-TBH I prefer Glooptrap because yeah!!!!! Amalgamation of hate let's go!!!!!! I think with how gloopy he is its just fun to draw I love the fact that the weird Glitchtrap blockers look like that it fits too much with my own preestablished AU lore.

-I feel like Glitchtrap turns into Glooptrap from like the seams of their suit. Like you see that each part the suit got stitched just turn black as black liquid pours out like ohhh that shit haunted!!!! Bursting outta the seams like oh this guy has no one inside they're all just black sludge!!!!

-In this AU specifically (The one with my millions of Vanny designs) is actually a spoof fnaf AU where everyone lives!!! Like I have 3 AUs technically one of them being the fnaf cast in my oc world where they become my ocs basically called Rabbit City. My other one which is my more serious canon adjacent fnaf AU where no silly stuff or shipping happens, and it's just more overall following my own formed understanding of the canonicity and the series of events with me trying to keep the animatronics more game accurate (I dont think ive posted any of that here due to me feeling like my style limits the nit and grit I wanna go with it). And this one I mainly post on here where everything is just silly and bends to my command and everyone lives because I love everyone <333333 Literally playing with my toys type AU where I do what I want which is why a million vanny designs are in this AU specifically. The left Hand of Darkness - Ursula K. Le Guin Ursula i Need to know your thoughts on omegaver- [gunshot] THAT ASIDE yeah. mrs Le Guin you've done it again. I can see why everyone got their brain chemistry altered by this book.

The Membranes - Chi Ta-Wei another brain chemistry altering book. would love to discuss it with a gender studies major lmao

Satanic Verses - Salman Rushdie its a v atmospheric and poignant story, I know I would have loved it more if I was familiar with the rich religious/cultural background it draws from

The Masquerade Series - Seth Dickinson Crazy insane in the membrane about this series. one of the most compelling worldbuildings I've ever seen, and most importantly it features one of the most crazy wet pathetic scrunkly meow meow protagonists i've ever had the pleasure of reading about.

Middlesex - Jeffrey Eugenides i liked the writing style of this book a lot! idk how well it holds up re: intersexuality topic, but its a very engaging read.

Dead Blondes and Bad Mothers: Monstrosity, Patriarchy, and the Fear of Female Power - Jude Ellison, Sady Doyle The title says it all honestly, its a beautiful, thought provoking and engaging essay, spanning eras, pop culture phenomenons, and real life events on the topic of women and horror.

The cat who saved books - Sōsuke Natsukawa this was so cute and heartfelt, it will really make you go Ah Yes, this is Why we Love Books <333

The Locked Tomb Series - Tamsyn Muir now when people say there is a girl who is the cursed sacrifice of 2000 infants who falls in love with the sleeping embodiment of the soul of the Earth (barbie) and also another girl who is the only survivor of the aforementioned sacrifice and is. a Jesus metaphor? and also the two girls become one at some point. and every book is a different genre. and god is bisexual. and memes survived the nuclear apocalypse. I can just nod and say so true.

The Area X Trilogy - Jeff VanderMeer Rotating this series in the microwave of my mind at the speed of light it's soSO GOOD!! the movie doesn't even come close honestly u NEED to read the books. and then go touch grass and be aware of every strand in a completely new way.

The Dawn of Yangchen - F. C. Yee nice read! I was more invested in the worldbuilding crumbs than in the actual story lmao, I will forever think about the HEATED airball rivalry between the air temples and about the swt greetings / bethrotal armbands.

Inuit Stories of Being and Rebirth: Gender, Shamanism, and the Third Sex - Bernard Saladin d'Anglure starting w a disclaimer bc I feel like the topic of native colonization was ignored when it should have been way more prominent when talking about the context of where and when these testimonies were collected?? That aside it was very interesting and well put together, with first account testimonies of Inuit elders about their myths, lifestyles and beliefs.

Pachinko - Min Jin Lee i read the book after having seen the tv series (which i also rlly recommend). Very moving story about a family and its generations, from Korea under Japanese colonization to modern day America.

Her body and other parties - Carmen Maria Marchado sometimes I go about my day then I remember this book exists and stare at the wall for 30 minutes.

Dictionnaire de l'impossible - Didier Van Cauwelaert big miss. this collection of articles about "strange impossible phenomenons" sounded so quirky and interesting but i sure would have loved if the author hadnt so clearly picked a side. and also way too much church for my tastes.

