today's semantic error thoughts: one day sangwoo and jaeyoung go to the park and they're just walking around talking with the coffee they stopped to get when a little kid comes running up to them crying. sangwoo immediately gets down on one knee to talk to them at their level and jaeyoung is surprised at just how good sangwoo is with the kid.

the kid can't find his mom and he's scared and jaeyoung just watches as sangwoo gently wipes the tears from the boy's eyes and calms him down by being logical and explaining exactly what they're going to do to find his eomma.

once the kid is calm, sangwoo stands up and the boy immediately reaches for his hand and sangwoo doesn't hesitate or seem uncomfortable at all letting the little boy hold his hand as they start looking for her.

sangwoo asks a steady stream of questions that are a mix of practical and distraction-- what was your mom wearing? your shirt has batman on it, is that your favorite superhero?-- and jaeyoung just watches the scene in front of him feeling like his heart is about to burst from the onslaught of love and pride right now.

eventually the boy looks back at jaeyoung and tugs on Sangwoo's hand to ask who the ahjussi is. while Jaeyoung splutters-- aish, this kid, he's a hyung-- sangwoo just says that's Jang Jaeyoung and he's my boyfriend. the kid just nods and says "your boyfriend is too tall."

sangwoo swings their hands a little and looks down at the kid, nodding with a frown. "you're right, huh? he really is too tall-- what is he trying to be, a giraffe?" and the kid laughs while Jaeyoung's mouth drops open in affront.

finally, the mom comes racing over-- the office called and she turned away to answer for one minute-- and she profusely thanks sangwoo and jaeyoung. the kid goes to his mom and hugs her and sangwoo and jaeyoung turn to continue their walk.

they make it a few yards before the sound of running feet grabs their attention. they turn around just in time for the little boy to barrel into Sangwoo's legs, hugging them tight. as soon as he can, sangwoo crouches down so they're at eye level.

his face is serious for a moment before jaeyoung watches a smile softens his features. sangwoo straightens up the boy's jacket as he tells him to be more aware of his surroundings and his caretaker in the future.

the little boy nods seriously before leaning in again to wrap his arms around Sangwoo's neck. "thank you hyung," the boy whispers.

sangwoo returns the hug for a moment before releasing the kid and telling him to get back to his eomma.

when sangwoo stands up again, jaeyoung slings an arm over his shoulders and pulls him to his side, kissing the top of his head.

their conversation shifts to sangwoo being good with kids and jaeyoung attentively listens as sangwoo explains kids are easy because their motives are pure and they don't hide what they're feeling. they talk about the possibility of their own kids some time in the future and both feel content knowing they're on the same page.

later that night, though, when sangwoo asks jaeyoung to get something from the top cupboard, he rolls his eyes as his boyfriend crosses his arms and says, "good thing you're dating a giraffe after all, hm?"

What it's like to date Cole Brookstone

The dragons rising trailer gave me Cole fever 😭😭 so yk I just gotta do a Cole post to appreciate this lego man's existence

Starting off strong: texting. The guy will spam you if you don't answer within 5 minutes

He's always worrying if something bad had happened to you 😭

He's also a ninja (obviously) so he's gonna be busy most of the time

But Cole did agree, you reminded him a little of his mother

In truth, Lou sees himself and Lily in you and Cole

Although he denies it, Cole loves it when you trace his scars

Especially the ghost scar on his forehead

Also loves it when you trace his jaw

Whenever you randomly do, I promise this guy WILL just melt right there

Since his hair is really long, you're always trying out random hairstyles on him

He always protests, but he really does love it hehe

The man is such a tease, sometimes he'll swoop down to capture your lips in a kiss, only for him to kiss the corner of your mouth instead

Other times (when you're alone ofc,) Cole trails kisses down your neck and just randomly stops, and you always complain

He has a passion for singing, but will never sing in front of anyone apart from you

Most of the time, whenever he sings to you its a love song that both of you like 🥰

He's usually a pretty chill boyfriend, and doesn't normally get jealous

But on the very rare occasion that he does, he won't show it

Instead he'll get all pouty and whenever you ask what's wrong, his only response is to pull you into a hug

He'll most likely feel a little self-conscious and wonder if you're becoming uninterested in him

He didn't tell the ninja he had a partner until Jay and Nya spotted you two in a vinyl records store holding hands

They interrogated the poor thing for like 3 hours when he got back

But once they all met you they really liked you!

Kai and Jay subjected you to more embarrassing Cole stories, which the earth ninja was NOT happy about

He prefers to spend time with you alone, away from other people

He vents to you a lot of the time and tells you about his struggles and his feelings

Hes actually really open with you, but he never pressures you to tell him anything

He wants to be able to earn your trust <3

Benny Gecko x Courier 6

“If you get together with me, you’ll be the first person to shoot a person in the head, and then date them later, and bragging rights too! Not everyone can shoot me and get away with it.”

Hello, nukabrain here, I decided to start a series where I go a bit beyond the "hey I was hoping we can be more than friends." cause what the hell is that. I wanted more! Of course there will be special cases, like Benny from FNV and Nick Valentine (ofc). Requests from other Fallout characters that are not companions will be accepted, but will be put on the back of my list. I don't write a lot, so it will take some time (also sorry for bad writing, trying to get back into the grove again. NOT PROOFREADED I WAS IN RUSH OK-

“Ugh, this trip was exhausting. If it weren’t for you sweet-talking them out of a high price, we probably would've been gunned down.”

Benny gave me a weird look. “But you would win against them anyway, right? You’re just saying that so you have a reason to take me on your trips.”

“True, but it saves me bullets, y’know!” I huffed, crossing my arms in protest. “So you’re coming with me on the next trip.”

Benny went to unlock the suite doors to head to the bar, grabbing the first thing off the shelf and pouring himself a glass. “You know the caps they received aren’t yours?”

“Yup!” I plopped on the nearest stool.

He let out a sigh of defeat, “Still don’t know why you haven’t shot me yet.”

I gave it a good thought before opening my mouth.

“Why waste a bullet-” “Why waste a bullet- HEY! If you knew the answer, why did you ask me?” :C

“Baby, you’re so predictable. Maybe I actually blew your brains out and it's just a hollow hole up there,” Benny sighed, taking another gulp of liquor.

“It is NOT hollow up there. I mean, if it was, I wouldn’t love you.”

Benny stared at me blankly, took another shot of whiskey, and looked at me again.

