i've had this au idea for a while and have tried writing it but i don't get far into it before abandoning it so ill post it in case someone else wants to write it or take some inspiration from it or what have you. s4ep1/2 au.
merlin uses his magic to just latch arthur's feet to the ground as well as lancelot's when he sees him creeping towards the veil. merlin turns to face them as he walks backwards, revealing his gold eyes and magic to arthur which barely registers in his mind as he understands what merlin's doing and Panics. he's yelling and almost begging and demanding merlin to get back here you idiot. i'm the king you listen to me
and merlin just smiles and is like when have i ever listened to you? and steps into the veil, sacrificing himself and closing it. with his death, his magic releases arthur and lancelot who are just like. what the fuck. and grief-stricken. and angry. anyways they go back to camelot and lancelot stays with gwen and they mourn together. gwaine is. a wreck. the knights are all grieving. arthur is just. gone. like. he closes himself in his chambers for like two weeks. he doesn't sleep, he doesn't eat, he can barely function. anyways merlin watches him from the veil as a spirit, he watches all of them and is a little guilty about causing them so much grief and heart ache but he rather them be sad and alive than dead so he doesn't regret it that much
magic lore i made up - since merlin gave his life in an exchange, he gets to remain conscious and aware within the veil. the other spirits that roam around are focused on whatever's keeping them there (and keeping them from moving on to the afterlife). there's a lot of sorcerers in camelot who are angry and crying because they were executed by uther - their heads cut off, their bodies charred, or their necks bent at odd angles. they wander around calling for justice. anyways ygraine's life was also taken in an exchange so what i'm saying is ygraine and merlin best friends arc.
they both watch over arthur with worry and then one day arthur just storms out of his chambers and down to the library and buries himself in books, searching desperately for a way to bring merlin back. with how little he's eating and sleeping, arthur ends up passing out and has a nightmare. merlin reaches out on instinct wishing to comfort him and ends up getting pulled into his dreams, only with his intention being to comfort, his arrival shifts the dream from a nightmare into something a lot more pleasant - merlin and arthur together and alive and...courting? it looks like? arthur leans in to kiss him but the dream dissipates right before their lips meet.
anyways, that happens a few times with a few different dreams as arthur searches for a way to open the veil again and bring merlin back. i have two different endings for this though. one is, since merlin is emrys and immortal, after some time the cailleach comes back and is like "immortal asshole. i took some of your eternal life force but you're still immortal but the veil is still sealed. i can't keep someone who still has all this life. get out." and just pushes him out of the veil and into his body again. OR arthur finds a way to bargain with the cailleach and sees his mother with merlin and bada bing bada boom (i forgot to add that arthur at some point finds out about his uncles treachery lmao) trades agravaine's life for ygraine's and then his father's (he can't stand to see his father wasting away and sees this peaceful death as mercy) for merlin's. and he gets his mom and bf best friend manservant back.
after everything settles down, arthur finally has time to focus on merlin's magic but with the trauma of almost losing him, he finds he really can't care about it and just repeals the ban to keep from even thinking about executing him so merlin will never be in danger again. ygraine is also happy about this bc i hc she had a little bit of magic. she learned from her gf nimueh. bonus hc bc i feel like it - ygraine and uther were married and loved each other, yes, but ygraine took nimueh as her consort and uther took balinor as his consort.
okay thats all. if anyone actually writes this or anything similar to it, it'd love to read it. pls tag me or dm me <3

Attempt 2 at tagging you and posting the reading with it(after too many attempts at answering your ask) hope this works.
Edit, after this finally posted: I cannot believe that I could not post because if a single gif... took it out and it posted immediately. Why is tumblr so...
Thank you for participating in my game🤍 and thank you for waiting.
As you chose to keep your chart private but the reading public, I want to avoid mentioning your placements or chart. If you do want more detailed explanations as to why I chose these goddesses, you can message me. Hope this is informative and substantial regardless🤍
Your divine archetype:
👑The wise conqueror_ power of cunning and discrimination🗡🐍
Your Goddesses:
The Morrígan_ Irish Goddess of war, battle, fate, sovereignty and death.
She was said to watch soldiers as a crow, or appear washing the armor of a warrior about to fall.
She inspires terror in the enemy and courage in her followers.

