Stranger, as usual, stared into Blackspace’s comforting darkness. He was alone. That wasn’t odd.. He always seemed to find himself alone, no matter what happened. 

He was considering visiting Headspace. Perhaps, just perhaps, his new friends might wish to spend time with him.

…

Who was he kidding. No, they wouldn’t.

Kel and Mari were too kind to admit it, but they were unnerved by him. Aubrey and Hero didn’t even try to hide their horror. Omori simply hated him.

And…well…Basil…

Actually, Basil quite liked him. And he quite liked Basil.

..Yes. That is what he would do. He would go find Basil. That sounded like a lovely idea.

The colors of Headspace were giving Stranger a serious headache, He couldn’t find anyone. He was currently peering around a tree-trunk at Mari, watching her sitting at her picnic blanket and humming some oddly nostalgic tune. 

She must get lonely sometimes. He was certain of it.

He heard voices approaching from behind him.

“Hey, look!! There’s Mari!!” Basil’s voice called.

Aubrey let out an annoyingly high-pitched squeal.

Stranger watched as 4 kids ran by and joined Mari at her picnic blanket, none taking notice of him.

…There were 5 children in-

Stranger felt a hand on his shoulder before he could dematerialize, and he whipped around.

Omori stood there.

…

They stared at each other for a moment. Stranger was paralyzed with shock for a few seconds, and then he regained his composure.

“Ah!! Omori. Lovely weather, isn’t it?” Stranger said, his excuse of a question spoken with the intention of Omori leaving him the hell alone for once-

He mentally facepalmed as he watched Omori roll his eyes. Why had he said that? That was the oldest trick in the-

“It is nice weather, sure.” Omori huffed, the hint of a smirk on his lips.

Stranger peered at him curiously. What was Omori trying to do here? “Are you having fun with your friends, Dreamer?” He inquired, raising an eyebrow.

“...Yep. Yeah. We’re having loads of-...” Omori paused. “...What did you just call me?”

Stranger took a moment to process the question.

“...My apologies, Omori.” He corrected.

Omori nodded, and they went back into their staring contest.

“What have you all been up to today?” Stranger said, not breaking his gaze.

“We visited Captain Spaceboy.” Omori said simply.

His stare was getting a bit unnerving, but Stranger held it with the same intensity.

“Come sit down, you idiot.” Omori said, tugging on Stranger’s wrist before he had the chance to protest.

Omori firmly sat down on the picnic blanket, tugging Stranger down with him.

Aubrey shrieked briefly and tugged an absolutely clueless Basil in front of her, as if he was a shield.

“Aubrey, what-?” Basil questioned.

“Oh!! Hi, Stranger!!” The ocean-haired boy greeted cheerfully. “Are you doing alright?” He asked, tilting his head.

“Yes, fine, thank you.” Stranger replied. “You seem to be doing well yourself. Having a nice day?” He added.

“Mhm!! Spaceboy bought me a Sno-Cone~” Basil answered in a sing-songy tone.

“BASILLLLL…stop yammering… we get it, we GET IT!! Captain Spaceboy likes you the best, ya don’t gotta rub it in, ya know!!” Kel cried with a pout on his face.

Basil’s face burned red with embarrassment. Before he could say anything, however, Aubrey exploded.

“Kel!! Don’t be mean to Basil!! He’s been through a lot recently, and plus, Spaceboy has a right to favorites!! If I had to choose, I’d say Basil was my favorite too!!” She yelled.

Stranger caught Omori rolling his eyes. He let out a huff of amusement- they both knew Aubrey’s words were complete and utter BS.

“No you wouldn’t!! Your favorite is Omori, you big fat liar!!” Kel retorted. Aubrey stuck her tongue out.

“Oh, you- ugh!! Can it, Kel!!” She said, punching him in the arm.

Hero sighed.

“You two… be quiet for once, will you-? You’re gonna end up scaring our shadowy friend off.” He said, not directly speaking Stranger’s name.

