Pairing: football-player!Joel Miller x golden-girl!Fem!Reader
POV: This story is told through the POV of high school senior Joel Miller
Summary: Joel's girl lives in his dreams and in the house next door. He's always known her, and he's always wanted her, but in ApplePine, whose dream does she not haunt? Now He has a chance that He's been looking forward to all his life. This can't fail. He won't let someone like her slip away.
Warnings/tags: Kind of toxic undertones, mentions of a bad home life (reader), church, idolization, nerves, kissing and making out, small Texas town with very traditional values, climbing and watching people through windows, Joel is a Lil bit of a stalker, BAD American football talk. On most Saturdays and after church on Sundays, she could be found working at the local ice cream shop. Occasionally, if there wasn't a football game, she would also work on Fridays. She was a well-known figure in our small town - being the girl next door, head cheerleader, and leading member of the student council. Her many accomplishments included winning the title of Little Miss Apple Pine, which only added to her popularity. Many of us admired her from afar, watching her ride her bike with friends, interact with the little kids in the neighborhood, or simply be in her element with a book in hand and a Walkman playing some music.
It was difficult to tell what music she listened to, but I'd like to think it was hard rock, maybe Guns N' Roses. However, her sweet nature suggested it was more likely to be Bon Jovi or AC/DC. Despite her bright persona, we all knew that she had a tough time at home, our houses were right next to each other too It was sad but there's only so much a loud TV can cover.
We attend the same school and ride the same bus together. We have chemistry class as well as lunch B together. Additionally, we share gym and math classes. I have noticed that she is quieter in math class and doesn't answer questions as quickly. In math class, she sits three seats ahead of me, and during lunch, she sits six seats away from me. Her round lunch table is located ten tables away from mine, and it's always occupied by a few cheerleaders and jocks who are considered acceptable, unlike me who often gets thrown off the field for hitting refs because of not knowing if  I'm coming or going. Compared to them, she seems to be in another world, like a cool autumn day in the middle of a hot Texas summer.
As the chemistry class began, Mr. McMory walked into the classroom with his glasses resting on the tip of his nose. He had only undone the top button of his shirt, showing some long curly grey chest hairs — utterly gross if you ask me. We all watched as he walked to the whiteboard at the front of the classroom. He clasped his hands together behind his back and stopped before turning to face the class.
"Now, as most of you probably know, we will need to form a new set of lab partners for this semester. However, to keep things fair so everyone gets a chance of getting matched with whom You would prefer, I've decided to have you all write your names on a small piece of paper and put them in this box. Once I've finished passing them out, I will draw two student names from the box at random, and those two will be your partners for this semester."
Without having to pause, Mr. McMory spoke clearly. This routine was something he did every marking period, four times a year, for 30 years. The memories of the previous marking period memories flooded my mind, where Jason Duly and Billy Holiday tried to bribe Gaby Michelle to give up her seat so that they could sit next to our classmate, the charming "I trust that you all understand the process now?" Mr. McMory continued. Once no one raised their hands to question what he said, he walked back to the front and handed out the small pieces of paper to everyone. "Now you have two minutes to write your names on the paper, then place it into the box. Once you are all finished, I will begin the randomized selection."
Chaos began to take place across the room with various bets being placed and trades being arranged like a market in the middle of a jungle, I wrote my name on the slip of paper without a thought. It was a meaningless task to me, as I would have been fine with getting anyone as my lab partner. In the middle sat our Pipe Dream, seemingly clueless to it all, while these students scrambled like mad to gain the favor of their desired partners, and the professor seemed unaware of all the action taking place in the classroom.
The chaos of the class was suddenly drowned out by Mr. McMory yelling out to have students start putting their slips into the box. As the box was quickly getting more and more full, the class started to become more and more silent and calm as no one wanted to be one of the ones not getting the partner they wanted even if they all wanted the same one our darling Miss pipedream isn't only perfect in every way but she's also incredibly smart.
Mr. McMory walked to the front of the classroom and stood in front of the whiteboard. He held the box and a red whiteboard marker. "No changing partners unless both parties are in agreement," he said as he paused and placed the box on a stool in front of him. He then pulled out the first two names. "Gaby and Hannah," he announced, causing a small gasp from some students. Mr. McMory placed the paper down and wrote the names on the board. There was a moment of silence before a low murmur began to spread throughout the classroom Mr. McMory then pulled out another two slips from the box and announced the next pairs of names: "Billy and Jillian, Jason and Cory." As each pair was announced, the two people were immediately surrounded by cheers of excitement or groans of disappointment. Some students could be overheard saying things like "no way!" and "I can't believe this!" and "Are we sure it's fair?" There were a few complaints here and there that their partner was not who they wanted, but Mr. McMory quickly cut them off, saying, "No changing partners unless both parties are in agreement, understood?"
As I stood watching the chaos break loose behind me, I couldn't help but chuckle at how quickly everything was unfolding. However, my laughter came to a sudden halt when Mr. McMory announced me and a stranger as partners. No, not a stranger, It was the girl who seemed to have it all, the girl who had effortlessly made her way through every aspect of the school and had become something of a legend. She was the girl next door, the one every boy wanted, and the only one I was enamored with at the slightest glance in her direction. My heart skipped a beat as I looked over the crowd and saw her smiling brightly at me. Time seemed to slow down as the rest of the world faded away. It was as if the universe was just waiting for us to get to know each other. My nervousness quickly turned into an adrenaline rush as I became more and more excited. It was an opportunity I couldn't pass up, a chance to turn my dreams into reality and finally figure her out.
Tumblr media
On the bus, I noticed her again. We made eye contact but didn't speak. She sat with her friend Sally Handson until she got off at her stop. However, I didn't expect her to move over and sit in the same seat as me.
"You're Joel, right?" she asked me before kindly offering her hand to shake.
"That's me," I smiled as I gently took her hand in mine and shook it. Our skin connected, and I felt a slight tremor in my hand before letting go, not wanting to make the situation any more awkward. I looked back up to see her, and she seemed to be just as nervous as I felt. The silence seemed to linger on for a moment before she spoke again.
"I just wanted to ask if you've had a chance to look at the assignment yet?"
I took a moment to gather my thoughts before speaking. "No, actually, I'm not very good at chemistry. I was probably going to copy off of you, to tell you the truth," I said, trying to make a joke, but struggling to hide the fact that it was true.
She smiled brightly, showing off her pearly white teeth. "Like all football players. It's okay though, I can help you study sometime if you'd like?"
As she spoke, my heart skipped a beat and my cheeks flushed. The offer of her help flooded my mind with different scenarios, from spending time with her after school to studying together at the library or even hosting study groups at our houses. I chuckled nervously and nodded my head.
The sudden stop of the bus snapped me back to reality, and a thought raced through my mind. Should I ask to walk her home? The offer seemed so appealing, and I was filled with possibilities of getting to know her even better. It was time to take the chance, but I had to fight the nervousness building inside me.
"Hey, are you walking to your house? Because I was just going to ask if...if I could walk you home?" I spoke the words carefully, fearing that I might mess up and ruin the moment. I fiddled with the straps of my backpack, feeling my heart pound in my chest as I waited for her response.
She smiled kindly at me. "Yes, and I would love that. Do you know which house?"
"I do," I said with a slightly more confident tone than before. I felt myself calming down as the idea of walking home together became more real. She began to take in the neighborhood around us, and I thought it was a perfect time to start a conversation.
"So, this is where you live?"
She giggled, and her laughter was infectious. I couldn't help but smile. "Joel, you and I have lived in the same neighborhood since we were newborns. We're neighbors for goodness sake, no need to be so formal with me."
She was right; I was overthinking our interactions. We had been neighbors for as long as I could remember. "Oh yeah...I suppose you have a point. I guess my nervousness made me go blank like that. I'm just not used to seeing you when you're not out on the field with your cheer squad." I chuckled, feeling my nerves die down even more as I looked over at her and relaxed a bit more.
"I understand it's hard not to picture me like that, and you as well, Joel. You're violent on the field. I'm pretty sure that referee from Tentown had a broken nose," she tries to make conversation.
The mention of the game in Tentown makes me chuckle a bit. That was the first game in the league where I was allowed to play, and I suppose my desire to prove myself ended with me getting a bit carried away. The thought of the ref's nose makes me chuckle a bit more as I couldn't help but feel bad for the ref.
"Yeah, I think you're right about that. But that's just how it is, right? The game is pretty brutal. I can't play without getting a little carried away."
She thinks for a second and then says, "Maybe that's why you're always benched, along with Tommy? Speaking of your brother, where is he? Oh, and how are poor freshmen? I heard the older football players are being a little mean."
The question about my benching for games suddenly brings back my nervous energy, and I immediately feel uncomfortable talking about it. "That's probably one of the reasons for it, yeah..." I sigh as the mention of my brother and some of the team's hazing of the freshman brings a frown to my face.
"It pisses me off how they treat some of the freshmen like that. I don't see why they can't just treat them like the rest of the team..." I pause mid-sentence as the thought comes to my mind.
"I feel so bad for the poor freshman. They do the same thing on the cheer team," she said. We stopped at the crossing signal, and I was surprised by how well she could relate to what I was describing. It dawned on me that she may have experienced it more than I had considering how involved she is in cheer. We waited for the light to turn green, and I smiled at her.
"We should set up a study date sometime soon. After all, you said you're not that good at chemistry?" she said as we got closer to her house. I was thrilled at the possibility of spending more time with her.
"Yeah, I think that's a good idea. I'll certainly need the help," I chuckled. She walked ahead of me with a sweet little glide in her step, making me have to catch up to her as we continued walking.
"Which days work for you?" she asked, opening her backpack and taking out a pen and paper. "Oh, and write down your landline number." I replied, "I'm pretty much free all week, so just let me know what works for you." Her request for my landline number made my heart skip a beat as it reminded me of when she offered to help me at her place.
"How about Friday after school since there's no game? We can meet at my place," she suggested as we stood outside her front gate. "That works great for me! We can discuss our study plans and maybe even study together if you're up for it," I replied excitedly. "Your place sounds perfect, and I just want to say thank you," I added, feeling grateful for her help. She smiled and said, "Of course, Joel." Then she walked into her yard and house, waving goodbye.
Tumblr media
Friday couldn't come any quicker in my mind. I couldn't get Miss Applepine, Cheery Pie, Pipe Dream out of my head at all. The more we talked in class, the more I fell under her spell and the more I wanted to know... She was a mystery, and I wanted to be the first to hear everything she was willing to tell.
now stand at her front door. I rang the doorbell eagerly waiting for her to answer. She opened the door; she looked so pretty. "Come on in, Joel," she opened the door to let me in. In all my years of being neighbors, I always wondered what her house looked like, and to be honest, her house is less organized than I thought.
"Sorry about the mess. You know, it's just me and my dad, and I'm a little behind on chores... um... studying," she began to ramble but stopped herself. It was rather cute; it made me smile even more.
"Come on upstairs to my room. I have all my books and everything up there," she led me up to her bedroom. It was so normal - band posters, photos of her family, school items, her numerous awards, and her window looked directly into my room.
As we entered her room, I couldn't resist glancing over to her window again. It felt like this was the closest I could get to seeing inside her home for A Long time and now I'm inside the looking glass. I took a seat right next to her bed as she went to her bookshelf to collect her textbooks. As we started reviewing the material, a wave of butterflies fluttered in my stomach. I occasionally stole a glance at her while she flipped through different articles, but I couldn't hold my stare for long.
"Are these all the books we're going to be using?" I asked as she placed her biology and chemistry books on her desk. I watched her lean over, her eyes almost glued to the books as she read through them. "Yeah, these are the ones. I just want to make sure that we're both prepared for this project. It's about how we think the universe began, so lots to cover" she replied with a soft smile that brought me back to reality for a moment as I gazed into her eyes.
"I'm ready to start studying. So, what do you want to start with?" she asked as I sat down. She looked at me with a sweet smile and thought for a moment before responding, "Do you think we should start with chemistry? I know it's the one you struggle with the most."
"Sure, that works," I replied excitedly she remembered that from the walk my cheeks got a little pink as I opened the book and looked over her shoulder to find the section she had mentioned. I was determined to pay close attention this time, feeling more relaxed thanks to her calm and collected presence.
Every little gesture or movement she made caught my full attention like a spark in my head. Her adorable smile and the way she played with her hair made it difficult to resist complimenting her. When she asked if she could ask me something, it snapped me out of my trance for a moment. I replied with a simple "Yeah, sure."
As she playfully hit my shoulder, her touch felt light as a feather. I couldn't help but smile, sitting up and crossing my legs like she was doing. Moving my book from my lap, I placed it on the end of her bed. "Why can't you focus?" she asked, and my heart started racing. I didn't want to tell her the truth, so I lied, "No reason..." Trying to act casual, I could feel myself blushing as she hit my shoulder and called me out. It was because of her - her sweet smile, small gestures, and the way she sat cross-legged on her bed - that I couldn't focus. But I couldn't just outright admit that I had a massive crush on her.
"We can take a break?" she offered, and I felt even more nervous. The idea of taking a break meant a chance to talk about things other than studying and a chance to just hang out with her. I was hoping that she felt the same way and that she also couldn't help but notice the tension that was building between us. I sat back up and joked, "You're saying that as if I would deny the offer." My heart was racing, and I couldn't help but wonder if she could feel the same tension I did.
As we continued to talk, I made sure to continue moving closer to her every chance that I could get. The heat coming from her body filled me with a new sense of boldness as I tried to make my actions more noticeable. "I mean who can blame me, when I'm sitting across from someone so charming..." I said as I leaned forward a little, making the distance between us almost nonexistent.
"Have you been studying for long?" she asked me as she laid back on her bed, making it clear that she had no plans to get up anytime soon. As the conversation shifted towards more flirtatious topics, I started to blush slightly. "Do you mean studying?..." I replied to her, but even I could hear that my voice had taken on a flirty tone.
"Yes, studying, or are you just as brain-dead as the other football players?" she joked. "Hey now, what are you implying?" I responded teasingly as I moved closer to her. As we talked more, the tone of the conversation became increasingly flirtatious, and I struggled to hold back my blush. "You're the one who keeps saying we should take a break. Sounds like you don't want to study..." I said, trying to pretend to focus on a book.
But even as we continued discussing the material or pretending to, I noticed her eyes drifting toward me as she glanced up and down my body. It made me feel a little uneasy, but also excited as I wondered what she was thinking. Could she feel the same tension between us that I felt?
"Hmmm, maybe I don't. But you're the one who said yes to the break." she grinned mischievously as I scooted slightly closer to her, looking up and staring into her eyes. "You make it kind of hard to pay attention..."
As we continued to talk The heat coming from her body filled me with a sense of boldness as I attempted to make my actions more noticeable. "I mean, who can blame me when I'm sitting across from someone so charming?" I said as I leaned forward a little, making the distance between us almost nonexistent.
"I'm flattered. I'll take that as a compliment since you're also very kind with your words," she said as I moved even closer to her. We were almost too close for comfort, but I couldn't resist getting even closer. "I thought I was charming, but you are even more charming than I imagined," I told her, leaning in even closer until I was practically touching her. I felt like I was crossing a line, but I couldn't help myself. Her eyes seemed to be blushing, and I felt a sudden burst of confidence. I brought my hand up to her side, almost touching her waist. "You are an interesting girl," I whispered.
"You find me interesting?" she asked, smiling shyly and looking down. I could tell she was blushing and feeling a little embarrassed, but I decided to take a risk and leaned in even closer. Our faces were almost touching, and I could feel her breath on my face. I looked up at her and felt a rush of emotions.
"I didn't know you were so easy to read," I said as I leaned even closer to her, this time the tiny distance between us was nothing but air. I couldn't help but feel that feeling building inside me again as I watched her face grow redder and redder as it appeared to be a little closer every time. "I'm sure most guys would be more than happy to take advantage of a beautiful girl like you.”
“Are you most guys? Should I be worried? I'm not a one-and-done girl, Joel…” she said, showing insecurity for what seems to be the first time. As she asked me if I was 'most guys', I couldn't help but feel my heart sink for a brief second as I heard her insecurity, but I quickly recovered and smiled as I looked down at her. My hands slowly wrapped around her waist as I leaned even closer. "Oh please, you think I'm going to leave someone as beautiful and kind as you just like that. You aren't a one-and-done girl, you're... you're an angel." I slowly leaned forward so our faces were just a hair's width apart. I gazed into her eyes, lost in the moment, when she suddenly exclaimed, "An Angel?" Her voice was soft, yet full of wonder, as if she had just seen something magical. She was so close to me that I could feel her breath on my face, and I couldn't help but notice the way her face immediately flushed up with red. Her eyes quickly looked down, as if to distract herself from her sudden burst of emotion.
I kept looking at her, waiting for her to look back up at me. I leaned down just a bit more, my heart racing with anticipation, as my lips were barely an inch from hers when she finally decided to look back up. I couldn't help but feel the surge of joy rushing through my body as I saw the way her eyes slowly opened and she looked back up to face me.
The way her cheeks were still flushed and the shy, but happy look on her face was exactly what I needed. It was the perfect moment as I leaned in for the kiss. Our lips met in a sweet and simple embrace, and I felt a warmth spread through my body. It was like time had stopped, and nothing else mattered in the world except for that moment. I held her close as we kissed, and I knew deep down inside that this was the start of something special.
The kiss started gentle but with each second that passed it started to become more intense. The heat of her body and the way her hands ran through my hair was making my heart skip a few beats as I started to wish I could pull her into an even deeper kiss. I didn't want to overwhelm her though so I tried to keep it simple, although it was hard to keep my hands from finding every part of her body that I could. She's not someone who wants a one-time thing and I'll do everything I can to make sure she doesn't think all I want is sex.
We disengaged when we heard her front door slam shut. "That's my dad!" she exclaimed, her urgency evident. "He can't know you're here." She swiftly rose, pulling me up with her, both of us breaking away from the kiss as she hurried us along. Her pace was so brisk that it took a moment for me to catch on before I scrambled up. "Why can't he know I'm here?" I whispered, trying to avoid any noise as her dad ascended the stairs.
"Because he'll flip if he finds a guy in my room. Though, it's not like it's the first time I've had a guy over," she rushed, steering us towards her bedroom window. "Seriously? You've done this before?" I questioned? but that conversation could wait as we reached her bedroom window, which she promptly opened, urging me outside.
"Well, there was this one time Dad caught me, and he nearly lost it. I promised I wouldn't do it again, and he dropped it," she explained hurriedly, her insistence on getting me out the window starting to concern me. I trusted she knew what she was doing, but I wasn't quite prepared for what came next.
"Are you seriously making me climb out your window?" I protested.
"Don't be a wimp. You'll be fine. You're not the first guy I've had over," she reassured, though her words didn't ease my nerves. The distance from her window to the ground seemed to grow as she tugged me closer to the edge.
As I began to climb out, my foot slipped, and I fell with a hard thud and a loud squeak.
Despite the throbbing pain in my ankle, the walk home afforded me ample time to ponder, and my thoughts continuously circled back to her. I couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right, as if she was keeping something from me. If she's had numerous guys over before, why the sudden worry about her dad catching her? Was I just another casual fling to her? My mind brimmed with inquiries for my elusive "little miss pipedream."

