i feel like people are too hard on Mulder for not cutting diana off/telling Diana off For Scully's Sake in s6. This is the woman he had a 4 or 5 year serious, compulsive but extremely unhealthy relationship with, who emotionally neglected him, manipulated him and consistently gaslit him. She was also physically and emotionally similar to his mother, who also neglected, emotionally manipulated him and gaslit him. He was seemingly aware enough to realize that it wasn't a personally positive experience for him overall, but he had to shoulder some of the blame and believe that her [Diana's and Teena's] intentions were good even if they ended up in a bad place, because otherwise his sense of self + self worth + his image of his reality would be dangerously undermined. He's afraid of falling into a pit he can't climb out of where foundational people in his life only used him for what they could get out of him because he's too broken and gullible to be worth anything else to anyone. He has to stay open and keep extending his hand to Diana and viewing her attention as a potential positive because then what they had was a relationship that went bad when he went off the rails too much, and not a trap she engineered (with or without the Syndicate's prodding).
Oh, she was catty and dismissive and nasty to Scully? She hurt her feelings on purpose? Yeah, that's bad and genuinely it hurt badly to see Scully so sad and upset and angry. But the idea that Mulder needs to get mad and get even with Diana 'on Scully's behalf' above everything has always struck me as a little off base.
That's a person who isolated and manipulated him and tried to warp him into seeing her approval as the metric of his self worth, either because his vulnerability and ascendant genius appealed to her independently, or at the urging of Mulder's biological father if she was already involved with the Syndicate (and potentially even armed by CSM with a profile of Teena to mimic). (I headcanon that she wore a similar perfume to his mother, either by design or by coincidence.) And imo Diana stringing him along and making her care for him into a transaction in service of her comfort, adoration by him, and their career advancement, and then dropping him when he started to struggle visibly with his trauma and developed unappealing interests, that's actually worse than if the Syndicate sent her after him from the start.
So I guess I think that Mulder should be allowed to be angry with Diana on his own behalf, or be allowed to choose to let it go, or to investigate that experience of abuse or not for himself on his own timeline regardless of what would make a cathartic outburst.
Some people just aren't able to form or maintain hate for their abusers, either because they still have positive-conflicted feelings for that person or because of self defense mechanisms that they haven't yet and might never unpack. Mulder is shown to be one of those people from the very earliest days, i think.

The theory that Dutch went “crazy” bc of his head injury on the trolley doesn't really hold up. I say this as someone who has endured multiple life-altering head injuries. To change someone's personality like people claim it did Dutch's, it would have to be an incredibly severe injury, not just a minor concussion.
I can think of one medical case where this occurred to such an extent. It was Phineas Gage where his personality changed completely. And guess what caused it? An iron rod went all the way through his head. So, the likelihood of Dutch's minor head injury being the cause of his behavior in ch4-6 is very low.
Personally, I think it's as simple as Dutch was a manipulator, knowingly or not. And when John and Arthur were slipping away his tactics of manipulation fell through, hence his change in behavior.

