Mario had nightmares of losing Luigi AND has major PTSD from what he went through trying to get his little brother back and tries to hide it but Luigi would always notice and gently encourages Mario (with some help from DK) to open up to others about it, including his friends and family.

About the Brainwashed Bros AU, does Mr. L genuinely cares about Mr. M even if he doesn’t show it often?

Oh, absolutely! He doesn't know why, but whenever he looks at Mr. M he feels bad for him, and even– dare he say– a little protective, which is weird because he doesn't feel that way about anyone.

He (wrongly) suspects there's some masterful manipulation tactics at play behind Mr. M's pathetic facade, but he can't fault a minion for being good at his craft.

No doubt the Mario’s would be terrified to see Game Luigi’s spirit just floating around over his body so casually after that while the Luigi’s either faint from fright, get impressed (93 Luigi for example) or flat out just run away or even scream in fear.

When Mario had to crash at his place, DK usually let him take the hammock since the floor is just as comfy - if not more so. At some point in the night, the idiot had twisted himself up so much he'd fallen out of the damn thing, and opening one eye to observe this happening, DK snorted before settling back into the fur of his arm.

When awoken later yet again, he's about to lose his patience and throw a nearby banana at his guest when he noticed Mario squirming like a bug on its back, face sweaty and whimpering occasionally.

Curious, DK rose and scooted over to the odd sight, head tilting to the side to get a better look.

"L-Lu!" Mario cried in a panic, reaching out as if he were trying to salvage something that slipped through his fingers.

Ah. Bad dream. DK laid his palm flat against the outstretched one for a moment as it trembled against his before he closed his fist around it and lifted ever so slightly to give Mario a little shake. "Hey! Wake up, doofus."

"Ah!?" Blue eyes blitzed open, staring at DK in awe before flicking around the room, disoriented. "DK, what's going on? We're in your room- oh yeah." Once he came to his senses, Mario relaxed into the floor as DK let him back down.

"Yeah, and if you keep waking me up, it'll be your last trip over." Attempting to sound gruff, but just managing 'sleepy', DK decides he's too pooped to pad back over to his spot by a few ficus plants and instead drops next to Mario with a huff. "Lemme know if your bad dream comes back, I'll punch it...through your face."

"Hah, sorry." Mario reached up to scratch his hair sheepishly, though a tinge of worry still remained in his gaze. "I guess I'm just not over all the...stuff - just yet. Heck, I just-" His eyes slid over to DK, shimmering like a starlit pool, though not so much bright as it was gleaming with guilt. "I get worried that this...what actually happened? Was just ... all me dreaming about what I'd hoped happened and-"

DK stayed silent, but regarded Mario with eyes the kind of brown that came when a raindrop punched the ground.

A nervous laugh later, Mario rubbed his neck. "Then I think the bad dream is what I woke up to and all along..." His voice cracked just a bit and for a moment he seems worried that he's there now, back in the 'dream' he feared was a dream.

"Hey..." DK grumbled, reaching out to slide Mario across the floor until at his side - partially smooshed against his chest as DK remained with his head propped up on his arm. "You're here. I'm here. It's OK. Shhh..." Maybe the heat radiating off his fur will convince him of that. "I'm here."

Does anyone else from their respective game franchises, like Mario, Sonic, Link, approve of Rayman and Crash’e relationship?

Although I don't know that much about these franchises in depth, I think it's safe to say all of them would be happy for their friends finding love in eachother!

Crash has always had a rivalry of sorts with "mustache man" and Sonic, but they never took things seriously beyond friendly teasing. And Rayman has had the opportunity to know Mario and Link a bit more since the crossover!

I also personally hc all these characters to be queer in some capacity, but even without those notions of their character, I don't see why they'd be anything else but supportive❤️

a good question! I think he would be sickened and disgusted with how eden treated him, and be extremely happy that ramon had finally broken free from the shackles of the regime. though lex was always against eden, I don't think he'd hold ramon's time as its poster boy against him, since he essentially had no choice. and he'd be there to support him every step of the way after he had switched sides.

Imagine if Young Link instantly become the Hero's Shade to protect his friwnds if they were in trouble, mainly Mario because of the abuse he went through in the Smash reveal trailer, like with Ridley, Steve and Sephiroth for example.

