As someone who didn't want Bones to animate unreleased content, I recant, I repent, I apologize to everyone who heard me complain.
EPISODE ELEVEN WAS pretty much EVERYTHING I'VE WANTED FOR A VERY LONG TIME!!!
Highlights:
Dazai's funky little giggles. This man is so SKRUNKLY even while he has a broken ass and a broken leg and who knows how many other injuries. I love him <33 (I bet his funky little cast thing was made by Chuuya. Now I need Dazai with a cane.)
CHUUYA WAS NEVER A VAMPIRE? This just went from tragic to HYSTERICAL. You're telling me this little guy who isn't as good at lying as other characters managed to lie to FYODOR OF ALL PEOPLE and put on the best acting job of the CENTURY, all the while wearing cosplayer contacts and fake vampire teeth, superglued by Mori??
Nikolai's conflicted and gay little monologue whilenhllding Fyodor's severed hand. Need I say more.
BRAM! HAS! A BODY! AND HE IS AYA'S KNIGHT?! LET'S FRICKING GOOOOOOOOO (Now I need him to forcibly adopt her and take her away from her pathetic excuse of a father <33)
TERUKO GOT TO KILL FUKUCHI!!! My friend freaking called this a long time ago and it was So. Incredibly. Satisfying. Just yes.
Fukuzawa's tortured screams. Fukuzawa not being subjected to the "old man mentor must die" troupe. Fukuzawa slowly dying inside as he listens to Fukuchi's fricked up plan. Fukuzawa unable to kill him. Fukuzawa needs SEVERAL HUGS-
KUNIKIDAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!! (that is all <33)
Also who knows what the frick is happening in the last 50 seconds of the anime, but Akutagawa in his Detective coat from the BSD Mayoi game, a neck scarf, and a knight?? helmet?? is honestly such a slay, I ain't even mad.
TINY CLIP OF TECCHOU AND KENJI!! THE NEW BESTIES!!!
Bravo. I'm content. Now I can finally enjoy this arc in peace, knowing they ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER (except for the OP villains. Goodbye, and good riddance. RIP to the Fyolai fans.)

I have a couple of theories as to what might happen in episode 11 of bsd
The world is going to end. In the anime at least. It sounds crazy but what if that was asagiri planned this? We know he works with bones studio so maybe he wanted two create two different universes, kind of like the beast au, with the anime and the manga. If that's the case I think that in the anime the world ends, but in the manga something else happens and the Ada or whoever would save the day. Doing this would put emphasis on the book and how it can create different universes, or just the weird multiverse thing in general that we see in the beast au. This would also explain why bones was so quick to churn out season five, so that it could actually catch up with the manga so that they could pull this twist. It would be sad if that did actually happen though because I genuinely love this show and never want the anime or manga to end. I might just be crazy but I think this would be interesting if this did happen though.
I've seen theories that Verlaine is gonna show up or something, which doesn't sound too far fetched. I haven't actually read stormbringer, so I don't actually know how long stormbringer is, but brining in Verlaine would be a good segue into the next season or movie. I imagine that bones would take time to animate stormnbringer while giving time for more chapters of the manga to come out in this case.
Whatever is going to happen in the next chapter happens and we just wait a couple of years for a new season of the main story.
We get a flashback or something. Like a more fleshed out version of sigmas backstory or something similar.

bsd season 5 ep10 rambling
Episode 10 was so amazing! Like, even just the music, the whispering chants when Fyodor was trying to manipulate Sigma, the way all the music kicks in when Sigma touches Fyodor and One Order is activated, how it builds but then breaks into silence when Dazai gets “shot” in the head for the lead into the finale. Then much more ominous, war-drum music starts to play at the very end.
This episode was also just so brutal. Hearing Fyodor’s screams as he pretends to have a mental breakdown and then how young he looked, Atsushi’s screams as he has is limbs torn off, how quickly Fyodor just kicks Sigma in the fucking face, how abruptly Chuuya shoots Dazai in the shoulder, like with no hesitation, no sigh from Dazai like in the manga, and how pained Dazai sounded, like the way his voice almost broke on the pain when he yelled at Chuuya for shooting him in the shoulder.
Also Sigma bringing a gun to a knife fight and still losing against Fyodor is never not gonna be funny to me. But they did such a good job with all the Sigma and Fyodor stuff in my opinion, and I was really worried about that cuz like this is important stuff.
Don’t know how I feel about some of the changes to Dazai’s lines and lack of lines
Nearly had a heart attack when they started to include 110. But the way Aya’s father has made her feel like such a failure, but Bram has been trying to console her and make it clear that it isn’t her fault that this is happening or that it isn’t working out, it’s simply the way things are sometimes, is so good.
Also maybe stupid but I don’t really think that was Chuuya shooting Dazai several more times. It almost looked to me like a glitch in Fyodor’s feed of Dazai body. No more holes in the wall or seemingly Dazai show up. I think it was just a dramatic echo. It wouldn’t make any sense for Chuuya to shoot him more. Weren’t his orders. And Dazai only twitches twice for the 5 gunshots heard.
Kinda worried about what the next chapter releases will look like. Like, one episode this season on average has adapted about 3 chapters I feel like, and ep10 did 4, so if we have a completely anime only ep next week that the manga has to then adapt, I’m worried it’ll be a couple months/couple chapters until we get to new content. Honestly don’t know how any of this will work, so that’s fun. Totally not losing my mind.

