I had a dream that Phil joined another smp and we eneded up getting more q!Phil lore and now that I woke up I'm lamenting it's not real ;;;;

Bits I remember is him reaching the End with someone else through almost a glitch? Like they were leaving the nether just as a ghast tried exploding the portal and it took them theyre. But like Phil finds a message for him in there? With a green feather in it.

So he follows the message and finds a secret base in the Overworld where he runs into Chay and Lullah???? But as if theyd hatched and became proper players. And it seems fine cause it's Sunmin and Ama voicing them but Phil feels a bit wary (and theres a point where "Lullah" makes a joke in portuguese instead of spanish and Phil corrects her) so the vibes are that it's something mimicking them or straight up hallucinations.

And after he leaves we get revealed that he's still somewhat possesed by the Ender King???? As in the jerk figured out a way to do the more subtle possesion and just influencing Phil and making him forget chunks of time where he was more in control.

Also possibly fake Chayanne and Lullah ooouuuuhhhh... Consider: It IS them but that shred of Ender King is amplifying Phil's already usually easy-to-trigger paranoia. Not to mention we don't know how long after QSMP this is, the kids could have plenty of time to change and learn. It'd make sense that Lullah would want to carry on her memory of the Brazilians by learning Portuguese and even if not that, it's not unreasonable to say that During QSMP she could've picked up plenty of Portuguese things from the Brazilians themselves. It's just that Phil has never heard (or perhaps doesn't remember ;D) her making such references.

This is post-QSMP ending since you said it was a new SMP. This is post Death Family finale. As far as Phil knows, his kids are either dead, asleep forever, or hatched into crows back home in Hardcore. How could they have left there to hatch? It's too good to be true. He refuses to believe it's them (at first) because he doesn't want to get his hopes up. He doesn't want to reopen that wound, it's not even closed yet in the first place!

AND THE SPICE OF HIM STILL BEING PARTIALLY POSSESSED. THE KIDS NOT KNOWING YET AND HAVING TO REALIZE IN REAL TIME AND HAVE THE HORROR DAWN ON THEM. AUGH. Like when they see him for the first time, it's SO CLEAR he's doing TERRIBLE and not even just because of the partial possession.

He hasn't been readjusting well to being alone in Hardcore again. He's disheveled, he clearly hasn't been sleeping well, he's closed off, standoffish, a little cold. Not the warm, chill, smiley father still fresh in their minds. He's resistant to making new friendships on this new SMP because he hasn't overcome the pain of saying goodbye in QSMP and is he Hyperaware that eventually he'll have to say goodbye again here and he Does Not Want To. He is just Not doing well mentally and you can physically see it when you look at him.

The fucking spice of the kids not being around to be vigilant and catch that shred of EK sooner, the fact that Phil's been in such a bad state that EK has just been free to fester inside him. And you KNOW the kids would blame themselves for not being around to be vigilant.

Phil doesn't know EK is still hiding in his body yet, he doesn't Know what's festering inside of him, and it's actually hard to say if he'd do anything about it if he Did know because he's so depressed and hurt, he's still grieving. After all, in canon, Phil was very upfront with the kids post-possession that if anything ever happened to them again, he'd give up and just let EK take him.

But I bet you Chayanne and Lullah would remember him saying that as soon as they clock that there's a shred of EK lurking in their dad. And they'd be TERRIFIED that it's on the verge of becoming a reality.

i think hes a good cook. i like the thought of him teaching ceroba how to cook, too (she almost set the kitchen on fire, they yelled about it in fear, had a couple drinks, then almost set the kitchen on fire again and yelled abt it). he also is the one cooking for the rest of the feisty five more often than not (they others are mostly ok at cooking tho. ed's really good, but struggles sometimes bc his hands are too big to be able to properly use certain utensils and appliances. moray is also a pretty good cook and help ed out a lot. they make a great team. ace is alright, can definitely follow a recipe, and is really good abt finding ones the rest really like. mooch.. mooch wouldnt go hungry if she lived alone. but shes generally not allowed to cook. has a no-bake dessert everyone loves though, she makes it on holidays and special occasions and to bribe the others)

this isnt my hc but i dont remember who i first heard it from but i loooove the hc that star glows when hes flustered. i think when he first started crushing on ceroba and theyd have sleepovers, hed just start glowing at times and shed throw pillows at his face telling him to stop bc she couldnt sleep

on that note, consider the bunk bed in his room. him and orion definitely shared. and orion definitely dreaded ceroba sleeping over bc her and star would share a bed and stay up late joking around and playing and talking and whatnot and hed often have to get up and just leave to go sleep on the couch or with their parents. they got into arguments about this.

