Eobard Thawne (Flash) - Oneshot
Word Count: 4k+. This one took me a few hours but I really had fun writing it. I hope you all enjoy! :)
People always said that being too invested in your work wasn’t the best. You needed to have balance. Of course you barely paid mind to that. The best scientist never got anywhere lazing around. Besides, you had a life outside of research. You have a steady stream of cop shows to keep you company.
One of which is the very popular Flash TV series.
It was by far your favorite. It’s not like you didn’t have friends either. You just barely had time to meet with them due to your inventions. This one was going to be the best yet. Being a senior in college meant that this was your last chance to make your name as a scientist. If you could create this, then the sponsorships and press conferences would come blazing through the door. You grin, tighten the last screw.
“Alright!”
All you had to do was connect the plugs and you were set. It sort of made it easier being the only one in the lab at night. No distractions.
“Take that Jimmy.”
You glared at his machine on the other side of the room as you showed it the finger, plugging in your own. Yes, maybe that was a little immature, but he was so conceited. Constantly boasting that he was going to create a device that could stop aging and sell to the highest bidder. He didn’t care about human life.
Just money.
“Moron.”
Your invention was meant to stop terrible illnesses like cancer, cure the sick. You did want the recognition, but also the joy that came with watching a child make it back home to their family, healthy and happy.
Exhaling softly, you moved over to the outlet to plug in your machine. The rumbling of thunder however stopped you. When the lights went out, you cursed. You couldn’t see a thing. Dropping the cord, you moved around feeling for a door. It was weird that the backup generators hadn’t kicked in.
There was a flicker, and you smiled when the lights above your head turned on. Thankfully it hadn’t messed with anything in the lab. You moved to grip the door and maybe find the security guard, but the lights in the building started blaring and you flinched.
The constant flicker of red was not what you expected. Your eyes moved to the glass ceiling, and the sight of a current of lightning should have alerted you to run away. But a part of you knew that if it broke the glass, that would be it. The machine you spent more than six months on would probably turn into a pile of trash.
“Hey kid!! Get the hell out of there!!”
The yell of the guard brought you back for a second. He tried opening the door to come and get you, but you were already bolting in the direction of your machine. You jumped at the last second, just as the streak of lighting broke the glass. The sparks struck every surface in the room and you screamed at the surge that rushed through your body.
Your body was elevated for a second and when the lights finally shut off and turned back on, the guard could only stare at the empty room.
That was how it happened.
A poor choice on your part. But at the time it made sense. You were surprised that you were still alive. You could hear the beeping of machines and the faint smell of disinfectants. Your nose scrunched up and you turned your head, pressing your palm to your forehead.
“GUYS SHE’S AWAKE!!”
That yell really wasn’t helping.
You sat upright groaning at the pain that ran through your body. The sound of feet shuffling finally made you lift your gaze. Your eyes were still trying to adjust to the room.
“We’re relieved that you’re alright.”
“That voice..”
You knew that voice.
Why did you know that voice?
When your focus finally steadies, you were positive that maybe you did in fact die.
“My name is-”
“Harrison Wells..”
He was a bit confused.
“That’s right.”
Your eyes ran over all four of them and you swallowed, stumbling out of the bed.
“Barry Allen, Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon..”
They were fairly puzzled that you seem to know their names.
“The Flash..You’re the Flash. OH MY GOSH I’M IN THE FLASH!!”
You started pacing around in circles as you continued to rant and they all turned to Dr. Wells for some kind of instruction, but he looked just as stumped as everyone else.
“This is crazy. It’s not real. It can’t be real. That lightning, the light that’s what happened! I was struck by lightning and I’m in a coma. I must be in a coma. Either that or I’m dead. Am I dead!!? I didn’t even get the chance to have a boyfriend. I can't be dead!!!” You were sobbing now and Cisco nudged Barry.
“What! Why me!?” Barry protested.
“You’re the hero dude. Save her or whatever.”
Barry trailed over cautiously, reaching over and patting your arm awkwardly.
“T-There there. It’ll be okay.”
“Noooo it’s not, I’m dead. Why! WHY!!”
Your wails got progressively louder and Barry took a step back to the group.
“I tried.”
Eobard released a heavy sigh. He could already tell that this was a thorn in his plan. The fact that you just appeared in their lab in a burst of light didn’t help at all.
“I need to be calm and deal with this.”
He couldn’t afford the distraction, not right now.
He wheeled over in his chair, plastering the best look of comfort that he could.
“We understand that you’re in a tough position. But if you calm down and explain the situation, we might be able to get you back to where you came from.” You were still crying softly, and when you looked up at him, he almost felt sorry. He held out a hand for you, and you wiped your eyes, nodding slowly as you took his hand.
He almost jolted at the subtle spark he felt run through his hand. When he looks at you, there’s no noticeable change, so he schools his features as he guides you to take a seat.
“Tell us what happened.” He urged.
You finally got yourself to stop crying long enough to fully explain your situation. They sat there very attentively. It was a little hard to believe on both sides. But the alternative was truly considering that you must have died.
“So where you’re from this all a television show?” Barry asked.
“It is. I was working on my machine and then a crazy storm came out of nowhere. I tried to save my tech but I guess I got hit.”
“It was reckless of you to run towards an active storm. “
Dr. Well’s words make you blush. You slide off the chair.
“Y-Yeah you’re right. A-anyway, do you guys have ideas of how to get me back?” You avoid contact with him, and he raises a brow.
“Well your machine must have been the trigger. It might have been struck too.”
You shook your head.
“No, that's impossible. My machine was built to attack cancerous cells in the body.”
“You were trying to cure cancer?” Barry asks.
“Yeah I..I just wanted to help people.” You mutter. Barry smiles.
Now that is all gone. Your machine was probably obliterated and you were stuck wherever this was.
“Was there anything else that could have triggered your transportation here?” Caitlin asks.
You shrug.
“Not that I could think of. The room just had a few minor tech projects and that stupid narcissist Jimmy’s anti-aging machi..” You trail off and it clicks in your head.
“Shit that’s it!!”
“What’s it?” Barry question.
“Jimmy, oh my gosh. I’m a little pissed but he’s actually a genius. He’s been working on an anti-aging programmer. Basically it superchargers the body. It stops the cells that contribute to aging and deterioration.” You run to the board set up at the center of the room as you start marking down equations.
“I’ve been there for most of his upgrades so I know the general layout. I could build his machine and find my way back there!”
You were practically glowing, and Barry stepped forward.
“Whatever we can do to help, we will.” You turned to him.
“Really, you’ll help me?”
“Of course! We’re always down to help a fellow scientist. Besides, you're trying to cure cancer. You’re awesome.” Cisco states.
“I’ll do what I can to help.” Caitlin offers. You can’t stop the smile on your face.
“Thank you, thank you so much!”
You hug Barry, and he laughs patting your back. You go down the line giving them all hugs. When you get to Dr. Wells, you’re still wearing that smile. It slowly fades and you clear your throat.
“W-We should get to work immediately. "
You made a quick turn, heading back to the board.
That was the plan. Rebuild Jimmy’s machine and get back home. For the most part it was fairly easy. Barry of course had to fill Joe in on everything and then create a story to tell Iris of who you were. Everything felt sort of smooth sailing. You crashed at Star Labs working on your project day and night while helping Team Flash with their endeavors. You weren’t exactly hero certified. The more dangerous situations you stood at the sidelines with Dr. Wells, just observing.
It was still weird adjusting to a show you were literally watching on your television screen. They were all just as kind and brave as their characters portrayed. Cisco was an amazing engineer. He’d helped put together the tools to create the machine. While the first few attempts were a fail, you could tell you were getting closer. You knew it wouldn’t be easy trying to invent a machine you didn’t design yourself and you were going off your memory. Whenever you got discouraged or sulk, Barry had a way of helping you regain inspiration to keep going.
Cisco would make jokes of what you would do when you got back and Caitlin had soft affirmations to encourage you. It was nice. You realized then that you were so focused on your tech that you hadn’t given yourself any time to have fun or be with your friends back home. A part of you just always thought they would be there after you finally made it big. It was selfish and immature. Maybe this was the reason you were here. To open your eyes in a sense.
“Any progress Ms. (L/N).” You jumped at the voice at your door. Dr. Wells wheeled in and you swallowed the lump in your throat.
“S-Slow progress.”
You keep your eyes on the board, trying not to give too much of a reaction.
Another issue as of late was avoiding Dr. Wells. See he’d always been your favorite character. A crush if you will. While you really admired the actor, you never truly thought you would meet him. So working in such close quarters wasn’t the best. Your solution was to avoid any and all interactions. There was no point in getting attached when the goal was to ultimately leave. You also couldn’t alter anything too drastically.
“I think we have something that needs to be discussed. “
The click of the lock on your door is what gains your attention. When you turn back, Dr. Wells is no longer seated in his wheelchair, but standing at the entrance. You drop the marker in shock.
“You’re..”
You blink and he has you pressed to the wall. The papers in your room have scattered and you hold your breath. Back against the wall caged between his arms, you can only stare.
“You’ve known who I am this whole time, haven’t you?”
“W-Who you are..”
You’re completely in the dark and it’s starting to scare you. This isn’t the man that was so compassionate on the first day you got here. Not even close.
“Are you still going to play games?”
He tilts his head, raising his hand, and when you see the vibrations, your heart almost stops. Those usually warm eyes light up a treacherous scarlet. You’re beginning to see the bigger picture.
“Y-You’re the evil speedster..the one who killed Barry’s parents..”
“Eobard Thawne, in the flesh.” He smirked.
You feel like an idiot. You literally could have avoided this if you’d just watched the last few episodes. The realization that you might actually die here becomes very real. You sob, and he lowers his hand. You clench your eyes, waiting for the inevitable, but nothing happens. A minute, maybe two passes and you finally open your eyes. He’s no longer vibrating, but he hasn’t moved away.
“So you really didn’t know. That’s a surprise.” He walks back, and you’re still pressed into the wall.
You’re afraid to move.
“Since we’re both in a bind I’d suggest we come to an agreement. You can’t breathe a word of this to Barry or the others, not until I get what I want.”
“W-What makes you think I won’t tell them!! I could give a crap about getting home now. I’m not just going to let you hurt them!”
“How awfully brave of you.” His tone is mocking, and he moves around the room. You know it’s more to intimidate you.
“I’m sure you’ve realized by now that anything you do here could ultimately steer the plot off course. I initially assumed that’s why you’ve been so curt with me. If you even make a ripple, everything here, everyone you know, that you’ve grown to care about could die and it would be all your fault.”
You swallow. He’s right. You know he is. If he’s truly from the future then he has a lot more knowledge.
“So what do you say, partner?”
“We’re not partners!” You hiss.
This is painful. You press your hand to the desk to steady yourself. It’s all so messy now. He’s still standing there looking proud of himself and you stare right at him.
“I hate you.”
