hi everyone :3 this is my first time ever writing anything. i’ve never written anything before but i have really bad jjk brainrot right now so i created this account to dump this stuff on. please ignore any spelling mistakes! english is not my strongest suite. im good at it but yk, im not an experienced writer. please feel free to give me criticism. i also dont know if this is formatted right because, well, refer to what i said before lol.

Hi!! I hope I'm not disturbing you but I wanted to ask how do I work hard. Because when I was younger I got really good marks without trying and now the subjects are hard and social media is distracting but I can't seem to delete it. This is also why my grades are even low then before and I'm really afraid to disappoint my parents (being the eldest daughter doesn't help). So can you please just give me some pointers on how can I actually study and not just cry because I don't know how to. Have a great day!! <3

forget hard work. at least do the work! (its so funny because i literally had a post about this all ready in my drafts about to get posted, so i'll keep this short and link the post.) stop focussing on doing hard work like studying 24/7. just put in the basic necessities you need to get a better grade. hard work post link

use the disappointment and embarrassment as fuel. (basically find a very strong why) (mini story-ish thing coming up, skip to the blue text for the actual advice) i still remember the day i got such a bad score on my math and science test, i was FURIOUS at myself and i cried about it! telling it to my parents was one of the hardest things i had to do and feeling their disappointment was even worse. but that became my turning point. i was so ashamed of myself and i resented me so much that i basically just told myself "i dont freaking care what you feel *with distaste*. you brought this on yourself you failure" (a bit very harsh, yes i know) but the way i studied that week- i studied more than i every had before! also doing this doesnt really lower my self esteem a whole lot, but if it does with you, please be gentle with yourself. : so what i'm trying to say it; use that feeling of shame and disapointment as a fuel, a motivation. The big “why”.

ALTER EGOOOSSSS. this helps SOOOO MUCH its so underrated. embody the energy of your fav people who are the academic inspiration you wanna be! example: rory gilmore, paris geller, elle woods, blair waldorf, etc etc! not only is this so helpful but it also makes it so much more fun and easier!!

parent yourself. i used to tell myself to do stuff like "go study now!" or "get up lazy-butt" but in my mind. but what if you tried to say those stuff out loud to yourself? it just creates a whole new level of real. So start telling yourself to do stuff out loud.

honestly just start. stop letting yourself think about how "uncomfortable" and how "annoying" it will be. All you need to know is that you need to get it done. Right? Ok. So now what’s the next smallest step you can take to getting to do the unwanted task? It may be taking out your material, opening your book, etc.

You privileged brat. Your parents gave up EVERYTHING so you could have the education that you are having. They worked so so hard for YOU. So YOU can have the life you want. And all for what? Just for you to throw it all away and say “oh im lazy”. HELL NAH.

And also, do you realise how fortunate you are to be even living in such a time/ era where you have access to basically EVERYTHING? You’re stuck on something? You could easily search it up!! And whats more is that you can further learn. You can search up and find out more about the thing that you’re studying, become the smartest person in your class, get so ahead in life. I hope you realise that if you do use all the resources and materials and help that’s been given to you, just imagine how far you could go! Further than Albert Einstine, Elon Musk, etc. you may be like “what! No that’s gonna be too hard!” But did they have the tools that you have right at your hand? No! They made it all the way with just simple stuff and having to work super hard. But you live in a time where you can do TWICE as much without working as hard!!

And one more thing, QUIT WHINING. “Oh school is so hard!” “Oh school is so boring!” Like whattt???? You are so FORTUNATE and LUCKY to be even getting access to such education! MILLIONS of kids out there would kill to be able to learn what you are so easily dismissing right now. So TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WHAT YOU HAVE. Put your ALL, your very BEST into studying and getting good grades because THAT is whats gonna take you so SO far in life.

put the screen time widget on your phone home screen. i did this, and i became so embarrassed by the amount of screen time i had in one day (*cough* 12 hours *cough*) that i made certain to stop using it as much.

screen time limits. this may or may not help you, bc i know that when i knew the screen time password, it didn't do a lot of help but when someone else did (like parents or someone you trust), then it definitely worked. this is probably only best if you're a child around under 14 ish bc thats around the age when most parents put screen time limits + after that age you're gonna be a lot more independent.