“What in the goddamn? Are you right in the he- right you aren’t.”

“I mean what I said,” I laughed at his reaction. “If you get together with me, you’ll be the first person to shoot a person in the head, and then date them later, with bragging rights too! Not everyone can shoot me and get away with it.”

“You twisted fuck. I like women so I'm not sure what you're doing,” Benny shooed the courier away but snuck in a glace at the man before him

Benny took in the courier’s dirty hair, his lips looking very kissable, and his eyes looking straight at him-

Maybe it’s the liquor.

He shook his head.

“Not happening, kid.”

“You were thinking about it!” I leaned closer to him.

“Was not.”

“Was too!”

Benny turned around in protest.

“Fine, I was. Are you happy?”

Courier's face instantly sparkled, to the point Benny thought he was staring at a second sun.

“Try not to smile so wide, baby. You might break your mout-.”

He was suddenly cut off with a quick kiss on the lips.

“I’m very happy you thought about it,” the courier whispered, holding his face.

Benny stared at him blankly.

“Oh fuck, kiss me again.”

Courier did not need to be told twice as he kissed him deeper, holding his waist and neck. When they went for air, the courier instantly loosened Benny’s tie, leaving a trail of kisses down the neck, and sucking on the collarbone, leaving a dark mark.

The man let out a sharp sigh, as his skin felt like it was on fire.

Before they could go any further, someone knocked on the door. Benny instantly got up and fixed his tie.

“Y-Yes? What the fuck do you need? I’m a bit busy here.”

“Sorry, boss, but there’s something you should double-check downstairs.”

Benny grumbled some unsavory words before giving a reply.

“Fine. Give me a minute.”

As the footsteps faded away, Benny finger-combed his hair a bit before getting up.

“Hey, so that’s a yes, right?” I asked, smirking.

“Baby, of course, it’s a yes. Otherwise, you would’ve been shot in the head twice.”

I laughed and gave him a kiss, which Benny grumpily took in.

Bonus:

“Hey, boss, are you really dating the courier that you shot?”

“Yeah, wh- hey, how the fuck did you find out?”

The henchman just pointed to the courier skipping happily, saying, “Ben-ny is my boy-friend,” in a sing-songy voice.

“Goddamnit.”

SLK or Spider/Kiri/Lo'ak Headcanons

idk what these will be about tbh i’m just writing as i think of stuff lmao

Kiri had a phase where she was convinced she was a witch because everywhere she went an animal would just waddle up to her

Spider, Lo’ak and Jake talk to babies like they’re grown people, like no baby talk and it’s hilarious

Lo’ak was once holding a baby, and you know how you hold them high in the air and they’re above you? Yea they were having a moment and then the little creature threw up all over his shirt and started giggling right after

“Dude seriously? we were having a moment wtf” it took everything in him not to just drop the baby

Lo’ak would copy everything Jake did as a kid, his lil mini me fr

Lo’ak’s first words were either dad or Teyam

Spider and Lo’ak both have severe anger issues and lord knows what would happen if they ever turned on eachother abt that anger

Lo'ak is always reprimanded about the things he does, gets yelled at and gets in trouble in situations where he isn't truly at fault. Authority figures never let him explain himself and always assume he's lying or trying to makes excuses and they expect him to just take it and move on. He does, but all that annoyance and anger at a situation he can't help tends to come back up a lot.

With Spider on the other hand, adults can never seem to shut up with their backhanded comments,

"you're nicer than i thought you'd be considering your dad"

"Oh wow you're so smart I didn't think you'd get it'

"You look just like him" (in a bad way)

"Oh you're good at this, who would've thought"

All this stuff and he can't really say anything because he'd be proving them right. So he stays silent, doesn't argue back and boy does he hate it.

One time Neytiri made a comment on the wrong day at the wrong time and he honestly considered violence before he just silently walked out of the room. He definitely punches and breaks stuff but he tries to restrain himself which adds to the pent up anger

They've both used that anger on their bullies, Spider broke the guys nose and dislocated his shoulder by pulling it up his back and making him promise to never show his face again

Lo'ak just went straight to the punches, broke the dudes nose and left him slack jawed

So if you ever catch them in a slightly off mood and you even try to talk to them or act any sort of way, you're getting sent to the nurse. I'm sorry i don't make these rules

Kiri is the mediator, she doesn't want to be but she sometimes ends up being the most rational because when she's upset, anger isn't her default unlike the other two

Lo'ak collects comic books, Jake started the obsession and he went wild. Have a comic or manga you wanna borrow? Vintage or not it's probably in his room somewhere

Spider is a math genius, the formulas are just free balling in his head and it makes it easy for him.

He's also a literature enthusiast but has a hard time expressing his own ideas on paper, great public speaker though

Lo'ak definitely over analyzes his favorite characters, gets sad and cries silently abt it

Kiri is an all around science nerd, she goes to class just because she enjoys helping out w hands on science stuff, most of the content isn't new for her

Kiri despises chemistry, she understands it but finds it uninteresting. Ofc biology and botany are where it’s at

All language nerds

All great at physical education, i mean like the actually science behind the body, they have all the muscle names memorized etc

Kiri is their little jewel, Lo’ak especially, he tries to make it the least obvious but Spider definitely tells her how much Lo’ak cherishes her

Spider is very open with his affections, he just doesn’t feel the need to hide it, they live that loves that about him

Spider and Neteyam know how to cook a mean meal, put them in a kitchen together and you’re literally drooling at the smell

Spider is a spicy food enthusiast right along with Jake and Neytiri

Kiri has had a cat for 4 years, Jake has only known for 2 years because he used to be terrified of them and Kiri didn’t want him to freak out

He now carries said cat like it’s his mini purse

Honestly, the more you talk about it, the more I want to hear about Endeavour's PR. Who's on it, like, number of people? What is their main stance before Enji starts turning his life around? What do they fight him on? Which specific thing finally gets him to fire them? Plus, which poor sap finds himself suddenly going from note-taker to head of PR (you know there had to be at least 1 decent person in there that never got promoted, but actually supports what Enji's trying to do).

it's fuckin.

Enji kinda has just. Hired PR people in general and gave bare-minimum instructions and trusted them to know what they're doing. So it's a combo of letting them have free rein on things he doesn't feel he has time for (like letting them handle every time the media accuses him of having an affair or having a bastard child, overall management of his twitter page), or taking their advice on ways to improve his image in the eyes of the public(this can range from 'covering gray hairs' to 'fielding which charity events he attends as he can't go to all of them').