in the case of clover lives/dadlo, hes the last one to know that clover thinks of him as a father figure. everyone else knows, either through observation or clover accidentally calling him dad in front of them or them just admitting they think of him as their dad. star probably learns of this via ceroba or dina or one of the five or someone telling him "you know clover thinks of you as a father figure, right?" and he bluescreens about it

im not like. the biggest corn yaoi shipper ever, but i think its cute (and the name makes me laugh), and i think dalv confesses first. theyre in some fancy restaurant or something and star asks "so, what'd you call me here for?" and to that dalv responds by just blurting out that he thinks hes in love with him. and star immediately chokes on his food bad enough he needs medical attention.

so ceroba mentions in-game that living w the feisty five is a bit of a nightmare bc of the sleeping and the fact that everyone has some kinda problem that specifically makes it hard for her to fall asleep. i think star is actually pretty normal in terms of sleep. might snore lightly if hes in an uncomortable position, but overall just quiet. the rest of the five dont fare so well. ed's got it best, he just snores. loudly, but everyone other than ceroba is just kinda fine w it. moray grinds their teeth and needs to be restrained or theyll end up halfway across the room from where they fell asleep. or farther. ace sleepwalks and talks. ceroba once woke up to him eating the berries off the plant on the dresser by her bed. still asleep. mooch also grinds her teeth and "sleep steals", aka waits for everyone else to fall asleep so she can go through their stuff. star, despite being able to sleep through everything else, somehow has a 6th sense for her or something, because he very consistently wakes up to catch her red-handed and chew her out

okayokay actually i did come up with something as soon as i added that cut. so i like to think that zooble likes to customize their looks and swap out their parts to make a new vibe whenever they feel like it. but obviously since theyre blind they cant really see what colors or patterns the piece has, can only really feel the shapes. so imagine helping them make a new look... i think that could be a cute bonding moment between the two of you, simply two friends helping build an outfit together, you know?

of course, zooble tends to rely on you for being guided around so they dont get lost or put themselves into danger... which makes it all the better that theyre close with you since i personally think that zooble likes to be alone/not be around many people you know :0?

i think outside of those two things, you guys would have a normal friendship, youre probably the only person allowed in their room and they like spending their time with you rather than with anyone else. not to say that zooble is attached to you by the hip, they do like their personal time doing whatever it is that zooble does... thinks...

more impromptu personal talk (about my dad)

i really dont know what to do about reconnecting with my dad because i know i should since he hasnt done anything to me (since we dont live together anymore. he was drunk and confusing and angry and like... pathetic? in a way i couldn't deal with when we did) but like. i dont want to. hes sober now and i know we can have interesting conversations (i used to be upset that hes self absorbed but idc about that anymore since i dont feel the need to connect to him emotionally anyway). but. i guess when i think about him its still the unpleasant associations and some are more present than i really give myself credit for

first before he went sober like last year id get invited on these ski trips with him and my brother and theyd both fucking argue the whole time and then get drunk and argue worse. there were also several incidents of drunk venting to me where he tells me how im like the one person he trusts or something and idk hes vented to me since i was like a teenager to me i honestly dont want to hear about how he wants to kill himself i dont know what to do about that. leave me alone

i honestly did kind of see him as somebody who bribed me with like. paying for trips and organizing outings and stuff in order to have me see him (it was well within his means to pay for my student debt when i was in college but he cut me off at the time so he could idk go sailing and build a new patio. fuck you man.) but now since hes decided to be fully selfish and cutting off my brother financially too so he could have like a minimum wage job hes not really willing to pay for or organize anything (though he was weirdly hesitant about it for a while before that too, his weirdness about money is a big reason i dont like him and our relationship was bad). i havent decided if i can really blame him for quitting his well paying job though since its what allowed him to go sober and take care of his health and not work a job that seems stressful and horrible

