I just don't understand how you like S*l? He is actually right up there with T**g for being the worst. There is nothing good about him, sorry.
i don't understand the wild and weird hate against sol (or even remotely comparing him to tong) but here we are, anon. like if joe out right saying sol is a good person can't convince ya'll... idk why you're asking me?
anyway... you asked for my thoughts and opinions, so you shall receive.
sol is just a really interesting dude to me. he's just some guy that i think is really neat. he's a thai kpop idol and FAMOUS famous but he isn't like tong about it. he's kind and just a really good-hearted person. he's the sunny type, cheerful, caring, and loyal to his friends. like joe, sol is a sunflower in the toxic showbiz world msi is set in.
(tbh i see him and ming, who is also a fascinating character, as kind of two sides of the same "rich and famous" coin. ming is cold, aloof, calculating with walls as high as elon crust's ego is inflated. and then there is sol, open and kind-hearted. which is exactly why he and joe hit it off. funny though, ming and sol are petty but like on completely opposite ends of the petty spectrum.)
after lovingly bugging @zhouxiangs for novel spoilers i really wished the series had touched more on sol and joe's history instead of just a few throwaway lines here and there because sol's story ;3; my smol bean of a son. (and this is where media literacy and nuance comes in :D but y'all barely have any of that.)
joe and sol were very close . they ate, trained, and slept (sleeping type of slept lol) together. they did everything together. and then sol found out joe was gay (in the novel sol was also struggling with his sexuality) and then joe confessed to sol. joe liked sol first (not this weird warped reality y'all are living in where sol has been obsessing over joe). but anyway, sol was young and scared and dumb. he was afraid of being taken advantage of and also of his own feelings for joe and he ran away. joe got over it and never held it against him.
while in korea, it seemed that sol struggled to connect with people and went through some tough times as a trainee (i'm quoting from porsche's interview) and he realized his true feelings for joe so when he had the chance to return to thailand he took it and he sought out joe to reconnect. as a friend, as more.
was he supposed to have some sort of psychic link with joe that he was already seeing someone? obviously not. but when joe made it clear he liked ming, sol backed off romantically. he didn't back off as a friend though. (idk about y'all friendless gremlins but if one of my close friends was in the situationship from hell that joe was in... i'd also try and make them see reason, open their eyes. like sol once having feelings for joe does not diminish his friendship with joe. at all. (yes the scene of joe and sol in the van in ep 6 means everything to me. joe and sol were friends, brothers even. and that scene showed it.)
fyi, novel sol recognized joe too :D
ANYWAY, it was interesting to see the change in sol after joe's death. he isn't his usual cheerful self, but he's still kind and polite if a bit more reserved. and i for one love the cattiness with ming he has going on? LEAVE MING ALONE i see y'all shouting but me I WANT HIM TO PUNCH MING IN THE NUTS ONCE (if y'all can project, so can i) like ming deserves to catch a bit of shit from sol (his 'khun chai ming' sent meeee), since his and tong's bullshit directly contributed to the death of his best friend.
is sol perfect? no. (the fight with ming where joe got hurt. or the phone call scene that resulted in joe effectively being cut out of sol's life. again.) but are any of these characters perfect? absolutely not.
sol though is strangely villainized and for what? because he's trying to help and protect his friend (and is maybe being snotty with ming but... deserved tbh lol)? because he might be feeling a little righteous and fafo with the guy who took his friend away from him? because he once had feelings for joe but then redirected them into being a decent human and a good friend?

so i haven’t played twisted wonderland in ages and i recently deleted it and will likely never play it again but
Idk man here’s some twst oc rambles because
the urges.
so first of all I have an unhealthy familial attachment to Crowley. That man is my father. So instead of a yuusona like COOL NORMAL PEOPLE my twst sona is Rose Crowley, daughter of Dire Crowley
you’d think that means he’d pull some strings and let her go to nrc despite it being all boys, right?
lmao no
in fact
mans outright **forbade** her from going aaaaaanywhere near it/its students.
iirc (which I very well might not) in the beginning of the game, Crowley basically says “the students here are freaks, and the need someone to put them in their place” (the someone ofc being Yuu and not the fuckin head mage lmao I love my dad)
but nrc is like… the best magic college?? And rose thinks it’s bullshit she can’t go, not because she’s a girl, but because her dad has opinions on his students.
nah.