But ofc this has kinda swung into the PR team kinda.... either assuming his wants/viewpoints to make statements, and/or them telling him what's 'right' based on their own feelings vs. what he wants. And Enji is just dealing with so much else and the whole point of hiring them was 'handle this so I don't have to' that he rarely checks in to keep an eye on things. (which is how he doesn't know gay people exist even though the last like 4 years have been spent with the media accusing him of having an affair with Hawks lmao).

And I have two thoughts on things where the PR team acts without Enji's permission that leads to a complete 'scrap the fuckers and start over with more checks in place'. Like there's /more/ on the whole, but these are the only two I have specific thoughts on

One is- I have a specific scene planned out for this where it's Enji gets dragged out with Midnight and Snipe's drinking night, and this is post-finding out about gay people which those two are aware of him being queer. So they're suddenly getting notifications of his twitter posting something even though he's right there and not on his phone so they're like 'uh you might wanna check this out'.

Enji's kinda surprised because usually the PR team does get /some/ permission before speaking for him, did kinda say 'yeah just handle certain things without notifying me'. And it takes him a minute to even realize what they posted as, having only known gay people exist for like a month, isn't up to date on subtle homophobic phrases like 'traditional family values'.

ofc he immediately borrows Midnight's phone to use her twitter and post a response video of 'fuck off, my PR team posted that and I will be talking to them because I am here for the lgbt community'.

Which yeah opens up him investigating into that and finding subtle and less-than-subtle things that they've been doing for his image. And while it might have /technically/ helped keep his popularity up, it does against things he thinks are right.

And the second incident is bigger which is. Idk if he finds out through investigation or if Natsuo says it after Enji has worked to gain back some trust but like.

A little bit after Toya first 'died', Natsuo did try to go for exposing the fact that Enji is a bad parent and trying to get that info out to the media and like get cps involved and such. But the PR team caught wind of it and shut it down HARD. Very guilt-tripping, threatening, and even bringing the Commission into this situation to prove to the kid that nothing would be done, and if he continued to try then, well. The middle child isn't usually missed all that much.

Enji is. Very. Very pissed at this. The not telling him, the fact that they threatened his kid to preserve his image. The fact that this contributed to some of the family drama because Natsuo assumed Enji knew and had them cover for him when, again, he had no idea at all and would've taken Natsuo's grievances a hell of a lot more seriously if he did.

It's. It's a LOT.

i need to talk about Alex, Luke and Reggie and their families' dynamics.

We don't get a lot from the show apart from Luke and it's not that much either, when we think about it. But from Reggie and Alex? Crumbs of backstory. the references we got to their past from the show is that Reggie's parent were in a bad relationship and Alex's parent were homophobic. god bless the guy who decided to write books abt it bc i can't stress enough over not knowing abt their past.

So starting with Reggie, my favorite backstory, is that he had parents who were always fighting amd he also had a little brother, age not specified but i guess between 8-11, Steve admired Reggie and his band and Reggie kinda regretted not spending enough time w him bc of the band. idk thinking of Reggie as an older brother opens lot of possibilities for what his character would've become. also brings more of a reason why he's so goofy and lightheaded, it can be either a way to separate from, maybe, a figure of power for his brother, being held to a responsibility or something alike, i mean, none really knows how stuff were inside Reggie's house so there's no way to tell if they had been heavily neglected at some point. or maybe being optimistic and joyful was just the way he tried to find to make things lighter for his brother when he was around, maybe to his whole family when trying to keep them from starting a fight (we also dont know for how long reggie's parents have been fighting). either way, fascinates me.

Alex also intrigued me a little bit, but i liked to figure him out. I personally enjoy when fanfic writers make his parents religious or give him fear of coming out to his friends, but, just ain't real. From what I've read on the book, Alex's parents used to be supportive of the band and welcoming to his friends, they'd have sleepovers w the whole band, and be warm and welcoming. When Alex mentions being gay, he says he wouldn't sneak a guy he actually liked out of his window and wanted to bring this hypothetical guy through the front door like his older sister did w her boyfriends, this being the 90's its a pretty prideful statement for a gay teenager. But Kenny mentioned Alex is pride of himself and wouldn't hide it. So i don't think Alex got christian fever over his sexuality, neither did his parents. What i guess, is that Alex was the kid with "Cool Parents" that would let him be and do what he wanted, be supportive of him, Alex pretty much mentioned on the show he was always trustworthy (in rhetoric to Reggie never being believed as a kid). What also would explain how Alex can grow so confident of himself and expect to receive the same treatment his sister does. So the moment Alex came out, something he never took back, even when his parents didn't approved, it shifted the whole "modern cool parents" thing bc yeah, Alex can have a band, be a drummer (which is not everyone's favorite instrument to have at home), let his sister bring multiple boyfriends to their house, but if Alex wants to bring guys, he better do it far from their eyes. "do what you want, but not under my roof". Clearly, it affected him to have a family who was loving and supportive, just to find out that being gay was going to twist the way his parents saw and treated him like, and ofc that's not what Alex wanted, he wanted the warmth and the love he'd always received before. also, Alex being a young brother makes sense to why he's a little shit on the show.

Luke also has interesting background. Different from Alex, who had a family who supported his band (til they didn't anymore) and Reggie, who had a family who probably didn't cared, Luke had a family very much disapproving of his life dream, so much that i doubt they've met the boys personally, aside from Bobby bc he was Luke's oldest friend, since there's a moment on the book Alex asks where they are and its Luke's house, and they have been friends for years so its interesting Alex not knowing where Luke lives. i think Sunset Curve was just a part of his life that Luke didn't shared with his parents bc he knew it wouldn't be worth it. What doesn't mean Luke didn't wanted to share, he was trying to make it without his parents' support, getting a job to buy instruments and other stuff for example. And if Alex is not the religious link of the group, Luke definitely is, not only he makes mentions of Hell and Heaven, but his house has a huge cross on it, visible on the clip of Unsaid Emily, and i think that's why Luke, at the same time he doesn't want to talk of the past, is the one who feels more guilty about the way he left things with his mom. Boy got hard catholic guilt on his head even if Luke himself isn't really into religion.