Zeff was always harsh on Sanji about his cooking, but Sanji put up with it and kept creating new things,, Till the day a bunch of shit excuses of pirates came into the place. One wearing a straw hat, one with 3 swords,, one with weird hair,, and another, a female with orange hair. well. uh. we go to school together, so we’re both artists. we’re t4t, he’s also a fairly feminine guy who wears dresses and has long hair, but he’s in a pretty different direction-he wears a lot of black and is more gothically inclined. we started seeing eachother a bit over 3 months ago. we’ve known eachother since freshman year, but have never been super close friends, but a sort of. mutual admiration. i always thought he was very cool but i tend to. stick to my own group at school i guess? and he’s similar in that respect. I developed more of a substantial crush on him some months ago, and he apperantly did for me as well. and i could. tell a little bit. what started us talking though was that we have a mutual friend who gave him my phone number and often would stop by his work with me when we were hanging out, since she knew we thought the other person was cool. (she did. not know our intent was romantic, but she matchmade in a weird way regardless) I had been flirting with him for a little bit, especially at the times we did text, but i don’t think he. got thats what i was doing. and i dont think i was very good at it, so eventually, a few days after i moved home for the summer, i asked him, in a very awkward way, if he was interested in going out with me sometime, and learned that he did not. seem to suspect me liking him back despite me assuming he already knew. regardless, the intense crush was indeed very mutual, so he was very excited by the idea lol. we live a bit from eachother and both dont drive, so it took us a few weeks to be able to go on our first date, but it was lovely. he also came down for a few days to visit me for my birthday, which was. the highlight of at least the year for me. it was pretty fantastic. i’m not exactly outgoing but i’m not exactly not either so. i was worried about it but he doesnt think he would have had the confidence to make the first move until much later on so i’m pretty glad i did? we’re both chronically anxious so it was kind of. a realization on my part that it was probably best if i was as blunt as humanly possibly, and it. worked? i sound very awkward but im really over the moon about the whole thing. he’s a remarkably smart and sweet person, and incredibly talented at. everything he does. i feel very lucky. he’s also followed me on here for quite some time and he finds my internet prescense. very entertaining. which i’m glad because i was worried it would turn him off lol. i promise i am more polite irl. but yeah :) i’m excited to be able to see him in person consistantly for once.

Okay I can’t explain why but The Curtis Brother’s I do read as white. (But like with every outsiders character I literally love ANY Ethnicity Hc you throw at them.) That being said I think that The Curtis brother’s have been luckier in certain areas as compared to some of the other greasers,especially given the time.But I don’t think they necessarily realize that growing up, but specifically Darrel.

Ponyboy hangs out with Curly a lot so he isn’t aloof to how Curly is treated by others. He picks up on the small micro aggressions and how he often gets off easier than Curly does, especially at school. Same goes when he’s with Johnny and Dally. It’s something he knows is there but doesn’t quite have the words to explain it. Sodapop I think understands that he has it easier because he gets that he fulfills the all American boy look. He notices this when first starting to work at the DX and how the customers react to him versus how they react to Steve. He knows exactly why they do that too. And Sodapop hates that this is the case but gets he can’t exactly change it. So he makes up for it by trying to distract Steve or making him feel better.

For Darrel..he’s not WILLFULLY ignorant it’s just that he’s had a busy life. Even before he took on his role as guardian, he was always busy with football,school, even Soc Parties. Then after his parents died, he got even more busy.I don’t think he’s quite processed what some of the other greasers go through.