an angle that i can't remember anybody pointing out abt Gideon re: christ allegory is the idea of Wake as Mary conscious of what her role entails. Mary conscious of and accepting of the sacrifice her child will be used for.
she's visited by one of god's lyctor's – directly contacted by Mercymorn with an opportunity – and outside her interactions w G1deon, she's the only one of them Wake ever meets. in the bible, the angel who visits Mary is the same angel that directs the wise men to seek Mary and Jesus out in Jerusalem, which adds a more sinister parallel to Mercy being the one to direct G1deon to Wake's location over the Ninth.
Wake has no direct interaction with John/God until after she’s already dead, and therefore Gideon’s conception is, like Mary’s conception of Jesus, almost completely separate from God at all, except that the resulting child will be his biologically (or spiritually in Jesus’ case).
she takes a literal journey while heavily pregnant to reach the Ninth, and has to give birth in less than ideal conditions and surroundings. and the story diverges further from there, because instead of being visited and given gifts for her child’s birth, she’s attacked, betrayed, and murdered before she can complete the mission she did any of this for.
(one could argue that G1deon and Pyrrha’s role in this allegory is both that of the wise men (keeping up three separate identities = three wise men right? g1deon, pyrrha, and the Saint of Duty all visited on her in one form. much to think on) – but also of Joseph (especially given Pyrrha tells John in HTN that she didn't tell him abt Wake's pregnancy because she assumed the child was hers, and upon finding out Gideon isn't hers, she's obviously conflicted abt it, but inevitably settles on wanting to be a parent/parental figure to her despite the truth and the complexities of Wake's actions) but that’s just a whole Can of Worms, because we know very little of what actually went down during their interaction leading up to the airlock, so we’ll just let the concept lie there for the moment.)
Wake conceives, carries, and gives birth to Gideon, the distanced but biological child of God, knowing she’ll be used as a sacrifice, knowing through trial and error that the only viable method for this plan to work is through carrying the child herself. she does it all under the faith that if she does it all correctly, if she works hard enough, toughs it out, it will all be worth it. arguably, she never sees the Tomb fully opened, but she sees it breached.
another fun tidbit from this train of thought is the idea that her niece is named Our Lady of the Passion, a tangential name for the Virgin Mary in some sects of catholicism. beyond death, Wake’s belief in her mission to rid the universe of John and the Houses, her passion, as it were, is once again present in Pash, who is not exactly present when the Tomb is opened, but is around and conscious enough of her connections and roles to realise her dang cousin is also hanging around on the same planet her aunt died on. excited to see whatever dynamic she and Gideon develop in atn, Muir willing.