How is Denver so far compared to Austin?
I quite prefer Denver, but I'm biased for a few reasons.
Austin makes me sad. Austin now is not the Austin I grew up in/the Austin I loved. And nostalgia for a place that no longer exists while still technically existing leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Did you know that the greenbelt and all its trails and climbing walls used to feature a creek that never dried up? The level might fluctuate, but it ran all year round, fed by springs from the aquifer. You could climb until you got overheated and then go sit in the water for a bit to recover. Now, after years of extreme heat, persistent droughts, and people pumping water out of the aquifer, it's just miles of dry rock with small trees growing in it, that occasionally floods when it rains. I can't climb there without feeling...I don't even know how to describe it. Like I'm walking over the corpse of an old friend.
Denver gives us a community. In Denver, we live in a walkable/bikable community within 2 miles (or much less) of our grocery store, restaurants, a gluten-free bakery, coffee shops, our climbing gym, and several friends. I've seen more people in person in the last three weeks here than I did in the previous 3 months in Austin. One of my friends jogs by every afternoon. Others live at the park I walk Deacon to in the mornings. People just...drop in to see us/how house renovations are going spur-of-the-moment because they were literally walking by/on their way home. Community is so important to me and I have that here in a way I didn't in Austin.
Terrain. Texas is so damn flat. I get a thrill driving to Home Depot here because I can see mountains in the distance. Our rooftop deck looks at the mountains. I can be in the mountains after a less than 30-minute drive. I had to drive for hours to get to a hill in Austin. Here, mountains are just...present in a comforting way.
The seasons. Austin doesn't have seasons. Here, we have gorgeous sunny weather most of the time but the trees change color in the fall and we currently have snow! Deacon LOVES snow. Probably even more than me. There is something so delightful about taking a walk while it's snowing. When the whole world is quiet and white and still. Even after living in one of the snowiest places in the US for a year, snow is still so novel to me. Big fan.
Travel. I can walk to the train station from our house, which will take me to the airport in 25 minutes. And Denver is a hub for Southwest which means tons of direct flights at low costs (to places like Austin!). I also have a companion pass for Southwest, which means I can take B (or anyone else I please) with me for free on any Southwest flight. Which is very handy. B's mom has already visited us twice (coming again this weekend) because there are quick direct flights from Phoenix she can take advantage of. The negatives are the cost of living and the fact that the homeless population is large and the city doesn't seem to have the appropriate resources (or perhaps willingness) to address it. But those are both issues that plague Austin as well. The only thing I miss about Austin is the ability to see my parents whenever I want. My mom is coming to visit in two weeks and we're hoping to coax my dad out when it warms up a bit (and we have the guest rooms ready), but I definitely miss them.