also... i guess his desire for me to reach out and organize things despite him being the dad also bothers me in some type of like petulant psychological mind games way. like he loves to lie and say he doesnt care about drifting apart and that hes not upset (and that he respects/accepts me. i dont believe him with that either because he lies to himself and then it all comes out at once.) but then he bitches to other people about how he wants me to reach out to him more and eyhyhgghh idk

kasey is not very much like me at all, but she's definetly cut from a similar cloth. weird, clumsy outcast kid. shes someone i would've loved to be friends with, and a lot of the characters that inspired her (mabel pines and star butterfly, most notably) were girls who i wanted to be so bad. unapologetically weird but still outgoing and friendly. if idve gone to high school with her idve wanted to be her best friend

aja is just like me for real for real, but at this point i try to treat her more as a time capsule of the me that i was when i made her with little changes here and there, so shes very much "a character i would have gone crazy over at 15" because well when i made her at 15 i DID go crazy over her. i have like six sketchbooks from a two year stretch where she was ALL i would draw its only aja in there. i do think id get along with her although if you put me in a room alone w her we're [redacted] so hard the [bleep]

hutch i also think is a lot like me, but definetly the kind of person i try to be more nowadays. again a lot of the characters they take influence from (greg universe, jake the dog, and other assorted "slightly deadbeat but extremely loving and kind father figure" character archetypes) are things i modled myself after for a lot of my teenagehood and i like to use them to emphasize the mellow and low-key and chill and unbothered nature i strive for but never seem able to actually pull off, as well as a lot of the insecurities that make that persona kind of difficult to maintain namely a lot of anxieties and poor self-perception. again i think we'd get along great, theyre a kind of person i find extremely warm and comfortable to be around.

victor. well i try not to be like victor but idk. reclusive and forgetful of the world around him and abrasive and also consumed by the Rot. my rot is not so literal but dont tell my ocd that. i would like to be smartbrained like him but i never seem to achieve it. i do think we could theoretically get along but i also think he'd bring out the worst in me #meancunts

nishka is a very specific kind of agonies which is ambiguously "fragile" child is simultaneously sheltered and neglected while craving the cool and interesting things shes not allowed to do. shes like. my childhood power fantasy of running away from my dad and going somewhere where theyd let me take karate and join a roller derby team and ecetera. so yeah we do have that in common although i think shes genuinely a lot cooler than i ever was or will be. whenever i bemoan not having a particular active hobby i just slap it on her as wish fulfillment. this is why shes a skateboarder.

ummmm arkangel. i definetly relate to her need for control i was the kid who was so bad at playing that i had to play alone and pretend to be 3 different people taking turns so everyone did exactly what i wanted. so i understand her need to just pick.people up and move them so they do exactly what she wants them to do exactly how she wants them to do it. i try not to indulge in this craving very often i think it makes me seem unpleasant but this is why im such a shit roleplayer 😔 i would.not like her very much i hate the way she wants things done and i would like to do it my way instead.

kinda sad about doctor who because its such an episodic show thats meant to go on forever with endless stories but they always centered around the doctor

but the issue with an episodic show centered around the same character(s) is that they cant develop too drastically or else there just isnt a point in them being there anymore if that makes sense. theyd grow stagnant if they hadnt already

sure, they basically reinvent and change the doctor every time they regenerate, but then it all resets. they become a new person, and often dont even acknowledge their past unless its a serious moment where its relevant, or if theyre fighting the daleks or cybermen for the 50000th time. dont get me started on them lol

its a good show of course, but idk. theres a few reasons i drifted off from it, but thats a big one. episodic shows like that are just hard to stick with, especially long ones, and especially ones where people dont even stick around very long.

heres the list of the students ill doing!!

i had this idea since like new yrs, lol. i wanted to make it seem like an event in the actual game or sumn and other brainstorming later i decided to go w gb!nrc students in valentines day attires (or sumn IDK)

the plot begins w the cliche of falling in love in disney movies, and each yr 8-10 students r chosen to act like the little "cupids" of the school for valentines day. they run around for like a week before valentines day to make students that theyre assigned w court their crush or sumn like that. afterwards, if theyre successful, they move on to the next.

