Warnings: death, injuries, angst, comfort, yo'kai/mutant!reader, this is pretty long...

A/N: I'm only doing one turtle because I wasn't really sure how to do the others without sounding redundant. Reader is either yo'kai or a mutant due to the fact that when they unlocked their ninpo, NYC was in the orb. I skip quite a bit of what happens, but this is still pretty long.

You had gone to the lair because you hadn't heard from your boyfriend all day. You hadn't seen him since the day before the Battle Nexus Big Mama held in New York.

"Raph?" You call, walking through the demolished lair. "Raphael!?"

Something explodes and you are buried under rubble. You can't move, even breathing hurts due to the dust.

"Gram Gram!" You hear Leo yell.

"No! The Hamato must live on!" Raph tells him. You wanted to yell for him. You were trapped, you needed him. You hear a lot of commotion before hearing someone yell about the Turtle Tank.

"For the boys." Draxum sighs.

"For our boys." Splinter corrects.

You hear fighting. Still trapped under the rock. Everything stopped soon after. You heard the Foot Clan play a video.

"I've got the Empyrean." Draxum grunts.

"Draxum! I cannot believe you are doing this you turned out..." Splinter groans.

"You knew this day was coming, rat." You could hear Draxum's evil smile. "He hates me. I hate him. It's kind of our thing and now I win."

"Where is the Empyrian?" Shredder asks.

"Down there in the Hidden City."

They left. You were still trapped. There was no sign of help. You didn't know how long you were there before you heard someone run in. You heard someone else moaning in pain.

"Guys, I'm coming!" You hear April call. Rubble starts moving somewhere nearby. "Karai!"

"Stop, we don't have much time..." Karai answers.

"No no. I gotta help you, take you to a hospital..."

"I will not be able to finish this journey. Now you must teach the family..."

"How can I? I'm not... I'm not one of you!"

"Oh my child... You have always been one of us..."

You see a bright green light and you felt power.

"April!" You cough. "April."

"Oh my god!" You feel rubble sliding off you. "Y/N! What... Does Raph know you're here?"

"April..." You gasp, you felt like you were drifting.

"No... Oh, please. Hang on!" You see tears slowly fall down April's face. "I'll get you to the Hidden City and we can get you some help, okay?"

April pulled you out of the rubble and helps you stand. You both limp out of the lair and you stumble. You start to fall, but April catches you and she lays you down.

"You're not going to make it, are you?" April sniffs. You shake your head, trying to get your final thoughts in order. She presses her forehead to yours. "I'm so sorry, y/n."

"It's not your fault." You breathe. "Please... Tell Raph..."

You couldn't finish, tears of your own falling. You couldn't think, couldn't speak. Still April nodded and held you.

"I'll tell him..." Her voice breaks as you finally drift away. "I'm so sorry, y/n... You deserve so much better."

"Guys! Guys guys guys guys guys!" April calls, running up to the turtles. They were in the woods with Todd.

"April?" Leo asks.

"Oh my gosh! You won't believe what happened." April tells them. "I went to the lair which is totally destroyed and found Karai and she turned into light and now I hear her voice inside my head!"

"Wanna say that one more time?" Donnie sighs.

"Karai. She did a Hamato glowy light thing and now I think she lives inside of me?" April repeats, the boys hug her.

"Gram Gram's alive?" Leo smiles.

"Gram gram, it's Mikey I miss you!" Mikey yells into April's ear.

"Gram gram would like you to let go and never do that again." April shoves Mikey away.

"Okay new plan. Gram gram tells April to tell us what to do. Please instruct us April Gram Gram sensei." Raph decides.

"She wants me to teach you the art of pinpo—" She hums.

"Ninpo." Donnie corrects. They continue to discuss the plan and what happened at the lair.

"Hey, Raph... Can I talk to you, privately?" April mumbles to him. Raph nods and they walk away from the group. "Something else happened at the lair..."

"What?" Raphael questions.

"Y/N was in the lair when it was demolished..." April begins, looking at the ground, tears starting to fall again. "They didn't make it... They wanted me to tell you um... They love you and they believe in you."

Raph didn't answer. He walked away, into the forrest.

"Is everything okay?" Mikey asks, they all watched Raph disappear.

"Y/N's dead..." April chokes. The other boys run after Raph. They find him sitting, back against a tree, crying. His brothers kneel next to him and wrap their arms around their eldest brother, tears also falling from their eyes.

"I'm so sorry, Raph..." Leo mutters.

Slowly, Raph leans backwards, falling to the cliff. "Anatawa Hitorijanai.". Realizing this, his brothers jump after him, screaming at the top of their lungs. "RAAAAAAAAAPHHHHHH!"

Their markings begin to glow in the gorgeous light and their Hamato sign appears on their chest. Their clothing becoming black as night. Their bandana tails grew.

"Saving like a Boss!"

Leo, Mikey, and Donnie form a hand, Raph grabs it hand, and joins in the transformation. They land in the water, where April was watching. The turtles have gotten their true selves back.

"Hey Shredhead! We heard you were looking for some Hamato energy. Guys?" Raphael grins, turning to Leo and Mikey.

"Oh I think I got some for him." Leo chuckles, his trowels transforming into katanas.

"That's right it's us and we've had a bit of an upgrade." April smiles.

"Big time!" Mikey cheers, his rope transforming into num-chuks, Donnie's hoe turns into a bo staff.

"And this time around...." Donnie smirks.

"We won't lose." Raph chuckles, his hand rakes becoming sais. A drill erupts from behind them, explosions flood the sky.

"My drill is out of beta!" Donnie yells.

"Donnie nice. Now put it in action." Raph laughs.

"I did. It's just for hero poses." Donnie answers.

"Respect!" Leo applauds, leaning over Raphael's shoulder.

The fight begins, the boys and April flying around Shredder. Cassandra watches Splinter wither away. She knew she had to save him and eventually she has a change of heart. Casey attacks Shredder. She shatters one of the chains, the boys run to help Splinter. They join their mystic powers.

"Oh no it is not enough. I have failed." Splinter frowns.

"No dad we can do this. You may not have taught us everything."

"But you did teach us the most important thing."

"Be there for each other."

"Remember what your mom said to you that day at the park. You are not alone!"

"My sons I..." Splinter sniffs.

"Yoshi…" A woman appears, floating in front of them.

"Mom? You're here." Splinter smiles sadly.

"I have always been here."

More Hamato ancestors appear, grabbing the shaft of the spear. "We all have."

Raph locks eyes with you. He smiles wistfully, tears threatening to spill. The others see you too, all of them smile softly.

"Hot…" Yoshi's mom began.

"SOUUUUUUUUP!!!!!!" Everyone calls. The spear shatters the armour. Shredder is destroyed once and for all and Oroku Saki returns. Karai leaves April's body and hugs her father for the first time in 500 years.

"My daughter…" He breaths.

"Thank you my young Hamatos. We will always be with you." Karai tells the turtles.

Karai, her father and all of the ancestors bow to the Turtles and their family. With this, all the Hamato spirits fade away into the night. You stay. Raph rushes forward and hugs you.

"I'm sorry..." He sobs, pulling away to look at you. You hold his face in your hands. "I should've been there for you."

"I will always be with you, Raph..." You tell him, he leans into your touch. "I'll always love you."

Mikey has a shit ton of nicknames : Mikey, Mike, Mikey Mike (separate from the two first), Mikester, Painty, Sticker boi, Angel, Angelo Raph doesn't have much, just the occasional : Anger machine, Pointy, Phael, Pha. Meets is Meets, they did try one : Meaty. It did not stick. Leo is : General, Chief, Flake (snowflake that was shorten), Sensei (mocking), Boss, Braincell boy (when he's alone with mikey), Narnar, Nardo. Donnie is : Techy, Natello, Tel, Tello, Explosion man, Disaster boy, problem, Don, D April is : Neil, Champ, Winwin, Fluff. Casey doesn't have any yet, he's too recent, but they do throw some around from time to time : JJ, Deok-Su (not really a nickname jgirejger), Edgy Boy, Emo, Splits, Case. Splinter : Dad, Daddyo, Papa, Oto-san, Splinty (only from April), Mr. Splinter sir, Yoshi

So season 1 is all about the Kraang's menace, with a sideline of Shredder but not much, just enough to distract them a little from the Kraangs before they wipe out the city Now Season 1 also has to introduce the mutanimals, metalhead (maybe same episode ?), April gets a gun and a role in the team (could get coupled with a b plot), Karai becomes Shredder (over several episodes) and some daily life eps and fillers because MY GOD do I miss some good fillers in nowadays shows sometimes Like yes !!! I love plot !!! But please let me breathe a little S1 ep 1 would be the pilot, idk if 20 or 40 minutes long, probably in between these two, since it has to introduce : the turtle family, April, Casey, their relationships (should be done in tje first few minutes for april and turtle family), the kraang threat, and the entire "let's sneak out and beat down a random thief that will happen to be casey" While maybe setting up in tje background some of the future eps Like let's push as much foreshadowing in the first ep as possible so it ties back nicely to the rest of the show

2nd ep I would feel like should be about the turtles figuring out how to move around, maybe beat down some people and learn how to use their new environment while discovering the city. Could have a b plot of Casey actually formally meeting them. 3rd ep they discover the kraang menace during patrol, and instead of being all like "mmmh =-= what's going here... Sound sketchy znd weird let's learn as much as possible", freak out and retreat to the lair and just panic explains everything to Splinter, Casey and April. They don't believe them. #2012 mikey moment but with the whole team. The ep would go the turtles proving what they saw, Casey becoming part of the patrol team and Donnie getting his hands on some kraang tech (not much), setting up the soon to be metalhead ep 4th ep they investigate more what the fuck are the weird alien thingies doing. They infiltrate one of their base and find out absolutely nothing because none of the aliens speak english. So nothing is written in english. They do take a shit ton of pictures in hope to decipher it later. B plot, while team A is infiltrating the base, Team B is on lookout and they run into Baxter Stockman. That's when Buckle is born and also they find out what the hell the green thing was.

5th ep, in the background Donnie has just finished making Shelldon and presents him to the team. He doesn't mention it but we can see him making meets. It's a chill ep, just some family shenanigans with the pets. Casey meets Buckle. Raph and Leo want to try to make Shelldon a battle drone while Donnie and Mikey are very much against it. April and Splinter are looking for Ice cream kitty that disappeared and they're trying to hide it from mikey. 6th ep, the trio Donnie, Casey and April get some development, again a chill ep, smth like either everyone else got sick and they're looking for a cure or uhhh casey busted some of Metalhead's compunds and is trying to help Donnie get them back and April tags along, or donnie is missing pieces to continue Meets and Casey and April take him in the city to find some pieces... Smth along these 7th ep, Mikey is the one that finally figured out how to read the kraang's writing. I don't know how yet but he did. They find out about their obsession with imagination, and their plan to get it with the mutagene (which failed) and their brand new plan to directly extract it from people but whoops it kills them (work in progress). They're like "well wow that massively suck and it's on a huge scale how about we don't try doing this by ourselves" znd they try to warn the human authorities. Humans being humans, they don't believe them but now knows about their existence (which well they kinda did before because of rumors but now they know 100% (since in the colorcoded universe people knows actually mutants are a thing, and there are people that arz pro-mutants and people that are against mutants))

8th ep they play it low and stay in the lair instead of going on patrol, nice filler ep just fluffy family time, b plot we meet the mutanimals.

9th ep, Metalhead ep ! It's them !!! It's the boi (genderless) !!!! So Donnie presents them to his brothers, saying it's an IA blah blah blah, then they watch a movie where it's like "ooooooh evil IA they all realize humans sucks actually and kills them all" which makes them uncomfortable with Metalhead (who is not on), cue the "let's deactivate them" Meets yeeting thz fuck out to the mutanimals and the turtles meeting thz mutanimals and adopting meets

no actually when Leo lose his braincells, Meets is the second Leo guihgeru it's one of the thing about his brothers Donnie coded in the original program before the IA evolved

meets as soon as Leo is alone with Mikey : My time has come

i also want to slip in bonus shorts like 10 minutes long, of family shenanigans in the present and when they were young, including April and Casey as kids

like there's this part where you know how they aren't allowed to go too far in the lair ?