Not gonna get into danganronpa another spoilers because this whole scene is something else that I’m still processing but I absolutely love this line. Like to bring up milgram I think this is an idea which can reflect on lots of the characters as well. The idea of basing your entire existence off of a certain thing/person/ideology and then for something to happen that completely destroys that. Your entire person has been stripped away and just what’s left? You can’t comprehend your own existence or meaning without that specific attachment and you start to question all of your actions based off that…
I can only really think of John, Kotoko, and Es here (and possibly Amane and Mikoto to an extent). And John bases his life off of Mikoto, Kotoko upholding justice, and Es being the warden.
John’s idea of his whole existence and reason for being is Mikoto. It’s the only reason he believes he exists and if he were to fulfill his role he’d “disappear” as he would be completely worthless without him. John tries to repress and ignore his humanity and reduce himself as a tool to protect Mikoto and that’s all he can see himself as. But now Mikoto’s starting to not deny his existence and feels pure hatred for everything about him. And what will happen to John, when the person he’s dedicated his entire life to and desperately wants praise from, denies his existence? What will he be but some worthless existence that is only a burden, to him.
Kotoko. An ideology of upholding justice and punishing evil that has completely overtaken her. She has pushed herself into a role of a “fang” for justice, protecting the weak and persecuting evil. But even so matter how much she tries, she knows her goals are unreachable. She denies relationships and attachments to other people based on this ideology. Kotoko admits that she does feel attachment to the prisoners, but has to deny them in order to fulfill the role as a tool. And believes that pain and violence is necessary to achieving a greater good. Trying to deny any regret because wouldn’t it be easier to believe you’re entirely in the right? She latched onto Es, believing them to be similar as the warden who carries out judgement on wether the prisoners are forgivable or not. But now, Es has denied her whole ideology, her whole existence due to the pain she’s caused. Kotoko wants to believe that what she did was right and that Es, another enforcer of justice would accept her, because that’s how it is.
And Es… they’re the warden of the prison. There’s nothing more to them than that they believe. Es has no memories of their identity or past before Milgram and immediately latched onto the identity given to them, of being the guard. Es took this role as their entire identity, an extension of the milgram system in order to interrogate and judge prisoners. I think Muu put this best.
“Warden-san, we call you "warden" because that's what you are, right? And I was assigned the role of prisoner, but that doesn't mean I'm now nothing but a prisoner at heart, too. After all, I'm still me.”
Es has an unstable sense of identity, to the point they latched on to the first thing they were given in order to give themselves a purpose and a meaning for existence. And Kotoko calling them “imperfect caused them to question their identity. But as the story progresses Es will probably begin to learn about the audiences control and the truth behind what they assumed to be their verdicts. That their will never was 100% their own. Who knows what Es’ past was, but eventually they’ll likely have to tackle it and their whole identity, the warden, the arms of milgram, is gone.
gonna think about Mikoto and Amane here as well. Mikoto, although may not seem to be as first, focuses his entire identity around other people. He’s the friendly sociable guy who’s easy to chat with. But that’s all he believes he should be, I guess. As perhaps this mindset is upheld by an inherent fear of other people rejecting him, so he focuses all his attention and identity on being a social person. He’s never truly friends with people, as perhaps that would be “too close” and open up the possibility for danger. He doesn’t completely deny his identity like the others, but he molds and shapes it in a way that is acceptable to others. He likes what everyone else likes and does what everyone else does so the fear of being rejected for being different won’t hurt him. But now he’s stopped denying John’s existence and his DID, believing himself to be crazy, and to be completely rejected from other people, his entire sense of identity to an extent. And especially with John scaring other people off with the mindset that will help Mikoto, he has now been completely distanced from everyone else and now has to come to terms with himself, but not the ideal persona he put on to be acceptable to other people.
Amane is a more different case as she in a way has rejected that idea, but not completely. Growing up in a cult it’s very likely that she was always conditioned that she was just a servant for god. That all the good things she did were actually god blessing her and all the bad things a fault of her humanity, herself as a person. She is in a unstable relationship with the whole submitting her personhood to her religion, as she sacrificed her ideologies in order to help a cat. But at the core, that wasn’t about herself and her identity, rather a focus on the cat’s life. Amane’s murder was her will. Rejecting everything and fighting for her life in direct opposition to what she has been taught her entire life and how her identity should be, a rejection of that and a glance into “herself”. But once again, this murder wasn’t entirely self motivated. She’s still broken enough that she can’t fully grasp herself as a person besides god and religion. And a large cause of her murder was out of the death of the cat, rather than simply protecting herself. Amane still slips back into the belief that her personhood is entirely dedicated to god. As she tried to convince herself and Es that the only reason she killed is because they deserved religious punishment and she is in the right for carrying out god’s will, once again denying her personal reason for doing so. Reducing herself to “we” on behalf of her religion, that this isn’t herself anymore. Amane is in a limbo between rejecting her personhood for god, but at the same time rejecting the suffering she’s been through in order to save “herself”. Amane’s case is so interesting, as there’s no clear answer of what she believes in here, and it is truly fascinating.
#milgram#Milgram theory#milgram analysis#amane momose#mikoto kayano#john kayano#john milgram#kotoko yuzuriha#es milgram#uhhhh this was meant to be a quick analysis how did this turn into an exploration of the identities of 5 characters#And comparing it to a scene from dra which focused a lot around the loss of someone’s beliefs completely destroying their identity?#May analyse that scene directly because the whole philosophical and psychological concepts coming into play there is just soooo cool#and man I was kinda figuring out stuff as I was writing this but like I said it’s so interesting how Amane isn’t completely dedicated to go#Like the other characters I mentioned who have dedicated their whole identities to something#And Amane’s at the struggling between her true self and her perfect religious self#But perhaps she doesn’t entirely realise this conflict going on within#Which is interesting as a realisation of their identities would probably cause the other characters to lose it#But Amane it’s coming to her in a different way#She’s so strong uahhhahhajajshshshs#Tw cults#Ok now thinking about this more I’m starting to see this whole ideology apply to other dra characters as well#Man this is just so interesting#Like Kinji although having nowhere near as bad of a situation of amane was in a way forced to repress his emotions his entire life#Due to religious reasons and to devote his life to god and reject personhood#Surprisingly he’s actually not a bad person but still is very stoic and avoids other people due to being taught those values#And kinji’s a whole parallel to Tsurugi so this would be really interesting#I would talk about Tsurugi here but this is primarily a milgram post so for everything he’s like kotoko with a dedication to justice#But handles it in a very different way#His story is just way to long to analyse now#But hey this is an invitation to play (or watch bc downloading the game is hard technically) danganronpa another