cupids mustnt let anyone know that theyre a cupid, otherwise theyd be automatically disqualified. 2 weeks before the actual thing, they have to get to know the targets crush to figure out how to matchmake the two.

there r many ways for courtship to occur. in aces drawing, she uses the classic bow and arrow (minus the arrow, shes still stretching her bow) made out of conjured magic.

for idia and orthos case, since theyre considered "one student", they get to work together. idia finds information abt the target and their potential love interest and ortho helps out by helping out the target for courtship to happen. (ex. she gives them flowers and chocolate and suggests giving it to them, arranges a romantic dinner for the two, stuff like that)

the given attire is a corset, a given headset to give any updates on matchmaking, a short long-sleeve, and a shiny dress. when the attire is worn, it camouflages the cupid, allowing them to roam around and observe whether theres any matchmaking progress or not.

anddd thats p much it for now!! i dont wanna overthink this too much cuz if i do i might figure out that this whole thing is a bad idea and jus scrap it altogether 😭

and orthos took 6 and a half hrs (oof) 3 HRS ALONE JUST TO GET THE LINEART RIGHT (MECHA IS SO HARD TO DO RAHHH) the piece consists of 53 layers, which is almost identical to idias!

made the effort of keeping the ability to speak to cats alive within their clan, seemingly specifically to give their enemies the opportunity to leave peacefully

their hatred is completely justified??? cats actively hunt and EAT rats. imagine how an animal that actively hunted cats would be treated in the forest. oh wait, we already know. the cats dont even bother to learn the language of their predators unlike the rats, zero warning from a warrior patrol you just get violently evicted from an entire area

warrior clans view them as just brainless prey, with no consideration for creatures that are evidently intelligent enough to learn to speak their language, organise, reason, and care for their own. the rats treat the cats as equals, enemies yes, but EQUALS whereas the cats treat them with scorn

even when the rats finally made their move and attacked a patrol, they let only severely injured ONE cat, and allowed the others to take their clanmate and flee, rather than hunting them down or killing them when they had the chance

allowed the second patrol to leave without a scratch despite how the patrol threatened them

literally, their leader CAME OUT AND SPOKE TO THEM. THIS RAT IS THE RESULT OF GENERATIONS UPON GENERATIONS OF RATS PASSING DOWN THIS INCREDIBLY RARE AND SPECIALISED ABILITY SPECIFICALLY TO COMMUNICATE WITH CREATURES WHO ONLY VIEWED THEM AS PREY TO GIVE THEM FAIR WARNING RATHER THAN JUST WIPE THEM OUT

i havent gotten that far yet but if i recall it was the CATS who invaded the rat camp (in the modern day). they INVADED the rat clan's home and killed the leader, presumably ending a line of rats who knew how to speak to them that went back god only knows how long.

none of skyclan tried to communicate or negotiate with the rats. based on how lenient the rats were, it could have been possible that they might have agreed to leave skyclan alone of skyclan promised to avoid their territory and never hunt the rats. not saying it would have panned out like that if theyd tried but they DIDNT even TRY to talk first

we dont know much about how the first skyclan rat battle went, but we do know there were many survivors, im pretty sure that included kits and elders though i may be wrong. the rats didnt try to hunt down the survivors either, or the rogues and kittypets who continued to live in the area

how plausible is it that the feud started when skyclan hunted rats in their own territory? how plausible is it that the rats tried to speak to them first and convince them to leave or at least avoid their territory? how plausible is it that skyclan responded by invading the rats home and trying to kill their leader like modern skyclan did?

how many generations do you think were living in that barn before skyclan came along? theyd been there long enough to have an organised fighting force by the time skyclan rolled up

the cats never considered that the rats were thinking feeling beings with their own culture, community, families, young, elders, territory, and thoughts. they only ever openly saw them as prey, and took offence to the very IDEA that the rats might be enough like them to speak or pose a threat