At some point when they were 10~11, they went anyway like "i ain't scared ):<" and then they kinda convinced themselves the place was haunted and never went back and when as teens casey asks about it they're like "bro no this place is haunted D:" i feel like it could be a fun ep ghioregheuri just 10 mins short, maybe an halloween special

Casey: "have you ever come back there since then?" Them: "lol no that place is scary af"

casey : "you. are fighting aliens like. every day" Them : "yeah but you don't get it this place is haunted"

it's it's a halloween special there would probably need to be a sort of threat, even if it's just their imagination, what did they think they saw? Fdhdf

i'm not sure yet but imagine it was just splinter messing with them to make sure they never go back he saw them preparing to sneak and go in and he followed them and scared them

maybe it could also JUST be them getting spooked it's easy to get spooked when you're 10, in a place dark you don't know a bit abandonned

THEY JUST GET REALLY SCARED AND DECIDE "AH HELL NAH"

i'm thinking April would be with them or go a bit after them (so like when they were young), going "yeah well I'm not scared >:)" but she'd be all alone in a dark place abandonned with rumors of it being haunted and Splinter wouldn't even intervene

but if casey had to go, first he'd be much older than they were, since they're 16, the others would still refuse to go, and Splinter would be like "welp i guess the secret is up now" but Casey would go in, alone with the lamp and come out like 10 minutes later screaming for his life because turns out the place is actually haunted

Meets, who's room is the closest to the not-allowed part : sweats intensifies

They're also a teen and they just learned this is in fact haunted and they are not one to dispute their brothers words "you say it's haunted ? that's factually impossible however every metal bones in my body trusts you and now i'm scared"

In the 10th ep, April finally learns about the Kraang's plan (which they kept from her), and HEAVILY insists to help them. They're hesitant about it but Leo straight up refuses, and she gets upset. Later during patrol with jis bros and Casey they talk about it and they're like "mate you should give her a chance, you gave Casey a chance and look at him now" and Leo is like ): but what if she gets hurt,,, she can't fight ! April (who had been following them without them noticing (which is already a proof she's skilled)) is like ):< well i'm gonna show him. They run into the Kraang and start a battle and April sees it as a chance to prove herself. She tries to sneak and grab one of the Kraang's gun but gets spotted and saved by Leo who gives her a VERY dirty look before finishing the battle. Once it's done he stomps over and they get into a yelling match (yey), until April convinces him to give her a real chance, using the skills she has (namely, a good shooter since when she was very little and her parents were still together, her mom wanted her to be able to fend for herself and she was given daily lesson for around 8 years. She only recently had to stop). She succeeds the test and Leo, still very not happy about it, "accepts" her in the team. After that we see his opinion improves about her position in the team during the episodes, as a background thing. She gets her own donnie made gun in the beginning of the next ep, too :)

Ep 11, chill ep, maybe a special for a holiday or smth, just a breather ajdcjzvd Ep 12, introduction of the Foot as a problem (until then there were some bits and pieces of Karai's and Saki's story here and there). The kids find Saki's corpse on patrol and recognizes him from Splinter's pictures and bring him back home. Yada yada grief, he gets a tomb, they realized something bad happened and investigate the Foot. Donnie and Raph are against distracting themselves from the KRAANG, but the other disagrees. Donnie and Raph don't go in the first place but then have tp rescue the others that got captured (and got a bunch of infos with it). They learn that the Foot went bad, and that there's a new leader the "Shredder". They learn they plan on dominating the city and invade bits by bits the world so the Foot rules over everything, as it should. Donnie and Raph acknowledges it's a problem and agrees to help as long as their main priority is the Kraangs (modifié) Ep 13, chill ep, Mikey centered with a b plot involving Meets introducing the turtle family to their sign language because they had grown tired of writing in a notebook.

when meets officially becomes part of the family, there's an awkward amount of time where he doesn't know what to say instead of "my sons" cue a lot of laughters from his kids when he calls them "my spawns" "my kins" "my beloveds" "my children" etc He ends up settling on "my turtles" Meets really hates being reminded THEY'RE a bot so even Splinter calls THEM Meets even tho he calls his other kids their full names

do you think Meets ever asks Donnie for upgrades ?

Well there is some moments where they do but usually they're content with what they have It's like, they ask when it's smth that will help them (silent flying thing to be discreet), not just going up to him like "eyyy upgrade my dude ?"

I feel like Mikey would try to get them to get more cool upgrades zgdvf, he'd be like "dude, you should ask Donnie for super fast rocket boosters, or an ice cream machine, heck yea, that'd be awesome!" xD

Oh he probably would XD Meets would just politely say no tho fhzvdjzcdh If Leo was the robot one, however, he'd probably end up with a shit ton of useless upgrades until donnie goes "okay that's enough"

imagine Casey's alter ego dies on screen (foreshadow his dad dies saving him) and they all turn to him and then collectively decide to stop watching for now

Casey: "Aw, that was my favorite character, how could they do that :'((??" Donnie: "I always thought they looked a lot like you, It's almost like this character was a reflection of you as a person and this was a sort of prophetic warning lmao" Casey: Casey: "How about we never watch this show again"

Donnie after Mikey asks if it's a reboot : "Well Mikey, since you asked so nicely, I will tell you that if presented as a reboot, it is not ! In fact, while keeping the same story and continuing the plot of the previous 12 seasons, they changed the designs that were very flawed and had numerous problems of cohesion. Take... uh butterfly girl. Her hair grew longer and thicker during the transformation sequence even tho none of the other characters had that ! Her Butterfly motif looked more like a ribbon and caused confusion, and a lot of people complained about "sexualized" design because of her bare legs but short skirt (even tho it was part of her character). There was also a story of plagiarism, that was debunked since then, but did participate in the redesign. Plus, the overall team cohesion was really bad, none of their ouftit even slightly mirorred eachothers. How did they fix it you ask ? Well, they gave to the team several similar points, especially with their motifs. Look at the 6 button middle, they all have it, with their motifs on the side ! There's a little mark on their cheeks, and-" Mikey : "put me out of my misery"

Mikey thinks the visuals are great ! The characters are great ! But what the fuck is going on tho it just annoys him more than makes him hate it he just likes a well-built story

he can sits through an ep, but through a season ? too many incoherence and characters getting OOC, too many plot points gets lost and characters arc butchered it is a cool show ! that's why most of his family likes it. you just have to make abstraction of the huge storyline flaws

in level of stupidness, it presented the Shopkeeper as Sasuka's mom in the end of season 12 (they already had the redesign then), but then in season 20 they said the Shopkeeper was actually Sasuka that travelled back in time to beat up her team for some stupid reason

and it's like "yeah ! cool ! CHOOSE 1 THO" Mikey's favourite show is an on-going action romance show with a really well constructed story called "On the Devil's shoulder" he keeps trying to make his family watch it but they find it boring to death

Donnie: "I have a list of all the canon events that happened in this show right here." he points at a journal the size of a dictionary, "and in here I have a list of more events that directly contradicts the events of this first list" he points at another journal that somehow looks bigger than the first one

it's bigger because they contradict the same plot point several time

SO in Colorcoded each season would be year, and the ending of season 1 would finish most of the short arcs started there, like April's dad learn that they are a danger magnet, and the Kraangs winning happens on the anniversary of when they first got out of the lair. Like a bittersweet reminder. So in the end of season 1, New York is definitely destroyed (renamed Old York), and a lot of people runs away. April's dad cut all relations with the turtles, and she's dragged away to Canada, while Casey and Hye-jin are being put in foster care in Philadelphia, waiting for their mom to take them back (she's all they have left... or is she ). The turtles and Splinter returns to Japan to the remaining Hamato Clan (the Foot clan and Shredder does the same), and everyone is severely traumatized.

yea but like, what does imagination give the Krang? why wouldn't they give up after such a huge disaster? Is it really that worth it? Do they have a way to know if someone humans/mutants have more imagination than others? (cause if that's the case, I'd imagine Mikey would be an easy target since he's is pretty creative)

cause like, imagination is just basically the ability to make a mental image of something you have or haven't seen/felt/experienced, do they really need that? how come the Utroms and Kraang don't have that actually? If by imagination you mean the ability to have be able to "see" things in your head (mind's eye), then well, some irl people don't have that, it's not that uncommon, but it's really not worth all this effort to get. If by imagination you mean creativity, (hehe, kinda like the Lego Movie plot) then "imagination" probably wouldn't be the right word what's your definition of imagination here, cause it's a bit confusing why the Kraang would want it dfhdfdf (and surprising that they don't already have it, depending on the definition)

I thought they didn't care about what happened to the humans? why would they want to stop them? Even with a few new human memories, would that change their morals?

Imagination is the ability to create things that aren't real nor possible in one's head. Imagination is an ability that only the humans possesses, and that was deemed interesting by the high-tech society of the Utroms to study. To study it they made a faction dedicated to it : the Kraangs. Over the course of their study they realized the potential of imagination for their specie (not to advance, they already can do that, but to create their own made-up stories, make themselves a culture much like the humans. They want that ability, to them it's like a superpower).

the things is that they don't get a few human memories, when they snatch the imagination they snatch the entirety of the human's memories, and feelings attached to them, essentially fusing the human with the Kraang. To the Kraang it's like they experienced all that the human experienced. If the human had a daughter, it was their daughter

so they have both their own memories and all the human's memories?

ya but like the human's memories is this super violent all of the sudden thing, it feels much more fresh and vibrant and important basically it gives them empathy

so like, in this, imagination is like a 'skill' you can give someone (like, one human's imagination = one Utrom/Krang being able to imagine) right? it's not like, a quantity or something

i mean "give" is a big word. They do kill the human in the process. It's an ability they steal. But yeah basically 1=1

so are some people's imagination better than some? I think that would make sense

i mean i guess it's an ability like anything else : if you train it it becomes stronger i guess children's imagination are better than adults in most cases

cause if so I'm pretty sure the Krang would probably try to find the best people to take imagination from like, they'd target artists and music composers, architects etc... (before they made the technodrome of course dfhdf, they wouldn't be picky anymore then since they'd just take it form the whole city)

mmh yeah true htey probably would i guess their research would be useful there oh myabe the way the turtles learn about the kraangs is because they capture mikey

i think they'd more likely have like a machine that pinpoints imagination like after years of research they probably made a scientific thingy that corresponds to imagination

does Splinter have pictures of them from when they were kids

I mean he has a shit ton of pictures of them at every age but most of them are extremely chaotics (nice non-chaotic non-blurry pictures are rare)

I think his favourite picture would be of when they were kids (not toddlers like 6/7) and Mikey had a "class" to teach his brothers to paint and it ended up as a paint fight and mikey would get really mad they didn't take it seriously and start crying and the picture would just be crying mikey and his brothers comforting him with poorly made paintings, the turtles and their surrouding covered in paint

very random question but do you think if colorcoded was ever made into a series/movie, would it be 2d or 3d animated?

i have already thought about it XDXD 2D all the way. I love 2D animation so much

I feel like 3d would be more adapted since the designs are pretty detailed but also 2d good,,,

i mean these designs were made with the thought that it would mostly be illustration based

Okay so you know how at the end of season 1 the turtles basically failed miserably to save NY ?

So i have yet to figure out season 2 but consider : they're being dragged in the mud and called out for it by [insert group of people here], and they're all traumatized and miserable Okay so what if at that point, Splinter never told them about his own failure as Yoshi Hamato And he finally tells them then

like they saw Splinter as an amazing flawless person and they get to see that he has failed too in the past,,

Okay so I keep thinking about it and WHAT IF During the entire NY catastrophe everyone got a good look at them/filmed them/took pictures so everyone knows about the 5 turtles that failed to save NY, and they get MASSIVE backlash from everywhere (internet, in the street, on the news... Meanwhile the governments are all pretending it's a hoax and mutants don't exists) So that doesn't help everyone's mental health, Splinter's story would help a bit but they'd still feel huge guilt from failing to save thz city. Then, amongst the hate, on internet a new # starts trending : #SavedByATurtle And it's like thousands of people saying that, yes, they failed to save the city, but if it weren't for the turtles they'd be dead. It starts on the internet and then it spreads (the news, books at some point), the idea that the turtles saved a SHIT TON of people. At some point a news channel does the math and announces they saved (at least) 3 million people with their different actions. Now yeah 3/19.5 is not ideal, but fuck that's 3 million people. (As time goes on the number keeps growing) Also at some point Steve vouches for them

Okay so I keep thinking about it but you know how in most of the TMNT it's always Leo/Raph relationship or arguing or whatever. I think in Colorcoded it'd be more Mikey/Raph.

