second brain
i saw this concept online where you can have a second brain for things your brain can't hold and I didn't think it was important till i started going deep into Javascript and i kept encountering, going back and forth with information, articles and resources. Just so much to read so I created a Second Brain - Basically an organized Notion Page where I can sort everything out in order and @codomars inspired me to add Notes to it so I can easily go back and read my notes to refresh my memory on concepts, topics or mechanisms I need to remember and I have the Notion app installed on my phone so I can always read or reach out to my other brain when I need it.

Write Camp Day 15!
Day 15 of @agirlandherquill 's Write Camp event, and my third entry for it! I was inspired to write something for Wolf, one of the main characters for my Minecraft inspired fantasy story, Souls of Black. Admittedly this is more of a practice piece on trying to write his voice for the story, but regardless I hope it's good!
Prompts used:
"You aren't ever on your own. Because I am here. And I always will be."
I hope you all enjoy, and do tell me if you did, and what parts you enjoyed the most :)

Story under the cut
Coder was working harder than he usually was, which worried Wolf, because Coder didn't tend to work hard.
It wasn't that Wolf's little brother was lazy. He was sprightly for his body's younger age, even more so for how long he had been Awake. Coder understood the demanding life they'd had in the Tundra, to hunt for food so they would not starve, or to dig out more of the bunker underneath their small igloo on the snow's surface. If anything, he had enjoyed the work, because he knew it necessary.
But here in the Plains, it was different. Wolf knew it in his bones. There were no freezing temperatures to warm away, nor a decided lack of food--especially not with the farm curling around the back and right of Phoebe's oak cottage. It was here that Wolf continued to see his brother's decsive... eagerness with the work. But it was wrong. Coder was taking up more work than given to him.
In fact, Coder was insistent he take the work given to Wolf.
Wolf worked out in Phoehe's farm with his brother, kneeling as he gently scattered the wheat seeds into the fresh tilled ground. Coder had taken the job of tilling the rest of the farmland, despite Wolf's protests. So now, Wolf planted the seeds. They were odd things, barely putting space between his forefinger and thumb when pressed between them. They were tan in color, unlike the blue-green of the chilled plants from the Tundra. Wolf had been surprised Coder's interest in them hadn't lingered, as it had with most other plants they had found in the Plains since being displaced.
At the thought of his displacement, Wolf felt his scars--most as thin as a pine needle, spiderwebbing across his arms and torso--suddenly flare with heat. It was muted, most of it prevented by the fire resistance potion Phoebe had given him two days previous, but it still made Wolf flinch.
He sighed, taking a few deep breaths, before he stood, having planted the last of the wheat seeds he'd had. He looked to Coder, seeing the boy tilling the last edge of the farm. Coder had left his thick coat in the cottage, alongside his gloves and light blue, long-sleeved undershirt, removing them due to the hotter temperatures in the Plains. Now, he worked only in his short-sleeved white shirt underneath his dark blue vest, with his brown trousers tucked into his light blue boots, which matched his scarf that he still wore. A scarf Wolf had gifted him years ago.
"Coder," Wolf called in Blizori, their native tongue. It was not slurred as Dridonic was, enunciating each sound almost rhythmically, and precisely. "I will get more seeds."
Wolf turned, starting to head for the back door of Phoebe's cottage. But he paused as he saw Coder perk up, and suddenly drop the stone hoe and rush over.
"It is okay! I have it!" Coder exclaimed, racing past Wolf. Wolf blinked, then sighed and shook his head.
"Coder!" Wolf called, more forcfully this time. The boy stumbled to a halt, then looked back.
"Um... yes?" Coder tensed. Wolf walked towards him, frowning.
"What is the meaning of this?" Wolf asked.
"Meaning of what?" Coder laughed, but it was nervous. He looked away, hiding further in his light blue scarf.
"You bestow my work upon yourself when you should not," Wolf said, his frown deepening. "I assure you, I can grab seeds from a chest."
"Yes, well, I can too!" Coder said. "Besides, I want to! I want to help!"
