currently on a binge of two face content (as in both of them) and- although batman jekyll and hyde is definetly not my favorite story at all, mostly because im unsure how kin i am towards the murray story (and several.....sussy parts in arkham's end), i will be forever of the mind of whatever the hell happened in that goddamn lab-rat batman scene thing is like. genuinely super interesting

now dont get me wrong im not saying this ONLY BECAUSE harv n two were very touchy with him (althuogh two definetly way more violent than need be), its just also the- ? slight torture, bad trip that batman is having in the meanwhile. plus harvey does not hold back on what he wants to say and what he means.

So, I'm replaying DA:I for funsies before Dreadwolf and also on Stream and just noticed that after clearing Sahrnia, Cullen is super complimentary of Dagna? Like, instantly invokes her as a skilled Smith and creator?

Just the idea of our commander quietly enjoying Dagna's wile and intelligence, casually plodding on with training but enjoying her new schematics and ideas.

Just makes me happy, is all.

something about Dazai being comfortable enough around Chuuya to be vulnerable and let him see his genuine reactions (especially his genuine shock) as he processes out loud is SO SO IMPORTANT TO ME

plus Chuuya not being shocked to see the genius at work tells us this isn’t the first time he’s seen Dazai actively figuring things out in real time…

the way Chuuya knows Dazai's nervous habits— noticing that Dazai is worried, and subtly checking on him. the way Dazai drops his facade in favor of putting all of his focus into the mental game at hand is such an obvious sign of trust & closeness for someone like Dazai, whose facade is his main form of defense

how they interact with each other in the downtimes when there’s nobody watching…

all i can think is, look how far they’ve come since they were 16 when Dazai couldn’t trust anyone with his plans. how even now, Dazai is always putting up his “all according to plan” front, even with the agency. how Chuuya is the one person we’ve seen him truly drop the mask around, and Chuuya doesn’t bat an eye. even their banter is ongoing, but subdued.

i want casual, everyday autism in shows. i want autistic characters who need sensory symmetry, who casually mimic anyone's touch on one side of their bodies on the other (or who have friends who do it for them). i want a friend with flashcards or signals for when their friend loses speech. i want people on video calls and body doubling when they do jobs. i want people having conversations without eye contact. i want excited stimming. i want to see someone getting really excited about the tiniest thing thats related to a safefood or a special interest. i want casual, everyday autism.

catching up on docs streams, and he's talking about religion/spirituality and how it guides people's beliefs etc. he mentions how (generally) people like to be outraged by things [that dont affect them], like who other people are, and then immediately says 'if you're lgbtq you'll know what im talking about'

and i absolutely do. and its so wild to me how he just. drops that in. then starts talking about how it shouldn't matter who you are, how you can still do be incredibly religious and respect queer people, that the most important thing is that your beliefs don't hurt other people. how you should respect pronouns, that being 'indoctrinated' into being queer isn't a thing.

all whilst he's mining for diamonds using a freaking mega tunnel bore. like its any other conversation you might have

which it certainly is, for me. but a 40 something cishet man? not your standard casual conversation topic, not usually. and even though i already knew he was a supportive guy, hearing a conversation like this outside of an explicitly queer space, unprompted by a queer person. just solidifies what kind of person he is. and gives me faith that even outside of queer specific spaces, important conversations are happening, its not just us protesting and yelling into the wind, no one giving a shit. and its happening in some pretty unexpected places. which id say is pretty neat. its nice to have some hope for a change.

Idk why people think it's funny to buy shit from shien or temu or whatever slavery-corp is popular at the time just to video themselves laughing at the quality of the products.