Like I was thinking about several siblings interactions and I'm surprised that more often than not Mikey and Raph end up fighting For example, I was thinking of a Mikey/Donnie comic after the Leo/Raph one, where Donnie would feel like shit and Mikey would cheer him up before calling a brother meeting. Raph is bad at social interactions, even with his brothers he just has trouble figuring out what to say. So when Donnie is like "i'm worthless I know you'd give money for people to take me if you could". Raph answers with "If I were to sell you, don't worry, I'd sell Shelldon too so you won't be alone" Like he GENUINELY thinks it's the right thing to say there and he gets smacked by Mikey, anf they end up arguing

For another example, I was thinking after the Leo/Raph comic that maybe when Leo felt overwhelmed he'd give the lead to Raph (who doesn't want to lead, but will do so if it helps Leo, but only temporarily). So at some point he's leading and he accidentally put Donnie and Mikey in a lot of danger and when they return Mikey is furious and ask him "what the fuck were you thinking ?! You know Donnie and I's skills are lower than yours" "Yeah and ? Sounds like you need to train more often, not my problem." "It'll be your problem once you have our DEAD CORPSES ON YOUR HANDS" Then Leo would go "Mikey ! Stop !" Silence "You don't like how I do things ? Well what about you take the lead, Mikey ?" "I don't want to lead, I know my job I'm asking you to do yours !" "My job isn't to lead ! I'm not Leo !" Mikey looks at him up and down "Yeah I saw that." And then storms off

i'm genuinely surprised how much mikey's and raph's colorcoded character make them clash with eachothers like aight ngl did not expect that also Meets and Leo do argue a bit too. not as much as Mikey and Raph but they often have opposite views about what the team should do Donnie, who doesn't have enough self confidence to argue with anyone, stuck between 2 set of siblings arguing : )) :

Leo: "why can't everyone get along :,((("

donnie is just like "hh. hhhhh. time to stand there and wait awkwardly and hope it doesn't end up in bloodshed"

Aight so since i'm not sure i'll have time to draw it, I'm gonna lay out some Colorcoded comic plot I had in mind

So for Casey comic : Casey thanking Splinter for something (not shown) and he goes "Thank you Mister Splinter." "That's very polite Casey, but you can call me just Splinter." "Polite ? I'm not polite, Mister Splinter sir, polite is for the WEAK. I am super tough and strong and WHAT IS THAT" He proceeds to shriek and climb on top of Donnie "that's just Buckle Casey." "Buckle ????" "Yeah it's my little puppy pup. My good girl. Yes your are yessss you are" "HAVE YOU SEEN THAT JAW ??? AND WHERE ARE IT'S EYES ??? THIS IS A DEMON" "Casey may I know why out of everyone you decided to climb on me" "Obviously because you're taller" "Yeah, obviously mister tough strong guy"

Mikey/donnie comic : Mikey and Donnie are in mikey's workshop, and donnie is posing while Mikey is sketching a bunch of his head from different angle. "Yes I'm finally getting it !" "What's the point..." "Well I never capture you right in my family paintings you know ? It always bothered me but if I practice a lot, you'll finally look good !" "No, I mean what's the point of working this hard for me ? Just leave me out of the paintings..." "No can do D. It's a family picture not a family picture minus that one guy" "It's not like I'll be there for long..." Mikey pauses and looks up "What" "Come on Mikey. You all told me : you'd rather give money to get someone to take me than keep me here" "Donatello what are you talking about" "Earlier, when you guys were telling me how worthless I am. "Oh gosh Donnie I-I'm so sorry I didn't think you'd take it like that. You're amazing and we love you and we would never do that." Leo hugs Donnie znd keeps at least a hand on him until the end of the scene "Yeah, well don't worry Don, if we ever do sell you, we'll sell Shelldon with you so you're never alone" Raph gets smacked violently by Mikey while Leo goes "Raph ):< !" "HEY MIKEY ! What ??? What, what did I say wrong ??" Donnie looks devastated and about to have a breakdown "Raph apologize." "What, no ! And don't tell me what to do Michelangelo. I did nothing wrong" "Oh 'you did nothing wrong' ! What are you, stupid ?" Mikey and Raph start to argue in the back while Donnie shakes off Leo's hand and leave.

Later on, Donnie is captured by Baxter Stockman's mousers and he goes "To be captured that easily, this one must certainly be a burden to your team... Say, let's make a deal." Mikey, Raph and Leo are very on edge about to snap at any moment. "What deal" "Well, I'll take your friend there, and in exchange, I'll let you go and never bother you again. And you know what, I'll even throw in some money, what do you say, mh ? You are all quite the mutagene success and I've dreamed to dissect one of you. It's an excellent deal !" As he speaks we can see Donnie's face falling until he drops his head in defeat, like he knows they're going to say yes "What the fuck is wrong with you" "Yeah we're not selling our brother !" "You can take your stupid deal and shove it up where I think." They continue to berate Stockman (that looks very surprised), while Donnie is absolutely glowing in the back. After he's rescued he just leaps in and hugs his brothers tight with the biggest smile

Leo: cool leader Raph: angy fighter Mikey: artsy goofball Donnie: ANXIOUS GENIUS

like -doesn't like hugs unless he iniates it -games. games is his life and how he deals with his burst of anger (his interest i guess then) -sensory issues well now if I do intentionally code him autistic ima have to do some research hugirger

about raph's possible autism I've also made him like super awkward socially with everyone new he meets until he gets to know them even a little bit and also tend to avoid people and go to pets and such and like idk nhgirejhugeruj maybe that's also accidental autism code idk

I guess so gherieugr I also don't like loud noises i can't control like for example when you go tap tap tap against your plate to make smth fall off your spoon it's very bad noise, makes me flinch and cover my ear

this can be for anything but these headcanons are very, very important to my colour-deaf au (please check this out, it is my passion project and my child and I am so excited)

So, here are some headcanons into how ninpo functions for April, Donnie, and Splinter, because those three only get mystics in the finale and movie, so we don’t have a lot to go off of.

First off, channeling of ninpo. The turtles can be damaged by using their ninpo (as shown by mikey’s portals) but not when they use it through some sourt of object (basically like doctor strange relics). these objects mirror what they want them to be, so no matter what they start out as, with enough ninpo they turn into each turtle’s weapon of choice, within reason. two objects, like mikey had, weren’t going to turn into one fundo, even though he likes those better. raph didn’t have the right materials to make new tonfa’s. though, switching ninpo weapons is very, very painful, so they’re just waiting until they break to make their preferred weapons.

Now, first off, SPLINTER’S ninpo.

Splinter’s ninpo isn’t channeled into a weapon at all. He channels it into his cane. When using the cane, the ninpo makes his body stronger (like it does for mikey) and improves his terrible rat vision somewhat. he doesn’t fight much anymore, so he uses it for what he needs it for. he knows how to do more with it from the scrolls, but his fighting days are over and he doesn’t want to. anyways, doing what he does with it is actually a lot more complex so he counts it as a win.

April’s ninpo only works when Karai’s spirit is aligned with hers. So if something were to say, trigger a flashback for Karai, april would not be able to use her ninpo unless she was also having a flashback and the ninpo got out of control. due to being channeled through a spirit, her ninpo is weaker and, reminiscent of the mystic weapons, isn’t linked to her brain, but rather how she controls the weapon. the only exception is when karai’s spirit actually appears in the physical realm, which is very rare. when that happens, both of them have their own completely separate ninpo, and april can spread fire as far as she pleases. also, when karai and her are separate, her ninpo turns more yellow-y.

Donnie’s is the fun one, for me. It functions like a code, one that he can edit. The giant gun exists because at some point Donnie got bored, and mentally created it, drew out a mental asset of it, and subconsciously added it to his ninpo arsenal. He can also “scan” blueprints of his tech into his ninpo, and then built them out of holograms. Unlike Raph, who has it the oposite, it takes a little effort for other people to be able to touch his projections. It doesn’t matter because most of the time, his ninpo is just playing him his playlist or his own personal notepad. it’s very much just another computer for him most of the time.

Now, the ninpo connection is my favorite part. When they focus on it, everyone’s heartbeats begin to echo in eachother’s ears until they all begin to sync up (it’s a great way to calm down someone panicking *cough* au things *cough*). When someone meditates (April, Splinter, Raph, and sometimes Mikey, are the only ones who meditate, Donnie and Leo don’t like meditating that much) they go into the void, where all of the spirits/souls of the Hamato clan exist. It’s hard to see dead spirits, but when meditating they can see eachother’s living souls, along with a string (or chain, depending on the person. all connections to mikey are chains) connecting one another.

This got WAY out of control, sorry.

Personally speaking Karai is a very big favorite of mine being always in-between as an ally and enemy of the turtles. 2012's take is a favorite of mine though I do still sort of prefer 03's back story. Personal hot take I just don't care for her being Splinters daughter Miwa. It didn't really go anywhere and I am sad that she never got to like bond with the turtles after the reavel and such? Sure they risk a lot to try and save her but really only Mikey seems to see her like a sister. Which is sad to me I feel we could have seen some fun dynamics with her more included. But I won't get into that XD once again this is mostly going towards the Foot!Casey au. But anything not outright directed to that can be applied to Karai over all.

𝓕 : My muse’s handwriting. (Is it good, bad, difficult to decipher, do they prefer writing by hand or with the help of some form of machine, e.t.c.)

"A steady hand is needed when you deal with weapons." From Karai's hand writing we can she is sensible, even tempered and rational. She can be optimistic. well also being discreet and value silence. She notice everything and pays great attention to detail. Karai is a careful, methodical thinker.

Which I would say is a fitting result on here handwriting. Before I break down into that i'm sure you noticed the lack of a surname in her's that is on purpose. As Karai tries to sever her ties with her father even dropping her name, despite Karai needing to be kept to the shadows and such her father dose hold some ties mainly in Japan. So Karai legally gets emancipated. She is of age to be able to do it after all.

back to her hand writing results, Karai is a sensible person she likes to have all the information before she acts. She isn't often motivated by her own emotions even openly dissing her father on his obsession saying he needs a hobby. Karai can hold her temper and act much more rational. But she can sometimes get trigger into actting on her own emotions where they too much and this is when she tends to go against her usual ways. Jumping in head first with no plan or course of action her drive is to hurt. Surprisingly she can be pretty optimistic but thats a survival tactic being the daughter of Shredder offers a pretty bleck life so anything that can be something good to hold on to she needs too. Rather it's finally getting justice for her mother to making sure her Brother and sister finally can be free. Taking into account she is a kunoichi discreet and silence is just ingrained into her. Along with her need to pay attention to detail.

As how shes able to pick apart April's lies about the turtles when mention she has four brothers who speak Japaneses and such. Or how she is too damn aware of how people carry themselves able to mock the body language needed to fool others. When her emotions are not ruling her actions she very good at planning steps ahead. Able to get the better of many for her thought and plans alone. Emotions are her only true weak spot.

"I really only been to Japan and New York." Karai didn't outright join Shredder until a bit later she grew up in Japan where Shredder main base for the foot clan resides and a lot of her training was. She later moved to New York so she could join her father on his revenge mission. Working as his right hand almost. Outside of this Karai hasn't travel around too much in her life. But it's something she would love to do more.

"I know how to survive if having to go into the woods if that's what you mean?" Sort of, Karai isn't big on camping and such shes a tad prissy this way. Not that she'll be against it she just ain't having much fun sleeping in the dirt. She rather stay up and play look out. So no she isn't all to connected to nature. Funny considering she is part snake now?

"First memory? it could be a dream but I swear it's real. Looking at a women with long dark hair telling me sorry."

Karai's first memory is also the day she lost her mother int the fire. Her mother was trapped in the building that ended up getting set on fire thanks to the fights going on. Her mother was trapped under some of the roofs structure trapped her. She just has the word sorry trapped in her mind. Karai is positive that memory is the day she lost her mother. The vague memory just fits so while to the photo she has of her mother. But for all she knows she made up that memory.

"If a certain red colored turtle hurts my brother? I know someone who can make them into turtle soup for me."

It will be turtle soup if Raph ever hurts Casey. But I would say her favorite food is Baozi. She prefers them with bean paste more of treat but sell eat the kinds with meat and veggies as well. If going more savory she likes pork. In part it's why she took so well to the pizza goyza almost being close to her own favorite food. It's something easy to eat and you don't really need to sit down and eat.

"hmm not big on music anything that's good is fine, i just have natural good taste."

Karai come across ver underground music lover, indie artis and such she not to fixed on a style of music punk rock may be a norm but sometimes she'll branch out.

I feel Karai is the type to indulge her lost childhood healing towards her inner child she has a guilty pleasure enjoyment for musical songs from Disney movies, shows and more. Can blame it on watching those kind of movies with angel but she can and has been caught humming them to herself at times. And sometimes the songs hit her a bit too close to home.

"I guess I do when it come to my mother." Karai never got to know her mother, take from her when she was just a baby. Karai often tries to hold anything she can as a connection to her even down to the flower she claims is her favorite. Purely based on knowing her mother loved them. Karai dosen't care much for her fathers vendetta against Yoshi, not till he tells her he killed her mother then she sees them as her enemy. April stating she lost her own mother was also enough to trip her up and give the lesser experienced fighter a chance to beat her. Karai often wonders if shes anything close to the person her mother would want her to be.

Karai after things with Casey goes down even more so worries about this, feeling she is willing to sell her soul to be rid of the demon she now see's their father as. She is certain her mother wouldn't want her to let revenge eat away at her. But she could have lost someone important to her someone who sort of filled the void left by her mother in her life. She Nearly lost Casey because of Shredder same as she lost her mother to him. Letting him live means her loved ones will always be in danger.

She may not be too different from her father in the end stuck in the past and letting revenge become an obession.

"Periodically, I sleep through the night most I don't. I must be alert often after all."

Karai is pretty light sleeper something she was trained as when studding under her teacher. She never knew when he would strike so she got used to sleeping as light as possible that way she could both work off little sleep leaving a moment of weakness out of her but also meaning when she can sleep she only dose in short periods of time. She gets by with a near like nap like of sleep.

Shes no artist but I like to think she likes looking at Casey's drawings as they grew up.

Casey might use some but Karia not really at all, she only joined twitter as an act of rebellion since they are meant to not take part of the world and remain unknown and hidden from it. Thier father pissed her off one night so see made an e-mail and a twitter. Pretty sure she had to get Casey to help with both. As mentioned she only has Twitter and she hardly looks at it when she dose it's most just for aesthetic posts from Japan or China. Or overly decorated weapons.

