Harry and Louis taking a moonlit walk?
Camping isn't Harry's favourite idea but as it is Louis' weekend to choose what they do for date night, he doesn't feel objecting is fair. So, he lugs the rucksack over his back of the belongings they will require for the mystery walk Louis has apparently planned out to the final details.
'Where are we going?' He asks, catching up to Louis who has magically gotten a spring in his step. 'You know I'm not a fan of surprises.'
'No, but I am and seeing your face when the surprise is revealed will be worth every complain and plead on the way,' Louis quips, reaching for his boyfriend's hand. Their fingers intertwine.
'Please Lou,' Harry whines, batting his eyelashes.
Louis shakes his head, a smug smile tugging at his lips. 'Absolutely not. Did you brink a flask of tea, blanket and some snacks for the journey? - should we become peckish - that or get lost.' He shrugs nonchalantly.
'Lost?' Harry parrots. 'Do you - not like - know the way?'
'Of course I do, babe. But it's the night and we will only have one thing guiding us.'
Harry arches a brow. 'One thing - and what's that?'
'Patience, H. It's a virtue,' Louis insists with a wink. Harry rolls his eyes. 'It'll be worth the wait, I promise. Just a few more yards - a sharp left and Bob's your uncle!'
'I've never had an uncle called Bob - and what's that got to do with anything?'
Louis blinks, seemingly unsure if Harry's toying with him or whether he's completely and utterly clueless. He fish mouths, finding words difficult to process and air.
Harry bursts into a fit of laughter, slapping his knees in delight. 'Your face - such a picture!'
'You!' Louis blurts, giving him a playful shove. Harry stumbles, but regains his balance when Louis clutches his arm. The pair stagger around the corner, doubled over in laughter. Though it swiftly halters when Harry's eyes trail upwards, above the treeline and halting on the full moon. It's in all its glory, cators crisp and cloud free. The light illuminates the path ahead, as if a guiding light. He turns to face Louis, furrowing his brows when he's smiling proudly in response.
'Ta-da!' Louis exclaims with jazz hands.
'A walk in the moonlight?' Harry asks and Louis firmly nods. 'But this is your choice for date night, Lou-'
Louis intertwines their fingers, pulling Harry a little closer. Their lips an inch apart. 'Yes and I'm choosing to please the love of my life. Seeing your face light up, is the highlight of my days.'
'But...'
'Just like seeing you absolutely speechless warms my heart in ways I cannot describe,' Louis confesses, voice barely a whisper.
Harry smiles fondly. 'I love you.'
'I love you too. More than you could ever know,' Louis admits. He's about to step closer when Harry kisses him. It's firm, yet filled with lust and desire.
Together they kiss beneath the moonlight, it basking over their beings as their hands become entangled in one another's hair. A wonder of time is irrelevant, just like the stillness that surrounds them, unfazed by its eeriness. Nothing matters except the two of them, in that moment, as a unit. The world has stopped turning in their eyes.
