CG Aqua, Terra, & Ventus w/ Babyspace Regressor Vanitas Hcs

💧 Vanitas actually involuntary regressed for a very long time without knowing what age regression was

🪵 It terrified him, feeling small and vulenerbal and scared, having to also fight for his life and reason to keep living

🍏 He regresses small to, about a few months to about 4

💀 It wasn’t until Terra (my lovely ‘dummy’) noticed that Vantias ‘outbursts’ were actually tantrums that he brought it up with him

💧 At first Vanitas shouted at him, calling him every name under the sun for even suggesting that Vanitas regressed

🪵 But Terra said that they all regressed, and even if Vanitas hadn’t been involuntierly regressing, perhaps he should try out the coping mechanism

🍏 Terra was Vanitas’s main cg for quite some time

💀 Why? Because it took some time for Aqua and Ventus to warm up to Vantias, always being suspicious of him, checking up on him to make sure he wans’t doing anything evil

💧 ^ This caused Vanitas to purposely act up sometimes, and then Terra would have to come and try to defend him 

🪵 Terra only took him in faster because he was also controlled by darkness, and Vanitas, by extent, was a version of Ven, and he wasn’t going to give up on Vanitas when he never even got the chance

🍏 Regressed Vanitas was actually what made Aqua and Ventus trust Vanitas a bit more

💀 One day when Terra was out, Aqua found a sobbing Vanitas curled up in the middle of the hall, desperately holding onto a Hareraiser (the bunny unverse)

💧 She softened around the boy, letting Vanitas cling to her, sniffing as he hide in her shoulder (they ended up cuddling and watching cartoons)

🪵 With both Aqua and Terra accepting Vanitas, Ventus decided to give his ‘brother’ a chance

🍏 Don’t believe what Ventus tells you, Vanitas totally didn’t sob in his arms later that night because Ventus was giving the chance he always wished for (. . . One of thems a lier)

💀 Don’t ask Vanitas who his favorite is because he’ll either shout at you or start crying on spot, he doesn’t want to choose, he loves his entire family

💧 Vanitas has favorite little activities he’ll do with everyone

🪵 For Aqua, he likes sitting on the counter while she’s cooking (she normally kicks everyone out) and either try to help her, or eat the ingredients

🍏 ^ And then get really fussy because he ate half the chocolate chips and now had a tummy ache and it’s all Aqua’s fault!!! >:(

💀 Why didn’t she tell him not to do that?! How could she just stand there and watch him suffer!!!

💧 . . . She did tell him, he just ignored her and cotinued

🪵 For Ventus, he likes coloring with him

🍏 It sounds really simple, but Vanitas never really colored before and Ventus showed him how fun it was

💀 Plus, Ventus gives really nice praises to his pictures (which are really hard to desiper some times) and Vanitas really likes being praised for simple things

💧 Prefers making his own drawing over coloring books

🪵 For Terra, Vanitas likes story time!!

🍏 Terra does amazing story time!! He choices stories that are approeriate for Vanitas’s headspace but also not ‘boring’, and he does funny voices!!

💀 It also helps Vanitas with sleepytime, he usually gets super fussy when it comes to naptime and bedtime, but the promise of a book and some yummy milk will make him begrudgingly agree

💧 Aqua’s cg nicknames are Mama and ‘Auqa

🪵 Terra’s cg nicknames are Bubba and Venty (Venty Wenty when Vanitas is upset with him)

🍏 And Ventus’s cg nicknames are Papa and Bubba

🪵 (^ He’ll pout later about how he has no no more candy after dinner . . . it’s litterally his fault for eating it earlier though, but he will be stealing some of Terra’s candy later)

🍏 Super big sweeth tooth, but doesn’t indgulge

💀 Actually, Vanitas doesn’t eat much as it is (still getting use to having his own body) so when he’s small, they all try to fill him up on yummy food and sweets

💧 Vanitas gets incredibly bad nightmare, and wakes up feeling incredibly small and scared because of them most times

🪵 Luckily, his room is really close to all of theirs so he can quickly run to any of them and cuddle them until the morning

🍏 Aqua suggests a baby monitor that she can keep in her room and doesn’t have to be turned on unless he wants it on (which Vanitas gets super defensive and huffy about)

💀 He doesn’t use it until weeks later where he guesses he could try it out, and he does like how fast Aqua comes to his aid instead of him trying to will himself to get out of bed

💧 Vanitas also really likes cuddling with them all, whether it’s Aqua letting him his on her lap, or Terra full on bear hugging him, or Ventus laying with him and letting Vanitas hide in his arm

🪵 However, Vanitas likes initiating touch, and deems some reaching out as violence coming towards him (he’s working on it)

🍏 One of his favorite activities with all three of them is watching cartoons

💀 They have some of Aqua’s yummy sweets, and they all get to cuddle and watch Ruby Gloom <3 (one of his favorite little cartoons)

Gender as Ship Ranks and Titles: A Drunken Ramble from Yours Truly.

Not particularly edited in any way and very Raw in its creation. So please forgive the hideous nature that this piece is written and articulated in.