Transcription: Zayne's ST "Beginning"
i transcribed Zayne's ST story for meta purposes and thought I would put the transcription here for others to have it if they haven't unlocked it yet/to have it more accessible than it is in game
everything with "Foreseer:" is Zayne speaking directly, anything not attributed is the poem. i did it this way to make it easier to read the poem on its own, since that's what i hope to analyze in the future <3
Foreseer: Shift your gaze elsewhere. Foreseer: Your expression shall not even earn an ounce of my pity. Foreseer: Though it seems a night in the throne room was not enough. Foreseer: Perhaps you desire to be frozen with the wall as your paltry confessional? [Ice SFX] Foreseer: Better to yield now than later. [Page turning SFX] Foreseer: Could you still be interested in what I’m currently reading? Foreseer: …Certainly, ’tis a poem related to Astra. Its descriptions suit you. Foreseer: Would you like to hear it? - A great distance beyond, …. north of ice and snow, Atop the Divine Mountain, When Light pierces through howling blizzards, The divine sing of Destiny’s crest My Emissary devout, Will thou be lost in these celestial halls? Will thou have the courage to wait for Mine words? To unveil thy fate predetermined. - Foreseer: You appear to be fascinated. Foreseer: [Laugh?] Hmph, then don’t speak. - With the frozen kingdom awakened, Greedy ants fall into eternal slumber. The divine rest upon their thrones, Yet hidden daggers lie beneath their robes. Brazen trespasser, Arcticyons sing of thy requiem. Dost thou know where thy stands, Upon white, gleaming bones? - Foreseer: I don’t mind repeating this verse. Consider it a prophesy of your future. Foreseer: Are you frightened? Foreseer: If this is all your courage is capable of, you best forget about the Creatio Protocore. [Page turning SFX] - Traces of destiny like shimmering starlight, Bind people who have never met… - Foreseer: I’ll stop here. The last verse is rather strange. Foreseer: Do you truly wish to strike a deal? Foreseer: You ask far too many questions. [Ice SFX] Foreseer: Must your wild curiosity be satiated? - Celestial Savior, Is thou prepared? To save him from darkness? To be his sanctuary amidst rime and gale, To allow the descent… of miracles once again? - [END] here is the poem in its entirety without interjections just to make it easier to read:
A great distance beyond, …. north of ice and snow, Atop the Divine Mountain, When Light pierces through howling blizzards, The divine sing of Destiny’s crest My Emissary devout, Will thou be lost in these celestial halls? Will thou have the courage to wait for Mine words? To unveil thy fate predetermined. With the frozen kingdom awakened, Greedy ants fall into eternal slumber. Celia being in TMagP has implications and MUST mean something right???
So Celia Ripley is voiced by Lowri Ann Davies, Lowri Ann Davies ALSO voiced a character from TMA named Lynne Hammond. However during The Eyepocolypse (TM) lost her identity and name. So she comes up with a new one, she names herself… you guessed it, Celia.
So, what does this mean. Some people are saying that Celia isn’t the same one from TMA, but instead this universes Celia. However I don’t believe this to be true as if it were her name would be Lynne Hammond (still voiced by Lowri Ann Davis). So unless something SUPER STRANGE AND OUT THERE is happening, this MUST be Celia from TMA.
Did she fall through the crack at hilltop road??? Was she pulled through with the Dread Entities??? What’s going on?????