R my love!! I’m so sorry you’ve been so overwhelmed lately :( I know the feeling all too well, I meant to get this out sooner but I hope it helps you feel even just a little bit less stressed!! Take care of yourself and take a little mental break whenever you get the chance, you’re almost to holiday!! I hope you enjoy this and get some relief soon dear 💖💖💕💗💗💗
Jake was sitting in the living room when you came through the door, starting slightly when he heard you shut it just a little too hard and kick off your shoes with a huff in the hallway. He watched with his face slightly furrowed in concern as you trudged through the doorway, your shoulders slouched forward and fingers rubbing your temples as you flopped down beside him on the couch.
He lets out a sympathetic hum as he sets a hand on your thigh, thumb brushing softly over your knee, "rough day?"
You nod in response, slumping over into his side and burying your face in his shoulder with a groan, “you have no idea, everything just feels like it's piling up."
Frowning at the distress and exhaustion in your voice, he pulls you into his lap, settling you against his chest with your head tucked under his chin, "is there anything I can do for you darlin?”
He runs his hands through your hair, taking over the job of rubbing at your temples and gently scratching at your scalp as feels you shake your head against him, relaxing into his hold as his voice rumbles through his chest as he speaks, the slight Texas drawl that you love so much melting away your stress. You press yourself impossibly further into him, breathing in his scent and his presence as he firmly wraps his arms around you. You've never been more thankful to how much time he spends at the gym, his large arms acting like a weighted blanket made just for you as you let out a sigh, releasing more of the tension from your body with every passing moment. You feel yourself start to doze off and mumble out finally, "Just this, Jakey, love you holding me like this. Love your arms."
He softly chuckles in response, tightening his hold around you and planting a kiss to the top of your head, me and my arms love you too sweets, we can sit here for as long as you need."
You let out a hum and nod against his chest, pressing a kiss to his collarbone as he feels your breathing slow and even out, drifting off in his arms. And if he carefully picks up his phone and snaps a photo of your sweet face asleep against him before ordering food from your favorite take out place? Well, that's nobody's business but his own. You’re his darling, and it’s his job to take care of you and capture every moment the two of you have together.