He who Drowned the World - Shelley Parker Chan Im not even gonna speak about this one if you've followed me since july you know what pits of insanity and despair i'm in

Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow - Gabrielle Zevin Sometimes!! the book with pretty covers put in the "famous on socials" bookstore section!! are good!! It's about being othered it's about connection it's about diaspora it's about love and friendship and most of all it's about viddy games.

Station Eleven - Emily St. John Mandel reading this post-covid and learning it was written in 2017 was A TRIP. Psychic damage at every page. still feeling very normla.

The Mask of Apollo - Mary Renault Ugh i desperately wanted to like this book because the setup is so interesting and full of potential, but the end result was just. flat. flat story flat characters the plot focusing on the wrong things at the wrong times i was so DONE when i reached the end otz.

Babel - R. F. Kuang LOVED the worldbuilding in this, the "lost in translation" system of magic is one of the most interesting things ive ever read. I think theres something about the writing in general that didn't win me over completely?? but all in all a very good

Red Ocean - Han Song This sure is a Book. That i've Read. its so profundly strange and unlike anything ive come across that i dont even know what to feel about it. i think 90% of my confusion comes from Not Getting Cultural References so if someone has a "red ocean explained" essay plz send it my way bc i couldnt find one.

"Happy birthday Pops!" Angus said, his chubby hands grabbing Poppy's legs and giving her a warm hug.

"Happy birthday..." Jasper mumbled, his prideful demeanor on, but as Daisy nudged him a bit he cleared his throat and gave Poppy a quick hug. "I mean- happy birthday, Pops."

Daisy smiled as she watched the girl crouch to their level and give them a big and tight hug, proud of her little friends. The blonde eyed the cat like creature on her shoulder and he rolled his little blue eyes.

"Happy birthday, human." Grim begrudgingly said and Poppy gave him a smile.

Daisy then made a small coughing sound, calling the group's attention towards her. Finally, she brought the gift she prepared for Poppy into view. "It's not much... I asked Jasper and Angus to help me since I wouldn't be able to finish it on my own." Grim gave her a look. "And this kitty helped too."

Poppy got up, grabbing the box and opening it eagerly, after all, it wasn't everyday she got a gift from her idol! As the gift came into view, she opened her mouth in shock and Daisy fidgeted with her fingers expectantly.

"So... Do you like it?"

Poppy took out a handmade red dress, her gift, admiring it with shock and wonder in her eyes. It had ruffles everywhere, the back of the dress was adorned with a cute bow and at the end of it there were small embroidery details, such a small drawings of stars and moons, all in white.

"I love it!" She exclaimed, spinning while hugging the dress close to her chest. "Daisy, did you make this?"

"Missy asked Yeen for help." Angus clarified and Jasper nodded.

"Yeen was nice. Haggled the price of old ruined dress." Jasper continued.

Poppy tilted her head in confusion, not fully understanding what they meant. "Hm... I'm sorry but, who's Yeen?"

"That's their nickname for Ruggie." Daisy chuckled. "We basically just revamped the dress and made small details so it could fit you better... The blonde explained, and both girls shivered at the idea of Rook knowing their exact measurements... But oh well, he was a freak like that. "I'm glad you liked it."

With that, Poppy gave the blonde a very tight hug which was reciprocated right after — Grim nearly fell during the process and had to jump to Jasper's arms. Daisy quickly gave her a kiss on the head, happy to know her present was a success.

azur.. azur azur. hes sort of the most reasonable one of the group. he solves infighting (unless its between him and zane), but they’re all really level-headed. they’re not afraid to mince words at all, they talk rough to each other, but they all handle it well.

speaking of infighting, they really don’t actually argue very much. theyre all generally respectful of each other. or theyre grinch and they keep their distance from the others. a fight is always just over something small that snowballs due to them all also being stubbornly sure of themselves.

azur and mace are maybe the closest of the squad. azur likes to be sure hes confident in his fighting skills so he tends to ask the biggest motherfucker (mace) to spar with him which leads to them spending the most time together.

everyone is very considerate of azur’s lost family, avoiding being nosy and only speaking about them when brought up by azur himself. meanwhile mace keeps coming up with ideas for grinch’s family and asking him if hes right or wrong in his assumption. so far all he’s uncovered is that he Does have one. or he did. does. maybe.