Morrígan is widely considered to be a triple goddess, containing three separates_ Badb, Macha and Nemain within her. The bames and identities of those three vary, depending on which kind of religion(or how old of a religion) is in question, but the above listing might be the most common one.
Without mentioning placements here, there is a strong theme of ruling and dominion in your chart_ your moon(and atmakaraka), your ascendant, your ketu and your rahu conjunct mercury nakshatras are all associated with it. Sovereighnty goddesses are not uncommon in Celtic mythology, but Morrígan in partcular is about conquering and bravery in battle. She's also the goddess who has to get her way, one way or another, and is associated with inevitability.
There's a strory of her with a mighty hero named Chu Chulainn.
She met him while he was defending Ulster from Queen Maeve. She fell in love with him and tried to seduce him before battle, but he refused.
Morrígan then took the form of an eel, tripping him in a fjord. The hero struck her, wounding her briefly.
Next, she transformed into a wolf, driving cattle towards him, but he used his slingshot to blind her in one eye.
After that, Morrígan became a cow, leading a stampede. Chu Chulainn hit her with a stone, breaking her leg and weakening her enough for her to retreat.

After the battle, Chu Chulainn came across an old woman, not noticing she had an injured leg and a blind eye because of his weariness.
She offered him milk, which he took, and blessed the old woman.
Unknowingly, he healed Morrígan's injuries and she regained her strength.
Before his final battle, he was an old woman scrubbing bloodied armor.
When he was mortally wounded, he tied himself to a boulder to intimidate his enemies. A crow landed on him, and he passed away.

As much as your chart has associations with strength, conquering, power and dominion, it's not a particularly direct or overt aggression that is influencing that. The power of subtlety and details is the force that nontheless still grants that power. Moreover, multiple placements in your charts indicate bravery. There's also the house in which your Rahu and Mercury sit(and their nakshatra) that points towards the destiny of a ruler.
A theme that is present in your chart is that of healing, which at first glance might contrast with all that powerful energy, but a ruler needs wisdom to choose subtlety when needed and knowledge to apply it. Your Ketu and Sun placements in particular refer to that.
Sirona_ Gaulish goddess of healing, spring waters, associated with snakes, snake eggs and stars. Sirona's healing power is connected to water and its cleansing properties. She was worshipped among Gallo-Celtic tribes and in Roman Britain. She was also recognized aa goddess of abundance, carrying the horn of plenty in some of her depictions.

She's a goddess with numerous associations and while that makes her similar to vatious other deities, it also makes her distinct and unique. Her cult was primarily centers around springs, baths, healing waters, wells, flowing and reserved water. Her name has a similar meaning to "the great star". Despite this, she was also asociated with the Sun. Either way, the connection to water, serpents, snake eggs and healing is consistent.
Most think that the star she represents is the evening/morning star (Venus).

Cailleach_ Celtic Goddess of the winter, nature's cycles, death and transformation, "the divine hag" who has control over weather. Her name means "old woman" in old Gaelic and it comes from the word Caillech, a word meaning "the veiled one".
Her skin was said to be grey or pale blue, her teeth_ red, wearing clothes adorned with sculls. She was believed to have had a hand in shaping the landscape.
Cailleach's symbols are an owl, a cauldron, a staff. She represents the "winter" stage in the cycle of life, setting the foundation for renewal.