Eventually she starts using it to follow indie musicians and find out where they are holding shows that she will sneak out to go watch. She still not all to versed in how twitter works she can't figure out how to save the cool poster made up for flyers for a lot of the musicians get made up on to her phone. Casey don't be rude please show her again u-u

"I'm clearly a people person?"

She is far from a people person. Karai may be very observant which is a great skill but she knows nothing on interacting with people. This is actually why she wasn't picked for the mission to betray the turtles. She lacks social skills very very badly and it's not hard to see why. She isn't too good about blending in either. Shes very stand offish and cold. And a clear required taste not someone who can go behind enemy lies and not come across as a possible threat.

This even extends to her and Casey. She may be able to tell he is lonely but she doesn't understand past this why he keeps away so much. She can easily read a person buuuut interaction comfort and just stuff most people learn from growing up? even empathy? shes has a glaring spot of lacking that skill set. It's a big part of why it's a miracle she even has Shin as a friend.

"All my schooling is home, dad wasn't cutting corners and made sure the best of the best taught me." More reason why she is bad at interactiong and even just acting her age she never went to a public school always home school with best teachers money could buy. Karai is very smart she graduated early even. As stated she is very good with computers with their piratical uses and can even trick Donatello or least give him an annoyance so that's where I would set her intelligence.

◐ : My muse and animals. (If they like animals and treat them well, do not care for them at all, e.t.c.).

"hmm I did want a pet as a kid." Karai was lonely of course she wanted something like a cat or a dog but she never got one. But that didn't stop her from getting attached to stray animals here and there. Sneaking food out to alley cats and homeless dogs. She has a bit of a soft spot for them.

"Five finger discount works well." I feel like despite being rich Karai knows how to steal and dose it way to often it's fun she doesn't even want the stuff but sometimes it hard to not steal? So lets just say when she is feel extra nice Casey may be gifted better eyeliner and such and Angel new dolls or things that she can use for her dolls. So I'd say shes a good gift giver and long as you don't care where it comes from? Just enjoy the present.

☘ : My muse’s relation with their family. (If they speak with each other and how much, if they are close or estranged, e.t.c.).

"It's well, yeah."

Mother- Karai's mother is her whole world, she never met her but she is always on her mind and carried in her heart. Desperately hopes to avenge her own mother's death by killing her true killer. Even though she doesn't know what her mother was actually like, she cares deeply for her and is even carries a torn-off, dilapidated photo of her mother around with her. And Karai wishes to be more like her but she has become her father instead and choose to which is worse but she rather burn in hell if she can right somethings.

Father- actually quite complicated. She seems to fear the Shredder at certain times, but obeys him. She doesn't hold much respect for him more out like most teens with their parents. Often makes remarks and argue with him. But she still saved him a very times when he could have died still seeing him as her father first. Until she learns how he has been treating Casey and that its the reason Casey goes to kill himself.

Angel- Her younger sister, she and Angel bond over the fact neither of them ever got to met their mother. Sometimes it's hard to understand a connection you should have with someone you never even met. Karai on her own end has a tend more of a motherly older sister approach to Angel because of this. It's why shes in comparison nice to Casey. She often can be found brushing Angel's hair and styling it, if Angel dose wish to make her own like Karais she would help with dying it even. Angel could ask anything of Karai nearly and she would do it with out hesitation. She wants Angel to get what she and Casey didn't the pleasure of being a kid.

Casey- Karai and Casey are the same age but Casey is older only by a bit so for a few times during the year he is older. Despite this all Karai dose learn to sort of lean on Casey as if he is the older sibling. She's not the best as being open and vulnerable but she has exposed this side to Casey. Telling him about her mother and such at least something he relates to with her on and over. Casey is a very soft and caring person and Karai honestly could out right tease him by saying he acts like a mom but she dosen't because she likes that about him. How he worries about her and gets on her case even. Casey is a lot of things to Karai. So she will do anything for him as well, she would have helped him with the turtle even without their bet. When she dose find him after his suicide attempt she sees that she could have lost someone who has impacted her life in ways she wasn't aware of before. And its the last straw for her when it comes to their abusive father.

Turtles Forever Part 78

Exodus Part One,

As Splinter was meditating in his room, he had a strange vision. Sitting across from him was his former master, Hamato Yoshi. He had warned Splinter that the Shredder had found a way off of Earth and that their friends, the Utroms were in terrible danger. Splinter gasped as he woke up snapping out of his trance. Later that day, the master told everyone about his foreboding vision of warning. They all decided that it was the time to strike to take down the Shredder once and for all. D with some persuasion, Donnie and Venus, considering she wasn't fit to fight because of her shoulder injury, agreed to stay and watch over Elizabeth.

Everyone started to prepare for the upcoming battle until night had fallen in the sky. Alopex noticed that Mikey was acting a little more nervous than his normal self. As everyone slept, Alopex felt the bed shift beside her. She slowly turned around to see Mikey getting up.

"Where are you going?" She asked him. Mikey made a startled yelp, now that he was caught.

"Uh, I'm just going to check on a few things to see that were fully prepared!" He quickly told her. Alopex frowned and sat up.

"We are prepared. What YOU need to do now is rest for tomorrow night." She told him. "This is going to be big battle and we need everyone at their best and full strength. Everything's going to be fine-"

"How do you know that?" Mikey asked her, immediately, almost shouting. He flinched as he listened in on the others to make sure they had woken up. He sighed in relief, Raph loud snoring from across the Lair in his room. He looked back to Alopex, whispering to her. "How can you be so sure that nothing is going to happen? This is the Shredder that we're talking about! Mr. Big bad ninja overlord!" Alopex made a small laugh.

"Stop laughing. Alopex, I'm serious. I don't want to lose you or anyone." He tried to tell her. Suddenly, Mikey was caught off guard when Alopex grabbed him and pulled the turtle back into his bed. He gulped nervously as she was now sitting on top of him. He got lost in her moon colored eyes stared back into his.

"If this is to be our last night together, then let's make it last." She told him.

"U-Uh, and what do you mean by that?" Mikey answered sheepishly. For some reason, Mikey couldn't feel his mask on his face, now realizing that Alopex had pulled it down, so it was now resting around his neck. She leaned in and kissed Mikey gently on his lips and whispered a few words to him that he will remember for the rest of his life.

"Make me yours."

"Excuse me, may I have your attention please? It is with a heavy heart that I stand here today to say goodbye to one of the greatest men that I've ever known: Oroku Saki, the man who single handedly responsible for restoring the great city of New York to it's full glory is leaving us. I would like you to put your hands together and show this fine man how much we are truly going to miss him." The crowd clapped for him and he stands up.

"Too kind. Thank you." he shakes the Mayor's hand. "As my good friend the mayor has just reminded us, this is a farewell dinner, my way of saying thank you and goodbye. Fortune has smiled on me in many ways. The opportunity to rectify certain matters at home has now presented itself and I must go. In my absence, my lovely daughter Karai will handle all of my business affairs. I assure you, she is more than capable." Karai stood up, she was wearing a black dress with a red collar and black gloves.

"The city has been good to me. It is...my adopted home. I hope someday to return. Please, enjoy your dinner and let us make this an truly unforgettable evening."

Saki's guests clapped again and he turned to the Mayor. "My daughter and I must attend to the details of my departure," the two of them walking up the stairs, heading inside the mansion.

"Please, keep the guests entertained."

April was standing outside to the gates of the Saki estate, wearing a long red dress, with Michael and Sarah, Yuuki's parents, who were dressed up as well. The guard was standing in front of them while April was digging around in her purse.

"We have our tickets here somewhere," She said. Then Casey wheeled up to the group, with a cart wearing a white waiter uniform.

"I need to see some identification." The security guard inquired to her again.

"Come on, man, the vishie sushi's are gonna get cold!" Casey insisted.

"I need to see some identification, now!" The guard dismissed.

"Why are you busting my balloons here?" Casey said as he pushed the cart to the guard. "These dishes gotta get in there! Do me a favor, just check that cart and take it in there yourself, will ya?" The security guard bent down and lifted up the tablecloth revealing Mikey and Raph hiding underneath of it. Mikey smiled and waved.

"Hi there, nice party." He smirked. Mikey quickly kicked the guard in the face, knocking him out. The two pulled the guard under the cart with them. "Oh, yeah, like it wasn't crowded enough under here already." Mikey complained.

"Quiet." Raph slapped him.

"Ow!"

"You guys done or what?" Casey asked. Raph gave him a thumbs up.

"Casey, April, Raph and Mikey are in." Leo said as he looked through the binoculars, seeing April and Casey heading inside of the estate, pushing the cart with Mikey and Raph inside of it. Splinter was standing beside him, along with Yuuki, Mona and Alopex.

"Leonardo, perhaps we should rethink this," Splinter replied. "It is very dangerous. I feel perhaps I should have-"

"Please, Master Splinter," Leo told him. "We've been over this."

"Which does not alter the fact that I've dragged you all into this very dangerous situation, all because of a vision I cannot explain." Splinter said, unsure.

"I'll put my faith in one of your visions any day, sensei," Leo said. "If the Shredder's up to something, we'll get to the bottom of it and we'll stop him. It's what you trained us to do." He pulled out

"Shredder's security is still hot," Leo said. There were lasers scattered throughout the estate as well as security guards. "Team three, what's your status?"

"We're in place," Donnie answered. He, Venus and Leatherhead were walking in the sewers to the estate. "Sewer access security is also still active. Team two, what's your status?"

"Don, ask the professor if a security camera wire will serve his purposes." April told him.

"Oh yes, that will do nicely." The Fugitoid replied. April pulled out a hacking device linking up to a wire beside the estate. The Fugitoid hacked into the systems. "Link established. Give me a minute to hack the system." The lasers were successfully turned off, unnoticed so far. "Gentlemen and lady, I am in." The Fugitoid said. "Security systems are down, and they don't even know it."

Splinter fired an arrow with a rope tied to it and shot it at the roof on the estate. Leo, Yuuki and Splinter slid down it, the other two girls as well, landing on the estate's roof. However, as the group was not alone as they didn't know that they were being watched by someone else who was about to join the party. Bishop was watching not too far from a rooftop with a couple of his soldiers behind him.

"Well, this is interesting, very interesting indeed. Check with our man on the inside. I get the distinct feeling there's something he's not telling us." He told one of his soldiers.

"Yes, sir."

In the sewers, Leatherhead tore open a door as he ripped it off from it's hinges. Donnie, Venus and him walked stepped inside as they continued further down the sewers to the estate. Donnie lit a flare, seeing that they were in a rail room of some sorts made for something very large.

"This tunnel is huge!" Donnie exclaimed.

"And recently constructed." Venus added.

"It appears to lead from the Shredder's mansion all the way to the river." The Fugitoid explained.

"At least the coast is clear." Leatherhead replied.

Suddenly, Donnie was punched as he was knocked back. "Donnie!" Venus shouted. She was also kicked from behind. Then Leatherhead was attacked next. "Oh dear!" The Fugitoid cried out.

"Foot tech!" Donnie shouted. "They're cloaked!"

The invisible ninjas were attacking Leatherhead, making the crocodile more and more angry. Then he let out a menacing growl. He reached out and managed to grab the two invisible foot ninjas and slammed them against each other, knocking them out. "Suffice it to say, I'm glad I brought you along, Leatherhead." Donnie said. He picked up the flare and the three continued ahead as they followed the tracks. "Let's move."

Further down the tracks, the three saw another door in front of them. Leatherhead busted it open, and they walked inside.

"Guys, we're under the Shredder's mansion," Donnie told everyone through their headsets. "And you know that really big thing that the Shredder's up to? I think I just found it!" It was a giant space ship.

"Shredder has a starship?" Leo questioned.

"He has finally found a way to leave this planet." Splinter said.

"And that's not a good thing?" Leo asked.

"He will bring this evil to other worlds." Splinter explained. "He will attack our friends, the Utroms. Millions will suffer at his hands.

"We'll just have to cancel his flight," Leo said. "How we doing, guys?" He asked Mikey and Raph who were scaling the ceilings through the hallways of the estate.

"This is team...uh...team...are we team three or four?" Mikey asked. Raph slapped him on his head. "Ow!"

"We're in." Raph answered. Down below the two were several foot ninjas who were patrolling the halls. "And the place is crawling with foot creeps."

"Understood," Leo replied. "Team two, commence with Operation Lockdown."

"You heard him, professor," Donnie answered as he started connecting his palm top to a control panel, letting the Fugitoid do his work. "Close sesame."

Saki and Karai were in his office as the foot leader was looking over schematics of the starship designs.

"Dr. Chaplin reports that all starship systems are nominal," Karai reported. "Congratulations...tonight will be your last night on Earth."

"After centuries of being imprisoned on this primitive backwater, I will finally return to the stars! When my Utrom enemies return here to imprison me, I will be gone. And when they least expect it, I will be at their throats!" Saki stated.

"And what of me, father?" Karai asked him.

"Karai, my time here was not a total loss," He told her. "I have forged a powerful dynasty with the Foot and I have raised a daughter to rule that dynasty until my return. You will serve me as you have always served me." He tilted her chin up with his hand. "Faithfully and without question. Now, see to our guests. This is a celebration, not a wake."

