I gotta figure out what to do with my hair

#deity dialogue #rn I’m kinda just letting it grow out til after winter passes i think #but after that??? who knows #I don’t know if I like my hair as it is but idk what else to do with it #I could continue growing it out and see if I can get it down to my hips again like it was when I was in school #idk that could be fun for like actually styling it #cause like I’ve kinda been getting it short for the last couple of years partially out of spite #cause every time my hair gets long ppl are like ‘noooo don’t cut off your long hairs it’s so pretty’ and like this ain’t your hair #but like idk I have hair accessories I wanna use #I have so many scrunchies I keep acquiring them (granted I do wear them on my wrists)#I also have the hat pins I like to use in my hair that I can’t use in my hair when it’s short #I’m thinking of putting them in my hair for a possible upcoming outfit #my hair is like a bit past my shoulders so I can do a bit with it now #idk what the point of this post is #just me half asleep blabbing about my hair #however if someone acts possessive over my hair again I will chop it all off again #idk it’s always so annoying like as a kid I wasn’t able to grow it out and then I was and it was nice then if i considered cutting my hair #everyone protested #it was like down to my hips in high school and I very clearly recall cutting it during a lil breakdown #then it was down to my hips again a couple years later and I had already considered cutting it to be more androgynous looking #and ppl were like no no don’t do it and that made me decide to #nvm the fact that it looked so ugly like no offense to the person cutting it the hair style just. wasn’t what I wanted and didn’t look good #and I’m haunted by how I looked for that period of time #rip short lived androgynous celeste you were alright I still don’t know if I’ll ever attempt to present more androgynous again because like.#I don’t particularly dress that way and I like cute clothes but that also just means people will forever assume I’m a woman which sucks like #how about we don’t do that #okay I’m just saying too many words goodbye

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

seriously have been thinking about this all night long. call me autistic but the fact that 90% of workplaces the point is not to get your work done and then be done doing it but to instead perform an elaborate social dance in which you find something to do even when you're done doing everything you need to do in order to show your fellow workers that you, too, are Working . because you are at Work . disgusting why cant we all agree that if there is no work immediately to be done. we just dont do anything

#i personally like to not be doing things constantly at all times. it stresses me out #i know there are ppl who thrive on cosntant activity #but me i like to chill out.#and the problem then becomes that i only ACTIVELY remember to do work and Find More Work To Do when im stressed #at the thought that others might want to see me working #if im ever relaxed i just dont look for stuff to do #catch 22 of modern work culture which permeates even ostensibly noncapitalist structures like public libraries #for instance: will it really kill anybody if the books get shelved by me now after a very busy day?#or shelved tomorrow morning by. well probably me since i'll be the one at the desk #not in the slightest #but it was work that wasnt being immediately done by me. therefore it was incorrect behavior #that i failed to identify because my instinct is to relax when not immediately presented with a Situation #this got me labeled as 'having no initiative' by my dad from a very early age #and even as an adult i still feel like im a child with no initiative

god I'm so fucking furious at the removal of Te Reo Māori names from organisations around Aotearoa. it's a complete non-issue, every organisation has the English name directly underneath the Māori name. I have never once as an English speaker been unable to understand what an organisation is for. Winston Peters, the Deputy Prime Minister, who is literally Māori himself, said “Te Papa is a historic name but tell me this waka kotahi, how many boats have you seen going down the road?”. Waka does not just mean canoe. it means vessel, and waka kotahi (the transport agency of Aotearoa) explains this VERY SIMPLY on their official website. waka kotahi means to travel together as one. Can you see how fucking upsetting this is. A Māori person in power who is in agreement about banning his own language, being so cocky about something that he does not even understand due to the suppression of the language of his people. It makes me sick. I've seen reports from Māori people all over Aotearoa speaking out about how upset and furious they are, how decades of progress have been undone in the fight to restore the rights of their people who have for so long been oppressed and have suffered the effects of colonisation. Please share this if you can, I hate knowing how few people will hear about this, I know there is so much injustice in the world right now and it is so exhausting, I know. I love you all, keep it up.