According to a Celtic myth, Cailleach was the one who formed the world. First, she created the vast waters. Then, she shaped the land by throwing stones and boulders from her apron, that's how valleys and mountains came to be. Next she planted the seeds that would grow into various plants and trees. After that she breathed life into animals. Lastly, she formed the humans out of clay and breathed life into them.
This myth makes her associated with the feminine power of creation and destruction, of being the force that's in control of that cycle.
There are a few major and minor placements in your chart that form an overall energy that can be resonant to this goddess. The archetype of the winter goddesses, in general, might be of interest to you.
European winter goddesses were usually represented as scary hag figures who often had association with death, but they also could take the form of a beautiful young woman. That is not necessarily the case with Cailleach, but with Alpine goddesses Berchta(or Perchta) and Holda(or Frau Holle) it is.
They were said to love cleanliness and tidyness, bringing to mind the sometimes strict, sometimes loving grandmother figures.
In case you want an explanation on why I brought up this archetype you can dm me.
I'd advise to look more into these goddesses yourself, as this is just an overview. If you want to research others, you can look into goddesses of rulership, sovereignty, bravery, war, wisdom, healing, transformation and autonomy.
...
This is it, hope you find this accurate
Please, leave a feedback in the asks after reading💕 it does not have to be long at all, just honest, and you can dm me if you have questions, and if you want to.

A favorite piece of folklore?
(I also do not want to work)
I'll pick a favorite of the ones that come to mind now: accidental Irish butter burgling!
Irish folk tales are scattered with stories of some innocent person (often a priest) going about their business. Over the wall, around the corner, or from behind a tree, they hear an old witch (cailleach) in the process of stealing milk or butter with magic. Milk and butter were huge sources of income, so it's less that the old witch was craving a fine dollop for her toast, and more that she was trying to make bank.

So our bystander hears her chanting, "Come all to me, all butter to me, come all to me..." (an t-im go léir chugam). Now, with no idea what she was on about, our bystander says something like, "Oh sure, and half to me too lady..." In doing so, they end up with a bunch of stolen dairy product they didn't intend to take, and with a befuddled and pissed off witch in the vicinity. To prevent a cailleach or neighbor from stealing your butter, put protections around your cows, churn, and cowshed, don't lend butter on May Day/Bealtaine, and don't light your fire until late afternoon on Bealtaine. Burn off any butter witches that do get into your churn with a bit of heat or iron from the fire and a prayer.

Eibhlín Ní Ghuinníola

There are several stories in the Irish folklore record of a healing woman called Eibhlín Ní Ghuinníola. One of the things said about her was that she had a fairy lover who was seen with her when she was out gathering herbs.
In a commentary on the stories, Gearóid Ó Crualaoich says:
" … that a 'fairy lover' , a leannán sí was often seen with Eibhlín Ní Ghuinníola as she gathered plants. The Saol Sí, the fairy realm, is the ancestral cultural embodiment of that imaginative mythological and spiritual otherworld lying beyond the 'normal' ranges of human perception. It can, on occasion, manifest itself in figures like the leannán sí, as well as the Cailleach-goddess, or in the activities - and in the narrative of the activities - of those women who fulfilled the social roles of wise healer, keening-woman or country midwife. Such women, acting decisively in the face of affliction and life crisis, draw their autonomy and legitimacy from the tradition and the traditional narratives of the Cailleach-goddess and in the narratives of former occupiers of their own roles such as Eibhlín Ní Ghuinníola".

Propaganda!

In Gaelic (Irish, Scottish and Manx) myth, the Cailleach is a divine hag and ancestor, associated with the creation of the landscape and with the weather, especially storms and winter. The word literally means 'old woman, hag', and is found with this meaning in modern Irish and Scottish Gaelic, and has been applied to numerous mythological and folkloric figures in Ireland, Scotland, and the Isle of Man. In modern Irish folklore studies, she is sometimes known as The Hag of Beara, while in Scotland she is known as Beira, Queen of Winter.
Perelandra is the name of Venus in C.S. Lewis's Space Trilogy novels. No further propaganda was submitted.

Ancient Ballachulish Goddess from Scotland.
Ballachulish is a small seaside village in the Scottish Highlands where this figure known as the Ballachulish Goddess was found. She is now in the National Museum in Edinburgh.
She is a figure carved from a single alder tree with stones for eyes and was dug up from the peat in Ballachulish and found with a stand of woven branches like the ones behind her. She may have been the Cailleach as this mountain was near where she stood looking out to the straits of Loch Linnhe.

Hello dear 🥰🤗 I would like to participate in
💠Goddess essence game💠.

