I wanted to do a Code Lyoko cross stitch but I wasn't sure what sort of artwork to start with, then I remembered the sprites from Fall of XANA. I picked out some nice frames and then turned it into a pattern using FlossCross (wonderful tool btw). I'm really pleased with how it turned out!

You can find the pattern below if you want to make it for yourself. It uses DMC colours, though when I made it I swapped most of them for leftover Dimensions thread I already had, so the colours might be a bit different. On 14 count aida, the finished design measures about 15.5x6.5cm (6.1x2.5in).

So, today, I was busy raging over my master code just simply not working despite my careful debugging process. I had been pouring days into this program, and yet it just didn't want to work! Then a classmate of mine came up to me and said "Y'know, [Einstein], the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." If it weren't for the fact that I'm not a violent person and that said classmate was skilled in karate and pencak silat, I would've punched them. I'm NOT doing the same thing over and over again! I'm doing my carefully calculated minor changes to the code to make it work.

I watched Dimensional collision (a Roblox fangame based on Sonic exe the disaster but with múltiple videogame characters like Yuri and sayori from Doki Doki literature club, the cuphead bros, Sans, frisk(+flowey) and Chara from Undertale, Sonic, Tails and Vanilla (she has undyne spear)from Sonic and Boris from bendy!

And I thought what if someone did It with characters from TV shows?

The only series I think could have a Sonic exe ver is Code Lyoko because of X.A.N.A which is a IA and the plot is around a digital world

Obviously Xana is the exe

And I think adventure time could make into It as a crossover of sorts

I thought of Mabel and dipper from Gravity falls too but idk

Fighting X.A.N.A. was a job that should come with more coffee, you think as you sway through the halls of the Kadic dormitory.

Classes were over for the day, and so were your detention duties at the library and the garden shed.

The library duty was actually Aelita's, but before Jim could brand her with detention, you had swooped in to take the blame. It had become an unspoken rule amongst the others that Aelita -- baby angel -- shouldn't go through any more than she was already going through, so if she was in trouble for something, they would do anything for her.

Come to think of it, that's how we began, anyway... you think sleepily, rubbing your eyes as you find the room you're looking for. There is never any need to knock -- you just open the door and make a beeline for whatever free space is available.

A voice calls your name just as you plop headfirst onto the mattress.

"I'm crashing here." you announce before making yourself more comfortable and snuggling against the pillow.

You hear a chuckle and a reply.

Jeremie:

"You're as bad as Odd these days."

You're already asleep by then, so Jeremie just smiles to himself and gets back to his work on the antivirus.

However, he cannnot get work done.

Your relationship is fairly new, but the two of you have actually been friends throughout Kadic, but these naps mean something else to him now that you're both romantic partners.

It's not the first time you've crashed in his room unannounced, but that's the thing -- he likes it! He loves that you feel like it's a safe place for you to let your guard down.

You actually sleeping in his room also encourages him to work harder so that he can wow you with his techie prowess by making more progress on something that would help them fight X.A.N.A.

After a few minutes, though, he locks his bedroom door and crawls into bed beside you.

His sleep schedule is whack now, but because of that, he knows when Jim would come on rounds -- in fact, he can tell from five rooms away -- so he wants to nap with you for a while.

Sometimes he just lays with you for a while, listening to your breathing sounds (it calms him) before getting back to work.

Sometimes, he kisses your forehead and naps with you, with your foreheads touching as you lay side by side.

Odd:

"Hold on, sweetie, I'll join you too."

Ulrich: "Again?!"

Odd, and you at the same time: "Piss off, Ulrich."

Ulrich shrugs and either a) goes somewhere else or b) plugs in his earphones and chills there itself.

Odd loves cuddles!

He settles Kiwi down (or has him join too, if you're a dog person) and joins you on the bed.

You hum and nuzzle into the crook of his neck with your arms around his waist.

Odd actually cried out of joy the first time you did this. Ulrich has pictures.

