Could you believe I wasn’t even in college when sbg released in originals? Now I’m in my third year of college. A lot happened, dad passed away a few months ago but I’m still doing fine I think. I love trauma dumping 🫶

How Sharks4kids Is Changing the Narrative on Sharks

I am honored to have had the privilege of collaborating with Sharks4Kids, led by president and founder Jillian Morris, for my capstone project at Unity Environmental University.

This project involves the creation of educational tools to promote the organization's mission and highlight the critical role of sharks in marine ecosystems.

Sharks4Kids aims to foster a new generation of shark advocates by providing dynamic educational materials, including virtual lessons and in-person visits, to teach younger generations about the importance of sharks.

This partnership has been instrumental in aligning my work with their mission to educate and inspire future shark conservationists.

After discussing my previous capstone project with the instructor and my Senior Advisor we came to the conclusion that what I plan to do is Promotional and Merchandise Design. As such my project has changed slightly, I am creating promotional materials for a video game currently in production (yes, a real Indie game) If you could take a moment and respond to my survey to help me get a good idea of what consumers want to see in promotional materials I would be ecstatic! oh god I can’t think of a good capstone project 😭 I want to do quad practices but I also want to do a powerpoint on alterhumanity but I also want to do a project on non traumagenic plurality but I also wanna do a project on my documentation of getting top surgery but also a powerpoint on the pointlessness of binary sex/gender (and how xenogenders and contradictory labels can help break down that binary), but also also uhhhh fuck I can’t think 💔💔💔

@ao3org Do yall know if it's against AO3's terms of service to post a work but it's just a link to a survey? I need to reach the Harry Potter fandom and people who engage with fan works and AO3 is a platform I want to discuss in my survey/class project, but idk if it's against TOS to share a work that describes my project and has a link to a Google form. There's no monetary gain from my survey, so I'm thinking it's alright but I don't want to annoy people so it's better to double check!

Project Update #7

The last stretch of my capstone project was mostly finishing the digital art work as well and finalizing the last few videos. These last moments really emphasized  how important it is to take advantage of the time you have to work on this project. 

I ran into some unexpected challenges with the final piece. I’m not exactly sure what caused it, but I hit a bit of an artist’s block. I kept changing my mind mid-render, but luckily, since it was digital, I had the flexibility to shift directions more easily. Compared to when I had to do it on the acrylic paintings. This last piece actually helped me confront something I’ve struggled with for a long time which is knowing when to stop. I have a habit of endlessly tweaking a piece, always feeling like it’s not quite done. But because of the time constraints in this project, I had to learn to recognize when something is finished and let it go.

Looking back, this capstone has been a real growing experience. I’ve not only improved existing skills like painting, illustrating, writing, and editing, but also picked up new ones. Like learning self-direction and time management. At the beginning, I constantly second-guessed myself, which I’ve come to realize is part of the process. I faced hurdles such as creative blocks, burnout, and moments of task paralysis, but instead of avoiding those challenges like I normally would, I had to work through them. Oh and I’ve finished the digital art and have posted them on Tiktok (Mythic Moon Lore) as well as Instagram  (@mythic.moon.lore_art).

Well, here I am. I am working on my Capstone project for Graduation. I am designing an app for a Pet Grooming Shop. If you have a pet, have a pet that gets groomed regularly or just want to help out and answer the questions in a "pretend" fashion would you please fill out the following Google Doc Questionnaire so I can move forward with my project.
