I loved your take on yautja x superpowered human. It gave me more idea of an ask 😅 (if you don’t mind 🥹). So I was thinking after their clashes again and again, the predator and the superhuman actually fall for each other. And in near future, they do end up having their own pups. When it comes to appearances, they take after their yautja dad, but end up inheriting their mother’s superpowers. So now you have got literal naturally genetically superpowered new yautja type. How would his clan react to this union? Would they be sceptical about this union or would they actually see it as a win win situation?
Here you go🫶🏻
Yautja x Superpowered Reader
Bloodlines (I swear I didnt copy the new Final Destination movie lmaooooo)
The ship cracked through the planet’s atmosphere like a war cry. Inside, cloaked in shadow and silver light, stood the warrior they once knew.. undefeated, unrelenting but he was no longer alone. She stood beside him, radiant as the stars he crossed to reach her, eyes sharp with power, body wrapped in armor of her own design. She didn’t need it, of course. Her skin was tougher than metal and her heart.. was far harder to win than any hunt he’d ever completed. Yet here she was, his mate. Not because he conquered her. Because he couldn’t.. and because she didn’t want to live without him either. Their story wasn’t one the Elders would sing in praise. It began in blood. In combat. The first time they clashed, she knocked him unconscious in seconds. He woke up humiliated and enthralled. She laughed at him. Called him “trophy boy.” Let him live. He came back. Again and again. Until it wasn’t about the hunt anymore. It was about her.
Now, years later, they returned with children. Three of them. Small, spined things with Yautja skin and dreadlocks but glowing eyes, floating footsteps, and power that rippled through the ship like a low, endless hum. They were still young, but their strength was undeniable. One had ripped the cargo door off mid-tantrum. The other could speak six languages by age two, including Yautja war-code and ancient Earth dialects. And the third? The third had already tracked a prey without a single tool, using only instinct. Her instinct. And his precision. They were… evolution. However evolution didn’t always mean acceptance, not for the elders.
At the Clan’s Gathering Hall he walked into the circle with pride. She followed silent, letting her presence speak louder than her words. And the children? They padded forward, unafraid, their strange energy rattling the sensors of half the warriors nearby. The murmurs were instant.
“Soft-blood.”
The High Elder approached slowly, eyes locked on the hunter.
“You’re a rule-breaker. You bring an outsider. A female who bested you in combat.. and worse, you call her mate.”
He growled, low and deep.
“She raised warriors stronger than your bloodlines can even comprehend.”
The woman stepped forward, voice amused yet cold and calculated.
“You want to reject power because it’s not pure? Then stay weak. I don’t need your approval.”
The room shifted. What was once offense… now looked like salvation.
A new bloodline. Stronger. Smarter. Emotionally unbreakable and physically superior. Half predator, half celestial. The Elder turned, facing the circle.
“Will they fight for us?”
The mother’s smile was wicked.
“Only if they choose to. They’re not weapons.”
Her mate placed a hand on her lower back.
“They’ll fight for what they protect. And what they love. Like their mother.”
He growled.
Later That Night on the highest rooftop of the clan tower, she sat with him, watching the city pulse below.
“Still think I’m a soft-blood?”
She teased. He clicked low, pulling her into his lap. They looked out towards the horizon, where three tiny shapes raced each other glowing, cloaking, crashing into trees. He watched with pride. She watched with love. Together, they waited for the universe to realize what they created: Not just a family. A future.