Now he smiles and hugs your waist back, resting his chin on his head and closing his eyes.

Both you and Odd fall asleep within minutes.

If either of you gets warm or your limb falls asleep, you automatically switch positions in your sleep.

Odd can do anything in his sleep. One time, he dog-walked Kiwi while asleep and the gang had no idea what to do with him until Yumi came to the rescue (Hiroki probably had sleepwalking episodes).

Both of you wake up to a) Jeremie alerting them all about X.A.N.A., b) Jim coming on rounds, c) Kiwi jumping on Odd, or d) Ulrich drawing on one of your -- or both -- faces.

Ulrich:

"At this rate, you're practically my roommate, babe."

He crawls into bed with you, with a couple kisses on your face (this is when Odd isn't around or when Odd is napping too). "But I don't mind."

When Odd's there, he's just less cheesy and just climbes onto bed.

Ulrich is either sitting next to you or lying down next to you. He may not feel sleepy when you do sometimes, but he wants to be next to you when you're napping in his room.

Sometimes he finds your hand and plays with your fingers.

Odd: "You've got a real finger thing, Ulrich."

Ulrich: "Shut the hell up, Odd, and if you wake (y/n) up, I will bring hell to you."

When he naps with you, he prefers to be the big spoon and you the little spoon. I feel like Ulrich doesn't necessarily like the feeling of someone breathing on him.

Sometimes he hums to you (Odd can be present for this, he doesn't care).

Sometimes he whispers how much he loves you and how happy and lucky he is to have you (this happens when Odd can't hear him be cheesy).

William:

"Oh, babydoll..."

William loves you coming over like this.

He does not care if he has homework, a call with his parents, or even a goddamn exam -- he will join you.

Unless there's a X.A.N.A. attack, ofc.

He snuggles up next to you and strokes your hair as you slowly fall asleep.

He does not move away from you one bit.

Sometimes he reads poetry or classics to you and you hum back and sleep.

Then William slowly moves your head to his chest (if you didn't already do this when he came to cuddle, that is) and keeps running a finger or two in your hair.

If you're somewhat awake enough, you move up to his face for kisses and he happily obliges.

"I love you,"

"Mm, love you too, baby."

Sometimes, William just stares at the ceiling, his mind wandering as he strokes your hair and cuddles you in your sleep. Sometimes, he joins you.

Jim knows about this because he has caught the two of you on multiple occassions in the same month.

After the fourth time, though, he just gave up and let you two be.

You know, I’ve been thinking abt villain/redemption discourse and I want to propose a challenge. I call it the SU Test. How many shows do you know that actually give every single character a chance to heal and be better? And I do mean everyone. No deaths. There needs to be antagonists and/or “problematic” characters. Any piece of media is fine. Anyone is welcome to play. Ready? Go! (Btw really like this blog!)

I'm gonna give this challenge a shot! Chose animated shows and movies.

Let's see if everyone got "the Steven Universe treatment," a trope which villain-redemption haters claim is "saturating shows with redemption arcs galore." (Wut? Lol)

In Steven Universe, none of the villains were killed off nor punished through retributive means that prevented the characters from getting a second chance/improving as people.

Will this criteria apply to the shows on my list? Let's find out!

Note: I will only be mentioning villains who were punished (non-restoratively; i.e., not allowed to get better) or killed off. Even one instance of these outcomes disqualifies a story from receiving a Steven Universe star of approval. ⭐

Finally, Marvel and DC cartoons won't appear on the list. Teen Titans (2003) will be the sole exception, however.

Code Lyoko: Virus

So... I know that the prompt virus is technically for the first day of Code July 2020. But I had only found out about it like... as it was happening and was SUPER confused what was going on. And hadn’t had the time to consecutively keep up with it.

Most people I think are doing art. I’ve decided to just write out ideas  based on the word.