I'm not gonna make myself long with Bobby, bc if Alex and Reggie left crumbs of backstory, Bobby left drops in the sun. but the book had some pretty cool details, he got three older brothers who are sport trifecta, and Bobby is the kid who only got to play in a band, he doesn't get a lot of attention from his parents and even Luke is his friend since they were kids and they started playing together, he also feels apart from the band, he also seems to care a lot about Luke since he wanted Luke to make up with his mom on the day of their show at the orpheum. So it does adds dimension to the character we see on the show.

lol this one i had to think about because i have SO many ideas always but i'm in the habit of usually jotting down 250-500 words into a google doc and then letting it ferment in the void for several months. so for stuff i really want to do but haven't started in no particular order-

84%. Did they ever bully anybody in school? Were they ever bullied? How did they react to the bullying or what prompted them to bully someone?

They weren't bullies themselves but they were bullied.

Fun fact: this is how they met! I'll get into that in a bit.

John's bullied period was more or less pretty short and it ended with him getting into a one-punch fight (he ofc threw it and the kid in question dropped like a bag of hammers). It was a little after his dad died, so he was around 11. This kid who was almost twice his size (John was small for his age and it was originally thought he was just gonna be short would've been a short king if im gonna be honest but he had some late growth spurts) but ANYWAY, was just relentless with saying how much he sucks so bad that his brother and his dad died and maybe his mom would too, just bad mouthing him. John ofc, told the teachers and they gave that ol' "well just ignore him, he'll stop doing it."

He did for a while but one day, he had enough. John told the kid to shut up, and said the line "make me!" He did alright. Knocked two baby teeth out. Everyone else didn't mess with him after that. This went well into high school. Keep that in mind!

Brian: Brian was bullied because he was just too good of a runner. He tried out for track + cross country and instead of him being placed with junior varsity, he was picked to do varsity. (High school sports in the USA have categories like junior varsity or JV -- typically for freshman/sophmores and varsity -- junior/senior. Sometimes if a lower classman is really good, they'll be promoted to varsity team).

Brian was great at running -- maybe having something to do with how he was treated (by this time, he was living with Connie), so it was his way of escaping. However, the older boys on the team felt threatened by him, particularly the captain of the team and especially after Brian outran him by a long shot. You'd think, he's an upperclassman, he's got what a year or so left and he'll graduate and fuck off to somewhere else.

Anyway, Brian is harassed; what was terrible about it was that when he brought it up, he was pretty much shut down, or the authority (including his coach) was like 'tough nuts kid.' He was at his wits end, first home shit and now this? and for what? Like his teammates were coming in before/after homeroom (think of like a brief 20 minute accountability thing first in the in morning, attendance, announcements, etc). One day, Brian's in his seat, a group of 2-3 of them were hassling Brian and all of a sudden this kid is beside him and puts his hand on his desk so he could lean. Like in a protective way. He doesn't say anything, but the air changes and the boys left shortly.

Brian's a little shook but he looks up at the kid. Never really see him bc he always sits in the back. Doesn't know his name but he can't forget his gold eyes. He nods and returns to his desk.

Later on in the day in another class, Brian has this urge to get out of the room; he asks to go to the bathroom. He gets there, locks himself in the stall, and he breaks down. He doesn't know how much time passes but there's a knock on the door.

"Hey, are you alright? Mrs. Bradley told me to check on you."

Brian freezes. He's never heard that voice before. It's soft. Tries to collect himself. "I'm f-fine."

"You don't sound like it. You... wanna talk?"

Not really. "Yeah." Brian unlocks the door and sheepishly walks out. The kid with the gold eyes is here. The rumors that he's heard about him swirl in his head. He doesn't match any of it, but he knows it's him. How he decked someone so hard, they lost teeth. That he was crazy.

"Your name's Brian, isn't it? I'm John. We're in the same homeroom. Uhm..." He drops off. Rubs the back of his neck.

"John." Brian pauses. He's shaking. Wits end. He starts rattling off his problems. Word vomit. John's there, listening, nodding. He realizes that this is something the adults are not gonna fix. He tells Brian not to worry. Brian doesn't know what that means yet, but he's just glad someone's listening; he offers to do his homework in exchange but John declines.

There's a lull in the bullying. John and Brian get to know each other with the classes and lunch time that they share. Those rumors... were unfounded and exaggerated. He's nice to talk to. The food he brings tastes delicous (and bonus, he brings some extra because apparently his mom makes a lot). It makes him less worried about how practice is gonna go.

One particular lunch period, John was a little late in getting there; Brian's settled and eating his in peace until the captain shows up, grabs it out of his hands, and chucks it away. Everyone just stops. Captain starts name calling, poking and jabbing Brian. Brian's about to make a swing for but there's a loud commotion and the captain is knocked down. John puts himself between him and Brian. Captain attempts to tackle John but John manages to stay balanced and just lets him have it.

"You mess with my friend again and I'll break your fucking leg," is what John says.

Obviously they all get sent to the principal's office, parents and guardians get called... whole ass mess. The captain gets expelled because of the domino effect of John whooping his ass emboldened people to say, "hey he's done this and that". (Parents tried to pay the school off but someone actually squashed that).

Brian's sitting outside of the office; Connie's been contacted but there wasn't an answer. He was asked there's a way to contact his parents -- and says that they're dead and he's dismissed.

So's John, a seat apart. Brian's relieved but he's also mortified. He's also dreading what his aunt will do to him. He looks over to John. John's sitting there, relaxed. Maybe exhausted. They both hear a woman's voice shouting in a mixture of English and another language.

John sighs. "I'm so grounded." He fishes out a pen and piece of paper. Scribbles something down and hands it over. He rubs his neck again. "That's my address and phone number. I want you to come by. Uhm. If you like. I'm sure my mom won't mind." He leans over and adds, "She's really nice."

The paper makes Brian feel something. He can't put his finger on what it is as John's giving him a little smile. "Thank you." He's about to say something else but the door opens, and makes himself smaller than he is. A woman calls John by his full name in a terse tone and walks off. John follows after a moment. He gives him a little fist bump before leaving.

After that, no one messed with either of them for the remainder of high school. (Though they were suspended, John for a week and Brian a few days, but he wasn't kicked off the team.)

Yamato meeting/dating a single mother with one child:

he knows that she hides something from him. It really is obvious, the way she constantly has to cut their dates short, she is busy most of the day, and can only make dates possible after mysterious talks with a friend (the de facto babysitter).

when she tells him the truth ("Yamato, I have a child. Sorry that I didn't tell you earlier".) he accepts it pretty easily.

Why shouldn't he? It's a child and no reason to be embarrassed.