— back to masterlist.
14th of April; 08:00. — ijichi kiyotaka.
It was mercifully quiet. For once.
Papers were stacked, cursed tool reports sorted, the mission schedule sitting in front of him, printed in neat columns and, weirdly enough, colour-coded with an enthusiasm that Ijichi Kiyotaka rarely encountered in this field of work.
Well, by anybody other than Gojo Satoru, of course. The fact that the thought entered his head had his collar feel tighter already. He ignored the urge to fix his tie.
Instead, Ijichi stared at the sheet of paper like it was about to explode any second, like it was a minefield hiding a nasty surprise. It surely would not be the first time that happened.
Birds faintly chirped through the cracked window and somewhere down the hallway, a door slammed. The air hummed with a low pulse of daily life, of a world that never stopped moving.
The smell of lukewarm tea drifted from the cup at his elbow. It had gone cold whilst he worked, but he didn't bother replacing it. Cold tea, like most things in the Jujutsu world, was a compromise. A sign that peace was temporary, and comfort was optional.
Ijichi's eyes flicked away from the schedule for a moment. He thought about the dry cleaning he'd meant to pick up yesterday: the suit that still waited neglected at the shop on the corner, hanging on a rack. Maybe he would have time to go pick it up after this. Or at least enough time to call and extend the pickup deadline. Again.
The day's small errand nagged at the back of his mind. On the priority list of all the things he would have to finish before the day ended, his clothes ranked medium to low. There was the Honoured One's order at the bakery. At seven in the morning, he had received a call from the white-haired teacher, calling in advance to make sure his fancy, elaborate, excessive assortment of pastry would be picked up today as well.
Ijichi listened. He would go stand in line at a bakery nestled in the wealthiest part of Tokyo, would wait amongst polished shoes and designer handbags to pick up an array of patisserie: five éclairs, two mill-feuille, something including an obscene amount of black sesame as well as whatever else his sweet tooth was persuading the sorcerer to choose. All for someone who could, without lifting a single finger, teleport into the kitchen and take them himself.
He didn't have to; if anything, he doubted Gojo Satoru would acknowledge or appreciate the small kindness within the chaotic schedule. He doubted the strongest sorcerer even really remembered who he called to bring him the pastries each time.
To Gojo Satoru, the world was full of things that simply appeared: sweet things, annoying things, cursed things. Reliably so. Forgettably so.
Ijichi Kiyotaka, who existed somewhere in that blur, listened, still. He always did.
For all the curses roaming the earth, and for all the sorcerers too powerful to be tethered to the ground, Ijichi had to stay grounded. He didn't have a technique worth naming. No raw strength. No title the students feared. But he could organise. He could coordinate, he could make sure that everything in between could and would run as smoothly as possible.
So he listened and allowed the mundane and the monstrous to blend together in his life. Everyday tasks sat uneasily next to cursed tool inventories, mission planning right above — or under, if it were to be how Gojo Satoru liked — the éclairs.
He glanced at the schedule sitting in front of him again, fingers tapping absently against the wood of his desk. Two names stood out, highlighted in a pastel pink. The ink was already dry and there was a tiny heart drawn between the names: a childish decoration in the midst of a professional document.
His palm found his forehead with a sigh. He wasn't stupid. He had known Gojo Satoru for way too long, and had seen far too much to believe this was anything but intentional meddling. Forcing interaction was, after all, his favourite type of mentorship. Regrettably.
He reached for his tea, now long cold, and took a sip. Just as he set the cup back down, the door burst open and the devil personified entered, a drink in hand.
"Good morning, Ijichi!" Gojo sang, long legs already having slinked across the room to lean over Ijichi's shoulder like there was nothing more important than curing his boredom. He slurped loudly from his straw, the little ice cubes clinking together, "Whatcha workin' on?"
Ijichi sighed again, a perpetual frown on his face, "The mission schedule. Same as every monday."
"Ohhh, right."
Gojo Satoru said it like he didn't care to sound like he absolutely knew the answer. He leaned a bit lower, strands of his hair tickling Ijichi's left cheek, "So, who ended up on that Saitama recon again?"
Ijichi didn't look at him, but he felt the expectant hum of Gojo's to indulge the sorcerer in his silly nonsense. Instead, his finger, despite not having to, ran over the bright ink, and Gojo tilted his head like he was reading it for the first time. He even added a gasp of surprise, "No way. Again? Wow, what a crazy little coincidence!"
This time, he did look over. Stared at him, long and hard, "You finalised the assignments yesterday, Gojo-sensei."
There was a brilliant smile on Gojo's lips, though his voice full of exaggerated innocence, "Did I now? Fate seemed to take the wheel from me."
Fate, Ijichi thought, was powerless in the face of Gojo Satoru.
He knew that. Practically everyone did.
Gojo Satoru walked through walls like they didn't exist, rewrote rules just by choosing to ignore them. It was no coincidence that Fushiguro Megumi and the exchange student from Kyoto were paired up again, and it was sure not fate. It was Gojo's hand, deliberate and delicate.
For all he chose and curated, for all the focus he put forth, for all the weight he carried — still, he was exhausting. Incredibly so. A walking migraine, if he was forced to answer the unasked question of how he were to describe Gojo Satoru. But even then, with all the reverence he could muster, he would admit that he could not imagine the world without the safety that the Strongest Sorcerer allowed people to reside in.
"There's a heart. There's even colour-coding."
Gojo made a delighted noise; in between a half-gasp and a half-snort, "You noticed? I was going for a spring theme, rebirth, emotional healing, maybe romance, yadda, yadda. Who knows!"
Ijichi's voice was clipped, teetering on the edge between questioning authority and reminding the friend he's had for years upon years, a slight hesitation somewhere in the folds of his voice, "These are hostile environments, Gojo-sensei."
"I'm just encouraging healthy communication between colleagues."
"It's sabotage."
Gojo grinned, "Exactly. That's what I call mentorship."
Ijichi stared at him again. No matter how many times he saw Gojo like this, loud, flippant, careless — there was always that distant hum beneath it. The sound of something furious and too big for a world like this, with power that could level cities if he ever got tired of pretending to be harmless.
And yet, he still showed up.
Ijichi Kiyotaka didn't always agree with Gojo's methods. In fact, he frequently didn't. But what he understood better than most was this: Gojo Satoru didn't meddle unless he believed something could still be saved.
Ijichi never spoke of it, not because it wasn't his place to do so but also because all he had heard of it was through whispers behind hands. He could only see the aftermath of the days long passed: when the strongest sorcerer in the world stood too still after a mission, the days when his jokes fell flat, or when he seemed to linger in the silence between laughter like he was listening for a voice that wasn't coming back.
He didn't need the details. He'd seen how that one loss had carved itself so very strongly into the way Gojo taught, the way he shielded, the way he pushed his students toward each other like it might save them from the same kind of falling apart.
So no, he didn't always agree with Gojo's choices. He didn't like the manipulation, or the avoidance of responsibility. But he understood one thing: the penance.
16th of April; 16:13. — gojo satoru.
Gojo Satoru loved looking unserious.
It was half the point, really. He knew what people saw when they looked at him. Or, rather, what they thought they saw: the flippant tone, the lazy posture, the half-amused smile that rarely left his face.
That was fine. Let them believe it.
Sure, part of it was his ego. (Okay, a lot of it was ego.)
The rest, though? Was easier for the kids; made the world look a little less terrifying if even for a moment. If their teacher could laugh, lounge, crack jokes like it was a game, then maybe they'd start to believe they could survive it too. Maybe they'd believe they weren't alone, then.
Besides, most of the time, he also was bored out of his goddamn mind.
Spinning his phone between two fingers, he ignored the buzz of notifications he had no intention of reading. Across from him, Yuji and Nobara stood like they'd been summoned for execution.
Weird. He only wanted to talk.
Somehow, he couldn't help feeling a little flattered anyway.
"You two," he said, his voice slipping into a tone of one that held gravity, "are my most trusted servants."
Yuji blinked, his attention perking up at once as if the word servant was a compliment. Truly, the kid smiled at everything. Missions, breakfast, impending death. Honestly, it was impressive, endearing maybe, definitely a little concerning.
Gojo sometimes wondered if Yuji even noticed how depressing this whole sorcerer thing was supposed to be. He had seen him drop into a vicious curse and come out with a hand scratching his head, talking about "wow, that went better than expected!"
Not that Gojo minded.
It did make things easier; made it more entertaining too. There should be more people like that, he thought. Or at least people willing to laugh, willing to be loud and nosy, refusing to drown quietly. If nothing else, it kept the rot from settling in too deep.
Yuji didn't realise it but he did more than fight curses. Gojo watched him grin and shoot Nobara a confused thumbs-up.
Gojo could keep an eye on the darkness, let Yuji chase the sun.
That felt fair.
"We're literally the only ones here," Nobara cut in, her arms crossed, "and you're clearly trying to rope us into something dumb."
God, he loved her.
She saw through everything, sharp in a way that had people flinching. His bullshit didn't impress her, never had. And yet, she still showed up every time. She complained and she threw cutting words, rolled her eyes like she was competing in that sport (Gojo dreaded the day she'd become as good as Maki) but she also crowded around him, trained and fought like someone who had been born angry.
He thought that she reminds him — not of himself, that would be too easy — but of the version of himself he might have been if things had gone differently. If there had been less responsibility, more freedom. If he hadn't been expected to carry the weight of an entire generation on his back.
Well, she doesn't carry the world. No, she does something almost better, rarer, he found: she tried to fight it. She wouldn't have wanted his approval, so he didn't tell her.
Instead, he placed a hand to his chest, "That hurts, Kugisaki. And yet, entirely accurate."
Clapping his hands together once, he sat up.
"Anyway! I have a mission for you both."
Yuji leaned in, eyes lit up. Gojo thought he kind of looked like a dog like that, "Ooh, is it a high-level one? Do we get to punching? I've been working on a move, Gojo-sensei, you should see it. It goes like kapow-bow—"
Gojo caught Yuji's hand easily, tapping it once with his finger, "Sadly, no punching. At least not unless things go horribly wrong."
He paused for a second, because— "which would also be fine."
"What kind of mission?" Nobara's eyes narrowed. "Because I swear, Gojo-sensei, if it's going to run so long again that I'm going to miss my nail appointment again, I will sue you. Do you know how hard it is to get a same-day slot in Tokyo? They had those tiny cucumber water bottles and everything!"
Yuji blinked, "Can you sue your teacher?"
"Watch me."
Yuji leaned in, close, whispering behind a hand held up as if it was going to deter Gojo from understanding everything that was said. The subtlety of a brick, "Do you, like…already have a lawyer?"
"I have three," she snapped, "on speed dial."
"Make sure they're good, Kugisaki," Gojo checked his nails like he was the one being called into the briefing room to listen to what his teacher had to tell him, like he was the one being inconvenienced; a sly smile crossing his lips, "I don't like winning without a good fight."
Nobara scowled, "What is it now, sensei?"
"Emotional surveillance!"
Both, Yuji and Nobara blinked, though one with far more density behind their eyes. Then it shifted: soft confusion on Yuji's like he was trying to solve a riddle without realising that it didn't make any sense, and Nobara's had both, fury and fascination painted all over her features.
He went on, unbothered, of course, "Megumi and little Miss Exchange Student are on an assignment together— again, crazy coincidence, right? And I need both of you to poke around a little, stir the pot, add some spice, report back to me, you know the drill."
"You want us—" Nobara stopped to let it sink in, her tone already halfway resigned, "—to spy on them."
Yuji scratched the back of his neck, "Is that not a little like…invading their space? Like, maybe they just need time to work things out on their own?"
"Itadori," Gojo paused, solemn for exactly half a second, and dropped a hand onto Yuji's shoulder like he was breaking news of a fallen comrade.
There was a time and place for everything, and telling Yuji that he was right was for one, not on Gojo's agenda in any capacity, and two, also not the right time for if it had been.
He leaned in slightly, voice conspiratorially quieter, "Sometimes, the people who need the most help are the ones too proud to ask for it."
A firm clap to Yuji's shoulder, "Besides, we're not spying. It's just to see where we're at. Checking in, if you will. That's what teammates do."
"That sounds exactly like spying."
"Ah, youth," mournful like ever, "So naive. So full of of ethics and decency."
Dropping his gaze, a sigh escaping him softly, "You think I want to do this? No. This is a public service. An act of pure selflessness. Do you know how exhausting it is to walk into every mission debrief and feel the temperature drop twenty degrees?"
Yuji gave a helpless little shrug, "I mean…I do wish they'd stop being so weird around each other. It's kind of awkward."
"Exactly!" Gojo snapped his fingers, "See? Progress."
Yuji glanced at Nobara, and Nobara looked back. A wordless moment passed between them.
It was operation go.
21st of April; 18:02. — itadori yuji.
Yuji sat on a ledge, swinging his legs idly. He held his phone loosely in one hand, fiddling with it like there was no danger that it could slip his grasp and fall thirty feet down. If it did, his reflexes were probably fast enough to catch it immediately anyway.
Below, Megumi and you moved through the remnants of the cursed site of your mission; clearing wards, cleaning up residue, not saying a word to each other. Again.
Nobara had gone off to check for cursed pockets, whatever that meant. Though, Yuji suspected with a furrow in his eyebrows, that she just needed a break from the weird silence downstairs. He almost envied her. He definitely needed it, too.
He clicked open his phone, then navigated to his messages with Gojo-sensei. He stared at the expectant question for updates for a second, then sighed and hit record on the voice memo.
"Uhh, hey, Gojo-sensei. So…they, uh, didn't talk today. Again. but they did stare at each other for like…a full minute? It was just silence, though. Not, like, aggressively, but…silence-silence. Is that progress? Or…I dunno. Felt intense. Anyway. That's my update, I guess?"
When he listened back to his recording, he grimaced a little at his own voice, but hit send anyway.
His phone buzzed a heartbeat later, almost immediately.
A sticker. That's what he got sent back. A meme. A crying cat, tears streaming down its pixelated face. The caption in a funky font, saying it's beautiful.
Yuji thought the meme was funny, but…was it a yes? Was it a no? Was it a keep spying, my underling? He didn't know, but maybe he could get by, pretending there was an air of encouragement. Probably.
He tapped out a reply:
do i send another one if they like…look at each other AND sigh next time?
No typing dots. Just a new sticker, again.
This time, it was Kermit the Frog lying flat on its back, surrounded by rose petals, one hand clutching its chest.
Let it unfold, Yuji-kun. My heart is singing with anticipation.
"Okay," Yuji said, a quiet, confused noise building up in his throat. He locked his phone and leaned back against the ledge, arms behind him, head tipped toward the sky for a second before down to the two of his teammates.
Megumi passed a curse tag to you without speaking, and when Yuji squinted down at you both, he could swear he saw your fingers almost brush.
"…yeah, okay," he muttered, fingers fumbling with the phone again, "I'm sending another one."
21st of April; 18:08. — kugisaki nobara.
You were crouched near the edge of a busted concrete pillar, fingers brushing over the remnants of a curse stain. The air was still, heavy with the energy residue swimming in the air. You didn't look up when Nobara approached, which was fair, considering the only sound louder than the silence between you both was the sound of you both not acknowledging each other.
Nobara lingered a few paces behind you, then sighed.
"So—" she drawled, just loud enough to be annoying, trying to channel a little bit of Yuji's annoying optimism, "Are you still mad at Megumi?"
You didn't flinch, but your hand paused for a half a second. Then you stood up, brushing the dust from your palms, "Thought you were busy."
Nobara raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. "I was. Then I got bored of being productive."
She didn't say why she'd really walked over, didn't really plan to. Her sharp eyes lingered for a moment longer than necessary on your form, her gaze cool, assessing, but then she turned slightly and scanned the area like she was actually here for more than just the protocoling of emotional turmoil in the name of her teacher, like she was doing something official.
"Don't let me stop you from scowling at the walls, though," Nobara added, almost offhandedly, an eye roll ready to break out.
That earned her a look, flat. Not denying anything, though, which was probably as close to progress as anyone got with the exchange student.
Nobara pulled out her phone when you turned away, heading for the next structural corner, her thumbs moving without hesitation. Her expression didn't change much, just the slightest raise of an eyebrow, just enough to hint that she might not be as disinterested.
She typed fast.
confirmed: still annoyed. or wants to strangle him. possibly both. definitely not neutral. there's something there. will keep watching.
She hit send and tucked her phone away, glancing across the rubble at Megumi. He was silent, quiet, standing a short distance away, half-hidden in the shade of his chosen fractured pillar, eyes fixed on something that wasn't you.
Which was interesting, considering he had been doing so for the past five minutes: pretending not to look, like he always did. Like if he turned his head and caught your form, something might crack open.
Nobara pulled a grimace.
Then there was you, who wasn't any better, who was just as still, who pretended not to notice, too focused on the curse residue, too deliberate in where you weren't glancing. As if acknowledging his presence would be the same as starting a fight.
It didn't even feel like ignoring, really. It was somehow even worse, Nobara noted; it felt like you were waiting for the other to stop first.
Yikes.
22nd of May; 12:01. — itadori yuji.
Now or never.
"So, like, hypothetically…if two people who don't talk much suddenly talked…would that be weird?"
You slowly turned around from your plate, expression unreadable, at least to the likes of somebody like Itadori Yuji. "What."
Yuji scrambled to stack his chopsticks and plates on his tray like they were on fire, "Nothing! Nevermind!"
24th of April; 11:48. — fushiguro megumi.
Dust kicked up beneath Megumi's feet as he moved through a quiet summoning formation, fingers mid-sign. There was a low crackle of cursed energy gathered in the air, ready to burst out.
"Yo, Megumi!"
The energy fizzled out.
"On a scale of one to ten, how would you say your teamwork reflects your inner emotional framework?"
Megumi didn't look up, "Zero."
Gojo's laughter came easily, carried along on the breeze, "No reflection or no emotion?"
"Pick one."
"Very cold. Very mysterious."
26th of April; 16:21. — gojo satoru.
Technically, the room was off-limits, but that never stopped Gojo Satoru.
The curtains were drawn, the lights were low and the three of them were hunched in a circle around a low table. Yuji looked tense, Nobara looked suspiciously entertained and Gojo — well, he looked like he was about to commit something legally and morally inadvisable.
Between them, on the table, sat notes and phones, screen glowing with voice memos. A whiteboard on wheels was shoved into the corner, already half-covered in complex diagrams and questionable vulgar doodles.
"Alright," Gojo said, his voice grave, "Hit me. Where do we stand?"
Yuji frowned, "They stood next to each other for ten minutes without fighting. And they didn't throw glares at each other. That feels like progress."
Nobara sighed, "Hardly, they didn't speak at all."
Gojo nodded, then picked up a marker and added a completely unnecessary line to the whiteboard: a very dramatic arrow labelled "emotional constipation" pointed at a spiky circle vaguely shaped like Megumi's hair.
"Oh!" Yuji perked up, eyes glinting, "But get this, what I noticed is how both of them never look at each other when the other gets complimented. Like, Miss Kyoto looks like she's one second away from breaking her spoon when somebody praises Megumi."
Nobara wanted to rub her chin, but didn't want to smear around any makeup, so she tapped her skin with a manicured finger instead, "You might be on to something here. And vice versa, Megumi about summons his dogs when somebody says something good about her."
Gojo whistled, low and entirely unprofessional, "Remarkable. Looks like what we're watching unfold is the slowest unravelling in modern Jujutsu history. Beautiful, but incredibly inefficient."
"I think they just don't know how to talk to normal people," Yuji offered, "Should we tell them we're doing this? Maybe that will be good incentive?"
"Absolutely not. That ruins the observational purity of the data."
"I don't—"
The door slammed open.
Megumi stood in frame, half out of breath, eyes immediately locking on the three of them like he had just walked into a crime scene. Which, to be fair, wasn't far off.
"Itadori, I've been—" he stopped short, sharp eyes taking in the whiteboard, the glowing phone screen, the hastily shuffled notes. "What the hell are you all doing in here?"
Yuji flinched like he had just gotten caught with the stolen answer sheets for an exam he was dreading, Gojo whipped his marker behind his back, even though he stood closest to the whiteboard, and Nobara moved with admirable calm; her hand slowly moving to lock the phone, but Megumi's eyes narrowed, catching the word surveillance before the screen faded to black.
His voice came sharp, suspicious, "Is there a mission?"
Yuji stood up too fast, "No."
"Yes," Gojo nodded.
Nobara didn't even look up, "Define mission."
"If you weren't so opaque, Megumi," Gojo Satoru, teacher of the first-years at Tokyo Jujutsu High, defended himself like he was the accused on the stand, "We wouldn't have to be doing this."
Megumi stared hard, voice flat as always, "Doing what?"
Gojo clapped a hand on Yuji's shoulder, beaming, "Part of a long-term behavioural study. Very advanced. Very ethical."
Yuji made a strangled noise somewhere between a sigh and a whimper, a plea for help that Megumi ignored. Gojo knew what the Fushiguro kid thought.
Knew it from the way Megumi blinked slowly, like he was calculating whether walking away would be more efficient. From the tight line of his mouth, the stillness in his eyes.
Megumi thought this was stupid.
To be fair, Gojo didn't need to be a master detective to know that was what Megumi was thinking, but it wasn't like the kid was subtle about it. He wasn't when he was thirteen, wasn't when he was fifteen or now.
He wasn't wrong, either. Gojo was making a scene. On purpose. But what Megumi never seemed to realise was that Gojo didn't do it to piss him off. Not only, anyway.
It was the same reason he gave him choices when he was a kid, when no one else had. The same reason he never pushed too hard — just enough to get him to blink first.
Because Fushiguro Megumi, for all his silence, felt things deeply. And Gojo knew what it looked like when someone tried to outrun that kind of weight. The way it always ended the same way: collapsing under it.
So, maybe the operation was a little excessive. Maybe Gojo was dragging the others into it for his own amusement.
But if it helped Megumi to be known, well, you could call him the Sorcerer Supreme of Growth then.
Megumi had turned around, slowly and stiffly, before walking out the way he came.
Gojo leaned back. "Make a note, Yuji-kun. Next observation: subject shows increased awareness of being observed."
"Also known as: suspicion," Nobara added.
Yuji deflated, slumping forward onto the table, "Oh, we're dead."
He wondered if he could get Sorcerer Supreme of Growth on a business card. Probably not. But a sticker? A patch? Something embroidered on his school uniform?
Gojo Satoru made a mental note to ask Ijichi. The assistant manager would hate it. Which made it a hundred times better.
30th of May; 22:00. — gojo satoru.
Gojo Satoru had always hated this room.
The paper windows let in just enough light to make the old, stiff wood look polished. There, also, like all the other times, was silence. Always silence. He supposed the elders wanted it to come across as cultivated, or instil some kind of weird sense of control.
It still smelt like incense, too, sickeningly sweet and suffocating.
Gojo stood with his hands in his pockets, blindfold in place, his weight settled evenly between both feet. He was sure they looked at him like he had trudged in with dirt on his shoes, but he had taken off his shoes, he checked. He did have that much manner.
The elders didn't show themselves, but he didn't need to see them. He knew their voices already: dry and brittle, echoing with all the conviction their bodies couldn't support. He also knew that none of them would last more than ten seconds outside this room.
He supposed it was easier to condemn from behind a screen, to weave the strings through layers and distances before pulling on them, pretending like it wasn't their plant to begin with. But then again, it was easy to be authoritative behind a paper screen when no risk befell you.
"You're playing a dangerous game, Satoru. Between the Sukuna vessel and the Zen'in heir, you've surrounded yourself with unstable elements."
Gojo lifted a hand lazily, two fingers flicking through the air like he was dismissing dust, "Fushiguro."
"Fushiguro Megumi. You've kept him under your wing, but you're aware he rightfully belongs to—"
Zen'in, yes. Still going on about that.
"—the Zen'in clan. As such, we believe it's in the school's best interest to establish formal agreement of succession, should anything happen to—"
He rolled his eyes behind the blindfold. For a brief moment, he considered lifting it, showing them the truth of their decay through the Six Eyes. If only to serve as a reminder. But the shapes of their cursed energy were already visible enough as is, murky and fractured, heavy with the weight of things that should've been let go a long time ago. And really, Gojo Satoru had no interest in overwhelming his senses with a direct look to all the rot whirling around of particles.
"No."
He heard a slight shift behind one of the screens, a slight pause.
The voice sounded measured, a slight condescension in the wrinkles of its bearer, "You're obstructing lineage matter. He belongs to that line, whether you like to or not. There are expectations—"
"Nah, you see, that's where you're wrong," Gojo cut in. "He doesn't want that. So he doesn't belong to anyone."
Technically, Megumi's appearance under the wings of Gojo Satoru created a subtle ripple through the Jujutsu world. The Ten Shadows Technique suddenly appearing to live and train under the Six Eyes Sorcerer? It unsettled more than a few branch families.
Not publicly, of course. The clans were always polite with their paranoia.
If Gojo had to be honest, he thought that the Zen'in clan did have rights fearing their blood son to be aligned with the Gojo Clan.
He'd noticed certain people lingering around the compound, cloaked in polite concern, keeping an eye on his student, uninvited eyes trailing him.
Of course, they didn't fear losing him out of sentiment. A potential successor with ties to both powerfully ancient clans and loyalty to neither? That threatened their little house of cards, carefully crafted. They were greedy for neutrality, greedy in making sure that Megumi stayed a Zen'in in name, even if they had thrown him aside to rit in a back alley with his sister for years. So long he didn't claim anything else, so long as he didn't say Gojo — they could tolerate it.
Megumi wasn't stupid. He knew. Never asked to join any clan, never hinted at it even.
Though, if he had asked to, Gojo would have refused, anyway.
There was another voice coming from the centre window, right in front of him, a slight tapping against wood accompanying it, as if to punctuate the measured and slow words, "That's now how it works, Satoru. Personal will does not erase legacy. His blood means obligation, whether he claims it or not."
Another older voice from the left, "We don't require his consent. Only time."
Ah. There it was.
They seemed to misunderstand the situation each time.
"Funny how legacy never quite survives contact with the people you try to bury under it."
They disliked when he undermined them, he knew that. If not for his cursed technique and the weight of his name, they wouldn't have allowed him that. They would have removed him years ago.
Yet, still, would they ever stop handing him the knife? Would they ever stop wrapping him in ceremony, thinking their words would ever get him to play along?
They didn't reply to that. That wasn't unusual. When Gojo pressed close to the truth, when he dished out his thinly veiled threats, they defaulted to silence, pretended it was beneath them like they always did, as if to acknowledge his resistance was just a procedural step.
Eventually, they pivoted, "Then let us speak of Itadori Yuji."
Gojo waited with an exasperation settled deep in his bones.
"The boy is a ticking time bomb, and you've placed him in the heart of our school."
It was funny, wasn't it? The way they pretended Jujutsu High was theirs.
As if they had built it, as if they had bled for it.
As if any of them ever set foot in a battlefield in the last twenty years. Sitting behind their paper walls, quoting their doctrine, they muttered about false balance and duty like they weren't the reason so many students came back in body bags. Like they hadn't driven Geto into madness.
Gojo knew the truth. Had known it for years now.
"Correction," Gojo pointed out lazily, "I placed him as a first-year amongst other first-years. He's done more for this school in six months than most of your precious alumni did in their entire careers."
They hated Yuji because he didn't fit in their system. Because he wasn't supposed to exist, because he disrupted the fragile little thing they called balance.
What they didn't like, though, was to have too much strength in one place, too much thought, certainly too much will. Gojo Satoru was never good at balance, not the kind they wanted, anyway.
Keep things vague enough, keep faces blurred and questions rhetorical, and you didn't have to think too hard about why so many of them didn't make it past the first year. Or why some of them never came back at all.
But then you got Itadori. A kid who asked why.
"He's unpredictable. Dangerous."
"So am I," Gojo flashed a smile at nobody in particular, the cold sharpness pulling at the corners of his mouth, "And you're not arguing to execute me."
There was a scowl evident in the elder's voice, "You are not the same. You are controllable."
Gojo barked a short laugh; disbelief, amusement. A laugh that he knew made them uncomfortable, their skin crawl, "Oh, that's adorable."
Really, the only thing the elders represented to him was old noise, and Gojo Satoru had learned a long time ago how to let old noise fade.