Being Sick

It’s incredibly important that none of the Lyoko Warriors get sick. It’s not even just about them needing to be in a position where they can run and fight whatever X.A.N.A. sends their way. The flu virus (or whatever viral infection they’ve caught) doesn’t just disappear when they go to Lyoko, it also becomes digitized and morphed into a digital virus. Headaches, dizziness, and nausea continue to persist, even on Lyoko, but they’re also the least of their problems. A single sneeze sends Ulrich super speeding backwards out of control. Special abilities are triggered by a sneeze or a cough, but fail to work when they’re needed the most. Their virus makes it nearly impossible to register the warrior’s identities, therefore making it impossible to bring them back out of Lyoko. It’s ridiculously dangerous to go into Lyoko while sick, because it might be the thing that prevents you from ever leaving. If you’re dematerialized, you could be gone forever. Or, even more terrifying, if Jeremy does instigate a return to the past, you’re still trapped in the super computer on Lyoko with a very pissed off X.A.N.A.

X.A.N.A. Plot

X.A.N.A. creates a virus that allows him to control Odd, Ulrich, and/or Yumi outside of Lyoko. It would be a lot easier for X.A.N.A. or at least a lot more convenient to be able to just control Odd, Yumi, and Ulrich. But, because they spend so much time on Lyoko fighting X.A.N.A. and X.A.N.A.’s monsters, they’re immune to being overshadowed/possessed. So, what if X.A.N.A. created a virus that took away that immunity and allowed X.A.N.A. direct control of one of the Lyoko Warriors. X.A.N.A. lures them onto Lyoko with a fake activated tower and ambushes them with monsters. As they’re distracted, the Scyphozoa grabs Odd, Yumi, or Ulrich and implants the virus in them. Ideally, X.A.N.A. would try to infect all of them with the virus, but would most likely succeed with at least one of them. Or maybe two if X.A.N.A manages to split them up and can summon more than one of those indestructible jellyfish.

Jeremy, of course, has no idea what the Scyphozoa did to them until it becomes clear that something’s wrong and one of the Lyoko Warriors is either trying to destroy the others or themselves. And X.A.N.A. doesn’t try to overshadow them right away, because the AI would know a little better than to underestimate these kids. X.A.N.A. waits until the teens go to sleep and takes over while Odd, Yumi, or Ulrich are asleep because that’s when they’ll be the most off guard. 

Contracted from the Digital Sea

The reason the Digital Sea was so dangerous and threatening was because falling into it meant disappearing from existence and being reduced into nothing but code. There’s no coming back from that. Except Yumi and Aelita both fell into the Digital Sea and also came back without anything bad happening. 

What if there were still consequences to falling into the Digital Sea, even if miraculously saved by a stroke of luck? Even though the program Odd inadvertantly helped created recovered Yumi, what if it didn’t bring her back? The Digital Sea is full of digitalized information, including viruses. Even though Yumi wasn’t in there long, her digital code became corrupted by a virus. What if she loses her memories or they become distorted? She doesn’t remember Ulrich, Odd, Aelita, and Jeremy. She doesn’t remember her family or X.A.N.A. 

Or her data is so corrupt or unrecognizable to the super computer that she can’t be dematerialized back into the scanner. What if she’s trapped on Lyoko as well, with Aelita? Her code is so corrupt and damaged that she can’t be brought back into the human world. She’s constantly glitching out, fading in and out of existence, her special ability activating without any warning, and slowly losing her memories and forgetting what it was like in the real world and what her family looks like. 

And even though Aelita is saved by her own father, and he protects her from most of the damaging content without the Digital Sea, her own special abilities/powers are on the fritz and she feels incredibly disoriented even though Lyoko was essentially her home for so long. Her code reverts back to how it was in season two, how if she was dematerialized by a monster, she was gone for good. There are damaging effects to being in the Digital Sea, due to countless viruses that make up the digital content.

