“would you still love me if i was never born?” you asked, a serious look on your face. “…” he averted his gaze from your’s as he huffed and puffed, completely baffled at the question. how do you even answer a question like that? “the real question here is, would you love me if i was never born?” he asked, a sly grin in his face as your bright smile quickly faded. “no fair!” you yelled, crossing your arms across your chest. “not so fun now, is it?” he chuckled, as your tackled him onto the bed, planting soft kisses on every corner of his face and jaw.

Kenji doesn’t get as much attention as the other members of the armed detective agency, but I think he could have a lot of potential. All the other characters have had some kind of character development. We even see something in Chuuya here and there, but Kenji doesn’t have any of that. All we know is what his ability does and how it works. I feel like the way his ability works is a point of potential on its own. Also his character is also just fun to think about. They had me fooled with his cute and sweet personality. I think Kenji needs more attention.

“Let’s blow up Mori’s car.”

“I’m so down.”

Being used to the boy’s spontaneous antics, you just went along without any afterthought. What happens, happens. If Mori gets mad at them then he gets mad.

The two teens walked down the large corridors of the Port Mafia. Planning the bombing of Mori’s car with a casual air.

He smiled at you and looked around carefully once outside. Both of you were wearing black, and no one was around so he took the bomb he had snagged and planted it on Mori’s car.

"Let’s leave this place before the bomb explodes."

He grabbed your hand and started running like a reckless crazy teen with a silly plan. He knew if Mori caught you both then you’d be in big trouble. You both ran down to his office and were relieved no one saw you.

Plopping down on the worn couch in Dazai’s office, you didn’t even flinch when the loud explosion sounded outside.

Lazily swiveling your head to look out the window, you watched as the dark smoke rose up into the sky.

“How much you willing to bet Mori already knows we did that… and how much you wanna bet we’re gonna be in for it once he finds out we did that to his car?”Considering the circumstances, you were calm about the whole ordeal. As Dazai would usually say- ‘Whatever happens, happens.’ and whatever punishment you would get would be shared between the two of you.

Dazai smirked and laid on the couch next to you. He shrugged his shoulders and closed his eyes as he crossed his legs, laying them over your lap, trying to be as casual as possible.

The window was open and the hot sunshine fell on him, his cheeks turned slightly red from all the warmth. He sighed peacefully, his heart feeling light and free.

“I think he might know, but I don't think he'll be angry," He chuckled softly and looked at you.

“We are just reckless, troublesome, rebellious teenagers, after all.” You spoke with a small grin forming on your lips as you quoted the words Mori had called the two of them many times before.

Bringing your hand up, You covered your mouth as you leaned into the arm of the couch. Your tired eyes traced the room you had already memorized countless times.

Your eyes always looked tired. Much too like Dazai’s, as Mori would say- “You’re rubbing off on them!” you could never figure out if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

“True, true." He laughed in agreement with you and nodded his head. You both were just reckless, troublesome, and rebellious teenagers. Mori had always called both of you "troublemakers." Dazai chuckled slightly, and he looked at you - his eyes seemed tired, just like yours. They were both really identical.

Dazai was thinking about what Mori said before - “You're rubbing off on them!” The words echoed in his head.