I have another weird influx of people resonating with the gender system of ship ranks and Naval History in several other groups and circles/communities I am in. And it's strangely wholesome right now because it has created an influx of individuals with varying degrees of understanding that specifically comes from Polar Exploration. This new influx is a bunch of Polar Explorers who have a particular niche interest in other Expeditions such as the Crozier-Ross Expedition, Terra Nova, the Ross Sea Party, Amundsen, Captain Scott, and Shackleton. So now, included in this, comes an influx from some people who attended Terror Camp and got to discuss some things with Francis Spufford who spoke about how strangely and very unexpectedly gendered it was on these Expeditions.

In my mind, despite the crews being all men, gender sort of melted away into ranks and how they provide for one another as individuals both through rank and their skills aboard the Expedition. He spoke a little about how the crews engaged with one another through almost "neo-gendered" roles that replaced conventional social structures and settings that you would normally have been seeing in the period appropriate binary that was so strictly enforced. From caregiving and support concepts as well as other nuanced aspects that were important for the crew and their social structures. This was because there was this immense amount of isolation and removal from conventional society and no other "binary" to compare themselves as individuals to. This removed gender altogether for the crews as they were so isolated and far from civilisation that such concerns, matters, and focuses were no longer an applicable structure. But still, yet, gender as a social structure plays a prominent role in understanding one another in a more social way and not a way to uphold "Gender Roles" or the "Gender Binary". It was not a necessity.

This was particularly true about the Shackleton Expedition and it seemed to impact a lot of others that have a sort of niche interest in the concept of gender associations that are expressed through varying "era's ship ranks". We observed this particularly with how some of the crew sought out very particular individuals and referred to them in almost an exclusive way where they connected the ship rank or the ship role to the crew member and began to exclude conventional pronouns in their journals. There was a fluidity to the way that they saw one another after being isolated for so long. The years spent away from the structures of conventional society meant that they needed to reinvent social society for themselves.

They could not afford to abide by the usual structures of society in the Polar Regions because it was not a safe way to survive.

The structures of Naval roles and Navy Ranks provided a good chain of command that could be relied upon as a narrative for who provides and does what for the expedition as well as the personality and entire energy of that individual.

Naturally, eventually, everything else fell away.

So there is this concept of conventional grasps of gender falling away entirely and no longer being useful to the societal structures that they once had. By extension, there is no need for the other concepts and structures that fit into the social binary. They don't exist. The Polar Regions are sterile. You are isolated. Without need of anything else but the chain of command to keep everything in a way that makes sense to the crew.

In your Adrian post you mention regression is more common amoungst the coven heads then they thought. Are there other coven heads who agere as well? Do you have some hc on them?

I do!! Personally, I think that Raine, Hunter, and Lilith (they may be ex coven heads but they count in my heart) also regress! I think the other coven heads are just used to it at this point.

But anyway! Here's

Raine Whispers, Lilith Clawthorne, and Hunter Agere Headcanons!

Raine Whispers:

They regress to cope with stress, both brought on from being a coven head and worrying about things in general

Anxiety will do that to ya

Raine's regression space can range from 5-10, but it mostly ends up being lower on that range

When they were a teen, Eda was their caregiver

Now that they don't really have anyone, they try not to regress

Terra found out a while ago and things were not pretty. Raine hates her more than anything

They stay in their quarters and lock themselves away

In their quarters, they have a hidden toy chest and old stuffed animals that Eda won them

They are 10x more emotional when little and honestly a little bit of a cry baby

They've restricted themselves from using their scroll while little

Last time they did, Eda got a text from a very small Raine

"mmmmiss u moma"

They usually pretend that it didn't happen afterwards

Their quarters are sound proofed thanks to the last bard head

So when they're small, they have little dance parties and sing to their stuffies

It doesn't scare them! Those are their friends!

They love chewlery

Their favorite piece of chewlery is shaped like a butterfly and half chewed through

Strong jaw.

They stim a lot when alone

Mostly small jumps and flapping their hands

They refuse to drink any tea when small

They have thrown it when given

A tragedy, truly. That time out was brutal

Lilith Clawthorne:

Similar to Raine, she also regresses due to stress

She also feels like she's lost so many years of her life to the Emperor's guild and man. that really stung to think about

Her age range is a lot smaller, mostly around 2-3

Thankfully, Gwendolyn understands and encourages it, so she finally gets all of her mom's attention!

She's a very happy toddler, surprisingly

Very cuddly, as well

Her palisman will nest in her hair while she's regressed to keep her constant company

If she's left alone for too long, she cries. A lot.

She loves being carried

Which. is good because she has a strong mom

While she was living at the Owl House with Eda and Luz, she spent a lot of time with Hooty

"Hootsifier" turns into "Hoo"

Hooty is. Crying tears of joy

Lilith loves coloring. So so much

It's easy and stress free

While she was at the Owl House, her and Eda did it a lot

"This is just like when we were kids, Lily!"

"Mmhmhmhmhm!"

Ever since she's left the coven, she's just been a lot happier

Hunter:

He is so baby coded.