slams fists on table rattling any dishes on the table au where schlatt doesnt die of a heartattack and tubbo locks him up to rot basically and his horns grow into his eyes effectively blinding him and chained his hands together and basically a leash on him to keep him from moving around in his cell so he cant do anything to break the horns off before they get too long and one day when technos breaking into lmanberg he gets chased into the prison and loses them in the halls before coming across schlatts cell and schlatts calling out like 'whos there i can hear ur foot steps whos there please someone whos there' etc yk and technos speechless they thought they executed him to keep him from causing any more problems in the country but this is this is just much worse than anything he even thought theyd do and hes standing in front of schlatts cell just looking at him as if hes imagining it he knew lmanberg was bad but holy fuck they just let this man rot in a cell to the point of his own horns blinding him and giving him no aid or way to ease the pain so he makes himself known and schlatt 'ive never been so happy to see, well, hear an anarchist in my life, its good to see- hear you technoblade' and chuckles and blood runs down his face like tears would, few drops landing on his clothes before techno starts trying to get into the cell to take him out of there he cant leave him here sure he was an anarchist terrorist w a murder record but he had standards and now that schlatt wasnt in power he had nothing against him really considering he isnt a citizen of lmanberg so he manages to pick the locks enough to get him out of there, schlatts arm slung over technos shoulder they stumble out of the prison building and as they slowly make their way to the nether portal to get back to technos base, they run into tubbo and quackity, schlatts old right hand men and they try to stop techno bc hes well an anarchist terrorist w a murder record but the glare techno gives them levels them and theyre left staring at each other for a moment when schlatt 'whyre we stopped whos there tech' and techno mumbles 'tubbo and quackity schlatt' and schlatt just furrows his brows as far as he can without sending excruciating pain into his eye sockets before he purses his lips and asks 'are they going to try and stop us?' techno looks back at the other two 'no they wont, isnt that right boys?' tubbo and quackity slink away allowing techno and schlatt to the portal and them going thru, schlatt still silent as he tries not to trip over technos cape or off the ledge of the bridge passing over the lava lakes, they make it to the portal and begin the walk across the arctic tundra to technos house, philza isnt there right now so its just the two of them and techno leads him up the ladder to his room (its not really a room i think its just a bed, a bell and an enchantment table) and sits him down on his bed mumbling something abt being right back and he is with some medical supplies and a change of clothes to clean everything up, they dont talk techno works in silence and when schlatt winces he mumbles a small apology before continuing eventually techno got schlatt as cleaned up as you can get someone w horns in their eyes and a sweater to keep him warm and finally starts asking questions 'how long had u been in there' 'lost count' 'did they bring you food' 'a chests worth at the beginning of the month' techno sighs 'i thought they executed you' 'tubbo chickened out despite me being 'an active threat to our peace in lmanberg' and locked me up a few days after u set the withers loose and dropped off a chest of food once a month and most of them refused to talk to me others couldnt even make eye contact with me, other than the few instances where they said things like 'heres ur food' or 'u deserve this' or 'i cant believe tubbo let u live' i talked to no one other than myself for however long i was in there' techno stands and walks around for a moment before flipping some pages and schlatt can hear him gasp quietly in mild surprise 'what is it tech' looking in the direction he heard techno from and techno says, turning to face schlatt on his bed 'schlatt that was almost 3 months ago' a single beat of silence rings for what feels like forever 'oh. i, i didnt think itd been that long. though it would explain my current predicament' loosely gesturing towards his face 'oh right abt that i have a few questions if ur ready to answer some' schlatt hums and techno grabs a pen and paper and sits next to him in case he needs to take any notes for future reference 'how fast do ur horns normally grow' 'idk just a steady amount my whole life pretty much' 'will they ever stop growing' 'they generally stop growing around 30 and continue to grow more in width than length' 'did anyone who brought u food notice' 'they grow quickly and by the time the person w the third chest came around they were getting close to my eyes but they didnt listen to me, no one did' he sighs looking down at would be his hands 'the odds of both of my horns growing into my eyes and blinding me like this are so low but of course it would happen to me' a chuckle void of any amusement 'because losing my country and my people and my power wasnt enough already' techno stands up 'you had that coming' schlatt actually laughs this time, short and curt 'ok fair, u were the one that took me down afterall' and from then on schlatt lives w techno and phil and eventually tommy and then without tommy (tommy was Not happy when he found out that schlatt was living with techno but he needed somewhere to stay too and techno happens to live in an arctic tundra where only a handful of people know how to get to so he didnt complain too much) and eventually techno saws off schlatts horns at the bend adn removes them from his eyes bc if they kept growing into his head theyd hit his brain and kill him on top of blinding  him and techno gags and almost throws up despite not being sensitive to gore  and gives schlatt a bandanna to cover the holes in his head for everyones sake and once they heal somewhat he can find something else out and thats how they live, schlatt helps with what he can like farming w phil but mostly spends his time learning braille or something so he can read and techno gets him books in braille so he isnt bored or alone like he was in the prison and he feeds him and takes care of him and schlatt is funny and entertaining despite being blinded by something from his own body and the torture it was like to rot in a cell alone for almost a 1/4 of a year and nights when techno gets home late and hes shaken and the voices are bad schlatt will sit behind him and play with his hair and talk abt his own day and rub technos back and in return when schlatt relapses and gets violent and angry techno will wash his hair and read him stories until he calms down and hopefully asleep and no one told him the news that wilbur died so when ghostbur shows up and starts talking to him he treats him the same as he would wilbur bc he cant see that hes a ghost all thats different is his speech pattern and overall personality and one day he says 'ur different wilbur what happened to that, i dunno spark u used to have' and wilbur simply 'im not sure if im being honest a lot abt me has changed since i died, or so im told i dont remember much from when i was alive' and schlatt just 0_0 and then hes scrambling down the ladder and stumbling around the house looking for techno, finding him in the basement working on something and when he gets there hes out of breath and his hands are shaking bc holy shit wilburs not only dead but a ghost and he was just talking to me and he doesnt remember what i did and and and and techno is shocked to see schlatt in the basement and asks whats up and schlatt just 'wilbur died wilbur fucking died tech why didnt anyone tell him and now hes a ghost hes a fucking ghost who lives in ur house and doesnt remember anything he doesnt remember that he blew up lmanberg does he he remembers my name but not anything that i did what hes a fucking ghost techno hes a ghost holy fuck' and technos just standing there like ??? no one no one told him 'yea philza had to kill him after he blew up lmanberg i thought u knew thats why i didnt say anything' oh. 'phil, phil had to kill him?' 'yea its a touchy subject, dont bring it up' and simply goes back to what he was working on so schlatt sits on the ground by the ladder and listens to him work his brain going a mile a minute trying to comprehend whats going on 'would i have become a ghost if theyd chosen to execute me?' 'its hard to say im unsure if theres specific circumstances that contribuite to someone becoming a ghost but theres really no telling' and goes back to working yet again and from then on they fall into an easy schedule of techno going out and doing whatever an anarchist terrorist w a murder record does on ur average wednesday and schlatt stays home reading and organizing whatever he can based on size and feeling and sleeping in windowsills and schlatt greeting techno comes home beaten up and full of new resources and a side of bruises and cuts so he tends to them, getting better at maneuvering and functioning without needing to see then techno making dinner and then curling up by the fire for the night enjoying each others company as they talk abt their days :]