Stranger had never felt pain before, but there was a pang in his chest, and he was sure that’s what it was.

hey so you know how captain spaceboy's name (obviously) has 'captain' in front of it? and how space ex-boyfriend doesn't? that's because he neglected and effectively abandoned his title of the captain whilst dating sweetheart and when refusing to leave his bed after their breakup. he still values the connection to sweetheart more than he does to his crew; he isn't the captain when he's ex-boyfriend, because he doesn't care about leading the crew. the only thing on his mind is sweetheart. like how when he becomes space (ex)husband, that too replaces the 'captain' and 'boy' parts. he's not a boy with sweetheart, he's a man; a suitor. and he's not a captain. he refuses to be, because he has to put her first, even when they've left each other. stranded on a mountain and slowly freezing to death, spaceboy doesn't care about the pirates, or his father, or his own identity. he cares about sweetheart separating from him again, and the heartache he felt as a result.

sweetheart's impact on him in canon is so huge but i don't think we as a fandom tend to truly understand that. he changes his name for her, has multiple identity crises, would've been ready to die if it hadn't been for omori & co's intervention. spaceboy had his faults just as sweetheart did, but he also had it rough with her. sweetheart expects a partner to give up everything for her and yet is unwilling to sacrifice the same. just look at "sweetheart is for sharing" and rococo's entire thing! she's not something 'girlfriend', something 'wife'. she's always duchess sweetheart. sweetheart is able to prioritise herself to the point where it becomes a problem. she doesn't care about spaceboy because she deserves the best, and she doesn't believe that's him. spaceboy sacrifices it all, and they always end up falling out. and he always ends up more depressed each time.

'captain' is more than just a position. it's spaceboy when he's secure and confident in himself. it's spaceboy when he has friends. it's spaceboy when he isn't destroying himself with a toxic relationship that's only going to hurt him.

his father, captain pinkbeard, knows that, and wants to keep things that way. i'm so glad spaceboy has a (somewhat) secure support structure, because boy does he need one.

Characters I Headcanon have Bipolar disorder

(From the perspective of someone living with Bipolar 2)

This is all meant to be in good fun and I’m no mental health expert; merely someone who has been through lots of therapy

Let’s Begin!

1. Rin Okumura from Blue Exorcist

I’ve always related to Rin Okumura, especially during the time I was under the mistaken diagnosis of ADD. I was surprised to learn from this that a lot of symptoms of bipolar can look like ADD/ADHD at times.

For example, Rin is shown to be someone who is easily distracted or fixated on new topics. He also tends to sleep a lot which is confirmed in the manga by the fact that this boy sleeps 12 hours every night. And finally a major factor that clued me in is how easily he is swayed by his emotions which leads him to act impulsively.

Rin’s emotions tie him to his demonic half which in turn can cause a lot of inner turmoil for him. I’m sure anyone with bipolar can relate in feeling like their change to either a manic/hypomanic state can cause them to feel like a demon and out of control. But as is shown in the series, by practicing to focus on his emotions, Rin learns to lessen and control his symptoms.

2. Gangle from The Amazing Digital Circus

I know I know, I’m lowkey pulling for stereotypes here with the tragedy and comedy masks. And on top of that this is a series with only a pilot so we hardly know anything concrete about her character. 😂

Everyone in the digital circus seems to play a role based off of their avatar given to them. As a being with two different masks, Gangle is very sensitive to the way in which she acts when her comedy mask is broken.

She tends to be very anxious and sensitive to the events that unfold around her both physically and mentally (she unravels from a mere bowling ball being thrown her way by Jax).

In some fandom interpretations of her character I’ve seen interesting depictions that also heavily give bipolar vibes like Gangle having an abstracted self tied to her ribbons or forcing on her comedy mask. I love Gangle and this pilot.

3. Captain SpaceBoy from Omori

Oh poor Captain SpaceBoy. He’s so heavily influenced by any mood swings he experiences that he seems to take on an entirely new persona whether it be SpaceBoyfriend, Space-ExBoyfriend, SpaceHusband, or Space-ExHusband.

When you first meet his character, you can clearly see he is depressed as he refuses to leave his bed and throws away any special possessions that remind him of his heart ache. Later on he even goes as far as to isolate himself on top of a snowy mountain when the heartache returns to him again..

He is also easily consumed by a rage which seems similar to a manic/hypomanic state that leads him to fight the main cast of characters. Also when it comes to his special boss battle I find it interesting how you can only defeat him by fighting him in certain states of emotion.

4. Howl Jenkins Pendragon from Howl’s Moving Castle

Howl is undeniably a drama Queen, but some of the ways in which he takes certain actions give me some bipolar vibes.

There is of course the infamous scene in which he throws a tantrum due to Sophie organizing his hair dye potions. He swings very quickly from being irritated and enraged to absolutely inconsolable and depressed. He even spends that next couple hours in bed after this scene.

Howl also tends to lead himself to danger as he appears to be in heightened states of euphoria when he pushes himself to the limit with his magic. He is also rather impulsive when it comes to the relationships he makes with others if we are going off of his book persona.

But above all!! All these characters are shown to be good people who genuinely care about the feelings of others and try to do their best to help even when their own mental health is bringing them down.

