BeSa Tumblr ! I have something for you.

So I was looking on French Site Leboncoin for toys for my collection and toys in rough shape for custom projects (mostly MLP ones as they are quite popular) in bundles. Usually in these bundles labeled as MLP you find other horses and ponies from other medias and a lot of cheap, mcdonalds like toys. Including the Bella Sara set.

And for some reason a lot of Bellas... or so I thought.

I found this bundle :

As I looked through the horses (who seemed to all be victims of a pair of scissors) my eyes were drawn to this horse

A bald Bella. I assumed it was Bella at least. It is the Bella mold. But HappyMeal Bella does not have Pink gradients on her legs. I didn't think much of it because I quickly found this horse

Just behind the Chap Mei unicorn : a white horse I thought to be Colour ! But... Colour didn't get a McDonalds toy ? But it is the same mold, again !

And finally I saw this one :

This one is a little different. I first thought it used the Violet mold but the bent front leg seems to be lower. One of the back legs also seems to be raised, like in a trot. But the head seems close to the BeSa horses' heads. I tried to see if there were other horse series that Happy Meals had that features these horse molds. But couldn't find any.

So I wonder, could this be a case of Bella Sara fakies ? Have you ever seen other Bella Sara fakies ? Should I investigate further ?

i started playing season 6, and i've got shit to say for the half of dozen people that are still following me in this cobweb infested blog (i apologize, i'll be explaining what's happening on a different post)

i'm only on day 2 of the season, right when it's announced that roberto is coming (which is so disappointing to me that he isn't brazilian but portuguese, like... WHEN ARE WE GETTING A GOOD BRAZILIAN CHARACTER????)

anyway, here are my thoughts:

WRITING:

i actually didn't see much of a problem with it so far. it feels on par with similar conversations we had in the past, except this time we're getting to know them a little deeper than, say, season 3.

knowing bella's family situation or roberto's is kind of refreshing because we barely learned bobby had a sister on a throwaway scene on s2, so... yeah, it's ok.

i like how they express themselves because as an litg player, i'm used to some eloquence, but as someone who sometimes watches the show i HAVE to suspend my disbelief since i know islanders from the show are just... NOT GOOD AT EXPRESSING THEMSELVES, to say the least.

i like the conversations we had so far, it felt fluid and fun, but then again i've only coupled up with jamal, because obviousoly i did, who would i go for, fucking ryan? WAKE UP.

the challenges piled up but because of how many dialogues we had in this little time i think it worked pretty well.

CHARACTERS:

grace - girl, it's been a day and ozzy is not even that hot. HAVE YOU SEEN YOURSELF? he's punching, not you. chill. (and i hate they're giving the intensity they gave hope here, feels bitterly familiar and they better fucking knock it off).

bella - FINALLY a girl i like who's available and slutty (affectionate) since the beginning. i absolutely think bella might be right there with talia when it comes to arc as an LI, but we'll see. if anyone dares stealing her or if fusebox even make the slight suggestion of a slowburn i'm burning their HQ idc

ivy - alright i see you bootleg marisol, but i don't give a shit, you're annoying, die in a hole.

amelia - i think she's putting a front and deflecting the negative attention to ivy but that's just me. also, the twist of the public choosing who she should couple up with before she could tell us is extremely dumb and unnecessary, but also a reason for her to say a different name later, maintaining her image of good sister. i don't trust her, i WILL step on her head to the finale, die in a pit you're also annoying.

jamal - i like the attention but everything with moderation gives me way more tingles than a crybaby that can't stop talking about how he wants to be with me again. we were coupled up for a few hours and only had one conversation, chill bitch. it's giving ted mosby and every himym fan knows how bad that is. i'm not sure if every guy that the public chooses to be with amelia on night 1 acts the same, but i'm slightly turned off. it's too much boy, calm down, i'm here to be a slut, calm down.

ryan - get a haircut or let it grow because looking twelve and the coolest lesbian at the same time is not the look for you. its giving hipster with a chemistry kit at the local café.. also, either you're the douchey musician or a bad poet, you can't be both, PICK A STRUGGLE.

lewie - the impersonation of being stuck in traffic. i don't care for you, die in the same hole as ivy and amelia.

ozzy - fucking pulling the noah, man. i've seen this before and i'm not interested. stop being such a coward and tell grace how you feel. i know for a fact you're gonna be drama and it's because you refuse to be honest. it's so embarrassing, bestie.

roberto - HOT. i only saw the preview but i'm excited.