He deserves a childhood. And a good one

His age range is mostly 0-4

He's a very cranky kiddo if he's not constantly attended to

Thankfully. His caregiver (and dad) is Darius

Darius won't admit it, but he is sort of a helicopter parent

Hunter wants nothing more than to play with others

But he is much too tiny.

Thankfully! The Emerald Entrails are incredibly understanding

They work together for some killer babysitting

And Hunter gets to be with his favorite friends and play! It's a big win for him

Flapjack is never far behind. That bird is almost as bad as Darius

He can't choose a favorite activity

He wants to do everything, all of the time

Is it to make up for lost time? Or is it just him being an excitable baby?

Also really big on being carried and cuddled

He hides under Darius' cape when he's overwhelmed and small

"Little Prince.. What are you doing there?"

"Hide.. Dada help!"

Oh my god here we go. Unleash the floodgates.

First of all, all three are Raine’s kids, as well as Eda’s stepkids. I will not be taking criticism. Katya and Derwin are also excellent older siblings to Luz, King, and especially Hunter. Katya also gets along very well with Emira and Amity.

Now, personal headcanons.

From left to right:

Katya:

- probably between the ages of 17 and 19.

- is actually incredibly [powerful](https://whotfelsewantedtobelynnyx.tumblr.com/post/690689421571489792/her-yes-and-if-you-dont-recognize-that-you-may), but uses her powers to make food come to life

- used to get teased for carving her palisman into a bug

- was a former foster kid and ran away when her “caregivers” started pressuring her to join a coven

- lived as a wild witch for years before being forced to join the Bard Coven, which is how she met Raine

- became incredibly protective of Amber as soon as they were introduced

- developed a bit of a crush on Steve, who had to gently remind her that he was definitely too old for her

- now has some claustrophobia issues, as well as struggled with trusting Raine again after learning that they lied about being brainwashed and left her in prison (don’t worry, she forgave them eventually)

- has to put up with being the “cool older sister” (i.e. can’t go anywhere without Luz and King begging to come along. She takes it in stride.)

- has aspirations of branching out and becoming an author, but doesn’t have much confidence in her OC writing (no one’s projecting here…)

Derwin:

- was the son of fairly rich parents who didn’t particularly want a child, so they paid for him to board at St. Epiderm (where I’m guessing Raine taught). When everyone else went home for the holidays, he was one of the few who stayed behind.

- Met Raine when he was fairly young (around the ages of 10-11, now about 19-20) and grew up with them as a teacher. He eventually grew to think of them as a parental figure, and since his parents really didn’t care, he got permission to live with them full time. Legally, they had custody of him from the time he was in his mid teens until he became an adult*.

- is considered one of St. Epiderm’s most talented students studying the bard track. He won several awards and competitions. However, Raine refused to ever let their protégé enter the IFWOT (he didn’t learn why until years later, when he finally met Terra Snapdragon for the first time)

-is also a bit of a history buff and loves spending time with Lilith when he can. She promised to get him a job interning at the museum with her after the DOU.

- considers himself to be demiromantic and has a steady boyfriend. Refuses to give the girls any details, much to Katya’s annoyance.

- very protective over his parent and nearly got himself killed when they were captured during the DOU.

- Is lowkey scared of Hooty.

Amber:

- was formerly a street kid (having run away from an abusive aunt and uncle) and lied about her age (13-14) to join the BATTs. Raine found out fairly quickly but let her stay out of a combination of protectiveness and attachment.

- Also considers Raine to be her parent and quickly became fairly clingy towards them. She and Derwin had some friction in the beginning because she was jealous of his relationship with Raine- similar to her reaction when she first met Eda. Raine was gentle and patient, however, and she grew to love Derwin as a sibling as well.

- has a tendency to push people away at first out of defensiveness, then becomes incredibly attached once she decides she can trust them.

- gets up to incredible chaos with King and Hooty.

- Is one of King’s favorite people because she “know(s) he’s a Titan, but doesn’t understand the big deal”.

- most definitely has unmanaged ADHD. Raine has been doing their best to manage a rebellion and give her a normal life at the same time, including helping her learn to cope with her disorder and forcing her to actually go to school.

- adores Eda and often curls up in her lap when she sits down for too long.

- BFFs with Eberwolf, distrusts Darius.

- thinks Steve is JUST THE COOLEST.

- is one of those “ew, kissing. Romance is gross.” teens.

- often acts more childish because she never really had the chance to be a child.

- EVERYONE is protective of Amber. Katya, Derwin, Eda, and especially Raine. She’s the baby of the family and anyone who hurts her will regret it.

- thinks the solution to everything is arson.

- was on the airship with Steve during the DOU because Raine wanted to protect her but knew she wouldn’t let them send her away. Steve had to stop her from charging in to save her family when sh*t hit the fan.

wayfinder trio agere headcannons! sorry for any spelling errors!

i cant just forget about the wayfinder trio! theyre all flips, terras a flip, aquas a flip, ventus is a flips. chirithy doesnt count but they dont mind looking after one of the trio members until someone came back to take care of them. but here we go!

