if a season 3 was guaranteed then that ending would be great. people love angst, i dont but wtv not the point. a 3rd season is Wanted by everyone and the plot is planned but its not guaranteed we'll get it. i wish that wasn't the ending to a what could be possibly the last season for this series.

i heard some folks want to boycott out of anger but please dont thats the last thing we need. we need s3 and the only way is to stream it. do not boycott or else we will never get a season 3 and will be left on this ending permanently

Genuine question: why are so many people on this website calling for a boycott on the new LOTR prequel show, yet I haven’t even seen 10% of that energy directed towards House of the Dragon? You know, that show from the company that just butchered its entire lineup and threw countless shows and movies into the dumpster for a quick buck? I swear, the whole Rings of Power tag is full of “fuck Amazon” and performative outrage and saying you’re a bad person for watching it, but HBO Max gets off scot free? What’s going on here, people?

Listen, I’m not watching either of these shows. They don’t interest me, I don’t care enough about them, whatever. I have no vested interest in defending or criticizing either. But there is something so fucking weird about how we’re burning Rings of Power at the stake for the crime of being produced by Amazon, yet those morals go completely out the window where House of the Dragon is concerned. What happened to boycotting HBO Max? Do the countless creators who had their lives work destroyed not matter anymore? Because from where I’m standing, this smacks of yet another case of fandom wank trying to pass itself off as activism. Fuck this one show I didn’t care about in the first place for its shitty company, but who cares about this other company being shitty when they brought my favorite blorbos back?

I dunno, y’all just make me really tired sometimes. Stop letting HBO Max use your Game of Thrones nostalgia to run damage control for their horrendous actions. Stop being selective with your outrage if you’re actually trying to make a difference. Please.

(Not that it needs to be said, but this post is not directed at the far too few of you who are equally critical of both shows. Y’all are fine. I just wish there were more of you.)

Apparently there's people who want to boycott Good Omens cause they didn't like the ending. Idiots. Fucking buffoons.

Boycotting (unless stated otherwise) hurts strikes. The message you're sending to corporations when you boycott isn't "support your workers or I'll stop giving you money" the message you're sending is "I don't care about your workers."

When it comes to the current strike with WGA, you can absolutely watch whatever you like. You can watch the Barbie movie, Good Omens, Oppenheimer, the PJO remake, the FNAF movie, the One Piece movie, or whatever else.

The movies and shows you want to boycott aren't out yet. If the strike continues for long enough, Hollywood could be desperate and make a movie only using AI and that's the movie you'll want to boycott.

If you don't have an alternate to piracy, that's fine, piracy is for cool kids (and if you want to know some piracy tips r/piracy is a good place to look and you can feel free to DM me because I'm more than happy to share the sites I use). But if you want to support the strike do not boycott.