Bipolar individuals are more than their disorder; we are all kind people ♥️

Plural!Sunny and Alive!Mari AU for my personal Omori Angst fulfillment needs (DON'T LIKE THEN DNI):

Sunny: 

Full name is Sunny Suzuki.

Their body is Japanese and Filipino American, and also intersex/hermaphrodite with a chromosomal, chemical and gonad variation! He looks mostly like a boy but has VERY androgynous and even somewhat feminine traits in his body!

They were born on July 20th, 1987 to Masayoshi Suzuki and Christine Suzuki (nee Bishop) in their hometown of Faraway Town, Nevada, and are three years younger than Mari, their older sister.

Sunny is definitely a cat person- he loves the texture of Mewo’s fur and will pet him as a stim whenever he’s stressed.

Transneutral nonbinary bigender rosboy who sometimes presents femme and uses primarily he/him but also she/they pronouns and neopronouns. We stan-

Greysexual but also pansexual and nebularomantic.

Both Sunny and Omori do like Basil as a close friend, and both Sunny and Omori have a small crush on Aubrey without being aware that Aubrey feels the same.

Sunny likes steak, steak is a safefood for him: he’s very texture sensitive to food. He does have other favorite foods, but foods such as eggplant, asparagus, sweet potatoes, squash, papaya, black pepper, et cetera, are an instant no-no.

Sunny’s mother has tried to incorporate steak into other foods she makes for him, but in a few cases Sunny doesn’t eat them. Simple salted and grilled steak drizzled lightly with sauce is all he asks for, and it is something he will gladly eat.

He shares many interests with Omori, such as having the same favorite toys, sweets, videogames and comic books (such as Captain Spaceboy).

Sunny is unaware of Omori’s existence until much, much later when he comes back into consciousness again several weeks upon a few months after the recital.

Shy and quiet, he rarely ever smiles.

Sunny’s hair is vantablack, and his eyes are nebulously dark- unlike Mari’s hair, which has a brown-ish tint to it and her eyes are warm and the color of dark chocolate and honey. You could put Sunny in a room where the walls are pure light and his hair would still be pure black.

Sunny and Omori both are big fans of flowers such as the black dahlia, queen of the night tulip, white tulips and white coronations.

When Sunny was younger, he would often zone out and wander off to places, especially particularly fascinating places that caught his attention and interest. Mari and the others had to frequently run after him and drag him back to their intended destination/original location- however, zoning out became dissociative fugues.

When he was younger, he would try and mimic Mari because he looked up to her so much- everything from her speech to her mannerisms and the way she worded certain phrases. This somewhat is like the creation of Omori and his personality in this AU, who was very similar to his sister and his friends in many aspects despite also retaining many personality fragments of Sunny. Yet, Omori is more like Mari, and takes inspiration as well from fragments of the values and demeanors of the Faraway Friends.

Both Sunny and Omori go virtually nonverbal when emotionally distressed, and also when dissociating.

They are autistic and have alexithymia. They pretend to have great memory but actually begin to have terrible memory when he has his first blackout switch an hour before the recital.

Literally has zero self-esteem, someone give this sweetie a hug-

Always loves and cares deeply about his sister and his friends.

He doesn’t have the best relationship with his dad- his mother infantilizes him and his father trivializes his troubles and pain and emotionally neglected him in favor of Mari, the golden child.

He’s traumatized by his parents’s unstable marriage and all the fights they would have, as well as the lake incident and all the pressure they and Mari would put on him to do exceptional at everything they wanted him to do and uphold the family reputation.

Their family is only picture-perfect on the outside- Mari basically had to raise him due to the dysfunctional relationship between their parents. Mari was essentially the Golden Child in her father’s eyes and that also damaged her.

Sunny is very creative and has a capacity for dissociation alongside his rich inner world, which is why he blacked out and switched in his room after he pushes Mari down the stairs and Hero caught her before she could suffer any injuries (save for a little bruise on her legs and the initial shock from falling).

His repetitive childhood trauma may seem minor to others around him, but to him it was utterly damaging and psychologically scarring. He did have several happy memories throughout his childhood, though.

He suffered really bad injuries when he almost drowned in the lake in this AU and has medical trauma from going to the hospital. 

His father’s love was conditional in every way- whenever Sunny did fail, he was subjected to harsh emotional and verbal mistreatment, followed by gaslighting and trivializing after said incident, leading Sunny to develop a mixed and turbulent relationship with his father. Sunny would walk on eggshells around his father similar to how his mother did, and every time his father would point out that Sunny was ‘just like his mother’ or ‘just like Mari’, Sunny would grow increasingly uncomfortable.

