

SPIT WATER. gold has a fucking shooting glider isn't that the most terrifying thing this kid could come up with - isn't he like ELEVEN YEARS OLD OR SOMETHING. he really said work smarter not harder though he definitely pulled this one out of his ass and by sheer luck was able to decide on this

the thing that really cements this is the actual dynamic between mantines and remoraids, it's like how certain species of fish has a beneficial relationship with larger animals like sharks (scrapping for leftovers on the bigger animal) and it's most definitely applicable with the mantine and remoraid, they have a commensalism relationship. thank you science for teaching me that gotdamn.....

Starting off... Inanimate Insanity characters' Smash Bros mains!

(this is a long post, so...)

OJ mains Mario. Mostly because it's the most basic one but OJ would also just main Mario and take pride in it.

Paper mains Luigi just to match.

Salt mains Peach. She would most definitely take pride in playing Peach.

And just like Paper, Pepper plays Daisy just to match.

Nickel mains Dark Pit because edgy characters resonate with his soul.

Balloon plays Kirby because he got attached to him in story mode.

Baseball plays Dedede and is surprisingly competent overall.

Knife plays Cloud because Pickle thought it was funny that his Buster Sword is like Knife himself.

Pickle plays Wario just to throw people off.

Marshmallow plays Pichu and for some reason, she's decent at the game.

Apple plays Lucario and tries her best to figure out how the aura gimmick works, but keeps forgetting.

Bow plays Jigglypuff so she, Marshmallow, and Apple can be a Pokemon team.

Paintbrush plays Pit because they'd much rather be playing Kid Icarus: Uprising right now.

Lightbulb plays Palutena so she and Paintbrush can be a Kid Icarus-themed duo.

Taco plays Sephiroth. Actually, she kins Sephiroth.

Box wasn't invited to the Smash tourney.

Cheesy plays Pikachu because it's yellow.

The Cherries play Ice Climbers. They swap between who plays.

Dough plays Incineroar so he can be a Pokemon as well.

Test Tube plays Inkling because the Splatoon games are some of the only video games that she's played. Probably.

Fan doesn't main anyone in particular, but he's constantly switching between all of the Fire Emblem characters.

Suitcase plays Ness. She likes Earthbound and hasn't had the bravery to download a Mother 3 ROM. She's afraid of getting in trouble.

Soap plays Bayonetta and is just having the time of her life.

Microphone plays Joker, but she only plays all out of peer pressure anyway.

Yin-Yang plays Pyra and Mythra. Yin plays Mythra and Yang plays Pyra. They're big on Xenoblade.

Trophy plays Ridley and screams the entire match.

Tissues plays Steve, but only for a few minutes before he goes back to treating his condishawn.

Blueberry plays Mr. Game & Watch. "Game & Watch is a video game, right?" he asks.

Cabby plays Banjo & Kazooie. She's desperate for somebody to play with her but she kicks butt at the game so nobody bothers.

Candle plays Lucas because unlike Suitcase, she's actually played Mother 3.

Goo doesn't really have a main, but he's constantly switching between all the Pokemon.

Tea Kettle plays King K. Rool, but only for a few minutes. She doesn't understand you kids and your video games.

Silver Spoon is constantly switching between Marth and Roy because they're royalty.

Lifering plays Olimar because he and his Pikmin reminds him of him and the other Sinkers.

Bot plays Isabelle. If asked why, they ask you if you wanna do something else.

Clover plays Rosalina because the Lumas remind her of her butterflies.

The Floor can't play, but if he could, he would play Yoshi.