Rose is in Ignihyde, because it’s a form of fuckin recluses and introverts. She snuck her way in technological style, just added her name to the roster, Ortho noticing and going “huh that’s strange”, until he meets her and stop caring because “he’s” so nice to him and his big brother, so really, what’s the harm?
also, ofc, Rose has to pretend to be a boy because… all boy’s school. Thing is she puts in like 0 effort besides wearing a boy uniform. When students are like “you look feminine” she points to Lilia, and when students say “okay, but you also sound feminine” she points to Epel, and everyone goes “okay”
she really half asses it, doesn’t even bind, just wears a uniform slightly too big for her. “You look like you have boobs” **points to leona**
currently the only art of her to exist:
who I ship her with depends on my mood, because really, I ship her with everyone.
here’s her relationship with every dorm. (Some spoilers, specifically for vil ig)
Heartslabyul:
somehow ace and deuce are probably the first to find out she’s a girl. After a massive series of misfortunate misadventures, she feels close enough to them that she doesn’t even care that they know. They act weird around her after they find out, which is incredibly funny to her. Sometimes a lil annoying tho.
I like to imagine she was friends with Cater online before sneaking into the school, and it was his messages and posts that especially made her wanna attend. Not just for the academics, but for the funnies.
She loves Trey, he’s a big brother figure she’s never had.
Riddle is her lil guy (that she avoided for ages before finally befriending him)
Savanaclaw:
She’s close with Ruggie mostly because she feeds him.
Leona can somehow smell the femme on her, but he doesn’t say anything cuz he doesn’t care. Her business is her business.
Why am I imagining her playing with Jack 😭 like specifically tug of war, but will also run with him even though she is NOWHERE on his level, but she does it cuz she live laugh loves Jack and is happy to help him with his exercise, even if it’s killing her lmao
Octavinelle:
>:) I have this very specific scenario in mind where Azul figures out she’s a girl and blackmails her. Really being a girl isn’t even her biggest secret, but she’ll act like it is.
the scenario gets especially self indulgent guilty pleasure cuz I like to imagine the deal is that she pretends to be like a girlfriend for him when he’s making deals with students regarding their love lives. Like a “you too can have a babe like mine.” Idk idk.
the tweels ❤️❤️ okay who am I kidding, specifically FLOYD❤️❤️❤️❤️ (jade frightens me).
Rose, being my insert, is touch starved and autistic, and Floyd’s physical “affection” actually scratches an itch. Y’know like weighted blankets n stuff?? Her weighted blanket is Floyd. He probably found out she’s a girl through one of the hugs but shhhhh don’t tell Rosie. Floyd calls her cuddlefish (like cuttlefish) because she’s so receptive to his squeezing. Or she’d personally insist on being a harlequin shrimpy or a clownfish because… she’s me.
Scarabia:
scarabia is fun because ofc she’s besties with Kalim. But Jamil does not fucking trust her, he can basically smell that this fucker is keeping secrets, and tries to keep her away from Kalim—there can be only ONE manipulative mother fucker with Kalim!!
He has tried to “warn” Kalim away from her, but since he has zero solid dirt against her, Kalim continues to hang out with her.
Pomefiore:
she feels so bad using Epel as a scapegoat for her femininity, especially since she knows he is very unhappy with his femininity. Whenever she can, she tries to hang out with him as genuinely as possible. Ofc she wants him to understand that being feminine isn’t a bad thing, but she also doesn’t preach that to him. He’s unhappy with himself, she just wants him to be happy, whether it’s feminine or masculine.
Rook definitely knows she’s a girl, are you kidding me??? He makes hints and plays coy and Rose has bonked him on the head with his own bow at least once. She also steals his hat whenever she can. It’s like a fun game. Also of fucking course she likes to make fun of him for being French, this is me we’re talking about.
Because she is me, she empathizes hard with Vil. I really fucking relate to Vil’s backstory. I was the weird autistic kid all my life, and for most of it I was undiagnosed. Kids labeled me as weird and annoying, so to cope with that pain, I “embraced” it. Kids labeled me the villain, so I played that role. In playtime, and in theater. I am a theater kid who was typecast as a villain, then was forced to be so. So despite my twstsona being Crowley’s daughter and growing up in that world, I still have her share that with me, and therefore with Vil.
Uh that being said, she’s still very much an autistic girl, specifically one based off of me, who wasn’t raised very well, and has a lot of slobbish tendencies. But Vil is also one who can recognize what styles of correction and teaching do or do not work, and I’m sure he’d understand that I do not do well with harsh criticism, but still need a firm hand.
(I imagine Vil finds out she’s a girl one day because he offered a fuckin fashion session and Rose (again, being me) got so excited at the idea of trying new clothes that she agrees, and an outfit doesn’t properly hide the fact that she has boobs, and her Leona’s Tits excuse does not work)
Ignihyde:
I’ve already mentioned the basics, but I fuckin love Idia (character I relate to most after Vil) so here we go anyway.