Oh that’d be cool to see.

Though I will say that Steve didn’t actually kill Mario, he just tried to block a creeper from coming over to him. The choice to ditch Mario was probably because he didn’t know whether Mario would be hostile or not.

What did you think of the BATDR trailer?

It was awesome! Definitely much different than I expected and that’s a good thing. Haha. Very curious to see what the story is all about and figure out how it ties into the original. Looking forward to the 15th. :)

I got an idea for the mission failed AU, Raph gets captured by Dregg at some point during a mission he and Mona were on and held him hostage so Mona calls Leo and Fugitoid for help and assures them Dregg didn’t blackmail her this time so they go to rescue Raph who was having a panic attack due to his fear of bugs still being a thing and the trauma he went through both on Earth and in space during the failed mission came flooding back to him and Leo was able to calm him down in his own way which, in a way, brought them closer together as brothers like they were when they were younger. Raph must’ve felt like he was to blame for Earth’s destruction since he was the one who found, tricked and trusted Zog which led the Triceratons to invade Earth and, after Leo calms him down enough to register his surroundings, apologises for what happened to Earth but Leo comforts him by saying it was in the past now and that Raph didn’t know what was going to happen and they go to Mikey’s restaurant to wind down and talk things out with Donnie, Mikey, April and Casey and finally give Raph some closure. Just an idea I had in mind. If it’s too much, I understand.

Very interesting concepts! I’ll keep those in mind!

The AU is still a work in progress so I’m still trying to figure out everyone’s lives in the AU as well as everyone’s new dynamics since the Turtles and friends basically all hate each other now.

Imagine all of the other Mario and Luigi’s reactions to the whole star gate fiasco. No doubt the Mario’s would be pushed at the gate for speaking to Game Luigi like that,

Ooohhh! The Star Gate 👀

Game Mario explains the full story to the other Marios; how he and his bro (and their baby selves) needed to get passed it, and the Star Gate refused Luigi entry until they passed its test. He also tells them how it belittled Luigi, telling him that he would "spend the rest of his days alone". All to test their brotherly bond. Needless to say, the other Marios are more than shocked.

Game Mario: He chuckles awkwardly. He admits to the other Marios that he may have gone off on the Star Gate a bit...But he couldn't help it! He couldn't stand by and let that Gate tell his brother those things. His brother is not and will never be alone. Mario will stand up for his Luigi against anything...

1993 Mario: While he's never encountered a talking gate before (a world with humans evolved from dinosaurs is strange enough), he knows that he would never let his Luigi be treated like that, no matter by who or what. He raised the kid himself - how dare they think they can judge how much he cares for him! If this Star Gate ever said anything his Luigi, he'll melt it down and use it as toilet piping.

Paper Mario: Game Mario's story hits him. He feels awkward...Ashamed...He remembers reading Luigi's diary...How his brother wrote that he wanted to go on adventures, but never got to...And then the whole fiasco with the Chaos Heart...What if his Luigi already feels alone? What if the Star Gate would be truthful this time? He needs to talk to his Luigi later...

Supershow Mario: Loudly proclaims that he and his brother are tighter than knotted spaghetti! If they can have each other's backs after getting sucked into a pipe through a bathtub, survive in another world for a long period of time, and make the conscious decision to stay in the Mushroom Kingdom (while knowing there is a risk they will never find a way back home) - they can overcome anything! No Gate needs to try and trick them to tell them that!

Movie Mario: After he hears Game Mario's story he's shaking with rage. He's more angry for Game Mario, but he can't help but feel angry for himself and his Luigi. He recalls the times that his Luigi was put down by others. How Spike dared to call Luigi an idiot before throwing a napkin at him. This Star Gate, if it ever tried to put his Luigi down, he would not stand for it! He knows that he would shut that Gate up before it even had a chance to speak! He would fight it if he needed to. He'd gladly take the wrath, anything that's thrown at him, because no one can dare to question their bond. They wouldn't even get that far if he has anything to say about it!

A virus managed to sneak into him, but considering it's been changed a bit from its original purpose, it's gone and changed his code too. It caused a full reset by accident, even of its own intent is malicious.

I had replied a similar question, and I can add that yes, they see each other like frends/sibling-like but not because they're reminiscent to their cartoon life but because they are both close to Henry.