There’s so much spite and malice in those words, and Eobard’s smile slowly falls from his lips. He isn’t sure why he feels anything. Those words shouldn’t even phase him. But the look you wear right now is much different from the one you’ve been sending him all those weeks that you’ve been around. He turns his back, unlocking the door and setting himself right back into his chair.
“Have a pleasant night Ms. (L/N).”
That’s what he said. You should have expected life to deal you such a hand. Every time you got comfortable, there just seemed to be a bigger obstacle.
You kept up the secret, even though it hurt to lie to your friends every single day. The thought of them being wiped from existence was much more painful. A part of you just hoped that the heroes would prevail. This was a tv series after all. That small glimmer of hope is what gives you the will to keep going. It was hard to explain, but somehow you knew Barry and the others would come out on top.
One particular afternoon you were having a movie night at Cisco’s place with Barry, and Caitlin.
“Hey, you never really told us who your favorite character was.” Cisco called, tossing popcorn at you.
You leaned into the couch thoughtfully.
“I guess Barry is.” You spoke.
“Really?” He said, clearly flattered.
You nod, playing with your bowl of snacks.
“I guess in a way I related more to you. I’m an orphan too.”
They’re all listening now.
“I’m sorry. We weren’t trying to pry.” Barry apologizes. You shake your head.
“It’s okay. It’s not that bad. It was just a little hard growing up. Everything I have I had to work for. In a way watching your character felt like watching myself. You had a hard start, but you still made something of yourself and that's admirable. I wanted to be just like you. “ Barry smiles. Pulling you into a half hug and you grin.
“Okay, okay we get it.” You laugh at Cisco.
“You’re one of the characters I had a crush on though Cisco.”
“What, girl for real?”
You nod.
“Yep. It’s the long hair. Definitely a weakness.” He begins playing with his hair and Caitlin giggles.
“Please don’t give him a big head.”
“I’ll try not to.”
Cisco grins.
“I kind of wish you had a friend that we could pair Dr. Wells with. Maybe then we could get him to stop being so private and quiet. I bet you if he had a girlfriend he’d come back out of his shell.”
Caitlin smacked his shoulder and Cisco just continued to laugh.
It was just a jab, you knew that. But deep down you wondered if he had someone to be his moral compass, then maybe he would give up this whole master plan.
With that thought, you returned the following morning with a new goal. If you could maybe figure him out, maybe you could flip him for the good. The moments you weren’t running through equations, you would steal glances at him. You try to observe his likes, dislikes. Ticks. Anything that could give you just a hint of his personality. This outer part is just a persona, you know that. But despite that, you know there must be times where his true self slips out.
“Is there something that I can help you with Ms. (L/N).”
His tone is polite for obvious reasons. Caitlin and Cisco turn. It dawns on you that maybe you weren’t being subtle.
“N-No Dr. Wells!” You speed down to your room and Cisco shrugs.
“Wonder what’s up with her?” He says absentmindedly.
Eobard intends to find out just that. He hasn’t been blind to the subtle glances. If you’re planning something, he intends to use any means to discourage you from acting impulsive. When he gets to the door, he doesn’t even knock. He pushes the door open and you flinch. Once inside, the door slams shut. He stands, stretching.
“Planning something I should know about?”
He doesn’t fail to intimidate. When he shows you his true colors, it’s like the air shifted. You stay planted firmly. This time you’re not going to back down like a coward. Maybe if you make your intentions known, you can throw him off his game. You can change his perspective.
“I-I’m going to make you fall in love with me.”
He just stares for a second, because he’s not sure if you’re joking or being serious. His baffled look changes slowly to amusement. Pretty soon he’s laughing and you know why. Eobard speeds right over to you. He doesn’t miss the subtle jump you make, even though you try to hide it when you’re both eye to eye.
“Do you really think such a foolish plan will work? I can see it whenever you look at me, you’re terrified. Even now, you’re quaking in your boots like a frightened little girl.” You swallow, puffing your chest.
“How exactly do you intend to make me fall in love with you?”
It’s a ridiculous statement, but he loves this, pulling your strings.
You don’t say a word, not at first and that smirk on his lips grow wider. When you take a step forward and grab his cheeks, he plans to question it, but you press your lips to his and any thought he’d formulated has disappeared.
You’ve indeed caught him off guard. Your eyes are closed and your heart is hammering to an unknown rhythm. After a few hot seconds, you pull back, licking your lips. You can still taste him.
“Wow..”
That was an impulse move. You were just trying to prove a point, but you can’t deny that it felt good. Before the whole evil speedster ordeal you did have a healthy crush on the man. Eobard is still somewhat gaping at you.
Well that worked, you suppose. You release him, taking a step back.
“You’re not the only one who’s driven. I won’t lose.”
That’s all you say as you walk away from him. Even when the door closes behind him, he doesn’t truly process it. His hand hesitantly moves to his lips. That shouldn’t have phased him. Not in the slightest. But he felt it. That kiss. Your touch. He finds himself licking his lips, just to get another taste.
“Shit.”
He underestimated you.
Following that encounter, Eobard is unsure how to go about intimidating you. It was as if you’d gained the upper hand somehow. In the lab with Barry and the others, you’re unnaturally nice to him. When the both of you are alone, you’ll brush by him or casually blow off the little threats he makes about getting in the way of his plan.
During one particular battle in Star Labs, Barry has managed to subdue the chaotic meta, not before they had released a minor shockwave. It had knocked all of them off their feet before Barry grabbed the cuffs. When the criminal was safely restrained, he bolted to the pipeline. Cisco and Cailtin were still picking themselves off the floor. He hated situations where he had to pretend to be helpless. It was a little degrading. That was the price he had to pay.
By some grace, you’d landed right on top of him. His legs were sprawled on the floor and you were straddling his hips. You looked down for a second, clearly disoriented. When you gathered yourself, you tried to stand and his eyes ended up focused right on your bust that was now in full view.
“Dr. Wells are you okay?”
Your soft voice rang in his ear and he finally made eye contact. He cursed himself for the moment of weakness. Maybe it was the fact that he’d never indulged in those desires that he was now feeling a dull ache in his groin. He covered it well, nodding as he allowed you to help him back into wheelchair.
“I’m fine.” His tone was gruff, and you bent over to inspect him for injuries. Although you knew of his capabilities, he was just like Barry. That meant sustaining an injury was possible.
“Are you sure you’re okay?”
Caitlin and Cisco seemed otherwise occupied with picking up falling tech and some computers. He groaned, once again being face to face with your cleavage.
Eobard gripped your wrist with a low growl.
“Stop bending over.”
It’s a hiss.
For a moment you’re confused, but then your eyes finally trail to where his eyes lay, your cheeks erupt in color. You pull back quickly, fumbling over your words.
“I-I’m going to help Barry!”
You declared. You were rushing out of the cortex before they could question it and Eobard shifted in his seat, agitated with the problem he now had to deal with.
He was positive that it couldn’t get worse than that. Your little distractions have been driving him up a wall. He’d been so sure that it was a bluff you made that day. Making him fall in love. It wasn’t logical. This wasn’t logical.
The ring at his door tore him away from his thoughts and when he opened the door, he’s a bit irritated at the big smile you wear.
“Hey.”
You sound so casually as you just barge inside. He closes the door behind.
“How long do you think this charade is going to work?” He questions
“I should be asking you the same question. I told you, I won't quit. I won’t stop trying to-”
“To what! Make me develop feelings for you. Do you realize how ridiculous that is? I’m a monster. I could gut you right here and I wouldn’t feel a thing.” He rises from his chair.
“Then why don’t you?” You tilt your head and his brows furrow.
“You seem to think that the only reason I’m doing this is to save Barry and the others. You’re right, a huge part of this is to protect them. I care about them. I won’t just sit here and watch you hurt them.” You walk closer, and he studies you.
“But the other part of me knows that you’re not as heartless as you claimed to be. “ You circle him.
“When you thought that I was on to you, you could have ended it all right there. But you let me live. It didn’t make sense. You know I’m from a different universe, so any harm to me wouldn’t even touch this timeline. Instead of getting rid of me, you made a deal.”
“I didn’t need the extra paperwork.” He says sarcastically.
You stop right in front of him.
“That’s not it. When I came here, you must have felt something. Even if it was just a spark, you felt it.”
“You're wrong.” He holds your gaze, but it isn’t the same.
“You’ve had feelings for me from the very start..” You whisper.
“No..NO!!”
He seems adamant on denying it. You move in, taking his hand and he visibly deflates. You lift his hand placing it right at the center of your chest, much like he’d done when he tried to coerce the truth out of you about his identity. His gaze doesn’t look as sure.
“Do it.”
He gulps. His hand is shaking and for once it’s not due to the vibrations.
“I can’t..”
He couldn’t believe this. How had he let this happen?
You take a step forward and when you hug him, his body is stiff. His hands fall at his side.
“I guess I did win..”
It’s not a boast, you sound just as surprised as he is right now. Your hands gently trail down his shoulders, laying right on his chest. When you leave a kiss on his neck, his eyes close, letting out a staggered breath. You keep trailing kisses along his skin. Along his neck, right on his cheek. Your fingers begin to drift down and that snaps him out of his trance. He grabs your hand, speeding out of the room. Your eyes open and you’re pinned to the bed, staring up at him.
“Stop.”
He warns.
You just grin.
“If you really wanted me to stop, why did you bring me to your bed?”
He’s about to object, but he takes in the space and you can see the shock on his face. You bite your lip, pushing him onto his back as you switch positions. Eobard just gapes.
“I’ve spent most of my life depriving myself of so much because I thought it was the only way to get what I wanted. I’m done with that. From now on I’m going to be honest about what I want. What I need. What I need right now is for you to make love to me.”
He’s not sure how to go about dealing with this situation.
You lean down, sliding your knee between his legs and he holds back a sharp hiss.
“Make love to me..” You coax.
Eobard grits his teeth, pulling you down for a desperate kiss. You smile, responding with just as much urgency.
That night ended with the both of you buried in his sheets. He can’t say for sure if it had truly happened. He vaguely remembers your soft moans of encouragement. His body connected to yours. It felt too real to be an illusion.
He woke the next morning to a note from you to meet him in the lab. It was six in the morning, he knew for a fact that no one else would be there. That’s why he’d discarded his chair and just ran over. You stood at the center with your machine on a trolley. The wind tossing your hair made you smile as you looked down. You didn’t turn to look at him, not at all. But he could hear the smile in your voice.
“I’m going back home. I already left my goodbyes for the rest of the team. If I see their faces I know I’ll lose my nerve. I left instructions for Cisco. After three days, he needs to destroy the machine to protect all of you. “ You finally turned around to face him.
“When I’m gone you have three days. Three days to decide if you want to have a better life, or if you want to be the big bad that Barry faces. I think you know as well as I do that if all that I’ve said is true, in the end, Barry will win.”
Eobard clenches his hand.
“I’m not going to force you, it’s your choice.”
