In protecting the earth, we found good pine needles and harsh dried wood along with rocks helpful. When you begin to examine our earth, You find tiny mushrooms and small grass blades, Ornamented by the chatter of ground squirrels. You find our soil is soft and rocky, It does not permit artificial soil topping. Our pine trees are diligent, dedicated and graceful, In either life or death they will always perform their duty of pinetreeness, Equipped with sap and bark. We find our world of wilderness so refreshing. Along with summer's drum, we produce occasional thundershowers, wet and dry messages: We can't miss the point, Since this earth is so bending and open to us, along with the rocks, We are not shy, We are so proud— We can make a wound in a pine tree and it bleeds sap, and courts us, in spite of the setting-sun shadow; They bend so graciously, whether dead or alive. We love our pines and rocks; They are not covered with the superstitious setting-sun chemical manure of this and that. We are so proud of the sky that we produce on our horizon. Our stars twinkle and wink as if they know us; We have no problem of recognition. Our rocks and pine trees speak for us.

MWW Artwork of the Day (9/6/24) George Clausen (British, 1852-1944) Tranquil Sunset - September (1911) Oil on canvas, 50.8 x 61.5 cm. Private Collection
Following the success of "Dusk" (Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne) at the Royal Academy in 1903, Clausen began a series of atmospheric landscapes depicting farm ponds and wayside brooks. "Sunset" (1907, Harris Museum, Preston) develops the theme, and it was followed by the present example in which a fiery sun peeps through trees and bushes, spreading a carpet of vivid greens, pinks and blues across the foreground. The bravura of these works greatly appealed to C.T. Harris of Denmark Hill, the wealthy benefactor of Kings College Hospital.

there's something lyrical about your writing — do you read much poetry? If so, who are your favourite poets? (sorry for the random question I was just curious)
jules im KISSING u btw this is a high compliment for ME.
so i recently read c.t. salazar's headless john the baptist hiking which was so vivid and brutal like... “forgetting is a kind of mercy / eventually even the cemetery / forgets it is a cemetery and looks like an open field" that's insane. he easily became one of my fav poets. ummmm ocean vuong bc i read night sky with exit wounds and i felt every emotion under the sun. there's of course ada limón and natalie diaz—specifically when my brother was an aztec—and like...mary oliver ofc. honestly i need to read more poets to Have more fav poets because i usually just read poems (singular) so here are some of my favs (i have literally inflicted some of these poems on my uni profs because they made me so unwell):
sonnet 17 by pablo neruda
belovéd by yves olade
eating a gyro reminds me that i sometimes believe in god by charnell peters
el salvador by javier zamora
obligations 2 by layli long soldier

Hello again C.T. ☀️
The card I pulled for you is the owl. This card represents good fortune, wealth. It is a good omen that fortune (whether that be metaphorical or physical) is on the way to you. I am not sure if this entirely answers your question but good things are coming your way! Trust the owl energy, perhaps get a piece of jewelry that has an owl on it and wear it to promote this energy coming your way.

"THE BON'S BURGERS PROJECT"
written by: Kant Tenessee
Since the 1960s, Businessmen Felix A. Kranken and Jack Walten have been setting up an all-new entertaintment center in Brighton, MI.
"The Most Advanced Animated Show in Livingston County" is what CyberFun Tech, head company of manufacturing Bon's Burgers' magical entertaintment, said to define this brand new place.
Bon's Burgers is set to open on June 1st, promising quality service and custom shows for families and birthdays.
"It is a miracle in the making" said Susan Woodings, Cyberfun

"A SMALL SETBACK IN AN OTHERWISE BRILLIANT PROJECT" BON'S BURGERS OPENING DELAYED OVER UNKNOWN INCONVENIENCE."
written by: Allison Gunn
The now "famous" Bon's Burgers restaurant, set to open in June 1st, has been now set to open it's doors on June 28th. Public is confused.
It was a disappointing scene of June 1st, when a big crowd stayed hours awaiting the opening of "Livingston County's most advanced entertaintment center". It was about 6 PM on June 1st where Felix A. Kranken, co-founder, said the following words:
"It is a shame to announce that the long-awaited opening of the restaurant will have to be delayed, due to multiple inconveniences in the process of getting everything ready for this event. Many unfortunate news have caused work to be in hiatus and delayed. We're looking foward to open this place on a few weeks from now: July 28th, 10 AM.
We apologize for the inconvenience and for wasting people's time, however, we believe this is just a minor setback in an otherwise brilliant project, stay tuned for more news
———
A minor setback?
A minor setback?
A minor setback? (<- and this same question is repeating like a hundred times)

August 2018
Summary: My Senior Year. Man was I a mess. I was doing my stage management internship while writing my twenty four page research paper. Which, I had no plan for at all that year. So, I decided last minute to just do it on my favorite fairytale and just run with it. My professor had me rewrite the first half of my paper at least ten times that semester before I even got it right. And, by that point I was stressing on whether or not I was going to even be able to finish my paper.

