Finally gave in and made portraits of all the ladies that I've intoduced the world to so far.

I can’t stop thinking about how surprised Eddie was that Tommy is gay.

Because we know he’s not homophobic. He doesn’t have a problem with other people being gay. But then this carbon copy of him turns out to be queer and it stumps him.

Which all just reminds me of how hard Eddie is on himself, and how he believes that it’s okay for other people to feel/be something, but not him.

How he told Chris it was okay for him to be sad about losing his mom, but when it came to his own feelings, whether it was anger or sadness, he choose to push them down.

For Chris.

Everything he does is for Chris.

He still can’t let go of this notion that he’s supposed to find a new mother for Chris.

But pushing down his feelings and doing what he thinks he’s supposed to wasn’t the right thing to do last time.

What they needed back then was him allowing himself to feel and Chris seeing him be true to himself.

And I think that’s what they need now too.