ISTG AFTER THAT FUCKING EPISODE OF BSD BONES IS PROBABLY GOING TO MAKE UP SOME BITCHASS ENDING. THE WAY THEY ANIMATED IT THROWS AWAY ALL MY THEORIES AND IS JUST SO MUCH DIFERENT FROM THE MANGA?? WHERE DID THOSE EXTRA SHOTS COME FROM??? WHERE DID DAZAI'S DEATH SPEECH GO?? BRO IS OBVIOUSLY FUCKING DEAD NOW LIKE WTF THE ONLY THEORY THAT I HAVE THAT REMAINS IS THAT AYA WILL FIND OUT SHE HAS AN ABILITY, SHE TAKES ATUSHI'S PLACE, AND ATSUSHI TAKES DAZAI'S PLACE, AND DAZAI TAKES ODA'S PLACE BUT IT'S SO STUPID AND LIKE I PULLED IT OUT OF MY ASS CUZ I WAS BOOORRREEEDDD

Oh my gods that means this season ends with 110. They're gonna catch up all the way and I'm gonna have to wait another 3 years for another season but they're probably gonna give us stormbringer as a movie but my heart is gonna explode I can't do this. Studio Bones Why

Anime I Watched This Summer
Summer 2020 has officially come to a close. It’s fall in Animal Crossing and the trees are beginning to turn. Much like quarantine, I spent a lot of my free time watching anime when I wasn’t stressing over starting college. Now that the school year has begun, I thought it would be nice to reflect on everything I’ve watched!
These Anime were seen between 6/14 - 8/31 (my Birthday!) and are listed in chronological order.
They will be rated on a 1-10 scale; 1 meaning complete garbage, 10 meaning masterpiece. I will offer my thoughts on what I did/didn't like about each show!
1. Bakemono no Ko - 8/10
Tumblr media
This was such a great way to start out the summer! I love the dynamic between Kumatetsu and Ren. Overall its a little cliche, but it’s also very wholesome. It’s by the same studio that made Wolf Children (which I loved!). so I knew it was going to be good. My favorite aspect of this movie was its backgrounds and world building!
2. Wan Sheng Jie - 9/10
Tumblr media
Oh my gosh! I know that this is technically a donghua, but its on MAL, so it counts. This show quickly became my favorite slice of life of all time. I adore the art style and all of the characters. The comedy, plot, and design blends so well together. Everything in Wan Sheng Jie feels warm and comfy. It’s also confirmed for a second season! After seeing its cliff hanger ending, I’m so anxious for what comes next!
3. Dororo - 7/10
Tumblr media
I’ll be honest, I’m a sucker for studio MAPPA. I really liked the historical aspects of Dororo. From the outfits to the ways characters behave, its grounded in the constraints of feudal Japan. I would have given this show a higher score if it was a little more grounded in science. I feel like more time should’ve been given to the demons and antagonists of the show. Our MC was so over powered, which made the final fights of the series more lack-luster. I think its less of the anime’s fault and more because the original source material is from the 60s. That being said, I loved this show! It was cute and action packed. Though it isn’t perfect, it holds its own.
4. Bungou Stray Dogs - 5/10
Tumblr media
The concepts and action are misconstrued in Bungou Stary Dogs. This is one of those shows that I chose to watch because it was all over Tumblr. The powers themselves are cool, but I can’t understand why this series is so praised. At it’s core its predictable and basic. The fights seemed low stakes and low energy. None of the humor really felt like it belonged. It tried too hard to be something it isn’t. I don’t think I’ll watch beyond this first season.
5. Kami no Tou - 4.5/10
Tumblr media
First off, fuck Rachel, me and my homies hate Rachel. I really really had high hopes for Tower of God. It paves the way for Webtoon adaptations in the future. Its such a shame that this adaptation SUCKED. I have not read the source material, I’m going solely based on the anime. It wasn’t good? It was horrible. I hate Bam, I hate Rachel. I think all the characters expect Rak were awful. Please don’t make a season 2. Please. If you’re interesting in Tower of God, just read the webtoon.
6. Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun - 7/10
Tumblr media
Shoujo anime is my guilty pleasure. I especially liked the way Gekkan Shoujo tackled Sakura and Nozaki’s relationship. Besides just the main characters, even the side characters were enjoyable! It was a fun and creative show. My only complaint is how dense Nozaki is, but I also absolutely love that part of him.
7. Jojo no Kimyou no Bouken (Parts 1-2) - 6.5/10
Tumblr media
Jojo is not the saving grace of shounen anime. It isn’t something super revolutionary and it certainly will never be a 10/10. Part 1 was so slow and boring. Jonathan was just mediocre at best. I definitely liked Joseph a LOT more than Jonathan. Part 2 overall was much easier to watch than part 1. The fights are good, but there’s just something about Jojo that I can’t get behind. Although I’m completely bashing this series, I’m going to keep watching it. At this point, I wanna know what a stand is.