Tenderness and rot share a border (AO3 link) -- Chapter 2/5 -- 6k -- rated M
When Carlos was a rookie cop he played a part in bringing down a major crime syndicate. Attention to detail, finding the connections others miss? He helped make the case which had roots all the way through the system.
Newlyweds Carlos and TK are returning  from their honeymoon, looking forward to starting their married lives together. Any ideas they had for what that would look like disappear when they are met at airport arrivals by their fathers, APD, and Texas Rangers.
Carlos' past is crashing into his present and now the whole future they had planned is under threat.
Special thanks to @wtfuckevenknows for pushing through her dislike of the ou/s spellings. You will take them from the narrative over this Brit’s cold, dead hands.
---
"Thanks for tonight," Carlos said as TK closed the bedroom door behind him. When his husband paused in confusion, Carlos nodded in the direction of the rest of the house. "For listening to me."
"Still confused."
"My breakdown?"
TK bit his lip to stifle a laugh. "Baby, that was not a breakdown. A breakdown is what my dad had when they discontinued his favourite eye cream back in New York."
"Everyone keeps telling me that it'll be OK, that they have it in hand. They've got leads on Chris and Savio. They're looking into those leads. They're following up on those leads. They're doing all they can. I know these lines; I say these lines."
"Are they lines when you say them?"
Carlos' gaze dropped to the covers over his lap.
"Baby," TK said softly, crawling up the bed to him until he was almost hovering over him. "It will be fine."
"I—"
"It—" TK said, punctuating his sentence with kisses "—will—" kiss "—be—" kiss "—fine." He moved and climbed under the covers, curling into Carlos' side. "They'll find them."
"I hope so." There was a beat before Carlos added, "Because I did not picture starting married life sleeping in my father-in-law's spare room."
TK waved to the officers outside the house as he walked up the path to the front door, swallowing as much air as he could. He pulled the headphones out, slotting them into their case as he turned off the music on his phone.
It had been nice to get out, to run from his thoughts and his worries for a bit. Carlos' own workouts were limited to Owen's home gym: TK had felt guilty about it for about two minutes before Carlos pointed out that they both didn't need to be under house arrest and only one of them was allowed to be going stir crazy after nearly a week. Plus it would help if one of them was able to clear their heads and stay focused and keep the other grounded.
And when Carlos was right, he was right. His head was clearer, his heaving chest felt lighter, and his feet were the right kind of hurting.
As he opened the door he froze.