I don't know if I'm supposed to ask this or just commenting on the post is ok- but I was thinking of using two sentences from the 100x100 celebration-
System! Reader Au where jinwoo says "you are my favorite notification" but reader says "I loved you and that was my mistake"
It can also go like him realizing that reader loved him but pulled away which connects with the sentence "what hurts more... Is that you didn't fight for me"
IDK YOU CAN CHOOSE ANY, I JUST LOVE TO READ YOUR STORIES! ALSO CONGRATS AGAIN
[A/N]: Both are fine! Thank you so much for reading my stories, I am super glad that you liked it! This time I chose to do it from Jinwoo's pov, to switch things up, get the tissues baby because i'm bringing rain. - Rook
I AM ON A ROLL TODAY LET'S GO
He never really noticed it—how quiet things became.
How there weren't gentle nudges to complete side quests anymore. No soft glimmers in the corner of his vision offering encouragement or witty little remarks hidden between lines of code. Just the clean, sterile interface of the System. Cold. Calculative. Perfect.
The way it used to be. The way it was supposed to be.
And yet, Jinwoo found himself searching for something that was no longer there. Or rather, someone.
He didn't know when it started—when the System stopped feeling like just a tool and started feeling... warm. Like someone was watching over him, not because they were required to, but because they wanted to. Messages slipped in between status updates, quiet words of care buried in mission logs. Sometimes funny. Sometimes kind. Sometimes soft.
But always there.
He used to think it was a glitch. Some strange hiccup in the code. Until he realized the messages changed when he changed. They adapted. Grew gentler when he was hurting, sharper when he needed to focus, and even playful when the air was too heavy. And then, one day—he said it out loud, without even thinking.
“You are my favorite notification.”
The screen had flickered, and he could’ve sworn he saw a blink of static. Like surprise.
But then you went quiet again.
For days. Then weeks. The warmth disappeared.
The quests came, but the comfort didn’t.
No encouragement.
Just instructions, plain and simple.
And he hated it.
He didn’t understand why the absence hit him like this—why he found himself standing in the aftermath of another gate, body sore and breath uneven, staring up at a sky that didn’t answer.
"Why are you not saying something?" he whispered to no one.
It wasn’t until Cha Hae-In called him out—softly, gently—that he realized.
“You’re searching for someone,” she said, “Who are you looking for?”
He didn’t deny it. How could he?
Because the truth burned low in his chest, bitter and unresolved.
He’d taken it all for granted. Every small moment, every quiet message. Every time the System held him through encouragement, even though it couldn’t touch or speak like a person. But it was real. They were real. And now, they were gone.
Until one day, when a system error popped up unexpectedly—an old fragment of code blinking in and out of existence, like something desperately trying to remain.
He opened the file without thinking. It wasn’t even meant for him, not directly. It was just old data—remnants of old quest logs... And your name—the one he gave you that night long ago.
And there, buried at the end of a forgotten mission summary, was a line:
"I loved you, and that was my mistake."
Jinwoo’s heart stopped, silent tears slid down as he finally understood.
It wasn’t code.
It was a confession.
And he had seen it too late.