Of course, Sunny was always in touch with his more feminine side, and being told by kids often to ‘man up’ or to ‘speak up more’ when he was younger didn’t exactly help with such a feeling.

Doesn’t consider home to be exactly a safe place, and is overattached to and emotionally dependent on Mari because of the emotional immaturity of his parents- because of this he’s a huge fan of escapism and has struggled with maladaptive coping and daydreaming since he was a very young child.

He is significantly more timid, volatile and self-destructive than Omori.

Omori:

Unlike in the canon of Omori being a manifestation of Sunny’s guilt, anger, negative emotions and self-hatred/unhealthy escapism, Omori in this AU is also "Sunny", in a way: he's Sunny’s protector, and was created to be a coping mechanism. But they both experience many terrible side effects for the both of them such as blackout, dissociation and large gaps in memory and much more.

Because of this, instead of being a blank slate, Omori is instead a distinct personality visibly different than that of Sunny’s despite them being both technically “the same person”, and despite the similarities they may share in certain traits, habits, likes and dislikes.

Omori is noticeably more outwardly expressive, compassionate, gentle and merciful than Sunny.

Omori was the name engraved on Mari’s piano as well as the piano in Faraway Town’s church- Sunny’s mind, and therefore Sunny himself, had created Omori to be a 'better' version of himself so he could dissociate during upsetting and/or traumatic events and remain functional afterwards, and even if Omori had never made his presence clearly known to Sunny, he knew that Sunny always had a feeling that something protected him during his darkest hours and that he was never alone, which comforted him.

He is also autistic and has alexithymia.

Transneutral genderfloren using all pronouns and he’s grey aroace (rarely feels romantic attraction except towards Aubrey, exclusively asexual).

If Sunny and Omori were made aware of each other’s existence and acknowledged each other officially, they would have an extremely close relationship, brotherly and familial and deep in nature. After all, they do share everything- and by everything, I mean everything, from a body to a heart to a mind to a soul. Everything.

A few minutes before the recital, Sunny blacked out and Omori had taken over with no memory of pushing Mari down the stairs or Hero catching her. He didn’t have any memory of his arguement with Mari or nearly being about to destroy his violin in a fit of rage. As a result, he acted cordially and sweetly towards Mari instead of out of contempt and seething fury, which shocked and utterly confused both Mari and Hero. Why exactly was Sunny acting so different and cheery, and being significantly more emotive than usual?

Omori is more like Mari in terms of personality (kind of like how Sunny would always mimic Mari when he was younger)- he is outwardly more kind, goofy, gentle, polite, and the manifestation of more positive emotions of Sunny (with a more carefree and mischievous side to him, unlike Sunny, who is uptight, paranoid and straightforward). He esembles Mari in terms of personality and demeanor, as well as some of her likes and dislikes. Mari grows incredibly unsettled when she realizes this when Omori switches in for the first time and the Faraway Friends get to know Omori better.

For example, his favorite color is purple, he’s an incredibly forgiving and perceptive person, he loves challenges and riddles, and he is somewhat of a semi-perfectionist (nowhere near as bad as Mari- and yes, Mari has OCD in my AU, pry this from my hands I dare you).

Omori is visibly more different than Sunny in the way that he carries himself- his face muscles relax, his features become more kind, loose and expressive, he becomes more soft-spoken and polite/sweetly sincere in his words, his brows unscrunch, his muscles slacken, and he looks significantly more approachable than Sunny, who’s blunt, vigilant and cliff-faced most of the time.

Even his handwriting and drawing style changes- although they both can draw, Sunny’s drawings are usually more morbid and abstract in nature, while Omori draws whatever he sees/creates in the system’s inner world/headspace- the latter loves to use markers that are purple and turquoise, and just loves pastel and neon colors and palette and draws frequently with them in general. Sunny meanwhile, prefers colors like black, white and red. They both love the colors purple and yellow, however, because those are Mari's favorite colors.

Omori has a very prominent sweet tooth, even more so than Sunny.

Just like Sunny, Omori dearly loves Mari and his friends, and has a complicated and strained relationship with his and Sunny’s father. He sought to keep his existence a secret from the rest of the group until the recital, when he was forced to take control of the body to protect Sunny from harm as he was aware that his other self had self-destructive tendencies.

The purpose of Omori’s creation was to protect and take care of Sunny as well as the body that they shared, and Omori loves and cares about Sunny more than anything. Sunny, being Omori’s first priority first and foremost above all else, was the reason why when the former was having a panic attack an hour or two before the recital, Omori forced Sunny to dissociate and black out, and he forced himself to take control and discarded all plans of keeping his existence a secret to the world: protecting Sunny was paramount to ensure their survival and their continued existence. 