Overall, Yamato is happy that the mother trusts him with that knowledge. He won't press to meet the child, trusting her decision when it's the right time.

Though, when she asks him if he would like to meet her child, he gets nervous. Understandably so! He never had anything to do with children, and now he would meet one one-on-one!

The day before the meeting, Yamato can't really sleep. He is so nervous that he keeps having nightmarish scenarios running through his head. Will the child like him? Or will they think he's creepy? His eyes have a strange shape, he knows that, the child could be scared of that...

The day of the meeting, he tries so hard to be prepared. So, so hard. Picking up a small present in the form of a toy (he will select smth gender neutral), hiding some candy in the depths of his vest, such things. Small things. Small things he's sure he can't fuck up.

When they meet, he's so nervous. His smile is shaky as he nods at the small child, who clings to the legs of their mother.

"Hey there!"

When the child doesn't answer, Yamato looks full of helplessness at the mother, who chuckles a little bit.

"Don't worry. They are just like you, a little bit shy."

With time, Yamato comes to like the child a lot, and they also come to like him over time. It's a slow process because Yamato is terribly awkward around the child, but he tries, and they notice that.

The mother is ofc happy and grateful that it's working out so well, and Yamato is relieved that the child doesn't dislike him, because even though he knows next to nothing about family bonds, he is pretty sure that if the child wouldn't like him, his relationship with the mother would've been over.

Kakashi meeting/dating a single mother with one child:

on the outside, Kakashi will be really indifferent to the reveal that his s/o has a child. on the inside though, he will start to sweat bullets.

From the very first moment, he's anxious as fuck. He was never good with children, hell, the only experience he has with them are fresh genin who he decimates with his bell test. Now he has to be nice to one?

He doesn't know if he can do it. Also, he will be remembered of his father, which will make the entire ordeal even more painful for him.

When his S/O introduces her child to him, Kakashi will be aloof. He doesn't know what to do with them. At their age, he was already handling deadly weapons and jutsu, and they don't even seem to be able handling some rough training session.

The first thing he notices how small and fragile the child is. The second thing is their big eyes, questioningly looking up to him as they stand right beside their mother, their hands entwined.

"Hey." Kakashi tries to be nonchalant. Strange. Under the scrutiny of this child, he feels like he has to face off against the worst of his opponents once again.

Though, when they show their toothy smile, the nervousness calms itself just the tiniest bit.

It will take a while for him to grow acustomed to a child. How to speak to them, how to act around them. On top of that, he has a pretty skewed view on what children should play with, which makes babysitting with him a rarity.

even though Kakashi is wary of the child, the child isn't wary of him at all. They're almsot uncomfortably close to him whenever they meet, just because "his hair is funny and his mask is funny and he just looks funny!"

The mother is just happy their child accepted Kakashi so easily, and whenever the child gets a bit too much for the emotionally stunted jonin, she will happily give him some time to himself to calm down and focus once more.

There were two seats on the both side of me empty, and she did not come and sit next to me :( I messed up the first half of the class sulking over that, and then my anxiety worked up in the second half, because if reason I tell you, you'd think im probably a psychopath or overdramatic or still hung up over my ex-crush but what happened is that a tution friend of mine was sitting at a diagonal from me, and he looked exactly !! EXACTLY, like a guy from school I had a crush on and it was so scary, I legit myself thought for a moment that im going crazy it was THAT insane !! Anyway, I was →← this close to self harming at that time because if I wouldnt,I would've legit screamed or cried in the class.

Ok, that sounds overdramatic, but I genuinely have like a lot of trauma because what basically happened is that just because we sat next to each other for two day, everyone in school started the rumours that we are dating. I didnt even had a crush on him that time, and then he started ignoring me, we were good friends, and then we didnt talked for a year, next grade we again became friends when the rumours subsided, note that its started when I was in 4th grade, and now we're in 5th, so we became friends again and they strated teasing us again, but this time instead of ignoring me, he started blaming me that I spread this rumours ??! But nvm because i thought he spread those rumours too so it was vice-versa.

What was worse was when in a skt class, our teaher asked a student to make a sentence with garden, and he (lil piece of shit, always teases me, but still like a bro to me, ughh idk why I hang with ppl like these) he said ''my name' and 'my ex-crushe's' name are sitting in a garden together' and mam !! That freaking sanskrit mam !! Who freaking knows whats going on !! Knows that he is teasing me !! Write THAT freaking sentence on the freaking board !!!! Thank god that our classes were divided at that time and 'ex-crush' went to some other class. But that was on the freaking board for anyone to read. And its only starting !! What happened next was mam didnt erased it before leaving the class, with some cursed twist of fate, the said ex-crush came just before I could go and erase what was written, he reads it and istg I would've legit died there of embaresment. And teh guy who told mam to write that, he and his gang™ come and corner me, and like all of them are friend to me, but they corner me and they start screaming that ohh look someone got a lil crush, look who is head over heals in love. And im having the 'sliding down the wall crying moment'™ because its all too noicy !!

And then our Maths mam comes and shoo's all of them away, takes me out of the class and asks me what happened. Now she is a friendly and all mam and I was her fav student so ofc she is concerned. And I tell her what they said about me and some random person dating and its all lies and THAT FREAKING TEACHER !! She gave me this 🌝← look and said,' well, are u sure ur not dating him ?'

And lemme tell you, If I wasnt so frustrated already, I would've known that's he was kidding, but me being me, started fucking crying and I told her I don't want to attend her class, im going to the medbay and im just gonna sit there and die (I said that, no kidding) and she even let me, I was surprised, but gratefull and spent that period in medbay while the teacher scholded the rest of the class for bullying me. She even complained to the class teacher and the next day, the bullies got another scolding, which was embarrassing for me because ethey were my friends, but meh.

This is one (1) of the many bad insidences which happened due to that rumour, and the other are worse, so when I saw that other dude in tution. Looking like my ex-crush, who I also havent seen of or think about for the past two years, I lost it. I think the girl sitting next to me saw me punching my bag but didnt said anything, as for maya, she never cared 😔

"The killers had the whole half of the day to go kill Sam at the hospital, but only showed up there when we went to go see her."