So I finally got access to Code Lyoko: Quest for Infinity, and I find it kind of interesting that it has the opposite problems that Fall of X.A.N.A. had in terms of combat play. Quest seems to favor ranged combat, whereas Fall favors melee to such an extent it’s not even funny. Like, Aelita’s Energy Fields, which were a one-hit kill in the series, don’t really do much damage, and doubly so if you choose to fire multiples at once. Obviously, it can’t be a one-hit kill in the game, but you’d think it could at least do the same amount of damage as a melee attack.

           Aelita is all alone at Kadic Academy. She missed all her friends so much. And for some reason she's been having nightmares and doesn't know what to do. Who could she call?

          I do not own these characters. This is a fan fiction story of Code Lyoko. This story is set in AU where Odd and Aelita like each other and William is still possessed by X.A.N.A.

          Aelita stood there at the gates of Kadic at Academy wishing that her friends would just come back. She didn't know what to do but just stand there and look at the sky. Aelita walked back inside to her room and lied down. She decided to take a nap. Soon her eyelids became too heavy to hold and she fell asleep.

          In her dreams, Aelita was in the hermitage listening to Frans Hopper play the piano. Her mom was there as well. Suddenly, there was a banging on the door. William burst in. He knocked Frans unconscious and stole Aelita's mom. Aelita ran as fast as she could after them but William was nowhere to be found. Hungery wolves slowly surrounded her. They all jumped at her at once.

          Aeltia woke up out of breath. She began to cry heavily. She felt so alone. She didn't know who to call. Aeltia then remembered what Odd told her before leaving.

          "He did say that I could call him any time. But... it's only been a few hours. It'd be weird. I shouldn't call. I could just call Yumi." Aelita said while figuring out what to do. She picked up her phone and called Odd anyway.

          Odd's phone rang on the plane. He quickly answered the phone hoping no one would hear it go off. Luckily, the plane was already in the air so he was able to go to the bathroom to talk on the phone.

       "Hello? I'm on my plane back home. We're not supposed to be using them during the flight. So, this better be important." Odd said quietly.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Odd. I didn't know. I'll just go." Aelita said holding back her tears.

"Princess? Is that you? Wait! Don't go. What's wrong?" Odd said. "Well, I had a nightmare. William took my mom and then wolves attacked me. I'm so scared, Odd." "Oh, Princess, I'm so sorry. I thought you were over having nightmares." Odd said trying to comfort her. "I thought so too but I had one. How long do I'm scared fall asleep again." Aelita said crying. "Aelita, don't cry. Just think abouy things that makes you happy. Think about us." Odd said. "Us?" Aelita asked curiously. "Yeah, the Lyoko Warriors." Odd replied. "Oh, I thought that you meant-- uh, nothing." Aelita said while blushing bright pink.

          Someone knocked on the bathroom door that Odd was in. "Uh, Princess, I have to go. Remember, happy thoughts before bed." 'Bye, Aelita." Odd said quickly. He hung up the phone and opened the door.

"Geez, can't a guy get some privacy in here?" He said as he walked out. He sat down in his seat and smiled at the fact that Aelita called him.

          "Happy thoughts? Hmm, happy thoughts." Aeltia said while trying to think of some. Aeltia got up out of bed and went for a walk on school campus. She sat down on a bench. Aeltia began to think about her friends and the fun times they shared. Then, she started thinking of all the funny stunts Odd used to pull. She couldn't help but smile the whole time. She began to miss all of them. She began to really miss Odd.           Hey, guys! Sorry about this story being late. When Irma came through, I ran out of data. You mumble in protest, saying that you'd do it any day, but all that comes out is sleepy nothings and Aelita giggles because you're so cute.

She gives you a kiss on the cheek and then one on top of your head.

You crack your eyes open a little and smile at her.

"More!"

She giggles and asks you to give her some space to, and you do. She lays with you and wraps her arms around your neck.

As you close your eyes again, Aelita gives you so many kisses on your face, holding you close.

Once she's convinced you're asleep you're not. you're about to fall asleep but you're still sort of awake, she gives you a tiny peck on the lips.