Afterwards, Sunny remained blacked out for a long period of time, and Omori was the one interacting with the physical world, including Mari, Hero, and all his friends and the residents of Faraway Town. Everyone was very unsettled by how different “Sunny” was acting, and nobody really knew the truth behind why. The Faraway Friends resolved to try and find out somehow.

Sunny didn’t break the violin in this AU, Mari stopped him and grabbed onto his wrist so tight it sort of bruised it before he could throw the violin down the stairs. This still resulted in an argument, and Hero did catch Mari when Sunny pushed her down the stairs in a fit of anger before she could receive any injuries. The recital went on as usual, so did the pizza dinner afterwards, but it wasn’t Sunny playing at that recital alongside Mari, nor was it Sunny talking to his friends: it was Omori.

Okay so I'm seeing a dozen different au's of omori and I ended up kinda brainstorming one in the shower and Ima just throw it out there because why not.

This does contain kind of Omori spoilers so if you haven't finished the game probably best not to read this.

The au is honestly pretty bare bones, it's essentially omoriboy with the plot beats of omori and Scott Pilgrim I guess??? It'll make more sense why I say Scott Pilgrim once I've actually got a good idea of what I'm thinking of but just bear with me.

Okay so the whole plot goes that Mari and Sunny DIDN'T meet any of the faraway friends (at least for now) and the both of them became incredibly reclusive. Mari being Sunny's only real friend and almost parental figure spent almost all her time keeping him safe and comforted, their parents often got into fights and their father as usual in headcanons/au's is absolutely awful berating Mari constantly and Mari having to take blows for Sunny and get into screaming matches to defend him. This pressure alongside the pressure of good grades and such becomes too much for Mary and she either

1. Actually hangs herself which causes their father to finally pack his crap and leave but leaving Sunny alone and feeling guilty (I don't think I'll go down this route unless I can expand upon it enough that it makes sense for Mari to do this as you know suicide is pretty damn serious and I don't want to use it as a dumb plot device)

2. After some sort of fight their Dad leaves but the damage is done as Mari falls into a deep depression and Sunny is left feeling hopeless to helping her as he doesn't know how to and their mother isn't exactly helping (not out of malice but she most likely is struggling severely aswell and doesn't know what to do). Sunny does try to help Mari by going out to get stuff for her, doing activities with her and overall trying to keep her happy however none of these have ever been a permanent fix which leaves Sunny giving up hope over time.

Route 2 seems the most likely as having Mari live is always a neat concept as well as I enjoy the role swap of Mari being Sunny's carer to Sunny trying to be Mari's the best he can.

Okay onto the main boy himself, Sunny. Sunny in this is mentally ALOT better than the original Sunny but still has a lot of issues, fear, anxiety, autism, trauma. It's all there but toned down to where he's able to function a lot better. A majority of his anxiety comes from his crippling loneliness from not having any friends as well as fear over leaving Mari alone for too long. Sunny in this although quiet is a lot more chatty, think about the original Omoriboy for an idea. In this I also imagine that Sunny is in fact the creator of captain SpaceBoy! In this au SpaceBoy is a character Sunny made as a comic to keep him distracted and have a passion project to try and enjoy which he really does!! Also this isn't just a fun detail this is important as Sunny dedicates a lot of time to this comic, moments from Sunny's life directly affect the comic and Sunny submits his comics often to either a local writers group or local competitions; not for prizes but just to share his work. I might tweak the idea of Sunny submitting his comic to local clubs a bit to make it make a little more sense but I plan for Sunny writing captain SpaceBoy to be the main reason he meets a certain someone ;)

That's about as far as I've thought but if I come up with any more ideas I'll share them.

I've got some loose ideas of headspace and the friends but they're not very clear the now.

Also Omori is non existent in this au with Sunny being the one to explore his Dreamworld. He may show up as something else but It's Sunny exploring his dreams in this.

This Au is far more light hearted and comedic than regular Omori as if I do continue with this I want it just to be a silly little thing to play about with. It's still sad but not base game Omori sad. It'll mainly just be Sunny living his life and coming out of his shell and hopefully bringing Mari with him.

I haven't used Tumblr in so long, but you know what- why not start using it again?

So for my first(kinda) post, I'm posting the man I'm obsessing over. I spent so long on this, wanted to do the boy justice. Been obsessed with this man, like, at this point I would wanna meet him and platonically marry him and make sure he finds happiness because I adore his character that much-

God, OMORI got me screwed up, dude. Can’t function for five seconds without being like “Mmmhhh, Space Boyfriend deserves better.” We need more art of this boy.