This is Rosie’s dorm. She relates to Idia and helps him with her introvertedness in her own way—a way that is subtle enough mans doesn’t even realize he’s getting help. Ortho loves her and she loves Ortho. Rose would insist on like holding and carrying Ortho, thinking “he’s just a lil guy”, but im sure somehow she’d still be too weak 😭 doesn’t matter tho cuz ortho will levitate enough that Rose can still think she’s supporting his weight.
Of course, Rose being close to Ortho also gives her points with Idia.
I sometimes view friendship in terms of video games, with friendship levels that go up and down, and certain actions and interactions increase or decrease friendship. Ergo Rose does too. And I imagine she shares this with Idia and that’s just a massive bonding moment for them.
Diasomnia:
okay I’m a fucking sucker for canon yuu and Malleus relationship/interaction.
Rose’s room was literally in a tower, so close yet so far away from NRC. Yes she still studied history and stuff, but I still imagine she wouldn’t full understand Malleus or his importance. She’d probably see Malleus’ horns and call him “dragon boy” without even fully understanding the weight of her words. They’d get very close, of course, and Rose would say just the darndest things. Malleus always ends up laughing at least once whenever he hangs out with her, whether it was her intention or not.
Sebek hates her, no surprise. She tries to avoid him, they’ll just fuckin fight n argue.
I’m a chronically eepy being, so friendship with Silver is a must.
Lilia scared her at first, purely because of his voice. But they eventually became buds ofc. She calls him batdad (god forbid her real father find out)
So that’s my self insert. Super fuckin self indulgent, but I am cringe and free.

Hello! You can ignore this if the subject is too personal, but I saw you mention that you got a hysterectomy. I've been wanting to get one for awhile for a variety of reasons (no desire to have children, wanting to permanently stop periods, ect) and I was wondering if there was anything I should know about it that isn't talked about a lot?
Yeah I had one at 25 after yearssss of medical horrors. It's a lot and probably a good deal of people don't wanna read my nightmares so-
I had absolutely life ruining periods from endometriosis/PCOS, and I also never wanted children, but couldn't stay on BC to control any of those things because I found out at 21 that it was making my cholesterol sky high. I then spent a few years being truly, literally insane because I was going off and on birth control of various types every few months to try to find anything that wouldn't give me high cholesterol. Drs were like oh maybe the patches will bypass whatever weird mechanism is making this happen, maybe nuvaring, maybe progesterone only, maybe the hormonal IUD, etc etc.
I'd rather not get into what exactly led to finally getting the hysterectomy (extremely traumatic..) but I don't mind talking about the hysterectomy itself.
All I really have to say is that I have ZERO regrets and that my life has improved DRAMATICALLY since getting the hysterectomy. I had a partial so I still have ovaries, which means still having issues from PCOS, still having a hormonal cycle, still dealing with PMDD at times, etc. But given all of the issues I'd had with hormonal BC I didn't want to have my ovaries removed and need to rely on taking hormones forever when they might have caused me more problems. This is an issue very very specific to me tho.
But yeah, before the hysterectomy I used to spend 7-10 days each month-ish incapacitated by nightmare periods, and then very often end up sick (like with a cold or sinus infection or strep throat) afterwards because my body was so weakened. The only thing that had helped before was being on the kind of BC pills you take for like 3 months straight with no breaks so that you skip periods. But once I found out about the cholesterol problem, well. They just cycled me on and off a bunch of different options while doing frequent blood tests, and then in the end were like "idk guess you just have to live with it forever." Until the obgyn I'd been seeing since I was 17, who had witnessed 8 years of my suffering and already done 2 surgeries on me, was finally willing to just do a hysterectomy back in 2016.
I hear that maybe it's a bit easier these days to find a doctor willing to perform a hysterectomy, but I can't say I know much about the process. If you're on the hunt I think maybe like the childfree subreddit has a list of doctors?
If you have any kind of more specific question I guess lemme know. I'm not sure what people do or don't talk about when it comes to this stuff, but I really don't have any negatives to report, which I mainly credit to not getting a total hysterectomy (so no early menopause issues, etc).
(EDIT: just fyi anyone reading this, I've muted notifcations because while I don't mind talking about this it isn't exactly something I want popping up into my awareness every few minutes 😅 if you leave any comments or reblog tags it's totally fine, just know that I won't see them. thanks for understanding!)

sukuita is such a god tier ship thanks for putting into your words how well they work together!!
regarding the uncle thing, i find that it’s hard to consider them related lol. even with the canon explanation, it doesn’t feel like real blood relation to me?? idk. i’m a big fan of the pairing, reincarnated incest included or not.
Hi anon!