It’s hard for you to deal with, but he needs to make the decision. It doesn’t stop the tears from coming. You move to him, reaching out, you hug him, because it’s possible that this is the last time you’ll ever be this close to him again. Your grip tightens, and you cry when he returns the embrace.
It hurts, more than you thought possible. You’d fallen so hard and fast for someone you should have resented.
Another lesson learned.
You pull back slowly, a bit astonished that there are actual tears in his eyes. You kiss him in hopes that the feeling will stay engraved in your mind. When you finally part, your breath is a bit staggered. You release him completely, moving away from him.
Eobard reaches out for you instinctively, and you shake your head, placing your hand on the button as you turn on the machine. A light sparks into the room, and when he sees the steady stream of lightning now emitting from your body, his eyes grow wide. You just smile.
“Come and find me.”
It’s the last words he hears before the room becomes quiet. Not a sound.
No sight of you anywhere.

Loved... (Barry Allen x reader)
Summary: How much more can you take?
Masterlist
If only you knew how long I'd wait
I watched Barry fall out of love with me. He didn’t know that I knew but I saw it on his face how fake it was. He was never meant to be with me he was meant to be with her.
If only he knew how patient I have been with him from the start, he told me he didn’t love her but here I am waiting for him to be honest with me
It makes me really angry when you can't relate
“I’m SO Done Barry!” I yelled at him
“So done with what y/n?” Barry asked
I glared at him trying not to cry. I feel the tears sting in the corner of my eye,
“Don’t act stupid with me Barry. I hate that you are not honest with me! I see it on your face all the time you aren’t in love with me and I’m tired of not feeling loved. I’m... so tired”
I look at him and he’s looking at the ground
“You can not look me in the eye right now without lying to me that you love me” I said swallowing the hard sob that forming in my throat
All my anger is building up
“You will always chose Iris. When she needs you you go running to her but when I need you, your never there”
Tears started running down my cheek
Makes me feel like you're living and I'm awake
I made him choose between me and Iris and he chose her.
I cried for hours
I could feel the silky sheets the soft pillow and all I could hear are faded echos of memories that were once in this apartment
So tell me where your heart is, tell me where you keep it, tell me where it stays

Partners in Crime #1
"Can I help you?"
"Yes, please! Where would I be able to find Mr. Allen?"
"Upstairs, take a left."
"Oh, great! Thank you very much!"
(Y/N) hurried up the nearby staircase in search of the man just mentioned.
"Look Joe, I wasn't expecting Iris to find someone while I was in a coma for 9 months. And now, I can't do anything, or I'd be ruining her happiness. And I don't want to be that guy." Nearing the slightly opened door labeled, "Forensic Analyst: Barry Allen" she heard two distinct male voices coming from inside.
"All I'm saying is that if you don't tell her soon, you might just lose your chance forever." The other voice warned, sympathetically.
"I know, I know. I just don't think this is the right time, when they're planning to move in together." The first voice reasoned.
Taking a deep breath, (Y/N) knocked on the door three times, to alert them of her presence. "Hello? I hope I'm not interrupting anything." She spoke peeking her head into the doorway.
Inside, she saw two men; one sitting down in a chair, with his face buried in his hands, and the other leaning against the table. They both turned to stare at the new voice in the room.
"Can I help you miss?" The older of the two asked. The other just stared blankly at the her.
"Actually, yes! I'm looking for Mr. Allen? I was supposed to meet him today at 11, but if I'm too early, I can always come back later. I just didn't want to be late for my first day at my new job and I really wanted to make a good impression. And I really didn't mean to intrude on your conversation, I am really sorry if I did…" (Y/N) could not stop her rambling, her anxiety and nervousness taking control. "I can just wait outside in the hallway if y’all aren’t done with your-"
"Woah, calm down and take a deep breath," the older man recommended, in amusement. She heaved a big breath in and out, before focusing back on the current situation.
"Sorry about that," she apologized. "I didn't mean to freak out like that, I'm just really nervous and really excited to start my new position here." She was practically bouncing in her spot. Anxiety and excitement was not a good combination, she noted.
"Don't worry about it." With a chuckle, the older man step forward and held out a hand. "I'm Joe West. I work as a detective here at the CCPD; my office is downstairs."
"Very nice to meet you, sir! I'm (Y/F/N) (Y/L/N). I just moved here from Starling City." She replied, shaking his hand.
"Starling, really?" Joe asked, the surprise evident on his face.
"Yeah, it's not such a bad city if you get past the bad guys and all that," she shrugged, making it seem like no big deal. "I'm mean sure it's not really safe to walk around at night, and the crime rate is really high. And everyone walks around with pepper spray. Or a taser if you really want to splurge.” Both the men’s eyes widened. “Oh, but it's a lot better now because of the Arrow and the other crime-fighting vigilantes/heroes.” She assured them.
"Well, it was nice meeting you Ms. (Y/L/N)."
"Oh please sir, call me (Y/N), or anything else. Ms. (Y/L/N) makes me sound so old."
"Then, in that case, call me Joe and you got a deal." The two nodded in agreement and Joe continued, "If you need anything you can find me downstairs." Nodding to the younger man, Joe left the room closing the door behind him.
The remaining two stared at the door, lost in their own world and thoughts. The man chose to break the silence first.
"I'm Barry, by the way. Nice to meet you (Y/N)."
She shook his hand eagerly. "Oh, Mr. Allen! I'm (Y/N) (Y/L/N)! But you already knew that, of course. I'm so sorry to intrude into your room like this, I just was really excited to meet you. And, I normally don't ramble this much, or maybe I do, but I'll try to control it the best I can if it bothers you too much-"
"Breathe (Y/N). And don’t worry about it. I tend to ramble a lot too.” He smiled warmly. "And call me Barry. Mr. Allen makes me feel old too, and we seem like we're the same age."
"If you say so Mr. Al-,” Barry rose his brow. “I mean Barry," she corrected herself. "Well, it’s so nice to meet you! I know that you must be really busy, so let me know what you want me to do and I'll be out of your way!"
"Actually, it's been a slow day today since we don’t have any cases in investigation at the moment. How 'bout I give you a tour of the station instead?" he suggested, "I mean, if you haven’t seen all of it yet."
(Y/N)’s eyes lit up at the suggestion, "That would be great! By the way, do you know a good coffee shop near here? I haven't been able to go searching for one with all the moving and chaos."
Barry shot her a smile, while gathering his things. "You know, I was just about to head out, myself, for a cup. I know just the place,"
—
(Jitters)
"Could I get an Americano in the biggest size you have?" (Y/N) could see Barry's amused face from her peripheral, "What? I haven't had coffee in, literally, three days."
Barry raised his arms in surrender, "I didn't say anything."
"Yeah, but you thought it."
Barry laughed while she shifted through her purse for her wallet.
"I got this." He assured her, when he saw her take out her card.
"No, I'll buy it, you were the one to show me around."
"Nope. I already got it." He said, handing over his card to the worker.
She sighed in defeat. "Fine, you win this round. But expect an extra large cup of hazelnut mocha on your desk on Monday." (Y/N) forewarned him.
Both smiling, they moved to a nearby table waiting for their order. And before they knew it, their coffees were placed in front of them by a petite woman with a big smile on her face.
"Barry, who's this?"
"Iris! Umm, this is (Y/N), my new forensic analyst partner. (Y/N), this is Iris, my best friend and Joe’s daughter." Barry introduced the two. (Y/N) could see the Barry’s face light up at the woman in front of her.
"Nice to meet you (Y/N)! Are you new to the city? I haven't seen you around before, and I never forget a face."
"I just moved here from Starling a few days ago, actually. The boss has been showing me around the city before we came here." She threw Barry a smile.
"By the way, I'm sorry if I'm being nosy, but are you a model? You look really pretty, which makes me not want to stand next to you." She asked with a sincere look on her face.
"Me? Ha ha, I'm really flattered but sadly no, I'm not. I actually work at the Central City Times and am a part-timer here when free." Iris turned to Barry with a grin. "I like her!"
"Since your new to the city, do you want to hang out sometime, just us girls? I love Barry and all, but I am in dire need of a close girlfriend to talk with. I’ll show you around the best places.”
"Of course! You literally read my mind!" (Y/N) nodded enthusiastically. "I have a feeling this is the start of a wonderful friendship!"
During their conversation, she learned about Barry’s relationship with the West family and his recent wake from his 9-month coma. She had only heard of the effects of the particle accelerator explosion from the paper, since no one in Starling was directly affected. And Iris shared about her relationship with Eddie and more about her job at the paper. Eventually, she had to go back to work and gave (Y/N) a friendly hug before returning behind the counter.
"Let me guess. You like her and she doesn't know. And you can’t tell her because she’s already in love with this Eddie guy, and you don't want to ruin your friendship?" (Y/N)’s question snapped Barry out of his lingering stare at Iris working, and he looked at her, embarrassed.
"Is it that obvious?"
"Eh, kind of. I’m good at noticing things. And I kind of heard the last part of your conversation with Joe earlier when I was about to knock on your door."
He sighed. “I've tried telling her multiple times but she always finds a way to change the conversation into one about being like brother and sister and how I should be comfortable with telling her about girls and my nonexistent love life." She could see the sadness in his eyes as he let out another sigh.
(Y/N) leaned over and patted his back in sympathy. "Well, I say it's never too late until she says "I do", so I think you still have time. But man, you were sibling-zoned by her. That's even worse than the friend-zone."
"Well, I think you're wrong." He shook his head in disagreement. "It is too late. I've tried every way to tell her, dropping hints and what not, but she doesn't even have a clue. And even if she did, she hasn't said anything about it. She doesn’t think of me anymore than a brother."
"Well, I wish I could help you, friend. But unfortunately, I’m not Cupid." She looked at him with pity in her eyes.
Suddenly, Barry turned to her, his eyes widening by the second. Seeing his reaction she thought of the worst. "Is it too soon? Should I have said acquaintance instead of friend? Sorry if I got a little ahead of myself."
Barry interrupted her with enthusiasm, "No, that's not it. Of course we're friends. I was reacting to the part about you wanting to help me."
"It's just a figure of speech, I don't really think I should get into the middle of your love life situ-"
"Please?" Barry pleaded. "You're a girl."
"Yes, Barry, I think we've already established that I am a girl. I'm kinda hurt you thought otherwise. I mean, sure I'm not as pretty as Iris, but I don't think I’m that unattractive to be mistaken for a guy." She continued her stream of consciousness, rambling on. "I mean, Iris is a pretty high standard to meet, but not everyone is pretty like her, Barry. And I'm glad you figured out my gender now before later in the future, or we could've had a pretty awkward situation. I thought having longer hair would be an good indicator of my-"
"(Y/N), stop. You really do really ramble a lot." He grinned. "What I meant was, that you have a mind of a girl, and so you could help me confess to Iris, or at least help her to figure out my feelings for her." He explained, trying to prevent her from rambling again.
"Oh, ha ha ha. I knew that."
"…"
"Okay I didn't, but fine. I'll help you with your unrequited love life since we are friends and because I've been in your shoes. But whatever happens, I refuse to take the blame for it and you better not be mad at me if things don't turn out the way you want."