I don’t think it fully clicks when he’s with Two-Bit one day. The two decided to go out shopping at the fancy grocery store, since Darry wanted to go big for Pony’s graduation party. Two-Bit is acting like usual and goofing off, in the process of trying to make Darry laugh.At one point though a nearby lady spies Two and automatically mistakes him for the help. Two-Bit being use to this simply smiles and politely tells her that he’s a customer there. Darry finds that weird at first but then things take a turn when one of the employee starts to follow Two-Bit around the store. Darrel is puzzled by all this and asks Two-Bit about it.Two-Bit shrugs and tells him it’s not a big deal because this thing always happens. It’s not until he says that does it click for Darry. When it does he also starts to get why Two-Bit acts the way he does. Why he often smiles and laughs during a tense situation, or why he doesn’t try to fight back during an argument. Because that’s his way of surviving.For Two-Bit this is just an everyday occurrence in his life, and something that he’s learned to accept long ago. It doesn’t change the fact that Darry is mad on his behalf and most definitely goes back to the same store later to chew out said employee.

Bit of a background: I hovered over from the a+p girlies after affirming for 9-10 months for all my desires, using everything they taught and even putting full faith into thoughts and science manifesting. I would affirm almost nonstop (during work, school, even as I was eating/talking to others) for the entire time and I eventually got super frustrated! Not a single manifestation came in or even the slightest movement, maybe a butterfly and a car here and there (looking back at it its because I accepted seeing them internally and didn’t contradict that state, it wasn’t even the affirming). In March-ish I found your account on my timeline and previously I would ignore any states related information because I thought states were the same as dominant thoughts, but something about your thread at the time caught my attention which led me down a rabbit hole (positively!) of consuming your threads. I realized a lot of it actually made sense and explained why I didn’t see success so far.

Anyways so after a few weeks of learning about states I decided to stop overconsuming and stick to your account and edward art ONLY for all my manifestation needs. It was a little hard breaking free from the affirming mindset but I decided to focus on embodying how it would feel if I no longer had to worry about my thoughts and allowed that to wash over me. I used your “embody being the solution” thread SO SO much and I realized I was able to quickly solve all my internal issues using that because anytime I felt stuck, I just had to assume the feeling of being unstuck and what the ideal situation would be! I also fell in love with fulfilling my imagination and although I did care about experiencing it in the 3D, it was more like me not even thinking of it reflecting because its a LAW. HOW do you have the patience to make these details... how do you decide where each line goes when there are so many? Is it channeling something? Or do you have to think and reason, okay, this line goes here, and then the next line goes here...

when i was younger i used to think spending more time on art made it better and i would kind of try to prove my mettle in art by use of heavy detailing instead of via technical skill. also i generally care moreso about the details in things rather than bigger picture so im more inclined to have my drawings reflect that... now i dont think that time makes it better anymore but thru years of working like this ive just developed a general affinity for extensive detail. i am trying to be more content with making simpler stuff too but i have to consciously learn that though, keeping it simple and staying confident about it.

do i channel something:

mmmm...maybe? sometimes a picture makes me a little crazy and i feel like i have to represent some type of perfect divinity in a "correct" manner.

heres 3 pics where that happened. the first two are trying to be more representational of concepts whereas the latter is more general level ornamental. like how a church would be decorated.

im a little more lax now on dedicating pictures to spirituality, but a lot of my pictures still have some type of divinity meets earth topic and in those i always think of the divine as something that in its truest form couldnt be understood but because the creature has divine power it can present itself or modify the world in any way it wanted to. and so it would choose ways that are easily understood as beautiful and good. why angels are pretty...

thats whats happening in these. the comet makes its body be beautiful while the seal eel serpent is showing its power thru perfect control of the water and making a really pretty splash

to ur question of how i decide on each line: its a mix between keeping every line imbued with intent but also not concentrating on the picture so hard that i have to enact force on it. i still redo most of my lines multiple times but i also dont feel fully conscious for the detail part of these bigger pictures. i have to be in a good mental state and those happen rarely. my workflow isnt ideal. a lot of days i do nothing and then on one day of the week i dont do anything but draw on one picture for 14+ hrs. i did that a couple days ago again and its euphoric in the moment, but the day after i feel drained dry as fuck. theres also an aspect to it where i draw virtue from patience and dedication to a task. i try to steel my patience a lot and drawing like this is part of that. i look up to nuns and eunuchs or that spaniard who built a church solo. id like to have that type of mindset with a Will that strong. but i dont want to do it via god based faith but instead my own thing. sorry for babble- thank you for the ask.
