so my brother died on my birthday two years ago. and for this past birthday (which was six weeks ago) my dad paid for me to go to new york city to visit some friends. i flew in yesterday and had been in the city all of 14 hours before my dad’s wife called me and said “hey, he had a massive heart attack and died a few hours ago.”
and as i was waiting at jfk for my flight back home to alabama, i received an email letting me know one of my etsy items had shipped. see, i’d bought some new bumper stickers for my subaru a few days ago.
this is the one that shipped today, apparently.

I find it funny that Wild, who has basically a couple years ish of full life experience, comes up with the most insane theories for everything
He assumed that the only other explanation to Four being able to split in Four was. That he was quadruplets who'd been hiding this whole time???
Also apparently he believed that his wolf companion Twilight in botw was a diety (and felt very uhh shocked upon finding out that he was not)
Malon made things worse, telling him about her aliens theory
What's even FUNNIER is that every time Wild expresses any sort of confusion at magic stuff that he's never seen before, everyone else in the chain acts like it's crazy for him to be weirded out by it
Honestly maybe Wild's the only one with his head on straight, rather than everyone else who are just like 'it's magic bro' like no he's right this is weird
I appreciate this because it's very considerate of the fact that he woke up with no memories not too long ago, so he doesn't have much experience to explain the stuff that's 'normal' for the chain. Plus the explanations he comes up with are funny.
:)

Shen Yuan is a streamer known as Peerless Cucumber. His main focus is an rpg called Proud Immortal Demon Way that is often critiqued as "just another waifu collector" and Peerless Cucumber gets a ton of flak for being so invested in the lore and for heavily defending the main player character, Luo Binghe. But as is the way with content creators who are overly invested in one piece of media, he has a healthy niche following. One of his longtime followers is Heavenly Pillar, a Luo Binghe role player who leaves him lots of donations, despite his pleas for people not to send him money.
Shen Yuan has a love/hate relationship with this follower. On the one hand, he's pretty terrible at roleplaying Luo Binghe. He seems to have the characterization and speech patterns down, but he'll constantly go super OOC and start flirting with Shen Yuan while still pretending to be in character. And he barely says anything about the wives Shen Yuan encounters while playing. Luo Binghe isn't gay! And he certainly wouldn't be into Shen Yuan!
On the other hand, it's nice that someone out there seems to not only like Shen Yuan's content so much, but also values him as a person, showing concern if he's playing at odd hours of the day or hasn't eaten anything in a while or just seems particularly lonely. Maybe it's borderline parasocial, maybe Shen Yuan should be focusing on making friends irl, but it's nice, you know, to have someone's attention wholly on you.
Luo Binghe is a centuries old demon lord who's traveled to nigh on hundreds of universes and donned countless personas in his neverending quest to find something to alleviate the monotony of his life. This one caught his eye a few years back when he saw some advertisements for Proud Immortal Demon Way. It's far from the first time he's come across a story about his life, but a video game is a novelty.
So he downloads it. And in his expert opinion after hours of play, the game sucks ass. Not only are the fighting mechanics unwieldy and the rewards limited, but the wife quests have incredibly contrived plot lines that repeat the same 5 tropes over and over. Sure, Luo Binghe's actual harem was oft unwieldy and annoying (it has dwindled significantly in recent years), but he doesn't recognize any of the people he remembers marrying in these 2d pixels. Even the ones that are staples of the Luo Binghe genre, like Sha Hualing, Liu Mingyan, and Ning Yingying are pale caricatures of their real life selves in his memory.
Luo Binghe decides to shelve the game, but first takes to the internet to see what others have to say about it and that's where he finds him. Shen Yuan shows his face on screen. His voice. His mannerisms. Luo Binghe has only met the "not-Shizun" Shen Qingqiu a scant number of times, briefly, in a handful of universes. And each time, he was closely guarded by another Luo Binghe. But not this one. This Shen Yuan appears to be alone, neglected, a wilting flower carrying on through energy drinks, cup noodle, and sheer determination.
Luo Binghe is going to find out where he lives. It's not a matter of if, but when. And in the meantime, he's gaining his trust and affection one stream at a time.

Do Onto Others 6.2.23
DP x DC. Danny Phantom, Clockwork, Wonder Woman. Clockwork is Kronos.
There was, very suddenly, a distinct presence in the Watchtower, filling the air with an overwhelming sense of power and death-
"Hello granddaughter."
-and everyone jumped.
A large glowing humanoid figure in a purple cloak was standing where there hadn't been anyone before, staring directly at Wonder Woman. He lifted up a smaller figure, a brightly glowing teen in a hazmat suit, by the back of the neck like a cat.
"His will is currently bound to mine through an ancient spell, and it would better if we were not around eachother while I work on breaking it." He set the boy down. "Watch him for a while."
the larger figure vanished into thin air.
Only half the presence disappeared.
The teen grinned up at them from the ground. "Hi!"
The Observants bound Clockwork to their will long ago, manipulating his Obsession to align with their nature and casting a powerful loyalty spell. They could not bind Danny the same way, but they could force Clockwork to do so. There was a distinct short-sightedness to this daisy-chain line of thinking though, especially given that Danny’s Obsession is protecting people.
His loyalty was to Clockwork, not them, and he thought his mentor would be a lot better off without the Observants hanging over him. It didn't take him very long at all break Clockwork free.
Now Clockwork just needs a bit of time to return the favor (and blow up the Observants).
So he drops Danny off with Diana for babysitting.

ive been wondering forever about when exactly levi was kidnapped and taken to the heaven lab and this bit from his new unit's board here doesnt help much but i wonder if those are just the first words he remembers learning and not the first words hes learned overall.
mainly this is all just speculation based on 2 things:
1) he ofc had some sort of childhood before the heaven lab from how old he looked at the time, plus his selfie comic art looking younger than his sprite art from ch5 (look at his little horns plus his hair's grown out)
2) he does also just say straight up that he doesn't remember his life from before the lab
i wonder if that means he had to get reacquainted with the kings all over again too. like he wouldnt recognize them at all even with how it looks like they often played together. (tho i do suspect a little that some comics might have been done before there was a more coherent story put together but thats whatever)

I'm re-entering my greek mythology phase (reading Clytemnestra) but it made me think about how greek tragedy coded Lestappen is. Are they not Achilles and Patroclus reincarnated?
Prideful young Achilles cursed with a parent who wanted their child to be the best. Patroclus' only sin being caring too much and so he becomes a martyr of a futile cause.
Max cannot escape the narrative and Charles refuses to.