"Of course." Barry smiled with relief, succeeding in persuading her to help him.
"Well, it was nice talking to you, but I should go home and finish unpacking my stuff. I'll see you Monday, with an extra large cup of hazelnut mocha in hand," she said, getting up from her seat.
"Yeah, sure. See you around partner."
"Bye, partner-in-crime. Ha, get it? Because we help solve crimes. Which is the opposite of what it normally means.”
Barry just shook his head in amusement, as she walked away.
"(Y/N)." Barry called out as she reached for the door.
Turning back, she raised her brow at her new friend..
"By the way, you're pretty too. And whoever that guy was, was an idiot for not liking you back.”
—
A/N: I ramble a lot too. So I really connect with (Y/N) lol. Also, the timeline for this story isn’t going to follow the series exactly. Thanks for reading!

My Hero
A/N: Oh my goodness another Barry Allen fic!
Request: from @avengers-and-jedis “GOSH YOUR BARRY ALLEN FIC WAS ADORABLE! Can you write one with an artist!reader! (Ezra’s Barry please) Thank you!” Thank you so much! This was an amazing idea and I’m so glad you requested it! Remember if you have a request to send it!
Pairing: Barry Allen/The flash x reader
Description: You just need inspiration for your next piece. That’s when your boyfriend, Barry, comes to save the day.
Warnings: Swearing, like always
You sighed in frustration and threw your pencil at the wall. Groaning, you put your forehead on your desk. “This is so stupid...” you muttered to yourself, closing your eyes.
There was a knock at the apartment door. You stood up and walked out of your office, opening up the door. There stood your boyfriend, anxiously waiting with his hands behind his back.
“Hey babe,” you said, smiling up at him.
“Hey,” he replied, putting an arm around your waist. He pulled you into him and kissed your forehead.
You sighed and put your head on his chest.
“What’s wrong?”
“You know that art project I have to do for class?”
“Yeah.”
“Well it’s due in a week and I haven’t even started it.”
“Oh.” Barry frowned. He knew how important this project was. It would determine if you passed or not.
“Yeah, I guess I just haven’t found the inspiration for it yet,” you mumbled.
You walked into your apartment and sat down on your couch, Barry sitting next to you. You put your head on his shoulder and closed your eyes. He put an arm around your waist and put his head on yours.
“This is so frustrating.”
“You need any help?”
“No, it’s fine. I guess I’ll just fail the class,” you paused. “I’m not even that good of an artist anyways.”
Barry lifted up his head and turned to look at you. He put a hand on your cheek and made you look at him.
“That’s not true.”
“Well...” you whispered, your voice trailing off.
“Y/N, you’re one of the most talented people I know. You may be the most talented person I know. Just because you don’t have inspiration for this project doesn’t make you a bad artist. I promise you’re going to get an A, and you’re going to pass this class,” he told you, smiling.
“Thanks,” you sighed, leaning in and lightly pressing your lips to his. You smiled into the kiss. You may have finally found an idea for your project.
-----
A week later, you handed in your project to your professor.
“This is amazing, Miss L/N,” she told you, admiring your art. “You wouldn’t mind if I put this in tomorrow night’s art contest, would you?”
You smiled. “No, not at all.”
She smiled back. “Wonderful, I’ll see you then.”
-----
“Barry, come on!” You yelled, anxiously tapping your foot. “We’re gonna be late!”
Just then, your boyfriend walked out of your room, putting on his jacket. “Okay, I’m here.”
“You know, for being the fastest man alive, I would’ve expected you to find your jacket a lot sooner,” you snickered, looking at him.
“Oh, well I’m sorry I couldn’t find the jacket you stole from me.”
“Well, I’m sorry it’s so comfortable,” you giggled, sticking out your hand. “Now, come on, before we really are late.”
He grabbed your hand and intertwined your fingers. “Whatever you say, babe.”
You both walked out of your apartment building and into the cold December night. You knew you only had to walk a few blocks to get to the art contest, but damn it was cold.
Barry saw you shiver and threw his arm over your shoulder. “You know, we could get there a lot quicker if-”
“No, Barry,” you said, cutting him off. “You’re not allowed to use your super speed.”
“Damn.”
You giggled and kissed his cheek. “We’re almost there, anyway.”
Barry smiled to himself as the two of you crossed the street. You walked down the sidewalk in silence until the faint sound of classical music could be heard. As you turned the corner, hundreds of people came into view.
You smiled to yourself as Barry removed his arm from your shoulder.
“Y/N!” You heard someone shout as you turned around. Your best friend, Angelica (sorry if that’s your name, just change it I guess), came running up to you. She jumped into you, throwing her arms around your neck. “You made it! Took you long enough.”
“Sorry.”
“Doesn’t matter. They’re announcing the winners of the art contest in ten minutes!” She yelled, grabbing your wrist. “We have to go see who won!”
You looked back a Barry and gave him an apologetic look before Angelica pulled you away from him.
Angelica pulled you to the area where they had all the art out. You smiled to yourself, seeing your professor standing next to your painting. She looked at you and waved, indicating she wanted to talk.
You walked up to her and smiled. “Mrs. Smith! Thank you so much!”
“Oh, it’s not a problem, dear! You are an amazing artist, after all.”
You blushed and looked at the ground. “Well, I wouldn’t say amazing...”
“Nonsense! You’re one of my best students! You have such an amazing talent, I’m surprised you haven’t won some kind of award! Speaking of which-”
“All art contest judges are needed at the judging table,” said a voice over the speakers.
“Oh, that’s me! I’m so sorry. I hope you have a wonderful night!” She waved and walked off, leaving you alone. You decided to go find Angelica again since she managed to wander farther away from you than expected.
As you were walking through the crowds of people, you ran into someone. You stumbled backward and would’ve fallen if they hadn’t caught you.
“Oh my god I’m so sorry I didn’t-”
You looked up and saw your boyfriend rambling with such an apologetic look on his face. You giggled and stood up, leaning forward and setting your lips on his.
“You should really watch where you’re going, Barry.”
He looked at you with admiration in his eyes before he wrapped his arms around your waist. “You’re one to talk, L/N.”
He pressed his lips to yours and you smiled. Leaning into the kiss, you ran a hand through his hair.
“We are now announcing the winners of the art show!” The same voice as before said.
You pulled away from Barry. “That’s my cue.”
You grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the crowd around the judging table.
“I would like to thank everyone for coming out tonight!” Mrs. Smith began. “I am amazed at all the artwork that was put in the contest! Sadly, only one of you can get first. I would like to congratulate that award to...”
“...Miss Y/N L/N!”
You threw your hands up to cover your mouth in excitement. Barry looked at you with the widest grin on his face. “That’s you, babe.”
You slowly started to walk up towards the judging table.
“Congratulations, Miss, L/N,” Mrs. Smith said, handing you your trophy and painting.
“Thank you.” You smiled and walked up to her, wrapping your arms around her and pulling her into a hug. “Thank you, so much.”
“No problem, dear.”
You heard everyone around you clapping, but all of it drowned out with the pounding sound of your heartbeat.
-----
After the crowd cleared, you ran towards Barry.
“I won!” You exclaimed as you jumped into him.
“I know. I was there.” He smirked and wrapped his arms around your waist as you jumped up and wrapped your legs around his. “I’m proud of you.”
“I couldn’t have done it without you, Barry.”
“Why’s that?”
“Well,” you began, resting your forehead on his. “You were my inspiration.”
He gave you a questionable look.
“I painted you, Barry. I painted you and that god damn award winning smile.”
“I’m flattered.”
You giggled and gently pecked his lips. “I wouldn’t have won that award without you. You’re really a hero, Barry. You’re my hero.”
-----
That felt rushed and was probably trash but I hope you liked it!

Okay so, I don't think this is going to reach the right audience but I'm writing a Barry Allen fanfic on AO3 and wanted to see if anyone on Tumblr would be interested in reading and/or reviewing it? I've got almost 40k words written so far and it's nineteen chapters long, I've got twenty-two already I just haven't posted those yet. I post about once a week and I don't know how long I plan on making it.
This is the link to it, it's kind of triggering and does branch off from canon but I still love it. Anyways if any of yall check it out please let me know what you think!!

Stole my heart (Barry Allen x reader)
•Masterlist•
A/n: Request are open so if you want you can leave suggestions or if you just want to say anything you can leave that as well. Also Thank you to people who follow me and support me I really appreciate it!!!!
Summary: The reader and Barry have been friends for a long time but what happens when Barry starts realizing that he likes you more then friends, will the reader feel the same or will this ruin there friendship
|Thursday 4:50 p.m.|
One of the horrible things of being best friends with Barry Allen is that he is incredibly late always.
I don’t even know how’s that possible I mean he’s the fastest man alive and yet he manages to be late.
Anyways we were supposed to meet up in CC Jitters about 45 minutes ago but he’s clearly late and I’m starting to get really inpatient, I’m ready to head to S.T.A.R Labs because I’ll probably see him there and be really upset with him.
I checked my phone and it’s about to be 50 minutes that he had left me here in Jitters without any call or text message. GREAT!!