"Why are you taking my jacket?" Simon asks as we leave the bathroom, and I see we were the only ones ready. "Because it's your favorite jacket. Plus it's basically your work jacket too. We can wash it. I'm going to go put it in my locker so it will be safe. I'll be right back." I leave him rushing to my locker then back to him. "They're still aren't back or out? Man, I thought we would've taken the most time." I laugh as he pulls me into his side, holding me as we wait. A few seconds pass before Kate and Josh come out and she has a look on her face. "No." Simon smiles, letting go of me as we get off the wall. "Calm down. It was barely first base." Kate tells us and Josh just has a big smile. We all look over at Sam and Deena slowly walking back holding hands.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Did you... all go to pound town?'' Simon asks and no one says a word. "Me too." Simon smiles pulling me closer to him. "Who knew it there had to be killers to make you two confess to each other?" Kate smiles at us. "They did a lot more than just confess." Deena laughs. "Shut up the both of you," I whine making Simon kiss the top of my head. "Let's just change the topic. How about we just start this plan.'' I get out of Simon's arms. "Okay. The trap is simple. We set the bait. The killers go to the blood.'' Josh says then we get to work. While Simon, Kate, and Josh mop a blood trail to the bathroom, I wait outside while Deena was talking to Sam inside.

"You think this will work?" Deena joins me as Kate comes back. "I don't know but I hope." I lean up against the wall as Josh comes running back. "Dude! She's here! I saw her! She's still ducking crazy! She was doing it! Following the blood trails!" Simon runs back to us freaking out. "It's working. Skull Mask freak, three o'clock." Kate points out then we see Ruby coming. "If this doesn't work, I will murder you!" Kate tells Deena as Nightwing starts to come. All three walk past us into the bathroom then Sam pops out telling us to go. Once Deena sets the bathroom on fire we rush down to the hall to be safe. After the screaming stops and the explosion goes off we slowly make our way back. We use the fire extinguishers to clear out the small little parts in the bathroom so we can see. "Come back from that, motherfuckers!" Simon shouts but I don't have a good feeling while they start to chuckle.

"Guys... I'm starting to have a bad feeling." I slowly back away to the door seeing the gross stuff in the walls start to me. We all run as the killers come back together. We ran into a classroom and Simon locked the door. "They're gonna keep coming!" I yell. "We're fucked!" Simon yells too. "No, no! We are not fucked! She's fucked. They're coming for her. If we put Sam in the hall, we end this now." Kate looks over at Sam. "You're a monster." Deena walks towards Kate. "I'm being reasonable! We can't run anymore. A bullet won't stop them, fine. They're really strong. But we just tried to goddamn explode them, and that didn't work!" Kate makes a point. "You're suggesting killing her," Deena asks. "I mean, that's not exactly what she's saying," Josh adds. "Oh, you're on her side?" Deena looks at her brother. "You'd let us all die to protect her. Look at this. Okay, all of this. Dead, dead, dead! This is the way. It's the only way! Sam's gotta go." Kate pulls out all the articles.

"Are you kidding me? Elizabeth, she's your sister! You're fine with this?!" Deena shouts at me. I look over at Sam, "We don't know what else to do. As much as I hate it, we don't know." I look away from them. "Kate's right. I don't want you guys to die for me. I'm going. I'm ending this." Sam agrees. "No, you're not. Are you crazy?" Deena walks up to Sam then Sam walks to the door. "No, Sam! Sam! Sam!" Deena shouts, going after so Simon holds her back while Kate locks the door. "Let me go. Let me go. Let me... Help me! Help! We're letting her die! We're killing her! Please!" Deena struggles with Simon. "There's a way!" Josh yells so we pull Sam back into the room. "What... what... what is going on?" Sam asks, confused. "You're not doing this alone," Kate tells her. "There's another way. C. Berman. She's the key." Josh tells her.

I end up helping Simon barricade the door while Nightwing was trying to take down the door. "Take your time!" I shout at Kate and Deena looking her up. With each bang on the door, Simon and I groan trying to keep the killer out. "We need some help here!" Simon shouts, making Kate rush over. "Ahhh!" I scream as the ax comes through. "This shit is not gonna hold!" Simon yells. "GUYS!" I yell as Nightwing starts to make the hole bigger. "SIMON!" I scream as Nightwing's arm grabs his head making him scream. "Help us!" Kate and I yell trying to get Simon loose. Josh runs and stabs the killer's hand making him let go. Kate and I pull Simon away and he turns to put his feet up in the door. Even with four of us holding the door it was getting harder to do. "What is taking so long!" I shout at Sam and Denna. "The fucking rhyme!" Deena asks us. "She'll take your blood, she'll take your head! She'll follow you," They finish the rhyme after Simon.

So now basically the plan was to kill Sam then bring her back to life. "Come on! Out the window!" Deena shouts and we all make a run for it. Once outside we ran to the ambulance jumping in. "Let's Timothy this bitch!" He closes the door and Kate drives to the grocery store. "How's your head?" I ask him. "He didn't bang my head too hard." He takes my hand into his. "I should have already known that. Your head wasn't bleeding so you're fine." I put my head on his shoulder. When we get to the store Simon goes in the back of the pharmacy to get things we need. "A few months ago, my brother Timothy had an unfortunate experience in which he ingested too much of a certain substance. He was dead for two minutes. But... we got him back!" Simon drum rolls on the counter. "Kate. It's time for your close-up." Deena tells her.

"You need to take these in order. Pile one takes the edge off. You're gonna feel like you're being fucked by a unicorn." Josh and I make a face. "Pile two is gonna bring your core temp way down. You may feel slightly sick. You need to take a five-minute interval between pile two and pile three. That's really important, okay? Pile three brings you down and out, so you gotta take, take five, or it's all gonna go to shit!" Simon explains to Sam. "How many do we have?" I asked, picking up the EpiPen's. "Tons. Like a thousand." He takes them from me. "Wait. EpiPens?" Deena asks. "Epinephrine, also known as adrenaline. This is what brings her back. This is Jesus!" He explains.

"Okay, so now we just put Sam's blood on you four." Deena looks at us. "Wait? What?" I shake my head. "No, that's a stupid plan." I keep shaking my head. "We have to have them distracted so Sam has time to kill herself," Deena explains to me. "She'll have time without us being bait. Do you not understand they are attached to the blood?" I start to get loud. "Yes, we know. They will follow you four." She looks at me like I don't understand. "No shit, Deena! My point is we're just making them come to us faster." I shout at her. "Elizabeth, they will come for Sam anyway." She explains, making me groan. "Let me keep explaining why this is stupid... The killers had the whole half of the day to go kill Sam at the hospital, but only showed up there when we went to go see her about Peter.'' I pause for a minute so they can take it in.

