my wrist sure cramped up at a hold note x
in general the maps are easy. im able to clear songs ive never heard before on normal with no trouble. maybe for a gamer they want more challenge, but for me, who sucks at games, i like this ^_^
though honestly it just feels good to play a rhythm game thats responsive after so long. this isnt me talking shit but on both devices ive tried proseka on no matter how many times i recalibrated it always had some fucky delay (i bounced off of prsk for a lot of other reasons though). i think bandori also had a similar issue.
aaside worked fine so i dont think it was my phone.
but yeah, prerelease i was kind of mad the gameplay and UI seemed like a bandori->proseka->prismpro game of telephone, but tbh, i feel like it aped all the good stuff from proseka (mostly. i hate the monthly pass costumes/accessories so much) and improved on it. and it launched feeling like a complete game. i swear im not talking out of some kind of malice or bias but when prsk dropped it was NOT complete at all, it felt like a beta.
prismpro definitely has its own unique identity that is very well defined i'm not saying it is bandori or proseka AT ALL and the comparisons i make are just kind of objective comparisons that are inevitable. bc unfortunately most new idol rhythm mobage are bandori these days (sanrio ill never forgive you for making sb69 into a half assed bandori clone). including proseka. and proseka's by far the trendiest and most successful (ig aside from a select few) and history is written by the victors so. of course others will look to it.
in conclusion: can we bring old sb69 back. im so sick. i still mourn her every day. that game was special

i used to be so good at writing strong, thoroughly-researched, thoroughly-edited essays.
as a kid in hs, my teacher literally came up to me, holding my 40 page essay on the intersection of the European witch hunts and capitalism/exploitation/gender roles (it was supposed to be 7 pages...whoops) and went like "this is literally a master's-degree level thesis. what are you doing?? you could literally use this as your final dissertation in a master's program, what the fuck."
NOW??? NOW?? you'd think I'd be oh so skilled. but alas. i can barely piece together two ideas. adhd skill-regression is so so real. im SOBBING

Human Bill Cipher
(Based on Alex Hirsch's "canon" design)
And just to be clear, writing dissertations at me justifying why he should instead be a conventionally attractive twink will involuntarily cause me to draw him with even fewer teeth.

I like to think that Vulcans who come to understand that Humans just can’t try to process emotions the same way as them, it’s just healthiest to let it out in harmless ways, decide that venting and stuff should be taken just as seriously as Vulcan’s meditation time, and will encourage the Humans around them to complain about what’s upsetting them
People who are used to aloof Vulcans who avoid Humans at all cost running into one comforting a Human
“-and then they said my cheesecake was subpar, and they didn’t even bring a dish!!!”
“The purpose of this event was that every participant brings a food item of sorts, correct?”
“Yeah!!”
“And they did not follow this rule while insulting dishes that were brought?”
“Mostly just my dish but yeah >:(“
“How illogical”
“That’s what I’m saying!!!”

Apparently, my decision to be silly and make fanart of someone's writing (because I genuinely enjoy the story the person is writing and I was struck with inspiration upon reading a particular scene) has benevolent and wildly unforeseen consequences.
I apparently gained a bit of control of the canon because said writer really loved the art and decided what I drew/draw is canon.
2. Writer put said artwork into the document of his story right below the scene, so now it's IN the story where people who read the story will see it (with a link to me)
3. He sent the artwork to all his friends and people he knows because he was so excited
Wholesome interaction and I watched him do all that in real time, good stuff. However...there are two more consequences I was notified of today...nearly a full week after I gave the artwork.
Seeing the artwork caused his friends to become interested in reading and hearing about his story, which means more people are reading what he's writing and giving him critique on the story (which he actively asks for).
Apparently, upon seeing the art, his writer friends got a sudden second wind to pick back up writing they'd abandoned for a few months. Because, I quote, "seeing that someone enjoyed {his} writing enough to take the time to make art of it gave them the motivation that maybe THEY can write something that will inspire someone to also create something." I have accidentally caused a writing frenzy among his writer friends and my silly idea to make art for someone has had a butterfly effect for people who I don't even know.
Uhh...I'm pretty sure there's a moral here but I am tired and have a great deal of emotions about this.