The Guanyin Temple of Spofford Alley
Contemporary accounts place the Guanyin Temple (觀音廟, pinyin: Guanyin miao; canto: “Goon Yum miu”) on Spofford Alley (新呂宋巷  = canto: “sun leuih sun hong”) at the southwest corner of the alley’s intersection with Washington Street.
Tumblr media
Spofford Alley in 1885. (Detail from the Special Committee of the Board of Supervisors of San Francisco, July 1885, from the Cooper Chow collection of the Chinese Historical Society of America.).  If the Guanyin temple had been established above one of the storefronts at the southwest corner of Spofford and Washington Street, the City of San Francisco’s surveyors (whose map only purported to show groundfloor uses), failed to note the temple’s existence.  When the Chinese settled this part of the neighborhood, they replaced its former Spanish residents.  Ross Alley was given the name of Gow Louie Sun Hong, or old Spanish Alley. According to former police chief Jesse B. Cook, “Spofford Alley was another alley from which the Spaniards were crowded out; this was called Sun Louie Sun Hong [新呂宋巷  = “sun leuih sun hong” ], or new Spanish Alley. . .”
According to Yong Chen (in the book Chinese San Francisco, 1850-1943:  A Trans-Pacific Community), the Guanyin Temple “was one of the first Chinese temples in the city.  In 1886 numerous Chinese organizations and stores offered money to renovate it.”
In 1892, Frederic J. Masters, D.D., published an article about his tour of the “fifteen heathen temples” found in San Francisco’s Chinatown.  He described the Guanyin Temple as follows:
“The most popular goddess of the Chinese pantheon is Kwan Yum, the Chinese Notre Dame . . . Her shrine is found up a dingy staircase on the southwest corner of Spofford alley and Washington streets.  In this smoky loft, with its rudely carved image and grimy vestments, one sees nothing of the beautifully chiseled statue, that image of repose that we have often seen in the Ocean Banner Monastery, on the banks of the Pearl River.  . . .” [海幢寺; mando: Hai-chuang si;  canto: “Hoi Duhng See”]
Tumblr media
Landing Place and Entrance to the Temple of Honan, Canton. (Hoi Tong Monastery on Henan Island in Guangzhou, China).  Sketched by R. Varnham, Redrawn by Thomas Allom, Engraved by C.T. Dixon - China, in a Series of Views, Displaying the Scenery, Architecture, and Social Habits, of that Ancient Empire, Vol. III, London: Fisher, Son, & Co., 1843, p. 10.
“In the Spofford-alley temple,” Masters wrote, “are found the shrines of some twenty other gods and goddesses, the principal being the Grand Duke of Peace, the God of Medicine, and Pan Kung, a celebrated Prime minister of the Sung dynasty.  The funniest discovery in this temple was that of Tsai Tin Tai Shing [Qitian dasheng, 齊天大聖; canto: “sai tin dai sing”].  He is a beatified monkey in the image of a man.”
-- from Masters. F. J. (1892). “Pagan Temples in San Francisco.” In C.F. Holder (Ed.). The Californian illustrated magazine: June to November, 1892, vol. 2 (pp. 727-741). San Francisco, Calif.: Californian Pub. Co.
As with other deities, the pioneers of Chinese California brought Guanyin, Guan Yin or Kuan Yin ( 觀音; pinyin: Guānyīn; canto: “Goon Yum”) with them to North America.  The Chinese name Guanyin is short for Guanshiyin, which means “[The One Who] Perceives the Sounds of the World."  She is the Buddhist bodhisattva associated with compassion and the East Asian equivalent of Avalokiteśvara.  Other Eastern religions, including Chinese folk religion, adopted her for veneration.  Jesuit missionaries to China are credited with first referring to her as the "goddess of mercy" or the mercy goddess.
Arnold Genthe’s photograph of the temple’s entrance on Spofford Alley confirmed the continued operation of the Guanyin temple until the destruction of the entire block in 1906.  Unlike other photographers of his day, however, Genthe displayed less interest in the temple’s entrance and, instead, aimed his camera north on Spofford, across Washington Street, and continuing up Church Court or alley.  (Church Court partially bisected the short block of Washington Street that ran west from Ross Alley to Stockton Street).
The image records the camera’s eye following a pedestrian walking north on Spofford in the same direction as the figure seen walking up Church.  Two individuals with hands behind their back read wall notices in the left foreground and right side of the frame.  (The wooden box mounted on the wall to the left of the frame served as a receptacle for waste paper from old notices and ads pasted to the brick exterior.)
The photograph, however, centers on two workers leaning against the Spofford side of the corner building; the nearest figure appears to have a cigarette in hand.  Genthe underexposed his print for his book, Old Chinatown, to create the shadows that insinuate a sinister quality to the life of this small street.  By so doing, Genthe advanced his greater interest in the esthetic premise of Chinatown as a foreign and threatening place.  His choice of camera angle links a temple doorway with the individuals facing out from the building and appearing to look east down Washington Street -- lookouts for potential threats from police or rival tongs to the prostitution or opium den operations.  In contrast, the lighter print from the Library of Congress shown below indicates a wider lens angle and creates a much less dangerous atmosphere.