“Hey Y/N you want anything or your still waiting on someone” Stacy asks with a pen and notebook in her hand
“Hey Stacy I’ll just get one Flash and a Carmel Ice coffee” I said with a smile
“Will that be it” Stacy asks
“Yea Thank you” I said she nodded and walked away with my order
I sigh Barry hasn’t came yet, I take out my journal from my backpack and start drawing in it to distract me from the fact that my best friend left me hanging,
Stacy came and left the coffees on the table and I payed her and thanked her before she left she said if I needed someone to talk to she’s around. I nodded and kept drawing I minded my own business

until I heard the door bell jingle but I ignored it because I know it’s not Barry but clearly I was wrong because I could hear an awkward voice saying excuse me and sorry and I also hear footsteps approaching me
“Y/N I’m so sorry I’m late I was caught up in CCPD and I forgot we had planned to hang out today” Barry said rambling and nervously rubbing his back of his neck
I looked at him with one eyebrow raised and I tilted my head a little bit to look at him I rolled my eyes and looked back at my journal
“Your almost one hour late Barr and I ordered that coffee 5 minute ago” I said clearly upset for being stood up
“Look Y/N I’m really sorry, I forgot until Joe kinda reminded me” Barry said
I glared at him and closed my journal and set it aside, I took a deep breath
“I hate that I can’t stay mad at you for a long time” I say really annoyed at myself
“That’s because I’m your best friend” Barry said with a big smile
“Yeah I know”
“Okay so what are we going to do this weekend” Barry asked
“I don’t know I mean we could literally do anything” I said taking a sip from my coffee
“I mean we could watch a movie or go bowling” Barry said with excitement
“Barr I don’t really care what we do, I just want to take a break from S.T.A.R Labs to be able to relax” I said looking at him he nodded
“Yeah it’s been a little crazy” Barry said
“Hey why don’t we just go bowling we used to do that when we were kids” I said with a smile on my face
“I like that idea how about we go on Saturday In the afternoon” Barry asked
“Yes! We should also invite Iris we haven’t hanged out as a trio in a long time”
“I don’t think we should invite iris I mean we could always do it with her next time ” Barry said trying to make me understand
“I mean we could but why don’t you want to invite iris” I asked curiously
“I mean we haven’t hanged out together in a really long time and I kinda just wanted both of us to go out” Barry said rubbing the back of his neck
“Okay we don’t have to invite iris we could always go somewhere else with her next time”
“I just really want both of us to spent more time together” Barry added taking a sip from his coffee
“Barry were literally always together, I mean ever since iris started dating her coworker from CCPN you have been acting a little bit weird”
I said looking at him and he’s looking away from me. I decided to ask him if he still had feeling for her because I don’t know if he’s still in love with her
“Barry do you still feeling for Iris” I asked curious
“No I haven’t had those feeling for her since last year I mean I told her I loved her so I can move on and I have”Barry said nervously
“Aaa huh”
“Okay if you say so” I said I was going to say something until I got interrupted by mine and Barry’s phone ringing I looked at Barry and I gathered all my things and Barry pulled me so we could walk outside and he checked both sides making sure no one was watching
“Barry don’t you da-“ I didn’t finish because I picked up and speeded off
“Sorry” Barry said
I coughed trying to catch my breath from Barry speeding me to S.T.A.R Labs after a few minutes I took a beep breath I stood back up and punched Barry in the arm
“Owwww” Barry said rubbing his arm trying to make his small injury better
“Don’t ever do that again” I said in a serious tone
Barry let out a small chuckle I glared at him we started waking to the cortex I saw Cisco and Caitlin near the computer Cisco turned around and saw us
“Finally you two lovebirds take forever” Cisco said I glared at him as well
“What’s going on” Barry asked ignoring Cisco
“We’re got an alert that someone broke into Mercury Labs but it went away and I’m trying to figure out if it was a fake or real alert” Cisco explained
“So it was a falls alarm” I asked
“Could have been but we’re not sure” Cisco said
“I was trying to see if I could contact Tina McGee to see if there something wrong at Mercury Labs” Caitlin said worried
We were all trying to figure out what’s going on but it turns out that it was all just a fake alert that we didn’t need to worry about anything. I had went home that night but before I had left Barry said not to forget about our plans but I could never.
|Saturday 6:40 p.m.|
I was getting ready to go out with Barry I looked in the mirror one last time and I walked into my living room making sure I had everything in my purse and now I just waited for Barry to come pick me up which I know he’s going to be late as usual .

I’m glad we get to spend time together again I mean we have been dealing with all lot of meta-humans and I know Barry has gone through all lot of things and I have been there for him for a pretty long time
My thoughts were brought out of, when I heard a knock of my door I looked at the time and it was |6:55 p.m.| Barry pretty early I mean he’s supposed to be here at 7
I walked towards the door and checked the peep hole to make sure it was Barry and it was I opened the door
“Hey Barr I didn’t know you were going to get here early” I said surprised and confused
“Yea I thought maybe for once I was early, I mean this is important to me and I care about being on time even though I was kinda a hour late last time and I have also forgotten multiple things but what I’m trying to say is that for once mayb-“
I let out a small laugh and interrupted him, he never knows when to stop talking
“Barr I’m glad your early” I said with a smile on my face
Barry started turning a little bit red and kept his mouth shut
“I’ll grab my purse and we can leave” I said grabbing my purse and keys I went back to Barry and we walked outside my door I locked it to make sure no one gets in and we left
|15 minutes later|
Me and Barry were walking towards the bowling alley we had parked my Jeep at the parking lots
“I’m so gonna beat you” I said with a smirk on my face
“Oh is that so” Barry said raising one of my brows
“I always beat you and Iris when we were kids” I said smiling
I remembered all the times I beat both of them and they always thought I was cheating but they both just hated losing.
Me and Barry went inside and we payed for the 2 hours as well we ordered drinks, pizza and fries we got our shoes and went towards our lane
I took off my other shoes and put on the bowling shoes. Barry brought the drinks and fries and placed them on the table and started getting ready
“Ready to lose Allen” I said with a smirking face
“More like are you ready to lose” Barry said
I rolled my eyes and drink some of my lemonade. I got up and put the information to get the game started I turned around and looked at Barry
“You ready Allen” I said with my game face
“Always, what about you Y/L/N” Barry said
“May the best player win” I said and extended my arm we shook hands
I went up first and I just missed 1 pin Barry went and he missed 4 pins. Let’s just say we’re both really competitive and we both wanted to win, we went at it for a hour until we took and break and ate food
“It feels nice to relax and have fun for once” I said with a smile on face while taking a bite from my pizza
“Yea, I really miss hanging out with you I mean we always in S.T.A.R Labs worrying about meta-humans” Barry says
“I’m really enjoying our evening” I said
“So am I but hopefully we get to be able to do it every few weeks” Barry said I nodded because I liked the idea of that
“Alright let’s finish this once and for all” I said getting up and grabbing the bowling ball and rolling it to the pins
We went at it again and in the end I won the game but Barry was really close we through away our trash and returned our shoes we got our own shoes on and I went to the bathroom before we left after I came back out I saw Barry waiting for me
“Your actually getting really good Barr but I still won” I said proudly
“Yea whatever” Barry said nudging my shoulder
“You just hate losing” I said with a smirk on my face
“how about I give you a prize since you won” Barry said I looked at him suspiciously
“Really your going to give me a prize” I said looking at him he nodded
“How about we go to the ice cream shop and Ill pay for both of our ice cream” Barry said
“ I like the sound out that” I said we grabbed our stuff and headed out for ice cream when we got there I ordered vanilla ice cream with some small pieces of cheesecake in them and Barry ordered vanilla ice cream with some gummy bears.
We both decided we should eat our ice cream at the park so I drove us to the park and we walked around the park
we were laughing and cracking jokes thats when Barry decided to stop us and we sat on one of the benches he looked really nervous
“What’s wrong Barr” I asked
“Nothing nothing is wrong” Barry said very nervous
“Barry I know you for a long time so I know when your acting weird so tell me what’s wrong” I said facing him he took a deep breath and faced me
“I-“ Barry stopped himself and tried to figure out what to say
“I don’t know how to tell you Y/N” Barry said
“Tell me what” I asked curious
“I’m in love with you, I have been for a long time and I know you don’t feel the same way because you always talk about how we’re just friend-“ Barry kept rambling
I spaced out ‘I love Barry too but I never thought that he’ll actually love me back I thought he loved iris I mean he’s telling me he’s love me and I didn’t say anything’
“And it’s okay if you don’t feel the same way we can just go back to being friends because I know that’s what you wan-“ before Barry can finished I pushed my lips on his he froze and then kissed me back we were actually kissing each other and it felt right
Like he was my missing piece i placed my hand on his shoulder but I slowly pulled away and we had our forehead touching
“I love you too Barr” I said softly with a smile on my face he smiled and kissed me again I kissed back and it turned very passionate. For once in my life I felt complete and safe. Barry is everything to me and I finally get to say that I’m home.
When we went to my apartment we ended up watching a movie while cuddling, kissing, complementing each other.
Barry wanted to make it official so we decided to be a couple but we both can’t seem to stop smiling and kissing each other but I’m fine with it because he’s my home, my soulmate, my everything.
It’s official Barry Allen stole my heart.

Till Death Do Us Part: A Barry Allen Fan Fiction
Chapter 7: Mist-ery
Word Count: 4,391
“Regular movie scale that was a seven or an eight. Zombie movie scale, it was, like, a four, tops.” Barry exclaimed walking out of the theater.
“There’s a zombie movie scale?” Iris asked.
“Of course there is Iris. With Barry there’s also the ‘romance movie scale’, ‘comedy scale’, ‘action movie scale’, the list goes on and on.” I said bumping shoulders with Barry.
“Did you know that zombies exist in nature?”
I gasped, “That species of fungi that infects ants.” Barry nodded his head vigorously,
“Mhm, which causes those ants to attack plants that can release spores,”
“-which in turn infect new hosts.” Barry and I finished together.
“We went full nerd again, didn’t we?” I asked looking over at Iris.
“Yep.” she answered with a grin on her face.
“Yeah,” Barry muttered looking at the floor.
“It’s okay though. You two are still the cutest nerds I know.” Iris continued.
“Wait, does that mean we’re tied or…”
“Monica you’re obviously in first place,” Barry let out a groan. “Sorry Bare, you just can’t compete with a blonde.”
I let out a hum as a smile spread across my face. “I missed this.”
“Me too.”
“Me three. Anyways,” Iris continued blabbering, “I’m a lot more interested in the amazing as of late.”
“You mean cause of this “Streak thing?” Barry asked unimpressed.
“He’s out there. People are talking about him.” Iris pushed.
“How do you even know he’s a he? Maybe it’s a she” Barry retorted.
“A female superhero? I like the sounds of that.” I added.
“It’s a man, okay?” Iris stated.
“Yep, definitely a man.”
Barry turned to face me. “And how would you know that?”
I smiled, “Cause, I’ve seen him before-”
“Really?!” Iris exclaimed.
“Mhm.”
“I knew I was intuitive about this kind of stuff! And besides even if you don’t believe Monica there’s plenty of pictures online.” Iris pulled out her phone, “Here, what do you see?” Iris flipped her phone so that its screen faced Barry and I.
Suddenly a somewhat familiar face popped up on the screen, according to the contact list on Iris’ phone it was Eddie Thawne. That officer from the news… I thought to myself.
“I see your boyfriend’s calling.” Barry bluntly stated.
Iris looked at her phone, “Oh, I should probably get this. I’m crashing at his place tonight he’s supposed to leave a key for me somewhere.” She said accepting the call and walking away.
“Boyfriend?” I whispered to Barry, “Isn’t he Joe’s partner. How is he okay with this?”
Barry turned to me with a tight lip smile, “Well, technically Joe doesn’t know, really I shouldn’t know either, and now you do so-” Barry’s rambling was caught off by his own phone ringing. “Hello.”
I stared at Barry as I tried to listen in on the conversation, apparently along with the ability to fly I also have super-hearing.
“Code 237 on Waid Blvd.” Cisco’s voice said through the phone.
“Public indecency?” Barry asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
“Wait I think I meant 239.” Cisco mumbled.
I couldn’t help but laugh which caused Barry to stare at me, “Dog leash violation?”
“Bad man with a gun in a getaway car.” Caitlin explained interrupting Cisco.
“Go.” I said, raising my eyebrows. Barry flashed off, leaving me to make sure Iris would not find out about his absence. Anxiously I tapped my foot. What if he doesn’t come back before she hangs up. What if she realizes he’s gone. What if she founds out he’s ‘The Streak’! Suddenly a gust of cool air blew my hair around and Barry was by my side.