Wolf paused as Coder looked up at him, looking almost defiant, but desperate. Wolf pursed his lips, frowning more, before he sighed.
"There is something deeper, Coder." Wolf gently placed a hand on his brother's shoulder. "I know it." Coder instantly looked away, hiding in his scarf again. Wolf smiled gently, then crouched slightly, getting to Coder's eye level. "You may tell me, brother. That is what I am here for."
Coder studied Wolf's face, fiddling with his hands nervously, before he nodded quietly. "Okay," he said hesitantly. He sat in the grass, watching as Wolf knelt beside him, then took a deep breath.
"I do not believe you should be working, Wolf," Coder said. "Not with... your scars..." Coder's hands and voice trembled as he mentioned Wolf's current ailment. Wolf's expression softened.
"I assure you, I am fine," Wolf said, and smiled reassuringly as he gently squeezed Coder's shoulder. But Coder, for once, didn't smile back, instead pursing his lips and shaking his head.
"I cannot leave you to do things yourself anymore," Coder whispered. "With the pain--"
"It is muted by Phoebe's potion," Wolf reminded him.
"I know, but--" Coder sighed shakily and angrily, wringing his hands together in his lap. "But it is not cured, brother! It will pain you again! And they will spread more!"
"But not for now," Wolf said gently.
"For now does not matter if I end up losing you again!" Coder shouted. Wolf's eyes widened, seeing Coder glare at him with tears in his eyes. But Coder's flash of anger quickly melted into guilt, and he tucked his knees to his chest, looking away.
"I-I am sorry, I did not mean to..." Coder's voice shook, and Wolf gently moved closer, wrapping his arms around his little brother.
"I know," Wolf said softly, gently rubbing Coder's back. "It is all right."
Coder sniffled, blubbering as he buried his face into Wolf's chest. "I cannot lose you once more," he said.
Wolf held his brother, remembering that night they were displaced. Murdered. The group in diamond armor had not been from the Tundra. They had told the two they were trespassing, and killed them for it.
Wolf had saved Coder from a flaming, glowing sword, the same sword that had killed him, and gave him the scars he had now. Wolf had often found part of himself regretting the choice, as it had left Coder to die alone and defenseless, just after watching his older brother drop in front of him.
"I am sorry," Wolf whispered. "I should not have made you watch that. But I could not think of any other alternative than to protect you, Coder."
Coder pulled away slightly, looking up at Wolf as he dried his multicolored eyes. The right brown, and the left a light, almost ice blue. Eyes that should not have been filled with the sadness they now held.
"But, I am not fragile," Wolf continued, and gently helped wipe away Coder's tears. "I can handle a bit of farm work. It is the same as we had before, in our igloo. Remember?"
Wold smiled gently, and Coder nodded slightly. He breathed deeply. "I just... we were lucky. Death is not always kind, as to drop us near each other. What if... what if I end up alone, after you inevitably... die." He shook slightly. "I cannot just let that happen. I have to do something now, Wolf, to amend for my failure of doing nothing that night!"
Wolf paused, then shook his head. "You are not a failure, Coder," he said. "They were armed. There were many of them. There is nothing you could have done."
"Which is why I must act now!" Coder cried. "I can protect you now, and make sure I do not lose you again!"
Wolf sighed, and gently put his large hands on Coder's shoulders. "You are never alone, Coder. You will never be alone, because I am here." Wolf gently pressed against where Coder's heart was in his chest. "And I always will be."
Coder frowned, opening his mouth to argue, but Wolf cut him off. "In your heart, you will know I still live. Despite my scars, despite any distance that comes between us, I still live after death, as does everyone. And there is no thing, man nor creature, that will stop me from trying to return to you."
Coder stared at him, then looked down at his hands in his lap. "What if we cannot find each other?" he asked quietly. "What if I never see you again, after our separation?"
"You will." Wolf gently lifted Coder's chin, making his brother look up at him. "You must not lose faith, Coder. For that is the only reason we will stay apart. I have faith in you. Do you have faith in me?"
Coder nodded instantly. "Yes."