Like i feel its interesting to come back to soukoku from this angle. With dabihawks we both like hawks more but with soukoku im a chuuya fan and you are a dazai fan so we both prioritize the other person but its fun to talk to you about them because even tho you like dazai more you dont act like chuuya is just an add on (gbhhg i hope i left a similar impression)

Like u see the state of soukoku fics rn n u get how it was at it height and how boring that got. The rest of the fandom prioritized dazai and they always seemed to go out of their way to romanticize everything the two did without acknowledging they both have isuess theyd need to work through for a healthy reletionship. Like it never got as bad as dabihawks cuz neither of them are bad to each other like dabi is bad to hawks but you get the picture.

Like i remember the exact moment i stopped shipping soukoku cuz it was after soukoku vs lovecraft episode n i watched chuuya activate corruption for the first time (i read the manga before this so i saw the bloody corruption before aesthetic corruption so another factor might be that it left a way bigger impact on me), n chuuya basically destroying himself inside out n then them having a little moment n chuuya being like 'aight i trust you to get me out of here' and dazai being like 'you got it partner'

N then we cut to chuuya in the middle of that fucking field all alone with no indication of has dazai called for help just a 'haha i left him because its funny'

N ngl i was plenty mad with dazai being so neglectful and dismissive of chuuyas needs when he knows that corruption literally kills him inside out if not stopped but that doesnt compere to my anger when i got on tumblr and every single post was focusing on how dazai folded chuuyas coat n put his hat there and how sweet and romantic that was and how much dazai cared for chuuya