"Yes, master."

"This is completely unacceptable," Bishop was talking to someone on wrist communicator. "Why didn't you tell us Oroku Saki has a starship?" It was Stockman.

"You didn't ask." His floating head replied smugly on the screen.

"Sarcasm is no way to build a working relationship with me, Stockman." Bishop retorted.

"Relax, Agent Bishop. We have a deal," Stockman assured him. "I'll keep my end of the bargain as long as you keep yours, huh?" He saw Chaplin had walked into the room, holding the ship's designs, the sliding doors closed behind him. "Must go. Bye now." Stockman quickly told Bishop as he cut off his connection to the agent.

In the estate's communications room, Hun was looking at the layout of the manor. He noticed that the guard at the front gate was gone. "I don't like it." He said. "Where's the guard at the front gate? Send someone to check it out." And ordered an foot soldier.

"Sir, there's a glitch in the system. Something...I don't know what it is." A foot tech replied.

"Well, find out," Hun demanded. "The master can't have anything go wrong. Not tonight."

"Alright,"The Fugitoid managed to get into the launching chamber's control panel systems. "Taking complete control of the internal systems. Commencing internal lockdown...now." Every door and room inside of the estate was sealed shut and barricaded.

"What the?" Hun questioned confused. "Who ordered a lockdown?

In the sewers, Bishop and his men were following the tracks as they were heading towards the starship.

"I don't know what Saki's up to and I don't care. Rig this tunnel for demolition. I don't want to allow Saki any chance to move his ship." Bishop ordered.

In Saki's room, Saki was still going over the blueprints. He sensed Mikey and Raph behind him and turned around, facing them, surprised to see them.

"Planning a little trip?" Raph called out.

"A little outer space mayhem, perhaps?" Mikey joked.

"Not if we have anything to say about it!" Leo shouted. He jumped down from the ceiling along with Splinter and Yuuki.

"Your evil ends here and now, Shredder!" Splinter declared and fired an arrow at the ninja leader. Saki caught the arrow with his hand, snapping it in half.

"I shall relish destroying-" Mikey and Raph kicked Saki from behind, knocking him towards Leo, Splinter and Yuuki. Leo tried to strike at him with his swords, but Saki defended himself with his arms. Leo pushed Saki back, breaking the table. Mikey tried to swing his nunchucks at him, but Saki grabbed the ends and tossed Mikey to the side. Raph charged at Saki with his sais pinning him to the corner of the room. Splinter fired a few arrows trapping Saki's wrists to the wall with them. Then fired two more into the ninja's chest and stomach. Saki let out a scream in anguish and pain. He pried himself from the wall and pulled the arrows out of him.

Leo, Splinter, Mikey, Raph, Alopex, Mona, and Yuuki all stood in front of him.

Bishop and his men had managed to make into the launching chamber and found Saki's star ship.

"This starship. It's-It's unbelievable," Bishop murmured. "How could Saki have-" One of his soldiers ran up to him.

"Sir, tunnel wired for demolition, sir!"

"Then blow it," Bishop ordered him. "I'm not letting this ship slip through my fingers."

The soldier pressed a button on the remote setting off the demolition charges in the railway caving it in.

The shockwave was felt from above as they party was still going on. Several guests noticed it. "What was that?" The mayor questioned. He turned to Karai who was standing next to him.

"Miss Saki, are you sure everything's alright?"

"Mayor, honored guests, do not be alarmed," She reassured him and everyone. She gestured up towards the sky, fireworks exploded above them as they boomed loudly. Everyone watched in awe. "This is my father's way of saying thank you and farewell."

"Very nice."

"Oh no, oh no, oh no!" Chaplin cried out from inside of the spaceship as he noticed Bishop and his men in the tunnels, seeing that they had caved it in. "Those crazy commandos! They've completely collapsed the transport tunnel! I gotta tell the boss!"

"Mr. Saki, it's that Bishop guy! He and his men blew up the transport tunnel!" Chaplin told Saki was he was fighting against Leo, Raph, Mikey, Yuuki, Splinter, Mona, and Alopex. Parts of his suit was ripped, revealing his metal endo skeleton suit underneath it. "There's no way we're moving the starship to the river!"

"Bishop?" Saki said in disbelief. "Here?" Leo knocked Saki down with his sword. He growled. "That changes everything!" He quickly jumped up, surprising everyone. Saki kicked Yuuki, Splinter, Leo, Mikey, Raph, Mona and Alopex back. Leo, Mikey, Raph, Yuuki, Mona and Alopex all were sent flying into the wall. Splinter jumped, bringing his sword down on Saki. Saki quickly caught it in his hands. He kicked Splinter in the stomach sending the ninja master flying and crashing into the chair. As everyone tried to get back up, Hun busted through the room, carrying a huge hammer in his hands. There were several Foot elites as well as foot ninjas behind him as they ran into the room.

"Protect the master!" Hun shouted.

"Hun!" Saki shouted at him. "Control this situation! I need to get my ship to safety!" He quickly headed towards a giant statue of himself. Saki pressed a button on the remote he pulled out, revealing a hidden elevator and ran inside of it, taking it down to the launch chamber.

"He's making a break for it!" Alopex shouted.

"Get him!" Raph shouted.

"Chaplin, prepare the ship. We must launch immediately!" Saki said to him.

"But, Mr. Saki, we can't move the ship," Chaplin replied. "They're destroyed the transport tunnel!"

"No, you fool! Commence the emergency launch sequence!" Saki shouted.

"But...but, all those people are on the emergency silo doors." Chaplin said hesitantly.

"Do it, Chaplin! NOW!" Saki shouted. Chaplin sighed and slowly reached over towards the switch and flipped it.

"Opening emergency launch doors."

Up above at the party, a waiter was serving to a couple. "I'll be right back with that ma'am," He stopped when he noticed the ground beneath him, starting to move. "Huh?"

He screamed as well as everyone else as they tried to get away from the moving platform, some sadly fell in. Casey, April, Michael and Sarah tried to help a few people as they pulled them up from the launch platform.

"Sir, it looks like Saki's is trying an emergency launch," A soldier informed Bishop.

"What?" Bishop said in surprise. "How could-" A table fell from above almost hitting him. "Bring in Strikeforce Bravo! Shut this whole place down!" A helicopter flew in from above and several soldiers slide down the ropes, landing on the ground, while more came in on motorcycles.

"This is Bravo One. Roger that, commander. Nothing goes up, nothing gets out." The soldier told Bishop. "Bravo Two. We have control on the ground, commander." The helicopter fired a couple of missiles into the entrance of the estate. The elevator doors opened to the launch chamber and Saki stepped out of it.

"What?" He was shocked to see Leatherhead fighting against some of foot techs and scientists. Donnie and Venus jumped over him and ran over to Saki.

"We thought you might try the back door!" Donnie shouted. Saki tried to dodge around him but Donnie pinned Saki back with his staff. "That's why we're here."

Raph pried open the statue with his sais while Splinter, Mikey, Alopex and Mona fought against the foot elites. Leo and Yuuki were holding the foot ninjas back. Mikey and Raph pushed the elites back, knocking them into Hun. The four quickly followed after Saki, jumping down into the elevator, leaving Leo and Yuuki.

"Stop them!" Hun shouted. Hun chased after the group, the elites following behind him as he tore open the elevator ground with his hammer and jumped in. Leo and Yuuki were about to chase after them when Karai stopped them.

"Wait, Leonardo, you must not do this. He is finally leaving our world," She begged him. "You must let him go!"

"Are you kidding me? Do you know what he's planning to do once he leaves Earth?" Yuuki said to her.

"He's going to destroy and enslave the Utroms. And who knows possibly other worlds as well!" Leo told her as well.

"The Utroms have hunted my father all his life. They are heartless monsters!" Karai exclaimed, bitterly. Yuuki glared at her, looking like she was about to fight her. Leo held her back.

"He's lied to you, Karai," He told her. "HE'S the heartless monster and we're going to stop him!" He and Yuuki ran towards the elevator hole and jumped in.

"Leonardo, no!" Karai cried out to them.

"There's no way we're letting you get on that starship, Shredder!" Donnie shouted as he, Venus, and Leatherhead fought Saki in the launch chamber.

"The three of you cannot stop me," Saki told them. Splinter, Mikey, Raph and Mona jumped down from the elevator behind him.

"Together we will stop you!" Splinter shouted. Hun as well several elites appeared behind the group, too.

"Step away from the master, now!" Hun roared out. Suddenly, everyone stopped, confused as they heard beeping from a distance until it grew rapidly. An explosion went off and several of Bishop's soldiers ran into the room.

"Well, well, well, isn't this cozy?" Bishop replied as he walked in. "On my mark, destroy them all!"

"You gotta be kidding me." Venus replied.

"Open fire!" The soldiers fired their guns at everyone in the room and they quickly ran to take cover, trying to dodge the blasts. Leo, Yuuki and Karai had jumped down from the elevator, seeing the soldiers, and tried dodged out of the gun fire as well.

"Shredder, you cannot be allowed to return to the stars, to wreak havoc on other planets, or to revenge yourself on the Utrom homeworld!" Splinter said to Saki as he faced him.

"What?" Saki's eyes widened in shock. "How do you know of this?"

"My father Master Yoshi was a guardian," Splinter told him. "He protected the Utroms. He forbids your journey. And in his name, I will not allow you passage!" Raph jumped from behind Saki, stabbing his sais into the Utrom endo-skeleton. Sparks flew out as Mikey swung his nunchucks hitting the endo's mouth, knocking it off.

"No!" Hun shouted. He swung his club, knocking Mikey and Raph back. "Go, master, get to the ship!" As everyone was fighting against Bishop's soldiers, Leatherhead noticed Saki was getting away.

"Shredder!" Leatherhead shouted, angrily as he saw him, his eyes turned to slits. "Shredder!" He roared and charged at Saki, striking him repeatedly with his claws.

"I'm coming, master!" Hun shouted. He punched Leo back and ran over to him, pushing Leatherhead off of Saki. The crocodile crashed into a glass containment tube. Hun turned back to Saki as he helped him up. He froze in shock as he saw the endo skeleton. "Sir..." Hun gaped and stammered. "You...huh?" He ripped off the remaining of Saki's suit, revealing the red Utrom, inside. "You're an Utrom?"

Leatherhead roared and tackled Hun before he could react. The two crashed into the glass window, falling down into the depths of the launch chamber. "Oh Cruuuud!"

Saki slowly began walking towards the starship when Donnie noticed him. "Oh no, you don't!" Donnie shouted. He knocked down a liquid nitrogen canister popping the cap off with his staff. "You're not going anywhere, Shredder!" The nitrogen sprayed all over the Utrom's exoskeleton, freezing it. "A little liquid nitrogen should slow you down!"

Splinter threw a chain with a hook at the Utrom's endo suit pulling it back, taking the Utrom along with it. The suit shattered to pieces, leaving the red Utrom completely helpless. Everyone stood over the Utrom ready to deliver the final blow as they raised their weapons and fists in the air. However, Karai stopped them as they watched in surprise when she jumped over them. She quickly scooped up the Utrom and took off, heading towards the spaceship.

"Chaplin, we are leaving!" She shouted to the scientist inside as everyone chased after her.

"All systems go. Countdown already in progress. This is totally gonna be sketchy." Chaplin said as he began to start up the ship. Karai ran inside of the ship as the door closed down behind her. Raph and Mikey crashed into it. The four turtles tried to pry open the door but it was sealed shut.

"Professor, you have to open this door." Donnie urged the Fugitoid as he linked his handheld to a panel to the door.

"I'm on it, Donatello." The Fugitoid said as he started to get into the ship's systems.

"No! Saki's not getting away! I want that starship. Team Bravo, disable the ship. Don't let it take off!" Bishop shouted as he ordered the helicopter flying above ground.

"Roger that, fire in the hole." A soldier fired a few missiles at the ship. The to the ship released itself as it slid open just as the Fugitoid managed to do so.

"Way to go, professor!" Donnie smiled.

"Incoming!" Mikey cried out as he warned everyone. They saw a missile headed straight towards them and quickly dodged out of the way as it destroyed half of the bridge to the ship. Donnie was on the other side holding on to the edge of the ship as the clock started to countdown.

"Ignition!" Chaplin started the ship. It slowly began to take off as Donnie was still hanging onto it.

"Uh, guys?" Donnie called out nervously to everyone.

"We have to jump for it!" Leo shouted.

"Come on!" Raph shouted.

Everyone leaped off from the bridge as they fell towards the ship.

Battle Nexus Entrance

"O'Neil! Jones! Get those kids and the time traveler out of here!" Karai looked back at the two she had just called to. Casey had his hockey stick drawn, ready to face down the floating stranger in their home. April was looking back and forth between the new arrivals in the lair and Karai herself. She looked conflicted, like she wasn't sure what decision to make. Karai understood her confusion, none of them had expected this to happen today.

April eventually focused her attention on Karai. "We can't just leave you behind, Karai! Not after what happened to the others!" Karai couldn't help but be touched by her new sister's words. Still, having her stand here and be stubborn was not going to help them in the long run.