Thankyou in advance💖🎀
Hello, thank you so much for participating🤍
Your divine archetype:
❄🐇The embodyment of cycles of nature, from hungry feminine to renewal and fertility 🦢🌱
Your goddesses:
So firstly I want to say that all these goddesses and their archetypes(all of which somehow overlap with most others) are pretty important to you. The archetype I wrote just above was hard to come up with and at first you might not understand what I mean by that or why it was hard to come up with a shortened, specific description, but I hope you will, after reading the explanations. Multiple goddesses I am going to talk about can be easily coorelated to nakshatras that you don't even have but they also fit your overall chart. But beyond anything, trust your own judgement, and feel free to research.
Berchta/Perchta_ Alpine goddess of winter, silent nurturing, hag goddess but also a motherly supporter.
Jyeshta_ your moon (also your atmakaraka) nakshatra is associated with infertility and dryness, but also to protection, courage and eventual victory. In feminines/females, it's the nakshatra of grandmothers and their wisdom.
Berchta has been demonized as a scary entity, especially for children, after Christianity spread in Europe. Despite that image she's still a motherly, protective, feminine presence that used to be recognized as a protector of children specifically.

So Jyeshta does coorelate to winter goddesses but Hasta nakshatra is associated with the feminine in her unresponsive state, not unlike Jyeshta. It represents the cycles of nature, the harvest and the barren land, the interplay between fall, winter and spring, between death and renewal. Also, Berchta's name comes from the birch tree_ an evergreen tree that survives the winter. Evergreens can be coorelated to Jyeshta.
While the whole chart is important, your big three_ sun, moon and ascendant, and their influence are enhanced in your case, all in different ways. The most important placement_ moon is conjunct ketu in the same nakshatra_ Jyeshta. Ketu is also a very significant placement and uniquely so. Together with the moon it represents the comfort zone a person in a chart, which in your case is more specific and amplified. The interesting thing is that you might have a love-hate relationship with that part of yourself, because Moon is debilitated in Scorpio, particularly in Anuradha nakshatra, but Ketu is exalted in Jyeshta.
Your Hasta ascendant determines your chart ruler, which is Mercury(Virgo rising), and in your case it is also in Hasta, which is its exaltation nakshatra.
Your Sun_ the natural atmakaraka(soul significator/planet) is in Purva Phalguni, a Leo nakshatra, which is its natural sign, and at the highest degree, making it your actual atmakaraka.
So all of these placements are enhanced in unique ways.

Going back to Berchta, the themes of winter, cycles of death and rebirth that are tied with her connect to Jyeshta(Jyeshta is in Scorpio, sign of the 8th house of death and transformation) and Hasta.
The nurturing aspect of Berchta and the birch tree association can be coorelated to Purva Phalguni_ a Venusian nakshatra of ease, enjoyment and procreation. Birches and its coorelated rune in Germanic people has long been associated with quiet nurturing and growth, along with feminine pleasure.
You also have Mars in Purva Phalguni with the Sun and they're in your 12th house_ the house of isolation and all things hidden(fitting with the winter, quiet/silent themes), also of dispersion and bed pleasures. You have Venus in Swati, Libra, which enhances the feminine and nurturing aspect. You also have exalted Rahu in Rohini(Taurus) which, again, adds to the feminine and nurturimg, Venusian quality. The fact that it's your Rahu, so it's connected to your Ketu and Moon in Jyeshta makes it an interesting interplay within you, once again emphasizing the hungry and barren/feminine and fertile nature of the feminine and of the nature itself.
A goddess that is widely considered to be similar to her is Holda or Frau Holle. Some say she's her predecessor(that Berchta and her worship came from the existence and worship of Holda). You might like to look into her so I thought I'd mention her.
Sidenote: to clarify, I should state that the nakshatra I would associate with Berchta amd Holda would be Bharani. Berchta's name means "the bearer" and she's said to wear three keys on her belt, likely representing the cycle of birth/death/rebirth or the maiden/mother/crone archetypes of the female. I think that it could also represent the three fates found in many mythologies. You do have a nakshatra that has thematic similarities to Bharani_ Hasta, and another Venusian nakshatra_ Purva Phalguni. Jyeshta shares themes of death and rebirth with it so your chart overall does seem fitting.