You know completely ignoring he left him in the middle of nowhere with god knows what kind of injuries after chuuya explicitly trusted him to get him to safety, knowing he would faint n putting his trust in dazai

I was just pissed, like these two had a fun dynamic n i liked them together but the fandom was so focused on thirsting after dazai and making chuuya this tsundere love intrest that they werent willing to talk about obvious issues these two have not even as much as 'hey that was kind of a shitty thing for dazai to do'

Idk soukoku fandom left such a sour taste in my mouth, its just fun to talk about them with someone who doesnt do that

This is actually pretty interesting because I’ve had a different experience with fanfiction I’ve read where people will prioritize Chuuya’s feelings over Dazai’s (I especially get annoyed when people make Dazai’s defection from the Port Mafia solely Chuuya angst). I wonder if that’s become a recent trend then as you said it used to be the other way around (...This fandom can’t do things in halves, huh).

As I said above, a common trend that really annoys me about Soukoku fics that talk about Dazai’s defection is that it’s always Chuuya going “You betrayed and left me!” without Chuuya ever asking why or Dazai having the proper chance to explain himself. I can understand the draw of “Dazai broke Chuuya’s heart by leaving him behind” but people make it out like the issue was Dazai leaving in the first place which I think is pretty inconsiderate of Dazai’s own feelings. 

I just want a balance where Chuuya asks why Dazai left, Dazai get’s a chance to explain himself and then maybe Chuuya asks why he didn’t ask him to go with him (if they were close in this fic) with Dazai questioning Chuuya’s loyalty to him and the Port Mafia. It would be a really good way to highlight Soukoku’s issues with communication of personal feelings and it’s just... not done.

Also, as I said in my previous ask, I can understand why you would be annoyed with Dazai’s actions in the Lovecraft episode and how the fandom made the action of him folding his coat into something cute and romantic while dismissing the fact that Dazai broke his promise.

And while I can’t and won’t defend Dazai for such actions as it was a dick move, I actually think that was his point. Dazai intentionally broke Chuuya’s trust in order to push him away (or at least he did in my opinion). We’ve already discussed how Soukoku has an issue with communication of their personal feelings and I think the Lovecraft episode is a great example of that. If I had to make a guess, I’d wager that Dazai was scared of the trust that Chuuya gave him again, he was probably also scared about how working alongside Chuuya again would bring out his old self: thoughts, feelings, and the like and how that would affect his promise to Odasaku. Dazai has done everything to distance himself from the mafia and now he’s being drawn back in and there’s nothing he can do to stop it.

I think that’s also why he brings up the fact that he set a bomb under Chuuya’s car and constantly jabs and insults him, as well as stealing from him even though we know all he had to do was ask, was because it’s all an attempt to push Chuuya away and thus, push the mafia away too.

This is also why I would love to explore Chuuya more independantly because I want to know how he feels about all of this. It must hurt to be treated this way, especially with someone you trusted. And what probably hurts him even more is the knowledge that Dazai can’t trust him (which is a major issue in their relationship that needs to be adressed).

When it comes to fanfiction, Chuuya definitely deserves better and he definitely needs to sit Dazai down and get him to talk (and maybe get him to talk about his goddamn trauma too because that’s what causing this divide between them) and then Chuuya should be allowed to speak about him. In a sense, Dazai is treating him like a pet dog that he can throw away and is dismissing Chuuya’s own feelings and I just want to see people actually adress that. Dazai is allowed to have his trauma without making Chuuya a doormat for him (or a therapist).

It’s pretty tragic really because Chuuya is probably one of the most loyal characters in the manga/anime and is the one that wears his heart on his sleeve the whole time and yet Dazai still can’t bring himself to trust him just because he refuses to talk to him.

...Basically, they need couples counselling.

small idea, uhh, idk edition: whenever steven wants to/needs to be away from the gems for a bit, the maheswarans let him sleep over for as long as he needs. it took a while for him to agree when they first offered, but he eventually agreed. he would take the couch, but connie would regularly sneak down at night so he wouldnt have to be alone. priyanka has woken up to find the two asleep cuddling on the couch more than once, but finds that she doesnt really mind