"That's sweet April, but those kids are not up for a fight. So you two need to lead them to safety. I can handle myself, at least to district him. So go." Karai whispered out. Before checking if April and Casey followed her lead, Karai pulled out her wakizashi and ran at the intruder who invaded her home.

The monster raised the odd staff above his head and a beam a light hit Karai right in the chest. Immediately, her vision was filled with a blinding light. And then she felt like she was falling. The ground dropped out from under her, but it was only a few seconds until she could see again. She managed to land in a kneeling position before looking around to see what happened.

Karai was not prepared for what she saw around her. The room was full of mutant turtles that looked suspiciously like her brothers, a few humans, and mutant rats. There was also a banner hanging from the ceiling that said "1V1 Battle Nexus".

The Battle Nexus? This didn't look anything like the Damiyo's Nexus. The place was weirdly empty, sans all the people within. What had Karai gotten herself into?

A Hard Choice To Make - Part 1

"Go talk to him. It's the only way to wash your emotions away." April, the reporter of Channel 6, advise you.

"No!" Your eyes went wide "No, I won't!"

"Then do you want to live with it stuck into you for the rest of your life?"

You lower your head, not knowing what kind of response you should give besides this not-desired possibility. April is right.

Since you met the brothers—three years ago—you have created a strong family bond with all of them, specially with the fearless leader in blue who your heart shines for. You knew that something within you is brougth to life every time Leonardo is around, and it is kind of torture because you literally fell in love with this terrapin.

But there's a doubt haunting you: Is Leo with the same feelings about you? The objection behind it is almost invalid in your point of view. He is the leader of his group, known as being the only one who tries to keep his brothers in line, making decisions for each time they are out for patrol, dealing with the most heavy and difficult choices and moments throughout their adventures. And you... You are just a human as you always say.

You sigh, turning your eyes back at April "Ya know, I have no idea if he feels the same about me. I'm afraid of how he'd react from my declaration."

April leaves her desk, and sits next to you on the sofa in the living room of her apartment. "Y/N..." she said softly, landing her slender hand on your shoulder "Soon or late he will know; but if I were you, I would go talk to him. He won't figure it out alone". You nodded, staring at the floor again with your mind lost in an ocean of thoughts and emotions. "Try, Y/N. Do not let it consume you; or it will get worse" the reporter rubs your shoulder and embrace you in a comfort hug.

"Would you like me to talk to him?" She offered herself.

"No! No... I must be prepare myself first."

April let's out a soft giggle "Okay. Take your time, sweetheart. Call me if you need help." She smiled.

You let the comfort of her embrace take you completely as a help to try to kick out your anxiety, but your nervousness insists to stay. How would you say to the most respectable man that you're in love with? How would he reacts? Will he treat you in a bad or good way? You knew he wouldn't treat you like an idiot or something but even that you are not secure.

A few weeks has passed since April's advice.

You and Casey Jones were called by Chief Vicent to attend a meeting at NYPD police station for a debate about Shredder after his sudden disappearance in the day that Technodrome has appeared in the sky. And for your surprise you're not the only one who were invited.

Your mutant turtles best friends are there.

And speaking of them...

"Hey Casey and Y/N!" Mikey was the first one who came up to welcome you both as you enter in the police station. "Finally you're here! Chief Vicent is waiting for you" the young brother pointed at up stairs of the building.

You and Casey went quickly to the second floor.

Arriving there, Mikey pointed at one of the several rooms throughout the large corridor. From outside you could see three shells facing the only door of the small space, and your eyes shone. In the middle of the three massive terrapins, a blue and well-written kanji with a pair of katanas.

"Y/N? Are you coming or...?" Casey called, noticing your behaving.

You froze, desperate about what you would do with that handsome man a few steps away from you—actually standing on the other side of the table.

Gulping, you walked behind Casey as you both enter the room.

"Good evening, Casey Jones." the blond-haired woman nodded from the other side of the rectangular table, facing you both "And Y/N" she nodded again, sharing a polite smile. Other three pairs of eyes landed on you while you stand beside Casey "Hey, guys" Donnie waved with that cute grin he has. "Hey..." Raphael said with a neutral voice; and finally Leonardo who, as Chief Vicent, shares a nod and a smile.

Oh God, that smile makes your bones shiver.

"So what are the news, Chief?" Casey asked, leaning above the table to watch papers and pictures scattered above it.

"We got a prove that Shredder must be still alive" she continued "We have captured Karai who was with him in the day that Kraang has arrived on Earth for the first time, and has confessed that Shredder was teleported into Technodrome. It was the last time she has seen him" she finished, glancing quickly at Shredder's picture on her right side and then looked up at everybody there present.

"Wait, wait..." The hot head turtle interferes "Last time? But how? Karai and Shredder used to work together all the time! Perhaps she is laying-"

"We don't know, Raph." The leader cuts his brother, then Mikey continued "Or maybe Shredder is working for Kraang.", Donnie moved his body a bit to stand face-to-face with his brothers and continued "We do not know if all those suggestions are valid, but I fear what Mikey said. Shredder must be working for Kraang."

Chief Vicent nodded positively, leaning above the table "I wouldn't discard this possibility."

The idea of Shredder working for Kraang freaks you out. Shredder is known for being dangerous, and Kraang is known for being deadly; and the two of them together is a nightmare.

After a few minutes of silence, Casey questioned "So, what are we gonna do now?"

"Wait. For now." Chief Vicent responded, not breaking her eye contact with the Shredder's picture beside her, and the room was filled with Raph's indignation voice "Wait?! How much time of wait?!"

"Raph, more respect!" Leo punch his brother's arm, murmuring and shaking his head in disapprove by his brother's behaving.

You tried to not giggle by their brotherhood behaving.

"We don't know..." Chief Vicent replied "but all we can do now is use what we have available to find Shredder; and Kraang. I'm highly doubt that Shredder isn't on Earth. Maybe he was brought back by Kraang. As you said before, Donatello" she pointed "the atmosphere in Technodrome is toxic for those who have a normal cardiovascular system. Hardly Shredder would survive in that thing out there".

"There's an interesting point" Leo continued "But It's been months since his disappearance and till now no one has seen him. For sure, if someone have, they would warn us."

"Or they would help him" Raph participated one more time "We don't know if someone is his follower."

"You mean a new Shredder?" Mikey asked, surprised.

"I would freak out if it is true." You said.

"Me too." Chief Vicent agreed, sighing.

The worst nightmare of the boys is that another (or other) person ended up like Shredder. For sure someone out there have inspired themselves on that horrible assassin and perhaps will keep on doing his dirty work as a next generation of the Foot Clan. It must be happening in any city, state or country right now.

After two hours of debate, Chief Vicent has decided give a break, and then back to the reunion.

You are checking out your Pinterest in another small room of the building to spend some time. But your is mind busy thinking more about Leo than paying attention to the pics on your social media. You just scroll down, the pics passing through your phone screen quickly; then your mind focused in flashbacks of your conversation with April a few weeks ago.

You want to confess your love for Leonardo. You want to face him and say how much you love him.

But why are you feeling something negative inside you?

You sighed, without knowing what to do. Your eyes lift from the screen and scanned the small room around you. There's a desk with a deactivated computer in the left and a cupboard on the right. Cupboard? Why is it here in a office? Maybe this room is used like a kitchen. And speaking of it... where's the coffee machine and other stuff used by workers?

You shrugged, ignoring it and paying attention to your phone again.

"Y/N?" A familiar deep voice called from the door frame. You jumped and quickly looked up at the person.

Actually, at the turtle.

"Oh, hey Leo" you smiled, pretending you didn't got scared by his sudden apparence. But he was giggling a bit "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you" he came in, picking up a chair and sitting beside you.

Butterflies started to fly wildly in your belly.

"Come on, Y/N! Say something!" you thought. "So... How's things going?". "Really, Y/N?! Is it all you can say?!" You coursed at yourself.

Leo glanced at you and says confused "Um... Things are great. Thanks." he smiled.

Now is the time. You have to tell! You want to tell! But you're fucking afraid.

Your thoughts says to do not do it but your heart says yes. You took a deep breathe, rubbing your hands on your thighs nervously and finally looked up at him.

"Leo..." You called softly.

"Hm?" He looked back at you in the eyes. It seems that your heart will get out of your chest, and you could feel your cheeks burning.

"I...".

He just tilted his head, waiting for your answer.

"I... am gonna take some coffee. W-Would you like some?" That's it. You wanna punch yourself in the face.

He lift an eyebrow—at least you could see.

"Um... Yes, please". He answered, still suspicious about why are you acting that way. You got up from the chair where you were and walked out of the room, but before you could leave, Leo grabs your arm and makes eye contact with you, worried "Are you okay?"

"Why? Yeah! Why wouldn't I am?" You tried to act as normal as possible, but you couldn't hide it from him. This man can notice if something is right or not. And you fear that. You don't wanna mess your moment. You just want to relax with him, and not put more worry into him. Leo and his brothers are already dealing with Shredder's disappearance which is shaking them inside out frenetically. And the last thing you want is bother him with your love.

"I'll be right back." You gently released from his massive hand and left the room, leaving him alone.

"Damn, Y/N! What's wrong with you?" the whisper leaves your mouth and suddenly you bumped with another woman, hitting your shoulder with hers.

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry! Are you okay?"

"Oh, no. It's okay" the red-haired waved, grinning "I must apologize, I was distracted".

"Don't worry, I was distracted too." You giggled, then kept on your way to find a coffee machine which you have no idea where it is.

For sure your thoughts are torturing and preventing you by something you wish to do. You've been hiding your love for Leo for almost three years.

After ask a cob where to find a coffee machine you finally have found it in somewhere on the third floor of the police station.

"Okay, Y/N. You can do this" you whispered while you fill almost to the top two cups with the dark liquid. "You can do this. You can do this..." You continued to repeat, trying to fill you with courage.

"I'm ready. I can do this!"

Picking up the two cups with dark coffee youheaded back to the small room where the handsome man is waiting for you.

Stopping beside the door frame—you can't see what is happening inside the small room—you took a deep breath and get yourself ready for the long-awaited moment of your life.

Smiling, you walked in.

And froze.

Leo was there, as you expected, but he was kissing the woman who you accidentally bumped early on your way to get the coffee.

Your heart broke like someone has ripped it out from you.

It seems that the world has fallen under you; your body falling into an precipice.

You prepared yourself for three years for nothing. All the worries, expectations, and hopes you used to have, all that moments you've spent practicing what you would say to your best friend, all the great moments you and him spent. Three years of your life were wasted.

Leo and the red-haired woman broke the kiss and directed their eyes on you, surprised. You have to admit that you saw a light blush covering on his cheeks.

"Oh, Y/N." He said, smiling "Allow me to introduce you my girlfriend".

You felt a knot forming in your throat.

"Y/N, this is Melissa. Melissa, this is my best friend, Y/N." He used his hand to mention you and his girlfriend while introduce you both.

"Nice to meet you, Y/N." Melissa waved.

"Nice to meet you, Melissa..." You shares a small smile, hiding your frustrating, and waved back.

You take a step forward to place the cup on the small desk next to you. Some drops of the dark liquid slipped out from the object "You should drink before it gets cold, Leonardo." You simply said, trying so hard to not cry. The leader got surprised when you said his full name. It's rare to you do it. Since you both got intimate—as best friends—you started to say his nickname as you do with the others. He doesn't understand very well the reason of your sudden change.

"Um... Yes, I will". He pronounced every single word slowly, tilting his head a bit as he looks at you. Melissa noticed your uncomfortable expression and asked worried "Are you okay, sweetheart?"

"No!" you screamed mentally. "Yes! I am. I gotta go. Sorry." You whispered the last word, turning and heading out of the room, leaving the woman and your best friend together. Your eyes starts to get warm and a wet feeling of tears disturbs you completely; you refuse to cry in front of important and serious people from this place. So you forced your legs to walk fast towards the exit.

You were so distracted that you almost bumped Chief Vicent. You gasped.

"Hey, Y/N. We're going to back to our reunion right now. Have you seen Leo? I can't find him anywhere." the blond-haired woman asked.

"He-*deep breath* He's in that room." You pointed at the door in the end of the corridor. C. Vicent lift an eyebrow, studying your facial expression.

"Are you okay, Y/N?"

"No, I'm not!" You gulped as see Chief Vicent's eyes going wide by your anger, then you immediately completed, "I'm not feeling good..."

But before Chief Vicent had a chance to talk to you, you lower your head and ran away, the knot in your throat and the pain in your heart growing up wildly.

You couldn't stay in that building anymore, not with Leo there. Not with the news of his sudden dating with someone. All you want now is go home, lay down on your bed, bury your face into a pillow, and cry like there's no tomorrow—well, actually there's no tomorrow for you.

How much time Leonardo is dating? And why April didn't tell you about it? Or any of his brothers? Do someone know about his dating? Or does he didn't tell to anyone yet?

You don't wanna know.

Actually you couldn't blame him because he has no idea that you are in love with him.

And now you have to deal with a new reality.

#catch me rattling on about GG pt 2 for paragraphs

Please continue when you can. I love your reading your analysis!