Wolf smiled at him. "Then there is nothing that can keep us separate. Not even death."
Slowly, Coder nodded again, and suddenly hugged Wolf tightly. Wolf winced as his tunic rubbed against his scars, but he quickly covered it with a smile, putting an arm around Coder.
"I love you, brother," Coder murmured, gently breaking the silence that had fallen over them. Coder looked up at Wolf. Wolf looked down at him, then smiled brightly.
"I love you too," he said.

Reposting this. Within next week, I'm thinking of posting a Google form with minimum sections to gather a list of discords of coders to invite and/or send an invite to those who reply in the post. The server will be super basic and functional. I'm not much of a chatter, so it'll be mostly a hub for sharing and planning. The idea is a coding group, sort of a coalition, where 1-2 diff coders produce a free skin each month in 3 month cycles. I have a writing retreat coming up, so I'll be away for a bit. In the meantime, please share this around. Thanks for the feedback, positivity, and interest.
Be well.
Sending Feelers for a Coding Group
Are there any coders/skinners out there in the jcink coding community that would be interested in creating/joining a coding community where members produce 1 free premare skin or set of resources each every 1-3 months? It would be more about having fun with coding while being productive and contributing without too much pressure. Not quite jcink skinathon but... sort of?

I've been thinking a bit about game accessibility lately and like-
Proxy voice chat systems are really cool, I love it. But I was wondering if anything like that exists to some degree for text chat systems?
There's some really great party games out there but I've noticed that many of them rely on people using their voice.
I know this game isn't a party game (and it isn't an example that has proxy-chat), but I like that Apex gives people a text chat and a diverse pinging system so people can communicate with their team even if they can't use their voice.

That's MY Daughter
DC x Fem!Neglected!Batsis! Reader x Marvel [Just some midnight thoughts]
Tumblr media
Bruce and Tim realised something odd about Stark Industries. Ever since a few months ago the technology being produced there had improved by an unbelievable amount. It was futuristic, nothing that this world has seen before. And the weirdest part of it is the fact that Tony Stark had offered to partner up with Wayne Enterprises. THE Tony Stark, Iron Man, the most egotisical man they knew had willingly offered to partner up with them? After years of being petty with Bruce and the JL?
Tim had been made to prepare to become the new CEO soon, thus he recently started taking up more work at Wayne Enterprises when the agreement was made. Though instead of Tony being the one to talk about ideas it was an unknown woman communicating with him about the ideas, the product, the marketing, etc. And the merge of the two companies was an absolute success, the marketing especially drawing in young adults. (courtesy of Tim and the mysterious women who seems to be around the same age as him)
Who was the mysterious women though? Well both Bruce and Tim could only come to one solution. The least known character to Bruce, to Batman, which says a lot considering the fact that he had made a contingency plan for every Avenger, every hero, including his own teammates, including himself, yet this one character was completely unknown, zero plans if she were to go rogue. And that drove Bruce crazy. Her file was blank. Every vital information was marked with the word 'unknown'. It had been making Bruce paranoid for years since she had appeared next to the Avengers.
The reassurance from the Avengers never helped. It was as if something was gnawing at him. After all how could he trust them anyways? (careful Bruce your trust issues are showing)
One of the only things they knew about her is that she is the main hacker/coder for the Avengers, hence the reason why the Avengers digital security was admittedly better than the Justice League's and how much faster they got, what should be, classified information. (no matter how much Bruce wants to deny it)
And her codename, Special Agent Reaper. No she wasn't originally an Avenger, she was crowned the most skilled assassin of this era, working under S.H.I.E.L.D and one of the sole reasons why all of the HYDRA agents that have sneaked into S.H.I.E.L.D have been successfully taken out, her name would pass by in the wind every so often, they might be rumours or the truth but no one truly knows. Hell even Ra's Al Ghul, The Demon’s Head, had acknowledged her once. Even Talia had admitted that Damian's fighting technique was made to mirror The Reaper's, the only difference is he used katanas while the Reaper, fittingly, uses a scythe.