PACING

it's great. i think it was kind of weird how fast and furious it was with some previous seasons (remember the last season i played was 3 and half of 4 {it was soooo tedious i gave up half way through}) but i think so far it's ok. it definitely has better cliffhangers than other times when they thought they tried their darnedest.

OBSERVATIONS WITH SCREENSHOTS:

there's no fucking way they thought these were worth diamonds. and 22 diamonds for that frufru purple shit??? it looks like something who doesn't sew would put together with a hot glue gun, stop.

ivy i might kill you like they kill one of those vampires at the end of the twilight saga, by opening your mouth so wide it cracks off your skull. SHUT - UP.

and amelia... you're irrelevant, get out.

i'll give ryan some cool points because 1, he burned ivy in front of everyone, and 2, he admitted and owned up to it. good for you, bestie, good luck when you take a trip to the hair salon and get rid of that... hair. also, STOP SKIPPING LEG DAY BUDDY. from the waist up it's giving "abs, hot, i go to the gym", from the waist down is giving "i'm twelve and there's a reason i go to the beach in pants".

bella and grace looking naked and glamorous but feeling threatened by this ugly ass dress is the funniest joke in the writing so far. truly. i've had mermaid costumes at 4 years of age less embarrassing than this atrocity. stop lying, bella and grace, YOU'RE BOTH NAKED AND PERFECT.

and that's what i have to say so far. i'll continue playing this season until they inevitably fuck up. i'm not being pessimistic, i'm just... well, i guess i am. but i have no reason to believe otherwise.

also, i keep forgetting ozzy is here even though it's been a day. idk why.

anyways, i'll come back with more litg brain rot in a bit.

Denial

A piece I was sitting on for a long while. Character study/emotional testing Bella's rise in the bootlegging industry wasn't a smooth one, and when you are someone struggling to compartmentalise what's going on, you start to lash out, assign blame to anyone but yourself. What better than Anise itself, the core ingredient of absinthe, clearly THAT is the true monster here.

Can I just say, I absolutely LOVE the end of Leech in the Rain, but it leaves me super curious about what the Quilieute tribe thinks of what went down...

Especially since their last encounter with vampires seems to be with team Edward + Bella after Jacob's death... Does Carlisle have plans to go back and explain things to them?

They're just generally horrified that they allowed this to happen because of very reasonable fear combined with ingrained biases. What happened with Renesmee happened in part because the tribe were very hands off due to her heritage as a half vampire. They didn't want involved, so they let Jacob do whatever he wanted (where Quil seems to be on a very tight leash when it comes to Claire). They turned a willful blind eye and made it very clear that Renesmee would not be turning to them if there was trouble. Now, because of that, they're looking at the aftermath in which a little girl was mauled near to death and crippled for life and the Cullens (whom they tolerated) went off the deep end and allowed monstrous things.

Essentially, they hold themselves partially responsible for not holding the Cullens and Jacob to task.

As for what they thought of their confrontation with the gang. It was essentially that Bella and Edward are monsters and that they have turned at least one more vampire who may or may not be on their diet, showing an extreme disregard for the treaty along with the wellbeing of their own daughter.

Point being, while they don't know most of the Cullens are dead, they would not be welcome back in the Forks area.

Doubtful. Carlisle has no reason to speak with them again and it'd likely be on very bad terms. The tribe knows he has a hand in at least some of what happened (either being hopelessly oblivious or willfully turning a blind eye). Add on that he couldn't stop half his coven from turning Renee (something the tribe witnessed when Bella brought him there) and the fact that they were spreading around rumors that Carlisle was a pedophile (something the wolves don't know isn't true even if it's coming from a suspect source) and this is looking very awkward. Not to mention knowing Edward and Bella's grisly deaths would be something Carlisle wouldn't see as their business. Carlisle was never particularly close to the wolves and would leave them to find their own conclusions to all of this.