Some interesting things about Berchta: she was said to wear her long, black hair in braids on the sides of her head, her gown was said to be long and white. The latter part might be reason why people refer to her as "the white lady" or "the lady in white". Another image of her is the goddess as a crone in a discheveled dress. She was said to be a shapeshifter_ related to Mercury(Jyeshta's lord). She has been described as "goose-footed", also as taking the form of a swan(geese were used as guard dogs in Medieval times, so, she has been recognized as the protector of the wildlife in a sense), called "guardian of beasts", she's associated with:
Birch, holly, flax, mayflower and wild berries.
Geese, swans, mountain goats, crickets, owls and foxes are her animal coorelations. Some include other Alpine animals such as the ibex, weasel, marmot, stork.
She's said to live in the mountains, or in a cottage surrounded by gardens that are a home to lost souls.
She is associated with "the wild hunt"_ a procession of witches, spirits and demons riding through the skies and collecting the souls of the dead.
Anyways, there are other goddesses I should talk about.
Athena_ Greek goddess of wisdom, (military/battle) strategy and architecture.
So this is the goddess that is directly associated with Jyeshta. They share the symbol of the owl. Both are associated with maturity, strategy(especially battle strategies or just tactical warfare in general). Jyeshta is the nakshatra that conquers and closes out the second part of nakshatras representing the civilization.

I should say that Hasta is also associated with feminine smarts in terms of worldly wisdom and even encouragement of females towards independence.
Speaking of Hasta, goddesses often associated with it are Egyptian Isis, and Greek Perspehone. While Hasta is not the whole of your chart it is an important part of it. Just mentioning them to help in case you wanna research.
Cailleach_ Celtic winter goddess from Scotland Ireland and Isle of Man. I won't explain in detail why I chose her anymore but I think you'll understand anyways. She's a veiled(Hasta) hag goddess of winter(Jyeshta). She was said to be Cailleach for only half a year, after that she transformed into Brigid_ a Celtic goddess I associate with Krittika(a nakshatra mostly in Taurus_ Scorpios's opposite sign). You also have that theme of going from winter to renewal and fertility interplay and not only with Scorpio Ketu and Taurus rahu, both of which are exalted. She's also a shapeshifter and protector of wild animals. You should research her for additional info.

One more goddess I'm going to mention is Morgan le Fay along with her another version_ The Morrigan, a triple goddess of war, death, fate, crows and ravens. I have a post specifically about her archetype and how she relates to Mercurial Jyeshta but also the snake yonis in Taurus. Again, research more by yourself if you want to know more.
...
This is it. Turned out longer but I can't help myself when I want to explain I hope this is also nice to read and beautiful to you and not just a collection of facts and analysis.
Please leave a feedback after reading💕

Uhhh wtf I finally just met Cailleach?!?!?! (I couldn’t sleep, and Loki basically was like yep, let’s go, we’re doing this) Completely out of nowhere. But I have been contemplating on when to officially reach out to her, I just didn’t expect it to be tonight/this morning!
She wants to work with me on my feelings of inadequacy/ feeling burdensome/ etc. No matter how sweet Loki is and no matter how often he reminds me that I’m worthy of love, I just can’t seem to accept it. Ever. So I’m guessing he figures I need some tough love from the Crone 😆
And holy shit? (upg) She is fucking. hilarious. I did not expect that.
And her personality honestly reminds me of Caribbean abuelas. She’s warm, but she says it like it is and takes no shit. I want her to adopt me istg.
Sorry I’m rambling but gods I’m just on cloud nine and so excited about her 🤩
Hail Loki, God of Gifts, for this truly was one 🥹

A time for preparation and making plans, as the sun starts to return and the days grow longer.
Imbolc is the time when Cailleach, the divine hag who rules over the weather, gathers her firewood for the remainder of winter. If she intends for the winter to be cold and long, she'll ensure the day of Imbolc is bright and dry so she can gather more firewood. A dreary Imbolc indicates a sooner return of spring and milder weather.
It's a good time to think about the year ahead, and make changes that allow good things to happen.
