I’m a very city girl and now I’m imagining going to the country side and meeting farmtale Sans…

You moved there for some reason and need a place to stay, Sans was kind enough to give you somewhere to stay with some chores to do to lower your rent. You’re not experienced and you’re not that good with the chores- sometimes farm animals freak you out (cows are big, theres so many chickens, what iS THAT GIANT SPIDER?!), you can’t move heavy stuff around, even the tools are heavy for you.

And… Sans thinks you’re cute. He can do the work you do much faster than you could, but he likes your company. Every time you drop a stack of hay and panic he can’t help but chuckle and throw it on top of the pile in his arms. He likes how you’re impressed by his skill with tools and the fact that he can drive tractors. You may not be good at your job, but he likes that you want to learn anyway. You like the animals when he teaches you how to read their behavior better.

He really likes it when he saves you from a giant bug and you give him “my hero” eyes…

I really hope this hasn't been asked already (if it has, I couldn't find it), but do you know what sfth stuff each of the boys does? like I think I've heard that AJ and Tom do the editing, Tom has a scheduling spreadsheet, and recently Luke has been writing descriptions for the videos.... do they stick to the same tasks or does each of them do a bit of everything? and what's all the "admin" stuff Tom keeps talking about???

Hello! (Sorry for taking a couple of days to answer this, my tumbir keeps crashing right as I'm trying to post things)

Honestly there's bound to be a LOT of admin things that the guys do, and I don't quite know them all :) With most things, I reckon there's not really a sure way to know exactly who's done what. They might have set things they do for some tasks, and others that are more just any of them, but I really don't know. I do know that Tom does the longform thumbnails and some of the game ones, and Luke does the rest of the game ones. Tom and AJ also tend to take care of posting things on patreon.

I think I remember one of them once mentioned how Sam and Luke both have day jobs which means that Tom and AJ have a bit more time on their hands to deal with sfth stuff. I believe Tom and AJ also have all of sfth's footage between the two of them on hard drives.

SFTH have editors and an agent, as well as people who film them/take care of tech (eg live-streamed shows) (who also edit, I think?) The subtitle and translation teams are fan volunteers.

And to answer what admin is, it's basically just the things that need to happen behind the scenes for everything to actually go ahead (and go well) - so like the organisation and the paperwork and the contacting people and venues and the making big decisions and the planning patreon things, that's admin. Also stuff like making the thumbnails, writing the descriptions and actually uploading the videos would be admin too. I'd imagine that their agent would probably be contacting venues and booking shows, but ldk.

A/N: *blows dust off my keyboard* Uh hey guys. Fancy seeing you all here! Anyway I'm feeling blehhh and I've been thinking about the mud dogs a lot lately, so here you go have this for free <33 Also if you have mud dogs requests, send em in! Will I get to them? Who could possibly know. But reqs are open all the same

Well, they don't like seeing you miserable, that's for sure.

None of them are really used to dealing with this kind of thing. Sure, they all have experience being around people who've been sick and sometimes even helping with it depending on who the person was, but since taking up a life of crime they've gotten a bit rusty. They're way better at patching up the cuts and bruises you all get from your various missions and heists, but taking care of someone who's just caught a bug or has invisible pain going on? It's not their strong suit. But that doesn't mean they don't still try.

Danny's the best at looking after you by far. While he might make a joke here or there, he's the least likely to get on your nerves, and the most likely to make you a warm beverage and a hot meal unprompted. He looks after Len and Mick enough when they overwork themselves or go too far on a job that he has a good understanding of what you need: time, rest, and peace and quiet (the latter said while he glares at your other two friends). I take back all my generalization, actually- he's not a bad caretaker at all! He'll stop by your room/your spot on the couch and ask how you're doing and if you're feeling up for accompanying them on some task, and he'll sit with you and rub your back and let you complain about how bad you feel if you want to. He keeps as many worries as possible off your plate, and encourages you to rest as much as you can. He doesn't care if you're all actively being hounded by the cops (which you probably are), he just says "that ain't for you to worry about. Go take your meds and lay down". While he may come across as stern, he really just wants you to feel better. He doesn't like seeing anyone he cares about in pain.