I like the idea of lupin as a manipulative person. All throughout the books lupin is quietly in charge of the situations he exists in.
First lesson in poa: he is late, which can be a power move of itself, then he humiliates peeves and snape in the span of maybe 10min.
He keeps calling snape by his first name, which puts him into snapes personal space, which is not reciprocated once, afaik.
He holds some power over Sirius while he sits in azkaban, by not fighting for his right for a trial at least.
He holds power over Harry, dumbledore and the entire ministry by not disclosing Sirius' status as animagus.
Something he MUST have known helped Sirius break into hogwarts.
He quickly regains sirius' trust by immediately jumping on his side in the shack - a fact that he quietly proves again and again by sharply calling Sirius to shut up when remus sees fit.
Both times Harry faints in his direct vicinity, he slaps him awake, and then gives him chocolate (a fact that is important to me for reasons I can't fully explain yet), which can be seen as a carrot and stick sort of thing.
The one time we really see lupin lose his composure is in a situation in which no one can see the outcome: when tonks gets pregnant with his child. No one knows what happens when a werewolf fathers a child, much less when their partner is a metamorphmagus. Remus is in over his head and lashes out - yet knows exactly where to find Harry.
This leads me to some theories to his role in some other situations:
what if it was actually Remus who requested a job at hogwarts as soon as he knew Sirius escaped, instead of dumbledore asking him to fill the position? This put him right under dumbledores nose, and thus into his circle of somewhat implied trust.
In the framework of wolfstar as a ship: what if sirius was easily seduced by Remus, because Sirius was used to a certain kind of manipulation from home - something he easily falls prey to, and is attracted to, because it's familiar? The Shack Incident™ can easily work as a guilt inducing tactic to hold over sirius' head whenever he needs it, despite lupins obvious disregard for consequences when directly talking about it in poa.
He becomes prefect because dumbledore knows him to hold some sort of power over his friends - a power he yields as he sees fit.
As to lupins lack of contact to Harry after poa: I can imagine this to be connected to the reason why he didn't have friends before hogwarts. He must have had some acquaintances in the first 11 years of his life. People he liked, people who liked him. We see him easily forge connection in his 30s, he has the 3 most loyal friends hogwarts has to show for itself in his teens.
The depth of the relationships is entirely by his design and on his terms.
Taking these parts of his character into account its no wonder Sirius believed him to be the spy, and for james to believe sirius so easily

Hi everyone, and this is my post with theories and headcanons about John Titor because I love her so much and she is my daughter!! <3
❗The theories and headcanons were created with the help of my wife, who I told everything I know about this character so far (my knowledge may be incomplete). These are just our thoughts and guesses. We may be wrong on some points, sorry!!! But we have been doing a little research with John Titor's story and her voice lines in the game, and today I want to share it
John Titor's diary
In her diary entries, John Titor notes the weather on a particular day. e.g.: June 16, rain; January 29, snow, and so on. perhaps this helps her remember events better
She describes war and chaos in the world. There could be several possibilities here:
She has experienced violence in the past (abuse, abusive behavior, etc.), which traumatized her, and the war is a veiled description of her experience. This is how she conveys her feelings and perception of the world around her;
There was a war at the time (the diary does not give the year), she was a victim of warfare and violence (she was taken prisoner, sent to a concentration camp and had horrible things done to her). She kept a diary at the time or wrote about past events;
You probably know the story of John Titor, who called himself a time traveler. On a forum dedicated to creepypasta he wrote "predictions of the future", detailing events that he said might happen. Maybe John Titor (the character) was fascinated by this story and just made it all up, based on what the real John Titor predicted, because her personality was built on this mysterious person. Or...John Titor (the character) calls herself a time traveler for a reason. Maybe she really is one, and in diary she describes an event from her time (war, cancellation of the Olympics, chaos in the world) while predicting the future. These are the two reasons she has that name in the game
Fan fact: her badge looks a lot like the symbol of the existing "John Titor Foundation" that published a book about the "time traveler" that included his forum entries
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Reverse: 1999 wiki, 2. Wikipedia
John Titor's voice lines
I was using other people's translation of her hexadecimal code phrases into words. I'm also making assumptions based on the theories i've previously described
Under "to the future" she says "crazy like me.". According to previous assumptions about her diary entries, it can be said that she is traumatized by her experiences of violence or war. she may have depression and PTSD, and this phrase is her idea of the future, which is typical of people with mental disorders;
Under "hobby" she says "Corvette 1966 black". According to Google, that's the make of the car. Why is she talking about it? Let's look at "bond: night", her phrase is "wanna go on a drive". I think these phrases are related. Maybe she doesn't sleep at night (she has bruises under her eyes) and it's at night that she can spend time doing her hobby: she's literally driving a car. Or it's in her imagination and she's just reflecting in this time;
In the "hat and hair" column she says "hey don't touch me". She may have experienced violence, it could have been bullying by someone or it could have happened during the war she wrote about in the diary. In any case, she is not tactile at all as a result of the traumatic events, she hates to be touched and doesn't let anyone touch her. You can also see that her hair is cut unevenly, which could also be due to the traumatic events;
Under "clothing and torso" she says "a soldier's physique". This description could mean that she witnessed or participated in warfare and/or, again, experienced violence. Either way, she notes her resilience. She was able to endure and survive horrific events as if she were a soldier. Or is this another reference to "time traveler" John Titor, who called himself a soldier
Why does John Titor only interact with everyone using hex code?
Given the theory that she is indeed a time traveler, we can make the assumption that code is the "language of the future," a way of interacting between people whose lives are entirely built on and dependent on technology;
Perhaps because of the traumatic events I wrote about earlier, John Titor no longer wants to associate herself with people in any way, to be like them, to speak human language. She decided to completely restructure her personality and become something like a mechanical machine
That's it for now! I hope this post is enjoyed by the likes of theory and headcanon fans in this fandom, I really tried hard to make it as good as possible. Again, I don't consider everything described above to be canon, it's just speculation and conjecture. I wanted to share my thoughts, and I'm proud of it because I love John Titor!! Also my knowledge may be incomplete and my views may differ. I welcome constructive criticism and reasoning <3