Terra

terra is a very laid-back caregiver, he has few rules and he's very playful!

his favorite thing to do, whether he's regressed or caring, is to either play pretend or read story books! he's always been a good actor so he impliements that well into both activities

he's not the best craftsman lol! but that doesn't mean his caregivers dont gush about his artwork and try to let them hang it on their fridge!

Aqua

aqua has a regressor lean! shes more independent when shes regressed but she thoroughly enjoys the time she spends with her caregivers

she LOOOOOVES baking, especially with ven

she also loves spending time with ven, be it as a regressed playdate or just aqua hanging out with her brother

and of course, during playdates, terra is more than happy to watch over them or sometimes even join them!

Ven

ven has the sliiiightest cg lean. he enjoys looking after terra and aqua, they angels most of the time

ven is a middle, he regresses to an older age. he doesnt like most of the younger activities that the others like (except baking, that means he gets to bake with aqua and eho could say no to that??)

ven looooves video games, roxas introduced them to him and he often has sleepovers with roxas and xion and they treat him like their little brother

while aqua, terra, and ven mostly take care of each other, roxas and xion usually enjoy watching over ven a lot too

ven is more secretive about his regression. he's just not fond of everyone knowing, thats all.

Ever since she got her gift, Dolores noticed how her parents basically ignored her, and paid attention to her prima Isabela instead…

The 5 year old girl didn’t understand why, or what she did wrong for her parents to ignore her, but she felt sad about it…

But one night, when the 5 year old accidentally bumped into a very irritated Pepa, the woman snapped at her, screaming at her daughter to watch where she’s going.

Dolores covered her ears as tears began to burn in her eyes, and ran outside crying. Nobody bothered to come after her…

But when she was outside, the 5 year old felt a bright light hovering above her, and she was soon sucked inside…

The next thing she saw was strange looking creatures that act like humans. Dolores didn’t know what they were, but they look scary…

It turned out that some a Ravager clan (not Yondu’s) took the child to deliver her to a celestial to Ego, but they later found out that they had the wrong kid.

Already being in deep space and not wanting to return to Terra, the ravagers decided to drop the girl off at the first orphanage they came across, and that’s what happened…

Dolores got dumped on a strange planet in front of a strange-looking building, and it scared the 5 year old quite a bit. She didn’t know where she was, she didn’t know anybody there, and couldn’t even understand what they were saying…

While the caretakers and the other kids were nice (tho they somehow were animals living as humans?), Dolores didn’t want to be in the orphanage. She wanted to be near her papá and mamá, a nicer papá and mamá who actually noticed her. But over the years, that grew into resentment.

Dolores grew up in that orphanage for the remainder of her childhood. And although she didn’t get adopted, she loved being there, to the point where Dolores saw the orphanage as more of a home than with the Madrigals.

When she turned 18 and became an adult, Dolores decided to stay at the orphanage to work as a caregiver for the kids. She had nowhere else to go anyways. Besides, she loved being there for the kids, and she had known the other staff members for most of her life.

For about 3 years, Dolores cared for the kids in the orphanage she herself grew up in, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

But when she was 21, she one day saw a baby raccoon inside the building, and it was clearly hungry.

So, Dolores decided to give the small creature some food, so that it wouldn’t starve. But that resulted into the baby raccoon following her.

After asking the others if it was possible for her to keep the animal, and them saying yes, Dolores took the baby raccoon in and took care of the small animal😊

The kids actually adored the baby raccoon, playing with him when Dolores allowed it.

Over the next month, Dolores took care of the baby raccoon, which one of the kids named “Rocket”. They’d watch movies, have silly dance-parties, and Dolores telling stories to the kids while the baby raccoon trying to act it out😊

But that unfortunately ended when some people who look like soldiers came into the orphanage, and told Dolores that “The raccoon in your possession belonged to someone else”. That was a lie…

Dolores didn’t believe it, but couldn’t stop those people when they put the baby raccoon into a small cage, and went off…

That’d be the last time Dolores saw Rocket, and she wouldn’t know what would happen to her buddy…

Un ParaCadute per evitare di cadere e di farsi male, a volte anche in modo grave. Si chiama così, "ParaCadute", la campagna di comunicazione realizzata dal servizio sanitario regionale e destinata principalmente alle persone più a rischio, quindi anziane, con disabilità o fragilità, ai caregiver e ai loro familiari, per aiutarli appunto a prevenire le cadute: secondo l'indagine nazionale PASSI d'Argento, nel 2022 (ultimo dato disponibile) in Emilia-Romagna il 24% degli ultra 64enni - principalmente quelli con più di 75 anni - è caduto a terra almeno una volta, principalmente (53%) dentro le mura domestiche, oppure in strada (26%) o in giardino (13%): di questi, il 14% è stato ricoverato per più di un giorno a seguito della caduta e il 33% ha avuto bisogno di cure sanitarie; non solo: il 20% ha dichiarato di aver riportato fratture e il 3,9% si è rotto il femore. Conseguenze fisiche, ma anche psicologiche, che possono persino far perdere l'indipendenza e l'autonomia nella vita quotidiana, soprattutto nel caso delle persone più anziane. Prevenire, dunque, è fondamentale. Oripathy, even in its mildest forms interferes with X-ray and MRI's of the infected individual, causing internal organs to become indistinct in the scans, and potentialy having other affects. This would have a negative effect on the quality of Healthcare an infected individual can receive on multiple levels simply because their caregivers have a much more difficult time even "seeing" if there is anything wrong to begin with (other than the fact that individual has oripathy of course)