But one thing was for sure. If you saw the shadow of a hooded figure you better run, though at that point it might be too late.
As the saying goes, "Beware of the Grim Reaper. Wherever it goes death follows closely behind.”
⋆༺𓆩☠︎︎𓆪༻⋆
“Ah! Brucie! Here you are!” Tony said, wine in hand as he approached Bruce at the gala. Well that was a first. He usually never played into the Brucie persona. Well nonetheless the show must go on.
“Tony!” Bruce threw himself at the other billionaire, acting as if he was drunk, ignoring the way Tony’s expression turned into a grimace for a split second.
As usual, they were both around other pretentious socialites who never seemed to run out of questions.
“Ah! Tony, I heard Stark Industries have been bringing in more money than ever.”
“Oh yes! It’s all because of this prodigy i had found. She actually was the reason why Stark Industries and Wayne Enterprises had a collab. I might even give the company to her when I retire!" He let out a laugh that seems to emanate the word 'rich', a small smirk stayed on his lips as he heard the guests at the gala begin to whisper.
"Oh? Is that so? Then I would love to meet the person I have been working with this entire time." Tim Drake-Wayne said as he finally came out of the corner where he would usually stay in to observe rather than interact.
"Be my guest." A subtle challenge, as if Tony was daring him to go through with it as they locked eyes. A smirk on one face while a well practiced smile on the other.
Bruce let out a light hearted laugh as he tightened his grip around Tony, a subtle warning to stay away from his son, "Well then I wouldn't mind arranging a meeting! I'm sure you wouldn't mind the others joining." His tone had a slight change that even the most observant wouldn't realise.
Bruce could barely keep up the 'Brucie' act with Tony bragging about how Stark Enterprises profits have shot up with him finding a 'prodigy' and someone who will take over the company once he retires.
"Not at all. The more the merrier. I assume you wouldn't mind me inviting more people as well." Tony sipped his wine, he wasn't one to back out from a challenge, especially when he is so confident.
⋆༺𓆩☠︎︎𓆪༻⋆
This certainly wasn't how the Justice League and the Avengers expected their next meeting to happen. A petty fight between the two men that singlehandedly funds their respective teams causing all of them to be in one room together.
"Well then, Stark. Where is this prodigy that you speak so highly of?" Bruce said as he sported his famous batglare.
"I assure you she is on her way. She should just be right about done with her mission." Tony replied with the same tone, shooting a glare as well.
Meanwhile the two teams were watching this as if it was the most entertaining show they have seen.
.
.
.
"Hey I'm here." Y/n entered the hall, still wearing her assassin suit, though her signature black hood was down, revealing her face.
Silence seemed to engulf the room.
"Kid... Your hood."
"...Fuck."

WriteCamp Day 7
I'd like to thank @agirlandherquill for coming up with this writing challenge of Write Camp and giving out prompts! You can visit this post of hers to see the different prompts already given, as well as the link to the invite to the challenge itself!
I decided to do something for my Minecraft inspired fantasy story, Souls of Black, since it's been on my mind lately! The prompts I used are:
"Easy now, I'd hate to wipe that grin away so soon."
An echoing cave
Story under the cut (also I wrote this on a whim so if it's subpar, that is why lol)
I hope you all enjoy!
"Easy now." The brunette man tensed, lifting his chin as an iron saber suddenly pressed against his throat. The woman's voice beside him echoed in the cavern they stood in. "I'd hate to wipe that grin away so soon."
Reaper glared at the man in the leather coat, breathing heavily. Some of his lackeys looked at her with wide eyes, freezing as they saw Reaper's saber pressed against their leader's jugular. Alarik Crow, however, glanced over with an even wider smile, his light green eyes filled with amusement.
"Now, is that any way to treat the one who saved you and yours, Drifter?" he asked. He was also out of breath, a testament to the fight he'd joined Reaper and her friends in against the monsters of the large cavern.
"What in The Black's name are you doing here, Crow?" Reaper demanded, her voice echoing around them.
