Three books into the Claidi Journals by Tanith Lee and I'm still having so much fun. I am once again wondering why no one talks about these books?? Sharp WIT, slightly insane world building, solid characterization, romance, good racial/ethnic positivity for the time, a storyline that does not feel familiar at all...who was doing it like Tanith Lee? And to think that neither library system in my area even carries them so I will have to buy the fourth book secondhand online in order to finish the series???

The Will of the Many - James Islington (TL;DR)
Mini Book Reviews! originally from Top 5 books of July & August! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Goodreads Synopsis: The Catenan Republic – the Hierarchy – may rule the world now, but they do not know everything.I tell them my name is Vis Telimus. I tell them I was orphaned after a tragic accident three years ago, and that good fortune alone has led to my acceptance into their most prestigious school. I tell them…

YouTube idea brain storming! Ive got like 115 ideas so far! I'm hoping to get to 150. YouTube gurus say to have videos that connect together and I think I've done that.

Hey guys, I'm back from the dead to let you know about something important:
One of my close friends started her own youtube channel and I just had the idea to try and show some support. She's a directioner and very passionate about music and literature, so it would really mean a lot to me and surely also to her if you would check out her first video and subscribe if you're interested in her content. Here's a link to the video where she tried to write a chorus for the new Niall single:

I really need to prep for the semester because I'm teaching a class I've never taught before, but instead I am shopping online for miracle cures and moaning on my couch because I got sick last week while traveling and I really want to be as unproductive as possible

how's the reading going lovely! are you still enjoying 'blossom' or have you read anymore/anything else? ☕️
hi!! the reading goes alright, its been too hot to focus too hard on reading unfortunately lfskdjfs. i've been focusing a lot on my own writing recently, which has been great, but i gotta start reading more LOL
but i finished blossom already, and really enjoyed it!! (i also beta read the sequel, so i got to read it before anyone else, mwahaha). right now i'm starting to read S by jj abrams + doug dorst, it has all of these epistolary story details that are really funnn :) i've also been reading some graphic novels to inspire my own work---my favorite's been skip by molly mendoza, literally THEEEE most beautiful and gorgeous book i've ever read! i could never make a book with that level of craft...truly aspirational
(i'm also going on a casual little vacation to a lake next week, so i might bring a different book for that---maybe annihilation? its been staring at me on my bookshelf forever now lol)

For Black History Month I was committed to reading books written by black authors. It’s something I’m working on in general but I wanted to especially read one for the month. The next book on my read list is a book written by a black female author in a genre where we as individuals re grossly under-represented. Alyssa Cole has written a novel that shares a sinister twist on gentrification and how…