Leonard is brash and can be quite loud and irritating when the others are involved, but when left alone with you he's way softer than he is on a daily basis. He won't baby you, but he's way more likely to do what you ask of him without complaint (holding things for you, getting up and getting you stuff, microwaving lunch, changing the channel to something he normally would never watch). If you want to vent about how bad you feel, he's your man. To him, your pain is something he can shit-talk with you about ("That fucking sucks. Why's your body doing this? This guy bothering you? Next time someone sneezes on you, tell me. I'll take care of them"), and he's only a little bit serious. He'll continue on with the bit if it makes you laugh- actually, there's little he won't do to try and lighten your mood, so if the two of you have any embarrassing/silly inside jokes that you want him to recreate or a funny voice you want him to do, this is the time. He'll deny you for a few minutes, but he's super easy to sway when you're sick. I hope Danny and Mick were there to see him do some cheesy shit to make you feel better. The big softie. They'll never let it go.

Mickey's just a pure wild card here, god help you. It's not like he's bad, he's just a bit chaotic because he really wants to fix whatever's going on with you, and gets impatient when he realizes there's nothing either of you can do but ride it out. He's very good about reminding you take any meds or painkillers you need though, and he comes up with a lot of other ways to ease your discomfort. Anything that usually helps you, he's down to do, no joke. He'll be your body pillow or heating pad or wrap his arms around your face if you have a headache. He cares the least about the possibility of you getting him sick and will be in your space and company as much as you want him to, though if you're feeling touch adverse you may have to shoo him away. If he's pestering you, feel free to tell him you're annoyed- he's got thick skin and knows you love him, so he won't take it to heart. He's a good sport.

Mick's also the most likely to procure mystic medicine for you, not realizing the potential negative effects that could have on a human, especially when a few of his medicines definitely came from the black market.

I won't lie, it's not the most ideal situation you could be in. The guys' lives are chaotic and messy and often lacking in common physical comforts. But they always look out for you when you need it. Them having your back doesn't just apply to high-stakes cons and heists, they're there for you 24/7 (no matter how much beauty sleep they might lose). You're part of their messy little family, and they'll always do their best to take care of you, even if they might be lacking in a few areas.

ohohoho ideas in brain >:) now this is just a potential idea because I think it could be fun, but I also don’t know how well it would mesh with current mudlore. ANYWAY.

Basically, the idea is that the original clans (pre-micaclan's formation) each had a patron spirit to like. sponsor the first leaders with their nine lives or whatever. And they have to be old spirits, with deep connections to the grounds the clans make their territory. And this is how starclan kinda forms, with the backing of this Extra Strong Ghost that kinda rallies their spirits in the beginning before finally passing on. Maybe the only ghosts that can be this type of patron spirit are the ones who feel as though they can't pass on without leaving a legacy?? idk yet I'm still Thinking.

So a lack of Strong Ghost Friend is stopping Mica from having a legitimate entry into leadership with the nine lives and such, and no starclan for her and her clan(?? still thinking about this). Maybe a healer from one of the other clans defects/gets kicked out, and they explain this all to Mica after joining her little not-yet-an-actual-clan. So mica is like, where do you even find an old ghost. how am i gonna get one of those. And one of her friends is like "well they say everything further upstream of the river is Super Cursed and my friend's mom's cousin told me it's because of an ancient ghost there that hates everyone and everything" and Mica goes "PERFECT I'll go talk to them!!" ignoring how Healer is like "THAT PLACE IS CURSED FOR A REASON DO NOT GO THERE"

So Mica goes upstream with a couple of her buddies, until she finds the river's source. And there she meets Ancient Angry Ghost, who turns out to be the ghost of a smilodon. It pops up out of the water and it's not saying any words but it's basically radiating 'you're gonna die' energy. And Mica just starts talking to them. Like she's definitely freaking out and terrified but she's SO good at playing cool. And maybe she leaves after they get too angry, but she comes back the next day. And then next. And the next. And she eventually manages to wear down this angry prehistoric ghost into being her friend.

Maybe it turns out they stuck around so long because they were the last of their kind, and they never got closure for the loneliness they felt in life. They come to like Mica for her brash spirit, unwavering courage, and surprisingly sharp cunning. When Mica offers them friendship, offers them a group to carry on their way of life in the present day, they agree to be the clan's patron spirit.

This is all because I think it would be cool for Micastar to have this giant ghost warrior of Ye Olden Days following her around like "YOU MUST BE WILLING TO KILL TO PROTECT YOUR OWN. YOU MUST TREAT YOUR ENEMIES AS THE DUST BENEATH YOUR PAWS. DEFEND YOUR FAMILY AGAINST ANY WHO WOULD ENDANGER IT" and Mica being like "it don't bite :)" and the other clans being like "YES IT DO—"

I was so intrigued by the banner for Make Up With Mud that I didn't even bother reading the description before starting episode 1.