“I’ll see you later. Bye.” Iris hung up and turned to face us. “Eddie says Hi.” Barry shoved his hands in his pockets.
“Nice of him.” Barry replied almost a little too chipper, “You guys wanna go grab a bite? I’m feeling a little famished.” Barry asked.
“After the mongolian barbecue we had before the movie and the extra large popcorn you had during the movie?” Barry shrugged his shoulders at Iris’ comment.
“It’s a- um- side effect of being struck by lightning.” I explained to Iris, “Yup, sometimes after going into a lightning induced coma the body feels the need to make up for lost time.”
“How are you not fat?” Iris exclaimed staring at Barry.
“I’ve been… jogging.” I snorted at Barry’s statement before all three of us walked away from the theatre.
“I just don’t understand why you couldn’t have invited us to the movie.” Cisco whined.
“Well number one, you and Cait aren’t my only friends. And number two, Iris doesn’t really know that Barry’s still coming here. As far as she’s concerned, you two don’t exist in Barry’s life anymore.” Cisco frowned at my response.
“Woah, way to be gentle with your delivery.” he spat.
“Aww, sorry Costco.”
“I hate you.”
“I know.”
“Monica?” I turned my head to face Caitlin, “Mind if I use some of your knowledge for… research?”
I crossed my arms, “Lay it on me.”
Caitlin giggled, “Barry, what was he like in high school.”
I rolled my eyes, “You know, whenever you asked for my help I thought you wanted to hear something worthwhile.”
“This is worthwhile so spill.”
“Ugh, fine. But you’re not getting anything else out of me. Understood?”
“Mhm”
“Well you know that windswept, gelled up, quip-of-a-hairstyle he has now?” Caitlin nodded. “Yeah I have no clue when they came into existence, because the last time I saw him before I left for college he had the worst shaggy hairstyle.” Caitlin cringed. “Exactly.”
“Anything else?” She pressed.
“Nope, besides the hair and the speed nothing has changed about Barry. At least that I know of.”
“Talking ‘bout me?” A voice asked from the entrance of the cortex.
“Of course, who else would we be talking about.” I teased Barry as I turned to face him.
“Well good thing you guys aren’t busy cause I really need your help.” he said.
Barry spent about fifteen minutes explaining the case and everything he knew about the new meta we were about to face. “Fascinating, a metahuman that can manipulate poison gas.” Dr. Wells spoke.
“Is it just poisonous gas, or can he control all aerated substances?” Cisco questioned.
“And how is he able to formulate the connection?” Caitlin inquired as I looked over at her, “Is it physiological or psychological?”
When I looked up from my computer I saw Joe give Barry a confused look to which he just shrugged his shoulders.
“This individual can create a mental nexus using gaseous substances.” Dr. Wells continued. Suddenly, Cisco’s ‘geeky smile’ appeared.
“You mean connect with gases on a molecular level?” Cisco chuckled.
“Yes.” Dr. Wells replied excitedly.
“That’s really cool.” Cisco and Dr. Wells’ exchange seemed to confuse Joe even more.
“They, or should I say we, get really excited about this stuff. I mean how could you not get excited about science?” I exclaimed.
“The only thing I’m excited about is putting criminals behind bars.” Joe stated bluntly, “Except Iron Heights isn’t exactly equipped to handle metahumans.”
“Then I guess it’s fortunate the ones you've encountered so far are no longer with us.” As usual the room tensed up once Joe and Dr. Wells began going back and forth, passive aggressively arguing with each other.
“Well, unless we’re planning on executing every super criminal we stop, you geniuses are gonna have to come up with someplace else to hold them.”
“A metahuman prison. Sweet.” I rolled my eyes at Cisco’s enthusiasm.
“Until we figure a way to remove their powers.” I added.
“There is one place here that might hold them.”
“You can’t be serious.”
“I mean we haven’t been down their since the-” Caitlin cut herself off, trying her best to not remember anything, “It’s cordoned off.”
“Cisco’s right, it could be modified to act as a makeshift prison.” Dr. Wells interrupted.
“Great, I can't wait to work right above an albatraoz of super-criminals.” Apparently my sarcastic comment was not welcomed by Dr. Wells, he glared at me for a few seconds before Barry spoke.
“What could?”
“The Particle Accelerator.” Everyone fell silent. These days using the words particle and accelerator together is basically tabu. I looked over to Caitlin who was staring at the wall in front of her with a blank expression.
“Caitlin.” I shook her shoulder, “Cait.” Caitlin shook her head and looked towards us.
“Did you hear me?” Dr. Wells asked, “We’re going down to the accelerator ring.”
“Actually Dr. Wells,” Barry interrupted, “I could use Caitlin’s help identifying the poison gas.”
“Okay. Monica will you be heading down with Cisco and I?”
“N-no, I’m alright. I, um, I actually need some fresh air so I’ll get go-” as I stood up from my chair and turned to walk away, a hand grasped around my wrist.
“Monica, come with us.” Barry pleaded, but I shook my head.
“I’m sorry, but I really should get going I have a few errands to run.” I slid my hand out of his and walked out of the cortex, flying off once I reached the parking lot.
I landed on a street a few blocks away from the Central City Mall, strolling over and stopping in some of the smaller shops on the way there. About thirty minutes later I was standing in a flower shop when a distant voice rang through my ears. “May god have mercy on your soul.” Then there was gasping. Someone’s dying, I have to call Cisco, or Barry- Then it dawned on me, Barry wouldn’t get there on time. And from the sounds of it I was only thirty seconds away. So, I dropped my bags and ran out the store, flying as fast as I could towards the gasping sound. I found myself floating in front of a glass elevator filled with a green gas, inside a woman was slowly falling to the ground. “Come on Monica, think fast, think fast.” I punched the glass creating a decent size hole allowing the gas to escape once the elevator let out a bing, reaching its final destination. I landed on the platform rushing into the elevator once the doors opened, rushing over to the woman who was laying on the floor. I checked for a pulse. Then a gust of air tickled my neck. “Barry, what the hell are you doing here?”
“I could ask the same about you.” He whispered back while looking around the mall. Then, he flashed off leaving me alone surrounded by security and customers. Security and customers! Damn it Monica! You messed up again! I thought to myself as I tried to find a way out. Carefully I rummaged through the woman’s bag to find a pair of black reading glasses. “Perfect.” I put the glasses on as I stood up and slowly strolled away, whispering to one of the security guards that the women was still alive and needed to be sent to the hospital. Once I was far enough from the mall I let my feet leave the grown and slowly flew home.
I kicked off my flats once I walked in the door and ran into my bedroom to change clothes. For all I knew somebody would've taken a picture of me, and with the reputation of most superhumans at the moment in Central City if anyone found out that was me I’d be the city’s newest enemy. I slipped on my STAR Labs sweatshirt and a pair of leggings, throwing my hair in a bun while I wiggled my toes into a pair of flip flops. This time I drove to work for the first time in nine months. It was different and kind of nice, but nothing can beat the feeling of cool city air rushing against your face. I parked my car as close as I could to the entrance and strolled over to the cortex.
“When do you think he’ll wake up?” I heard Cisco ask before I rounded the corner.
“I don’t know, it could take-” Once I made it to the entrance of the cortex I was met with the sight of Barry sound asleep in the same bed he was stuck in for nine months.
“What happened to him?” I yelled, looking around at the other scientists in the room.
“Barry inhaled some of the gas so we could get a sample.” Dr. Wells explained.
“I had to perform a pulmonary biopsy on him but we couldn’t put him under anesthetics so he-”
“Passed out. I get it. It’s just hard to see him like that again.” I whispered walking up to Barry, “You know what I mean?” I asked, looking over my shoulder at Caitlin.
“Yeah. Yeah, I know what you mean.” She murmured with a tight lip smile.
I looked back down at Barry. As much as I hated seeing him like this, he looked so peaceful. Like all the weight of the world had been lifted off his shoulders. Like he wasn’t running around Central City trying to be a superhero. Like he didn’t have a dark past.
Suddenly his eyes started to flutter open, and he let out a groan.
“The streak lives.” Cisco said cracking a smile.
“You’d be dead if your lung cells didn’t regenerate so quickly.” Caitlin spoke in a monotone voice.
“My chest feels like that one time I had a cigarette.” Barry muttered as I let out a giggle.
“Teen you did live for danger, didn’t he?” I joked as I ruffled Barry’s hair.
“And apparently you do now.” Barry stared at me with a knowing look.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Cisco asked, barging into the conversation.
“Barry, we can talk about this later.”
“Well, now that we have the sample, we’ll get to work analyzing it, figure out the makeup of the poison, maybe get a clue as to his human identity.” Dr. Wells said attempting to get us back on task.
“Or at least a way to stop him from turning into a mist.” Cisco continued, “The Mist. Okay that’s his name. End of discussion.”
“Great. Monica,” I turned my head to face Barry, “You and I can talk about that thing.” Barry started to get out of the bed.
“You should be resting.” Dr. Wells said scolding Barry.
“I have work to do at the station too.”
“Don’t worry Dr. Wells,” I gave him a reassuring smile, “I’ll go with him. I know who to call if anything happens.”
Once Barry and I walked out of the back doors of STAR Labs a gust of cool night air hit me, making me shiver.
“So, how’d you get on a crime scene?” Barry questioned, raising his eyebrows.
“I saved that lady’s life.” I exclaimed letting out a chuckle.
“You saved her life? Monica, you were on a crime scene then left without being questioned. Do you know what that makes you?”
“A hero?”
“No! No, it makes you a suspect.”
“Well you always leave crime scenes without being questioned and you’ve earned the title of ‘The Streak’.”
“That’s because I hide behind a mask! That’s because I have a reputation!” “You sir, need to calm the hell down.” I said poking Barry’s chest, “You’re at a fifteen and I need you at like, a seven. Especially if we’re going to talk to Joe.”
Barry rolled his eyes at me, “Fine, but please, don’t do that again.”
“Ok, deal.” I said shaking Barry’s hand.
“Need a lift?” he asked stretching out both of his arms.
“Why not?” I exclaimed as he scooped me up and flashed us over to the Central City Police Department.
“So, all that hard work paid off, didn’t it?” I asked Barry once he set me down in front of the station.
“You could say that,” he shoved his hands in the front pockets of his jeans, “Come on, I’ll give you a quick tour and then we’ll go talk to Joe.” Barry started walking towards the front doors but I just stood there staring at the tall building in front of me. I was so proud of Barry, ever since his mother’s death Barry has been so passionate about cracking cases. Using his knowledge in the field of science to find clues and piece them together. And now he’s here, getting ready to give me a tour of his office.
“You coming?” He asked pulling me out of my thoughts.
“Yeah.” I skipped over to him as he pushed open the front doors. Stepping in I was met with rooms crowded full of desks and employees. Chatter and phones rang throughout the building.
“Okay, there’s where the calls are received, that’s where cases are filed, interrogation room is right through those doors, Captain Singh’s office is right next to it, and if you head up those stairs, go down the hall, and make a right you’ll find my lab.” Barry chirped pointing rapidly in different directions.