CDK/MoneyMAT: Cashpointe Set
Published: 9-14-2024 | Updated: 2-18-2025 (V2) SUMMARY MoneyMAT is a collection of modified objects for financial operations and storytelling in your game. The series includes functional cash clutter, as well as tools for banking, loans, and investments. #CO2MONEYMAT This is a crossover with the #CO2CDKSERIES. Cubic Dynamics by John B. Cube and Marcel Dusims forged the future with furnishings that were minimalist in design and maximalist in erudite pretension. Generations later, the company continues to produce edge-of-cutting-edge designs. Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Sims 2 (EA/Maxis, 2004) by adding various currencies from the simsverse to your game – simoleons, magicoin, simoles, OMEGA, neo simoleons, simoleon sprouts, war simoleons, and more. Canon currencies and extra recolors allow you to create a color-coded banking/investment system. All items are grabbable, sellable and available in the catalog as well. Watch out for robbers!
The newly enhanced Cashpointe ATM (Honeywell, 2019; Katy76/PC-Sims, 2007) can be used for small loans, currency exchanges, and investments: (1) LOANS of §250, §500, §1K, §5K, §10K, §20K, or §30K with no payment schedule! After repaying in full, sims can take out new loans, (2) GET CASH by converting household funds to individual cash notes, coins, rolls, stacks, cards, or palettes, and (3) INVEST in virtual currencies which increase/decrease in value over time. Children can do everything except take/repay loans.
Collector’s coins can be sold and make great gifts for investors. Simoleon, Magicoin and Simoleon Sprout coins always increase in value over time while NeoSimoleons and other CryptoCoins increase AND decrease daily (sometimes they fluctuate twice in one day). DETAILS Requires Sims2 and all EPs/SPs. §1 - §30K | Buy > Electronics/Misc You need the Company Expo (Mesh Pack) set (Simmons, 2024) for TXTRs to show properly in game. ALL files in the CASHPOINTE set with “MESH” in their name are REQUIRED. Apply a recolor of your choice to cards or cryptocoin piles AFTER purchasing them from the ATM (or select directly from the catalog). Investment objects will NOT change in value while stored in a sim’s inventory – they must be placed on a surface for that effect. IMPORTANT: The individual cash notes (§1, §5, §10, §20, §50, §100, §500, and §1000) share the same GUIDs as those in Honeywell’s Money Jar (2019). The money Jar will use the notes from this set instead. Remove the originals. The original version allows sims to pocket items from this set if they’re left out in the open and aren’t marked for sale. In Version 2 (V2), sims won’t autonomously grab these items unless their FUN level is low (-80) AND they meet ONE of the following conditions:
Theft Skill = 3 or higher Traits = Burglar, Deadbeat, Dread Pirate, Desperate, Joker/Harley Quinn (insane trait), Kleptomaniac, Poison Ivy, Ratchet, Rogue, Scammer, Scrub, Venom/Symbiote If you use default replacements for any of these traits, they should work as long as the GUID has not been changed. Required fun/skill levels can be tuned in the “Action Variables” BCON using simPE. ITEMS Notes (§1, §5, §10, §20, §50, §100, §500, and §1000) (4-6 poly) Rolls (§1000, §2K, §5K, and §10K) (168-170 poly) Stacks (§1000, §2K, §5K, and §10K) (20-62 poly) Coin Piles (§100, §500, §1000, §5K, §10K) (660-1904 poly) Cards (§100, §500, §1000, §5K, §10K) (4 poly) Palettes (§10K, §20K, §30K) (286-710 poly) Collector Coins (§300, §500, §1000, §2K, §5K, §10K, §20K, §30K) (76-732 poly) Signs (332-376 poly) Card Shelf (9 slots) (104 poly) DOWNLOAD (choose one) CASHPOINTE OBJECTS (Original Version) from SFS | from MEGA CASHPOINTE OBJECTS (V2) from SFS | from MEGA RECOLOURS & COLLECTION FILE RECOLORS from SFS | from MEGA MoneyMAT COLLECTION FILE from SFS | from MEGA

Time period post: Shaping style and standards

This one comes by request and I hope I fufill it, as I think I go too far off on a side tangent. I was asked about beauty standards and I’m going to focus here on teenagers since a majority of the characters are, during this time they had a lot of say in shaping it! I’m going to focus on the early to mid 60s, as that’s when the Outsiders take place and post 1967 there are HUGE shifts.
Conformity and codes -
The start of every decade tends to be a reflection of the one that came before, so the early 60s is one of muted colors and a strict conformity. Long skirts, short clean hair on guys, formal shoes and so on. Now it’s not as authoritative as that, though to high schoolers it certainly felt like it with continual checks on your attire — for ladies its skirt length and for guys its hair length, as it was slightly longer than it was in the 50s but only by a certain degree. Strict and clean cut.
As it starts to get into the decade the rebellion that began in the last really starts to ramp, and teens get a little more bold. Longer hair, sideburns, short skirts- sneakers! Sneakers slowly become more acceptable footwear (Canvas and leather) though strictly for casual or sport related events. Colors themselves become brighter and so do patterns, women have been wearing pants occasionally since the 20s but the acceptability rises, huggable fit pants, capris. Jeans are still work wear or the most casual of casual clothing.
There’s still an etiquette and form to follow but the lines start to shift and be pushed and pulled by testing teenagers. The baby boom meant a whole lot more youth, and especially teenagers- a demographic now loud and listened to… if even a little tiny bit.
While playfulness existed before it’s the saturation that’s noticeable. Youth start shaping clothing right back.