"I'm so happy I have you." Ofc Aelita is happy she has everyone on the team, but you're just something special.

Yumi:

In this case, you actually crash in your own room, where Yumi was waiting for you so you two could hang out.

A day student staying in the dorms after school was kind of risky, but Yumi told her parents she was going to tutor you and you told Jim she'd be here for the evening, so there were no risk factors anyway and you two could cuddle away.

"That bad, huh?" Yumi asks.

You nod against the pillow, and can feel her shifting closer to you.

Yumi notices the dark circles under your eyes and frowns like she doesn't have the same ones from fighting X.A.N.A. and not gettting enough sleep, but this was you and she wanted you to be as rested as possible!

"Stop frowning at me, Yumi," you grumble, knowing her too well.

Yumi sighs and strokes your hair.

"Can you read to me?" you ask, cracking your eyes open.

Ofc Yumi has a novel or poetry book of some sorts with her at all times. She doesn't admit it, but William did get her into reading more classics and poetry.

She totally asked William for tips to woo you.

Yumi takes out some poetry and recites it for you and you drift off to sleep at the sound of her voice.

Yumi didn't mind that you were asleep for the entire duration she was there with you -- it still counted as spending time with you, in her books! -- but she's sad it didn't last longer and she has to go home.

She gives you a kiss on the forehead, tucks you in with a blanket and turns off your lights with a note by your desk.

She also tells Jeremie and Aelita to wake you for dinner.

Code Lyoko Headcanons

More Code Lyoko Headcanons! Mainly Aelita and Yumi centric.

1. Despite Jeremy being Aelita’s best friend, though that word doesn’t truly describe how close they are because they’re more or less glued to each other, Yumi is the one who she confides the most to first.

2. It’s not that Aelita has a lot of secrets from Jeremy, but Yumi is the person she goes to first to talk all the irrationality out and be told that she isn’t overreacting and her emotions aren’t getting the better of her.

3. Yumi and Aelita know the boys would never make them feel like their thoughts and feelings aren’t valid, especially if they knew what’s good for them, but there is still that fear that they are being over-emotional because they’re girls and society can have a skewed perception on which gender has the most emotional control and which gender tends to fly off the handle.

4. When Aelita finally came to Earth, Yumi was the one who took her shopping for clothes and basic necessities. Who else was going to help her get bras and pads/tampons? 

5. Yumi and Aelita lean on each other for a type of validation and support the boys can’t provide. Or at least a kind they don’t believe the boys could provide.

6. Aelita and Yumi are the only two in the group to have been trapped in a Guardian and to fall in the Digital Sea/be permanently deleted (even if it was just temporary). Odd, Jeremy, and Ulrich would never be able to understand how that felt in the same way the girls do.

7. Aelita is the first person Yumi opened up to about her trauma in being deleted and the terror she feels about falling into it again. Aelita asks Yumi questions about if being in the Guardian was as lonely an experience for her as it was for Aelita. 

8. Aelita and Yumi are so close, they’ve become the sisters neither girl ever had before.

9. When William was possessed by X.A.N.A., Aelita spent the entire night with Yumi in Aelita’s dorm, letting the girl cry and trying to reassure her that it wasn’t Yumi’s fault. Yumi doesn’t believe that, because she was the one who had been so stubborn before about not letting William in, about not trusting him. She should have trusted her gut instincts.

10. Aelita is secretly happy that Yumi and Ulrich never rushed into a relationship. As much as she loves her friends, she thinks they need to mature and grow up a lot more before making a decision that could ruin the entire friend group. Yumi is so happy with Ulrich, regardless of any romantic relationship status, but their fights can drag Yumi down to an emotionally dark place. Aelita hates to see it.

11. Aelita also secretly hates herself sometimes when she thinks about what she did when she was under X.A.N.A.’s control through a stupid necklace. She hates that she made one of her best friends face one of their greatest fears and was the cause that it almost happened. There are a lot of things she regrets doing despite not having any control, but that is definitely a big one.