Ooc: Places that I think should be pokemon regions
I want these so bad omg.
Texas, USA
As much as a dislike Texas, a region based on it would be nice. It could also bring a lot of neat pokemon. Imagine the wild areas too!
South Africa
Or just an African region in general. I don't have a reason for this other than the cool pokemon that could come with it, and I have pokemon OCs that are from a pokemon version of South Africa. It probably won't happen because Japan has a lot of xenophobia and racism, but I can hope (They added a Hawaiin region and I know that's US territory, but all 3/4 Kahunas were Hawaiin and dark skinned, so it could be closer than we think)
Egypt
5th grade me made an Egyptian pokemon region called Asaro. I never worked on it much, but I remember making a ghost type eeveelution that was a mummy (it was a regional variant of the OG ghost type I made). If they were to ever make an African pokemon region, Egypt would be the best one.
Italy
I literally have no reason for this other than I think the towns could look nice.
Australia
I think the next pokemon region is going to be Asutralian because each gen gives us a hint to the next (Example: Pokemon swsh showed art of a cherry and a grape in the hotel, which is pokemon sv). For Pokemon Scarlet, we got an image of a mountain that resembles a mountain in Asutralia.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think an Asutralian region would be super cool. I actually had an Australian region in 5th grade called Sonin, and I want the Australian region to be real so bad to bring 5th grade me peace.
Midwest, USA
Reason? I live in the Midwest, and I want a region where I can stand in and be like "Omfg, I live here." Specifically, I live in Nebraska, but the entire midwest is the exact fucking same, so it doesn't tmatter if they choose one state or combine all of it. I even have some cool fakemon ideas! Example: a cardinal fakemon that looks like a thief, a maid raccoon because they're actually pretty clean, and the early grass types you find that turn into hot plant ladies could be corn. My friend actually made one when we were younger, and I made a map of it during quarantine. I remember making a cool town that was underground and held a ground-type gym leader.
China
I don't have any reasoning for this. I just think it'd be neat. OH WAIT! I just remembered an old fakemon I made named Fumo! It was a starter for a Chinese based region I don't remember the name of, and it was a red panda. I remember liking it a lot, and I might redraw it some day!
India
India is a really big place, and it'd probably be the biggest region. Honestly, they might just have to choose a section of India. But India has a lot of culture, and also has 1 billion people, so a lot of fans would be able to relate to it.
Mexico
There's actually an artist @voidarkana who is working in a Mexican region on their insta. I'm actually surprised we haven't gotten one, or at least hinted at one sooner (I can because Japan is xenophobic as hell). Buy there could be cool things with a Mexican region. And could you imagine the mythical and regional variants??? Imagine an Alebreje pokemon, or a Dia de los Muertos Houndoom!
Brazil
I made one in 5th grade (I made a lot of shit in 5th grade). I don't remember what it was called. I think it was Bravo or something? Idk. I want this because RAINFOREST WILD AREA. Imagine climbing on these massive vines with the newer graphics, and being able to go on the canopy! Or imagine a town in a rainforest and it'd be a cool treetop city! It'd be like Fortree city, but so much better!
Germany
Germany has a lot of culture, which I think would be fun to explore in pokemon. Plus, they could make SO many pokenon off of the Grimm's fairytales.
California, USA
California is gross, expensive, and polluted irl, but it could be super nice in a pokemon game.
Canada
I made a Canadian region named Calle in 5th grade, and I liked it a lot. It's where I had a Buneary regional variant that was ice type and had these cute little slippers. And one of the starters was an ice type hare, and I thought it was super cute.
Greece
A YouTuber had an idea for one, and I liked it a lot. I don't remember who made it, but they had the idea of the gym leaders being based off the gods, and the champion being based on a Greek Hero. That'd be so cool!

So. I live and teach in Texas. This is important because it’s currently mid-80s, feels mid-90s, and is projected to climb near triple digits today.
The AC is out in every building except the the front office.
I’m currently crammed into a gym full of hundreds of sixth graders pretending to watch “The Lion King”, and before you ask, yes. It’s cooler in the gym than in the building. Hell, it’s cooler outside than in the building!
What I’m saying is, fuck heat. And school. And especially fuck the combination of those two things.

