All logic dictates that Monty should be my favourite animatronic in Security Breach but he's just too dumb and one dimensional for me to care past 'haha he funny and stupid.'

He's green, which is my favourite colour. I love his design probably the most, since upon playing Security Breach, The Daycare attendant did not appeal to me so much anymore.

He's an alligator, the animal which I have loved since I was a child, and since had a crazy resurgence of fixation upon, and Gator Golf is my absolute favourite attraction in the Pizzaplex.

It's such a shame they nerfed him and gave the least on-screen character development or character, at all.

Sure, in the notes he's part of a big, unraveling mystery of where the hell Glamrock Bonnie is and that had people talking. The Golf arcade game also showed a consistent pattern of male-alligator-typical behaviour of competition, territorialism and a sustained idea that bringing others down to further his own success is something deep within his coding.

Yet still, with the other animatronics like Chica and Roxanne, we are shown, not soley told about their behaviors and motivations.

Roxanne laments over her eyes, Chica gobbles down trash. The two instances we are given of Monty having any near-adjacent desires or personality, are him off-camera trashing his green room and one instance of bashing in a gun in the catwalks cutscene.

We aren't explicitly shown any abbrasiveness towards other males, or unwillingness to work with others and do his own thing.

This could have been remedied by having him walk out of certain tasks when it becomes too bothersome looking for Gregory or pursuing him, e.g. for the Prize Counter security badge, he cpuld get outraged and start furiously banging on the doors, yelling to be let in, before walking off.

The same could also be implemented for obtaining the showtime disk. They could've utilised the backstage space you see into at this moment to show Monty pacing around, rampaging and trashing every piece of equipment in sight, maybe ranting and raving over how Freddy seemingly isn't pitching in and doing as much work to find this kid running around backstage.

Monty could even launch with his powerful back legs, up at the window you view the backstage area from, and gouge at the glass. Or comedically smash face first? Maybe it could be used as a Map Bot-style jumpscare which truly takes you by surprise?

He was just so underutilised and I'm a little upset thinking about what could have been. They didn't have to make him something he's not, merely show what an interesting and accurate-to-animal character they created.

Brooooo, rant time but why is it so hard to be a female in society?

My friend made a comment a few days ago about how she's watching her weight and now it's all I can think about too. Adding that my new medicine makes me feel hungry constantly and that in one of my classes I watched a Ted talk from a model on beauty standards, it's fair to say that it's been on my mind a lot.

I think everyone is gorgeous. I don't think someone can be ugly. It's just health and confidence. Of course, there are some aspects that I'm personally more attracted to, but that doesn't make them less beautiful.

But I've always hated my body shape. I'm a pear and have really thick thighs and a big butt and I just hate it. I hate how I look in the mirrors, I hate how I can't look at my face, I hate how my skin itches all over, and I really, truly hate that I'm thinking about this so much.

I know I should love myself. I know that I should be grateful all my limbs are functioning and I don't have very many health concerns to worry about. But I'm not. And that's what I hate.

My mom said yesterday that I have all the bad family traits and sometimes it feels like it's true. My legs get red splotches when I'm outside in the sun, I can't figure out a decent way to style my hair when it's short, my face is too chunky, and I have the stupid ugly pear shape body with too thick thighs.

And I don't want anybody out there to think I'm talking about them because I'm not. I'm really not. You're all so beautiful and incredible and gorgeous. Your smile lights up the whole room and I don't have to even meet you to know that you make the world a better place just by existing.

I just can't say those same things about myself.

When I was younger I hated the color pink because I didn't want to be seen as a 'girly-girl'. I was told that being a girl is bad. And it might have been a bit to do with my transness, but I would always proudly declare that I was a 'tom-boy'.

It's unfair that little girls can't be themselves. It's unfair that clothing never fits anyone right and that we still don't have pockets in jeans. It's unfair that women are constantly criticized for anything under the sun.

But you know what? I'm not ashamed of my body. Even if it makes me want to claw off my own skin sometimes, I love it. And maybe, if I dare to even hope, one day I'll be able to look in a mirror and smile because I am beautiful.

The… man behind the counter has a strange look about him like some sort of monster… but he seems tired, as if worn down to the end of his rope.