“You really weren’t kidding when you said a quick tour.” I chuckled.
“I have to take advantage of my new abilities.”
“Ha ha. Very funny. Now can we get to work.”
“Come on.” Barry grabbed my hand, leading me to the set of stairs he was pointing at a few moments ago.
“Joe. I had him.” Barry bounded into the room where Joe was leaning on a desk reading some sort of a document, “The metahuman, we were wrong. He’s not controlling airborne toxins. He can literally transform himself into poison gas.”
“That’s new.” Joe said standing up.
“Isn’t everything new these days.” I pointed out.
“The target,” Joe continued, nodding his head, “is a judge. We’re going through some of her old cases to see if there’s a connection.”
“It’s too late,” Barry said shaking his head, “I didn't catch him. I should’ve been faster.”
“Focus on the job. Don’t think about that right now.”
“Yeah Barry, and besides the woman’s still alive. I mean she’s in critical condition but maybe you can get some sort of information from her.” I said beginning to side with Joe.
“You guys don’t want to know what I’m thinking about.” Barry murmured shuffling off towards one of the windows in the office. He placed his hand on the ledge and let out a sigh, “My dad has spent the past 14 years in a 6 by 8 foot cell for a crime he didn’t commit.”
In that moment I expected Joe to go off on him. To tell him that he needed to face the truth. The truth being that Barry’s mom is dead and his father is to blame. But he didn’t. In fact he did the opposite. He stood there and listened as Barry went on and on about how he couldn’t save his mom but now he has the chance to save his dad.
“Didn’t I promise you that we would get your dad out of prison together?” Joe’s question tore me out of my thoughts.
“You two,” I said pointing between the two men, “are getting his dad,” I pointed to Barry, “out of prison without me?” the sentence ended with my right index finger poking my chest. Barry swiftly turned around to face us.
“I don’t need your help, Monica. Yours either, Joe. I could be in and out of there with him before anyone even sees me.”
“Doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do, Barry.” I said lowering my hand.
“Say you break him out of there. Then what? He’s on the run for the rest of his life. And something tells me he’s not as fast as you are.”
“You don’t know what it’s like there.”
“You think we don’t understand what you’re feeling? I have been a cop for almost as long as you’ve been alive. And Monica has been your best friend ever since your mom died. So you should know, putting on that suit does not make everyone safe. Every person you save, there’s going to be somebody you can’t.” Joe’s words began to fill my head.
Barry can’t save everyone. He couldn’t save that woman. But I could. And I did. All the puzzle pieces fell into place, the ones that have been scrambled for the past ten months. I need to save people.
“Moni-”
“I am not a human!” I blurted out as Barry tapped my shoulder.
“Woah, ok, what?”
“I-I I’m sorry. Did you say something? Where’s Joe?” I started to search the room, trying to distract Barry from thinking about the words that just exploded out of my mouth.
“He just left… are you okay? Do you need to talk or-”
“Yup, I’m fine,” I said shaking my heading vigorously, “Never better.”
The next morning I decided to walk to work, just to “Stop and smell the roses.”. As I strolled into the cortex I was met with Dr. Wells and Cisco both with very confused looks on their faces. I looked up at the monitor they were focused on which showed a molecular model.
“Why the puzzled looks boys?” I questioned waking them from their haze.
“Ms. Bell, take a look at that screen for us.” Dr. Wells ordered.
“Of course sir,” I said taking a step forward to get a closer look, “Is that-” I turned to face Cisco.
“Yup.”
“But why would it-”
“We don’t know.”
“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?”
“They’re in the pipeline.”
“Call them up here. I think we’re going to need reinforcements.”
“Hey check this out.” Cisco called out to the pair as they entered the cortex, “It’s a 3D molecular model of the gas we retrieved from your lungs.”
“We have identified the toxin as-”
“Hydrogen Cyanide?” Barry asked cutting me off.
“What's interesting is what’s mixed in with the cyanide… a sedative,” Dr. Wells continued the conversation.
“Of course,” Barry exclaimed, his right hand flying to his forehead, “The night of the explosion, find out if anyone was executed.”
“Why?”
“That sedative is given to criminals on death row before they go to the gas chamber and breathe in hydrogen cyanide.”
“CSI, Barry Allen cracks yet another case with the help of his team of cunning scientists.” Everybody stared at me once I finished my narration. “What? I couldn’t help myself.”
“Okay, cute nerd.” I felt a blush begin to swell onto my cheeks as a cause of Barry’s comment. Cisco let out a chuckle. Dr. Wells had a face that only read disappointment. And Caitlin could care less.
“There was someone executed. Kyle Nimbus.” Caitlin pulled up his mugshot on the monitor.
“That’s him.” Barry clarified.
“He was a hit man for the Darbinyan crime family. They turned on him and testified.” I walked towards Caitlin as she gave us a run down of Nimbus’ history. “Judge Theresa Howard was the judge at his trial. She sentenced him to death.”
“He must have been affected by the explosion while he was being gassed.” I concluded.
“Records indicate the execution was completed.” Cisco pointed out.
“That’s why there wasn’t a match. The DNA database only has records of the living.”
“Right.” Dr. Wells said agreeing with Barry.
“He said there was one person left on his list. Check the arrest record. Who caught him? That could be his next attack.” Caitlin followed Barry’s request scrolling through the information, then turning to face me when she read the name. I looked up at Barry who was now standing in front of me.
“Barry… the lead detective… J-Joe West.” Barry stared into my eyes, his flooded with fear, and anger, and disgust. Quickly he scrambled to pull his phone out of his pocket, quickly tapping on the screen once it was in his hands.
“Eddie...Hey, do you know where Joe went? He’s not picking up his cell…. Eddie, it’s really important I speak to him. I need to know where he went…”
“Barry,” I interrupted as he hung up the phone, “Cait and I reverse engineered an antidote to the toxin. I hope you won’t need it.” I handed the syringe like device to him. And like magic he was gone.
“Barry I pulled up the specs on Iron Heights, it’s maximum security but I think I can talk you through breakin in there.” I turned to face Cisco.
“Don’t bother Crisco, he’s been trying to break in there since-”
“I was 11.”
After the a few minutes of the sounds of Barry rushing around Central City and Iron Heights his voice was finally heard again, “You’re going somewhere you can’t hurt anyone ever again…”
“He used the antidote on Joe.” Caitlin whispered.
“Of course he would. He’s Barry Allen.” I exclaimed, “You need to stay away from him Barry, do not breathe him in.”
Suddenly the sound of air rushing past Barry’s mic filled the cortex.
“I’m not sure how that helps me, guys.”
“You can’t fight him Barry… Just keep him coming at you. That should sap his strength.”
“Gas is the east stable form of matter,” Dr. Wells explained, “This metahuman will not be able to stay in his mist form for long. His particles will need to reform.”
Then the wind picked up again, faster than we had ever heard it before. Then Barry let out a grunt, as wheezing could be heard in the background.
“Barry. Barry.” Dr. Wells attempted to gain Barry’s attention.
“We win.”
“That’s one save in your book, Allen. The next one goes down in mine.” I joked as Barry walked out of Joe’s hospital room. Barry looked down at me, a smile on his face even though it was obvious he was confused.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Oh, you’ll see.” I said looking up at him, “But while we wait for an explanation how about Big Belly Burger? On me?”
“I could go for about twenty of those burgers right now.” He chuckled.
“Okay then, come on fat ass. I’m driving.”
“Rude!”
“But for some reason I’m still your best friend.”
“I guess that will always be the real mist-ery.”
I laughed at Barry’s corny pun, in fact I laughed so hard I began to choke. And that’s how life was at the time. So good that at one point the vase would overfill with joy, spilling over, pouring into our throats, causing all of us to choke.

My favorite superhero is definitely The Flash. I started watching the show a few years ago and was completely obsessed! I watched the other Arrowverse shows, too, but nothing could beat good ole fashioned Barry Allen! I started watching Glee for the pure fact that Grant Gustin was in it, so BAM obsession created 😂😂 I was gifted Catwoman: Soulstealer by my amazing parents the other day and I can't wait any longer to post it! Even if I did have a different picture in mind for today 😂😅 So excited to start reading this! We're in the home stretch of 2020 bookworms, we'll get through it! . . . . . Eobard Thawne - (Flash) AU Chapter 11
Team Flash was always on it when there was word of a big bad. That’s why when Eobard asked that everyone meet in the cortex at six in the morning, they weren’t even surprised. Iris practically slept in the lab. Cisco was already working a case at the precinct, so he was more than alert. Caitlin had been out for drinks and Barry was binge watching some tv series. They weren’t really sure what to expect. So when three different signature streaks of lightning buzzed into the room, they were on guard. When Barry removed his mask, his counterpart’s eyes were wide.
“Woah..”
They both said looking at each other.
“Okay, this is confusing, we’re gonna need a way to differentiate which one is the real Barry.”
“I’m the real Barry!” They both protested.
“Blue is Bart and red is Barry.” Eobard stated.
“Fair enough.”
“You know I hate that nickname.” Bart complained. He’d already suited up, so as a childish attempt, he constructed a huge blue wall with his ring.
“Quit sulking, we have bigger issues. “ Eobard explains. Barry was still staring.
He obeyed, lowering the wall as his feet landed on the ground from his previous hovering position. Barry was still taking in the differences that he could spot.
“So you’re not a speedster?” He asked. Bart shook his head.
“I’m a blue lantern. It’s crazy that you are the Flash. I do look good in the suit though. “
Barry smiled. “Thank you.”
“Anytime handsome.” He winked, and Barry shifted bashfully. You just rolled your eyes.
“Could you stop being a narcissist for one second!” You complain.
Caitlin and Cisco looked as though they were used to the behavior.
“We have maybe twenty-one hours to find Godspeed and help (Y/N).”
Iris’s brows are knitted.
“Why are we on a timer?”
Eobard’s eyes caught yours for a second.
“Barry came to take (Y/N) home. In about twenty-one hours his friends are gonna reopen the portal. After that he can’t promise that she’ll be able to go back. They only have one shot."
The information didn’t gain happy reactions.
“You’re..leaving?” Bart asked.
“I..I.” You couldn’t form the words.
“We should focus on catching Godspeed."
It was a coward’s way out. But you couldn’t think about it right now. Bart looked ready to question further, but Eobard stopped him.
“She’s right. We need to find him and stop him. Let’s get to work. Caitlin, track his signature. Cisco, I need you and Joe to work on surveillance, he’s somewhere in the city, I know it. Iris, I’m going to need three trackers. Barry, (Y/N) and I are going to be vulnerable with how fast he’s gotten. I need to know everyone’s whereabouts at all times.”
The team dispersed after they were given their tasks. Barry had to admit he was impressed with how effective Eobard led the team.
“You really aren’t him.”
“I’m not.” His tone was flat.