"Saving your life, it seems." Alarik shrugged, starting to step to turn more towards her. He froze as she pressed her sword further to his neck.
"Why?" Reaper demanded.
"Um, Reaper?" Coder spoke up from behind her, sounding small. Terrified of their current situation. "Do we really want to do this? Here?"
Reaper didn't respond, glowering at the man in front of her. Reaper and her friends—Phoebe, Wolf, and Coder—had been trapped in the network of tunnels beneath the Jagged Peaks for days now. They'd run into a cavernspine nest, and in the middle of the battle, Alarik and some of his Sunset Crow raiders had showed up, staggering out of a side tunnel. The cavernspine had thought to attack them as well, and it had turned into both sides fighting together, leading to the remains of the twisting creatures laying scattered around them now.
Even after the battle, Reaper's Sense was still active, sending cold pulses down her spine in way to warn her of danger. Currently, it was focused on Alarik, picking up the waves that washed from him with every small movement he made. She could feel his chest rising and falling with each breath in her mind's eye. The man looked to her, his smile fading for a more serious expression.
"Your friend is right, Drifter," Alarik said. "Where there's one cavernspine nest, there's many more. We should move."
"With you?" Reaper scoffed. "Of course. Let me trust the man who dueled and killed me not even a month ago!"
"You asked for it."
"You still did it!"
"Calm, please!" Reaper looked to her left, seeing Phoebe looking at her desperately. The skirt of her green dress was tattered at the ends, her tanned skin scuffed and covered in purple cavernspine blood from the fighting. Her rich, brown curls with auburn highlights was a mess, the white bow at the back of her head askew.
"We don't have time for this," Phoebe said. "Reaper, just... let him go."
Reaper stared at her for a moment, before she grit her teeth. She glared back at Alarik, and the man's smile had returned. The smile of a man who knew his favorable odds.
"I could kill you right now," she hissed through clenched teeth.
"And I would regenerate somewhere else," Alarik replied smoothly. His eyes narrowed. "But, that would leave my crew without me. I will not abandon them."
She glanced to the crew members with Alarik. It was only five of them, nearly a fourth of his entire raid team, but each of them looked roughed up and battered, not only from the fight they had just joined. Around their left arms was a black band, with the symbol of their crew: a profile drawing of a crow head, flanked by half circles of a drawn sun. They looked nearly ready to leap forward and take Reaper themselves, hesitating only due to her blade against their leader's neck.
"Oh, so the thieving and murderous raid captain has morals after all, hm?" Reaper sneered, looking back at Alarik.
Alarik narrowed his eyes, his smile switching for a scowl. "Do not act like you are not the same."
"I'm not. I'm nothing like you."
"Yet you hold your sword centimeters from my death," Alarik snapped. "The longer you yell at me, the more time it gives for the other nests undoubtedly here to wake and hear your echoes!" His own voice raised, bouncing off the walls. He breathed deeply, reigning his temper. "You will not survive down here without us, Drifter. You need my diamond armor and blade. And before you disagree, remember how well you were faring against these simple cavernspine before we arrived."
Reaper held Alarik's gaze for a few moments. His smile was gone for good. He was serious.
Reaper hissed out a breath, whipping her saber away from his neck as she stepped back towards her friends. Alarik's crew relaxed, and the man himself did the same. "Fine," Reaper spat. She pointed her sword at him. "But if you try anything. You'll be leaving these caves without the rest of your precious crew."
Alarik adjusted his coat, brushing it off as he glanced at her with narrowed eyes. "Message recieved."

But anyways, I'm not sure if this has been asked or not... but is there any information on why the camera turns on during that one scene if you snoop on Rens desk? Was it Ren controlling it to watch the mc? does ren know that the mc was snooping or is only pretending not to? (sorry for any bad grammar >_<)
⌞♥⌝ YEEEAAAAG!!!! If you ever release your VN, feel free to let me know so I can check it out ^^
As for your questions... This is very unfortunate, but I can't answer them as they will be explained in future updates!! But you're welcome to theorise and share your thoughts with da rest of the community :3