"Don't you get it? They only went there because you and Simon still had Sam's blood on your clothes. Yeah, they won't stop coming for Sam, but they don't know where she is if there's no blood. So why are we bringing them here faster?" I explain my case. "Liz is making a good point." Josh agrees with me. "We don't hundred percent know that." Deena shakes her head. "Yes! We do! Just admit you don't care if we die so Sam can live." I get frustrated. "Lizzy is right though." Simon starts. "We are just making them come to us faster," Kate adds. "It's part of the plan and we're doing it," Deena says and Sam lets her cut her hand.

While everyone ends up agreeing because Deena was determined it was the only plan, I get pissed. "You don't have to do this," Sam tells me. "I don't wanna do this because you're okay putting me and my friends at risk. You don't care if they die tonight, and I'm sure you wouldn't care if I die either. I'm only doing this because if they end up dying... I wanna go out with them. And if they do die tonight because you and Deena think my theory is stupid... Just know, I will hate you both deep down." I walk away from her. "I wish we could have gone with your plan. We just need to make it through this." Simon grabs my face.

"And if we don't?" I ask him and he just kisses me. "We don't have to be teen parents if the pill doesn't work." He makes me laugh. "I love you." He kisses me. "I love you too." I kiss him back. "Just promise me, if, if... Something bad happens to me... You will make it through this for me." He cups my face still. "Don't say that." My voice cracks. "Just promise me, Lizzy." I nod my head, "I promise. But please don't die tonight. I love you." My eyes tear up. "I love so much more." He kisses me again then my forehead.

The time was night, the date was wednesday and it was cold and dark because the winter is approached. The lamps in the street gave to the road a dim-lit light as well as the sidewalk. She walked directly to the bridge, and no, she doesnt wanted to commit suicide, she just wanted to be alone, sang out her sadness in the night.

"Everyone got their soulmate... Tony got Pepper, Thor has Jane, Clint already had a family and two kid, Natasha and Bruce are a couple... Hell even Steve with Bucky"

She thought that and started to sing:

Her beautyful voice slowly closed, a knot grew in her throat as she started to sob, then cry. She felt nothing but darkness and being alone, while she was the heart of her team. The fact and happy memories didnt helped. But remembered when Steve laughed in the joke, remembered when Tony gave her a compliment about her progress, the training in the gym with Nat, sometimes with Bucky or Steve, even the archery competition with Clint. Her brain closed out those memories and forced her to not let inside. On the other hand... a tall, slim figure watched her. He has got long black hair, a pair of mesmerizing emerald green eyes, sharp features wich was particularly attractive, pale skin and mysterious aura. He hid in the shadow, just like he did in his childhood. He understood her pain, what's more, he felt the same. Being lonlely and left behind. To be honest, the girl would gave everything for a hug and being in a comfy place... Between someone's arm.

-Yes. I can feel it. Why are you here in those times? It's dark, dangerous and you dont know how many serial killer around you. You should go home.

-I dont think that two killer would've such a good talk like us.

Said the girl without looking back. She wasnt scared, she was still sad. The man, however was suprised from the answer.

-In fact, I'd be happy if you'd kill me right here.

-Why would I? I mean I'm not going to kill you.

-Then why are you here? Why dont you leave me alone? You know what? You're right... I'm going home and put on my "nothing happened me, i'm perfectly fine" mask.

Then without a single word, she vanished from the bridge back to the Avengers Tower, where ofc everyone was happy. Well, almost. While our girl was in her room, deep in her thoughts, the black haired man stormed through rooms, used the elevator until he found his brother. He knocked on the door, with a bit of nervousness. Soon, a tall, muscular, bearded blonde man opened the door. His face immediately light up btw. He loved his not so little brother.

-Where you've been Loki?

-None of your business brother.

-Then why are you energised? You always nap and brood in silence. Something has changed I can tell.

-Whatever. How can someone make a sad person happy?

-Someone wants make you happy, or you are the one who doesnt want to commit a crime?

-This time, the second one brother.

Loki quckly arranged his face before Thor could've figured out what caused the change in him. He really hoped that the girl told the truth to him, but doesnt thought that she's inside the Tower like he or everyone.

-Well... Kind words helps most of the time.

-Geez, she wanted to die, by my hands. BY MY HANDS! Shes even more depressed than me brother.

-How she looked out?

-Well, she was at my chest height, or at least i think, she sat on the ground, and i'm not a cat, I cant see in the dark... Btw she had dark hair, maybe brown or black, waist lenght, straight. Her voice was.... Truly beautyful, even when it broke and started to cry.

-Hmm... Looks like you met with Valr. Oh brother, if you really want to know her better, it might be a big bite for you. She only talks when someone ask something from her, and I've never seen or heard her laughing. Most of the time she is in the library, gym or in her room when she isnt on a mission, out here with us. But to be honest, it could be anyone. I wish you good luck, if you really saw Valr... She's a worthy warrior.

-One more question before Ieave. Does she used to attend at dinner?

Thor nodded as an answer for the question, then closed the door after Loki, who teleported to the library. He found it empity tho. But at the other hand, Valr successfully picked herself up from the floor and walked to the common kitchen. She sighed in relief, she was alone, but not for a long time. As the time passed, the table was ready for the dinner. A whole set of plates, forks and knifes with table napkins. As the clock hit 7:30pm, the rest of the team slowly started to attend here and fill the room with energy and happines... The first, and most hungriest person was Bucky, then Steve, after them Natasha and Bruce. Thor followed them with Loki who seemed distant from the others. Clint arrived before the two god. As usual, Tony didnt showed up.

-Ah, Lady Valr, take a seat and eath with us.

-Thanks Thor, but I'm not hungry. I already ate and now I'm full.

-At least, stay with us and drink Val'.

-This cant cause any problem I guess.

The god of mischief immediately looked at Valr from the corner of his eye, when she lied to Thor without batting an eye. He already liked her, and planned to give her leftover food. Somehow he felt what the girl felt. The hardness of keeping the mask on... He greeted as an old friend. Sadness, even depression? Those kind of feelings too, but he played along with Valr. After they finished the dinner Steve stayed in the kitchen with Bucky to do the dishes and everyone went to their room. Except Loki, who kept an eye on her and sneaked up some food for her. He knocked on the door.

-Yes? It's open.

-Thank god it's open, I brought food for you Lady Valr.