You’re in a coffee shop, in a usually quiet part of the golden city that has recently gained a lot more foot traffic! You’re not sure why, after all, the only business this way is this coffee shop and it’s not like any other things of interest are nearby, all you know is that the Queen wants more development in this area because of some recent event she hasn’t elaborated much on. But who are you to question she who hath slain destruction himself?

There aren’t many people here, the barista seems almost in disbelief that ANYONE is. There’s a bit of an… antisocial attitude to him. But you feel like something about this situation is ENCOURAGING you to talk… though that may just be the sign put up in the window telling you to.

About the AU

Golden Cheese Cookie is not quite what she used to be. Though I’m not gonna go much into exactly everything that went down yet, y’all are gonna have to figure that out.

You are a citizen of the golden city and you have entered a coffee shop run by one singular barista, “Habanero Cheddar Cookie”, who is well… burning spice cookie. He doesn’t remember this, in fact, he doesn’t remember being anything more than a regular cookie.

Nero is a little bit of an out of character version of burning spice for AU related reasons. You can say pretty much anything to him. This is made for RP specifically! Though I will not reply if you break rules.

You may occasionally get to talk to golden cheese herself, and occasionally will get posts detailing different parts of the AU like what Nero does when not at work.

Sometimes there will be art, not always.

The rules are

- Do not directly tell Nero what’s going on, or use any powers to directly save him, you can play some chatacter who knows more than him but try to engage within the narrative. Even if the character you are playing knows who he is and is trying to get him out remember… the queen is watching and you don’t want to end up like him.

- don’t be too sexual. You can be sexual but jokes only please we are not that kind of blog

- If you want you can interact with AU versions of characters including BS himself or GC- but these will be non canon interactions

- No proshipping

- You can flirt with Nero if you want but Nero is aromantic and unlikely to return advances so don’t be too disappointed when he gives you the cold shoulder.

- do not try to force me to do anything.

A bunch of NiGHTS stuff from vol. 10 of Game Hihyou - under the read more is an interview with Sonic Team that covers a bunch of stuff: game development, music/sound creation, publicity for the game, etc.

The posters on the left were made to count down the days until the release of Futabasha’s NiGHTS strategy guide, not sure if there are color versions as I’ve never seen these anywhere else (that strategy guide isn’t available online either)

Also some NiGHTS concept art, Naoto Ohshima posted these to Twitter in 2017 but this is the first time I’ve seen them in a magazine

Some interesting stuff from the interview (all pages are below the read more):

The process of creating the game’s sound effects was difficult, as the team had to create sounds that “don’t exist in this world.” Hataya gave the example of creating the sound of NiGHTS flying through a ring: “There’s no right answer, but if it makes the player think “huh?” then it’s a good sound.”

The Japanese packaging of the game included a white background to keep with the designs of Sonic game packaging. They also mention that a white background is rare for game packaging, so it would stand out more.

For the design team, there was a struggle to balance “the characters we wanted to make” with “the characters that would sell.” They mention that NiGHTS was initially criticized for “being scary” and “having harsh eyes,” among other things. “There were voices saying that in order to get people to buy the game, the chatacters had to be two-dimensional and cheesy. However, that was not what Sonic Team, and Ohshima, the designer, wanted.”

People weren't kidding, that really was one of the most Xingyun moments ever, lol.

Aside from Xingqiu stammering and blushing at Chongyun's compliments and the absolute anime romcom trope-iness that is Chongyun obliviously asking why Xingqiu's face is red (we win! we win!!), can we also talk about how damning Traveler's teasing was?

"His yang energy seems to be surging, too."

Traveler is clearly very tongue-in-cheek about this, knowing full well Xingqiu doesn't have the same pure-yang disposition as Chongyun, and therefore won't blush because of it. However, given the multiple occasions Hoyo has gone out of their way to utilize Chongyun's condition in the past as a medium for tropey, anime-like responses of embarassment (i.e. Chongyun's pure-yang energy giving him a nosebleed when Xingqiu tried to sing to him in the "If You Were Rex Lapis" stream), it does come across as pointed observation from the Traveler to subtly mess with Xingqiu and Chongyun alike about the ways they willingly and unwillingly fluster each other.

So yeah, very cute. ^_^

Aside from that, can I just say I absolutely love this event and want it to be a cemented feature for the rest of the game's runtime? I'm not seeing enough people talking about it! It's really the perfect solution for the gacha game dilemma of chatacter oversaturation.