Apparently I'm incapable of looking over one half of Good Genes without doing the other, so I guess we get a double feature tonight:

Part 1:

I am, of course, contractually obligated to point out my favorite line from the cold open: "My friend Donatello is one of the gentlest souls I've met, with one of the finest minds I've ever known." It seems especially relevant since, later on, Stockman reduces Don to "The smart one"

One thing I noticed this run through is that Leo's speech is slightly different than usual this arc. My favorite is his response to "It's only a matter of time before [Don] is lost forever"; his tone changes dramatically between the two halves of his line, "That's not gonna happen" and "We can't let that happen." The first is his usual 'decisive leader' voice, but the second has this kind of worried warble to it. It's great, and Sinterniklaas gets an A+

Of course there's the breakfast sequence. I don't really have much that hasn't already been said about it, but there's something sweet and sad about how Mike says that he "Just wanted to give him some food". It's just so little, a basic need that he's trying to fill because he cares, and it goes so wrong so fast.

My fourth point is kiiiinda weird and a stretch, but I've always loved the way Outbreak (as an arc) sets up so many bits and pieces that pay off specifically in AiTS/GG. It's usually stuff Don's been working on-- like the trapper gear, the tunnel to April's, or Stockman's helicopter. It's just neat, kind of setting up how indispensable Don's presence really is if he's able to help without being mentally present.

Anyway, right back to Leo and line delivery. The other part of this is that he keeps hesitating and grasping for the right words when it comes to what happened to Don. He refuses to put a name to it when he tells everyone that the helicopter was the last thing Don was working on, "[...] before... Before."

There's also "Don got infected. He's been transformed into... into a monster."

This is something I've definitely written about before, but idk if I ever posted it. Don's behavior after arriving at Area 51 is remarkably intelligent. He's able to use the guards' taser sticks against one another to get free, take out Leatherhead while he has the element of surprise (notable in that Leatherhead was the biggest threat/the one to subdue him in AiTS), turns on Stockman (who was responsible for the transfer in the first place), uses the glass from the containment unit as a shield, and actively prevents Splinter from doing whatever mind thing he did earlier. It's a far cry from lashing out and snapping wildly, and I've always thought it was interesting.

And the tranquilizer scene. Honestly, I find it kind of hard to watch, but I do like the way Leo kneels down next to Don after he's knocked out.

Part 2

I'm gonna talk about cold opens again, because I just realized that this episode essentially begins and ends with the same message: "It's an impossible mission, but what can we do? Our brother is sick, and there's nothing we won't do to save him."

So. The really cool thing about Good Genes Part 2 is how much it directly highlights the lack of Don's presence without actually saying as much. Raph splits off to handle the technology (albeit in an explosive manner) and is seen hauling the duffelbag around. Leo has the headset and is coordinating with April throughout the mission. Which leads me to...

One of the major set pieces in this episode is a callback: the obstacle hallway, Mystic chamber and elevator from Return to New York. I don't think it was an intentional connection, but part of their plan involves repurposing a mech suit to use against the Foot, which is exactly what Don did with Stockman's robotic body in Return. This bulletpoint is 100% me finding meaning where there probably wasn't any, but still.

This one's slightly off topic, but I've said before that I thought it was a dumb decision to have Leo confirm to Karai that the rest of his family was alive and well at the end of Prodigal Son-- this episode is 99% of why I think it was a missed opportunity. Iirc, Karai doesn't appear between then and now, so this would be the first indication she'd have that anyone survived her assault-- and all the boys are here except Don. I just think there's a lot of potential there.

At one point, as Karai calls the Elite into the fray, Leo tells Mikey to take the Heart of Tengu and run-- that he'd hold them off. 'Them' being the Elite; he's about to face the Elite by himself to ensure that this works out. Just try to tell me that's not a statement and a half.

Idk why, but "Get in get out, right? It's not about Karai, right?" always stuck with me.

It's interesting how the episode also calls back to the old intro sequence, where April's piloting a helicopter and Don's jumping onto the rope ladder hanging down from it. Not much to say here, but it's neat.

I'm really bad at making out overlapping voices (and can't make sense of Mikey's line here at all), but after Leatherhead catches Don, you can hear Raph ask him how he's feeling, and Leo say "It's so good to see you again"

I mentioned Raph helping Don to the helicopter in the tags of that last post, but I'm also going to point out that Leo, who is supposed to be flying the helicopter at the end of the episode, is emphatically not watching where he's going.

And, of course, the big one: "I hope you guys didn't go through too much trouble for me."/"Nah!"

In addition to the first point for this episode-- the implication that NO trouble would have been too much-- there's the fact that, when nobody answers for a bit, you can see Don's expression fall. It's that fact that makes me love Mikey's reaction so much-- the way he grins back and tries to sooth that worry down.

Idk how much of this was really analysis, Anon, but I did promise to rattle on for paragraphs, and had a good time doing it. I hope you get some entertainment out of this ;)

Parenting Shell-don with Donatello would Include:

Author’s Note: This took freaking forever when it shouldn’t have and I, for the life of me, can’t comprehend why. I would like to thank @aceing-it-spaceing-it for recommending this prompt to me. Just a reminder that I am not accepting requests at all at the moment. Everything that I usually write is all based on inspiration, but I couldn’t pass this idea up.

Here is an excerpt from my Interested in Donatello’s Tech writing, the piece that has started it all. Since it’s my piece of writing, I can copy and paste it without guilt.

S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N.? He’s your son now. I don’t make the rules.

Donatello programmed him to call you ‘Mistress Y/N’ until his brothers somehow managed to reprogram the A.I. turtle behind his back (once again) to call you ‘Mom’. After chasing his brothers with his rocket hammer and fighting down the sheer embarrassment, Donnie didn’t bother with changing it back. The damage was already done.

A part of him liked it, too, but he is taking that secret to the grave.

Donnie does enjoy the fact that you treat and take care of Shell-don like a son just as much as he does. You make sure to keep track of Shell-don’s coolant to be changed thrice daily so that it doesn’t overheat and scratch behind all 8 of his favorite places whenever you have time.

You even decided to freshen Shell-don’s metal coat with polish every once in a while as a treat for working so hard.

He dubbed you ‘his favorite parent’. Donnie is only partially offended by that.

What a lovely introduction. Anyways-

Shell-don is baby. To you, at least.

“He is not an infant, Y/N. S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. is a very intelligent artificially-created being with a well-crafted independent personality that I have concocted-”

“He is also two-and-a-half months old. HE. IS. BABY.”

“....don’t you mean, “He is A baby?”“

“Don’t sass me, mister.”

“Mom, Dad. Please stop fighting.”

At first, Shell-don couldn’t...compute the reasoning why you were coddling and spoiling him like this. He wasn’t complaining, but he was very confused as to why you insisted he’d rest his hard wire for the afternoon while you took care of the rest of the chores he was assigned.

Shell-don confronted Donnie about this and his creator said:

“They have always had a great fascination with all of my technological inventions and achievements. However, the second you called them ‘Mom’, you completely won their heart. Even though the primary goal for that remark was for my embarrassment, but you made Y/N happy nonetheless. You’re my greatest creation and they acknowledge that. They love you just as much as I do, bud.”

Cue robo-tears.

If Shell-don isn’t scurrying around the lair or resting at his charging station, you’re carrying him around in his arms like how Misty carries Togepi all around Kanto.

While Shell-don goes for Donatello for basic things and physical guidance with topics revolving technology and the sorts, he goes to you for emotional support and chill times.

The warmth and softness of your body hits differently against his metal body when in your embrace, something that Donatello’s reptilian physique somewhat lacked in. Shell-don fully understands why Donnie always tries to “subtly” cuddle up to you whenever he can.

Shell-don is, at times, emotionally stunted with a hint of dead-pan snark. He gets it from his father. -_-

So whenever some sort of argument would ever erupt between the two violet turtles, you do one of three things:

1. You try to sit them down and talk to them both.

2. You pull the “I’m not mad. I’m just disappointed.” move.

or 3. You threaten to call in Dr. Delicate Touch.

So far, nothing failed as of yet.

You hound the two of them to teach you binary code. You can’t tell what kind of conversation they are having when they communicate in 0′s and 1′s and you hate being left out. They always seem to love watching you pout about it and continue with their aimless banter in a playful manner.

Once Donnie constructed a body for Shell-don, you made it your mission to make matching clothing for the two.

Everything felt sweet until Shredder infiltrated the lair.

You were stuck at the lair during the tragic mishap, along with April and Karai. You ran to enlist Shell-don to aid in the fight to meet up with the others...

...until you saw the tech lab completely trashed.

You called out for the violet tech-terrapin. The only noise that answered your calls were sounds of broken static underneath debris and mechanical parts.

“...M..bzzt..m...mo...glitch..om?”

You knew that so long as his memory chip is free of damage and/or corruption, Shell-don could be rebuilt with his memory intact.

But the sight of your son’s tremendously damaged tech anatomy only made you shed your tears harder.

You reunited with Donatello later on, with help from April and her bike.

The violet-cladded terrapin took one look at Shell-don’s chip laying tenderly in your grasp before crushing you in a hug of his own, desperate in trying to find comfort for the both of you.

*Fast forward to after the Finale*

Donatello manages to rebuild Shell-don once the Sewer Fam managed to safely settle back down into their home with massive clean up and renovation.

You guys ever seen the ending scene of Big Hero 6? It’s basically that.

“Did I do well?”

“You did awesome, buddy.”

“We are so proud of you, Shell-don.”

How to fix TMNT 2012:

1. Fix Casey:

I also don't like how they always sideline the human characters? Like I get it. The show is called TMNT. The turtles are our main characters. But so are April and Casey. Casey may not be the most intelligent or powerful, but he still has use. It might've been dark, but using the arc from the comics about his dad being abusive would've added a lot of depth to his character and give a reason for him having a stake in the whole war thing. If his chosen family was better than his real family, then it would make more sense to always be involved when technically he has no other reason to. Think about it. April's got a stake in that she's the key to a worldwide invasion. The turtles are heroes, and beyond that, are drawn in due to the Shredder's involvement. Casey is there because...?

2. Fix April.

I am adding 'resolve love triangle' under this one as well. I can't believe they spent literal seasons on the very week love triangle between her and Casey and Donnie only to just kind of ignore it at the end. Pick a side. The resolution makes for whoever wasn't chosen having to step up and opens new character arcs as well.

Additionally, April is sidelined almost every time she's not a damsel or not having a very special episode. Let her grow! She can be catty, can have anger issues, can do more than just,,, exist. Let her have an arc unreliant on the men in her life. Give her an arc where she and Karai have to face their similarities, and their weaknesses. Give her development!

3. Fix Karai

As much as I love her character design and personality, she undergoes literally no growth in the series. She claims the Hamato name and yet, still acts like Oroku Karai. Learning to forgive and move on, and choosing to be a part of the family that fought so hard for her instead of sitting on the peripheral of it would do wonders to making those super long, 'lets get her back because Leo has a crush and Sensei wants her' arcs work better. Because in the end, why besides an attachment to the past and the concept of blood family is she so badly wanted? She can be mean, cruel, uncaring- April fits the role of daughter far better than Karai ever did because she actually wants that. Just,,, let her bond with the Hamato family. Please.

4. Stop overdoing arcs.

Raph has anger issues. Sensei dies. Karai is kidnapped or against them. All of these happen too many times. It's fine to have a recurring problem. So what if Raph has anger issues? Show that he is working on them and stop claiming them solved every five minutes. Let that resolution come last in the series. I know that the original plan was to kill sensei in the first episode so maybe,,,, do that. Kill him off in season two, when the invasion of New York occurs and let him stay dead. And for god's sake, stop it with Karai. I like her, but you make it really hard to do so when you keep hitting the exact same emotional beats with no changes.

5. Just a little trauma.

These kids have been through a lot. Let them have a little trauma. Nightmares. Jumping at loud sounds. Maybe an addition to soda (since we don't do beer here). Let them feel things!

Michael

Michael woke up a few days later in an unfamiliar place. Strangely, he didn’t feel the need to panic. “Oh. Hey, dude. Didn’t think you’d be able to visit us yet...Well, I mean, visit me”. Michael turned to see the older Mikey in a kneeling position. “Give me a minute. I’m finishing my prayers,” said Mikey. Michael knelt next to him. He looked at the shrine Mikey was praying to and realized with a sinking feeling...this was a shrine that looks like Gram-gram Karai’s shrine at home.

This one had incense burning in a small holder and had a single picture of a human man, a woman, and a baby. Whoever they are, they must be very important to his brothers in this dimension. Michael lowered his head and quietly said a prayer just like his father taught him. When he looked up again, his counterpart closed the shrine and held out a hand to him with a smile. “Thank you,” Mikey quietly said. “It means a lot man”. Then after a minute, he commented, “I didn’t know you spoke Japanese” Michael rubbed the back of his head. “I don’t. Dad just started teaching us after our Gram-gram Karai...well, he taught us how to care for her shrine” Mikey blinked, not sure what to say to that statement. He then led Michael out of what he assumed was a dojo. “Karai’s your grandmother?” “Technically she’s our ancestor. We only knew her for a short while but...we love her you know? She’s amazing...was amazing...I...I really wish we could have gotten more time with her” Michael’s eyes welled up with tears. It still hurts thinking of Gram-gram. He felt a hand on his shoulder. “I’m so sorry for your loss. Hey, you know what? It’s not the same of course but...umm, our Karai? She’s our eldest sister here”. Michael brightened up just a little. “Your sister? That’s so cool!” Mikey chuckled, put on a helmet and pads, and picked up his skateboard. They headed toward the kitchen then Mikey put out a hand for them to stop.