I think the issues with medical diagnosis would probably come up less often than you might expect. We know healing arts, fast-acting healing agents, innate rapid regenerative ability, and freakish resilience are all relatively common methods for dealing with injury on Terra. Being able to rapidly heal from potentially lethal injuries would seriously reduce the need for these sort of internal scans.

That being said, if you break a bone you’ll still probably need to get it set, and internal scarring from healed wounds to the chest or abdomen can lead to serious complications that require surgery to resolve. In cases like this (especially the second) the originium affecting scans would prove to be problematic as you would only be able to get a vague idea of what needs to be done until the operation is already underway

This problem would affect treating oripathy too. Ore lesions on internal organs would pose many of the same issues as scar tissue and removing them would involve similar difficulties. Not to mention the scar tissue that will form after you remove the originium.

Brain scans would probably also be adversely affected, which would go a long way to explaining why we have so little information on how oripathy actually affects the brain.

This translation may have a lot of mistranslations as I couldn’t really catch what he said since the bgm was super loud. I: I’m stuck in the same place so I’m gonna play this game from the start.

I: I haven’t progressed at all. I haven’t seen the other stages yet. Graveyard, execution chamber. I played the execution chamber stage for a bit during the stream with Ms. Towada. I progressed a little only. Should I play the graveyard stage?

I: The armour used to get destroyed with just one hit. The armour has a ranking. If you collect a lot of armours, it’ll become a bronze armour. This one is probably a metal armour.

I: I was in volleyball club. I was in the badminton club for 3 months. I joined because of similar reason I joined volleyball club.  I joined because I wanted to be good at smashing. Then, I quit the club after I’ve mastered it. Same with volleyball. I wanted to master spike. I had other stuffs I wanted to do. I wanted to play games all day long. I didn’t wanna go for club activities. I skipped club activities and played Smash Bros. I was a boarding student, after all.

I: Yes, I have.

C: Which console is this?

I: This is switch. I play this because I was tired from fixing the rough sketches for chp 5.

C: Did you go and watch Yamakasa? (t/n: Yamakasa refers to the float carried by men during Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival. You can google it up for more info.)

I: I watch when there’s one. Ms. Towada went and see it. Where did she recently visit?

I: This is harder than RE. RE is way easier compared to this.

C: Sensei is getting tired!

I: Actually, I should be resting at times like this. It’d be better for me to rest after I did the rough sketches.

I: It must be hard to work at this time. Night shift? Nurses and… is it correct? I’m not so sure though, but caregivers also have night shifts. Well, good luck on your job. Butler has really bad memory issues (it's been like this since he and John were kids), he listens to the egg because it promised to give his memory back. One time he told Billiam about it and the next day he was handed a brand new, leather bound notebook and quill. He was later given a second notepad for work related stuff, so it wasn't all jumbled together.

He wasn't allowed to bring it to the pit, but Watson has a mechanical set of wings! He frequently participates in terra swoop force-esque races

Cornelius is Dream but like 400 years ago or however long ago that tftsmp was I can't remember. They're the same person except Cornelius isn't a horrible person

The town in the old west kinda raised John and Butler as a community (but sheriff Thompson was their main caregiver)

Billiam is related to Techno, possibly Techno's father or grandfather considering how old Techno is

Charles was taken in by the rest of the mizu gang when he was younger and on his own! He is like littol brother

The mizu gang is like a family actually, I don't make the rules. They are all brothers your honor (not biologically obv)

Ran used to live in Mizu before it was evacuated (because of ranbob). The evacuation is when he got his arm injured so badly it was easier to just replace it w/a robot one (also because of ranbob). Ran was the one to lock the door to prevent Ranbob escaping.

Porkius is hailed as Subbin's most fearsome emperor,, he was a feared warrior when his father was still in power, and when he was crowned there was an attempted assassination on him; he survived, but that's where he got his robotic eye. The people of Subbin say Emperor Porkius "never dies"

Interior Design Chapter 3: Breakthrough

SUMMARY:Your spontaneous hug leads Bucky to have a breakthrough. Bucky makes his own decisions, realizing a few things along the way.

WARNINGS: Intense emotions, allusions to canon-typical violence. 

NOTES:This is an everyone lives/no one dies, Living in the compound, Non Civil War compliant, No Sokovian Accords AU. Also, small chapter here from Bucky's POV. I felt the way the last chapter ended needed to have some consequences.

Bucky paused in the entryway to the kitchen. Everyone was focused on the opposite side of the room, where it looked to be a girl getting introduced. Bucky didn't mind, meant no one was staring at him as he came out of his room for the first time in a couple days. He looked at the girl who was waving cutely at the handful of Avengers in the room. She was decently dressed, eyes wide in wonder, body soft and relaxed.