I have a love/hate relationship with make-up. I LOVE how make-up looks and how I feel when wearing it, but I often dislike the actual feel of make-up itself and the commentary it invites. I'm very slow at putting it on. That's time that could go to other things. Most of the time, it doesn't feel worth it to me. I tend to save it for Halloween or special events. I absolutely love shows that get into makeup or fashion though.

We start with our lead discussing how "the me with makeup on is filthy". I'm immediately having When It Rains swamp flashbacks. This feels like it's going to explore personal desires and identity. I'm always here for that. Plus, that shot is a vibe.

The boyfriend is a controlling bastard complete with villain music. The music is so on the nose that it's comical to me. Not subtle at all. We're not even going to try to pretend this man is good. Got it. I'm not even sure I'd count her lipstick as red in this scene (which was apparently the issue).

Enter our...second lead? Maybe. It's at this point that I know I will be watching this show until the end no matter what crimes it commits. This is Princess Jellyfish vibes. That's pure nostalgia for me. I learned so much about myself watching that show/reading that manga.

However, I also have no idea how I'm going to tag this post to get it to the right people. Hmm. 🤔 Anyways, is Eve (our crossdresser) a romantic second lead? It's definitely possible given this info. This could also turn out to be a self-love story though.

Our meek mouse lead inadvertently asks for a makeup lesson from Eve. And, I mean....I get what they're going for in terms of message. But ideally it would be both. For example, there are a lot of clothes I absolutely love that I wouldn't wear. They don't suit my body or my lifestyle. I do appreciate the thought though.

Nope. Villain music already told us that isn't going to happen. A girl can dream though, right?

Yeah, me too. This show hasn't been exactly A grade on the production/technical side so I appreciate the glowy haze here to depict her happiness.

But yeah, knew he wasn't going to like it. Our meek mouse feels instantly defeated. I feel for her. I know that feeling. It was over a dress, not make-up - but the principal is the same. It sucks when your partner rains on your parade.

Seriously? I didn't mean literal rain! The show really isn't making ANY effort for us to like or understand this man. He's a paper-thin caricature of a manipulator at this point. Coming off of Fujisawa in When It Rains and Jae-min in Secret Relationships, this guy is laughable. He's so obvious that the only reason our lead is staying is that she's a true meek mouse character. Also paper-thin. For the record, I don't mind meek mice characters. I think there's space for all types in dramaland.

Yeah, there's no subtlety here. Which...ehh. I do prefer my villains a little more nuanced.

He's exhibiting classic abuser signals, but our meek mouse is swayed. He says he'll marry her after all. He's a lawyer. It's everything society says she should want in life.

We're hammering in on the "purity" vs. personal desires theme. It's very to the point. Villain music is extremely obvious.

But I am still vibing, because ....

Eve is amazing. Or at least Eve's fit is amazing 😍.

I love Eve. Everyone needs an Eve in their life. Man is speaking facts. That said....this dialogue has NO nuance. It's not giving me anything to dig into, because it's so obvious. Unless I wanted to self-reflect, but that's dangerous territory. 😬

Miku invites our paper villain, but he declines. Not shocking. He also instructs Miku to not go and just stay home. Also not shocking.

At least our meek mouse is recognizing her feelings to some degree.

Which is probably why she goes to the flea market. Even a meek mouse has moments of disobedience. Especially if their desires are being consistently ignored.

Eve serves in another great fit. I LOVE their earrings.

Eve is taking meek mouse to explore the world of style. Trying to decide if Eve has ulterior motives 😘. Seems very likely given the narrative and music cues. Eve is the only character so far that may have hidden depths.

Meek Mouse, I understand. Well, for me it's self-denial rather than self-deprecation. But still ... trouble is a hassle. That said - your man is no bueno. This might be the first line in the show that I think has some analysis value. It's a "habit" and bad habits are hard to break.

And look who decided to show up to the flea market. Paper villain isn't pleased with his meek mouse, and he's storming off to see Eve. The music and editing just makes me laugh 😂. It's so very direct.

At the end of episode 1, I'm vibing. It's a bit too direct and over the head with all of its themes so far. But, I'll forgive everything for Eve at this point.

This was a fun lunch break distraction if nothing else.