8. Clannad - 5.5/10
Tumblr media
I was expecting Clannad to be sad, but instead I got a cute, slice of life, romance. It wasn’t unenjoyable, but it was also a pretty slow-burning show. I loved watching Nagisa and Okazaki slowly fall in love with each other. It was funny at times and sad at other points. I am currently watching Clannad: After Story (which I’ve heard is heartbreaking), so I’m hoping to get some catharsis out of that.
9. Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai...  - 6/10
Tumblr media
This show is only 12 episodes, and yet it still has filler episodes for some reason? I’m a person who doesn’t typically watch isekai because the genre is so over done. However, when it’s done in a very specific way it’s really fun to watch! This show was definitely a lot of fun, it’s also cute and has so many interesting character-character interactions. The ending is painfully cliche, but I think it adds to this shows charm.
10. Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen  - 8/10
Tumblr media
I loved Love is War so much! I love their weird romantic dynamic. I love the characters, and I love the animation. It’s over the top and executes it humor masterfully. The entire show fills you with anticipation for the two main characters. Kaguya is my favorite character. Although I haven’t seen season two yet, I most certainly will! I’m so upset I hadn’t seen this show sooner.
11. Great Pretender - 8.5/10
Tumblr media
This show is so colorful and bubbly. The animation is so smooth and they are able to tackle so many different kinds of things given its plot. The whole show itself just feels like summertime. It came out not to long ago, so some people may not be familiar with it. On top of the show itself, the music is great, with a Jazzy OP and and ED that features Freddie Mercury
12. Steins;Gate 0 - 8/10
Tumblr media
I loved the original Stein;Gate so much! So it’s no surprise how much I liked the second season. It builds significantly off the first season in a sort of “off shot” OVA kind of way. The events of Steins;Gate 0 don’t actually happen, but that doesn’t stop it from being meaningful. The big “twist” was predictable and a bit of a let down, but I still enjoyed this. Granted, I’m bias.
13. Seishun Buta Yarou wa Yumemiru Shoujo no Yume wo Minai - 9.5/10
Tumblr media
I sobbed. So much. This movie was phenomenal, it was such a trip. Having watched the original series, this tore my heart apart. It gets a high score for being able to take the characters I love and creating a wonderfully emotional experience. If you haven’t seen Bunny Girl Senpai, please watch it, and then watch this movie. You won’t regret it!
14. Hotaru no Haka - 6/10
Tumblr media
Grave of the Fireflies made me stop watching anime for a while. Studio Ghibli created something grim, something that leaves the viewers feeling hollow. Its a movie about WWII from Japan’s perspective. As an American, all I could feel while watching this was immense guilt. I will say though, that some of the movies main plot could have easily been prevented if the main character had swallowed his pride. His younger sister was also my least favorite character. I get that she’s a kid and that kids are fussy, but you would think that during wartime, she’d be more understanding and at least try to eat the things she dislikes.
15. Yagate Kimi ni Naru - 9/10
Tumblr media
This was a great way to end the summer. This is more that just GL romance, its a love story. Its about growing up and learning to understand your feelings. I related to Yuu so much, which made this more emotional than I expected. It’s really unlike another romance anime I’ve seen. I hope it gets confirmed for a second season. If not, I’ll be reading the manga.
Seasonal Shows: (Things that are still airing as of 9/5/2020)
1. The God of High School  7.5/10
Tumblr media
Another thing done by studio MAPPA. Are you surprised? I absolutely love the action in GoH. The plot however, is all over the place. The story seems fragmented and hard to follow. Like Tower of God, it was poorly adapted. I’m giving it such a high score, because it’s SO much more enjoyable then Tower of God.
2. Enen no Shouboutai: Ni no Shou - 4/10
Tumblr media
My thoughts on season 2 are about the same as my thoughts on season 1. The only difference is that this season has more Jojo references. I’ve rated it lower because its so repetitive. I’m so sick of watching it, but I’ve got to see it through the bitter end.
3. Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 2nd Season - 8.5/10
Tumblr media
All I’m going to say about Re:Zero is that I love it. I can’t give an accurate review of it because I’ve been hyping this season since it was announced. If you’re into non-typical isekai, watch Re:Zero, its so enjoyable!