'Civilian. No threat.'  Bucky's mind told him. He came down to get some water, he was glad to not be on parade like the others. However you comment to Sam triggered his sarcasm. He'd been trying to be as unobtrusive as possible since Tony offered him room and board. He was a barely function human being getting over 70 years of trauma, adding in sarcasm and sass would only alienate more people. He couldn't help it, his response forced its way out.

"If you are here, meeting us. You've accepted." Bucky blinked at the sound of his voice. You turned to face him and the others watched you both. Bucky carefully didn't meet your gaze but could tell you saw something that resonated with you.

"Sh! Don't say that too loud. I haven't told Tony yet." You snarked back and before he knew it you'd moved in front of him, talking to him. "Sargent Barnes? Thank you, for serving your country all those years ago in the 107th. I am sorry you had to suffer so very much to get here. and well..."You trailed off hesitating, catching Bucky's attention. In a flash you wrapped him in a bone-crushing hug, whispering into his chest. "Welcome home, solider."

He was frozen unable to react. He felt you tense and slacken your grip before pulling away completely. He could feel his eyes burn with tears and his arms were raised as if to push you away or pull you closer, he didn't know. You were the first person to welcome him home in decades. The idea warmed his heart in a way he couldn't explain, his time spent at war wasn't useless when people like you now excited. He stared at you in amazement. With zero thought or hesitation you had eliminated the self-imposed comfort zone. He looked across the room tears leaking to find Steve already looking at him distraught. You were talking to him and he was listening just not fully, about houseplants. Bucky only catching the end of it.

"Something that depends on you to live without major consequences can do wonders for mental health. Sargent Barnes needs to care for something, now that he no longer has to protect you Mr. Super-solider." Your parting comment brought fresh tears to Bucky's eyes and a sheen to Steve's but you were already pulling on Tony's sleeve to move on to notice.

In minutes your crossed his self-made distance, initiated physical contact, and brought up thoughts he would rather keep buried then gone in seconds. You reminded him like a hurricane; came and went leaving only destruction in your wake, making a path to rebuilding and coming together. Bucky sniffed wetly, laughing slightly at the intensity of the moment. Steve chuckled and sighed coming over to stand in front of him. they embraced in a tight hug, both men needed the contact, still crying silently.

"I like her. She is so soft and warm." Bucky said as they separated. Steve smiled at his friend. Bucky needed more people in his life, who wouldn't judge him.

"I am going to kill her. She is tactless and rude. How dare she made you uncomfortable like that? She has psych minor she should know better." Natasha ranted from the couch.

"No!" Bucky demanded, wiping his face clean on tears. "She is so good. Innocent. She meant well." Bucky moved his gaze to the hallway he was sure he saw you dart down with Tony. The others were taken aback at his defense. "She welcomed me home." Bucky's voice broke. Sam gasped and nodded in understanding.

"Feels different the first time, doesn't it." Sam spoke in agreement. The rest of the team looked confused.

"Yeah, to put it mildly. I am just surprised, a civilian like her, how would she know?" Bucky spoke to Sam. He was looking into the middle distance, remembering what had just happened.

"Having someone welcome you home, welcome you back into civilian life, understanding that you went away and have come back...can be paradigm shifting. Just helps you feel accepted, understood." Sam tried to explain. The others made noises of realization.

"What did she talk to you about right before she left." Bucky asked Steve, while pulling out some leftovers. He didn't want to think of the last time he ate or why he was suddenly ravenous.

"Houseplants. She said and I quote "Coming from someone once extremely depressed and still struggles with it, plants help. Something that depends on you to live without major consequences can do wonders for mental health. Something that depends on you to live without major consequences can do wonders for mental health. Sargent Barnes needs to care for something, now that he no longer has to protect you Mr. Super-solider."" Steve repeated. You comments made him worry, you seemed so joyful and innocent, he couldn't imagine you struggling so much that the only thing keeping you going was taking care of a plant or two.

"Oh, I like that idea. actually sounds wonderful. She isn't wrong." Bucky said hesitantly, like he was tasting the words before he said them. "I am not sure what my job is anymore. A long time ago, you were small and I was big. You needed me. Then you were big and I was small. Still you needed me. Then I was gone and big and you didn't need me. Now you're big and I am big and you don't need me. I miss being the protector, the caregiver." Bucky admitted.

"Buck, I am so proud of you, that had to be hard to admit. But trust me, at no point did my brain or common sense or self-preservation grow with me. I may be able to make battle plans in seconds and kick alien ass but I am still lost without you. I still need you to come save my stupid ass. I may not need you to protect me from everything but I will always need my best friend. Until the end of the line, jerk." Steve said. "If you want plants in your room to relearn who you are, I will go build a damn greenhouse if you want. I know you worked with goats in Wakanda but that would be hard to get Tony to approve of though." Steve said grinning. Bucky grinned back. Steve wanted to cry all over again.