“Excuse me, I need to grab a pair of meta cuffs for when we stop him.” Eobard walked past you without so much as a glance, and you could feel the pang in your heart. You expected the reaction. Barry’s eyes moved to you.
“You care about him.”
It was an easy observation. He had caught you both on the couch. Now you feel a bit guilty. Because this man may not have been Barry’s mortal enemy, but he was still Thawne.
“I just…he’s not..” Barry shook his head.
“You don’t have to explain yourself. (Y/N) you’ve been trapped here for months. I can’t imagine how hard it must have been at the beginning seeing his face after what happened.”
It was painful.
“I only wanted to protect everyone.”
Of course he understands.
“I know. If I’m being honest a part of me was mad at you for making such a decision. I always said I would protect you and then I just watched you die. For a while we really did think that you were gone forever.”
You can’t imagine what that must have felt like.
“But it’s okay now. Because you’re safe. I know everyone’s going to be happy to see you, especially Joe.”
Barry is wearing a wide grin, and you mirror it the best you can. Because at the back of your mind, you aren’t sure if your heart is completely set on returning anymore.

Eobard Thawne (Flash) Extra
Ten Years Later
“Where’s my wife!”
A very livid speedster rushed into Star Labs with a baby go bag on his shoulder and a cell phone in his right hand. Cisco laughed awkwardly just as Barry zoomed in.
“Whooo!!” Did you see what (Y/N) did she literally flip off that building, it was awesome!!”
Barry seemed excited until he saw a very pissed Eobard.
“Uhh, h-hey Eobard.”
“YOU HAVE MY PREGNANT WIFE JUMPING OFF BUILDINGS!!” he growled.
“I’m gonna finish what I started years ago.” He threatened. Barry hid behind Cisco just as you came running in.
“That was great!! Eight months pregnant and I still got it.” You put one hand under your belly, and the moment you saw him you smiled guilty.
“H-Hey sweetheart.”
“Don’t you hey sweetheart me! You’re supposed to be resting. I got a notification on my watch that your heart rate was elevated. I thought Eli was coming early but you're out playing superhero. Do you know how worried I was!” He continued to go on a rant. You weren’t sure if it was the sweetly concerned side or his whining voice but you were kind of getting turned on.
“I’m sorry honey, let me make it up to you.” You walked over with a little sway of your hips. Eobard swallowed, turning his head as he held his ground. His cheeks colored.
“No! I’m not falling for that again!”
You grin.
“You weren’t complaining last night.”
“You took advantage of me. “ He protested.
“How about we go home and I take advantage of you some more. “ His face got redder. Barry and Cisco took that as their cue to leave.
“We’ll be at jitters if you need us.” Cisco opened a breach and they both jumped through. Now that the room was cleared, you sent a smirk in Eobard’s direction.
“Wanna do it on the desk?”
“I swear pregnancy made you inhumanely horny.” You pout.
“It’s not my fault.”
You waddled to the chair and Eobard rushed to your side. He moved to place a hand on your back to support you, but you grabbed his wrist, spinning him around and planting him in the chair. He looked up at you in shock.
“Let’s make twins next.” You wink.
By this time his face was every shade of red.
“I don’t consent to mph-!!!”
You both had a very bright future ahead.

Eobard Thawne - (Flash) AU Chapter 14
The unfortunate reality was harsh.
Godspeed..your brother was locked up in Argus for life. He needed to pay for all the lives he took. As much as you pleaded with Cisco, he told you that ultimately it was up to a jury. If there was a vote for the death penalty, you knew that half the city would have petitioned for that.
Central City was safe.
Team Flash was safe.
Eobard was safe.
Barry stood in the speed lab, along with everyone else. He was still marveling at the clear difference, probably the same way you had when you first got there.
“I still can’t believe Cisco is a detective!”
Cisco smiled.
“What, is my doppleganger some kind of nerdy genius.” He laughed and Barry just awkwardly rubbed his neck. Cisco’s face changed.
“Wait, are you serious? Well I didn’t see that coming.” Joe laughed along with the rest of them.
“W-What about me? Am I a scientist in your universe as well?” Iris asked curiously. Barry looked at her fondly.
“You’re incredible in every universe.” She blushed at the compliment, and Bart stepped forward.
“Hands off she’s mine!!”
He stood defensively in front of her, and you know that just added to her already flustered state.
Barry wears an easy smile.
Eobard is standing somewhat at the back. You’re standing the closest to him. The others are distracted, so you send him a smile that he returns weakly. There still felt like so much needed to be said. You opened your mouth to explain. But he shook his head.
“I was wrong.” He admits, taking your hands.
“I was selfish and angry. We all knew that your entire reason for being here was to get back home. I was being petty and I’m sorry."
His reaction was understandable.
“I’m sorry too.”
So much had changed.
“I want you to be happy.” You can tell he wants to say more, but you all see the blinking blue light on Barry’s suit.
“The portal..” He mutters.
The ring that appears right in front of him makes everyone take a much needed step back. With all that was happening, you supposed the time did get away from you. Barry has already given his goodbyes and he holds a hand out for you.
“Are you ready?”
You glance between him and everyone present. There is nothing but smiles.
“We’re gonna miss you.” Iris says.
“Might be better if you leave, I’m tired of you trying to outshine me.” Bart’s says.
“Don’t forget to put your Barry in his place when he’s annoying.” Caitlin quips.
“Be careful.” Joe advises.
“We won’t forget you.” Cisco smiles.
Your eyes land on Eobard, he can’t find the words to say.
So he just provides the best smile that he can. He moves over for a hug, but you take his hands, and he’s a little confused.
“I’m not going back.”
It’s crazy. When you first got here, all you wanted was to leave.
Eobard is clearly taken aback.
Barry is the one who now looks sad. He’d been so sure that when he saw you he would be taking you home.
“You’re staying..”
You knew his whole reason for coming here was to save you. But you can’t leave. Because for the first time in a long time you can say that you are truly happy. Team Flash in your universe was great, but this is where you need to be.
It’s where you’re meant to be.
“Thank you for coming for me Barry.”
He wears a smile.
“I’ll always come for you.”
This was not the outcome he hoped for, but he respects your decision.
“We’ll always be family (Y/N).”
You do your best to hold in the tears as you smile at him.
“I know. I love you Barry Allen.”
He loses the battle. The tears come faster than he can stop them.
“I love you too.”
The device on his chest blinks again.
He sends you one last look before he steps inside.
Pretty soon he's completely through and you can see the portal slowly disappearing.
It's gone in a matter of seconds.
“I can’t believe you were actually going to leave me, you jerk!!” Bart basically tackles you into a hug, and you laugh. Caitlin snickers.
“The second you were gone he was going to burst into tears.”
“No I wasn’t!!”
“You so were!!”
“Shut up!!”
The banter continues, and all you can do is laugh heartily as you stare back at your new friends.
New family.

Barry Allen x reader where the reader is a villain and her and her adoptive brother are fighting the flash and one thing happens and zoom or one of his other bigger villains comes along and kills her brother and Barry comforts her a bit before saying he has to take her back to the pipeline and she shoves him off screaming and crying and she yells at him about how her brother helped her through everything and skip forward to where Barry goes and visits her in the pipeline because he still kinda wants to make sure she’s okay ‘y’know with her brother killed and all’ and he sees her flipping a piece of scrap metal in her hand and he gets kinda confused at how she got that but then they talk and he decides he wants her to maybe join the team flash with him and the others because he noticed that she never really fought like she hated him that much but then when he brings up the proposition she gets upset again and kinda pissed off and says ‘but I’m a villain’ in like a really mocking tone and he says smth about doing it for her brother and she snaps and yells at him about how ‘he was her everything’ and how ‘he had saved her at her lowest’ and how she felt ‘there’s nobody left for me because he was all I had left!’
And how she felt there was no other reason to go on because of that and Barry gets really sad because she felt like she could die and nobody would care and he try’s to comfort her more and she cuts him off by saying something like ‘I’m supposed to be your enemy, Flash. You’re supposed to hate my every-loving guts! Just piss off already...’ and she turns back around on the floor and lays down on her back on the cell floor and silently lets a few tears slip before she jumps up to her feet (Barry’s still here, keep in mind) and starts punching the walls and kicking them and hitting her head against the walls and the glass and doing shit to hurt herself in the cell before Barry quickly opens the door and pulls her away and she tries to fight to get out of his grip and he slowly lowers them to the ground and she stops struggling and he just holds her in his arms and tries to calm her down before eventually he realizes she fell asleep and he picks her up and carries her to a bed in the med bay and skip forward a few months (he let her stay in his guest room at his apartment) and they’re at his house on his couch eating ice cream (he came to realize it was her favorite food) and she asks him ‘why did you choose me? What made you think I’m special enough to single me out and take me into your home and family?’
And he says something like ‘I never thought you seemed to like being a villain very much, and whenever we fought you always tried to make conversation to distract from the main point. I didn’t seem to think you deserved to be hated’ and a few more back and forth a between them later and she says ‘one thing heroes always forget to think about is that maybe villains aren’t always that. Villains aren’t always just bad people who want to kill you, sometimes villains are just regular, average people like you and bad things made them the way they are, sometimes villains are just like heroes but with different experiences, different opportunities. Villains have families, villains love and villains can hate, villains have hearts that are just locked up more than a heroes and just like heroes, villains can change.’ Barry, who’s arm was around her to begin with, pulls her closer and kisses her forehead while Y/n continues in a lower, sadder, voice saying ‘so many heroes blame villains for their choices and get mad at them when they should be getting mad at who made them that way instead...’ and he just takes her pint of ice cream away and moves her over into his lap, her legs hanging off the side of the couch or curled up underneath her, and he pulls her in and kisses her softly before pulling her back into his chest and throwing the blanket atop the two of them sit together in comfortable silence for a few minutes before
Barry asks her ‘was I one of those heroes who forgot to think that?’ And she answers almost immediately, looking up at him and pressing a soft open-mouthed kiss to his jaw before saying, ‘darling you were one of the heroes who decided to use his heart and open his home to to someone who others had decided to abandon, you were one of those heroes who made life better when I was at a lowest point... you definitely were the hero who decided to think about that’ and like fast forward to maybe a year or more or a few months or smth when Barry and Y/n are getting married at star labs and another time skip later to when Caitlin is cradling a baby girl with small wisps of h/c hair and Cisco is yelling through the coms and helping Barry and y/n get rid of another villain and then a minute or so later Barry zooms up, already having put the villain up, where he’s now just standing in the cortex holding Y/n bridal style and they’re both still in costume and Y/n (still in Barry’s arms) asks for the baby and Caitlin brings the baby up to her and she smiles gently while Barry looks down at his two beautiful girls and cut to when Cisco snaps a photo of the scene of perfection
Anyone up for the challenge of writing this extremely specific fic that I might write eventually, I most likely won’t get around to writing it, but is anyone up for the challenge?
I am very much wanting to see something like this written but I also realize it is really specific and stuff-
Anywho, it was just a thought.
However, if anyone decides to write it,
someone best tag me in that post