When turbine blades for the United States’ first offshore wind project left port in September 2023, headed for the Vineyard Wind 1 project off Massachusetts, they were traveling on a barge instead of a wind turbine installation vessel, or WTIV. These purpose-built vessels are common in other parts of the world and make the job much, much easier. A WTIV is a transportation and construction rig in one. Frequently equipped with a big crane, deployable legs, and a dynamic positioning system, WTIVs can support the installation of several humongous turbines per trip.
There are dozens of WTIVs plying the world’s waters. So, why were the Vineyard Wind 1 blades delivered on a barge? This expensive, inefficient workaround was necessary because of a century-old law known as the Jones Act.
Also known as the Merchant Marine Act of 1920, the Jones Act requires anyone transporting goods from one point in the United States to another to use an American ship. And by a modern interpretation of the old law, an offshore turbine counts as a point in the United States. The trouble is, the United States doesn’t have any WTIVs. And without the appropriate equipment, the country’s offshore wind efforts are being plagued by the need for repeated, smaller-capacity barge trips that have added costs to projects already beset by financial difficulties. Danish energy company Ørsted, for example, cited vessel delays when it canceled two planned projects off the New Jersey coast: Ocean Wind 1 and 2.
The country’s first Jones Act–compliant WTIV, the Charybdis, is currently under construction in Texas. While originally planned for completion in 2023, labor constraints have pushed the Charybdis’s launch back at least a year, possibly into 2025, says Dominion Energy, the vessel’s owner.
The Biden administration’s goal is to deploy offshore wind turbines capable of generating 30 gigawatts of power by 2030. That’s more than 2,000 turbines. To meet this target, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), part of the US Department of Energy, says there’s a need for four to six WTIVs. But as 2030 draws ever closer, the incomplete Charybdis remains the only one.
The Jones Act is tricky to navigate. For a vessel to be compliant, it must not only be built in the United States and running the country’s flag but also be owned and crewed by Americans. Consequently, US shipyards enjoy a monopoly, which allows them to demand massively inflated prices.
When finished, the 144-meter-long Charybdis will boast over 5,000 square meters of main deck area and accommodate up to 119 people, supported by on-board cabins, mess rooms, and shops, as well as a cinema, gym, and hospital. But the WTIV’s cost has climbed from US $500 million to $625 million. Meanwhile, the major shipyards in South Korea could have built a similar vessel in less time, for less money, and with a more powerful crane.
The reason for the Jones Act’s longevity, says Colin Grabow, a research fellow at the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank, is that while it tends to benefit only a few people and businesses, the act goes unnoticed because there are many payers sharing the increased costs.
The Jones Act is one in a string of protectionist laws—dating back to the Tariff Act of 1789—designed to bolster US marine industries. The Jones Act’s existence was meant to ensure a ready supply of ships and mariners in case of war. Its authors reasoned that protection from foreign competition would foster that.
“Your average American has no idea that the Jones Act even exists,” Grabow says. It’s not life-changing for very many people,” he adds. But “all Americans are hurt by the Jones Act.” In this case, that’s by slowing down the United States’ ability to hit its own wind power targets.
Grabow says those most vocal about the law—the people who build, operate, or serve on compliant ships—usually want to keep it in place.
Of course, there’s more going on with the country’s slow rollout of offshore wind power than just a century-old shipping law. It took a slew of factors to sink New Jersey’s planned Ocean Wind installations, says Abraham Silverman, an expert on renewable energy at Columbia University in New York.
Ultimately, says Silverman, rising interest rates, inflation, and other macroeconomic factors caught New Jersey’s projects at their most vulnerable stage, inflating the construction costs after Ørsted had already locked in its financing.
Despite the setbacks, the potential for offshore wind power generation in the United States is massive. The NREL estimates that fixed-bottom offshore wind farms in the country could theoretically generate some 1,500 gigawatts of power—more than the United States is capable of generating today.
There’s a lot the United States can do to make its expansion into offshore wind more efficient. And that’s where the focus needs to be right now, says Matthew Shields, an engineer at NREL specializing in the economics and technology of wind energy.
“Whether we build 15 or 20 or 25 gigawatts of offshore wind by 2030, that probably doesn’t move the needle that much from a climate perspective,” says Shields. But if building those first few turbines sets the country up to then build 100 or 200 gigawatts of offshore wind capacity by 2050, he says, then that makes a difference. “If we have ironed out all these issues and we feel good about our sustainable development moving forward, to me, I think that’s a real win.”
But today, some of the offshore wind industry’s issues stem, inescapably, from the Jones Act. Those inefficiencies mean lost dollars and, perhaps more importantly in the rush toward carbon neutrality, lost time.

lay all your love on me - tell me a random fact about yourself and I’ll say who I ship you with!
I have a fairly big Texas shaped scar on my lower abdomen. I got it when I was kid because I fell off of the home gym equipment my dad had very excitedly bought for himself. I liked to climb the very top of it and sit and read. I fell off one day while climbing. My dad had to sell it for half of what it cost him only after 3 weeks of purchasing it.
Congrats on 5k followers, that's such a huge milestone!!!! I love your blog ❤️
*googles what shape texas is in because I'm european* omg that as a scar? damn.
I'm gonna have to say peter parker because I mean the climbing up onto weird places to read thing is just something you guys can bond over.

were you named after anyone?
I believe my dad liked the name after hearing of someone else that had named his kid my name? But not anyone in particular, no.
when was the last time you cried?
I feel like this isn’t the right answer, but I can’t remember a time before a week ago. I cried a week ago. Like… the day before I broke up with my boyfriend.
do you use sarcasm a lot?
Hmm, I used to. I don’t think I do as much anymore. I’m not very good with my tone, so people tend to think I’m being serious. Although, I feel like I’m lying right now, so maybe I do.
what's the first thing you notice about people?
I feel like I just take people in as a whole? I don’t tend to single out any one thing in particular. Maybe what they’re wearing?? I like to guess people’s personalities based off of their outfit choices. Not in a judgey way… just in an observational way.
what’s your eye color?
It’s a shade of brown.
scary movies or happy endings?
Fully depends on how I’m feeling. Usually scary movies.
any special talents?
No
where were you born?
Central Texas
what are your hobbies?
Reading, playing video games, going to swim at the river, writing, watching an ungodly amount of YouTube videos
have any pets?
I have a chihuahua!
what sports do you play/have you played?
Currently, nothing. I’ll go climbing with friends every once in a while at our local gym, or maybe ride around on a skateboard at the park with my friends that actually know how to skate, but in reality I don’t do much physical activity (yikes). I have played tennis, soccer, and volleyball. I was a gymnast for most of my life and a cheerleader in high school.
how tall are you?
5’ 3”
favorite subject in school?
Language Arts! I love reading! I love writing! My major in college was English!
dream job?
Getting paid money for existing. I don’t know?? Everything gets weird eventually
Tagging:  @interdimentional (If you haven’t done this:) You!