no one asked but here’s the anime I’ve watched while in the pandemicverse and my thoughts on them. it’s actually a Lot for me bc I never really watched the genre ever in my life before these quote unquote unprecedented times. and yeah also these are all pretty much only the current popular ones but I’m not sitting through 60 seasons of naruto & friends or something obscure like “my sister turned into a left shoe and jumped 12,000 years into the future” so anyway here ya go
my hero academia: I like this one, it’s fun and upbeat with lots of kooky characters. I heard the fans are cringe compilation station tho but thankfully I can’t read 8/10
demon slayer: still in the process of watching this one and it slaps but man it definitely loses some points for me when they introduce those super demon slayers whatever they’re called, the ones w/ the single personality trait each and the worst character designs in history. legit looks like the circus came to town whenever they’re on screen. 8/10
jujutsu kaisen: i, from the bottom of my heart, don’t understand the plot of this one at all but the art style and soundtrack are completely insane 9.5/10
dr. stone: one of my favs this show literally gets me hyped over some guy making a lightbulb 10/10
bungou stray dogs: I thought this was like your boilerplate anime before I realized i was watching two anime emo supremes fight f. scott fitzgerald on top of blimp that’s actually moby dick reimagined and careening out of the sky at 1000 miles an hour then I figured it was actually something really special 10/10
one piece: I did not and will not watch all 1000 episodes of this but I hear it play on tv when my husband watches it and it makes him super happy and I love him so 10/10 ❤️
promised neverland: I can’t remember watching this but it’s showing up as continue watching on hulu so uh 3/10
attack on titan: 3 seasons of ??? and then another of war crimes idk maybe 6.5/10 because I think the plot is interesting but a little 2 scary 4 me
tokyo ghoul: what a darksided sad depressing show why do you all like it so much are you okay. i seriously thought I’d need (more) therapy after season 1, season 2 was boring, and then it became completely unwatchable 2/10
blue exorcist: fun show but ended as soon as it really started, legit a prologue to a show that never came so that was weird 6/10 (no I’m not checking out the books i don’t need supplemental reading material for anime)
fire force: thought it was cute at first then it got very strange and intense. plot is complete mumbo jumbo but im always rooting for fire feet boy so I guess it’s good because it makes me care. also the second intro song fucks 8/10
tokyo revengers: actually a very poignant story about gang violence but also has the most nonsensical use of time travel ive ever seen in a piece of media outside of a m4rvel property but also why are they all like 12 lmao 7/10
one punch man: caped baldy my beloved 100/10

16 and 18♡
tommy wiseau voice Oh hi anto!
I actually haven’t watched that many anime (I am very selective) and most would probably fall into the mediocre category rather than worst category. I’ll try
16. 10 best animes you have watched
Mob Psycho 100 (writing? impecabble. characters? lovable. Hotel? Trivago.)
Wolf Children. (I loved it, I cried watching it)
Kaguya-sama (it’s HILARIOUS I LOVE IT)
Hataraku Saibou (it’s actually Incredibly Scientifically Accurate, so much that I actually remember stuff for my bio courses from it. Imagine writing well on a bio exam from an anime)
Noragami (ok the manga is better, but the nostalgia factor is present here)
Dr. Stone (IT’S ALSO SCIENTIFICALLY ACCURATE! I love anime based in accurate science so much)
Konosuba (also hilarious)
Bungou Stray Dogs (impeccable aesthetics. Also hot characters)
Houseki no Kuni (sad rocks in post apocalypse with lots of buddhist themes FUCK YEAH! please read the manga it’s even better)
Jojo’s bizarre adventure (Especially parts 3 and 4 due to that good Character Dynamic Potential. I find it very fun, I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to everyone though, hell no)
Saiki K (it’s FUNNY)
honorable mention: gintama (I haven’t watched a lot of it, but what I did was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. It will probably move very high up my top anime list once I watch more)
18.10 worst anime you have watched
kabaneri of the iron fortress (I was watching it during my grandpa’s last days in the hospital so I’ve inadvertly associated it with his death :( It was also getting kinda eh as it went on, but it’s mostly the bad association)
SAO (yes basic opinion, but it was lame)
Fairy tail (kind of a repetitive plot, and also I dropped it at 60 episodes cause long anime intimidate me)
Anime Asks