As for Aro and Caius, they don't care. The wolves while fast are weaker than vampires (usually multiple having to fight one vampire) and they keep their rationality, their secret, and don't murder humans. They don't tick any of the Volturi boxes of needing any attention paid to them at all.

Ivy is like if someone watched Love Island s2 and idolized Lottie and Marisol both. Tries best to imitate that but fails horribly. She’s like the bootleg version of both of them. Come un suicidio, o della forza dietro a un'ispirazione inattesa.

Come chi mi segue dovrebbe ormai aver capito, io sono "un ragazzo dei 90s", nel senso che in quella meravigliosa e folle decade che ha visto la fine del ventesimo secolo e l'inizio del ventunesimo io ho avuto la fortuna di avere esattamente tra i dieci e i vent'anni. Nemmeno ve lo spiego cosa sono stati, questi benedetti anni '90; chi c'era, ne porta i segni indelebili e ha visto tante, tantissime, troppe cose - tra cui grandi promesse di mescolanza tra generi, razze, libertà, culture finite tutte con i grandi traumi del 2001 (per me personalmente, 20 Luglio e 11 Settembre) che ci hanno dato un calcio in culo e riportato in un mondo fatto di repressione, razzismo, opportunismo politico e follie generalizzate. Ma sto divagando. Dicevo, sono cresciuto anche musicalmente con tutta la bella musica degli anni '90, marchiato a fuoco dalla sacra trinità Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden e poi da tutto il resto a prescindere dalla scena di Seattle - Mudhoney, Korn, Green Day, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Pixies, Deftones, Sepultura, Pearl Jam, Sonic Youth, Placebo e così via che non basterebbero venti post a rimetterli tutti in fila. A quindici anni circa, su consiglio del maggiore dei miei fratelli (che viveva fuori e ne capiva - e ne capisce - parecchio di musica rock) sono andato a comprare al buio due CD presso il locale negozietto di dischi (capitemi, parliamo di Catanzaro, ce n'era a malapena uno). Che significa comprare al buio? Che io, di questi due dischi, non sapevo assolutamente nulla: uno era "Fight for your mind" di Ben Harper, che mi ha fatto fare un salto da gigante verso un genere musicale con il quale avevo poca confidenza (e rimane, ad oggi, il mio preferito di Harper) e l'altro era proprio "Superunknown" dei Soundgarden che io, da giovincello ignorante, all'epoca ignoravo. Un fulmine. Un terremoto, una catastrofe naturale. Non voglio parlare del disco in sé, quindi ne dirò solo una cosa che ho sentito dire una volta e che condivido al 100%: chiunque suoni uno strumento e voglia superare la gabbia delle ritmiche o dell'uso convenzionale di strumenti e voce dovrebbe impararlo a memoria (specie i batteristi, ma vale per tutti). Insomma, mi innamoro di Superunknown. E come potrebbe essere altrimenti? Parliamo del disco che contiene, TRA LE ALTRE, "Black Hole Sun" e "Spoonman". E infatti, io quei due pezzi li consumo - gli altri invece mi faranno compagnia negli anni a venire. Ma c'è uno di questi brani che, invece, nei primi ascolti di Superunknown, mi sfugge. Vai a capire perché: si tratta di "Like suicide". Forse perché il titolo mi inquieta un po'? In fondo, il suicidio di Cobain è davvero "l'altro ieri", vengo pur sempre da una educazione cattolica, la cosa mi inquieta, forse perché è il penultimo pezzo in scaletta, forse perché parte così lenta... la ignoro per molto tempo (che poi, di lì a poco si sarebbe presentato l'ancora più traumatico "Love is suicide" dei Pumpkins di Bodies). Che errore. Fast forward, anni dopo - sull'inizio degli anni zero - scopro il file sharing e inizio a derubare la rete di qualsiasi cosa per me sia una "rarità", vale a dire praticamente ogni bootleg, ogni b-side, ogni registrazione da radio locale si trovi delle band dei miei eroi. Ed è così che scopro questa versione di "Like suicide" acustica, meravigliosa, profondissima. E me ne innamoro perdutamente. E siccome ho internet (56k, poi ISDN, poi ADSL ma qui siamo proprio agli esordi) faccio come sempre un bel giro sui vari siti versione geocities o altavista, con la grafica ammazzaocchi, a scaricarmi il testo per stamparmelo e cantarla e suonarla. E ne scopro la storia. Ma - intermezzo - eccola qui:

Chiaramente non nella versione Napster, ma quella carina bella e rimasterizzata della deluxe edition di Superunknown. La storia mi colpisce tanto da rimanermi in testa a vita: Chris Cornell (che - ed è una ferita assolutamente aperta - morirà suicida pure lui, dopo il suo ultimo concerto, nel 2017, privandoci per sempre del suo meraviglioso timbro vocale) in sostanza sta dormendo a casa sua quando sente un colpo alla porta d'ingresso. Si alza, apre la porta e trova un uccellino - un pettirosso - agonizzante, che si è spezzato il collo volando contro la porta. La cosa lo segna, lo colpisce a tal punto che - ucciso pietosamente l'uccellino agonizzante con un mattone, per evitargli ulteriori sofferenze - rientra in casa e scrive questa canzone, riportando in maniera quasi didascalica l'accaduto:

Risulta bellissimo, se mi perdonate l'interruzione, l'uso del femminile per indicare gli uccelli. Cosa ne sai se l'uccellino è maschio o femmina? Ma Madonna, ad esempio, fa lo stesso in Frozen: "Love is a bird / she needs to fly". Non è che ci sia una regola grammaticale per questo ma, sospetto, solo puramente poetica. E che dire di "she lived like a murder" per indicare che si tratta di un pettirosso, uccello che da sempre da' l'impressione di avere il petto sanguinante, come se avesse commesso un omicidio? Ma Chris, a questo punto, ci racconta cosa gli succede dopo aver posto fine alla sofferenza del pettirosso:

To bite the bullet, mordere il proiettile, mandare giù il rospo in pratica: un gusto così amaro (so sour) che bisogna per forza mandarlo via pensando a qualcosa di dolce: l'amore è simile al suicidio. La corsa verso una porta chiusa, spezzandosi il collo per presentarsi all'altro come un broken gift. E a chi resta non rimane che rifugiarsi al sicuro, fuori dalla propria gabbia dorata, impugnare una tonnellata di rabbia da un grammo di dolore e scrivere una canzone, da dedicare a questo incidente così struggente nel suo essere, comunque, ordinario e non fuori dal comune, per scrivere how I feel for you e mandare via quel maltaciuto senso di colpa - di cosa, poi? - che già mostrava quanto potesse essere sensibile l'animo di Chris, con i suoi occhi iniettati di sangue e amareggiati d'azzurro. Mi è ricapitata stasera, nel mezzo di uno dei minestroni di Spotify (Acoustic rock best o qualcosa del genere?) e ho ripensato a quanto sia bella. Anche nella sua versione elettrica, è bellissima - una grunge ballad con pochissime rivali in assoluto - ma questa, così acustica, sembra quasi di sentirla mentre Chris, ancora mezzo assonnato e preso male per l'accaduto, la compone verso per verso e nota per nota.

New theory that I just thought out from that Amaya wearing expensive AF designer stuff:

Rainbow High is a front for a sweatshop that deals with bootleg stuff. That’s why everything is labeled with “Rainbow”, “Rainbow High” or “RH”, they have to pay the crazy expensive shit they have. 

It’s also why Bella was expelled, because they are using some legal loophole with their bootlegs, but a student participating on other stuff with crap they did at RH puts them at risk of lawsuits.

Oh boy, merch for Fugo? Well admittedly, my country doesn't have like a lot of jojo merch to begin with (I mean it's still well known here but not so much to like have a widespread of bootleg merchandise or something of the sort) but I genuinely really want one of the neckties bandai released for Fugo back in 2019 bc I thought it would be cute to have a copy of one of his ties and use it as either a makeshift headband or a hair tie, yknow?