Probably won't post much, but I plan to draw some other Omori characters.

☆Sunflower: Sunny helps Basil around the garden, namely with watering the extensive amount of plants in Basil's garden, and Basil often calls him either, "his precious Sunflower," or, "his busy beloved bee."

Suntan: Kel was completely oblivious to any forms of flirtation from Sunny for approximately 243 hints that Sunny dropped before Sunny outright confessed and even then, it took Kel a few minutes to process it because best boy is a confused boyo.

Sunburn (@writeranon69 THIS ONE'S FOR YOU WHEN YOU RETURN :D): Aubrey and Sunny have done full on outfit swaps on certain days. She always cannot stop saying, "How adorable her Sunbun is," while he's wearing her jacket, even whilst he's just standing there MENACINGLY

Sunbleached (@mozzaremi and @cromicronm come get your food/j 🙂): The Maverick sometimes sings full on love songs from anime, in fluent Japanese too (since Sunny is half-Japanese in my headcanon, I like to headcanon he helped Mikhael learn the language tol due to their shared love of anime) to Sunny. Daphne and Bowen helped him learn to sing really well. Also, The Maverick and Sunny have done duets of both Two Player Game from Be More Chill (New headcanon of mine says Mikhael is a theater kid) and Snow Halation (also in fluent Japanese)

Sunsketch (@writeranon69 and @donuqx-art *[yeets this at you/pos]*: Sunny was helped by Mincy in his quest to become a better artist and, as thanks and his confession, he drew her a very high quality boquet with the wrapping saying, "May I have the honor of being your lover?"

Baseball (@belongsinthetrash This one's for you :) ): Kel's obviousness and Aubrey's edgy yet soft aesthetic can lead to pure wholesome chaos when these two are alone together.

hero being a big brother to sunny wasn't something i knew i needed but now i want more 🥺 when u have the chance, please may we get more big brother hero?

Hero has always been in Sunny’s life. Literally, he and Mari were friends for at least half a year before Sunny was born, so Sunny had never known life without Hero before Mari died. 

Hero was one of the first people to hold Sunny when he was born. Mari came to stay with them for two days when the baby was born. It was exciting because he got to have his best friend stay over, but Mari was worried so he was worried too. Then on the third day, his mom and dad left Kel with a sitter and took the two of them to the local hospital. 

The baby was a quiet tiny little thing with dark hair and big eyes. He stared at them through the plastic of the bassinet in the hospital and Hero stood on his tip toes so he could peer over the side. 

Mari’s mama had them sit down on a bench nearby and gave them both hand sanitizer to use. Then her father picked up the baby and put him in Mari’s lap and adjusted his daughter’s hold. 

She looked at the baby and said he looked just like the sun. A tiny little sun. Then she told her dad that Hero had to hold him. When the baby was placed carefully in his arms, Hero already had some idea of how to hold a baby from all the times he had held Kelly. Still he figured holding Mari’s little brother would be different. It wasn’t. 

After that Hero had two little brothers, just like Mari had two little brothers. 

As they crossed the street, if Sunny didn’t hold Mari’s hand, he held Hero’s. 

Hero made sure Sunny ate well, making him foods that he knew Sunny would like. He was one of the only people who never called Sunny a picky eater. 

Hero also had a routine around injuries that was down tight by the time Sunny was two. He had a first aid kit that contained a few things that other people’s first aid kits wouldn’t have- a tiny black stuffed cat, a soft blanket, and lemon drop candies. 

Whenever Sunny got hurt whoever he was with would bring him straight to Hero if he wasn’t already there. Hero would pick Sunny up in his arms and bring him somewhere quiet with low lighting. He would put Sunny down and bring out his kit

First the blanket would go around Sunny’s shoulders, and the black cat would get placed carefully in his lap. Depending on where the injury was, these things would be moved, but generally Sunny skinned his knees or cut open his palms falling.  

Then Hero would start talking, telling Sunny about just about anything. He would tell elaborate stories, tell him about the weather, share a funny joke Kel had told at dinner the other day, anything to keep Sunny distracted. By the end Sunny would be quietly laughing instead of wincing in pain. 

Hero would finish off with brightly colored band-aids that had tiny drawings of Captain Spaceboy on them, giving Sunny a lemon drop because he knew the hard candies reminded the boy of Mari. 