grinch feeds stray cats. constantly. he leaves kibble out around base for cats to come by and pick at. zane really does not appreciate it but theres not much he can do to stop him

mace really likes to debate and chat with zane about things. he’ll bring up trending topics and see his opinion on them, argue if they oppose each other or vent about people misunderstanding the issue. azur will join the conversation when/if he wants. if grinch does join he purely plays devil advocate.

zane stays busy off the field, so he really enjoys when hes on a mission. gives him a chance to turn his phone off.

mace doesnt smoke often, but when he does its bc azur has personally rolled him a cigarette. azur rolls them up for grinch as well, when asked. zane doesnt smoke very often (zane specific headcanons plug :)c)

im still working on character references so have Acacius's backstory but summarized + some facts/headcanons :3

So y'know how the gaurdians of positivity and negativity (nightmare and dream) were created bc some dudes decided to steal apples from the tree?? so basically those apples ended up in Acacius's au somehow, and an evil scientist got their hands on it (cue shocked cat emoji) they start doing silly experiments, MEANWHILE!!!!! 14 yr old Acacius gets into an accident and goes comatose with near-guaranteed death, his mother (Anastasia) freaks tf out and somehow ends up meeting the scientist, the scientist is like "yo if u let me experiment on ur child I'll figure out how to keep them alive" Anastasia is desperate to keep her child alive so she agrees and boom!!1 the acacius we know is born (they do not remember anything lol) Anastasia being their literal mother basically automatically as she has her first interaction with her child realizes this and once again, freaks out. she ends up (along with the other scientists who are helping with the project) lying to acacius (+ other test subjects) and being like "aahahaha! no these experiments are good because they'll help humanity!" (they will not)

obivously, eventually acacius figures out it's a lie (funnily enough, he figures it out by stealing the key to Anastasias journals that date the experiments, along with one journal being a long ongoing diary), and their world literally breaks. Acacius freaks out, and in a frenzy, ends up getting their hands on a box cutter that they end up using to kill the scientists (including Anastasia) obviously, this interaction has spurred A LOT of negativity, so Nightmare goes to investigate so y'know. ppl won't be massacred by the JR. he finds a child covered in blood with a knife and some books in whats basically a hospital gown and is like. "bro wtf happened here" and acacius just like. hands him the books as an explanation bro reads thru them and is like !?!?!?? nightmare doesn't really know what to do so he just like brings acacius to him and his roommates house

Nightmare ends up keeping Acacius around because he assumes the murders were accidental and due to the reaction of heavy emotions and conflicting positive and negative energies (that's what the experiments were based around) and nightmare doesn't really want something like that happening again. But also...none of them rly know how to take care of a kid so Randy ends up helping a lot LOL

Cross buys Acacius books. he struggled a lot at the beginning because they showed no interest in anything, so there weren't any interests to reference off of. He eventually figured out that they like overly convoluted fantasy books and warrior cats.

Nightmare fully believes that the murders Acacius committed were fully an accident due to their subdued, gentle and kind nature (they were on purpose, they believed it was for the better of humanity, however it was definitely a decision made under the influence of conflicting energies)

Acacius often spends a lot of time with Randy (especially at the beginning, due to the meme trios very limited experience with kids)

They're fairly strong and have a high pain tolerance due to the experiments conducted on them

Originally, due to positive and negative energies heavily conflicting, Acacius had a lot of mood swings, but after Nightmare gifted her a pendant that keeps the energies more at bay, the mood swings mostly died down

(just a note, if it isn't clear, the scientist who conducted the experiments was experimenting on Acacius with positive and negative energies, aka; the apples the scientist got their hands on)

desperately feeling for every little autistic queer kid in school rn. school fucking sucked for me, big time, and I've been out of school for 11 years now and part of me wants to ignore that schools are still a thing for many people.

you are strong and capable and gorgeous. your stims are good and cute actually! you are allowed to be open about yourself and it'll make some things easier but it'll make other things harder and you're also perfectly allowed to keep parts of you a secret if that keeps you safe for now. but most importantly, please remember that this awful time in your life will pass, even though it feels like it's forever right now. one day soon you'll look back and wonder why you were ever so scared. you'll grow into such a lovely wonderful person. in fact you already are and don't you forget it. your future holds happiness and peace. i love you.

the diet cult is a solution to a nonexistent problem.

which is great, capitalism loves a solution without a problem. Or rather, selling you a solution to a problem they tell you you absolutely have.

so they make everyone believe that losing weight is super desirable for some reason.