“Not my first rodeo, Sess.  Or should I call you Q?”
“Q?” the demon reeled back, yanking the contract from her hand.  A moment later his face was centimeters from hers, squinting fiercely.  Recognition seemed to dawn on him and his mouth fell open in delight, “Well I’ll be.  It’s Commander, isn’t it?  Commander Una Chin-Riley?  You always were Kathy’s favorite.”
Eve blinked, “Do I want to know who that is?”
“Oh, delightful woman, I assure you.”  Suddenly his face was in hers once more, “So, how did you come to be here, I wonder.”  Sesselman, Q, circled her slowly, an absolutely delighted grin on his face.  From the corner of her eye Eve caught the look on Sam’s face.  That would be something to deal with later.  “Time travel?  You Illyrians always were rather long-lived.”
Eve grit her teeth, “I wouldn’t know.”
            “No?” Q circled her again.
“No.”  Setting her jaw, Eve stepped right up to the demon, “But we’ve got more important things to deal with.”
“More important?” Q glanced down at the contract in his hand, “Ah yes.  You mortals, always so serious about a little death and destruction.”
Eve arched an eyebrow, “So if I make a wish, are you going to follow through with it?”
“Oh yes, yes,” Q waved a hand.  “The contract is binding.  And I always play by the rules.”
“I’m not sure I believe that.”  Eve rolled her eyes when Q pouted, “Fine, I wish you were human.”
“Haha!  Wrong—wait, human?”  Q whimpered a little, a fiery orange glow bathing the demon’s body.  “Starfleet,” he gasped, “Never any fun.”
            “Wasn’t trying to be.”
Q snickered, “Well played ma chère.  Until we meet again, Commander.”  With a snap of his fingers, and a bright flash of light, he was gone.
            Eve jumped back.
“Okay,” Sam snapped, “What was that?”
Eve shook her head slowly, “Extra-dimensional… Y’know what?  Let’s not go there.”  She turned to cross the street.
“Wha—wait, Eve!” Sam scrambled after her, “Eve.  How do you know that man?”
            “I don’t.”
“That didn’t sound like a conversation you have with someone you’ve never met.  Hey,” they’d made it across the street and Sam reached out to grab hold of her, “Hey.  Eve, talk to me.  Or… what did he call you?  Commander U—”
Eve whipped a hand up, “Don’t.”
“C’mon Eve!  You’re the one who was all over me this morning about lying!  And now, what?  Twice?  In one day?”
“I’m not lying!” she snapped.  “I’m not,” she repeated at his skeptical look.  “I wasn’t lying then, and I’m not lying now.  I don’t… I have no idea what that man was talking about.”
“You knew enough to call him something completely different—”
“You’re right, I did.  But Sam, I don’t have answers to your questions.  For either of us.”