Other than that, I also like the seiko watch! I remember reading about it and immediately wishing I had one but they didnt sell the watch here so :'D But I do have the next best thing which are these cute strawberry earrings my aunt bought me when she, my sister and grandma went out this one time. I wear it every now and then and I think it's the closest thing I have to having like Fugo merch.

As for the date? The cutest thing me/my sona could do for Fugo is probably taking him out to this interactive museum near my place called the Mind Museum! I've been there before with my family and I think it would be a fun date for us both since it's an interactive environment and I could see the both of us geeking out and stuff!

Giorgio V., arriva “Yeke” (Acetone) ed una vita piena di musica

Giorgio V., uno dei talenti del team funky house di Acetone, il 30 e 31 marzo torna in console a Le Vele di Alassio, dove è dj resident da tempo. Ed è in uscita a breve (mentre scriviamo, 16 marzo 2024, è in preorder su Beatport) una sua irresistibile versione di “Yeke”.

Ascoltarla senza muoversi a tempo è un po’ dura. Anzi impossibile. E’ uno di quei pezzi simbolo del sound Acetone che è sì funky house, ma è soprattutto musica che ai dj serve. Come tutte quante le release degli artisti Acetone, prime tra tutte quelle di Nari, Steve Tosi, Giorgio V., Sandro Puddu… Ma torniamo alla musica, anzi alla Musica. La musica per un artista come Giorgio V. conta più di tutto. Più del successo, più del proprio ego.

I dj sono come il vino, a volte, migliorano con gli anni. Ma hanno bisogno di restare vicini all’energia dei vent’anni… e non è facile.

E’ vero, l’energia è fondamentale. Oggi sono cresciuto, sono più selettivo nel lavoro. Nel senso che un tempo l’energia me la dava fare semplicemente il dj, oggi devo cercarla anche altrove. Adesso l’energia me la dà sapere che vado a fare una serata in cui posso proporre, la musica che mi piace, compatibilmente con quella con la pista che ho davanti.

E come lo definiresti il tuo sound?

“Il mio sound ha una ‘forbice’ abbastanza larga, che va dalla dal funky dall’House alla Tech House, quindi. Posso variare molto e non essere troppo condizionato dai gusti personali di chi gestisce i locali, dei clienti più importanti, che magari sono fanatici solo di certi brani.

Da cos’è che non deve farsi condizionare troppo un dj?

Da tante cose, ad esempio dalle mode musicali del momento. Un dj deve comunque proporre musica che sento almeno un po’ sua, sennò l’energia non passa e deve suonare in locali che sente simili a sé per coinvolgere chi balla. Faccio un esempio: vanno di moda trap e reggaeton? Io continuo a proporre la ‘mia musica’, che non è quella. La mia musica è da sempre la House, che deriva dal funky, dalle voci, dalla melodia e dal ritmo. Hai presente la chitarrina funky? Io quella la uso sempre.

Da che parte sta andando il suono dei club del pianeta terra (isole comprese)?

E’ molto difficile dirlo. Sono però convinto che si tornerà presto a far ballare con musica bella. Le mode, quando coinvolgono sonorità che funzionano ma non così importanti, passano. Ricordi il periodo dell’EDM svedese? A me non piaceva molto. Ed è passata, guarda caso, si è tornati ad ascoltare e ballare sonorità più vicine alla disco… oppure alla techno, un altro genere musicale che ha al suo interno tante diverse sfumature. Finisce l’hype, la moda, le tendenze… e resta la musica.

Che consigli musicali daresti a chi vuol scoprire la musica da ballo?

“Due album che secondo me possono davvero davvero far crescere un dj o chi vuol conoscere la musica da ballo. Il primo, in ordine di tempo, è il doppio vinile della colonna sonora de ‘La febbre del sabato sera’. Il secondo, in ordine cronologico, è ancora un doppio album, ‘London Calling’ dei Clash, 12 generi musicali diversi, dal reggae al punk dentro. Ho adorato anche i Sex Pistols e il punk in generale, ho un loro bootleg splendido… ma la varietà musicale dei Clash è imbattibile. Tutti a casa, adesso, ad ascoltare questi due dischi!”.