it can only really be accomplished by disordered eating and/or exercise habits. (there have been so many studies showing that long term weight loss is not possible for most people, unless they develop disordered eating or exercise habits.)

the problem? people get hungry cus their bodies need food!

the solution? try this pill, that shake, such-and-such supplement. join this group with like minded diet cultists people who want to lose weight! you have to pay a membership fee and it'll try to dictate every bite you put in your mouth and sell you special recipes and ingredients and build an entire economy based on your low self-esteem, cus society tells you anything above stick-thin is too fat.

it's a cult aimed at controlling your entire life, where you shop, what you buy, what you eat. it's super good at it?? to the point where like. the majority of women in western countries seem to be falling for it?? (can't speak for other places but i imagine it's big elsewhere too)

to the point where many fat people believe they don't have worth unless they lose weight,

and many thin people believe that the worst thing that could happen to them is to gain weight,

when in reality, weight is morally neutral. being fat protects you from some diseases, actually. socio-economic status is a better predictor of health than weight. etc. etc.

fat ppl and fat liberation activists have been talking about this for so fucking long. i really don't know what it will take to get people to listen.

if a shonen manga doesn’t traumatise you then what’s the point

why i love jyujyutsu kaisen

1. itadori yuuji* - he exists, that’s it. you should read jjk to experience yuuji being the best boy for chapters on end. is yuuji a typical plucky shonen protag? aren’t they all? like it’s a meme because it’s true. but the devil is in the details. jjk has amazing character writing. very good character moments. but also i like the type so i’m biased - there’s just something that hits just right when the character has this kind of positive energy and that’s being picked apart and torn into.

2. gege akutami is a little cursed cat and they will make it other people’s problem by creating a cursed story like jjk. it’s traumatising, it’s cruel and it has good character writing so you will care when it hurts you. jjk is brutally honest about what it is from the start, it’s violent and gory and you will get this false sense of security that you’ve adjusted to it. and then it will get super cursed. 

3. it has a bs complex power system with a ton of rules and gimmicks. i’m sorry, i just enjoy that. go off you little cursed cat and give your characters powers based on making plushies or working a 9 to 5 job.

4. there are so many factions in this and characters who just have their own agendas. i just like that kind of writing. also re factions. gojou satoru creates his faction exploiting the found family trope and it’s delightfully cruel and sad. like i guess people can argue that it’s not on purpose that he just finds them like that but imho it’s on purpose because i see him being cunning like that. he has his very clear agenda and all the strays he’s gathered and fostered are exceptional, loyal to him and deeply emotionally entangled as a group.

5. women are actual characters in this with personalities and agendas, omg that means so much for a shonen. a queer character has been introduced once so far unless we take that one statement of nobara’s seriously**. anyway when a queer character appears there’s no joke about it, like their queerness isn’t the butt of the joke, omg that means so much. also there is no pervert character, omg that means so much.

6. characters have canon theme songs, it’s basically a high school au fic at its core***.

issues with jjk that can make you not want to read it

1. mahito

2. it suffers a bit from ‘so many characters’ but it introduces its characters gradually so imo it’s manageable.

3. it’s very violent and sometimes gross.

4. it’s a battle shonen true to its genre.

5. the techniques are convoluted and require focus when reading ad some have long explanations

6. FUCKING MAHITO!

* for whatever reason the english-speaking fandom doesn’t use the correct transcription of the japanese words. don’t you people have the diacritics on your phones if the extra ‘u’ or ‘o’ offends you? the drop of ‘y’ is just upsetting. anyway, the point is that since you don’t transcribe it correctly you pronounce it all wrong and it’s super annoying, the length of vowels matters. also my absolute pet peeve is when i hear people pronounce ‘sukuna’ wrong, i want to murder someone when i hear it - why? the correct pronunciation should be easier for english speakers.

** this isn’t a hxh type shonen so all the shipping, if you want to engage in it, happens based on “that one line of dialogue” or “that one panel/chapter”. i don’t think anyone in the manga even is in a relationship, like even off screen with an unnamed character. if someone was about to say okkotsu, know that i’m going to kill you. i guess that cursed cat gege just isn’t interested in those sort of stories or they don’t think they can write them well. still  that being said: nobamaki forever, the first otp of the story. itajun is the only yuuji ship i accept and gege you cowardly cursed cat! they shared these looks and moments and not one kiss. itajun is otp. an amazing artist brought me to inukko and when they draw it i can see it.