there's only a little overlap between Mulder and Roman as characters, but one thing is I can easily picture both of them guiltily becoming Munchausen's boys when the object of their affections is a doctor
i was writing a writing an AU where Gerri was the doctor at Roman's boarding school so I had 17-18 year old Rome trying to give himself pneumonia and when he caught a cold by walking around without a hat and coat in a New Hampshire winter and purposefully eating strawberries when they make him stop breathing so that he could stay in the infirmary and be coolly doted on by Gerri, and it continued on after a fashion even after he left for college (though by that point Gerri had put her foot down about intentional anaphylaxes).
Meanwhile it's not a struggle at all to picture Mulder putting his hands in evidence and jumping in icy bodies of water and recklessly chasing armed or dangerously mutant suspects all by himself -- all things he does anyway -- a little more instantly and intentionally because he knows if he ends up with a fever or stitches or a concussion he'll probably be taken home and aggressively hovered over by a certain Dr. Scully.
They both have that, 'I am very willing and happy to suffer in order to receive love and affection,' thing going on.

The color theory of Santino and John
The blue color is more associated with John, I agree, so I will just write down my theory on Santino's and John's colors
l'introduzione
You can see the blue color throughout all 4 movies BUT here it makes even more sense to me. In this scene when Santino shows up for the first time, you can see the blue color while John walked towards the door and when he opened it, there was still slight blue shade colors around Santino, indicating that he was indeed in John's presence.
The moment Santino enters the house, the blue color was slowly moving towards the warmer colors. BUT the reason why John's blue color didn't follow the whole time even though they were clearly in his house was because Santino was the more dominant one
Tumblr media
How he acted genuinely like he's at home in some ways, how he asked for the favor with the marker, how he looked at the pictures, etc. So, the more lighter warm orange colors were present bc that could be connected with Santino. So those colors overwhelmed the blue colors
Tumblr media
When Santino was preparing to blow up John's house, you can see more of the blue color, meaning he is going to take away something big from John and he wasn't feeling threatened by John at all. As he blew up the house you can clearly see the warmer colors from the fire and how now with that Santino had the full control over him

In the museum, John entered into Santino's space, so there was barely any of the blue color, if any bc Santino was, again, the more dominant one. Yet, Santino was wearing a blue suit this time. When he met with him again. Keep this mind for later. Which to me, at least indicates that they are really connected, and I think other than the Tarasovs, Santino is the next one that has the closest relationship to him. They both seem to know each other and their actions pretty well

La Chiamata
When Santino called John and got hung up on, there is a mix of warm colors with the blue color, although with the blue color overpowering other colors. Meaning, Santino didn't feel as confident as he did before because he realized he fucked up and he kinda panicked which you can see that no matter how he tried to remain calm, he was a bit worried. He knows what John is capable of. He was only feeling more confident and like he had more power than John because he was the one that helped John Wick with the Impossible task. It gave him a big boost to his ego

Hai pugnalato il diavolo alle spalle
The scene with Winston, again, more or Santino's warm colors because he was overpowering the space. Plus, the way he was sitting, he knew Winston couldn't really do shit to him. So, Santino was dominating the space. And Santino was so confident that he kinda ignored Winston's warning. Even though you can see a little bit of the blue color in the middle. Because John is out to get his ass

Presto Museum
And in the final, Santino was wearing a nice blue suit. A second time, he was wearing a blue suit while John was present. I don't think that was a coincidence.
The warm colors are still present the whole time until John starts chasing him. The whole time as Santino was running away (actually walking fast) from him, the scenes were having more of the blue shades because he lost the control over the situation

In the hotel, warmer colors because Santino was confident that he was safe there, so he had most of the control. And we all know what happened next... it didn't go as planned for him

I can’t tell if Bill is in character or not.
I have a theory that just before this photo was taken, Dave told a dirty joke or something and that’s why Bill is making that face 😭💀
He’s probably like: “oh boy, here we go again…”
And then Dave is like: “yeah I said that shit”