Hero was one of the only people Sunny liked talking to. He liked to listen primarily to everyone, but Hero and Mari he didn’t mind actually talking with. Mari would study with Kel one on one in the dining room, and Hero would bring Sunny into the kitchen to make dinner for all of them. ((These kids were latchkey kids so help me god))

Sunny would sit at the kitchen counter and draw while Hero moved around the kitchen and chopped, diced, cooked, boiled. Hero would ask Sunny questions, not just about normal stuff, but what Sunny thought about things. His dreams, his ideas for the future. Sunny would normally shrug, but for Hero he answered in quiet short sentences. A lot of it was communicated non verbally too, but Hero always understood just what Sunny was saying. 

After Mari died Sunny didn’t just lose her he also lost the rest of his family too. His sister, his father, his mother, and his brothers. The only people he got back were his brothers.

Final Omori Update (8 and 9/9)-

•So... Aubrey’s mom is neglectful and she lives in a pigsty huh...? I can understand the feeling honestly... my house is the same way cause of my mom -all the trash. I mean there’s trash but it’s mostly just clothes. So.. I can relate to that and how she feels. Her room is the only decent place, and even then... mmm... poor Aubrey...

•So we can assume Mari’s leg wasn’t always bad because she was able to carry Sunny home off the bus. We can assume it didn’t drop them off right at their house because it seems their house is at the end of a road? So it probably dropped them off at the beginning of the street. Buses don’t usually go down roads like that.

•Okay but Mari and Hero are just too dang cute omg. I really feel bad for Hero, he really lost the love of his life. Also Sunny in the sand is. So cute. He’s just a vibing little dude. Also Hero went straight for laying in the chest.

•Also also we can probably assume Mari has self esteem issues, because she didn’t think her flower crown was great while everyone else did. So this could also hint toward her depression which might’ve caused her to Kermit... also that was.. the last nice summer...

•SUNNY AND MEWO IN THE BOX ONG MY HEART- Also “Kel’s next victim” also also, the giant stag... I can only think of ACNH.

•1.) I want Mari’s chocolate chip cookies 2.) So Captain Spaceboy and Sweetheart are based off fictional characters from their universe, which makes sense. A child’s imagination will bring their favorite fiction to life. Trust me. I know.

•So Mari is... older than Hero? Or are they the same age and she was just preparing for college more?? Also... she died soon before their recital... :c

•I’ll take a hug Hero!!!

•Okay, so them visiting her grave hit me right in the feels, and I feel terrible for all of them because her death was so hard, and like Hero still blames himself and Kel regrets not visiting more and just... the picnic was so nice... god this episode is gonna make me sad... Also I feel bad simping for Hero because of all this. Like omg the mental toll that must have on him.

•Hero is me when there’s a spider. God I wish I had someone like Kel.

•FINALLY someone addressed that Sunny might’ve had it the worst when Mari died, and that someone should’ve worried about making sure he’s okay. I’m glad it was Aubrey too because she was the one who was like “you guys weren’t there for ME!” Like. No one was there for Sunny either, and that was his sister! Also... I’m starting to get the implications thay Sunny might’ve developed an eating disorder from the depression caused by Mari’s passing? Because this is the second time they’ve mentioned he’s gotten thin.

•.....oh my god.... hold on... I... need to go cry....

•Sunny has finally awakened in Omori’s world! So Sunny and Omori are two different parts of him! And Omori’s the bad part! Yes Sunny! Revolt! Break free! You don’t need White and Black Space anymore!

•... Sunny... killed Mari... and framed it as a suicide... he didn’t mean to... she broke his violin... And the eye thing... represents her dead body, with eyes open... and Basil... knew... So Mari wasn’t depressed... and if Sunny’s friends knew what he did... they’d never forgive him...

•Basil no... my baby boy...

•Okay so in the bad ending since Sunny doesn’t overcome his trauma of killing Mari, and Basil dies, he.. well doesn’t overcome it and let it go, which is why the something follows him into the car, because he hasn’t let go or vanquished the trauma at all, he hasn’t come to terms with it so now it’s going to follow him to the new place, and no matter what it’ll haunt him forever. He isn’t free. The sirens at the credits could allude to Sunny having a.. similar fate to Basil or to the ambulance going to get Basil, or any of the other friends who might’ve fallen victim

•SPEAKING OF SUNNY HAVING A SIMILAR FATE. Uh. Fuck. I don’t even have a comment why are they all dying??? So in Bad Ending 2 Sunny... also Kermits and it’s most likely because of the guilt caused by both Mari and Basil’s death. He inadvertently caused both. White space could no longer keep him going. It pushed him over the edge you could say.