-Why? I said I'm not hungry.

But Loki just smirked under his nonexistent mustache and placed the plate on the table. He found her reaction rather funny...

-Honey, you can not lie to the god of mischief.

-Great. Thanks for the food, you can go away and leave me alone. I dont need anyone in my life.

-Really? Then why are you scared to get close and hate being alone?

-I said, you can go away and leave me alone. Are you deaf or what?

-Slow down Lady Valr, there isnt such a reason to behave so mean, but as you wish. I leave you alone now, but I'll keep an eye on you.

-This is what I missed... I dont need baby sitting.

If she could have a good night, she'd have a dream, but the next day's morning she went on a mission with Bucky. So she woke up at 5am, streched a bit, then had her regular morning routine before grabbed the suitcase and went to the kitchen, where Bucky waited for her. The smell of coffe enchanted a smile to her lips. The man with the metal hand greeted with a nod, and offered her a cup of coffe. Luckily he knew how Valr likes the caffeined black-ish liquid.

-I cant believe you are in this mission, I know how much do you hate Russia.

-Yes, but you cant dance with Nat, and noone else can speak fluent russian beside me. Do you have that magic tho?

-Poof. It will last while we're close to each other. Maybe one mile... I didnt need to use this spell until then.

-Wow. You amaze me every time Valr.

-Now let's go, I'm sure Tony already booked a flight to Moscow...

They boarded the plane and sat in silence after they talked through the plan. Bucky, who could never escape fully from the past, started to analyze Valr, but it was hard, even for him.

Bucky never heard Valr talking in Russian so perfectly. She said those words without any accent, and he almost answered in the same language.

-Just one of thies things I can say in Russian.

-Well, it was perfect, but let me talk in Russian. Not because I love it, but 70 years experience from missions is still experience... Oh god, I already miss him...

-If you show feelings towards him, we might be caught. Steve still wanted for the underground, secret organizations in Russia. I know, you're gay for him and he's bi, but we need to play that we're a couple.

As the days passed by, Valr and Bucky grew closer to each other, talked about how they got captured/kidnapped and used to achieve bad goals. Not that fact they were so distant from each other, but they were the two person out of the Avengers... who were the quietest. As the day approached, they practiced a little dancing. You need know that the thing they search for, can be found in a Ball, wich held and organised secretly by Hydra. Extremely evil, right? But they had allies in the shadows and under the sun... When the day has arrived, you could cut the nervousness in the air with butterknife. Now, Valr understood why Bucky doesnt like to take a walk at daytime, unless he did it with Steve, his safe-place.

DP/TAZ anon: hope u had a happy bday! about xover: u had 2.5 the same ideas i had and that's great! XD so 1) of the typical "Danny falls into a portal in the GZ and ends up in [xover'd world here, in this case Faerun]" plot i thought the goal would've been "get home", which he could probably do with the Starblaster in a post-ending setting, so the fic would mostly be smth to orchestrate his fateful meetup with one or all of the IPRE/BoB. i'll send a prompt next before I talk about the others!

DP/TAZ 2) idea’s more TAZ-centric, set in Stolen Century (I feel like this is a TAZ xover go-to), where IPRE stops by Amity. bonus pts if Liches r a thing & Danny mistakes them as villains (gotta love misunderstandings). plot’s ofc “find the Light/save the plane/fight the Hunger”, as u said. more bonus if Dannys genius gets to shine as he hangs with these super chill scientists/pilots/protectors. (bc we dont get enough Danny showing his int. also he loves space & he’d be SO into meeting aliens!)

DP/TAZ 3) the last idea involved kravitz, but I didnt even think about ur idea w/ angus & wow, love it! my idea (actually i had 2) involved krav&danny having an adventure of some sort tho, similar to ur fusion idea where GZ & Astral Plane r connected/the same (& this is in any timeline). mainly Danny has a bounty and is like “but I didnt die??” and Krav’s sympathetic so they work out a deal (maybe either with Raven Queen or Clockwork’s intervention too) & Danny ends up working as a reaper. (1/3)

DP/TAZ 3 (2/3): alternative to Danny meeting Krav & striking up that deal to work as a reaper, I thought: maybe there wasnt a choice. maybe Krav was the Reaper who was there to reap Danny’s soul when he had his accident & thought “it’s just a kid?? he shouldnt be dying now!” and/or is the reason Danny’s alive/has powers. Danny becomes a reaper bc Krav was like “i’ll give u powers to keep u alive but if u’ll have to work for me by catching these souls that escaped the GZ/AP” or something.

DP/TAZ 3 (3/3): either way, it ends up with Danny under Kravs wing/Krav taking on a fatherly/brotherly role (maybe RQ or CW put him up to it), to take responsibility for Danny living after that accident (in the latter idea anyway). Lots of shenanigans ensue–just imagine Krav intimidating the crap out of Danny’s enemies when he finds time to visit Amity bc hes probably too busy to be there all the time. not sure what other plot there’d be, but maybe later Danny can meet the rest of the TAZ cast.

(My response to the initial ask, referenced above) Neat ideas, Anon! You should certainly dabble in writing them out. You can always do a one shot collection if you don’t want to commit to a full fic.

Using the Starblaster to get home is a good idea, given how often it’s dimension-hopped. I’d have trouble writing a fic that took place over an entire year to do something that involved an actual search for the Light–there’s a reason most of my fics take place in the same day/within a few days–but if you can find a way to do that, it’d be fun to see. Lich/ghost misunderstandings fully included, of course. And you’re right: Danny does not have a chance to show off his smarts often enough.

Purely for the sake of hilarity, though, you could have Kravitz’s count of Danny’s deaths being very, very high–as if, every time he transforms into Phantom, he dies. According to the stats Kravitz has. He could show Danny the counter, and Danny could change, and it would go up. If you wanted to temper that hilarity with some seriousness, you could explore the idea of a little more of Danny dying with each transformation–to the point where he might not be able to transform back to human, something Kravitz could point out and Danny had never realized.

(I’m personally less keen on the idea of Kravtiz saving Danny just because he’s a kid, just because he’s young, since I figure, if he’s a reaper, he’s had to go through that already and come to terms with it, but that’s just me. He struck me as rather keen to sticking to the rules before he starting hanging out with Taako (and Lup and Barry). You should definitely take the idea and run with it regardless of my opinion, though! After all, it’d be your fic, not mine, and no one is going to write a fic in exactly the same way even if it’s the same idea.)