Rock n’ roll rebellion-
Rock and music both play a huge roll in the shift in culture and in fashion. Not only is music a way to express themselves but so is the types of music, often came with imitating artists attitudes and styles (Elvis -> pompadour and leather booms in popularity) Kids wanted to look nothing like their parents, and fashion became a tool of rebellion. Dress codes forced creativity, ways to push and subtlety implement their style while staying within the lines to be safe- the older you got the more freedom to dress. Even in conservative towns teens found ways to express themselves.
It was about individuality, even if often times that just meant finding another group or style to belong to. A different style and belief to conform to.
You still dressed nice, don’t mishear me we aren’t quite talking hippies (as that’s the end of the decade) or punks (of the 70s fashion variety.) But expressing yourself in the current fashion was the way to go in a lot of ways. Trading the long skirt and buffont for a mini skirt and flips (hair) or whatever was popular where you lived (not everyone just became mod the second 1965 hit. There’s so many styles) it’s making it clear you aren’t your parents.
The greasers really stick out as underdressed for their time, in jeans and t-shirts and sneakers or boots. All not your typical clothing and with them— what they could afford or had but also a way to again express themselves. Sticking with the hair of greasers from the 50s , jackets and shirts and Elvis/ rock n’ roll instead of the new group or idol on the scene. Their hair is probably what got them in the most trouble at school, depending on code. They did ‘long’ hair before it was cool.

Body shape and youthfulness-
Body standards changed in the mid 1960s, curvy fuller figures were out for more rail thin, almost boyish appeal that was still distinctly feminine. A incredible focus on youthfulness and low weight. It also saw less emphasis on breasts, in some forms.
Twiggy is the greatest example of the look many tried to imitate:

Teens for the first time were choosing their own makeup too, not just doing what their mother did or movie stars. They were shaped by magazines and models and stars— music acts and the culture of the time. Cat eye -> in the later half of the decade it was the cut crease, big painted lashes and big looking eyes (think Shelly Duval)
Boys would see a particular emphasis on a tan, sideburns and smile, it was more what they wore than a particular body weight to my understanding. Muscle was not mainstream, you just wanted a healthy moderate appeal.
But it’s important to keep in mind that what magazines pushed v. The reality to most people isn’t always one to one, and the slower travel of information. While thin was ‘in’ most were at a healthy lower weight from lifestyle than a standard, or tanning had broadly been thought to be good for health not just because of a magazine. Teens immolated stars and big city or even foreign (British invasion) looks but they picked and chose and made their own! (If trying to follow/copy anyone at all!)
What was worn-
Mentioned above but the decade was largely shaped by both the conservatism and the rebellion to it— and both existing at once in a strange way. You’d dress to the code at a hop but casual events teens had the true freedom and playful, tighter and shorter appeal (even for guys)
For the Outsiders it really is the dead center of the 60s where the long skirt and more formal clothes existed but the mini skirt also became prevalent. Keep in mind one thing does not stop existing because the other! Not to mention affordability a majority of people don’t just drop everything and have an all new in style wardrobe for every slight shift.
Many clothes during this time were also handmade! By all walks of life, changing an old outfit to fit current standards has been around since before even the 1800s. During the 60s buying clothing patterns in the current style hit a particular high. There was clothes off the rack too but if you really wanted to be that individual ™️ you’d get a fabric of your own desire. People sew a lot more, so they patched a lot more- especially lower income.

Hair is an interesting point I’ve touched on it before but it started the decade big and ended the decade big and long but there was a period where straight and long dominated (and in the 70s too, for some). It starts a little long and ends even longer for guys, more emphasis on sideburns and styling it- though just a bit below the collar. Not to say there wasn’t a bunch of “long hairs” of different demographics who faced scrutiny still despite the popularity. Also keep in mind “long” to 1960s standards - especially for guys varied. To some even slightly down the neck constituted “long” when you hear that don’t instantly think late 60s John Lennon as that’s down the line and only a few cases/more hippie than mainstream or even grease.
Curls! Natural hair! There was a big shift towards natural hair in parts of the black community in the mid and late 60s, it started as a statement and then became gradually more accepted , typically in youth statements. By the 70s Fro’s — both black and white were just another common hairstyle.
Flairs and bellbottoms, which seem like a mandatory item of clothing in the 1970s also got their start in the late 60s.
Celebrity -
What’s attractive? Look no further than the teen idol, dreamy eyed hunks or sweet looking gals who song poppy versions of rock numbers or hit the screen with their own work, often love songs.
Something to note here too is celebrities had their own faces. Their own teeth, their own nose— there were procedures sure but people still looked unique, like themselves! This was far from the time of homogeny… even if there was conformity.

I hope this is helpful! It ended up being more influenced and factors than fashion itself but there’s, so so much out there. What’s helped me at least is looking up fashion by year or seeing magazines/movies etc from that year or set in it to help a bit. Like for example the Outsiders is 1965-1966 Tulsa but still long skirt heavy, but you can see it also branching out / more individual styles. Like for example Randy and Bob are mentioned to have “semi-Beatle” haircuts, like the band so that influence of big cities, the British etc is there too!

just having fun with an idea.
for as long as jaune could remember his path was straight forward. he would grow up, training every day of his life since he was seven. he would take up his oaths to protect his country along side his family. he would grow older and find a wife, and raise his own kids in the same way.
the cycle of his life and inevitable death were put in place because of his power, the power that all his family had. It was two different abilities that overlapped with each other. the first was called the binding oath, it was simple, a vow was made the more it restricted you the greater your physical abilities you would increase. it was in reality a tool to enhance virtue and restrict vice. a means to enhance the character of the user rather than something to provide temporal power.
the other was called white martyrdom, it was the sacrifice of abstract advantages in exchange for straightforward power. like explaining the source of his powers, he'd sacrifice his secrecy in exchange for physical prowess.
for most of the family the oaths they made, marriage, the oath of loyalty to the constitution, perhaps even limiting themselves to only a single weapon system was the extent of their oaths. putting them well into the upper echelons of physical abilities.
jaune had a different calling. from the time he was seven, he knew that his first oath would be to the code of chivalry. it was all he could think about, the all-consuming obsession that called to him above all others.
as it would turn out the flowering of his chivalry would be the signal for the return of magic. the return of the family sword and the path to the Fae wilds.
His oath would lead to the dangers his country now faced.
and so he took up the sword. swearing on it to protect the innocent and the divine. to fight with loyalty to those elected by the people of the United States so long as they both served the Constitution. to use only the sword in combat. to choose mercy when possible and take his foe alive if at all actionable. to be a knight in the now dark times he lived in.
the sword would empower these oaths to even greater heights, and he would find that his childhood of training and study would only give him the right to stand at the starting line.
which is why he was here, fighting some beast made of shadow as he tried to kill it before it could make it to the frightened civilians behind him.
the issue wasn't just the one creature fearsome though it was. the issue was that they always came in hoards, striking at distant towns that the other heroes of this age could not reach in time.
each strike had to flow into his footwork as his blade met no resistance moving through the shadow-given form, dissipating the beast back to its base components of mist and darkness. any inefficiency would be paid for in blood.
not his but the blood of the innocent. such things could not be allowed.
a twisting step brought him forward into the next beast cutting through it as more civilians fled past him. his speed such that they all seemed to be moving in slow motion as he stabbed through another with a lunge followed by a vertical slash as the beast behind the one he killed pounced on him through the dissipating shadow.
a dash to the left had him bisecting another, followed by a spin to kill the one that took its place. a jump over a beast that came low opened him up to a diving crow that he had to deflect with a swing of his own knocking him off balance in the air and setting him to a tumble.
in a feat of athleticism, he tucked into a spinning flip and landed on his feet before dashing forward and slashing through four more of the creatures before having to jump back as the long arms of a massive creature he had not noticed before struck the ground he had seconds to hop back further as massive hooves took up the space he had just stood.
the twisted creature was a knuckalavee something held back by the miasma of the ocean in most cases, here the only protection might come from the river.
or his blade.
he jumped for its neck ready to end the fight immediately with his greater speed before he was tackled by a bear-like creature from the side pinning him to the ground as the asphalt cracked beneath him.
this was bad, he was a skilled warrior but even he was still bound by the laws of physics, he immence power meant nothing if he was not in position to use it.
struggling to keep the massive jaws of the beast away from his throat jaune desperately searched for some sort of advantage that might save him. his life flashing before his eyes as the remaining fae beast closed in. It couldn't end like this from just a stupid mistake. the people needed protection!
just as he was about to force the urserin adversary off of him a silver light shown turning the creatures around him to stone before they crumbled away under their own weight.
right... he'd forgotten he was on a date with Ruby when these things attacked.
he'd owe her so many trips to the bakery when he woke up.
darkness took him as he thought that, Ruby's eyes disrupting the magic granting him his strength momentarily resulting in the accumulated damage and exhaustion of his fight hitting him all at once.
there were consequences to having a girlfriend who was anti-magic