•Okay the one thing that annoys me about all the Sunny dies endings is that his mom like. Just calls. Forever. Like you’d think adventuly she’d go inside and realize somethings wrong but NOPE. Just chill in the car. And the movers don’t even say anything if he’s dead IN THE LIVING ROOM. Wtf. Like I get it’s suppose to be creepy but I would’ve liked to hear a scream of horror? Just change it up a bit?

•Okay so the deciding factor on if you get a good or bad ending is saving Basil.

•Okay this ending has a lot to unpack. So Basil is angry and Sunny for leaving him alone to carry this burden, but also for running away from it. Basil has also been driven to madness because he’s had to keep it all to himself, and he’s trying to convince himself that Sunny wouldn’t have killed Mari and destroyed the pictures. So all this is just weighing on Basil and causing him to get aggressive. Sunny left Basil alone with this secret and the idea of him being completely alone is maddening to him. Sunny is the only person who saw what he saw. The only other person who knows. Basil is also suffering hallucinations as he tries to convince himself that something else did all this bad stuff. He really doesn’t think his best friend could do anything wrong... seems.. kinda toxic actually. Like Basil has been manipulated and gaslighted except he wasn’t.. at least, not by Sunny.

•I love the idea of like. Omori and Sunny having to duke it out, Sunny is fighting his bad and inner/dark thoughts. He’s overcoming them. He’s believing in his friends and he’s not letting his depression control him anymore. Omori is all the bad parts of Sunny. The part that feels the most guilt, but also the side that views him as a killer, and that he killed Mari. He’s the one who thinks he’s irredeemable. In short, he’s Sunny’s depression, and if Sunny is ever going to be able to move on and let what happened in the past go, and forgive himself, he needs to overcome Omori.

•As someone who struggles with mental health problems, it’s really uplifting to hear the friend’s words, even if I don’t really believe it. They’re caring people...

•Main concern is if Sunny and Basil are okay. They were just stabbing each other.

•Yet another ending where Sunny basically succumbs to his depression, and let’s Omori take over.- Okay was not expecting that though...

•Sunny: *gets into position to play the violin* You Lose. (Honest that was really awesome!)

•Okay so this time Omori dies, showing Sunny has overcome his anxieties and has come to terms with his past. He accepts it. He won. OMG DID HE JUST DO A LITTLE TRUMAN SHOW BOW!?

•So Basil really did stab him...

•And he’s finally letting his emotions go, he’s finally crying over his loss and his pain... he’s allowing himself to emote.. I’m so proud...

•TOBY FOX WORKED ON THIS-

•So Basil and Sunny both attacked each other out of defense because of their growing anxieties and shit from keeping this huge secret, but once they came forward with the truth, the burden vanished, they were okay. A weight was lifted off their shoulders and they could try to be happy and be friends again.

Final thoughts- Now I thought this was a really cool and interesting game! I hope it gets more traction because, like I said, it’s very interesting and definatly can throw you for a loop. I went into it knowing there was a twist ending but I wasn’t even correct, and I’d say I’m p good at figuring shit out. But yeah I really liked it! I’m def gonna look up a bunch more just so I can see what I missed, or to just hear other peoples ideas, get a clearer view on the story! Also I’m so looking at the fan art now, omg I’ve been waiting for this.

I’m a little sad Sunny still moved away but I know they couldn’t just not... and I wish we could’ve seen everyone’s reactions. But yeah I still got a few more questions but as for watching the game, that’s it. That’s the end. And I’m happy about it honestly. I can’t say it enough but I really enjoyed watching it and figuring the stuff out! It was cool! (Also the music is a bop.) I’m just glad my children could be happy at the end.

Sunny: Emo and very adorable. Lots of headcanons for him after the PGE ranging from keeping him his usual shy self to making him very sociable and talkative. 80/10

Omori: Garbage Boy Stink Man but we still love this little gremlin. 9/10

Kel: Buries all of his trauma deep down, all to help his friends. False smiles at any sadness. Honestly written really well. 150/10

Headspace Kel: Kel but annoying and no sadness. 20/10

Aubrey: BEST. GIRL. Has the best writing, the best music, the best headcanons, the best sprites, and BY FAR the best character arc. Is also extremely relatable. 200/10

Headspace Aubrey: Aubrey but much more upbeat and also clingy. Veeeeeeeery clingy (Touch Starved Aubrey my beloved). 25/10

Hero: Best brother figure in gaming and I will not take Mario as a rebuttal. Plus, he's literally the perfect man (other than my boyfriend, but I digress). 100/10

Headspace Hero: Kinda boring ngl. Still the most useful for battles though. 20/10

Basil: Adorable. Must protecc at all costs. Also, when he's written well, he has some of the best moments in the game. 175/10