I, as much as the next person, wish for all our faves to have the most perfect epic event quest tailor-made for them, with character depth, development and all. However, since:

1. Hoyo is allergic to sustained character development, even in the event of characters getting a really cool, awesome 10/10 event or story quest, and...

2. Characters will likely not get attention unless it is for a promotional thing such as an outfit, banner rerun, or character debut, which exponentially decreases the likelihood of non-new 4 stars getting any attention. (The summer events are pretty much all we can rely on for a random scramble of characters coming into the spotlight after being shelved without it being sales related, haha!)

...I think this is the next best thing!

Giving us little canned, slice-of-life looks into the character's day-to-day, without a grandiose story or threat, is such a wonderful way to see the characters act in low-stake situations that aren't centered around having a hangout that's focused on them acting as a host to the Traveler. Instead, we're checking in on *their* affairs and goals, and even having little snippets into their interactions with other characters outside of just what we may read about their relationships in the Character Story!

I absolutely LOVED the cutscene with Yao Yao and Qiqi where Qiqi mourns the fact that her memory issues will cause her to forget the episodic experience of every lovely memory she has with the people she cherishes, and that she'll be forced to only relive them through her impersonal journal records. When she was talking about forgetting the green of the leaves, the breeze, and the feel of Yao Yao's hand, I felt my heart break a little bit. It's some of the most compelling on-screen discussion of Qiqi's condition since, well, as far back as I can remember!

And they didn't need a big Qiqi-centered SQ or event for it- they pulled it off with nothing more than a handful of small cutscenes that clued us in to the more intimate parts of Qiqi's life.

If we keep this kind of event present in the game, and switch it up between prior regions, I think it'll help so much with keeping the world feel alive, and keeping the players still compelled by their favorites from previous regions without necessarily stealing the spotlight from whatever focal point region is active at the time. I love reminders that our old friends are still up to their own affairs, struggling with new day-to-day problems, and missing us while we're away- but still entrenched in their own goals and relationships (and not like. ceasing to exist when the Traveler is gone, lol).

So anyway, I hope to see the playerbase giving this event some love so it may come back due to popular demand, this time having more Inazuma and Sumeru characters!

SO I'VE JUST WATCHED THIS AND I AM GOING TO GIVE MY THOUGHTS ABOUT EVERY LITTLE THING

First of all, here's the synopsis.

We got a lot of details here !! Tube's Tube. I don't really understand why, but it sounds funny. 12M viens and 12,000,000 likes. Why 12 ? Is it a hint towards à 12th game ? There are currently 11 Ace Attorney games. This vidéo recaps pretty much everything (except the prof Layton crossover...), so it MIGHT point towards a new game :). On the right of "Likes" and "Share" there is "DL|6" :). We cannot see how many subscribers Nick has, but since the video has lots of likes, I think it's safe to assume that he has a good amount of subscribers and that he is possibly a youtuber (in this version of the AA universe at least). On the right we can see 3 other videos : MUST WATCH - Top 3 Bedtime Picture Books by Laurice Deauxnim-Scented Adventures with 3.8K views uploaded 2 weeks ago. We don't know when Nick's video was uploaded (most likely more recently than two weeks) but maybe Larry is a more successful youtuber than Nick ?? Also, I'm pretty sure that Franzy's Whippity-Whip Trip is in this video :). Then we have Her Benevolence dances the Panic Dance by Kingdom of Kura'in Embassy with 3.15M likes and uploaded 1 (idk) ago. Idk who this character is so uh, idk what to say. But "Panic Dance" sounds fun heh. Then we have No Objections Judge's gourmet courthouse specials by His Honor Eats with 2 views uploaded 21 years ago. Poor old Judge :(. Also, Capcom is plastered everywhere. I mean, this video is part of marketing so of course.

I didn't recongize Edgeworth's VA (cuz i've only watched the first anime episode + the bloopers) so... idk do your own research I don't care that much honestly. How about the "Objection!" Voiceline actors tho. Who are they. They're the closest to their official voice actors.

Anyways, tl;dr : this is a recap of all of Ace Attorney (minus the Layton crossover) + Ghost Trick. There is the number 12 at the beginning and Ghost Trick is mentionned, so my theory is that they're planning a 12th game which is a Ghost Trick crossover :)