6) Ever been to a haunted house? If so, where do you tend to linger in the group?
I've only ever been to one, but boy was it memorable. I have to share the story! I'll try to keep it brief, though.
The place was an abandoned three-story building. I think it was a school at some point? I can't recall. Either way, it was actually decaying prior to decorations and hadn't been in use for well over a decade. There were sections of floors truly roped off to prevent accidents, but could be confused for decorations. Many of the stairs were broken. I mean that too — one bad step and you'd plummet.
To start the tour you had to go all the way up to the 3rd floor and work your way down to ground level, out through the gym. Out of precaution, the group had to be guided by a tour guide. The place was amazingly designed, though. In some places you had to crawl, literally, through vents. A whole room was a mirror room! They had people dressed up to scare people. It was great fun until I, who fell behind the group because I tend to linger in the back, became lost. Ideally, I could've waited for the next tour group to wander by, but I panicked. (Forgot to mention that two tours ran at the same time but went in two different directions) This is how I found the real inaccessible sections and broken stairs — almost falling down two stories when the stairs just... stopped being there.
To sum it up, I ended up charging ahead in a direction I thought was right. All alone and mainly through pitch darkness. Constantly thinking I'm in the wrong place, in a forbidden area, and about to fall through the floor. Then I hear a chainsaw rev and people screaming. The lights start flickering in a short burst. Showing only a fraction of the room detail that I noticed, after the fact, replicated the meat room in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The noise grew closer and I started to run. Seriously, that kind of run where it's no fucks given full-on sprint mode. Before I knew it I'm out of the building and have climbed the extremely tall chain link fence around the property — it was at least seven feet. I was around fourteen at the time, 5'2, and I absolutely scaled that thing in a matter of seconds.
Anyway, the building was torn down after Halloween ended but I will always remember the experience there.

I come again, dropping off my favorite child, seeking fulfillment.
Synopsis, local mentally unhinged man kills his boss in a zombie outbreak.
Please comment. Racc out.
February 14, 2046.
Huntsville, Texas.
I enter the recently reopened huntsville unit, inmates are either clamoring around, or paying no attention to each other, i am given 2 hours of visitation time for my interview with Johnny Arler. Mr. Arler’s eyes are an emerald green, he has a scar on his cheek, and long black hair.
“so your the one whose gonna be interviewing me? I was expecting someone better..”
After a moment of silence, Mr. Adler cackles.
“so, my experiences in the war. Ill tell you about the US collaspe. The riots, my favorite part of that war. It was july 4th 2024, one of the best independence days ive ever had. Austin Texas, the riots where just starting, im part of the crowd watching as these people break into stores, throw molotovs, because, the people found out that the government lied to them, the vaccines didnt work, and this Virus wasnt just another form of rabies, it was an unholy resurrecting zombie virus. So? What did the people do? Burn it all down, Burn the world down if they could. But me? The only thing i wanna do is go to my office, and find my boss, he’s at least a foot smaller than i am, scrawny as hell, and in over his head, and currently boarded up with the higher ups in the place i worked, i wont disclose where i worked for whatever reason, in truth, its not important. On the way inside i see this dude shambling around, holding his hand to his stomach, extremely pale, no one knew what was about to happen to the dude. Looking back on it, its hilarious, people where so caught up in rioting, that they couldnt give a damn about the guy beside him about to collapse and mess up everyones day.”
“Now, i enter the building, i got a crowbar on my back, just strolling around, when i get jumped by a zed on the second floor, the thing didnt know that this entire acocolypse was the exact excuse i needed to take out work stress, and turns out this guy was my coworker from another cubicle, always the workaholic, always the first to take more hours, it was almost like he hated being at home, point being, the dude was annoying, and he pissed me off for a multitude of reasons. I take him by the collar of his neck while he snaps his jaws at me, trying to overpower me. I was the biggest guy in the office, none of the other people at the office bothered to go to the gym but me, so i, pick this zed up, and slam him onto the ground, stomping his skull in before he gets back up for round 2. I keep going up the stairs, my goal is floor ten, the top of the building, its a decent walk. Nothing exciting besides mr. workaholic, i get to the tenth floor, but its all boarded up! I cant get in there, but theres one of those window cleaner things on the ninth floor, and i have a meeting with my boss, so, i swing my crowbar, climb into the cleaner thing, look down, decide that was a bad decision, and start my ascent to the tenth floor, and man, the sight i saw when i got to the window was certainly something. The CEO is chowin down on his assistant, while the rest of the people are cowering in the corner, i see my boss at the same time he sees me, he rushes over to me, screaming at me to let him, and only him, out of there, so, i do. I break the glass, and watch as all the higher ups try and clammer into the basket, even the CEO, they all clammer over each other and end up falling into the crowds below, at some point the building ended up on fire, i dont know how, i dont really care how, my business was almost done.”
“My boss and i get onto the ninth floor, and he brushes off his rescue as if i was ment to do it, his bodyguard or whatever. Yeah, no. i start talking about how funny it is, that i was forced to serve man who i could kill in nature, just so i can earn currency, in order to keep myself. He turns around, all book smarts this guy, he doesnt know what im going on about. So i just make it real simple for him to understand, i swing my crowbar back, taking a crack at his knee like its a louisville slugger. His knee bends to the right, aka, not how its supposed to bend. He lets out a cry as he falls, breaking his glasses and his nose when he hits the ground. He’s bleeding from his nose as the bone from his leg juts out, he’s snivling like the waste of oxygen he is, so i explain to him, that he’s the one i had to serve, when i could kill him in nature like hes a fly, i wrap my hands around his neck and start to squeeze, but the dude was smarter than i thought, dude had a knife on him. He stabs me right here”
Mr. Arler points to the scar on his right cheek
“the blade wasnt long at all, didnt do too much damage to my charming face, all i had to do was bite down on the blade as the life drained from his eyes. I get up, notice the building is just a little bit hotter than before, i notice the smoke coming from below, and i begin my descent, almost tripping in my haste to get to the bottom floor. The situation in the streets has only gotten funnier, the people who were too fed up with themselves, are now getting eaten like a steak by the dude who collapsed, the CEO is still crawling around somewhere, im sure, but its absolute chaos, i walk my way back home, but decide, why should the fun end there? I get into my ford mustang, decide to take it into austin, might as well, do it for fun.”
“i crack open a beer, and drain it quickly as i drive, hitting a few zeds on the side of the road, i think they where zeds at least. But after that, i just decide, the situation in texas is pretty bad, the news says that the situation on the west coast is much better, so i decide, i got gas, lets make the journey. Turns out that was the best thing i could do. After DC, the government and army resettles, im told to settle into some comfy home and start working with economic stuff, not my jam, wasnt my jam in the last life, so, i sneak over to my boss’s house, and give him what i gave my last boss.”
“the military police worked real damn fast, and i got caught too quickly for my taste. My prison life was pretty ok, started a few riots, got switched into a few more prisons. Some military person asked me if i wanted to get off for my crimes and train to fight the zeds, hell no, wasnt too into that, so, here i am, in the huntsville unit.”
I thank Mr. Arler for his time and leave.