Hello~ I was wondering if i could get a general reading for 2021 from you? My initials are C.T. I'm a Capricorn sun, Gemini moon & Virgo rising. I must add that academically, i feel very lost since this new semester has started. Just wanted to add that 🙃
Henlo friend =D I love your placements ;n;  seeing as this is ... the 10th.. I wanna say. this will be good up until the 10th of Jan of next year ;)
Before I even like shuffled fully I saw the Hanged Man.  so,  I think something you should try, is taking a step back and see a new perspective.  try something new perhaps or maybe just give yourself some time to breathe c= come to me and vent anytime because I feel you and we all need a safe space lol I ask for three cards and you got six lol.  so let me start with the overall energy here.  from one earth sign, to another,  we both should learn the art of Temperance lolol.  The overall energy here is to relax and be patient.  with the situations you will face, with other people, but most importantly, yourself.  I know it’s easy to get worked up about not having perfection, about not reaching a certain goal, etc etc, but -and I should listen to my own advice-  it does no one any good, not even yourself,  if you work yourself to death.  things do come with time.  and if you’re confused, that’s okay.  your answer will come to you c=
I’ll save the best for last ;)
so the eight of cups and Judgement.  You’re going  to be taking the Hanged Mans advice here and go through a sort of awakening.  You’re going to reevaluate areas of your life and make some changes.  you’re going to be walking away from something -people, ideas, places- that no longer suit you. and that’s good c=  I see you being more diplomatic with people.  Opening up perhaps and making room for new ideas.  a lot of planning is going to take place this year. You’re going to be more clever, more outspoken. You are going to want to try something new.  and you should do it.
then we have the 6 of wands and the 10 of pentacles.  whatever work you do, and whatever skills you grow this year, will be rewarded.  something, someone, some new ideassss are going to come in and you’re going to grow. You’re going to be inspired, you’re going to achieve success this year.  baby steps. I’m hearing just take one step at a time. things will come to you and you will prosper this year c=
I hope this helps c=
you have a beautiful year, but a hard one, coming up. If you ever need anything, feel free to stop by =D

Hi, there. Could i please get a free tarot reading from you? My initials are C. T. I'm a Capricorn sun. A fact about me is that i REALLY, REALLY LOVE Hallmark Channel Christmas movies 😅 My question is: Do you see any romantic love coming into my life either for the rest of year or in 2021?".
Hey C.T.,
I got the Ace of Pentacles for you with 10 of Cups at the back of the deck.
You might meet someone through work or business (or a business/math-related class if you’re still in school), and this connection does have the potential to be “the one.” I also get the sense that this person will be a good influence on you spiritually as well, someone who’s good for your mental health and encourages and inspires you to be a better version of yourself. It’ll be a stable and realistic relationship. You should consider where to go at this point, as there is a window of opportunity to change course. Start realistically working on getting ready for a relationship, so when you get to that point you’re not taken by surprise.
Wish you love, luck, and success!

Sorry to do this but I made up lore
With the rise of misinformation both domestic and foreign, the United States Congress passed a bill to allow for the authorization of Synthetically Engineered Beings who could reliably detect falsehoods and mistruths, as well as somewhat reliably predict the future. These beings are colloquially known as Delphis.
How do they work? It’s a long and complicated process that I haven’t thought of yet, but it absolutely requires magic. Maybe there’s a specific radiation that lies have that they can detect with their methane masks.
Ok, so why is C.T. Kelly here? As one of the countries leading wizards, C.T. Is one of the only few who can actually understand the Delphis riddle like premonitions, but the reason C.T. stays on is for the access to the secret esoteric writings of Jimmy Carter, who developed an entire language and writing system to relay a supposed Fifth Gospel that may teach of Jesus’ role in the Teapot Dome scandal. Also they get to shoot lying Congress people from a canon into the sun, which is what this interrogation is for.
Is this a necessary addition? No. But it’s fun.
List of United States Senators Who Can Recognize Both F1nnster And Bell Delphine By Sight.