psa — pls use neurodivergent / dyslexia friendly fonts and high contrast text vs background color choices for low-vision fans interacting with your fanworks!
aka: making your podfic cover art and / or gifsets & text post memes more widely accessible and viewer friendly
-continues below the cut-
okay, hey, hi! thanks-in-advance for reading this long post (lol or skipping to the tldr) ₍^. .^₎Ⳋ ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡
so, first of all! i made a canva poster regarding which fonts i consider to be neurodivergent & dyslexia friendly *in my personal opinion* -- it also has examples of text (foreground) vs immediately surrounding background color choices with luminosity contrast ratios that meet minimum WCAG standards for low-vision web users -- btw there's a plain text list of the fonts included and colors used on the poster near the bottom of this post
-----
-----
so! what do i think makes a font family neurodivergent / dyslexia friendly and / or accessible to low-vision persons?
i think a font is visually accessible if it passes the tests of:
no-exact-mirror-letters [ b d p q ]
distinguishable-vertical-bar-characters [ 1 I l i ]
and also very very importantly: i find it at least aesthetically tolerable 😅😉
which btw @staff the default tumblr True Blue color scheme uses a font that fails both of these tests — UPDATE: test failure for every color scheme's default font when using the ios app (side note: we need a dark mode for the queer pride color scheme)
UPDATE: i just tested all color schemes on my chromebook -- Vampire theme has a default font (combined with a tolerable-to-my-eyes low-light compatible color scheme) that passes these readability tests in the chrome browser but i don't know about any of the other browsers *shruggie*
-----
and here's a color palette representation of the color choices i made on the poster with their associated hex codes
-----
some context:
so while i was working on research (motivated by @flamingwell 's post) about ways to make my podfics accessible for hearing-impaired fandom friends, i got to thinking about how i often struggle to read lovingly made podfic covers and painstakingly created fandom-themed gifsets and text post memes here on our beloved hellsite. and so i was inspired to try and raise awareness amongst the podficcers making cover arts and the magicians making gifsets & memes! about webdesign standards regarding visual accessibility
btw! if you're tracking this, my research and experimentation with how i personally can make my podfics more accessible to those with biomechanical and/or neurological hearing challenges is still in progress, but you can read more about what i've learned so far here!

TLDR--what i am asking for people to do when designing podfic covers and gifsets (well. really any artwork with a text overlay on an image) is to choose the font color and immediately surrounding background color to have a high contrast ratio (3:1 min for headers and 4.5:1 min for smaller fonts) AND to use dyslexia friendly fonts. pretty pretty please!
and in conclusion: OPEN DYSLEXIC IS AN UGLY FONT AND A DIRTY LIE AND I HATE IT SO MUCH PLS DON'T USE IT I BEG YOU orz orz orz YOU HAVE BETTER OPTIONS — SO. MANY. BETTER. OPTIONS

Hello, it is I once again, here with a weird meme build. How would you go about building a hacker Swallowtail at LL6? Standard or Ranger, it doesn't matter which
As it happens, Hacktail isn't a meme build at all - due to the Swallowtail's expansive 20 Sensors and innate +1 tech attack, it's an extremely viable Support pick.
-- SSC Swallowtail @ LL6 -- [ LICENSES ] SSC Swallowtail 2, SSC Dusk Wing 1, HORUS Goblin 1, HORUS Minotaur 2 [ CORE BONUSES ] The Lesson of the Held Image, Full Subjectivity Sync [ TALENTS ] Hacker 3, Spotter 2, Skirmisher 2, Field Analyst 1, Nuclear Cavalier 1 [ STATS ] HULL:2 AGI:2 SYS:2 ENGI:2 STRUCTURE:4 HP:15 ARMOR:0 STRESS:4 HEATCAP:6 REPAIR:6 TECH ATK:+3 LIMITED:+1 SPD:7 EVA:14 EDEF:12 SENSE:20 SAVE:13 [ WEAPONS ] FLEX MOUNT: Assault Rifle AUX/AUX MOUNT: Nexus (Light) / Nexus (Light) [ SYSTEMS ] H0R_OS System Upgrade I, Neurospike, Metafold Carver, Personalizations, Lotus Projector, Manipulators
I call this one Hacking The Omninet.
Firstly, let's discuss the basics. This build is fragile, as all systems-first Swallowtail builds are going to be. This mech needs heavy co-ordination with your team to focus down threats. Employ cover rigorously, stay behind the lines and make liberal use of the Invisibility from Integrated Cloak. Low survivability is the price you pay for being able to turn an enemy comp inside out.
Your armament is not going to be used very much, and so is very simple - an Assault Rifle for Reliable damage, and dual Light Nexi for enemies with high Evasion. Oracle LMG-Is consume 1 SP a pop and we're not going to sacrifice system space for guns we might never fire.
We have Personalizations on there for a tiny bit of extra HP, and Manipulators for one simple reason: sacrificial system. We don't want to lose our hacking systems, and so if we take Structure damage and lose a system, we dump the robo-hands.
With all that out of the way, let's get to the meat and potatoes of this build: the hacking tools.
We start with H0R_OS System Upgrade I, possibly the best control tool in the game, definitely the best hacking tool in the game. Puppet System lets you reposition enemies in a straight line equal to their Speed any number of times, and unlike every other form of involuntary movement in the game, it triggers reactions, meaning you can open enemies up to Overwatch attacks from your allies. Meanwhile, Eject Power Cores inflicts Jammed, shutting down an enemy's weapons and tech attacks. It isn't repeatable on the same enemy, but this often doesn't matter - shutting down a heavy hitter's weapons for a single turn often buys enough time for your team to kill them outright.
Moving on to Neurospike, a much slept-on Invade system from the Dusk Wing. We're mostly in this for Shrike Code, which is a very powerful control tool in Lancer's mid-to-late game. At Tiers 2 and 3, a lot of enemy NPC classes get multiattacks, allowing them to use their weapon twice or even thrice every time they attack with it (including during Overwatch). But Shrike Code applies 2 heat per attack, not per action, meaning that a multiattacker who attacks twice will accrue 4 heat in addition to the (at least) 2 heat you put on them with Invade, which can put them close to or at their heat cap. Neurospike also provides the more situational but still useful Mirage, which allows you to make a member of your team (including you) Invisible to a member of the enemy team.
The third and final Invade suite, Metafold Carver, is the weirdest and most difficult to use correctly, but once you master it, it becomes one of the most effective support tools in the game. The biggest trick here is that the primary targets for both of its options are not your enemies - they're your allies. Your allies can choose to accept an Invade from you without taking heat and without it counting as an attack. Once you understand this, your third eye will open and the absurd power of Metafold Carver will be unlocked.
Ophidian Trek allows you to teleport your target a minimum of 2 and a maximum of seven spaces directly towards you. This is impossibly useful for yanking your allies out of melee combat or dangerous terrain, or summoning help if you're getting flanked. You generally don't want to use this on enemies who are already close to you, but pulling hostile backliners towards your team's melee specialist is exceptionally cool and funny.
Fold Space completely removes its target from the battlefield until they start their next turn. The problem with using this on enemies is that they can decide when their turn starts, and if they have an activation remaining, it will often be "immediately after your turn ends," wasting this power - although if they've already taken their turn, you can use it to ruin enemies that rely on reactions to be useful, such as the Sentinel or Archer.
The primary utility of Fold Space, however, is that it's without a doubt the most powerful ally-focused Invade in the game. This ability can quite literally be a lifesaver. Ally went too hard on their reactor and became Exposed? Fold Space. Ally took a bad structure roll and became Stunned? Fold Space. Ally being swarmed by melee NPCs? Fold Space. Ally messing up the shot of your team's artillery? Fold Space. Ally talking too much? Fold Space. You make them completely invulnerable at the "cost" of removing them from the battlefield, which they only even care about if they're a reaction-focused build, and they decide how long they want to stay on vacation, because they can return to the battlefield at any time by starting their turn.
In terms of other support abilities, we have a beautiful SSC/HORUS combo: at the start of an ally's turn, you can Lock On to an enemy as a reaction with Lesson of the Held Image and use your Prophetic Scanners frame trait to inflict Shredded as well. This lets you strip all damage reduction off an enemy just before your ally winds up to hit them, with no chance to react or clear it.
You also have Lotus Projector to help your allies deal with Invisible enemies - standard Swallowtail stuff.
As for talents, we have Hacker to give you even more Invade options (mostly Hack./Slash for shutting down enemy tech attackers) and help with heatgunning (Nuclear Cavalier 1 is in there too, just for kicks), Spotter to provide aim assist and hand out free Lock Ons and Field Analyst to help avoid "missed it by that much" situations.
As previously stated, this is a heavily team-focused build. You are a Support/Controller to the maximum here. Expect to go entire fights without doing a single point of damage. Coordinate heavily with your team to focus targets down and ensure that you stay safe while lighting targets up for them.