"Let us start with a few plants for now. I only had four male goats, extremely easy and they weren't only mine." Bucky teased. "Who was she?" Steve had to blink at eh conversation shift but rolled with it all the same.

"Her name is Y/N L/N. She was hired as our interior designer. She is going to help make this place livable and make it homey. I guess." Steve said.

"She will also have rein to do things while we aren't here for maintenance, and housekeeping" Natasha had a sharp edge to her words that caught Bucky and Steve attention.

Nat, enough. She was trying to help. You saw her afterwards. She was contrite and embarrassed. She knew that she overstepped even with good intentions. Y/N is the best NYC has to offer and for good reason. I know new people make you nervous for good reason. It is understandable but I will not have her feeling unwelcome in what is going to be her home too." Steve matched her tone, refusing to give any ground.

Natasha seemed to deflate nodding in agreement. "I know and I will do better. I like her. But her actions were inexcusable. She made Barnes uncomfortable"

"But it wasn't unwelcome. It was startling but I enjoyed it. It was nice." Bucky confessed. Everyone turned to look at him. Bucky had been through more than humanly possible, even working as hard as he was to recover, physical contact was had for him to accept.

Bucky allowed you in farther than anyone pardon Steve and all he knew about you was your name, your perfume, and how your arms felt around his torso. He also knew he couldn't wait to see you again.

"I sound like aa broken record but she was warm and soft. She didn't even hesitate. She knew me, knew enough, but wasn't scared." He couldn't stop looking at the doorway you walked through.

Steve felt his heart warm and soul heal, you had brought something to Bucky that he had been denying himself for so long. You batted it away, easy as pie. Steve made a mental note to find you and thank you for bringing his friend one of the first bits of happiness and humanity he has had in 70 years.

Bucky went back to his room-wanting some space from everyone after the incident in the kitchen-thoughts whirling and at the center was you. His room was bare and minimalistic, like everyone's The team only made quick day trips or overnight trips to help get everything settled. He looked at his window empty but he could imagine a small green plant in a terra cotta pot soaking up the sun and thriving under his care. He pulled out his tablet and with F.R.I.D.A.Y's help began looking at plants for some ideas. He wanted something hearty but attractive to start. As he surfed through blogs and hobby sites, the peace lily and cast iron plants caught his attention as did the pothos. He put his tablet down wanting to think over his choices, adopting a family member is not to be taken lightly. He figured go running would help clear his mind, he had a lot to think about. The thumping of his feet  on the treadmill matched the thumping of his heart. He lost himself in the sensation-thinking his own thoughts, making his own choices. The peace that came with the awareness  of himself, that he was no longer under the control of anyone else-made his breath catch. He finished his run and headed back to his room, seeing Steve on the way. He wanted to stop and talk to him. Steve was always supportive but he felt he needed to do his part and order his thoughts and emotions before trying to vocalize.

In that moment he decided on getting a large peace lily plant to bring life to his room. He smiled at nothing-content. He had a choice, he made a decision. He was able to-all on his own. He was happy, in this moment, happy to be alive. Happy for the first time in what felt like forever.

Cearl had help in uniting the humans of Terra and inspiring them. His elder sister purportedly killed coerced any of his detractors to voice their support for him.

When Cearl stood toe to toe with a Celestial soldier and won, raising his severed head up like as a trophy everyone else fell in line.

She was his second in command, and there were rumors that she should be the one who truly belongs on the throne of humanity.

Though, she is off world now, serving the empire as Cearl's ambassador at The Council. Cearl is quick to voice his support and admiration for his only living relative.

Cearl has said that at first she didn't support his vision, but he wasn't deterred. His sister had been his caregiver and guardian for most of his life, he wouldn't do any of this without her blessing or support. So he supplicated himself to her as a show of his seriousness.

There is a prevalent belief that Cearl will bow to no one, not the gods, not the Celestials, but Amara.

Amara wields immense power among the masses who see her a maternal figure and have begun to worship her as such.

Amara for her part has said repeatedly she is not a God, nor does she wish for such a claim to be thrust upon her.

She does everything for the good of her people and the future generations yet to be born.

Due to the main sources of inspiration taken thanks to the reading of stories written by other fans found both in FF.Net and in AO3 exploring a past between Kefka and Terra, more or less positive (that is, lacking excessive violence / sexual abuse ) but finding a Kefka already influenced by the side effects of the magic infusions when Terra begins to live under his physical and mental care, it is difficult that the same thing does not happen in the ideas that I was elaborating from an agreement with those stories.

Well, either in Insanity is Imminent or in Reminiscence Scattered, Kefka seems to have started it when Terra is a very young girl. (first years in Vector since she was taken from her mother)

Leaving thus the ideas of a Kefka before receiving the infusions or a Kefka whose effects during the period that the experiment lasted affected him in a slower way living with Terra as I have seen later in other stories on my part as whims that sometimes I want to try separately (Beautiful chemistry) or that changing the context or small details of it might work for me better (Alternative Universes)

It is when reading in the wikipedia that it is assumed that being under the control of Kefka at the beginning of the game implies a relationship between them, probably Kefka being in charge of Terra led me to opt for the idea of ​​Terra living in his residence instead of being confined as in previous written stories until being formed as a soldier and the implantation of the Slave Crown.

