OOOOOH WHERE TO START,,, im assuming you just mean dn so I'll stick with that. in no particular order:

time speaks--okay so I know I just said no particular order but this one doesn't count. this is quite literally The Best fanfic I have ever read. its insanely long but genuinely worth every minute. within the first few chapters alone I had to get up and pace the room multiple times because its so absurdly well-written. im not even gonna try to describe it because I won't be able to do it justice.

twist your arctic heart--we love scenarios where light thinks hes in control but feels even more vulnerable in the aftermath. a classic yotsuba arc wet dream fic with some extremely well done characterization.

a tithe to hell--imo this would be The dn fic if time speaks didnt exist. PERFECT characterization, light going increasingly crazy, and a happy ending on top of all of it.

one last try before the core's collapse--angsty lawlight time loop fic. my weakness.

self surgery--mildly ooc sadomasochism pwp with some fantastic psychological overtones. also lawlight gunplay.

perfect life--this is THE psychological torture lawlight fic. its SOOOO good I cannot recommend this one enough. I fucking love innocent teenager light yagami and creepy sadistic L.

heat stroke--wouldnt be surprised if you've already read this, seeing as it's one of quinn's works, but its still one of my favs. L breaks the air conditioner on purpose to see how long it will take light to snap.

wired--my favorite surveillance era voyeurism fic. light thinks he has the upper hand but ends up feeling miserable.

this is how i disappear--quite possibly the most painful fanfic I have ever read. light's on the death row and man. it fucking hurts. I cannot recommend this one enough.

lie cold, consent--part of my own personal niamero canon; 14 year old mello assaults 12 year old near out of jealousy and resentment. INSANELY well-written erotic horror.

not death note, but I desperately want to share a fic that is a huge inspiration for the elementary/high school au, to meet again. this is a superb wangxian (wei wuxian x lan wanji, MDZS) modern au/reincarnation fic where lan wanji grooms wei wuxian, and the prose are just absolutely amazing. tbh no knowledge of MDZS needed to read the fic and completely understand it, so if you want a little inside info on what I reread to write playtime's over, definitely give it a read.

this was VERY long and honestly there are so many more fics that I could recommend, but these are just the top ones. I hope you enjoy and would love to hear your thoughts on any of them!!

This theory won't do well, but meh

It's a pretty 'small' theory I guess? But it has to do with timeline things, specifically with the death of Doll's family

...this is gonna be a case of 'hear me out', isn't it...

So, what if the death of Doll's father takes place during the pilot?

Now, listen to me here

Yeva likely died when she was younger, and that left her with her father all the way until the pilot. He dies just before the fight at the end of the episode.

He and Doll were likely getting to the hideout area when V caught them. Doll was able to hide but her dad wasn't lucky, snapping a photo of V to try and blind her right before dying.

The Pilot is where Doll's solver activates, right alongside Uzi, which connects them even more.

This explains why Doll seems much more talkative and popular and happy during school that day, compared to how we see her for the rest of the show. She was living with her dad, having a happy life, right up until her father died.

Now, what gives me this thought?

The red lighting of the memory that Doll shows V.

Yeah, it might just be the fact that its coming from Doll's memories and Doll's system color is red... but what if its red because of the alarm lights? Painting every thing in that nice red color?

This connects Doll and Uzi so well!!

Their solvers being activated on the same day Living with their fathers for most of their lives Losing their mothers at a young age

This also provides more reason to why Doll acted the way she did.

Anyways, yeah, im done blabbering

Ahh! You're so sweet! Yeah it wasn't easy but it was either stay there and rot or move on and try to breathe and actually live! Sammys vet bill is stressing me out and the job market sucks up here but I have just enough for rent, I'll just have to look for some other outlets to cover his bill and see how much getting his shots and getting him chipped would cost. Hopefully soon I can find something that isn't just minimum wage, im praying for pharm tech but ill take anything if they get back with me.

Its very...relaxed up here compared to my old place. Dont get me wrong I'm still sick and stressed but, its like a bitter sweet stress? Like I know once its done Ill feel at home and complete? Its odd but im happy :3 I actually have help up here and can express my boundaries and such. I never ever thought I'd make it out of that place!

#This drawing is kind of personal to me #I recently graduated (CUM LAUDE WOOOO!!!!) and its like. not to get depressing #but when i was younger i was never sure whether i would make it to this point #When i was going through what i consider to still be like. the worst time of my entire life #This fictional character was there for me and she was something for me to latch onto and cope with #eGem helped me a lot with being able to process my emotions at the time but also helped me to reflect on myself #which i think is a big reason as to why I'm really happy with where i am with myself right now #I'm going off to uni next school year to study astronomy!!! which!!!#Im also doing because of eGem!!!