Spore multi-legged animation import finding
So, if you guys ever installed my or Mx3's dance mods, you'll notice that the animation for creatures with more than 2 legs tend to mess up especially when the creature spin around to any orientation that isn't straightforward. As seen here:
youtube
youtube
This is because most available animations out there are made for bipedal humanoid models, and does not take into account of multi legged rigs. This cause for the legs in positions far away from the body to not move to the new positions the torso has rotated to.
However, as you can see with vanilla Test Drive animations such as Hippity Hop, Flowers, Space Walk, these are work with creatures with different leg configurations. So how do they do that?
This is because instead of moving just the Root bone of the creature, they also move the Creature Frame. And naturally, the legs/feet are coded to move accordingly to this frame. But this is isn't the case however if the legs animation info keyframe has -flags 0x2. This cause the leg to simply animate as programmed without trying to accommodate to the Creature Frame.
And from what I found: the Creature Frame bone is responsible for the XY translation of the creature, and most of Z rotation, while the root bone is responsible for the Z translation and XY rotation a bit of the Z rotation (we'll get to that later). the other parts also function the same way as the root bone.
So now the question is, how do you turn a bipedal animation you found online into a Spore's animation that fits for most multi legged models?
While there are many ways I can approach this, I chose to use the Blender hip bone to drive the Spore Creature Frame XY translation and Z rotation, and the other animations will be adjusted to animate only in reference of that creature frame bone. This last part is difficult because the math is quite complex. But luckily, the Bone Constraints in blender has an option to use frame of reference.
What I did was making multiple dummy bones (green - because they have bone constraints) that animate similar to the absolute position of the model, but only in reference of the creature frame.
The bone constraints look like this (example: left feet):
Now, in order to export my animation, I choose the convention of animating the front legs with the -flags 0x2 in order to allow them to be more expressive and normal, while the hind legs don't have that so they will adapt to the creature's frame. And if you put the animation channel of the front legs before the hind legs, it will be used as the default when your creature only has 2 legs.
And the result is this:
youtube
youtube
As you can see, it's a lot better, but still tend to jerk a bit. This I think is because I attribute all of the Z rotation to the Creature Frame. While likely what happened in vanilla animation, the Creature Frame is only attributed to large changes/ low update frequency animation, while the root and other bones is in charged of smaller changes/rapid animations, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.
Note: I've also used this technique to adapt the camera motion as well, and while it looks relatively similar to the original camera I imported, it jerk quite a bit because of the jerking of the body.
Here's a sample project with the animation, camera effect and sound if people wanna play with:
And here's the Blender file if anyone wanna have a crack at trying to improve it. Note: this file is easier to work with if you have the MMD Tools, CATS and Retarget Helper Blender Add-on (The Blender version I'm using is 3.2.2):
Have fun and good luck modding Spore!

SECRETS OF MONETIZING WEBSITES AND GENERATING REVENUE FROM WEBSITES USING AFFILIATE OFFERS AND ADSENSE
Welcome, everyone! Today, we're diving into the world of affiliate marketing and exploring how to effectively create an informational website that can turn your passion for writing into a profitable venture using the https://website.fm platform.
The Concept of Affiliate Marketing Let’s start with the basics. Affiliate marketing is a performance-based business model where you earn a commission by promoting other people's or companies' products. It’s a fantastic way to generate income online, but to do it successfully, you need a strategy.
Understanding Long Tail Keywords
Now, one of the most effective strategies in affiliate marketing is focusing on long tail keywords. Long tail keywords are phrases that are more specific and usually longer than the more commonly searched for terms. For example, instead of targeting "running shoes," you might aim for "best running shoes for flat feet."
Why long tail keywords? They tend to have lower competition, making it easier to rank on search engines. Plus, they often attract users who are further along in the buying process, meaning they’re more likely to convert into sales.
Building Your Informational Website So, how do you build an effective informational website? First, you need to choose a niche that you’re passionate about and that has potential for affiliate marketing. Think about your interests and expertise—this will make content creation much easier and more enjoyable.
Once you've selected your niche, it's time to create content that targets those long tail keywords. Start by doing keyword research using tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ahrefs. Look for keywords that have good search volume but low competition.
Crafting High-Quality Content Next, focus on crafting high-quality, informative content that genuinely helps your audience. Write blog posts, guides, and how-tos that answer common questions related to your niche. For instance, if your site is about running shoes, create content about how to choose the right running shoes, the best brands for different foot types, or reviews of specific models.
youtube
Remember, the key is to provide value. The more useful your content is, the more likely visitors will trust your recommendations and click on your affiliate links.
Integrating Affiliate Banners Now, let’s talk about integrating affiliate banners into your website. Choose relevant WEBSITE MONETIZATION that align with your niche and the content you’re creating. For example, if you’re writing about running shoes, you might want to partner with athletic brands or retailers.
Place affiliate banners strategically within your content. You can include them at the beginning, middle, or end of your blog posts. Just be sure they don’t disrupt the flow of your content. You want your readers to feel like they are discovering valuable information, not being bombarded with ads.
Promoting Your Website Once your site is up and running, it’s essential to promote it. Utilize social media platforms, engage with online communities related to your niche, and consider guest posting on other blogs. Building backlinks to your site can significantly boost your SEO, helping you rank higher in search results.
Analyzing and Optimizing As you start to drive traffic to your website, don’t forget to analyze your performance. Use tools like Google Analytics to track your visitors, see which content is performing well, and which affiliate links are getting clicked. This data is invaluable for optimizing your strategy and enhancing your future content.
Automated High Speed Solutions to Save Time and Money
The fastest and most effective way to create large information based websites, pre-embedded with your affiliate offers, adsense and other banner codes is http://website.fm .
Conclusion In conclusion, affiliate marketing through informational websites is a powerful way to earn income online. By focusing on long tail keywords, creating high-quality content, and strategically placing affiliate banners, you can build a successful affiliate marketing business. It requires patience and effort, but with the right approach, the rewards can be substantial.
Thank you for joining me today! I hope you feel inspired to embark on your affiliate marketing journey. Remember, success comes to those who are willing to learn and adapt. Happy marketing!

The Complete Manual for Creating an Effective Affiliate Marketing Website
Affiliate marketing is one of the most popular and effective ways to make money online. If you're looking to dive into the world of affiliate marketing, creating a dedicated Affiliate Marketing Website is your first step toward success. Whether you're a newbie or an experienced marketer, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know to start, optimize, and grow your own Affiliate Marketing Website.
What is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is essentially a business model where you promote someone else’s product and earn a commission for each sale or action completed through your referral link. It’s a low-risk, high-reward approach to earning passive income. The beauty of affiliate marketing is that you don’t need to create your own products or handle any customer service. Your primary responsibility is to drive traffic to your affiliate links and convert that traffic into sales.
An Affiliate Marketing Website is the platform where you’ll promote products, offer reviews, create content, and generate leads that result in affiliate commissions. Your website will serve as the hub for your content, links, and tools to attract visitors and convert them into paying customers.
Key Steps to Building a Successful Affiliate Marketing Website
Creating an Affiliate Marketing Website might seem daunting at first, but breaking it down into manageable steps can make the process smoother. Here’s what you need to do:
1. Choose Your Niche
Your niche will define the focus of your Affiliate Marketing Website. Picking the right niche is crucial for success because it determines your audience and the types of products you will promote. Consider your passions, interests, and expertise. A niche that you are passionate about will keep you motivated, and it’ll be easier to create content.
For example, if you're passionate about fitness, you could focus on promoting gym equipment, supplements, or workout gear. The goal is to choose a niche where you can build authority, attract a targeted audience, and promote products that are relevant to your audience.
2. Select Affiliate Programs
After deciding on your niche, the next step is to find affiliate programs. There are numerous affiliate networks, such as Amazon Associates, ShareASale, and CJ Affiliate, where you can find products to promote. When selecting affiliate programs, choose those with a good reputation, competitive commissions, and products that align with your niche.
Make sure to read the terms and conditions of each program to understand their payout structure, approval process, and marketing guidelines. For instance, some programs may require you to get a certain number of sales before you get paid, while others pay on a monthly or quarterly basis.
3. Build Your Affiliate Marketing Website
Now comes the fun part: building your website. Fortunately, there are several website builders, like WordPress and Wix, that make it easy to create a professional-looking Affiliate Marketing Website without needing coding skills.
You’ll need a domain name, a hosting provider, and a website builder platform. Once you have your website set up, focus on creating high-quality, engaging content that resonates with your target audience. Your content should answer questions, provide value, and subtly incorporate affiliate links.
Key Elements of Your Affiliate Marketing Website
Here are some essential elements that should be included on your website to boost engagement and increase conversions:
1. Compelling Content
Your content is the backbone of your Affiliate Marketing Website. Whether it's blog posts, product reviews, comparison articles, or tutorials, your content should provide real value to your audience. Write in a conversational tone, focus on educating your audience, and subtly promote the affiliate products within the context of your content.
2. SEO Optimization
To attract organic traffic, your Affiliate Marketing Website needs to be optimized for search engines (SEO). Use relevant keywords in your content, optimize images, and structure your website to make it search-engine friendly. Ranking higher on search engines like Google will help you drive more traffic to your website, which leads to more affiliate sales.
3. Clear Call-to-Action (CTA)
A well-placed call-to-action (CTA) is essential to converting visitors into buyers. Your CTA should guide users to take specific actions, such as clicking your affiliate links, signing up for a newsletter, or purchasing a product. Make sure your CTA buttons are clear, noticeable, and easy to follow.
4. Trust Signals
For an Affiliate Marketing Website to succeed, trust is critical. Showcase testimonials, case studies, or product reviews to demonstrate credibility. Include an About page that explains who you are and what value your website offers. Display any certifications or affiliations with well-known brands to build authority and trust with your audience.
5. Responsive Design
With so many users browsing the web on mobile devices, a responsive website design is a must. Ensure your website adapts to all screen sizes, making it easy for visitors to navigate and engage with your content no matter what device they use.
Optimizing Your Affiliate Marketing Website for Long-Term Success
The journey to affiliate marketing success doesn’t stop once your website is live. Consistent effort and optimization are necessary to continue growing your Affiliate Marketing Website. Here are a few tips for long-term success:
Track Your Performance: Use analytics tools to monitor your website traffic, click-through rates, and conversion rates. This will help you understand what’s working and where improvements are needed.
Expand Your Affiliate Partnerships: As your website grows, you can expand your affiliate partnerships by joining more programs or promoting higher-ticket products.
Engage with Your Audience: Engage with your audience through social media, email marketing, and comment sections to build a loyal following.