You're very welcome! I think they deserved something proper instead of just "oh their dynamic is interesting". I could go on and on about them for days because they're just so fascinating to me. I'm in too deep 😔
As for the whole uncle thing- well, yes. They are related through the "reincarnation" thing (kinda) but are they directly? They aren't. Blood doesn't tie them together. If Gege wanted a bigger shocker, he could've made Yuuji the reincarnation of Sukuna's twin brother, but instead we got Yuuji being the son of a man with Sukuna's twin brother's soul. Kinda weird. But then this man also revealed that Yuuji's mom was dead and that Kenjaku was inhabiting her body, grew pregnant with him and now because Yuuji was born because of Kenjaku, he got the entire set of death paintings as his half-brothers. It's just... a lot lol.
This is why I insist (and advocate) people don't apply real life morals or rules onto jjk because it is downright ridiculous to do so. Anyone trying to moral police someone in this fandom is automatically a clown to me. The world in that story functions completely differently to our own.
Still, most people took the relation quite literally even if it isn't. Why? Well let me put on my thinking cap and explain.
Reincarnation itself is very iffy.
In most beliefs involving reincarnation, the soul of a human being is immortal and does not disperse after the physical body has perished. Upon death, the soul merely becomes transmigrated into a newborn baby or an animal to continue its immortality.
Meaning that a soul inhabiting the body of one person who someone might've knew before as a sibling, cousin, partner, parent or friend, whatever, in a previous life can now be their lover, sibling, friend, or a mere stranger in the next. Humans are unaware of that and might never know.
The concept doesn't exactly function on our laws so yeah 🤷♀️
I guess the most accurate answer (with the theory of reincarnation applied) would be: they don't know each other precisely because Sukuna's twin brother's soul recognizes Sukuna's, but Yuuji's a whole different one. His soul could've been inhabiting a bird in the previous life (bc yes, animals also count), could've been his own mom, could've been a random girl, whoever. A soul doesn't pick or choose the vessel, it just hops into it.

Alright! Poll's over! I'm gonna be annoying about the responses now!
First thing's first: Thank you to the 247 of you that understood the assignment! Those of you that picked 'straight' will need to take remedial courses to save yourself from a failing grade.
Now I'm gonna talk tags (and the one reply):
Category 1 (Understood the assignment and went for extra credit):
Not only are yall SO correct, you were also funny about it! 10 extra points to you all!
Category 2 (There's only 10 answer options guys. . .):
This was as nuanced as I could get with the amount of options I had while still being inclusive of other sexuality options. I'm not gonna do a whole bracket for this; It was just supposed to be a funny little vague at the piratepolls person who turned out to be an asshole trying to stir the pot.
(I don't care what their intentions were or might have been. It got picked up and passed around by The Usual Suspects, the answer choices they gave were biased and had LESS nuance, and with a DRAMATIC lead on the option that's a significant point of contention in the fandom they made a 'joke' about the winning option being canon despite it only being an interpretation and a poor one at that. I'm not fighting anyone on the 'Izzy is homophobic' interpretation anymore. You're wrong. Argue with the wall.)
I thought emotional repression was implied in all of the 'sexually repressed' options, if I'm being honest. The reason I made a distinction in the 'and proud' group is because I think he can be proud of his sexuality but still be emotionally repressed but I also think there's emotional repression inherent in sexual repression.
The 'just kind of a dick' option isn't meant to imply that he's not being a dick when he's emotionally/sexually repressed, either, just that those aren't necessarily the reason for him being a dick.
Category 3 (Failed the assignment):
(There's more I disagree with from this response but this bit is the part I have an actual problem with.)
Define 'toxic masculinity'. Now do it in a way that doesn't include behaviors and attitudes that nearly everyone in the show has had at some point.
Show me David, or ANY of the cast/crew talking about toxic masculinity and calling attention to Izzy, specifically. Or to the concept of piracy which Izzy (and Ed and Fang and Ivan and Spanish Jackie and the crew of the Revenge, until Stede comes along) adheres to.
I'm not gonna argue here. I'm tired. I've got some pretty gnarly brain fog going on. I just don't want to. I just want you to think about what kind of show this would be if the main character is trying to escape to a world where Izzy's ideals (and worse, he doesn't act nearly as bad towards the crew as it's implied Benjamin Hornigold did) are the norm, but those ideals are, allegedly, inherently bad and toxic. What a show where the main love interest (and potential main character of the second season) wanted out of that life, because he was BORED of it, would imply about those supposed ideals.
The great thing about this show is that none of the characters are JUST narrative devices. They're CHARACTERS. They have an interior to them that informs their choices. We can argue til the sun comes up about why, specifically, Izzy hates Stede, but there's no way to make the reason be 'because Stede is gay' that doesn't diminish who STEDE is as a character, let alone Izzy as a queer man himself (he's queer, argue with the wall).