2023 L’Etape San Antonio Recap
Looking to kit up, clip in and line up for an authentic Tour de France experience? Then look no further than … San Antonio, Texas?
This past weekend Bikeflights staff members Zach Heyer and Vince Camiolo traveled to San Antonio for our partner event L’Etape San Antonio by Tour de France, one of two US-based events that are “part of a worldwide amateur cycling series designed to make you feel like a true Tour de France champion.”
Tumblr media
Tour de France experts designed courses to accommodate cyclists from beginnersto elite racers, with distances of 25 miles, 60 miles and 100 miles. Those choosing to race vie for the iconic yellow (overall winner), green (sprint) and polka dot (king and queen of the mountain) jerseys.
The San Antonio event joined forces with the Fiesta FitFest, creating a “village” of vendors that covered every aspect of the fitness industry. The Bikeflights booth had neighbors ranging from local boxing and cross-training gyms to yoga studios to nutrition products, a local bike shop and running store.
The village, which began Friday evening, featured an on-stage introduction of the event’s Tour de France ambassador and legend Jens “Shut Up Legs” Voigt. Voigt spoke of his personal history in cycling before allowing questions from the audience.

Saturday morning kicked off with a well-attended 5K and 10K run. As the day progressed, the village square featured free fitness classes and yoga led by some of the vendors. One of the most anticipated events for the cyclists in the crowd was the meet and greet and autograph session with Jens Voigt. Voigt graciously signed a variety of items and conversed and took photographs with fans.
But Voigt wasn’t the only German Tour de France icon in high demand for photographs at L’Etape San Antonio. Didi Senft, also known as Didi the Devil and El Diablo, wandered the village in his hard-to-miss devil costume pleasing cycling fans by accommodating every photo request he encountered with a crazed face.

Sunday was the big day for L’Etape by Tour de France participants, including Bikeflights’ own Zach Heyer. While Vince held down the Bikeflights booth, Zach took on the 60-mile route.
“Since it was my first road event, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I chose the 60-mile route, because I wanted to push myself but still be able to enjoy the afternoon,” said Zach.
The course began at the University of Texas San Antonio campus and ventured out into the rolling San Antonio Hill Country, climbing 880 feet, 3,000 feet and 5,400 feet for the 25-mile, 60-mile and 100-mile routes respectively.
After completing the 60-mile course Zach rolled back to the Bikeflights booth with a smile on his face.

“Overall I thought the route was great. It was really well marked with well-run aid stations. They had plenty of volunteers out on major corners and road crossings,” he said, before giving the ultimate endorsement, “I would do it again.”
Las Vegas will host the next L’Etape by Tour de France event on May 7. If you’ll be there, too, we hope you’ll stop by our booth and say “hello.”

The History of Carrollton TX
Carrollton has a rich history that includes a number of notable individuals. One of the most well-known was Wade H. Perry, who was instrumental in the growth of the area. He was a successful businessman who built homes, churches, schools, and even a railroad depot in Carrollton, which helped develop the city into an industrial hub.
Early settlers to Carrollton came from the state of Illinois and had to overcome a lot in order to settle in North Texas. They typically married young and had large families. Their cabins were often only 12 x 14 feet, so they had to be very sturdy and well constructed.
The arrival of a new railroad and post office in the late 1800s was a game changer for the town. The Cotton Belt, Katy, and Frisco railroads provided passenger and freight service through Carrollton, and the train station was an important hub of business activity.
This railroad and post office revolution was the start of a new era in the history of Carrollton, and the area became an important transportation hub for the entire region. The city is still well served by the three railroads that run through it, and they all offer access to major airports in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
A Visit to the Historic Trinity Mills
The first mill in the area was operated by A.W. Perry in the 1870s, and it is located in what is now known as Trinity Mills. The mill produced brick for many buildings, including the Belle Allen home, and several other structures in downtown Carrollton.
A visit to the historic mills can provide a great deal of insight into how life in Carrollton was different from what it is today. It is also a good place to enjoy some of the local culture and cuisine.
It’s a great way to spend the day with family or friends. There are also plenty of outdoor activities to keep everyone entertained.
Taking a stroll around this park is an excellent way to relax and unwind with your loved ones. The park spans 12.3 acres and features a large playground with rock climbing, slides, swings, and more. There are also restrooms and a rentable pavilion.
You can also take your kids here to enjoy a splash in the water. The park is a popular destination for those looking to cool down on a hot summer day.
The Rosemeade Recreation Center is a fun and affordable place to go with your family or friends. The facility has 2 gyms, 4 racquetball courts, volleyball and basketball courts, a game room, refreshment areas, and a dance floor.
There are plenty of things to do in Carrollton, and you can find many of them for free or very inexpensively. You can even visit the parks and museums for a cheap and fun experience!

Advantages of Spray Foam Insulation
There are some major advantages to spray foam insulation. The biggest one is that it’s a great way to save money on energy bills.
It also improves indoor air quality and reduces allergens. This is especially important if you or your family members suffer from allergies, asthma, or chemical sensitivities.
The foam expands to cover even the smallest nooks and crevices, making it an effective air-sealing insulator. It also has a high R-value that means you won’t have to replace it as often as other types of insulation.
Having a well-insulated home can be essential in preventing fires from occurring in your home. This will help prevent any short circuits or domestic accidents from causing a fire to break out.
Another benefit is that it makes your home safer by keeping moisture out of the walls and reducing the chances of mold infestation. Moisture can easily seep through gaps and cracks around vents and pipes, putting your home at risk for mold growth.
It also increases the sturdiness of your wall. This is because it’s dense and hard, so it won’t deform in the presence of heavy winds or strong snow.
The foam also has a high R-value, meaning that it will keep your home warm and cozy even when the temperature is low. This helps to prevent your energy bill from skyrocketing and can make your house more attractive to prospective homebuyers.
Finally, the foam is environmentally friendly, as it doesn’t emit any harmful chemicals. However, it’s worth noting that some of the blowing agents used in spray foam can have very high GWPs, which means they’re more than twice as powerful at accelerating climate change than carbon dioxide.