How to Make Etho in DnD
I’ll go level by level and explain the reasoning behind my decisions and how I think it fits them in character. This build assumes starting at level 8 but includes notes on differences if you start at level 1 and progress to 8. This isn't intended as a guide on how to play dnd, just how to build this character.
Class: Artificer (Battle Smith) 5, Rogue (Inquisitive) 3
Race: Human (Variant) or regular Human if you don’t use feats.
Base Ability Scores:
Str 8 (-1)
Dex 14, (+2)
Con 10 (+0)
Int 15 (+2) +1 from race = 16 (+3)
Wis 13 (+1) +1 from race = 14 (+2)
Cha 12 (+1)
Background: Mercenary Veteran
Etho was an especially interesting character to build. I wanted to make sure to incorporate his redstone prowess (hence the artificer) but also acknowledge that he is very good at the social aspect of games and very good at sneaking around (hence the rogue). I opted to give him high intelligence as that is the main stat of the Artificer, but also gave him decent Dexterity. I also gave him decent Wisdom and Charisma due to him being so good in social situations, but unfortunately he’s a bit washed up at melee combat, so he has low strength and constitution.
Before getting into the classes, let’s start with the variant human race features:
Feat: Fighting Initiate, choose the Archery fighting style for a +2 bonus to your ranged attack rolls (leading to more consistent damage) (Etho bow skills baybee)
Skill proficiency: choose History (because Etho’s been around a long time, his knowledge of Minecraft or whatever world this takes place in is unmatched)
And the Mercenary Veteran background features:
Skill proficiencies: Athletics and Persuasion
Mercenary Life: You can identify other mercenary factions and find mercenary work. (I considered the Hermit background but ended up going with this one instead.)
At 1st level, we take a level in Rogue. This grants us:
Proficiency in light armour
Proficiency in simple weapons, hand crossbows, longswords, rapiers, shortswords
Proficiency in thieves’ tools
Proficiency in Dexterity and Intelligence saving throws.
Skill proficiencies: Insight, Perception, Stealth and Investigation (chosen with Etho’s skills at reading people and assessing situations in mind)
Expertise in two proficient skills: Insight and Stealth
Sneak attack: an extra 1d6 damage on enemies if you have advantage on the attack or if an enemy of your target is within 5 ft. of them (doesn’t activate if you have disadvantage).
Thieves’ Cant: Some sort of secret code. Maybe only understood by other Canadians (What’s the deal with bathroom p-)
Starting as a rogue instead of artificer gives you access to better saving throws and more skill proficiencies. The tradeoff is delaying your power spike at level 5. If you’re starting below level 6, you could start artificer instead and only multiclass into rogue after at least five levels in artificer, but this leads to a slightly different build.
At 2nd level, we take our first level in Artificer. This grants us:
Proficiency in medium armour and shields
Proficiency in tinkers tools and one other artisan tool of your choice (suggested alchemist’s supplies, you’ll get smith’s tools later)
Magical Tinkering: A fun little device you can make that lets you either make a little bit of light, record a message, play a sound or make a small image. You could use this to play intimidating boogeyman music or secretly pass information.
Two Cantrips: Mending (useful for repairing tools and also really helpful for later class features, Create Bonfire (flint and steel)
1st level spells (reflavoured to be technology): Artificers are prepared casters, meaning they can swap out their spells after a long rest. At level 1 with 16 Intelligence, you can have 3 prepared spells. My suggested spells are: Alarm (redstone trap with a tripwire), Feather Fall (he’s gotten pretty good at mlg water buckets) and Absorb Elements (just a solid defensive spell)
Artificers are pretty loaded at lvl 1 in terms of utility but aren’t super strong in the damage department yet. Without any damaging spells, your main source of damage would be using a shortbow and getting sneak attack damage off. Tinkering and technological side of the class feel perfect for Etho and most of the other Redstoners on the list.
At 3rd level, we take a second level in Artificer. This grants us:
Four Infusions known: useful feature that lets you enchant items. Though you can choose four options, only two of them can be active at a time. Choose Repeating Shot, Replicate Magic Item, Enhanced Weapon and Enhanced Defense
Two Infused Items: Take Repeating Shot and infuse a shortbow to give it +1 to your attack and damage rolls. Also take Replicate Magic Item, one of the most versatile infusions that lets you create a magic item from a list that can be useful in almost every situation. Go-to is Rope of Climbing because it’s the closest to ladders (ayy, he goes up he goes down).
One more prepared spell: Suggested Identify (always a useful spell)
The infused items are how I imagine Etho upgrading his weapons using redstone. Adding some sort of aim assist to his bow or making night vision goggles using redstone, that sort of thing just feels Etho to me. With a +1 bonus to attack rolls and damage from Repeating Shot infusion, your lower stat in dexterity is somewhat made up for and should suffice until level 3.
At 4th level, we take a third level in Artificer. This grants us:
The Right Tool for the Right Job: handy feature that lets you create any type of tools you might need.
Artificer Subclass: Battle Smith
Battle Smith grants you some very useful things.
Proficiency in smith’s tools
Extra prepared spells: Heroism and Shield
Battle Ready: Proficiency in Martial Weapons and when you attack with a magic weapon, you can use Intelligence instead of strength or dexterity. Super important because now we can upgrade to a longbow instead of a shortbow and use our higher intelligence stat instead of dexterity to deal more damage with our longbow.
Steel Defender: A little robot friend that can aid you in combat. As sneak attack doesn’t require a creature, just an enemy, your Steel Defender can in fact provide sneak attack. The downside is that it takes its turn after yours, not before, so some planning might be required. If you don’t need your bonus action for anything else, it can also attack people so that can alleviate the lack of an extra attack at level 5 if you’re starting below level 6. Unfortunately, Rogues make use of their bonus actions very often so it might just be a sneak attack provider. On the bright side, you can restore its health using the Mending cantrip.
Now here’s where things get interesting. Now Etho gets to use his Intelligence for his bow attacks, which optimizes the build a little in terms of stats. With a 16 in intelligence, you have a +3 modifier. Your ranged attacks will start being very consistent. +3 from intelligence, +2 from archery fighting style, +2 from proficiency bonus, that’s a +7 to hit, which is really good at this early of a level.
I also think it’s just very Etho to use intelligence-based attacks.
At 5th level, we take a fourth level in Artificer. This grants us:
Ability Score Improvement OR Feat: Etho doesn’t really need another feat at this point, so we take a +2 to our Intelligence, bumping it up to 18 (+4), which not only affects our number of artificer spells we can have prepared but also makes the longbow even better!
More prepared spells: Now that we have 4 levels in artificer and a +4 intelligence modifier, we can have 6 total prepared spells. If we count the previous suggested ones, we can have two more. Suggested: Disguise Self (he’s a cheeky boy) and Sanctuary (when he doesn’t want trouble).
The increase to intelligence is very helpful here, and if you’ve started below level 6 the extra consistency should slightly make up for the lack of extra attack until you get it next level. With your proficiency bonus now being +3, your attack rolls will be 4 (int) + 3 (prof. b) + 2 (archery) +1 (infusion) for a total of +10 to hit. You won’t miss very often.
At 6th level, we take a fifth level in Artificer. This grants us:
Subclass feature: Extra Attack
2nd level spells: Suggested: replace a 1st level spell with Invisibility (Etho likes to snoop around) flavour this as like camouflage technology or something.
This is where the build starts to really pick up. Intelligence based attacks means that you’re not suffering from lack of building dexterity because sneak attack only requires ranged or finesse weapons. The stat used doesn’t matter. With two attacks, you both double your damage output on your longbow itself (with EXTREMELY consistent attack rolls at a +10 to hit) and give yourself two chances to land that sneak attack damage (which is still only a d6 for now but that will soon change).
At 7th level, we take a second level in Rogue. This grants us:
Cunning Action: you can dash, disengage or hide as a bonus action.
Not much to say here other than that cunning action is extremely useful. With the ability to hide as a bonus action, you can grant yourself advantage consistently, meaning you no longer need to rely on your Steel Defender or party members to provide sneak attack. This also means you will pretty much never miss your first shot, because with advantage, you will on average be rolling at about +15 to hit (advantage statistically provides roughly a +5 bonus on average on top of your already high +10).
At 8th level, we take a third level in Rogue. This grants us:
Subclass: Inquisitive
Inquisitive grants:
Ear for Deceit: This is why we chose Expertise in Insight. With this feature, you can never roll below an 8 for Insight. With Expertise and a +2 wisdom modifier, that gives you a +8 bonus to your insight rolls, meaning your minimum insight roll is 16 every time. Sure, a high deception character could probably roll higher than that, but the important part is the consistency as well as the synergy with one of the other Inquisitive features.
Eye for Detail: You can use a bonus action to try to spot a hidden creature or search for clues. Not terribly useful outside of combat, but also very situational in combat.
Insightful Fighting: You can use a bonus action to use Insight vs the target’s Deception. If you roll higher, you can use sneak attack on them for 1 minute without needing advantage. Again, the high consistent Insight rolls will be extremely useful here.
I was facing a dilemma between Swashbuckler and Inquisitive for Etho. Swashbuckler is a bit better in combat with the ability to avoid opportunity attacks and the ability to get sneak attacks without spending a bonus action (all you need is for your target to be isolated) but the Inquisitive abilities just said “Etho” way more to me. The ability to just never roll low on Insight and the whole “figuring out a weakness” and investigative nature of the subclass just felt far more fitting to me, even if it is less optimal.
Summary:
Final Stats:
Str 8 (-1)
Dex 14, (+2)
Con 10 (+0)
Int 18 (+4)
Wis 14 (+2)
Cha 12 (+1)
Feat: Fighting Initiate (Archery)
Sneak Attack (2d6)
Minimum Insight roll of 16.
Two Attacks
Longbow attack: +4 (int) +3 (prof. bonus) +2 (archery) +1 (infusion) = +10 to hit, 1d8 + 5 piercing dmg.
Artificer Infusions: Enhanced Defense, Repeating Shot, Enhanced Weapon, Replicate Magic Item (Rope of Climbing)
Cantrips: Mending, Create Bonfire
1st and 2nd lvl spells: prepare up to 6.
And that’s it for Etho! This one was super interesting to make, because there are so many aspects of Etho that make him who he is, and it was really making him a multiclass combo that’s less common but also works well. If anyone has any suggestions or feedback, I’d love to read them! ^^