They could hear arguing that was getting louder coming from the kitchen. Mikey sighed then looked at Michael and gave him a pained smile. “We can skip the kitchen for now. You don’t need to see that”. He turned a confused Michael around in the other direction. “Where are we going?” Michael asked. He noticed this lair was very somber, with a lot of grey tones. “To give Donnie the heads up,” Mikey replied. They reached an enclosure that was probably the entrance to Donnie’s lab. Mikey knocked on the door. There was no answer. Mikey sighed. He knocked again. “Donnie”. Nothing. Mikey knocked louder this time, “Hey, Donnie-” Loud footsteps came crashing and something violently wrenched the door open. “STOP IT WITH THE RACKET. WHAT DO YOU WANT!?” Donnie looked furious, eyes much more bloodshot red, and he was jittery with his mask off. Michael hid behind Mikey. Mikey’s eyes widened, hurt. Then he narrowed them and shot out a hand putting Michael firmly behind him. Donnie seemed to realize that it was Mikey that he shouted at and he shrinks back putting his hand up. “I-I didn’t mean...Mikey...I-,” sputtered Donnie.

Mikey looked away. “You might wanna avoid the kitchen. Raph and Leo are at it again”. Mikey turned and walked away from his brother. A hand shot out and grabbed Mikey’s wrist. Mikey didn’t bother to look back. “Mikey…Please…I’m sorry” “Are you really? Then what, the next time I come by, you’ll shout at me to ‘Get the fuck out’ like the last time I tried to talk to you?”, Mikey spat. Donnie shook his head, “No! I’m sorry about that time...I was stressed and-” “You’re always stressed, Donnie. Is that really an explanation or is that an excuse? You need help, man” Michael watched Donnie slowly let go of his brother. Mikey walked away without looking back. Michael stared at Donnie’s distraught and heartbroken expression. His eyes widened when he saw Donnie scratched at a scale on his arm then pulled it out making it bleed. Donnie didn’t seem to notice. Michael scrambled after Mikey, “Hey...um...Your brother… Donnie...he...his arm… his arm is bleeding” Mikey winced...then pushed on. “He gets mad when you point it out to him and does it some more. The best thing to do is ignore it”. Michael shook his head, “Dude, no. That’s not…” “I know. Just...just leave it. Please,” Mikey said quietly. Michael stopped and looked at his counterpart in concern. Mikey sighed and patted Michael’s shoulders. “Come on, let’s have some fun”

“Dude...Is--Is this safe?” Michael asked, eyes wide at the steep drop of the building. Mikey adjusted his helmet and pads. Then he positioned his skateboard over the edge. “It is! Think of this as a huge half-pipe, yeah?” Mikey said excitedly. Michael frowned. “Sure….but it’s made of glass…” “Plexi. It’s pretty sturdy. Here, I’ll do a run so you can stop worrying,” Mikey bumped shoulders with Michael. He positioned himself on the skateboard. But before Michael could stop him, their surroundings suddenly changed. “Woah!!!” They both landed on their bums and looked at their surroundings. It looked like they were inside the sewers again...except this time it’s spacious with lots of clear water flowing through. Mikey helped Michael up and looked around. “Oooh. It looks like the lair except it isn’t as colorful as your home but it isn’t...um...grey as mine” “You think this is Mike’s home? Let’s find him!” “Yeah!” “Race ya!” The two orange-clad boys ran off giggling and chasing each other. They soon found a large area and heard voices.

“So, can you tell us why you called us here? Is it because of the kids you guys said you have been “visiting” lately?” Mikey put up a finger to his lips and Michael nodded as they quietly sneaked closer to the group they now realize were the four Splinterson brothers and two humans. The lady with fire red hair leaned on a table and said excitedly, “And can you tell us what they’re like? Please? The last dimensional versions of us were older” Mike came out with beer bottles in both his hands and passed them around. Leonardo chuckled and nursed his bottle. “Really young. Although one Leo just turned eighteen, the other is just fourteen. Why do you want to know, April, Casey?”. “That’s their April and Casey?” Michael asked, surprised. Mikey tilted his head. “They look like ours….but a lot older”. Michael blinked, “Really!?” “Shh!” April took a swig of her beer, “Professional curiosity. Not like Donatello will tell us what he’s working on” Donatello was on a table, tinkering with something. “Believe it or not, a stable portal to each other’s dimensions,” he explained without looking up. “Don and Donnie are working on a portal on their end”. “Oh my gosh, oh my gosh!” Michael whispered gleefully. Mikey looked away thoughtfully. “I guess that’s why he’s much more irritable as of late”. Michael stopped hand waving and frowned. “You...You don’t mean that, right Mikey?”. Mikey sighed, “Yeah...sorry”. “Don and Donnie, huh? You guys gave them nicknames already?” Casey said amusedly. Raphael clinked their bottles together as he passed by. “Makes it easier to figure out who’s who,” Raphael said. He settled next to Leonardo who, to Mikey and Michael’s surprise, took out a cigarette and lit it. “Not in the lab, Leo,” Donatello reprimanded without looking up. Leonardo moved to an open window. “Sorry, Donny. Anyway, April, what were you asking again?” “You were talking about the other Turtles! Tell me about them, please guys? What do they look like? How are they different from you?”

Leonardo chuckled. “Well for starters, one set of turtles are different species and ages from each other” “Oh my gosh! Really? I'd love to see that!” “Same! Ah man, that must be awkward tho, huh? They probably don’t have that much in common with each other…” Raphael looked at Leonardo and smirked. “Actually, the kids are really close. Like their own Raphie is the biggest, the eldest, and their current leader-” “Oh my gosh!” “What, no way!” “Yeah- I know! But he’s such a good kid. His brothers are very protective of him and him of them. He’s a lot calmer too. Must be because all his brothers are different types of hyper-” “So he offsets them!” April finished, her eyes shining. “He sounds amazing!” “He is! He knitted sweaters for Klunk and Raph’s Chomper-” Mike put down his beer bottle eyes wide and a touched smile on his face, “He did? That’s--wow. What a sweet kid”. “I know! Let me finish. He also gave Leonardo his blessing to train Leon to take over as leader sometimes...speaking of which--,” Raphael, Mike, and Donny put down what they were doing and glared at their brother. “---Leo, I hope you didn’t give the kid a hard time. He was acting out at the table” Leonardo lifted his hands in frustration, almost dropping his cigarette. “It wasn’t me!” He sighed. “But you’re right. I didn’t do anything to stop Leon and Leo from fighting and it turned into a huge misunderstanding...I’m sorry”. He put his free hand on Raphael's shoulder. “Good thing Raphie was there, huh? You all should have seen it. Leon...Leon’s a good kid but he’s...he’s so carefree. But I can see so much potential in him, and Raphie confirmed it. The kid is a natural- it’s a shame I also see he doesn’t know how to follow instructions or doesn’t have that much confidence in himself--” Mike came over and nudged his brother’s shoulders. “He’s a teenager . An actual teenager living his best life. From what I see, their Splinter raised them as actual kids instead of ninjas”. He looked wistful, “I’m so happy for them”. Michael looked down, red in the face. He felt a pat on the head and he turned to see Mikey, also smiling wistfully, “Don’t be sad, man. That’s a good thing”. Michael looked confused, “But...what does that mean?”. Mikey doesn’t answer him. Leonardo smiled, “Heh. You��re right, Mike. I’m happy for the kid too. As for Leo...the kid is quite capable and knowledgeable but...something’s off. Like really off, I can feel it. I hope the two of them won’t resent me too much when I train with them”. Raphael leaned back and sighed, “Same with Raph. He’s actually a quiet kid but I could feel something’s wrong. I could feel the anger and frustration but I don’t think it was at me or Raphie. Like it was directionless and directed everywhere” Leonardo took a drag of his cigarette and smiled wryly at his brother. “Looks like you’ll have to guide him, Raphael”. Raphael rolled his eyes and chuckled. They all looked over at Donatello. Donatello continued working. April poked him. “Come on Donny, spill-” “No”

“What? Why?” “Patient-Doctor Confidentiality” Raphael frowned. “The kids aren’t our clients-” “Even more reason to not say anything. It’s not any of our business-” It was Mike who interrupted. “That’s all well and good, Donny, but as your brothers, don’t think we do not notice how your arm bleeds or your recent sliced thumb the last time we visited the kids”. Raphael and Leonardo got up in alarm. Mikey looked down and glared at the floor, frustrated. Donatello sighed in annoyance. “It’s fine. I’ll handle it”.

Mike frowned, “If you say so. But if you need help-”. This time Donatello looked up and gave his brother a fond smile, “Yeah, don’t worry. If it’s too much, I’ll ask for your help”. Raphael shook his head. “Or mine. It sounds like my area of expertise too”. Donatello went back to what he was working on. “It’s better if I handle it. They open up quicker and better to someone familiar. Even if that person is a different version of themselves” April tapped her chin, “I don’t want to diagnose without getting the full picture but...it sounds like sensory overload that is triggered due to...something. Stress is a factor but another could be trauma-” Donatello shook his head, “April, I’m sorry but what did we all agree on in early diagnosis?” April rubbed her arms sheepishly. “Sorry, Donny. I can’t help it. How about you Mike?” Mike turned his head and was about to reply… then he swiveled his head in the direction of Mikey and Michael and grinned. The boys gulped. “I could tell you, but I think it’s better if they can explain themselves. Boys, come out” Michael rushed out and hugged Mike. Mike gave out a laugh and a slight “Oof. Hey, bud”, while Mikey lagged behind. Mike put a hand on Mikey’s head and rubbed it. Mikey chirred quietly in response. Michael chirred back happily. “Woah, ASL, Japanese, and Turtle speak. You guys are really talented, you know that?” Mike commented, impressed. “Ooh! They’re here? How are they? Are they alright? How did they feel when they traveled here?” Casey asked intrigued. April rocked on her heels excited, “Hi kids! You probably have guessed but I’m April O’Neil and this is my husband, Casey Jones! You’re welcome to our humble home any day” “Wow! Casey and April are married here? Tell them I give my thanks, Mike,” Michael cheered and he hopped up and down excitedly. “Married...Woah...uh...um tell them thanks! I’d love to meet them face to face,” Mikey said. Mike relayed what the boys said and April clapped her hands excitedly. “I can’t wait to meet you all! When Donny finishes the portal anyway” “Actually-” “What’re your hobbies? I’d love to get to know you!” Mike grinned, “Little Michael here-” “Hey!” “who is a smidge smaller than me, is a really good cook. You should see him in the kitchen. He also uses a kusari-fundo instead of nunchakus, am I right?” “And saws! But I can use nunchucks too when I use ninpo-” “And Mikey here is a master prankster like me. He can dance and is really creative. Come on dude, own it! Also, you’re like what 5’6? I’m a 5’4 man. You’re tall, kid. And you’ll grow even more I bet” Mikey slightly retreated into his shell, embarrassed. Michael nodded enthusiastically. “They’re both good skateboarders. Must have gotten it from me-Hey, Raph, not cool!” Leonardo chuckled because Raphael had thrown a well-aimed grape. Michael kept bouncing up and down. “This is so, so cool!” Mikey put a steadying hand on Michael, “What were you guys saying about clients and diagnosis and stuff?” “Hey guys, the kids wanna know about our day jobs. Is that cool?” When Donny, Leonardo, and Raphael nodded their heads, Mike replied, “We’re therapists, and April and Casey work in the same field too. Analyzing behavioral patterns come out naturally to us” Mikey scrunched his nose while Michael let out an “Oooo!”. “That’s...cool? What do you guys do?”. Mike patted his plastron proudly and gave a huge grin. “I’m a certified youth and school counselor! Anything that needs medicine, I supply” Michael was gob-smacked, but Mikey looked confused. “I’m surprised but...why would ninja need to do all that stuff?” Mike gave the boys a sad smile. “Because there is an influx of mutants in the city and see, there aren't a lot of people willing to help them or the humans lower in the social ladder who desperately need help”. Michael is thirteen and is the youngest of his brothers” April gasped and put a hand over her mouth while Casey sucked in a horrified breath. Splinter closed his eyes. “Each iteration gets younger and younger. I grieve for the innocence lost, and I am sorry” Both Michael and Mikey looked down solemnly. “It is a shame I cannot see or hear them-” “Excuse me, Father, but this is what I have been trying to say since earlier,” Donatello interrupted. He gave a grin and pulled out seven crystal wristbands and pointed to a floating, glowing, orb. Donatello looked to the side and chuckled as if he responded to something only he could hear. “The portals are done and stabilized on all our ends. We can now visit each other”