Although an assumption like so many others that can be found, it was quite consistent with what was seen in the stories that had inspired me so much or that had served as the basis for elaborating their own between agreements with the above and disagreements. The truth is that it helped me feel less nervous If I showed Kefka in a less intense line than in previous stories, ending up in a collection ...

In a word, the feeling that they convey to me and I want to convey is bittersweet because not everything is all the time sweet, easy or beautiful between them in their day to day, just as not everything has to be all the time ugly, creepy or abusive but there is a bit of both, sometimes even one of the good things happens in the wake of a bad one or vice versa. (Also, even when I have tried to show something good between them, it is still a bit disturbing) Precisely because of that, for having a Kefka already with a lot of lost sanity being Terra child and who does not know a Kefka with whom it would not have been as difficult to live as a tutor but at the same time I feel that this is what makes the relationship something in this way to show its progression more interesting because it does not even start in a very favorable way and only through coexistence can these little things be appreciated. As in a different way, each one ends up making a dent in the other. 

Relevant information 

- At first I did not give it so much importance because Terra is always shown like that but as I began to delve into the Esper world and the Espers themselves while developing Beautiful Chemistry or the first part of it, it struck me that from the beginning Terra possessed a human appearance instead of Esper having been born in the Esper world in which the only human would be his mother which led me to the reasoning that such a Terra (physically Esper) were to be immediately taken away and confined for scientific studies as with the rest of captured creatures. Otherwise, until Terra had shown her magical ability, she could have gone more unnoticed in an orphanage ... 

- I have already mentioned that if Terra is brought to Vector by Gestahl at approximately two years of age following the information that the game provides, Kefka would have an age at which he would be preparing to enter the experiment with Magitek so at that time it would not be possible that Kefka was who took care of Terra.

** However, I do not rule out the idea that briefly some encounters would occur between them, such as with a Celes who would become part of the next experiment carried out while Kefka was taken to be analyzed or something like that, although neither would harbor clear memories of the other or the event itself ... **

Therefore, Kefka and Terra would be presented by Cid at age six instead of at five, achieving a more or less satisfactory recovery of basic functions for the soldier, turning twenty-three but officially Terra is under his tutelage at seven.

(Let's say that with whitish skin due to the use of ointments or paint and some makeup on the face) Here in opposition to what I have seen or read is where I liked the idea that Kefka initially did not sympathize the same way with her and some of that remains.

- Terra is very hesitant in her actions at first, often waiting for Kefka to give her indications, accustomed to little freedom to act under the care of caregivers, like the children who are subjected as subjects after the triumph that was the survival of Kefka in the first.

** Not because she is afraid of Kefka due to his appearance,  it fascinantes her at that time and that would already imply her desire to be around to see him better or to be able to caress his fabrics, if she is afraid, she would act differently. She would stay away, grab her stuffed animal, or keep quiet ... **

Causing exasperation in Kefka more than once, laughing at her until she gains confidence, beginning to act more freely, mainly around the house and then around the Imperial Castle.

- Let's see, being very sincere, I see Kefka having more defects than qualities when it comes to taking care of Terra in his day-to-day life, since as can be seen in the game, he lacks or loses the necessary patience to deal with a child In addition to experiencing abrupt mood swings, which does not make him a very good tutor or father figure for Terra, as in the story that inspired me, but at the same time reading other stories in which Kefka was quite decent with her encouraged me to love too. writing beautiful scenes like Kefka trying to play her a song or creating stories with her to tell her before sleep, of course giving Terra the magic of softening him up.

Unfortunately, in order to show that, I decided that it would be in episodes when Kefka totally loses his patience with her that he can treat Terra worse by grabbing her arm to lock her in her room or yelling at her hitting things, in the worst case If she even get to dare, to contradict him, he will slap her but generally being more intimidating and threatening than using physical punishment, only If he is not obeyed are carried out like this.

** Being in these moments where Terra does fear him paralyzed by the strong energy that sprouts to manifest as fire because her magic grows as she grows while the one that Kefka possesses is that of adult and previously powerful Espers so it would be pretty weak  ... Serving only to provoke him more **

- It is also precisely because of that instability that it is decided that Kefka, depending on the visits of those in charge in the matter and their observations, obtain or not help in the care of Terra or worse for Kefka that the duty of guardian falls on another of the girl being together with the occurrence of her using her own magic one of the reasons that make the initial attitude that Kefka had towards Terra change. As if finally realizing Terra's worth. 

The other obviously has to do with her magic. Going beyond burning this or that (accidentally) and being discovered by Kefka who will look for a way to repeat it, the moment Terra changes to her Esper form although she has a limited time, returning to the human calming down or fainting .

** Since I saw a fanart with Kefka and Terra in their other form, the idea that Terra originally looked like this but only manifests it instinctively in moments of lack of control as she adapts more and more to the human world, it seemed possible to me that Kefka felt double of attraction towards Terra like that, wild and wrapped in magic **
